MAJOR POTENTIAL SPOILERS/LEAKS REGARDING S5 (WARNING)

Last Spring/Summer, a semi popular fandom account on Twitter got sent some leaks about S5, focused on the first half of the season. At this time, many fandom accounts were receiving supposed leaks, so our attention was a bit scattered and we didn’t focus on any of them too much. A popular leak account on Twitter (unrelated to ST) also mentioned that they had gotten the first half of S5 leaked, and that this source is “never wrong”. Now, it is hard to tell if these leaks are the same as the ones that the specific fandom account I’m talking about received, but something to keep in mind. Her leaks were given to her by a person named James (which I assume is a fake name). These leaks were also posted on Reddit, last year, by her (the person in the fandom that got the leaks from James) but some major things were omitted in that post. I’m gonna leave a link here in case you guys want to read the discussion.

I’m sharing these leaks with you because some things from them are kinda lining up with what we’re seeing from S5 production. Keep in mind that these could be fake/wrong, and James himself said he didn’t have info on the last couple of scripts.

According to James, Mike dies in Ep. 3. I’m adding more screenshots later for more context, but the gist of these leaks is that Mike bites it, mlvn never breakup nor do they get a resolution, and Byler is left up to interpretation but never really happens. (I don’t really need to get into how shitty this all is writing wise)

Let’s go over the things these leaks might have potentially gotten right, according to what we know so far.

1. James said that the time jump would occur in ep. 1, after an establishing scene where S4 left off. He said the time jump would place us in late 1987/early 1988. He also mentioned there would be a series of flashbacks showcasing stuff from before the time jump. The dates he gave do seem to be accurate, and David Harbour had a shaved head right before they went into filming, which could imply pre time jump scenes.

2. According to him, after Mike dies, they find a letter he had been writing. Some of us were theorizing Finn had a letter in his back pocket in those rooftop pics. Could’ve also been Finn’s script and he just stuck it there (who knows).

3. He said that Joyce gets badly injured in ep.3, and since there’s speculation Winona was seen filming at the hospital, some people think that means she was taken there because of her injury. It’s important to notice that Natalia, Cara, and Finn were also supposedly seen filming at the hospital, and that the production called for many extras for nurses and paramedics. So whatever they’re filming at the hospital, it might be bigger than Joyce getting injured in her leg. Let’s remember Max is at the hospital too. I’m not 100% sold on this part of the leaks.

4. Today it was revealed that they’re setting up to film at Stone Mountain. (This is where they filmed UD scenes for S4)

Apparently production might have purple tentacles out already. (UD vines?)

Cara Buono mentioned, in that video shared by Ross Duffer, that she was filming stuff from Ep.2. This was around 2 days ago.

The people that know about the leaks think this is where Mike dies in ep. 3. Here’s some further context:

Which is just….meh, because like I said, it doesn’t look like him and El ever breakup before his supposed death. Plus Byler never gets any resolution.

Now some things that might disprove the leaks (I’m trying to be impartial here)

1. These leaks mentioned Argyle a couple of times, saying he has a hero moment at some point. Eduardo made it sound like he’s not coming back to the show, but tbh he could just be lying. He’s listed for ep.2 on IMDb (and yes I know anyone with an account can edit that site)

2. These leaks say that Mike is very insufferable for the 3 episodes he’s alive, basically lashing out at everyone, specially El, and just overall behaving like an asshole. I really didn’t get that from the ElMike rooftop scene, in fact he seemed very gentle with her. People that know about these leaks think that the rooftop scene is Mike maybe apologizing to El and them having a heart to heart, right before he dies (no comment).

All in all, if Mike is dying this early, I’m sure we’ll know soon enough. The rest of the cast is gonna be filming for like a year, and Finn will be done in like two weeks 💀

I also hope there’s more leaks soon (on Reddit) so that we might compare them to these and see wtf is up.

I know someone is gonna inevitably ask why leaks would be out almost a whole year before they started filming when we usually get them during filming or post production, but I’ve been told these leaks happened around the time the writer’s strike began, which is when they were originally gonna start filming. I was also told other shows had issues with leaks around that same time.

I don’t want to get too much into the truly awful writing we’re facing if these are real but…First, I believe it’s a total disservice to Mike’s character. One of your mains since S1 and you don’t even offer him the option of dying towards the end of the season? Even fucking Eddie got that. Two, it seems like a very easy cop out for not having to make Byler canon. Let’s just have neither ship be endgame and that way we don’t get queerbaiting allegations. It also stands in a zone too close to torture porn for my liking, because sure let’s kill the character two of the most traumatized characters in the history of TV love most. And yes, it’s also a disservice to El and Will’s characters. And lastly, if that supposed letter vaguely alludes Mike having some sort of sexuality problems (we don’t know atp) it is pretty fucked up they just killed him off like that. Sure let’s not explore any of that, but give a half assed explanation via letter ex machina. This is looking like Supernatural finale levels of bad to me.

Another point, I distinctly remember the Duffers saying, after S4, that they could never kill off a character like Mike because it would be too painful, and that ST would cease to be ST and lose its identity. They didn’t want to be like GOT. I sincerely hope they actually meant this and were not trying to be cheeky or whatever the fuck.

It would be genuinely insane, and quite frankly, a highlight of their lack of writing abilities.

I hope the leaks are wrong, but I felt like it was necessary to warn everyone just in case. I know I’m not watching something this awful.

Its well known now that Book 7 will heavily imply familial messages and from what we seen with Shroud Family so far, is that they were very communicative and supportive of each other in the loving way possible.

You've mentioned that the quote "There will come a tempest, and darkness, and great storms and the dead will leave their graves and walk the earth once more and there will be great lamentations. Every day, it’s getting closer" from Gabriel/God is a mash up of different bible quotes about the second coming. Do you know which ones? I'd love to see an in depth analysis of this, it seems super important, but I haven't seen a lot of talk in the fandom. Who does the tempest refer to? My apologies if you've already talked about this in your metas.

There's stuff scattered all over the place, so I'll try and find the ones I can remember:

And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. (Revelation 16:18)

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first (Thessalonians 1:4)

You can see they all share a very similar vibe of "ALL WILL BE BAD AND EVERYONE WILL BE IN DISTRESS"

There's also a lot of stuff in/around the death of Jesus with similar terminology and metaphors with saints crawling out their graves and things like that. But especially the Revelation quote - that's the book mentioned in season one of the show. Aziraphale owns a signed copy of the scroll of St. John of Patmos (aka the saint who wrote the book of Relevation, which is the Go-To text for the end of the world stuff).

Generally, I think the whole little speech is foreshadowing the Second Coming (aka the plot of season 3), because a lot of those quotes are direct references in the Bible to the death and return of Jesus.

However, I'm also pretty much sure this is God speaking directly through Gabriel, because if you listen, there's a second voice - a female voice - overlaying his. Gabriel was always her messenger and I have this whole other theory about God's absence from this season and the significance of Gabriel saying his memory is "everywhere". I think he's catching fragments of God's memories and spouting them, ie. the prophecies and things she has said to prophets. He quoted what she said to Job first and now this? Not a coincidence.

“El! Sto-o-op!! St-op i-it righ- n-n-n-now!” The high pitched giggles rang through the room. The curtains were still drawn, making the room dark; but inside it was light. Laughter permeated the room and made his whole world light up. He had no clue how he lived in darkness for so long when she seemed to bring in light.

“Oh no, lil mama. Not till you say it!” He continued to tickle her relentlessly. His wife was squirming on the bed, not able to get any traction on the silk sheets. Her nightie was already pushed above her waist so that his hands could tickle her sides. She continued to laugh and playfully protest before she couldn’t take it any more.

His hair was also wild and messy and his eyes held a sparkle that hadn’t been there in a long time. She leaned down and gave him a kiss before pulling away.

“Ready for the day, Mr. Presley?” She asked, stroking her husbands hair. His hands massaged her hips at the same time.

“As long as you are, Mrs. Presley.” Then, the two got out of the disheveled bed, and started their day.

Elvis Aaron Presley was no stranger to heartache and struggle. He spent his childhood poor, and once he could provide for his family, he was shipped off to Germany. His mother died shortly after boot camp, and he was still sent away from the people that needed him most for two whole years. Once he was back, he was thrust into work, barely taking the time to get married to Priscilla and have his beloved Lisa Marie. Then the touring, the infidelity, the drugs; all on came tumbling down on him. He got divorced from Priscilla and developed a sort of co-parenting style for Lisa Marie. Once he was clean and had stayed clean off the prescription pills that is. It seemed that his life had some small highs and low lows nowadays. The was, of course, till he met her.

She was just an employee of the International in Vegas while he was there. She had worked there when he started preforming, often being the one to bring his room service to the door. He tried to charm her; get her into bed just for one night. She was stunning, and wasn’t going to budge. Elvis had never met a more stubborn woman. It was refreshing honestly. Having her treat him like a regular man, instead of Elvis Presley humbled him a lot. Soon, after he kept coming back and preforming, they began a friendship of sorts. He dropped his bravado act around her and felt like he was nineteen all over again. She would stay with him when she brought his meals. He’d often order something for her to eat while she was there because he knew the hotel was running her ragged. When he was officially divorced from Priscilla, he made his move. She, thankfully, didn’t turn down his invitation of a date night. The rest was history.

Dates, gifts, love, attention. She had it all. Of course she had to get over Elvis’ stage presence and his nightly ritual. But other than that, he stayed good and true. She helped him get off the drugs completely; he only allowed himself to indulge in drinking and cigars now. Which it was why, when he proposed, he had no reservations about it. She made him a better person, made him stand up for his career again and do what he wanted to do, regardless of what Parker thought. They had a small wedding, something just for them, friends, and family. Lisa Marie was the flower girl, and even Priscilla was at the wedding. He’ll never forget that first dinner at Graceland; his ex-wife, future wife, and daughter. All in one room.

The smells from the kitchen wafted through the house and soothed Elvis. It was a southern style spread; if he was to make it through this dinner, he was going to need all the comfort he could get. The one thing she insisted on making for tonight was her favorite apple crisp.

“Baby,” Elvis came up behind his girlfriend and wrapped himself around her from behind, “you don’ have ta do any o’ this, ya know that right? Cilla and Lisa Marie will be happy to finally meet ya.” But still she refused to budge.

“Elvis, this is your daughter and her mother. I gotta at least make a good impression. I mean they’re your family, baby.” She finally set the dessert down and Elvis took the opportunity to spin her around in his arms. The man gently placed his hand on her jaw and tilted her face up to his. His lips caught hers in a sweet embrace, and she cursed the fact that they had to breathe oxygen in order to live.

“Trust me, okay? Lisa’s just gonna be happy to have another girl around, and Priscilla is gonna like that you make me happy. Now, march upstairs and get changed young lady. I already set out your clothes.” She knew he wanted them to be matching for the dinner. But the fact that he would spend so much time just picking outfits, complete with shoes and accessories just for her, and just cause he wanted too; it made her heart swell.

She began her trek up the stairs of the house, but not before a loud smack rang through the air. When she turned to her husband, his eyes seemed a little preoccupied and not at all sorry.

“Don’t make promises ya can’t keep baby.” She teased; walking even slower, and swinging her hips even more. She heard Elvis growl lightly behind her and he raced up the stairs after her. She squeaked and ran to their room; her partner hot on her trail.

When they finally welcomed Priscilla and Lisa Marie into Graceland that night, her nerves were on fire. Elvis was himself; joking, laughing, and smiling. Priscilla seemed weary of her at first, but she soon warmed up to the new woman on Elvis’ arm. After dinner, they made their way to the couch and enjoyed some time together. Lisa Marie was tucked into her daddy’s side, while his girlfriend was tucked into his other side. Priscilla watched all of this with curious eyes. Eventually, Elvis had to excuse himself, which left his girls together in the same room.

“He’s happy with you.” Priscilla said, making the other girl stop. She set her drink down and looked at Elvis’ ex-wife.

“Thank you. I try to.” She brushed off what the other woman had said, but she wasn’t having any off that.

“I mean it. I haven’t seen him this… present… in a long time.” Priscilla noticed the look of confusion on the other woman’s face. She chuckled and explained.

“When I was married to Elvis, it seemed like he was present just before or after a show. Never in between. It caused such a major rift in our relationship that I wasn’t able to take it. But seeing him here, with you. Well, I’m happy to see him doing so much better.” The young woman couldn’t help but sputter at her words.

“Please, don’t think I’m tryin to take your place here, Priscilla. That ain’t what I’m-”

“Stop sweetie,” Priscilla raised her hand to silence the woman, “I know that’s not your intention. Elvis and I have had talks about us before you came along dear. He’s yours now. I know that we have a place in his heart, mostly for Lisa’s sake. But that man loves you. Take it from someone who was married to him for Christ’s sake.” Both women broke out into laughter at her words.

“Now what did I miss out on? Somethin’ funny?” Elvis’ voice rang out as he came back into the room. He sat back in his spot on the couch, Lisa tucked back into his side. He wrapped an arm around his laughing girlfriend and looked between the two women like they were crazy.

“What?” He chuckled out. The women had finished laughing by now, and were calming down.

“Nothin’ baby. Don’ worry your pretty little head.” She said, pressing a gentle kiss to her man’s cheek. Elvis looked down at Lisa Marie who was starting to drift in and out of consciousness. He leaned down slightly to whisper in his daughter’s hair.

“You know what they talkin’ ‘bout, baby girl?” His “whisper” was loud enough that the other two women could hear and start to laugh at. Lisa Marie simply snuggled back into her father’s chest which caused him to chuckle. Priscilla watched the scene with a loving gaze. It was clear to her that this woman made Elvis happy; happier than he had been in a very long time. Even if it couldn’t be her, she was glad someone was looking after Elvis.

That memory was fond in the minds of the Presley’s. As Elvis pulled on his clothes for the day, he watched his wife sit down at her vanity and put on her makeup for the day. She diligently applied the foundation, and swipe on her eyeliner for the day. He finished getting dressed, and moved to the bathroom to fix up his hair. But nothing he did could get the pitch black hairs to stay in place. He wasn’t too concerned with having his hair styled up like when he was younger; just wanted it to look presentable. His wife made her way into the bathroom, dressed in a pastel shirt and pants combo. As she went to do her own hair for the day, she noticed her husband having a rather difficult time.

“Need some help, honey?” She asked, already moving to grab the product he put in his hair. Elvis sighed, dejectedly, and sat down on top of the toilet so she could have better access to his head. She had yet to put on any of her rings, so the product glided from her hands to his hair effortlessly. His hands came and rested on the small of her back, and let his eyes slip shut. Her hands continued to dance all around his head and he was in love with it.

“Careful baby. You start drifting further, ya gonna start purrin’ like one of them barn cats we got out back.” She chuckled out. Elvis opened his eyes again to see his wife wipe her hands on the towel. His gaze shifted over to the mirror and was pleased to see that his hair finally looked how he wanted it to.

“Now how is it, that I can fight all day and night long with my hair and it don’t lay down. But you spend five minutes runnin’ ya hands through and it behaves for you? That’s some bullshit, lil mama.” He was joking of course, but the way he said it could’ve fooled anyone. Elvis placed a hand on her waist and carefully placed a kiss to her cheek before moving to put on his accessories. He didn’t want to mess up the hair she spent so long doing. He opened the curtains to let in just a little bit of light and turned around to see his wife putting her jewelry on. All of it; her engagement ring, wedding band, necklaces. The last to go on was a wax seal styled gold necklace that had Elvis’ initials in it, but she couldn’t get the clasp right. He came up behind her and gently took the necklace from her hands while she silently moved her hair.

“There you go, mama,” he wrapped his arms around her and looked int the mirror at them, “God damn we are one hot couple. Dontcha think Satnin?” He asked, gazing deep into her eyes through the reflective glass. She placed her arms on top of his and leaned back into his embrace.

“We sure are, daddy. Come on. We gotta get ready for Lisa Marie.” Reluctantly they unwound themselves from each other. Before they could depart entirely, she reached up and kissed Elvis. It had quickly become her favorite thing in the world to do. When she pulled away, she wiped her thumb across his lips.

“Sorry baby. Got some lipstick on ya.” Once she finished wiping, he pressed a kiss to her thumb and they were off. They went downstairs and made sure that the house was all ready to go, then hopped in the Cadillac to go to the airport. Elvis had placed a call before they left the house to make sure that the jet was all ready to go before they got there. It was their week with Lisa and they intended to make the most of it. The ride to the airport was uneventful, besides Elvis making the mandatory stop by the fans in front of Graceland for autographs and photos. Finally, on the jet and able to relax, Elvis let his wife snuggle up to his side. She rested there comfortably, reading a book while he looked out the window. He watched Memphis pass them by and the clouds as they flew across the country. His knee bounced up and down, and it didn’t go unnoticed by his wife.

“You alright there, baby?” Her hand came to rest on his shaking knee, and Elvis looked down at her. He smiled but it didn’t reach his eyes. He placed his hand on top of hers and gave it a squeeze.

“I’m okay, Satnin. Ain’t gotta worry ‘bout me.” Elvis tried to convince her, but she wasn’t buying it.

“Elvis, I’m your wife. I know you better than you know yourself,” she leaned up to look him directly in the eye, “come on. What’s going on with ya baby? You ain’t usually like this.” Her hands drifted into his hair, which provided the man some comfort. He took in a deep breath, and moved his wife to his lap.

“Do you- do you think that I’m doin’ a good job?” He asked timidly. She gazed at him curiously.

“Of course, baby. You always do a good job. You take care of others, your fans love ya. You take care of your own-” Elvis cut her off gently.

“No, no. That ain’t what I mean. Do you- do you think- I’m a good father?” He couldn’t look in her eyes when he asked the vulnerable question. But her heart broke to see how depressed the question made her husband.

“Oh daddy. Now what brought this on? You know you are. Lisa loves you, baby. Why are you doubtin’ yourself?” She questioned carefully. It wasn’t often that Elvis let his insecurities get the better of him. He didn’t put up a confident front, but rather he chose not to focus on the insecurity. Elvis didn’t have the time to focus on his insecurities, or let himself feel bad. He had too many people relying on him to focus on that kind of thing. But recently, with his time off that he took off in preparation for his daughter coming to town.

“W-w-w-well, I-I-I’m just sayin’ doll. I can’t help but feel like I should be doin’ more. I’m not doin’ enough for Lisa or even Priscilla who raises her as well. I wanna be a good father, like my daddy, but I’m just… I don’ know mama.” Elvis’ head came to rest on his wife’s shoulder and he nuzzled into her neck. He didn’t want to face her while he bared his soul open. But her hands ran through his hair, messing it up but neither one of them cared too much. Elvis needed comfort, and his wife wanted to provide that.

“Elvis, baby. You are such a good daddy to Lisa. And you’re a good man to Priscilla. You have so much love in your heart baby. And you’re navigatin’ a difficult situation. But you workin’ with Priscilla to help raise Lisa Marie for the betterment of the girl. She loves her daddy, and she knows that her daddy loves her. Don’t you ever question that.” Her hands moved from Elvis’ hair to his face. She gently moved his face so that he was looking directly into her eyes. The sadness in his eyes broke her heart. Ever so delicately, she leaned in and pressed gentle kisses all over his face, missing his lips.

Elvis shut his eyes and let his wife’s gentle caresses smooth him. The amount of love he could feel pour out of her nearly brought him to tears. He relaxed into her awaiting arms and let himself finally decompress and get everything out before getting his daughter. He never wanted to bring his daughter into his lifestyle, and he certainly didn’t want to bring his work home to her. She felt his muscles fully relax underneath him. It made her feel good to be able to let her husband be this exposed to her. His soul and heart was raw and unfiltered. It was for her to experience in its unchained entirety, and her alone.

“How do you always know how to make me feel better, Satnin?” Elvis questioned, leaning further into her hands, still not opening his eyes. He felt her smile rather than saw it.

“Just know how to take care of my baby. Now, what do you say to takin’ a nap? We’ve still got a couple hours before we touch down.” Elvis nodded his head and let his wife pull him towards the bed the was located in the in the jet. He fell onto the bed and pulled his wife into his chest, allowing himself to rest and enjoy the comforting presence of his wife.

In just a couple of hours, the Presleys had touched down in LA where a blacked out car was waiting for them. They rode in the back, only bringing the necessary security needed. There was no need to have excessive security for this trip. The weather in Los Angeles was lovely and the sun was bright overhead. Priscilla’s house was coming near, and Elvis started getting antsy. His knee was bouncing again, to which his wife placed a hand on it to try and still her husband. He placed his hand on top of hers and brought it to his lips to kiss. The driver pulled around to the front of the house, and the Presleys barely had time to get out of the car before the front door of the house had opened. Elvis helped his wife out of the house and felt his daughter barrel into his legs. He laughed and turned around in his daughter’s arms before he picked her up.

“Lisa Marie! Hi baby!” Elvis exclaimed, hugging her close to him. He placed kisses on her head and face as she giggled. His wife came up beside Elvis, and Lisa reached out for her. Elvis transferred his daughter to his wife, and watched them interact with fond eyes. The man looked over towards the front door, only to see another set of eyes watching the scene fondly. Priscilla waited by the front door with her daughters favorite toy that came with her everywhere. Elvis walked up to his former wife and she welcomed him with open arms.

“Hey Cilla.” He gently said, wrapping his arms around her.

“Hey Elvis.” She responded, giving him a squeeze before letting him go. She looked back to her daughter and Elvis’ wife. The two were interacting so warmly, and it made her heart swell. Elvis turned his eyes to the scene as well and felt so much love for his wife and daughter.

“They’re good together.” Priscilla leaned against the door; Elvis was right next to her, and agreed.

“Yeah. She seems to be good in the life.” His wife and daughter were now both sitting on the ground, while Lisa Marie showed her the new doll she had received. His wife was thoroughly invested in the story of the doll and all the adventures she had already gone on.

“Lisa asked me if she was going to be her new mommy, ya know?” While Priscilla mentioned this casually, never taking her eyes off the two girls in front of her; Elvis turned so fast to her that he was afraid of whiplash. She turned to the man and smiled at his shocked face.

“Ain’t no one gonna replace you, Cilla. You are Lisa Marie’s mother. Now, I love my wife; but she ain’t tryin’ to replace ya.” He tried to speak as fast as he could but Priscilla only laughed.

“Elvis, calm down. I know that I’m not being replaced. I just wanted to let you know. Lisa loves her; and I’m glad that you have someone in your life that’s taking care of you.” The look on her face was sincere. Elvis was shocked at how much she was genuinely happy for him. There was no trace of jealousy, or malice, in Priscilla’s face or voice. He smiled at her, and felt his heart get a little lighter.

“Thank you Cilla. That really means a lot to me, and I know that she appreciates it.” Elvis said quietly; his daughter and wife coming near. Lisa’s smile was big as she held her step-mother’s hand, and his wife’s smile matched her.

“Priscilla! How are you, dear?” She came up and the women embraced. They both had a smile on their faces as they gently talked. Lisa came up and held her father’s hand. He looked down at his beloved baby girl and crouched down to talk to her.

“You ready to go to Graceland, baby girl?” The young girl nodded excitedly at her father. He stood back up and collected his wife while Lisa said one last goodbye to her mother. Elvis collected his girls, and sent a wave back to Priscilla. He helped his girls into the car and felt the car moving underneath him. On the car ride back to the airport, Lisa started talking to Elvis and her step mother about her stay with her mother and everything that happened. She sat in between the two adults and talked as fast as her little heart could go. His wife sat there, intently listening to her stories.

Elvis watched his girls, and he couldn’t believe his luck. He had a career where he could take care of his loved ones, the ability to do what he loved for his fans, a daughter and a loving wife. Things had not worked out with Priscilla; while they would likely never get back together, he was thankful that they could work everything out for the sake of Lisa Marie. It wasn’t how he thought that life was going to work out for him, but he was okay with it as long as it didn’t change.

I know this is kind of out of nowhere but for the longest time I was super weird and mentally dismissive of your burning out of Star Wars because I was someone who survived the OEU's insanity back in the day and managed not to burn out of Star Wars in the face of ridiculous nonsense like the Yuuzhan Vong and Killiks, so if I could survive that, you were of course entitled to dislike Star Wars but I still found it silly. Anyway I just finished watching Tales of the Jedi(Resolve) and I Get It Now.

...I recognise that may not be the most hinged thing to say to someone I don't actually know, and apologise for my mild to moderate insanity; I slept three hours, am very sick, it's shark week, and my brain seized on you as someone who'd Get It and who I had been hard on in my thoughts in the past, but, like, none of that actually affected you until I randomly said it? So anyway sorry for babbling at you like that lmfao, I'll stop talking now

Okay. I've been thinking about these since I saw them; I saw the first one before the second one arrived, which was a hell of a thing to wake up to since I saw it first thing in the morning. While my usual policy is to leave messages along these lines in my inbox, I was genuinely upset and wanted to respond once I had a more coherent reaction than "why me, gods, why does this always happen to me."

So, first of all, I'm sorry that you had an installment in canon that didn't do it for you; it happens to the best of us and there are very few people in fandom who uncritically (or even critically) enjoy everything in canon, especially in a fandom as big and long-running as Star Wars.

It's also very common for people to fall out of love with a fandom, even a fandom they've been in for a very long time; I would say that fen who have consistently been in one fandom for an extended period of time are probably rarer than those who haven't. It's not always because there is one installment that is just The Worst; often that's just a tipping point for fen who have been on the edge for a while. (Ask your average former MCU fan who left after Avengers Endgame.) Other times fen just drift away from a fandom without a reason to push them out. Maybe their favorite characters have died, maybe the canon is no longer telling stories they're interested in even if none of those stories are "bad," maybe it's a closed canon and without new stories there's nothing to keep them there; there's any number of factors.

I had a very dramatic breakup with Star Wars three years ago, and it was about three years after I really should have gotten out of the fandom, because I had not been having a good time for a while at that point. And honestly, considering that I hadn't had a healthy relationship with either Star Wars or the fandom for a while before that, for various reasons that go well beyond what was happening in canon, arguably I should have gotten out even earlier. However, I'm monofannish to a fault and I really needed something that would actually kick me to a new fandom -- which meant it couldn't come from Star Wars.

I don't really dislike Star Wars as a whole. There are individual installments that I quite dislike, there are some that I still love, and the vast majority of Star Wars I'm neutral on. I do however have a very fucked up relationship with Star Wars, including the canon, the PTB, and the fandom itself. I have gotten regular abuse on Wake and Gambit for the past ten years, which really screwed up my relationship with AO3 and with the prequel era. There is canon that I really, really dislike, some of it because it personally does nothing for me (the ST), some of it because from my point of view, it completely fucked over a story I love (Rebels S4, TCW S7, some other stuff that contradicts stuff from the EU I love; I came out of the EU too), some of it because I just plain don't like it (THR, most of the comics), and some of it because watching it just plain made me feel like I was being gaslit, which is not something I say lightly (Mando is the worst offender, but there are others). A lot of these are problems that could come out of any fandom, especially a large, long-running, multi-media fandom; I know a lot of Marvel people who have very similar problems, though I think the scale tends to be slightly different there just because the canon is set up differently.

When I switched fandoms, I had to recalibrate my entire relationship to fandom, to canon, to AO3, and to how I interacted with all of them. I still have to check myself in most of those places because my relationship with Star Wars had screwed me up so much. I had to train myself into being able to post on AO3 again; I do talk regularly about how a lot of what I write is shaped by trying to avoid getting the kind of reactions I got and still get from my Star Wars fic, even years later. I have to make conscious decisions not to engage with every part of the canon without feeling like a failed fan, especially the installments I'm pretty sure I'll dislike, because I tried to do that in Star Wars and it regularly messed me up. As a cosplayer, I still have a fairly bad reaction to even seeing the word "approvable," and it took a while for me not to have a similar reaction to "screen-accurate." I'm still destashing most of my Star Wars merch and right now, my reaction to seeing new Marvel merch isn't "ooh, would I wear/use this?" it's "when I inevitably have a horrendous breakup with this fandom will I be able to resell it?" which is not a really healthy relationship to have with a fandom. (I have mostly moved off this but not entirely.) I knew that Star Wars had screwed my relationship with Disney World, when I had a panic attack on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind because I was so terrified that it was going to be ~necessary canon, even though Marvel has never operated that way; Star Wars does with Galaxy's Edge, which I don't really like being in anymore either.

And yes, I'm aware all of these are an extreme overreaction to getting out of a fandom. I'm not happy about it either and I wish it wasn't happening. It's better now than it was a couple years ago and I'm frankly glad I'm not in the fandom anymore; I'm happy for people who are or who have gotten back into it and are having a good time. I am not one of them; I may some day be one again, but probably not anytime soon.

But even if I didn't have this specific fucked up relationship with Star Wars, a fandom I have not been in for three years at this point, sometimes people just burn out on a fandom. I'm not a CSI:NY fan anymore, either. (Which my last big fandom prior to Narnia, which I just drifted away from. I've only been in five big writing fandoms over twenty years.)

Exactly. I’m a firm believer that headcanons are fine until you forget they’re just that, headcanons, and force them on other people as if they are canon. This fan theory makes Eddie out to be a pretty gross person, but it was heavily pushed because people really wanted him to be gay for Steve, even if that meant he’d be sending signals about his sexuality and ahem domineering nature at a school with children. And in the same breath it was said how hellcheer is an inappropriate ship because Eddie is two years older than Chrissy. Make it make sense. It’s stuff like this, and the general vileness on *that* side of the fandom that makes me blacklist anything and everything to do with st*ddie. Canonically, whatever Eddie’s sexuality is, ladies are on the roster. His writers wrote and his actor acted that Eddie had a crush on Chrissy (this has been quoted to be true by the writers and the actor).

I don’t know why this is so shocking for people or why it’s hard for them to swallow. Eddie liking girls doesn’t have any negative effects on his character and it’s pretty misogynistic to think so. Have your headcanons for the character, enjoy your ship’s popularity, expand your fanon, and move on.

Leave other people alone and let them enjoy what actually is canon, as well as their own fanons and ships.

What's boring you about the fandom? Sorry to hear you're struggling with that at the moment.

Just wanted to say though, it is normal to go through stages of fixation and ambivalence, especially if it feels like you might have plumbed the most exciting depths of your preferred niche. (I have felt like that so many times in other fandoms lol...) Maybe it's worth exploring other parts of the fandom, you might find something that ignites your passion again. Alternatively, if you need a break or feel the need to branch out, do it. The fandom will still be here when you feel like engaging again.

(Also, if you feel like it sometime, please tell us more about your minis and joytoy figs. Are they named? Do they have backstories?)

I'm not bored. I'm just having a severe "old man yells at cloud"-moment, like I do semi-regularly. 😉

When I came to the Tumblr-branch of Warhammer-fandom it felt so very exciting - artists and writers regularly got 80 to over 100 notes in a few days on their texts and pics (not just memes and/or shitposts, mind you! The real stuff!) - and not just likes, a lot of reblogs, comments and so much discussion! So many HC were developed here for everybody to see and to participate.

But this all changed. No fire nation, though.

I'm getting a bit tired of saying it over and over myself, but in my opinion it still is true: Discord is slowly killing fandom-permanence. Discord isn't good for conserving things. Ideas vanish. Pics get consumed like fast food and digested just as fast, leaving no nutritional value for viewer or artist. Thoughts get lost, because they wander down the chat-drain and vanish into nothing. HCs get no engagement, fade and die.

The slow, ugly decay of Twitter didn't help. A lot of new people not getting how Tumblr is supposed to be played and take the easy way out to Discord, too.

A Tumblr-blog is a very intimate showcase of a person's journey as a fan. It's like a geological slice of their interests and thoughts. I love that. I want to keep that. I want to get to know other fans. And not the shallow, fleeting way of Discord.

Yeah, as I said - old man yells at totally uncaring cloud. I can't stop time. I have to adapt or remain behind.

And the other thing is my "ceterum censeo" of being bitter about people just paying attention to Primarch-content and don't care about the guys from second row who are in my opinion so much more interesting and colourful. And if they get the spotlight it's just some meme-shit or being waifu'd to hell and back.

I love being silly about characters I like. I love making up shitty sidestories, silly AUs and other absolutely hilarious OOC-stuff. But if that's all that remains from a character, that's just sad.

I need way more Credible Hulks who love quoting the books as much as I do, around me!

But anyways, I'll come around.

That I had quite a few not so very good books this year didn't help either. I need both the Eidolon- and the Xantine-book to be good, next year! And St. Martin better NOT writing any shit about Lucius attacking Fenris (I mean, WTF, St. Martin! That short story was the worst you ever wrote, man!).

Basic pattern here.

Canonically, I know Azu isn’t actually that much bigger than a human - her height is given as 6’6” in the finale before she activates her armor and doubles in height - but she’s got a big personality, so I wanted her to be bigger. Hence why I used a much thicker yarn for her. That being said, I actually went down a couple hook sizes from what the label said to use (it claims I should be using a 10mm/US 15 hook, but I did the foundation chain with a 9mm hook and then started crocheting with an 8mm, and it worked a lot better). Other ways Azu alters from the base pattern are as follows:

Shoes: The most fashionable of pink boots! Like most of the other blorbos, I made Azu’s shoes all one color, but in my defense, this yarn was only available in one shade of pink. To give her boots, I worked the pattern as normal up until row 11, then: R12: Ch 2, hdc in back loops of each sc around, sl st in first hdc (15 hdc). R13: Ch 1, dc in front loops of R11 around, sl st in first dc (15 dc). R14: Ch 1, hdc in each hdc from R12 around, sl st in first hdc (15 hdc).

Trousers: I didn’t really do anything special with Azu’s pants/leggings/whatever the heck she wears between her boots and her agile half-plate, but I did stop a row earlier than in the basic pattern because reasons, so the body starts at R29 instead of R28. Basically, take away R29 and the pattern is the same as the base from R15-34.

Armor: I wanted to give Azu a little bit of a waist, and also put a kind of decoration at the bottom of the armor (not exactly a skirt or kilt, but something like that), but also kind of emphasize that she had broad shoulders. I probably made this a bit more complicated than I needed to, but: R35: Ch 1, sc in front loops of each sc around, sl st in first sc. Without doing a chain st for height, sc in back loops of each sc in R34 around, sl st in first sc in back row (38 sc). R36: Ch 2, hdc in back loop of front sc and front loop of back sc around, sl st in first hdc (38hdc). R37-40: Continue as in base pattern. R41: Ch 1, inv dec five times, sc in next 8 st, inv dec 6 times, sc in next 8 st, sl st in first st (27 sc). R42: Ch 1, [sc in first 2 st, 2sc in next st] 9 times around, sl st in first sc (36 sc). R43-50: Ch 1, sc in each st around, sl st in first sc (36 sc). R51: Switch to skin color. Ch 1, [sc in first 2 st, inv dec] 9 times around, sl st in first sc (27 sc). Continue remainder of pattern as in base pattern. After completing her body (actually after completing literally everything else), I added on the decoration by joining the armor contrast color (Wool-Ease Thick & Quick - Rouge) to the loops standing out from R35, and then: R1: Ch 3, dc in front loop of each st around, sl st in first dc (38 dc). R2: Ch 1, [sc in next st, ch 3, skip next st, tc in next st, ch 3, skip next st, sc in next st] around, sl st into first sc.

Head: I embroidered Azu’s eyes with some of the regular yarn, partly because I didn’t have safety eyes big enough and partly because I forgot to put them on before I finished. For her mouth, I crocheted the single fang (she broke the other one in the battle with the Lads and Blokes) by ch 3, turn, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next st, ch 1, turn, inv dec, and then sewed it in place and embroidered the rest of the mouth. The ears were made as follows: R1: Leaving long tail, ch 7, turn, sc in second ch from hook, sc in each ch, turn (6 sc). R2: Ch 1, sc2tog, sc in next 2 st, sc2tog, turn (4 sc). R3: Ch 1, sc, sc2tog, sc, turn (3 sc). R4: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn (3 sc). R5: Ch 1, sc2tog, insert hook into same sc, sc2tog, turn (2 sc). R6: Ch 1, sc2tog, turn (1 sc). R7: Ch 1, sc, bind off (1 sc). Stitch ears to either side of head using long tail. (I ended up getting them uneven, but I think it works for her.)

Arms: Pro tip for any yarncrafters starting or plotting a project: If the yarn you’re buying is on clearance, buy all of the yarn that is available. I realized when I got to her arms that I only had a little bit of the pink yarn left over, not enough for full sleeves, and I thought I had another ball but I didn’t…and Loops & Threads Cozy Wool was discontinued before I ever started Azu, let alone before I finished her. Thank God for yarnconverter.com, which helpfully provided me with the knowledge that Wool-Ease Thick & Quick had the exact same gauge. I used the Cozy Wool for Azu’s gauntlets. Pattern worked as normal up through R7, and then: R8: Ch 1, sc in first 9 st. Join armor yarn, fpdc around next 6 st in R6, join with sl st (9 sc, 6 fpdc). R9: Ch 1 using skin yarn, (sc in next 2 st, inv dec) 3 times, switch to armor yarn, (sc in next 2 st, inv dec) 2 times, join with sl st (12 sc). R10: Ch 1, sc in back loops of first 6 st, sc in next 6 st, join with sl st (12sc). R11-13: Continue as normal. R14: Switch to skin yarn. Ch 1, sc in front loops of each st around, join with sl st (12 sc). R15-18: Continue as normal. R19: Switch to armor contrast color. Ch 1, sc in back loop of each st around, join with sl st (12 sc). R20-25: Continue as normal.

Cloak: The official art on the shirts has Azu with a cloak, so I made her one. (Admittedly, I also did it because I saw the yarn at Michael’s, thought it was pretty, and wanted an excuse to make it.) I really didn’t do anything particularly exciting with it, just made more or less a square with a fairly basic wave stitch pattern. When I decided it was long enough, I finished off with a row of sc and stitched three of them on either side directly to her shoulders so the cloak is part of her half-plate. I also edged the entire thing in a slip stitch, less for aesthetic reasons and more because I hadn’t realized how close I was to being done with it when I got to church and needed something to keep my hands occupied during the sermon. I do think it looks nice, though, and I’m going to have to start doing it more often…

have you ever read something that perfectly explains what you’re thinking? well that’s what i felt when i read this post. it put in perspective what it’s like to be a bxg and what bjyxszd really means. if there is anyone who should understand them, it should be us. we can’t be too critical or demand outrageous things.

let’s be more tolerant because the world is not very kind to them either. let’s just leave everything to time and their company.

I think the recent WB night made alot of us think and re-evaluate how & why we are in this fandom. The post was a good reminder of how to approach things in a realistic way. I have said it in previous posts, but they don’t owe us anything. Their relationship is special and they are doing their best to protect it. We must do our part in that too. Whatever they allow us to see is already a lot and it’s for our eyes only. I know not everyone is into “szd” and that’s perfectly fine. However we’re in that territory already. They are not a manufactured CP. The reason others can do what they do, is because there is nothing there. These two have to be more careful with each other more than anyone else. Plus you can’t really expect them to project too much in public. These two are lowkey, and they do show-off in their own ways sometimes.

They don’t need to prove anything. There is no sense in comparing. When we say that the road ahead is long — we mean it. The best thing we can do is accompany them and be loyal. If they look at bxg spaces, it is so nice if they see supportive messages. if they see people are happy — not a bunch of turtles complaining about so and so. Over at the BJYX ST, we grew 10k+ after WB night even if they didn’t interact. lol.

When the time comes, we will be here for them. In the meantime, we are their cheerleaders and the small group of people that believe in them even if the world doesn’t. 💛

This verse also sums up the whole attitude we should be bringing. You don’t have to be religious to see the truth in this. The fact that it’s also Corinthians 1:13 is a nice touch of coincidence.

sorry if you’ve answered this before but how come you run a monarchy blog if you’re anti monarchy? i’m genuinely curious, i’ve never seen that before

I have answered it before but Tumblr's search function isn't great and it's probably time for an update. It's not as unusual as you think. There are a ton of people from Republics in this fandom who would never want to live in a monarchy themselves (come visit the fandom on 4th July lol). They're politically anti-monarchy, but they like the individuals. So I'm really not in any way unusual. But basically it was an evolving journey:

I became interested in monarchies at age 4 or 5. So clearly pre any kind of political thinking. I was mostly interested in historical monarchies - I've been obsessed with Anne Boleyn most of my life, I have a tattoo dedicated to her!

I started blogging about royals about 12 years ago so I was around 18 or 19. I wasn't massively politically active so I didn't have a strong opinion on the monarchy. I was at St Andrews at the time of William and Kate's engagement so I became quite interested in that but nothing serious. Then I was on my non-royal Tumblr (don't use it anymore) and I stumbled across an account who was saying really nasty things about Kate. This particular account was one of the few British people in the fandom at the time - it was mostly young Americans - and so they had an air of authority about them and they would say "this is what most Brits think" but it was bollocks. And then I would research other things they'd said about things like finances and realise that they were wrong about those too. There were one or two people who questioned her narrative but they weren't British and so after a couple of years of this I just had had enough and decided to create an account. I wasn't really a monarchist or an anti-monarchist. I liked William and Kate but I dislike people talking rubbish more! I had really just stumbled into this world and realised there was a place for someone who was going to provide evidence, who was going to challenge, and who could offer a different perspective on life in a monarchy. And monarchy as a system was something that had interested me since I was little so it seemed natural.

After a little bit of time I became more politically active and at that point I became anti-monarchist. It was a gradual shift so there was no moment where my mind changed but I didn't feel the need to leave anyway. Partly because it was fun. I liked blogging and I knew a lot about royals by this point, I didn't want to start from scratch in a more crowded fandom. I realised I can separate the institution from the people. I can like Kate but not think monarchy is a perfect system of governance. There are so many things that we find fascinating but don't necessarily endorse. I mean, I listen to a fuck load of serial killer podcasts but I don't think Ted Bundy was a great guy! I just find it interesting. If you've ever heard our podcast you'll know I am obsessed with corruption scandals. They're not good but I find power fascinating as a concept. But also this is just my nature. If I'm going to take a stance about a political matter I want to know as much about that as possible, I want to have considered the opposing argument and what their objections might be so I can counter them. And I found it frustrating when I saw friends of mine who generally shared my political views say stupid, incorrect things about the monarchy. Like this came later but a friend of mine once complained that they spent money on Meghan's wedding dress instead of the cladding on Grenfell which is rubbish.

I'm now in my 30s, I am at a very different place from when I started. Anti-monarchist is probably too simplistic but I've had the same bio and photo for like 5 years so I'm not changing it lol. My political view now is more pragmatic than anything else. But I've also done so much more research into the constitutional side of things than I had 5 years ago. My view now is if I could click my fingers and change our system of governance to a functioning, elected head of state without any issues of course I would. Just taking a step back it makes no sense to have a monarchy and for our head of state to be a symbol of such glaring inequality. But we can't just click our fingers. Ending the monarchy won't actually solve any problems in society but it could cause new ones. There are positives to having a monarchy, it does work to protect democracy even though it shouldn't, and so I would have to be presented with a system that keeps those positive aspects if I was to vote to end the monarchy. On a theoretical level I don't support it, it makes no sense, but on a practical level I think there are more important things, it won't be the quick fix people say it will be, and I would need guarantees about what a Republic would look like first as Brexit has shown us that we can only trust the Tories to deliver the worst possible outcomes if we leave it to them (which is what would happen).

As much as I dislike that we will probably get a delayed season (in most likely 2025 lets be real), I also would not want a rushed sort of production or writing for the show's last season. Also the strike is important.... and i think it does extent the writers but also that other production staff is involved too. Idk, i definitely get some ppl's frustration but also that it is a needed strike.

I mean (and this isn't directed at you, but generally)...I get the frustration as a consumer, but as a young professional and often creative worker, I say let them go as long as they need to for the protections they deserve. I don't mind waiting two more years for my favorite show if it means writers and showrunners get the professional respect they need to not struggle to live—especially given how they've dedicated themselves to a job that so many people enjoy constantly, despite not valuing it as much as they should.

sidenote: I know a lot of people outside of this anon will probably read this, so I've included links to things explaining/detailing the points I've made here, just in case you're new to writer's strikes or how the ST production staff fits in.

That said: given that this strike means that writers and showrunners won't be on set for shows still filming, in the editing room or the sound stage, I'm fairly certain the production on Stranger Things will come to a clear halt beyond a few scenes they might want to get done that don't require much oversight from The Duffers—especially given that Matt and Ross are both WGA members on top of being writers and showrunners, and therefore are literally bound not to do work while the strike is on (x)

We also know for a fact that M&R do writing while on set and filming (see: the scene they added with Jonathan in the SBP being written as filming was happening)—

—which they aren't allowed to do anymore either...leaving Stranger Things especially in a clear "this has to halt" place, given that the masterminds/primary storytellers behind ST are obligated not to do their job right now.

While it does give a bit of comfort to know that ST is so deeply tied to The Duffers themselves as storytellers as much as showrunners, networks have historically tried to have everyone from novelists to novices outside the WGA write scripts during writer's strikes—hence the clear drops in quality in shows throughout the 2007 strike (iykyk), and why there is still some concern on my end should this strike go on long enough for Netflix to get antsy and start trying to get back to production on one of their most popular shows.

The UK Writers Guild has announced their solidarity with American writers in the hopes that they won't take on US projects to accommodate networks as the WGA strikes, but. If this goes on for a long time, I don't think it's impossible that several shows people love won't be cancelled or extremely delayed, or that Netflix won't get testy with ST. If networks start doing what they did the last time though, we might get some really shitty TV (and really bad seasons) for a solid year before we recover from the damage of the strike...even outside of anything that goes on with Hawkins lmao.

That said, Stranger Things is in the (blessed) position to have already had 9 months of writing + being ready for filming as soon as the strike is over, so. For most of us here, it's just going to be a waiting game....which. I mean. Like I said before, I'll take another three year turnaround if it means the quality of the show stays high, and The Duffers (and their wider writers room) get to "stick their landing" the way they've talked about before.

This got long sorry lmao. But still—given what's probably going to happen to a lot of shows during this strike, I'd day we're rather lucky as a fandom, so long as we're open to being patient.

Hate to break it to you, but Feysand has always been a retcon and SJM is a liar who says she’s always had them planned to sound cooler and to cover up the fact that she’s always said 1) she never plans her books and 2) she had to add Rhys in earlier and that she’d originally planned for him to be the villain.

Detailing the actual story of how ACOTAR came to be from her own former newsletter, she wrote two and half ACOTAR books in 2009 (then originally only a trilogy). In 2014, SJM scrapped and rewrote the entirety of that original second and half of a third book and completely started over with them, creating what is now ACOMAF and ACOWAR. She did not change anything in ACOTAR, though, but she did add things in during editing. She’s also said Nesta and Lucien were originally supposed to be mates and that she didn’t even plan for Nessian until she wrote the scene where the IC goes to ask Feyre’s family for help.

If Nesta and Lucien were originally endgame, that would infer that Feyre in the original second book actually spent a majority of her time in the Spring Court because how else would Nesta meet Lucien? He doesn’t live in the NC. He doesn’t live the AC. And if a majority of the plot is taking place in Spring and the story is from Feyre’s pov, it would also imply Feyre was still with Tamlin. 🤷🏼‍♀️ And a quick reminder that the entire series was originally a Beauty and the Beast/Tamlin retelling, not just the first book.

You can love Feysand, no one is telling you not to, but if you’re going to try to debunk what others are saying, then at least find out why they’re saying it in the first place so you can provide a proper counter argument. There’s overwhelming evidence within the first book that anything after it was never planned.

In fact, you could take Rhys out of the first book and the Calanmai scene would still work if Lucien had been the one to find her. The dresser would still work if Feyre and Elain’s drawers were swapped. Amarantha’s whore could be anybody, and the scene where Rhys forces Tamlin and Lucien to beg for Feyre could’ve happened with that anybody, not just Rhys. Maybe you should think about why the first book of a book series, where he’s supposedly been the plan all along, could still play out without him. 😬

If you think she's the only author to rewrite a story or add characters in an earlier or later position, I'm going to guess you don't have much of a concept of the natural writing process.

Again, the natural writing process. Rewriting a hundred times over if it's necessary to get the book published. Editing for the sake of a fluid storyline.

4. Your points on Nesta, Lucien, and Cassian have nothing to do with a Feysand of Feylin endgame. There could have been a dozen different ways SJM planned on Lucien and Nesta meeting outside of Spring that we will never know. The fact is that in the end, SJM decided "Lucien and Nesta would be at each other's throats. And not in a good way". Or something along those lines. In walked Nessian.

I am aware I have the freedom of expression in the fandom. I would also like to clarify I was entirely polite in "debunking" the counterargument to defend Tamlin. Did you feel particularly attacked when I told a new fandom member to try the second book and see if it was to their liking when they saw Rhysand's story?

Or was it my assessment of Tamlin's lack of anger management and every marker of an abuser he shows from the second he comes to take Feyre across the wall.

TL;DR

No matter how many rewrites ACOTAR went through, there was no character retcon on Tamlin or Rhys. Book one was an adaptation of Beauty and the Beast and Book two was an adaptation of Hades and Persephone, even if very few elements were taken from the actual tales.

I am unable to do really unhappy or tragic endings...even if I sometimes like to read them... Does not mean there is not a lot of angst in my fics. But they always end on a hopeful or happy note. The most angsty is probably Incinerate, my Melkor/Varda romance. But I am writing a sequel that will have a happy ending for them so not sure it counts.

The Fuel to the fire series leaves Artanis and Mairon at a happy point at their relationship after part three of the series... there will be more to come though (and more drama 😂). All my finished Gingerrose fics have HEA’s as well.

Yes once. I wrote a Gingerrose DubCon story (well tagged) that got me my first and only hate comment.

YES! 😂 very varied. Sometimes more poetic, sometimes more kinky... I do have some T rated fics as well though. I am a sucker for tension, so expect a lot of build up.

SOOOO hard. But ...probably Zutara and Dramione because those ships brought me to fanfiction.

Honestly every I obsessed about every ETL ship known to mankind at some point. I love crack pairings as well though.

All of my Gingerrose WIPs I fear. I just kind of fell out of love with the ship.

Descriptions. I am told very often my stories feel very epic and cinematic in scope.

I also love doing different POVs and giving each a distinct voice and feel.

That said Incinerate snuck its way into my heart... I hated Melkor before writing from his POV and now I can’t get enough from the dynamic with Varda and Manwë. This is also the one fic that gives me ideas for a original story I might write one day...
