Random thoughts after HTTYD Race to the Edge S1
The 3d animation is gonna get a little getting used to
On ep2, Snotlout being like "I hate you", so matter of factly, made me snort
Snotlout and Fishlegs' arguments are really fun - everyone talks back at Snotlout, but when Fishlegs does it, it feels that much better
When Fishlegs is sassy in general its great actually - he is such a nice, sweet person, thqt when he does get sassy it's always fun
Im sad we dont get to hear Ruffnut more often i honestly like her voice
And Heather and Astrid really excluded Ruffnut back there with the whole "girl talk" huh
Also Heather likes Fishlegs that's a surprise i guess, but a good one
Also also, i uh, don't like Heather much, sorry
Dagur is an idiot and i appreciate him for it
Astrid is the only Rider with common sense, and even hers sometimes fails - they're all dumbasses
I haven't seen the DR dragon's ages yet so im making a headcanon here:
Hookfang and Meatlug are both plenty older than their riders - they just give me adult/older vibes than the rest of the dragons
Meanwhile, Stormfly and Barch are a little younger then their riders
Only Hiccup and Toothless are the same age (that's canon)
On ep 13, "He's crazy", "He's Snotlout", "True" - omg i love it
Astrid is so so done with Snotlout all the time and it has yet to get old
Hiccup is still a nerd, bless his heart
Ep 13 killed me - the Snotfang was precious and Snotlout did more than talk back and be difficult so i liked it a lot
I keep looking at Snotlout and noticing how short he is - like damn
I have yet to figure out who this Viggo guy ive heard so much about is and i am curious
My favorite character til now is Snotlout, he is a mood and fun to watch, even when he gets annoying (which is often) so yay
I'm curious to see Spitelout btw, ive heard awful things about him and i cant wait to judge the man by myself :>
Still, there's no one i feel like I've truly disliked, they all have their ups and downs - overall im having tons of fun ^^
Season 2, here i go!

How many roads must a man walk down, before you can call him a man?
It's not a matter of amounts, really. It's more like feeling so much like a man that anyone who sees you immediately thinks "this is a man."
After all, if there were no roads there would still be men, and they'd still be called such.
... or something like that, I dunno. I'm a programmer not a sociologist.

Genuinely, I don’t know how else to get the word out, but I feel like if your home-cooked dinners don’t taste right, you're missing either paprika, sugar, butter, or chicken bouillon.

[image id: a four-page comic. it is titled "immortality” after the poem by clare harner (more popularly known as “do not stand at my grave and weep”). the first page shows paleontologists digging up fossils at a dig. it reads, “do not stand at my grave and weep. i am not there. i do not sleep.” page two features several prehistoric creatures living in the wild. not featured but notable, each have modern descendants: horses, cetaceans, horsetail plants, and crocodilians. it reads, “i am a thousand winds that blow. i am the diamond glints on snow. i am the sunlight on ripened grain. i am the gentle autumn rain.” the third page shows archaeopteryx in the treetops and the skies, then a modern museum-goer reading the placard on a fossil display. it reads, “when you awaken in the morning’s hush, i am the swift uplifting rush, of quiet birds in circled flight. i am the soft stars that shine at night. do not stand at my grave and cry.” the fourth page shows a chicken in a field. it reads, “i am not there. i did not die” / end id]
a comic i made in about 15 hours for my school’s comic anthology. the theme was “evolution”
