STAR! DOES! FACTS!
you miss me? because i did too!!
todays facts will be…
ANCIENT EGYPTIAN MYTHOLOGY!!
yippee!!
now, let’s get into the facts, shall we?
1. Who were the 9 main gods of Egypt? The nine Ennead gods of Egypt are Atum, Shu, Tefnut, Geb, Nut, Osiris, Isis, Seth, and Nephthys. They are the family of Atum the god of the sun, and are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the sun god, Ra
2. Since Anubis is the god of death, does that make him evil? Actually it doesn’t! The Egyptian people viewed him as a good, protective deity. Anubis was portrayed with the color black, symbolizing regeneration and the Nile river's fertile soil
3. How many total gods were worshipped? There were well over 2,000 gods and goddesses worshipped in Ancient Egyptian mythology!
4. Most gods had the body of a human and the head of an animal! For example, Lady Bastet with her cat head and Sekhmet with her lioness head.
5. Who is the most well known God? That title goes to Amun-Ra, the sun god and also the god of creation. Amun-Ra is also the protector of the pharaoh, who is often depicted as an embodiment of Amun-Ra
6. Are there any lesser known gods? Yes! One of the more lesser known ones are Geb, who is the personification of the earth, god of healing colds, fevers, and scorpion stings. It is said that his laughter supposedly caused earthquakes.
that is all folks for…

Almaqah or Almuqh was the Moon god of the ancient Yemeni kingdom of Saba'. He was also worshipped in Dʿmt and Aksum in Ethiopia and Eritrea.
Almaqah is considered a moon god, but Garbini and Pirenne have shown that the bull's head and the vine motif associated with him may have solar and dionysiac attributes. He was therefore a priest of Ra, the male counterpart of the sun goddess Shamash / Ishtar / Isis, who was also venerated in Saba, but as a tutelary goddess of the royal Egyptian dynasty
The ruling dynasty of Saba' regarded themselves as his seed.Almaqah is represented on monuments by a cluster of lightning bolts surrounding a curved, sickle-like weapon. Bulls were sacred to him.
Ethiopia is dedicated to the lunar God Almaqah, and contains an altar which represents a miniature model of the Great Temple in Yeha.

O' King of the Gods,
Amun-Re,
your darkness surrounds me,
the waters of dissolution drowning me,
I struggle to breath.
Then, I see the light of the sun,
Your light,
shining through the darkness,
and I struggle forward,
stepping from the shadows to sunshine,
and I raise my arms in thanks.
Dua Amun-Re!

Sunday's Afternoon Theurgical Invocation for Amun-Re
The point of this invocation is for daily devotion. I honor a deity every day of the week, and for Amun-Re, I worship Him on Sundays. This is an afternoon/evening ritual I perform before, and or after I do my silent meditation in honor of Him.
The goal is to become endowed with the Ka of Amun-Re or His "vital essence."
You can start by equipping the tools needed for an invocation. For me this looks like:
Ear plugs
Lighting Incense and Resins
Lighting tea candles
Employing a Gown and Shroud
Reciting Hermetic maxims as I undress and get into ritual clothing.
Once you're geared up, you may start the invocation by saying:
It is I [enter name or magical pseudonym]! May [name in 3rd person] rise in peace! May Amun hear my speech and arise in peace!
Then you may begin the invocation as follows:
You are Amun, Lord who is Silent.
You are Amun-Re, Lord of Thebes.
Who rescues him who is in the netherworld;
for you are He who is merciful, when one appeals to you!
You are He who comes from afar!
AAAIIIŌŌŌ DUA AMUN-RE AAAĒĒĒIIIŌŌŌ
[ΑΑΑΙΙΙΩΩΩ / ΑΑΑΗΗΗΩΩΩ]
O Lord whose form is unknown to the gods! Hear my hymns of praise!
The one who abides!
The one who is permanent!
You are He who created His self.
O Hidden One, may we be blessed to know just one of your many forms!
Dua Amun-Re!
ΑΑΑΙΙΙΩΩΩ DUA AMUN-RE ΑΑΑΗΗΗΩΩΩ
Invocation made by me; inspired by http://www.sofiatopia.org/maat/amun.htm & https://academia.edu/resource/work/240044
Barbarous words arranged by me; inspired in the moments of constructing this invocation over the past couple weeks.
Maybe I’ll post my morning Sunday ritual for Amun Re next week.

Ra.
He suspirado tanto
en los brazos del Sol
que me he puesto a arder...
Soy fuego que ciega
si no se le sabe ver.
I have sighed so much
in the arms of the Sun
that I have set myself on fire...
I am fire that blinds
if you don't know how to see it.

Amun-Re,
God of Gods,
Universal Lord,
you dip me in the waters of Nun,
allowing my body to break down,
only to raise be on the primordial mound,
building my bones and flesh anew.
You fashion my heart from papyrus,
and fill my eyes with lapis lazuli.
To you,
I give my thanks,
for showing me that much can be built from dissolution.
Dua Amun-Re!
