It was half past 2 am, and Jim was still awake.

He’d gone to bed hours ago, but found himself unable to fall asleep. Even with his window open, the night was still a bit too quiet. It’s wasn’t that he wasn’t tired. He was rather exhausted, in fact. But his mind just wouldn’t stop running.

There wasn’t even one particular thing he was thinking of, just the lingering feeling that something bad was going to happen, whether it be in the near or distant future; a fear that had a nasty habit of plaguing him in the latest hours of the night when he was left alone with his thoughts. After hours of trying to drift off to sleep, Jim couldn’t take it anymore and pulled the covers off of himself, climbing out of bed and carefully treading out of his room, keeping one arm extended outwards to feel for the door since his eyes had not yet adjusted properly to the darkness.

He was careful to close the door slowly behind himself, turning the knob as to make as little noise as possible. Jim kept one hand against the wall as he walked down the hallway, his eyes gradually adjusting to his surroundings with the help of the moonlight shining through the window.

Finally, he came to the door to your room. As he reached for the doorknob, he froze in his spot and began to reconsider. It was so late and chances were you were probably fast asleep by now, and he already felt bad for wanting to wake you. But then he remembered your words from a while back, reminding him that he could wake you if he needed you. And right now, he did. Plus, he knew you would feel bad if he lost any more sleep because he decided to try and dealing with his anxiety alone.

With the same precision as before, he carefully turned the knob to your bedroom door and tip-toed in to see you lying fast asleep, kinda sprawled out along your bed, your lips parted slightly.

You had left your curtains open, allowing the silvery light of the moon to shine into your room and into your bed. He could see your back and shoulders rise and fall steadily with every breath you took.

Now he felt really bad for what he was about to do.

Jim proceeded with caution towards the vacant side of your bed and gently lifted the covers so he could slide into the spot next to you. As he expected, you must have felt the mattress dip as he climbed into your bed, causing you to stir in your sleep. A meek groan sounded from you as you stretched and rubbed your eyes, peeking one eye open to see your boyfriend timidly positioned on your bed next to you.

Once you registered the situation, you rubbed your face and propped yourself up on your elbows. With a sniffle, you asked if he was okay and what time it was in a hushed tone, your voice a little groggy from going hours without using it.

Jim took a breath in to respond, but came up empty, unsure as to how to explain why he was in your room at 2:30-something in the morning. He muttered shy apologies for waking you and rubbed the back of his neck, glancing between you and the window as he stumbled over his words.

This wasn’t the first time Jim had come to you like this, and he knew you wouldn’t sling off at him for it, of course, but he was still a bit sheepish. Coming up empty, he merely let out a slow puff of air through his nose and let his shoulders slump in defeat as he stared at his lap.

That on its own answered the first half of your question, and your expression shifted into one of sympathy as you sat up in your spot on the bed, lazily opening your arms as an invitation to come to you.

Jim quietly accepted, scooting closer to you so he could comfortably fit into your arms. You shifted around slightly just to ensure your legs wouldn’t get sore as you slowly rubbed gentle circles over his back. After the first couple of times, you had grown familiar with what to do in this scenario. You pulled away gently and reached over to open the covers further, patting the spot on the mattress next to you.

Moments later, you were lying on your sides facing each other beneath your comforter, your legs loosely entangled. Jim had rested his head on your chest with his arms wrapped around your middle while you had one arm draped over his shoulder while the other gently stroked his head.

“You’re okay,” you spoke in a hushed voice, taking your time with your words and tightening your hold on him ever so slightly, and he did the same. “It’s alright now… Everything’s gonna be okay.”

Jim felt his eyelids begin to fall closed as he left his mind start to shut down, allowing him to only put whatever energy he had left into breathing. There was no fire, no storm, no disaster, there was only you, with him, in this room. Tonight, you were his, and he was yours. And so it would be come morning, and for as long as you two wished. It took a while, but eventually, your sweet nothings began to fade out as he finally succumbed to exhaustion.

And at last, the night was truly quiet.

Jim had noticed you for quite some time before it came to actually making a move on you

He knew you were shy, you were shy with everyone, but with him it seemed you just tried to disappear right into yourself

He didn't really understand why, so he went to his mom about it

Her answer? She probably likes you

Well that was a first

He doubted it at first, and unconsciously started doing things to test this theory. To see if you really did like him

But the more he tried not to like you too, the more he did

He knew Delbert was gonna kill him if he found out Jim liked his daughter

but what else was he supposed to do? he couldn’t ignore you, not when he loved the reaction of you getting so shy on him

He asks you out late at night, Delbert is talking to his mother and he thinks it’s the perfect time

He sneaks in through one of the open windows of the small house, the soft sound of music in the background comforting to him

He sees you standing in the kitchen, drying a the last few dishes with a small smile on your face

“Hey Y/n.” Jim says in your ear, and you jump

“J-Jim! Don’t do that, you scared me.” She says, a hand on her chest to calm her breathing

“Sorry sorry, you’re easy to scare.” He says, before he sees your eyes looking at the hand he has tucked behind his back

“What do you have?” You ask quietly, and he smiles at the blush that creeps up onto your face

“Look, Y/n, I-“ He pauses, nervous. “I know I’m probably the last person you’d want to ask you this but, I really like you.” He says, pulling out a few flowers from behind him holding it between the two of you. “I really want to take you out. If you’d let me, of course.” He says, his head dipping a bit. He might get in trouble a lot but he still respects you

“Jim, I’d love too.” You say, you’re quiet and shy about it, leaning into your shoulder with a smile. He grins wide and hands you the flowers, watching as you go to put them in a vase.

Working at the Inn Jim has met a lot of people but only one ever caught his attention.

Y/n L/n she came here almost everyday and always ordered the same thing, she never spoke much and always sat in a far corner.

He has served her a few times.

Y/n was doctors Delberts student since she was a little child and even growing up she was really quiet her nose dug into a book or her sketch book.

When they turned 14 she became very pretty but every guy was soon turned down if they tried to take her out with 'i have to study' or 'im busy' not Jim though.

Jim had to admit she was pretty and he would lie if he said he didn't feel anything towards the girl but he masked it better he often flirted with her with words or slightly brushing his finger on her waist and hands as he knew she had a crush on him as he once overheard her talking to morph and she would always get flustered, stutter and blush when he did and if he really felt like torturing her a bit he usualy asked her to tell about her studys or discoverys as he pulled a chair closer and sat right across from her their knees almosy touching as he drew small shapes on her upper thighs as she closed them and her breathing became heavy.

He never listen to her but looked at her with a smirk as she held her face in book as she couldnt look him in the eyes.

Sometimed if she droped somethinghe would reach down as one of his hands fully went to her thigh as the other took the object his fingers slightly brushing from her ankle to knee.

Today was his day off so he decided to work on his solar board in his room.

Meanwhile Y/n was sitting in her corner reading before Sarah and Doctor asked if she could bring Jim up his new solar board plans he had asked for.

She said yes not wanting to be rude and made her way up the steps squezing her sketchbook and study book to her chest as she stood by the door.

She gave a knocm as she heard a 'come in' she walked in and looked at Jim whp had his back turned to the door before she walked in.

"Um, Sarah asked me to bring it up to- to you" Jim looked at the plans before smiling thinking this was the perfect moment to tease her a bit.

"Thanks can you bring it here" he said walking to the desk.

He leaned on hand on table his body facing you, he was wearing his black cargo pants and a white shirt that left his arms shown and Y/n almost passed out from that alone as his abs were clearly seen.

She placed the papers down and and wanted to turn away but he lightly grabed her arm standing fully.

"I had a question" he said and she nodded before quickly saying okey "is there something about solar pannels in that book of yours, doll" he askes pointing at the book.

"Y-yes " the girl mumbled before setting down her book and opening it.

She got the section to solar pannels and quickly read it before she began to explain it to the guy next to her her eyes glued fo the book as she didnt risk looking anywhere else.

Jim pulled his chair sitting down his legs open and slightly traping her own legs between his as he leaned on the table more looking at her.

The truth is he knew all about sun pannels and what benifits will they give he just loved teasing her.

He took notice of the girls short skirt then went just above the mid of her upper thigj as it was a hot day outside.

He brushed his fingera up and down behind of her legs going almost under her skirt but stoped.

He saw her face flash red as she breathed heavly and closed her eyes while she stuttered to explain.

"And umm you charge um your a your board during the um day and you can then ride all all night ye" she said.

"Can i see your drawing" he asked knowing she wouldnt but now she wasnt thinking clearly.

"Yes i mean um n-no" she said quuckly mumbling as she placed her hand over the sketch book.

He pulled closer on his chair making her almost fall in his lap as he traced the small veins that almost showed on her hand thw was covering the book.

He looked up at her her eyes unwilingly looking at him.

She slowly not thinking took off her hand and when she realized what she had done she quickly went to retrieve it from the boy.

He got uo and walked awya she followes him.

He opened a random page and a drawing of him serving food was there, it wasnt finished but he smirkes as he look through the drawings.

"Didn't know i was that hot" he said.

Y/n went to grab it but he pulled the book away and placed one hand infront of her while making a quick no no no sound.

He closed the book placed it on the table before walking over to her.

She steped back with every step untill she fell on his bed sitting up quickly.

He got down on his knees and looked up at the girl as both of his hands went on the girls thighs making her draw a sharp breath and her cheeks grow a new shade of pink.

She looked away to his board bur he quickly grabed her chin and turned her to face him making her blush even harder.

"How long will you pretend doll?" He asked as he looked at her thigh drawing small shaped and going even under her skirt almost touching her underwear.

"I- umm i dont know w-what yo-you are talking about" she said quickly.

"You like me, you fantasize about me" he said.

"N-no i dont" she said.

"So if i kiss you right now, you will tell me to stop"

"Now now now" she kept mumbling something about how crazy and insane it would be as she pulled her self on his bed closer to the head board.

She mentaly cursed herself when she hit the headboard as Jim sat there his fingers running up and down her inner thigh as she looked around the room while he took her chin and leaned to make him look at her.

Y/n has always been flustered around the boy but now she felt like passing out, she felt even more nervouse when she felt how close to her now extreamly wet and needy pussy he was.

"Jim dont" she breathed out looking at his hand.

"Why? Are you scared i might see just how much you like me" he said to her as he pulled his hand away from her leg as it went to the side of her head and he went on top of her.

She unmindedly opened her legs letting him closer as he leaned down to her and softly kisses her but soon went down her neck.

When he's mad

He'd be very passive-aggressive.

However, he's not toxic.

He wouldn't try to manipulate you into apologizing or anything.

If he knows he's in the wrong, he'd apologize.

Sometimes, it'd take him a hot minute to realize, so just be patient.

He doesn't express his emotions to you very often, at least not negative ones, because he can be a little insecure.

He worries that if he does show you his 'broken' side, you'll leave him too. (Don't even try and tell me this boy doesn't have abandonment issues. 😤)

After an argument, he'd walk away and disappear for a while.

Though, once he comes back, he'd feel bad if you worried about him.

He'd rarely lash out at you, but he has his moments.

He'd feel bad after, especially if you start crying.

When he [or someone else] makes you cry

He'd become stiff if he made you cry.

Would feel really bad and would do anything for your forgiveness.

Would treat you as if you were a rare diamond, close to breaking.

He'd be even more soft towards you.

Soft kisses on the cheeks, long hugs, gentle touches, etc.

He wouldn't automatically attack the person.

He'd probably give that person a death glare... (Aka, that's the only warning that person's getting.)

Mostly, he'd tell you to forget about them and that they aren't worth it, especially if it wasn't the first time this person/creature made you cry. And if they did care, they would have apologized already.

There would be times when he was close to fighting them; however, you or someone else would most likely stop it... (especially if his adventure to Treasure Planet hasn't started yet- you wouldn't want his probation to be extended, or worse... him ending up in Juvenile Hall.)

Though, don't get it twisted, this boy would fight for you. Especially if you got kidnapped or hurt. However, he'd most likely use his hands as his last resort.

He's smart enough to defeat people/creatures without having to touch them~

Small gestures all the way!

If you and he were to be doing a job together, he'd make sure he'd do most of it. (That way, you wouldn't be so tired.)

He'd remember every important date. (That's how you know he's serious about this.)

He'd remember the little details about you- like how you like your coffee in the mornings.

Or he'd buy some groceries for you if you forgot/got too busy/ was too stressed to realize. Just so you'd have a less stressful time.

Even if you'd never realize.

He likes to think of himself as your secret hero.

Apart from the day-to-day things he'd do to help you, he'd also be your personal handyman.

You wouldn't even need to ask.

If your sink was busted, he'd fix it.

If you mentioned you always wanted a solar surfer but never had the time to buy one- he'd make you one right out of the blue. He'd even teach you how to use it if you never rode one before.

His favorite thing to do is to simply hold you.

Whether that's a hug or handholding.

Just touching you in some way.

Loves kissing you, though he'd hold back if you two were in public...

He wouldn't want to get you or him into trouble... Especially if you guys attend Interstellar Academy.

Most importantly, he wouldn't force you to do anything you're uncomfortable with, even if that's with him.

Conclusion

He genuinely loves you and feels as if he doesn't show it enough.

Sometimes thinks you're too good for him.

Calling him the perfect boyfriend would be extending it to a degree... But he is one of the better ones because he is willing to change and grow in your relationship.

He might have been a little immature (if you two started dating at a young age), but he is grateful you stood by him in the end.

Honestly, he sometimes questions why you even bother with him...

✮ - daydreams, a lot. you can find him sitting and staring off into the horizon, without a care in the world. he'll softly hum a random tune as his mind explores. you're often the subject of his daydreams- and also the reason why he constantly gets asked 'what are you smiling about?'

this baby boy has some issues, just a fair warning

like, abandonment, self-esteem, trust issues

so it’ll take a hot minute before he really opens up to you romantically

he’d probably catch feelings for you pretty quickly and easily though

he’s just insistent on not wanting to possibly wreck the friendship you guys had

but eventually he’d confess and life would go on :))

for nicknames he’d probably just call you things like baby, sweetheart, darling, or princess/prince

if you’re a bossy type of person he’d probably jokingly call you ma’am or sir

he wouldn’t flirt with you before dating, but when you two are officially a thing he likes teasing you 

he was easily flustered by you or anything you might’ve said to him before the relationship, but now that he knows you like him he pulls out all the stops (he always has the smuggest expression on his face during times like these)

it’s like a fun little game to see who can break first between the two of you
