Alina sketches + Persona (Ingrid)

I forgot my sketchbook at home so I had to use random papers I found in my notebooks during class.

Idk why I started enjoying just drawing and drawing like I used to, because normally I'd just be concentrated on something else and then draw; when I was a kid, I just drew without even knowing what. And now I started to do it again, and I'm so confused but actually also happy!

Also before anybody thinks this is Alina slander or something; NUH UH. I love Alina, perhaps that's why I enjoy drawing her as much.

The bottom drawing is related to my persona's lore, which is pretty complicated, but in short; Ingrid is talking about living amplifiers, since she is one as well, and often called the amplifiers (such as the stag, etc) 'friends'.

11x17 is a periodical made from a folded sheet of 11x17 inch paper, with a different theme or focus for each issue. It is edited, designed and published by Public Collectors. Public Collectors was founded by Marc Fischer in 2007 and is based in Chicago, Illinois.  Building on QUARANZINE—the single sheet publication that Public Collectors produced at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, 11x17 also uses a single sheet format but this time it's the larger tabloid format.                   Look who just woke up- is that JESSIE MEI LI? No, I must have been mistaken, that’s ALINA STARKOV from SHADOW AND BONE. I heard they are 20 and stuck here just like everyone else. Even in the 20’s, she still gives off a CREATING BALLS OF LIGHT IN THEIR HANDS HANDS, BEING THE ONE TO TAKE DOWN THE FOLD, DRAWING MAPS TO AVOID FIGHTING, TRYING TO NAVIAGATE A WHOLE NEW WORLD impression. In Sydney they work as a OWNS A CRAFT STORE. They’re known to be quite COMPASSIONATE & DILIGRANT, but have a tendency to be ELUSIVE & TOO TRUSTING on their bad days.

personality description: alina is a strong willed and supportive, shes very easy to get along with and can usually be found with a book or sketchbook in their hands. shes also very open and is always up to talk to new people.

what was their fake life like: alina was raised by her single mother minerva mcgonagall, alina was very happy as a kid and loved to spend time with their mother. minerva really fostered her love of art and always encouraged alina to do what makes them happy.

Or, well, when she was bored. Or stuck somewhere she could not escape, like, a boring lecture Mal then needed to distract ehrself from until it would be over again.

"And geez, there is really a lot to learn, huh?" She took the gouache and shook her head. "Like, don't get me wrong here, I really wanna take this all serious. Just, I come from a place where all I could do was spraying pictures and tags onto walls. That's a huge difference to brushes and canvas and.... well, obviously also different sorts of paper you can actually paint on."
