I want hand kisses. I want a quiet moment when both of them have run out of words to say and there is so much hurt and love between them that there aren't words. So Aziraphale (because it needs to be Aziraphale this time) just lifts Crowley's hand and press a long kiss to his fingers.

I want Crowley to stare, his face unreadable while his brain reboots. And then I want him to squeeze Aziraphale's hand and for that to be ENOUGH. For both of them to melt and be certain now that they are on the same page.

I need this more than I need "I love you".

Thinking about how much of a full circle moment the Blue Marble photograph was/is.

Thoughts on language/religion in regards to this au. They aren't fully fleshed out but I'll clean it up as I go.

Learning a divine language is kinda taboo, like, you can learn them, and it's certainly less frowned upon than poneglyph, but outward practice isn't really accepted. Many people who are religious or follow religious practices are well versed in divine languages, in order to feel closer to their respective Gods.

Besides, religion makes people feel at ease and the world government is pretty relaxed when it comes to punishing those for worshiping or following their Gods. With how many there are, and how deeply a lot of it is ingrained into so many cultures, it'd also be a pain in the ass to control both that and pirates.

Koby learns through the people he meets while traveling. A lot of them think it's odd but fascinating that a young, wide-eyed marine wants to learn something like that. They indulge him anyways.

He did get better at understanding the language but his pronunciation isn't great, kinda hard to make some of the sounds Luffy makes too. Especially when he isn't used to talking like that, nor are most people. Demigods have an easier time picking up on speaking the actual... Words?

Robin understands the language of the Gods, and the rest of the Straw Hats do pick up on it a little bit just through exposure to Luffy. Luffy isn't the greatest teacher, but having people who want to understand him is always exciting. He is thrilled when he meets up with Koby on Water 7 and Koby can understand him.

I am going over Murderbot's and ART's first interactions again and it's driving me crazy, so I really need to yell into the void about it.

Alright, so we have ART:

ART, a highly advanced deep space research vessel, who is very attached to its crew and seems to generally do what it's supposed to, especially when not doing so could endanger its mission - but ends up accepting a suspicious looking SecUnit that is lying about being a bot aboard itself. ART is evidently aware that it is directly breaking the rules in doing so. (Aside: How often does ART break the rules?) Why? All for that tempting media package that the SecUnit has to offer?

No.

It was sent off to do some work all alone and got bored and lonely. (I think there are different ways to intepret this, but looking at our super social raised-by-humans loving-its-crew never-shutting-up research vessel, I choose to think that is exactly what it was!)

Anyway, what does ART do now that it has this lying, potentially dangerous rogue SecUnit aboard? It

lets it know that it saw right through its lies and knows exactly what it is

intimidates and threatens it by showing off its own ridiculously extensive superiority (just to be on the safe side ofc)

gets bored after the SecUnit gets too scared to do anything interesting

asks the SecUnit to "stop sulking"

learns that the SecUnit has been through A Lot and seemingly understands how it made it feel and apologizes

gets bored again and starts lurking and harasses convinces the SecUnit to watch media about ships and their crews with it

[gets way too invested and agitated by the media, probably going through its first media-induced emotional crises (but gets through them with the support of the very patient SecUnit)]

tries to have a conversation with the SecUnit to get to know it better

gets offended that the SecUnit is not answering truthfully and won't share sensitive and very private information about itself

lets the SecUnit know it can see through its lies, calling it "inherently inferior" to itself and causing the SecUnit to sulkily shut down for four hours (lol)

immediately calls the SecUnit "unnecessarily childish" upon its awakening four hours later (referring to its own extensive experience with children to really get the point across)

And apparently all of this seemed to be a perfectly pleasant and normal interaction to ART, because:

That's how you make friends, isn't it?!

God, I love ART so so so much and this is SO funny to me! To be fair, I don't think anyone ever really prepared it for an interaction like this. (Probably because its crew did not expect it to pick up a stray rogue SecUnit and try to befriend it).

Fun little fluffy idea where Kara makes a running joke of desperately professing her love randomly and repeatedly after they've already gotten together.

Like, going to surprise Lena at L-Corp and seeing Lena on the sidewalk about to get into a towncar to leave, and sprinting the last of the way and arriving breathless. "Lena! Wait!"

Lena stops in surprise and turns to her, perhaps opening her arms for a hug, only to have her shoulders clasped firmly as Kara looks her dead in the eyes.

"I love you," Kara declares urgently, ardently. "I always have. I should have told you sooner, but I was afraid. Afraid to lose you, even as a friend. I'm sorry, and I love you. Please. Please don't go."

Lena stares at her, before softening into a grin. "I'm going home, you dork."

She teases, but secretly loves it.

"Oh!" Kara chirps, immediately breaking character. "Mind if I bum a ride then?"

Lena rolls her eyes, giving Kara a small push towards the car. "Get in, doofus."

They spend the ride back to Kara's apartment cuddling in the backseat, after Lena gives her girlfriend a big smooch.
