Sukuna scoffed to himself, the boy had finally allowed him to take control after all this time. Even in this deep underground it felt good to feel the air on his face and not through that brat. He continued forward. Thousands of year of stored power and he had been reduced to a fraction of it, despite the immense power he held he couldn't help but miss the time when he ruled over the landscape, unchallenged.

He had a partner even, the one human who he couldn't bring himself to kill, the one he realized he couldn't live without. You had married him, been granted immortality by his hand, and still he had lost you. His last memory before being split and exorcised, was you running to him, crying his name. He was happy that was his last memory.

Sukuna tore himself from his own thoughts, they so often drifted to you but right now he wanted to use the small amount of freedom he was granted.

He moved his hand foreword, fire erupting from his fist as he threw the heat forward, it crashed through a wall, tunneling through the train station. He heard peoples screams like music to his ears, he walked foreword through the rubble. People ran, screaming, away from him. Fire cast from all around him, bursting every human in his sight into flames, he hummed contently to himself.

"S-Sukuna?" A feeble voice trembled from beside him

AHHHH CONGRATS ON 5k!!! Ok ok, hear me out on this request because I think it might make a good little fic. I can’t decide between Hesh or Price for this one but I got a general idea: stoned Hesh or Price. Well maybe it’s something like he got hurt from a mission (hurt enough to require drugs/anesthesia for the plot) but is recovering back at base and imagine their wife is their medic and she’s trying to update his team on how he’s recovering and you just got a stoned Hesh or Price completely hopped up on drugs following his injury, just fawning over her and he just goes bananas when she “reveals” they’re married. The team got a kick out of it

You walked around the room, tidying up what you could if only for the simple fact that it could distract you from the unconscious body in the bed. Realistically as a medic, you knew he would be fine—he was in the best hands possible—but Hesh had a track record for being unpredictable.

He’d gotten into some trouble out in No Man’s Land again. Broken arm and ribs; a bullet through his thigh. He was so pumped full of medication and anesthetics from surgery that you doubted that he would be waking up soon.

But then again, Hesh was always surprising you. It was one of the reasons you’d married him, after all. Never a dull day.

Elias’s voice calls from the doorway.

“You’re going to fall over at this rate,” you blink quickly, turning with an extra blanket in hand to spread around your husband’s comatose state.

Your father-in-law has his arms crossed, and Logan slinks his way through the doorway with an arm looping your shoulders, a head pushed into your scalp silently. You sigh deeply, tension that you hadn’t realized was on your face lessening.

“Only if he keeps me from seeing those greens of his.”

Logan huffs a laugh, squeezing you as his father grunts—the stern man’s eyes softening in a way they only would for you and his boys.

“He’d be more worried about you than himself if you did. Put my mind at ease, okay?” Your eyes roll but you nod with a small smile. You don’t argue with his point in the slightest.

So, that was how you ended up here, in a seat by Hesh’s hospital bed—your hand in his and your head nodding back and forth with fatigue. Elias and Logan are casually playing a game of chess from across the room when David’s eyes flutter; his mouth releasing a low groan.

Your lids snap back, spine straightening, but before you can get a word out, your husband is pulling his hand from yours. His green eyes are loopy, pupils blown wide.

He mutters something under his breath, lips grimacing and face pulling in at the sight of you.

“Hesh?” The two men stand as you check his vitals, heart hammering until there’s nothing out of the ordinary and you can sit back down with a sigh and a relieved smile. “Take it easy, alright? You got out of surgery a little while ago—everyone’s here for you—”

“W…Where’s my wife?” His words slur, jaw loose as he rotates it; the unbroken arm with an IV chord stuck in it raises as jerky digits rub at his eyes. You’re left at a loss, blinking slowly in confusion before sharing looks with your in-laws. “No offense, Miss, you’re pretty and all, but…shit, why’s everything spinning?”

A hand covers your mouth, heated embarrassment lighting inside of your veins.

“Hesh, Sweetheart,” your arm reaches to the brunette, trying to grab his wrist that he weakly moves away.

“Stay away from me,” he grunts, head limply lulling on its pillow. “Thought I told you to keep it to yourself. My Wife’ll rip,” Hesh’s voice fizzles, a loud yawn peeling his bandaged face back, “you to pieces.” A pause. You hear Logan trying to hide his loud laughter behind his lips. “Did…the doctor send you?”

Your body turns to Elias, face beaming and expression exasperated.

“Now that he’s awake will you get the other three? It’ll be easier to give the news to all of you at once.”

“Already commed ‘em,” the man states, watching his eldest with a raised brow and a slow smirk. “Least we know he’s a loose cannon on anesthesia.”

Merrick, Keegan, and Ajax all file in, and as you continue to watch over a loopy Hesh, his small noises and babbling continue even when you give the breakdown of the patient sheet. You stand just shy of brushing the bed’s lower frame. You won’t lie and say it isn’t hilarious.

“He needs to keep out of the field for at least two and a half months, boys, and I’m not joking about that, alright?”

Your husband’s slow voice slashes through your speech, and the rest of the Ghosts snicker, sharing knowing looks as Hesh tries to lift the hand currently wrapped to his chest to keep it still. “You’re a real beautiful lady, Doll, y’know that? I’m sorry you like me so much, but I love my wife, you hear? Please don’t be angry with me.”

“Hesh, Darling,” you walk closer and bend down carefully. He blinked owlishly at you, finger coming up to poke at your cheek. Your hand grabs his as you hear Ajax make a quick remark to Keegan about the man being ‘totally whipped even when he’s high.’

“David, hey,” your voice prompts him to smile, perhaps now only realizing the familiarity of it. “I’m going to tell you something, hm?”

“Okay,” he watches, petting your neck with his thumb.

“I am your wife.” The man’s eyes widen comedically as everyone shares a long laugh with one another.

“No way,” Hesh breathes after a moment, awe-stricken. “Really?”

“Really.” There’s a moment of silence, and then the heart monitor begins to pick up its pace to a fast pound. Your face goes hot with love, and you bend your head forward in a long and honest laugh into his shoulder.

Green eyes shift to the men, and Hesh beams, cheeks red and heart racing as he slurs out, “This is my wife?!”

It was safe to say they were never going to let him forget about this.

The sun was shinning and the ocean was calm, thats how you started the day, optimist and peacefully... right now, you are running from the marines with a strange boy with a strawhat.

"Ahhhh, this is really fun, you should join my crew."

"What?! How can you be talking about that right now?! And beside i have my own crew."

His gum arm traps you and lifts you two in the air thru the buildings. You took that oportunity to start to shoot some of the marines, not deadly, of course. He got to the top of the bell tower of the village and finally put you down.

"I don't like being carried, less when it's like that."

"What did you mean when you said you had your crew?"

"I am a captain, i am (y/n), i have the same bounty as Boa Hancock, but because i don't look as pretty as her many people doesn't know me."

"Today i thought It would be a normal day, enjoying the new village my ship arrived to, buying new things, eating food... and instead i ended up involved on a fight with the marines thanks to your appetite and your lack of money," he let out a little laugh at your tale of the day, "at least tell me your name."

It looked like he didn't like that idea but he didn't say anything to complain. Some time later the marines abandoned the search of you two so you decided to go down.

"Well, i think i will go back to my crew, i think they will be searching for me, don't get in trouble without me, i hope we see again," and just like that Mugiwara runned away.

And then you thought, if you already had a chaotic morning then it would be worthy to have an equally chaotic afternoon.

"(y/n)!? what!?" he had a piece of meat on his mouth.

"I was just robbing a bank, sorry to pass thru your ship and couldn't stop to take dinner," you did a goodbye sign and jumped to your ship.

"I thought you agreeded to not get in trouble without me," he shouted.

"I never said that, but maybe the next time, i am more than glad to renegotiate our deal about the pirate title."

"Never! that would only happen if we get married and i am not going to marry someone who doesn't wait for me to do trouble," that comment made you blush, officially he is completely clueless about compliments.

"We will see that Mugiwara, until our next meeting," you tried to sound fierce but the previous remark keeps repeating on your head.

"Count on it!!!!" you two didn't say it but you two hoped that encounter happens sooner that later.

Hahahaha! Then the ahhhh, after he tells her that he will make it up to her. Letting you know he was likely just punished by Segasaki. Yes, my mind went here.

She showed up to check on him! Woot! Haha, she is about to find out who is boyfriend is. Hahaha. I'm dying. Meanwhile, his boyfriend is like, "guess it's time for a face off." Ya'll I'm not okay. I'm laughing so hard.

And Yoho stepped over a line and got put in his place. But he is too busy having a crisis to care! 🤣🤣🤣 Her face is my favorite.

That effortless lie. He wasn't feeling well. Uh huh. I love these two dumbass friends. I need sake too!!! I'm dying. Shit, I can't breathe through the laughter.

Now it's Yoh's turn to be jealous. Ahh, he got drunk and fell asleep on the floor. The places we find comfortable when we are drunk.

Nope, he doesn't want to go to the bed. I love the outer dialogue we are getting. I really enjoy that we get Yoh's side of things and from his perspective, but this rounds it out a bit for me.

And look at that beautiful smile when Segasaki finds out she's married. "Are you in your rebellious phase." Does this sound familiar to certain people whom I will not mention by name!?! Hmmm! Brats! Stop breaking my heart! Make him stop Segasaki, make him stop!

Fuck, I love these two so much. Everything he is describing is very much a Brat Tamer. Bossy but gentle. Controlling but caring. Charming and unreasonable. Brat Tamer.

The way his squishes Yoh's face! Ahhh, these two are gonna kill me!

"It would be nice if you stayed drunk forever." Because of the honesty. Segasaki likes Yoh's quirks, but he also wants the honesty and the connection.

I need the curry story now! But apparently, I must wait. Heavy sigh.

a few of y’all have asked me about new life begins, and i’m procrastinating over work so............

BASICALLY this story revolves around the royal family of xinchuan (head of the nine states). xinchuan has a tradition wherein the other eight states send eligible women over to marry the xinchuan princes. the show opens with all these women coming into xinchuan for this selection

this is our main character li wei

bbg does Not want to be selected as a bride for any of the princes. she comes from jichuan (one of the least wealthy states, most of them are farmers) wherein people marry for love and men aren’t allowed to have concubines, she is Not Into this xinchuan polygamy bs, and is doing all she can to be sent back home asap so she can live her chill life

this is the sixth prince yin zheng, unloved (for now!) and mostly unnoticed (also for now!!) son of an unfavoured concubine. he’s introduced as being sickly and of little note in the political field. he mostly gets along with his brothers by virtue of having little interaction with them and keeping a real low profile

this boy is way smarter than he presents to outsiders!! he knows that the least favourable political marriage will be assigned to him, so he figures he might as well get ahead of it and voluntarily ask for the nominee from jichuan to be his wife

li wei ends up yin zheng’s concubine!!! which is the worst!!! not only does she have to conform to this xinchuan polygamy bs, she’s not even his main wife!!! she’s depressed for a few days until she catches wind that yin zheng only has a few weeks left to live (fake news) and it just kickstarts a whole bunch of hilarious shenanigans in which she tries to be nice to him before he dies and she gets to go home to jichuan as a widow

cue yin zheng (who doesn’t know what li wei is thinking) going: she’s??? nice to me???? mayhaps..........she be.........in love with me??????

(uhhhh because she’s adorable???? i like her)

ANYWAY y’all get the drift, it’s the whole arranged marriage, strangers to lovers, pining after my spouse vibe that i absolutely love!!!

but it’s not just that!!! it’s also that the female characters are all well-written and the friendships between all of them are so cute!!

first left is shangguan jing, fifth prince’s wife! she’s from danchuan which is a matriarchal society. she’s good at martial arts and very straightforward. does not really want to be married to xinchuan (much less to the fifth prince who starts off liking someone else), but is Doing Her Duty. i am SO INVESTED in her relationship with the fifth prince ahhhh, he’s a wimp (affectionate) who, this far in the show, has come to love his wife and is fretting constantly over how to make her happy/make her love him

first right is hao jia! she’s the second prince’s concubine and li wei’s bff. she’s sweet and well-natured and essentially Good At Everything. the second prince is kind of a dick with obvious dv tendencies, but he’s the eldest son of the emperor’s wife and next in line for the throne. i am just HOPING we get to see hao jia go off on him one day soon 😭 (side note: i’m actually also curious about the second prince’s wife - i wonder if she and hao jia will team up to get rid of the second price ugh)

this is yuan ying junzhu, my li wei’s yin zheng’s wife. hoooo boy folks, when the emperor ordered yin zheng to marry her against his Very Strong Objection, i thought we were going to start in on the angst and the whole jealous wife arc, but!!! she’s got zero interest in him, and they decide that she’ll basically stay at the manor as his advisor/li wei’s tutor! she 100% likes li wei more than she likes yin zheng lbr

not pictured but also a+++ characters that i love: the third prince’s wife + his harem of concubines (he’s named them all after the 24 traditional solar terms); the seventh prince and his wife (both of whom are adorable and just try to stay low-key and out of trouble); song wu²; all the servants at the sixth prince’s manor

ANYWAY this show is light-hearted and fun and an absolute delight to watch!! it’s been awhile since we’ve had a romcom-ish cdrama that’s had actual budget to produce something to this quality 💖 11/10 would rec!!!

where to watch: iqiyi // viki // youtube status: this updates every sunday to wednesday (local chinese time), with 2 eps being released every day. 22/40 eps have aired so far, i think iqiyi subs are up to date with the current airing schedule but i can’t be sure? someone correct me if i’m wrong!

“Ahhhh, Y/N!”

You woke up with a start, immediately sitting up and glancing around the room. You spotted your husband running back to your bed from the window, a look of terror in his face. Before you could ask what was wrong, he leapt under the covers and burrowed himself under his pillow, the linens trembling. Beyond being confused, you glanced around the room again, seeing a green face in the window staring back at you. You jumped and then realized just who you were looking at. You silently cursed yourself for leaving your sword in the other room. She gave you a toothy smirk before flying off, her cackles being heard through the thin-paned glass.

You shook your head and sighed, turning to glance at the shaking lump next to you. “It’s alright, honey. She’s gone.”

An eye peeked out from under the blankets. “W-What?”

You pulled the blanket back over his head, smiling. “She’s gone,” you repeated. “You can come out now.”

Alex lifted up, warily glancing around, his hair sticking up adorably. “She?”

You smiled and sat back against the headboard, reaching over to run your fingers through his hair. “The witch.”

Alex turned around and sat next to you, placing his shoulder next to yours. “You say that like it’s normal.”

You shrugged. “She flies around here sometimes and she likes to curse animals, people.”

Alex glanced over at you in alarm.

Your grin grew. “You don’t need to worry about her, silly. She usually leaves us alone.” Your smile started to fade when you thought back to what The Wizard had asked you to do a couple of months back. “Then again, I did take The Wizard’s Magic Ink after bribing the Goblin to get into her hut when she wasn’t there.” You bit your lip in thought before you turned a reassuring smile onto your husband. “But that was months ago.”

“Again, you say all of that like it’s normal.” He shook his head before studying you intently. “Are you sure she’s not upset with you because of this ink you took or whatever?”

You shrugged. “Not one hundred percent sure but pretty close.” You weren’t too worried about it. For the most part, The Witch left you alone. A few of your chickens couldn’t say the same but that was a small price to pay considering.

Alex slowly nodded, mulling it over and glancing back at the window. He then suddenly sat up a little straighter and wrapped his arm around you, pulling you into him. “Yeah, well, if she comes back for you, babe, she better think twice. Or she’ll have me to deal with.”

You bit the inside of your cheek to keep from teasing him that he had been hidden under the blankets not that long ago when you and The Witch were engaged in a staring contest. Instead, you smiled, touched at the words and the gesture your husband was trying to make. “Thanks, honey,” you murmured. “But we’ll be okay.”

He pressed a kiss to your forehead. “We will.”

He held you for a little bit longer, rubbing your arm, before you both settled back down under the covers. You were content to lie there with your head on his chest and him rubbing your back. You were completely relaxed, ready to think about falling back asleep when you heard “Sleep. I”ll keep you safe.”

You dug your teeth into your bottom lip to keep from chuckling and instead, you smiled and hugged him tighter. “Love you, honey,” you whispered.

“Love you, too, babe.” You heard an adorable yawn follow and his ministrations on your back began to slow. It wasn’t too long before you heard a tell-tale snoring under your ear.

You gently disentangled yourself from his arms, got out of bed, and tiptoed into the main room. You grabbed your sword and hurried back into the bedroom, the chill of the night air infecting the floor and nipping at your bare feet. You set the sword down carefully within your reach and then got back into bed, noting the cat had joined you, all curled up at yours and Alex’s feet, staring wide-eyed at the window, almost as if on sentry. You nearly laughed at the sight, knowing that while you were intent on making sure your husband felt safe enough to get a good night’s sleep on your farm, your pet was also practically guarding you both.

You shook your head, chuckling under your breath, before you gingerly settled yourself back into your husband’s arms. His snoring cut off for a moment and he tightened his arms around you, pulling you in closer, before it resumed…right in your ear. You smiled and pressed a kiss to his covered chest, laying your head back down to sleep. It wasn’t long before you were drifting off, The Witch’s cackle echoing somewhere far off as you did. You simply wrote it off as you starting to dream.

And if there was another Void Chicken on your farm the next morning and your husband turned wide eyes on you as he saw it while attempting to give you a hand with feeding the animals, you decided that it was simply what The Witch had done before Alex caught sight of her the night before. And when Alex moved a little closer to you, sticking to you like glue for the next hour, half-protective, half-scared, you figured a visit to The Wizard might be in order a little later that day. If he couldn’t help you, then you’d be making the journey to The Witch’s hut again, intent on settling the matter once and for all.

You didn’t mind The Witch but if your husband didn’t feel safe (and your animals certainly weren’t), then you were intent on doing whatever it took to restore that feeling for him. Especially since, you were pretty sure that you had some important news to tell him in the next day or so, once you had seen Harvey at the clinic to confirm your suspicions.

You surprised him with a hug and smiled, leaning up for a kiss. He smirked and gave you one before you both glanced out over the farm you had built that now belonged to both of you. You watched as the sun continued to warm the sky and paint the horizon in all kinds of colors. You’d seen plenty of sunrises on your own but sharing ones like these with Alex were beyond special. You were grateful that you’d chosen to make the move to Pelican Town and that you found him. You two were building a life together and no disgruntled witch was going to ruin that, not if you had anything to say about it.

“I love you, Alex,” you murmured to him, still staring at the sky. You felt him kiss the side of your head. “I love you, babe.” You smiled and laid your head on his shoulder, feeling him gently lay his head on top of yours. Your grandpa had been right; this was just how life should be.

this was the day he always imagined, so to know that it's finally happening makes him lose his mind ong

he knows he has to be pretty separate from you for the day because both of you will be busy getting prepped for your own sides, so he lays kisses all over you before the wedding, his last kisses as your boyfriend

he is so nervous getting into his tux, like literally shaking

all the other crusaders - which he ofc invited, avdol being the best man - tell him that everything is going to be fine and calm him down with a fun morning

when the actual ceremony does arrive and he's waiting at the alter, omfg he is shaking so hard

this is the moment he has been waiting for since forever and he cannot believe it is happening

out of nervous habit, he is messing with his sleeves and the other crusaders are silently hyping him up before you step out

when you do, he is in tears

seeing you in that gorgeous dress literally makes him bawl his eyes out and you can't help but smile

when you get to the alter, he grabs your hands and just looks at you, almost accidently giving you a kiss lol

he tells you how pretty you are and you tell him how handsome he is

you two are crying when you say your vows and finally, that long awaited kiss comes, which was perfect

the lil party afterwards is so much fun because you're goofing off with the boys you spent an adventure with and wouldn't give up for the world and some friends you made outside of them

you and polnareff share a cute little dance together before it turns into fun and pure chaos

he ends up taking you outside where the moon is glistening on a nearby lake and he holds you, telling you how lucky he is and you two share a beautiful kiss in the night

it was the perfect wedding <3

Chris and y/n have always been inseparable, they’ve always relied on each other but what happens when one of them falls?

Pt.1 Pt.2 Pt.3 Pt.4

(one year later)

“Hey, Chris.” I call out from the living room. I hear him shuffling in the kitchen before he walks into the room with two bowls of popcorn and a wide grin on his face. “Yeah, baby?” I’ll never get used to that name, I used to think people who used pet names were absolute weirdos, that was until I started dating Chris…Now I’m that weirdo. “Is it my turn to choose the movie tonight?” I tilt my head as I move over on the couch to make room for him. “Yeah, it is. You took away my privilege to choose after I made you watch the exorcist, remember?”

He has a cocky smirk on his face as he plops down on the couch, he makes a little grunt as he does and instantly shoots me a look. “Don't start.” I bite back a grin and turn to face the TV. “What? I didn't say anything…” “You don't have to. I can tell from that look alone.” I try so hard, I really do. It's like second nature to call him a grandpa. I’ve been praying that this is the year he’ll let me dress him up as a grandpa for Halloween. “So, what’re we watching?” He asks, shovelling a pile of popcorn into his mouth in the process. Now…any sane person would say that's disgusting, but I’ve learnt throughout the years that im far from sane. “Oh, I was just thinking of watching an absolute classic.” I say as I click on the movie, the poster flashes on the screen and the title pops up, 13 going on 30. “Oh my god.” he groans and I giggle in response. “Maybe next time don't put on the exorcist.”

It's now gotten to my favourite part of the movie, the wedding scene. Ever since I was a little girl I would watch this part over and over again to feel something. It was a heartbreaking moment for 10-year-old me, the way Matt kept her dreamhouse after all those years apart always brought a tear to my eye.

I can feel my emotions slowly building up when I hear sniffling above me. My eyebrows furrow with confusion as I lift my head from Chris’ chest and im met with the sight of a teary-eyed Chris. “Oh my god…are you crying?” I can’t help but feel a sense of protectiveness over him in this moment, seeing him like this over a movie is so sweet…pure almost. “Shut up.” He grumbles like a little boy as he sniffles again, bringing a hand up to wipe the tears out of his eyes. I smile softly, I reach out and pull him close to my chest. “It’s okay, baby. Don't be embarrassed.” I whisper into his ear and I feel him slowly relax into my touch.

“ It’s just so sweet that he’s always loved her, from the very start. But they had one fight and it ruined everything for them. It makes me wonder…what would've happened if we ended up like that. I don't wanna marry some chick named Wendy when I know that you love me, you know?” He looks up at me with watery eyes and my heart breaks. “I don't want you to marry some chick named Wendy either. He chuckles.

I watch as his expression changes, a more loving look is plastered on his face, He brings a hand up to gently cup my cheek. The tenderness of his touch sends a swarm of butterflies throughout my stomach “I love you so much Y/n, never forget that.” Before I could even reply he leans forward and presses his lips against mine. The way he treats me in situations like this always makes me weak in the knees, he handles me like im some delicate flower in the palm of his hand. As he pulls away, I take in a deep breath and reply.

“I love you too, Chris…I’ve loved you from the start.”
