Comet, from my suminagashi Boogie Men series
"The comet cometh." Or so says every newspaper in town. It is the golden age of astronomy, and every kook with a telescope is publishing a new discovery that will change the world. The public is in a frenzy, and astronomers are finally seen as legitimate researchers. The reporters are ignoring you, however. Your findings are too radical even for this craze. The things you've seen in the stars would shake the world. Faces of chaos reveal themselves in eclipses of cosmic light, and celestial beings haunt the lenses of those who dare to look for them. This is beyond science. The comet cometh.
