¯`°¤.¸.¤ ¯`°¤.-- ♕ II Mipha felt a sense of unease wash over her, her gaze lifting towards Ploymus Mountain. High above, the roar of a Lynel shook the foundation of Zora's domain.
The guards and soldiers who protected their home looked to the mountain as well, their acute hearing and attention to detail noting the sudden change in the environment around them. Some clutched their spears tight, expecting the Lynel to come charging down the mountain at any moment.
At least those who were insensitive; children and humble merchants selling their wares, seemed unbothered and didn't notice. Which was a good thing in the princesses' eyes. The last thing they needed was for wide spread panic to circulate throughout the domain when they could put a stop to it quickly.
"I fear for the worst. The Lynel have been acting unruly lately. Far more than usual, I'm afraid..." She spoke aloud to one of the guards at her side; Bazz. A young Zora soldier whom was still fresh in the ranks, his dark scales a noticeable contrast against his silver armor.
He nodded in agreement. "As long as it doesn't find its way down the mountain... We can keep control of its location and make sure it passes by without detecting the domain." He said, hoping to ease the princesses' worries.
She knew he was right. They couldn't risk everyone's safety when the Lynel wasn't close enough to wreck havoc. But she still wanted to make sure it didn't pose as a potential risk, especially if they could stop it early.
"Link!" One of the guards announced loud enough to bring Mipha's attention away from the mountain and towards the entrance of the glittering domain.
"Link is here!" Another joyous guard called out.
Turning to face him, she immediately caught sight of the familiar young knight making his way into the domain. Either to visit, or to pass on a message from the princess Zelda, she didn't know. But she was so glad to see him. If there was anyone could help with their little problem, it was Link. The one person she had all the faith of the world in.
"Oh, Link! Thank Hylia you're here!" Mipha called out, a cupped hand resting against the corner of her lips so her voiced echoed out, hoping to catch his attention quickly. "We could use your help!"

I just wrote a very long rant and deleted it again but!! if any of you EVER have even a tiny bit of imposter syndrome when it comes to academic writing I am very happy to inform you that you absolutely do not need any of that, because as I've witnessed countless times by now, even some professors (especially professors) do not know how to use citation software but will also refuse to put any bibliographic information into the WIP document, and instead rely on their asistant's psychic powers to figure out what needs to go into the bibliography of their texts.

-- @icerberus \\ un plotted starter. ( starter call )
In reality, the fortress && the upper world , are somewhat similar to a two different kind of nations, furina , the current hydro archon may be the ruler of whole fontaine, but when it comes to the underworld, her voice is not as iron clad as someone expected , whatever may happen below the seawater the hydro archon's rule is exempted && any secrets made there won't be known --- after all nothing slip past outside the iron walls that secludes any kind of rumors && secret, the duke had really made a nation for himself but that doesn't mean she doesn't have an intel or two.
After all , the melusines aren't the brightest kind of creature when it comes to human secrecy & privacy - whatever they hear or know they are glad to share the bits of information -- especially to the hydro archon of the said nation. A little persuasion && then - TA DA!! furina had all the information she needed. So it was no wonder why she found herself inside the iron walls of the said prison.
❝ Now , Now !! I know my appearance here is nothing but a surprise, but i couldn't help but be amused , with how you, my dearest people of fontaine -- reacts to see me here --- to be expected , of course -- it was me, they hydro archon ; after alll~ she had set her foot in this place. hmhh ~ haha.❞ She giggled quite proudly -- as she basked under the gaze of her people. Some was surprised, meanwhile others was unbothered && most are glaring daggers , understandable since some of the prisoners here was sent here with her watching their trial as entertainment.
--- ❝ But my people the meet && greet , have to wait -- i have a very special appointment, && perfect timing , Duke of the Fortress of Meropide , just the right man i've been looking for. ❞ Furina then turned to face the taller man , she skipped between her steps before stopping right in front of him.
❝ Why don't we share a cup of tea or two ? hmm?❞

@whirling-fangs Continued from [ 🌸 ]
The brunette couldn’t resist snickering at the boar child’s response. He was so insistent that nothing about him was lovely or attractive, when that couldn’t be further from the truth. Both she and Zenitsu were astonished when they first laid eyes on what hid beneath that intimidating headpiece. “ Sorry, it’s just — I don’t understand how it can stay so healthy looking in this line of work. I can’t keep mine neat for the life of me anymore. ” To say she was envious would be an understatement. That wasn’t counting when sword slices and clawed slashes decided to make her ends uneven. It was like she was taking scissors to her stark tresses every few weeks.
The unlucky Slayer sat beside her feral comrade. Yes, soap and water enhanced the beauty of each double-toned strand, but that didn’t explain the way they shimmered with a silken texture at all times, as though he had access to the finest treatment money could buy. Perhaps the healthiest lifestyle really was all natural. Magenta pools kept themselves fixed on the boy. A hand lifted before her thoughts could catch up.
“ Né, Inosuke, would you mind if I touched your hair? I wanna check something really quick. ”
Asking a guy friend if you can touch his hair? Yeah, that didn’t come off as forward at all . . . The young huntress was hoping that since the Butterfly Estate’s attendants kept him well groomed that her awkward little slip of the tongue wouldn’t cause him to question her motives, or make him wary. He might be wise to be suspicious given Nezuko’s secret propensity for pinning up or braiding any strands she could get her hands on.
