The further along his courtship with Peasley progresses, the more and more Luigi is loved and celebrated within the Beanbean Kingdom. He’s already highly regarded, if not as highly as his brother — he’s still a hero at the end of the day, and even if he hasn’t made a career of it, he took direct part in eliminating a national threat. But in the beginning, he’s still, well, the other Mario brother, the one that tagged along and doesn’t have much more to his name outside of that single adventure.
But there’s something about him that starts catching people’s attention. The Beanish royal family is deeply beloved, but the Queen is noble to the point of stoicism while the Crown Prince is flashy and flamboyant and larger than life, making them feel almost unreachable. Then along comes a man who’s as closely affiliated with the royals as one can be, a war hero and the unspoken-but-understood future Prince Consort, and he’s… just some guy.
He stutters a lot, he has a hard time maintaining eye contact, he tends to look at his feet when he walks. He always gets the same order at Starbeans yet seems gratefully surprised each time he walks in and the baristas have it ready for him. He reads all of the plaques in parks and at museums and monuments with keen interest; he always stops to admire the flowers and oohs and ahhs at crops growing in farmers’ fields; when children who don’t yet understand his status seize him by the wrists and implore him to play, he does so joyfully. He’s not a people person, per say, but he’s still a people’s person — he doesn’t sit back and adopt a dignified facade and float high on his elevated social status and the luxuries it entails. He makes no attempt to hide his imperfections, and he’s genuinely invested in the Beanish people, their culture, and their everyday lives.
Being so down-to-earth makes him easily approachable, which has an unintended but fortuitous side-effect: he becomes a direct link between the once inaccessible royal family and the general populace. He listens to average people’s stories and recounts them to his lover, who in turn becomes more sensitive and attuned to the needs and wants and hopes of his people, a shift that soon rubs off on his mother as well and begins seeping into both written policy and the way they interact with those beneath them. Luigi is considered in short order to be one of the best political influences the kingdom has seen in years.
And he doesn’t even mean to have any influence! He just likes learning about people and the things that drive them because he’s so curious and compassionate! He’s got no political know-how and he can’t even pretend to think more highly of himself than those around him; he’s the least princely future prince out there, and that’s precisely why he’s so loved.

MOON IN THE 1st HOUSE: Observations
Tumblr media
Those who have this placement are ever changing and fluid. These individuals are highly sensitive and attuned to every shift felt within their environment. They are perceptive and watch others from afar in silence. Although their presence is not always recognized, it is felt by everyone. There are periods of time in which those who have the Moon in the first house must hide away. Recharging is very important to these individuals. They have a special connection with water, it soothes their soul. A simple shower can do wonders, this everyday habit cleanses away all the excess energy they pick up from others. They also have a special connection with music, a song playing overhead in a supermarket can change their mood without them even realizing it. On the flip side, there are also times in which a person with this placement wants to show themselves off to the world! They really are quite fun, they get into the type of mischief that reminds me of little kids playing in the dark. They are all giggles and jokes when surrounded by kindred spirits. There is also a naughty side to them that others wouldn't pick up on because they look so innocent. In fact, there are many hidden aspects to those with this placement that will never see the light of day. In ways, these individuals treasure the most private aspects of themselves, but they also carry a lot of shame. From the time they were born, those with Moon in the first house were assigned the role of a caregiver. They have been expected to put others first all throughout their lives. So, in the few instances in which they do something purely for themselves, they often feel conflicted with guilt afterwards. It is easy for others to take advantage of them because of their overly generous nature. Learning how to set healthy boundaries is a hard lesson for those with displacement. They either overly cater to others, or they keep them at a cold distance. They also find it difficult to open up to others, despite the fact that other people open up to them rather easily. However, even with their difficulties in navigating the social sphere, these natives go on to create many deep and meaningful connections throughout their lives. The love and care they give others is life changing and much needed. On an intuitive level, these individuals know what people need. Their delicate nature is soothing and they bring so much comfort into the lives of others. They have huge watery eyes with long eyelashes. Their physical body is defined by many soft features that are pleasing to the eye. They move gracefully and aren’t really prone to pick up on fidgety mannerism. Under periods of stress or discomfort, it is more like their body shuts down into a slump rather than a nervous strain. It is easy to pick up on what they are feeling because they express every emotion readily on their face. They have an inner radiance that reflects their peaceful nature.

Hey! Do you have any headcanons on Izuna, his personality, his values, or his relationship dynamic around people?
Heyo anon! Thank you so much for your question. I have, indeed, a few headcanons about Izuna.
———
I tend to describe Izuna’s personality as Yin and Yang to Madara’s.
I do see Izuna as someone who is devoted and harmonious (as the databook describes him). His harmonious personality anchored and had a very soothing quality to it - to which people were drawn, especially children.
With Madara Izuna displays even as an adult (and long after he has been made Madara’s second-in-command and co-leader) a honesty about his feelings. He never attempts to hide his feelings to the only person that fully appreciates his every emotion - which makes his speech blunt - if elegant - and there is always a certain softness to his voice whenever Izuna speaks with Madara in private (arguments being the only exception…but even then anger does not last long between them). Izuna is in general someone very respectful and mindful of the social hierarchy in the clan. He addresses Madara as “nii-san” and Tajima as “tō-sama” to show both respect and affection.
When around other people - despite his soothing aura - he tends to appear aloof or stoic. This is done so he remains level-headed, but it is also a genuine wall of protection (as an adult), due to certain incidents that is the root of his own trust issues. Like Madara he was someone born sensitive and attuned to the needs of others. He is also naturally quite reserved (something that was amplified in his childhood, which made it a touch worse than it would have been otherwise)
Despite his stoicism - and extreme focus when in the midst of battle - Izuna is not afraid to show his emotions (but he does consider his options when an adult, yet he is not repressing his emotions to an unhealthy degree…which is mostly due to Madara’s involvement in caring for Izuna since they were very young - and who encouraged Izuna to always show his emotions around him - that he would always be there and love him no matter what the world says - and Izuna has unwavering faith in his brother’s affection for him).
That said, despite willing to go through hell for Madara - both a metaphorical and literal one - at times Izuna feels smothered by Madara’s loving, caring nature - due to guilt and feelings of unworthiness that seize him from time to time, feelings involving one of their younger brothers and his death - and as if his brother does not see his accomplishments as a warrior.
He prefers the role of the observer rather than that of the talker (but he is gifted with words, despite his bluntness). This - together with his natural perceptive thinking (that is quick to connect dots), and natural intuition, that he honed when his family was still complete, and especially more so when grief whisked Madara far away from him, makes Izuna a terrifyingly accurate reader of emotional states. He can discern the most subtle of changes in ‘aura’, and while not always able to be consciously aware of such and pinpoint exactly how he got to certain conclusions, Izuna’s opinions are valued highly by the clan and Madara.
Due to his perfectionistic tendencies Izuna can be strict when he is in the role of a teacher (or sparring partner). Be it adult or child, Izuna is known to demonstrate just how painful their reality (and the battlefield) can be out of necessity. He does it not from a place of malice or or even cruelty, but out of a wish to see the children of the clan live to see another day (unlike the way he failed his three siblings).
Despite showing his emotions quite freely, Izuna tends to only really let himself be vulnerable (genuinely) around Madara and Tajima (before his death) and a potential wife, as he - like Madara - suffered a loss in trust from people at a young age. The worst pain was not caused on the battlefield (as Izuna had been prepared for combat since he was four years old - that is not to say that death and cruelty did not shake him to the core) but in the moments where he was emotionally abandoned by those he considered his friends and those who said they “loved” him.
What betrayed Izuna most frequently when it came to his emotions (as even his mask could crack from time to time) was his mouth - surprising as it may seem - and then his eyes. There he and Madara were very much alike; which made them an open book to each other (which caused minor grievances for the both of them).
Izuna is prone to anger and irritation due to the hopelessness that swallows him up from time to time. He is also prone to disassociating when the memories, and sensory data, becomes too much. He is also a very stubborn and prideful person - proud of his achievements and constantly striving to hone these further. He is also someone quite arrogant - something that shines through in his posture and he is extremely proud of his eyes (Sharingan and Mangekyō Sharingan). Despite Madara being an accomplished shinobi in every aspect, Izuna actually outshines him in swordsmanship.
I see Izuna as someone who valued and cared for children - so much so that he refused to become a father (to the outrage of the Elders in the clan) himself. The reason being that he has seen far too many children grow up without parents - and it always causes him the most pain when he sees children, old enough to remember their parents, grow up with the same wish for vengeance that he carries in his heart. And as much as he lets his rage nurture his motivation to become stronger…a part of Izuna knows that eradicating the entire Senju clan would have the void within him still ache. He knows that he would not gain any satisfaction from their deaths, as the dead would remain dead. He also does not want to leave his lover/wife alone to care for a child (essentially, he does not want to become what he hates).
(The above mentioned headcanon can fluctuate depending on which story I want to write. I’m quite fond of making Mikoto his great(great?great??)granddaughter. But I personally prefer to have him without children…or that his lover/wife raises their child alone as he dies the same young age he does in canon - unaware of such fact as his lover learns of her pregnancy shortly after his death)
Izuna values honesty to a near unhealthy degree (it is another reason he does not hide his emotions, at least not with Madara) and loathes lies (due to lies having caused him much distress as a child). That said, it was not a simple choice for him to go behind Madara’s back, and talk with their father - the moment he found out the former’s secret - who himself already had his suspicions that Madara had befriended someone outside the clan. This caused Izuna a lot of distress and frustration and it briefly distanced the brothers after the confrontation at the river.
He also values loyalty and love - in the form of gestures. Words are nothing but self-righteous noise in Izuna’s ears. He therefore prefers to show - and be shown - how valued his loved ones are to him.
Izuna is not against peace. He would welcome an end to all the death and misery around - if it were not the Senju asking for an alliance. It is in this scenario that Izuna values their clan above even Madara’s happiness. He distrusts the Senju - not only because they murdered his siblings - but because he is genuinely afraid of Hashirama (not his power, but the darkness within him), loathes Tobirama (who Izuna knows would sooner have them all buried beneath the ground) and sees only their clan at a disadvantage in an alliance with the Senju. He bases his argument on a different clan (mortal enemies as well) that attempted what Hashirama and Madara wanted to attempt - only to fail miserably. He sees only a repeat of that should Madara accept Hashirama’s offer. As well as the demise on their clan. He also considers the Senju “too different” from them.
While Izuna is devoted to his clan, the person closest to his heart, would always be Madara - following just a heartbeat thereafter was Tajima, his mother and his other three siblings - who he loved in a way that was unmeasurable, and Madara felt precisely the same way.

This is how I would answer your question atm anon. I hope my answer was satisfying. :)
Thank you once more for this fun ask, all the best and take care o/

Hi, I really enjoy your language of birthdays series. If you have time would you be able to do February 26?
Language Of Birthdays: February 26 - Pisces
The Day Of Arousal
Those born on February 26 have a great capacity to arouse others both emotionally and mentally. They are highly attuned to people's sensitivities and therefore able to stir them deeply. Very adept at wielding irony and satire, they are also able to bring critical faculties to bear on the faults of both people and social institutions. More highly evolved individuals born on this day devote themselves to selfless causes in order to benefit their fellow human beings, often awakening them to the possibilities of both material and spiritual advancement.
Although February 26 people are highly individualistic, often engaged in a somewhat lonely pursuit of personal goals, they have a quiet but magnetic effect on those they meet. Most born on this day are not given to public displays of affection, and are more comfortable when spontaneity and impulsiveness originate with the other party. But while in private they are often quiet, serious and peace-loving individuals, they generally adopt a much more aggressive persona in their work life.
Because those born on this day are capable of wounding others deeply with their criticisms and probing insights, they must beware of arousing enmity and antagonism. But though February 26 people, particularly as parents, can be overly authoritarian on occasion, they are rarely as fond or decided in their stance as they would like to appear. Actually they are very vulnerable to emotional appeals and their buttons a bit easy to push. Where indulgences for their lovers, family members or children are concerned, this may not be such a bad thing. However, it is best if those born on this day lessen their reactiveness when handling their business or professional affairs. Many February 26 people have a bad habit of presenting an over-serious or even high-handed demeanour, and should therefore try to lighten up and take themselves a bit less seriously. More highly evolved February 26 people develop a much needed capacity to laugh at themselves, without losing dignity or self-esteem.
Due to their empathic powers, February 26 people can strike a common chord in those whom they do not know that well or even have never met (through their work or creations). Being on the same wave length with others and sharing good feelings is very highly valued by them. Those born on this day are extremely happy when there is no need to explain themselves but can feel assured that another person silently understands their thinking.
Because many February 26 people secretly feel on the outside of society, being accepted carries great significance for them. In gaining social recognition for their often unusual achievements, they are brought into meaningful contact with society at large. However, should they assume positions of importance or receive a great deal of worldly success, they may feel but a heightened desire to be alone once again with their work.
Strengths:
Empathetic
Critical
Stimulating
Weaknesses:
Self-important
Harsh
Reactive
Advice
Those born on February 26 often have confidence in their ability to keep themselves in good health through autosuggestion and a positive outlook. They do. however, have strong sensual needs, often manifesting in a love of food and other physical pleasures. Diet can be a real problem for them for this reason. They must make a special effort to curb their love for butter, cream, rich sauces and delicious, but fattening, foods. They can be prone to all sorts of allergies, particularly those that produce mucus, which makes cutting down on milk products still more vital. Although physically active in their youth, many February 26 people get too comfortable and sedentary as they grow older and in some cases ignore their need for physical exercise altogether. They should fight this tendency and partake in regular, moderate exercise (of a non-competitive nature).
Keep things simple, and always human
Don't get carried away: take yourself a bit less seriously
Learn to listen, share responsibility and sometimes let others be the boss

Rick hate blogs for the win tbh. But I was just curious— do you still rp with rick blogs? And do ppl who know rick is toxic and don’t approve of his actions but still like him as a character get on your nerves? I’m just curious! Have a good day!!
hiya  hiya!  you  have  a  lovely  day  too!  i’m  saying  it  before  i  address  the  other  stuff  just  so  i  don’t  forget  to  wish  it  to  you!  <3
yeah  of  course  i  still  rp  with  rick  blogs  (on  my  roleplay  blog)!  my  friend  val  writes  several  ricks  and  c-136  talks  with  a  few  of  them  ‘online’  sporadically  and  thinks  they’re  Neat.  rick  interactions  nourish  me  and  i  am  very  open  to  them  although  people  who  rp  him  are  few  and  far  between  to  my  knowledge.
people  who  know  rick  is  toxic  and  disapprove  of  his  actions  but  still  enjoy  him  as  a  character  are  fine  with  me!  i’m  one  of  them,  to  an  extent?
ALTHOUGH.  uhhhh.  i  suppose  it  depends  on  how  exactly  you  ‘enjoy’  him  as  to  whether  it’d  “get  on  my  nerves.”  but  even  if  it  did,  i  wouldn’t  ever  comment  on  it  or  be  mean  about  it??  sjdfkjsdfkl  idk!  i’d  just...  let  you  do  your  thing  and  continue  doing  mine!  different  strokes  different  folks!
i  think  i’m  a  bad  person  to  look  to  for  much  sympathy  if  you  relate  to  or  connect  with  rick,  because ...  god.  he’s  such  a  bad  person.  he’s  an  awful,  shitty,  destructive,  abusive  person,  and  i  loathe  him  for  it!  and  i’m  right  i  think!
yes,  he’s  capable  of  being  good,  and  caring,  and  has  been  several  times  over  the  course  of  the  show.  i  acknowledge  it  often  and  the  collar  scene  with  morty,  him  shooting  mr.  jellybean  really  resonated  with  me,  for  example.
but  for  the  most  part,  his  love  is  so  conditional,  and  feels  so  impossibly  out  of  reach  for  the  people  that  adore  him  (his  own  daughter,  summer,  morty  to  an  extent)  because  he  deliberately  makes  it  feel  that  way.  keeps  them  at  arm’s  length  with  beth,  for  example,  or  verbally  puts  them  down  and  degrades  them  instead  of  being  emotionally  vulnerable  and  conducting  himself  in  a  way  that  would  imply  he  gave  a  shit  if  they  died  in  the  case  of  morty.
he  has  zero  issue  with  grievously  traumatizing  his  grandson  and  abandoning  families  he’s  gotten  to  know  for  years,  up  and  leaving  when  the  going  gets  tough  instead  of  sticking  around  to  help  them  or  keep  trying  because  it’s  easier  for  him  not  to  bother  and  just  move  on.
tbh,  just  about  any  post  that  expresses  fondness  for  rick  or  ‘uwu-ifys’  him  with  no  criticism  at  all  makes  me  grimace.  i’m  so  repelled  by  how  he  withholds  love,  treats  everyone  around  him  poorly,  and  is  such  an  inherently  dickheaded  character  that  i  can’t  bring  myself  to  interact  much  with  people  who  are  apologetic  for  him  at  all,  because  he  hasn’t  redeemed  himself  enough  for  me  to  want  to  see  that  very  often?  if  at  all.
i  just  think  some  people  hold  too  much  forgiveness  for  rick  in  their  hearts.  like,  you  can  demand  redemption  arcs  for  him  all  you  want,  but ...  i  think  the  sheer  volume  of  unforgivable  things  he’s  done  makes  it  so  that  sort  of  thing  will  just  never  sit  well  with  me  regardless.
rick  hasn’t  done  anything  as  of  right  now  that  makes  him  worth  forgiving,  and  apologizing  for,  and  justifying,  and  babying.  quite  the  opposite,  in  fact.  so  i  find  it  strange  that  people  can  pluck  all  this  adoration  for  a  character  who’s  so  objectively  bad  out  of,  like,  nowhere ---  or  homing  in  on  the  bare  minimum  of  kindness  he  performs  each  season  and  building  him  up  in  their  head  to  be  largely  those  traits.  he  gets  a  mopey  scene  every  season  where  he’s  self  pitying,  and  people  twist  it  to  be  something  that  makes  him  redeemable  instead.
people  will  see  things  like  rick  flinching  away  from  beth  raising  her  fist  and  trip  over  themselves  to  escalate  the  valid  theory  of  ‘oh  my  god!  he’s  a  physical  abuse  survivor!’  to  the  far  more  vexing  ‘HE’S  BABY!  HE’S  DONE  NOTHING  WRONG  EVER  IN  HIS  LIFE!  HOW  DARE  BETH  DO  THAT  TO  HIM!’
like,  what  the  fuck?  how  dare  beth  raise  a  hand  to  him  and  not  even  act  upon  it?  lmao?
first  of  all,  he’d  deserve  to  have  been  actually  smacked  the  fuck  out  in  that  moment.  “how  dare  beth  do  that  to  him?”  how  dare  RICK  treat  her  poorly  for  her  entire  childhood,  neglect  her,  do  the  bare  minimum  when  it  came  to  raising  her,  waltz  back  into  her  life,  traumatize  her  son,  destroy  her  marriage,  have  the  gall  to  insult  her  parenting  capability,  manipulate  her  emotionally,  clone  her  instead  of  asking  her  to  stay  and  be  a  part  of  her  life  like  she  so  desperately  needed  to  hear:  the  list  goes  on!  second  of  all,  HE  HIT  MORTY  IN  THE  FACE,  ON  PURPOSE,  SOLELY  TO  BE  CRUEL,  AND  GAVE  HIM  A  BLACK  EYE.  it’s  called  getting  his  just  desserts,  as  far  as  i’m  concerned.
i  kind  of  went  off  a  bit  there,  sorry,  but ---  i’m  just  trying  to  exemplify  /  explain  what  sort  of  behavior  tends  to  rub  me  the  wrong  way  when  it  comes  to  people  who  enjoy  rick’s  character.
i  myself  think  he’s  very  interesting,  and  complex,  and  it’s  enjoyable  to  consume  his  arcs  and  watch  his  character  development  unfold.  he  can  be  fun,  and  it’s  definitely  intriguing  to  see  his  intelligence  at  work.  he’s  even  capable  of  being  sweet  and  wholesome,  having  fun  with  his  grandkids.  but  for  me,  his  negative  traits  are  so  glaring,  so  volatile,  that  the  positives  aren’t  something  i  can  bring  myself  to  be  invested  in  unless  he  starts  trying  to  better  himself  as  a  person.  like,  he’s  just  a  drunken  bag  of  dicks.
idk  this  went  a  little  off  the  rails  and  i’m  sorry!  again,  this  is  just  how  i  feel  about  things.

Retrograde Planets
(Source: Tracy Mark’s “The Art of Chart Interpretation”)
Retrograde planets are functions of the personality which operate in an inward, indirect, subconscious, and delayed manner. They generally indicate energies which we were not encouraged to express outwardly when we were young, and which, as a result, we must develop for ourselves, in our own way and in our own time. Most people have two or three retrograde planets; zero, one or four retrogrades is unusual but not extraordinary. People who have no retrogrades develop most of the important life skills at an early age and rarely need to explore their own psychological process until one of their planets turns retrograde by progression. People with four or more retrograde planets usually feel alienated from society and struggle more than most people to find their “niche” in the world. Turning inward when very young, they experience a need to define for themselves their own unique value system, philosophy or aim in life. Complex, reflective and individualistic, these people usually have to set their own standards and forge their own paths, even if doing so means eccentricity or isolation. Regression, inhibition and withdrawal may characterize retrograde planets, but they also have considerable constructive potential in regard to self-understanding, self-directed activity and openness to unconscious and superconscious energies. Students familiar with secondary progressions should note whether retrograde planets in the natal chart have turned direct by progression, or direct planets have turned retrograde, because such changes will have a significant impact upon the personality.
Keywords for each of the retrograde planets are as follows:

Note
We’ve heard about cultural differences between the Links, where’s the physiological differences?
Sly for example. It wouldn’t make sense for Skyloftians to have a higher blood saturation, and it’d make them even more sleepy on the surface
Maybe everyone in Wind’s time is shorter, to make it easier for body heat to dissipate across their bodies, their skins darker
One the one hand, Hyrule’s above average night vision is a blessing coupled with his ability to see further away is a blessing. On the other, his lower bone density leads to some fussing from the others
And don’t get me started on immunisation, they travel across time and space, how are they not dead from the flu already
I assume you mean in context of Linked Universe, and I am taking this more seriously than you probably meant.
Being up in the clouds means you'd need more oxygen, so Sky's got bigger lungs. He also has to devote more energy into using said lungs, as well as being capable of a veeeeery limited form of Hylian telepathy, hence the stamina gauge (I like the blood saturation theory, but I haven't researched that enough to go with it). His appendix still does what it's supposed to, which is why he starts with six hearts (thanks @amamillalatortilla). Also worth noting, the high altitude means his voice carries better, so he'd be naturally quieter than the others.
Four's is more of a personal difference; his body adapted to the Minish portals, so he never developed any growth spurts past the first time he jumped into one.
Time did the opposite; the repeated time travel kicked him into overdrive, and he hit all his growth spurts early and intensely. Combine that with the Fierce Deity mask, and...yeah. Tall boi.
Legend and Twilight, having swapped between dimensions and forms a LOT, are more highly attuned to sensing rifts between said worlds than others, and can sort of feel when spirits are around. Not nearly as intensely as Wild can with hidden Koroks, but they can tell pretty well when something's awry.
Legend has a resistance to magic, too, but that's more a result of using magic so often than something that happened to him naturally.
Twilight's naturally stronger than the others, on account of his farm work growing up. Time's equal now, thanks to Malon, but when he was a kid, he had jelly arms and couldn't even pick bomb flowers.
Hyrule and Wild have the strongest immune systems, and Wild's Hylians have the fastest reflexes, due to the sheer amount of wild territory and monsters the two have had to brave.
Speaking of Wild, the shrine of resurrection didn't fix him totally; because of the amount of injuries he sustained, he tires out much more easily than the others, and compensates with stamina vessels.
The toon styling of Wind Waker is more of a perspective change, otherwise we'd see a more on-model Master Sword. However, Wind's got a good eye for the weather; he and Sky can pretty accurately predict what the forecast is for the day! Wind himself doesn't dive, but the people of his era, human and Hylian alike, have larger spleens to allow them to dive further.
Ironically, Warriors is the most "normal" Hylian of the bunch, closer to Hyrule's civilian population in ability.
For my boys, because I want to gush about them:
Piper's Hylians are VERY magic sensitive; they live and utilize magic so often in the form of the Spirit Tracks that any area without it seems unnaturally quiet, like when you turn off white noise. They also burn off excess magic when particularly excited in the form of Force Gems, which feeds into the tracks to be grounded out in extensions of it. It makes kind of a feedback loop where the tracks are slowly spreading out as long as there's good in the world.
Taps' Hylians are still adapting from the Sky era conditions. Their appendixes still work. They do better in higher altitudes than lower ones, and they can go into shock if they switch altitudes too quickly without practice due to their lungs panicking and trying to expand like they were built to. That'll fade out more and more in subsequent generations as Hylians become more accustomed to the surface.
Soldier's got more stamina than Wild due to the Shrine of Ressurection shenanigans, but a lower immune system. He and Wild are otherwise physically identical, so there isn't much else to say there.
Fox is by far the fragile outlier; the only human of the bunch, he's got lower stamina and lower resilience against attacks, but intense training to be a hero has compensated a little bit. Get that boy some heart containers.
Cadenza lives with intense telepathic synthesia, so he's got REALLY good hearing compared to the others at the cost of clumsiness whenever he misses a "beat." Telepathic synthesia is a common condition to have in his time, in varying degrees, so you'd be hard pressed to find someone that isn't tapping their foot to some invisible beat. He's also exhausted his adrenaline response due to the deaths-and-Fate interaction.
Now for general Hylian stuffs:
Fairies cure illnesses, as evidenced with Wind's grandma, and all the Links have at some point touched a fairy. That's how they resist viruses they wouldn't have otherwise developed immunity against.
They're also highly resistant to poisons, burns, frostbite, and electric shock. Not only do they survive elemental magic attacks often, but they can get struck by lightning, fight off toxins inflicted by plants, fog, mud, and bad food in seconds, and walk into active volcanoes with no respiratory damage whatsoever.
They're designed to pull more nutrition out of food than humans are, and as such, they can go longer without eating, have smaller stomachs, and can restore their energy with a simple bottle of milk.
They have good night vision, able to see in varying degrees in complete darkness. The best night vision of the bunch goes to Sky, and the worst goes to Hyrule, but even Hyrule's level of night vision lets him see himself and various enemies, suggesting that there's an element of motion detection to Hylian vision (don't move and he can't see us)!
Hylians have stronger bones than we do. While they do take damage from high falls, they don't sustain any long term injuries from it, even when they're at the point of death (like Wild). This means the damage they get from a fall is a lot more likely to be to their muscle tissue, so sprains and deep bruises. That could also be why Stalfos stick around for so long!

astrology notes: moon’s origins edition (pt. 2)
moon in libra
libra moons crave the idealized experience of beauty and peace; you seek to co-operate with others, to please, and to establish one-to-one relationships which are mutually gratifying. you also find satisfaction in using your minds, particularly your power of objectivity. a parent who valued you highly and enjoyed pleasing you; who encouraged your aesthetic and intellectual development, and who was willing and able to appreciate your points of view, may have helped you to become attuned to the positive dimensions of a libra moon.
if, however, your moon is in difficult aspect, or if its trines or sextiles suggest a parent who was only superficially available to you, you may attempt to gain from a partner what you could never experience from our parents. you may become overly dependent upon others, seeking to win their favor by being indispensable and satisfying their every desire. you 're also inclined to avoid confronting our anger and pain, suppressing emotions because you fear any threat to your relationships which might force you to acknowledge your aloneness. these patterns were probably by a parent figure who placed too much emphasis upon appearance or surface harmony, who could not tolerate discord, or who led you to believe that relationship equals subordinating oneself to another. such a mother or father may have brought many unfulfilled needs into parenting, expecting you to compensate for deficiencies he or she experienced in childhood or marriage.
although your libra moons suggest that your emotional fulfillment requires mutually significant relationships with others, you can only build satisfying connections by first developing a secure relationship with yourselves, accepting as valid your own feelings and needs, and being willing to assert yourselves, even when it means experiencing temporary discord for the sake of more authentic contact. you need to apply your openmindedness and capacity to identify with many points of view in relation to both yourselves, and others - to listen to and affirm each of your internal needs, willingly entering disharmony and imbalance when necessary to create a more enduring harmony and balance which is so vital to you. you need to honor your libran need for beauty and peace, creating environments and relationships which truly soothe and uplift you.
moon in scorpio
this moon shows you value your privacy; you are capable of considerable emotional intensity and passion; and you need to probe beneath the surface of experience to truly connect with something. when your feelings are denied or your needs unmet, you may easily resort to detrimental scorpio behavior patterns - obsessions with sexuality or money, expressions of revenge or destruction, or demanding and manipulative behaviors. one of the difficulties of a scorpio moon is related to the fear of losing control or surrendering. because of this fear, you may deny or conceal the softer, vulnerable facets of yourselves, preventing yourselves from experiencing the genuine connection you seek.
you may have internalized messages from your parents which enabled you to develop resourcefulness, endurance and strength of character, and the power to plumb the depths of experience. your sexuality may have been awakened early through the intensity of friendly or family interactions (this doesn’t mean abuse; but sex was one outlet your intense feelings found to let themselves go), so you were forced to come to terms with your own life and death force. a scorpionic parent, however, may have negatively influenced your ability to receive nurturance and to nourish yourselves. perhaps such a parent was hostile and disciplinary, so you developed considerable mistrust and learned to hide your feelings. they may have been dominating, intrusive or sexually provocative, leading you to fear being possessed or overpowered. coldness or stoicism, as manifested in a 'be tough' attitude, may have prevented your internal child from receiving the tenderness and care you needed. sometimes a scorpio moon suggests the premature death of a parent, or a premature confrontation with realities of death or violence.
you have the power to re-parent yourselves by recovering, accepting and expressing your feelings and emotional needs, not just your sexual desires. you need to contact your core, to possess yourselves rather than others, and to learn how to channel your passion constructively. one task of your scorpionic moon is that of discovering your inner power and drawing upon your own capacities to meet your needs rather than manipulating others to give you what you are unable or unwilling to give yourselves.
moon in sagittarius
if you have a sagittarian moon, you need to be free to expand your boundaries - to discover and actualize possibilities, to travel, and / or to develop your own understanding of things. you have a generous heart and seek to give from your own bounty; you also seek to rise above your difficulties through humor and friendship.
when your real needs aren’t met, or when you come into contact with feelings or desires which threaten you, you may express your sagittarian nature in a defensive or twisted manner - procrastinating or avoiding immediate issues by focusing upon the future, abstract realms or escapism (daydreaming); becoming preoccupied with ideals or goals rather than current tasks; intellectualizing or philosophizing incessantly; joking inappropriately; or moving restlessly from activity to activity or person to person on an endless quest both to escape from responsibility and to fulfill your inner emptiness.
most probably, your mother or significant parent figure provided you with a constructive philosophical framework by which to view life, and imbued you with a love of both internal and external exploration. but such a parent may have been fearful of emotional closeness and taken refuge in themselves rather than responding to your actual needs or feelings or to the difficulties or burdens you experienced. they may have indulged you rather than given you real nourishment. they may have preached rather than gently taught, issuing 'shoulds' or religious principles which may don’t keep up with your own nature and development.
those with moon in sag may need to reparent yourselves by creating your own philosophy and morality apart from your parents and by using your philosophy to help you come to terms with rather than suppress your feelings and needs. your tasks may also include learning to give to yourselves and others, developing the internal freedom capable of existing within limitations and commitments, and discovering and maintaining contact with the god you believe in (if you do), the universe within or whichever internal guiding spirit which leads and inspires you.
moon in capricorn
those of you with a capricorn moon (me!) need the security of organization and structure, and the satisfaction of maintaining commitments and achieving your aims. you take pride in your work and want recognition for your accomplishments. capricorn is the position of the moon's detriment (i know. i know.) and is therefore a particularly difficult position for experiencing emotional nourishment and developing self-nurturing behaviors. when feelings and needs emerge, you may not even allow them fully to enter your consciousness. you may be too afraid of your vulnerability or weakness, and too judgemental of your inner child. repression of the deeper facets of yourselves may lead you to wallow in depression, negativity or self-criticism, to work incessantly, or to isolate yourselves from fulfilling connections with other people. you may continually give ourselves 'be tough' messages which support your self-sufficiency but prevent the real connection with your feelings which makes close relationships possible.
it is most likely that a parental figure helped you to learn to control your emotions, take responsibility for yourselves and make adult rather than childish decisions; and also provided the consistency and safety you needed to feel secure. however, having a capricorn moon suggests that you could never give free rein to your feelings, and that you probably did not receive much tender nurturance (i did, but it was from another parent; mixed messages can make your feelings even more blurry). your parent may have been cold and rejecting; they may have neglected you or told that your feelings and needs had little value. perhaps they were also a perfectionist you could not satisfy, and whose acceptance was conditional upon notable achievement and success. as a result, you may feel a sense of worth only for what you accomplish, but not for who you are.
moons in capricorn, you need to create their own standards for yourselves apart from your parents' standards, and to give up compensatory striving which does not meet our genuine needs. your task involves developing an internal source of security and giving yourselves the validation and recognition you may have originally sought from others. you may only experience the fulfillment you seek when, by accepting your feelings and needs and allowing yourselves to be vulnerable, you discover strength and self-sufficiency which embraces rather than denies the sensitivity of your inner child.
moon in aquarius
your aquarian moon shows that you need to experience and express your individuality, to be free to interact with a wide range of people, and to use your intuitive, inventive and abstract mental capacities, and to contribute meaningfully to society. the energies of aquarius do not mesh easily with the cancerian moon principle. you may have difficulty acknowledging and validating your desires and feelings, and fear closeness and intimacy. when threatened by emerging emotions or needs, you may rationalize or intellectualize, may rebel or loudly proclaim your self-sufficiency, or may become overly preoccupied with meaningless shit. sometimes, moon in aquarius may lead you to make sudden abrupt changes in our lives to overcome the internal suffocation of too much closeness or intimacy with another person and / or lifestyle. cultivating a network of friends, and dedicating yourselves to a cause in which you believe, may fulfill you, but may also be a compensation for unmet personal needs.
it is most likely that a parent encouraged your aquarian qualities. they may have been intellectual, humanitarian and individualistic, and supported these traits in yourselves. you learned to take pride in your uniqueness and originality, and in your social and mental skills. however, such a parent may also have been emotionally detached or cold, and unable to nurture you physically or emotionally, while remaining responsive to large groups of people and social involvements which were less restrictive and emotionally demanding than ties to you. one or both of your parents may have been erratic when relating to you, so you could not develop trust in stable relationships, and learned at an early age to defend against intimacy.
you who have aquarian moons need to experience and value your own uniqueness, while simultaneously creating for yourselves your own society of intimates, one in which your emotional needs are respected and met rather than suppressed. you need to develop and trust your intuition, and to use your minds to help you understand your feelings and discover how to meet your needs, rather than escape from them. other tasks of your moon involve cultivating the internal freedom which results from full openness to your emotional natures and learning to be your own friend rather than submerging ourselves in social interactions because of your discomfort with yourselves. you can only have yourself.
moon in pisces
having this placement means that you need space in your lives to drift and to dream, relationships based upon empathic bonds, and openness to sources of inspiration inside and outside yourselves. the water energy of the moon is easily expressed, and sometimes overly emphasized, by a pisces moon. when you experience your feelings and needs, you may even indulge them through long bouts of crying, self-pity, or elicitations of sympathy from other people. with or without awareness, you may seek to escape from yourselves through fantasy or idealization, or through such addictions as alcohol or drugs. many of you with pisces moons may vicariously experience your feelings and satisfy your needs by continually focusing upon the feelings and needs of others and devoting ourselves to their welfare.
a parent who was a piscean influence most probably responded sensitively and compassionately to you and encouraged your inspirational temperament. however, if your Moon is afflicted, such a parent may also have had a detrimental influence upon you. they may have overindulged you, catering to your aches and pains, or too frequently played the victim, giving to you wholeheartedly but also invoking guilt or seeking complete dedication in return. they may have been hypochondriacal, or of an ethereal nature which could not easily come to terms with physical reality. a piscean parent may have been victim to their own addictions, or tangled in dreams or fantasies and not fully emotionally or physically present.
moon in pisces may need to learn how to respond constructively to your own feelings and needs, to serve yourselves and give to yourselves rather than attempt to lose yourselves in others. often, because you suffer from a spiritual discontent, you may have difficulty accepting and adapting to the realities of an earthly existence; you need to translate your visions into action, to live those dreams which are viable, forging a link between your practical and spiritual or creative natures. you may seek to experience oneness in close relationships, but you are not likely to know wholly that oneness unless you cultivate your attunement to your own creative and / or spiritual source, and open your hearts to the fullness of both the love and the pain within you.

CANCER RISING.
Born with Cancer on your Ascendant (or Rising), self-realization comes through a sophisticated attunement to your highly developed feeling nature.
You make sense of life through instinct and emotion.
You are likely to experience strong intuitions, and at times psychic sensibilities, and will therefore need to learn the difference between insight and projection.
Because you are so sensitive, you must recognize the impact that this can have on you.
You will need to acknowledge your sensitivity, accept your desire to nurture and support others, and acknowledge when this sensitivity leads you to take on too much, or become overly responsible for how others feel.
Learning to use your intuition to guide your choices is an important skill.
Self-awareness will grow as you develop emotional intelligence.
Your Home is Your Castle.
You may be very adaptable to change in your external circumstances, but need a peaceful and secure home base for your foundation. Home is very important, providing a sanctuary from the outside world. You may have a tendency to switch off and retreat here from time to time, especially when hurt, depressed, uncertain or confused.
You are likely to need clean, comfortable surroundings, and will prefer the company of refined people who can appreciate your unique qualities. Often close to family and friends, you are probably domesticated, with good cooking skills, as well as very capable on the work front.
However, a love of travel means that it is important to have the means to be able to get up and go. You may enjoy frequent changes of environment, allowing you to soak up the most of what life has to offer by soaking up the atmospheres of unfamiliar places.
Business Smarts.
Cancer rising gives business acumen, and you could do well as an entrepreneur owing to your heightened sense of how to cater to public tastes. You bring a practical, cautious yet determined approach to your own affairs which translates to good business practice. There is often great tenacity here, and you are likely to accomplish what you set out to do, despite constant flux and changes.
With persistence as well as careful strategic planning, you can easily profit by providing what others need.
In your professional or personal life there may be a tendency to avoid direct confrontation. You may approach problems sideways, in an attempt to negotiate emotional boundaries. You may at times be inclined toward stinginess, owing to an overly cautious attitude to money, which comes down to fear about having the ability to control external circumstances. You should learn to trust your feelings enough to know when it is time to conserve what you have and when it is time to spend.
Heightened Sensitivity.
As Cancer is a Cardinal sign, you need to direct your sensitivities, but this must be done in a way that is not overwhelming. Learning how to offer support when required is important, but you need to understand you are not responsible for others’ emotional wellbeing. The ability to nurture comes easily to you. Opportunities to care for others leads to growth and self-awareness.
Yet knowing when to draw the line is paramount. You must learn what is and IS NOT yours to be responsible for.If not achieved, then your life may feature constant episodes of drama and emotional intensity.
In this case, you can attract weak, needy, helpless or manipulative people – people in extremes of emotional crisis – in order to learn valuable life lessons. You can find yourself in relationships where one partner plays the role of adult and the other becomes the child. You might find yourself wondering why all of your friends seem to have problems? At the end of the day, this may have something to do with your need to feel needed, or inability to say no?
Healthy relationships need to be formed without guilt or co-dependency. Lessons in partnership usually involve learning to control and discipline your responses, so that they are appropriate to the situation at hand. You must also learn to trust what your instincts are telling you.
Family Life.
Family is likely to be very important to you. You will happily take on the role of responsible care-giver in any situation and will thrive on knowing you have a happy and productive family life. Whether you choose to focus your attention on family of origin or family of choice, a stronger sense of self will come through maintaining close family ties.
When young, you may be deeply invested in the emotional state of your mother. This can be detrimental if bonds of responsibility are not transformed at a later stage. Letting go so as to develop independence and strength is crucial. You may have been dutiful as a child, shy and overly aware of the emotional undercurrents within your home.
It is easy for you to unconsciously take on your parents’ expectations, as you want to be obedient and conform to the family structure. Yet at the end of the day you must tread your own path. As you get older the action-oriented qualities of this sign should push you out into the world, to find your own identity on your own terms.
The Gift of Cancer Rising.
For greatest success, you need to understand how the ebb and flow of your own inner cycles, letting intuition guide you. Your sense of rhythm and timing will lead you to where you need to go. The accuracy of your often precise instincts is a great asset, and your intuitive hunches will almost always be spot on.
Trust your feelings and learn to decipher between what is real information and what is just an emotional response. In time you will learn that intuition is a higher form of knowledge and your feelings are in fact your sharpest tool.
LEO RISING.
Born with Leo on your Ascendant (or Rising) you are likely to find that a sense of authority and the opportunity for creative self-expression is necessary if your are to maintain your selfhood.
Accordingly, you will have your own unique or special way of doing this.
Your talents need to be developed so that they can grow.
In many ways, when Leo rises your task in life is to shine!
There is a strong need to be “somebody” – to feel important and respected somehow.
You will either grow in greater confidence and warmth of expression as you share your generous spirit with others, or develop a tendency toward affectation and extravagance which belies an underlying insecurity.
Much depends on the choices that you make.
Healthy Attention.
If Leo is your Ascendant you are likely to need attention and approval from others, so you are better off to admit that from the outset. The need to stand out in your own right is paramount. You have extraordinary reserves of creativity and love that need an outlet. Following your heart and exploring your passions will help you bring these gifts to the fore.
Once you feel you are getting the recognition you deserve then you can become a great source of fun, inspiration and leadership. Doing what you love brings your best qualities to the fore.
Larger than Life.
Just like the sun itself, you are likely to be fixed in focus -appearing constant and reliable, with a cheerful disposition that uplifts others. Life is to be enjoyed, and you may feel the need to live in a grand manner, befitting your “special” status. Or you may be happy with simple surroundings, but will make the effort to ensure there is plenty of time for pleasure, romance or fun.
In some ways you are likely to have a larger-than-life attitude. You are all about grand gestures, big dreams and stunning vistas. You are also likely to be a capable and demanding authority figure, well suited to leadership and managerial positions. Others respond well to your kindness, sense of fun, faith and optimism. As a rule, you tend to be proud, are sometimes insecure despite your capabilities, and hate above all else to be criticized.
As Leo is the sign of royalty, there may be a tendency to at times expect “the royal treatment” – indulgences befitting a personage of such elevated “status”. If not received, your temper tends to flare.
Overblown displays of outrage brought on by wounded pride can mask deep insecurities. The fear of ‘not being recognized’ easily becomes sullenness if you don’t feel that you are receiving your due.
A Born Leader.
The need for comfort and luxury is likely to lead you to work very hard for success. Your love of recognition makes achievement even more important for you. This is fine as long as you don’t work too hard, neglecting the family and friends who are after all your main audience and support crew. Give them their due attention and they will be there for you on the occasional day that you are down.
You are naturally here to lead in some way, but need to learn that leadership involves sharing command. Finding out what makes others special and unique helps you incorporate them into your plans. You must learn to temper your urge to fulfill your own potential by learning to appreciate and accept the contribution that every body makes to the whole, of which we are all a part.
Beware you don’t treat others with disdain or disrespect. You are so inclined to do things your own way, you may look down your nose, so to speak, at others who do not do things as you would. People will follow you gladly if you treat them with respect.
Scorn them, and they may leave you all alone, which is precisely the situation you fear. You need an audience or form of feedback to know you are performing at your best.
Turn Talents into Strengths.
When young you may have trouble adjusting your expectations to the actual circumstances of your life, but over time you will learn how to find the magic in the every day and the best in the people around you. Recognize where your talents lie and turn them into strengths. This means spending the time required to be your best and make the most of your unique gifts.
A positive statement for Leo rising is to affirm “I have the right to express my unique, individual creativity and spirit, and can do that without denying others the right to express theirs.”
The Gift Of Leo Rising.
It is important that you feel comfortable enough to show others who you really are, without demanding validation. Then you can shine from the uniqueness of your own creative spirit, bringing joy light and laughter to every situation in which you a part. You bring organizational and leadership qualities to any endeavour, with a natural flair for drama, creativity and fun.
VIRGO RISING.
Born with with Virgo on your Ascendant (or Rising), you are likely to view the world through the lens of mental analysis, with a view toward organization.
You have strong critical faculties and need to find practical outlets for your skills, talents and abilities.
Typically humble and at times self-effacing, you are likely be more concerned with being useful than being recognized.
You need to be productive – to be of service somehow – and your chosen career will typically give you the opportunity to experience best employ your skills.
You are likely to be practical, capable and dexterous.
You may be very good with facts, figures and details.
You may also be quite hard on yourself because of early childhood experiences, and need to learn to recognize and appreciate your talents.
The Urge For Service.
When your Ascendant is Virgo, you are usually willing to assist and be of service to others. Unless other chart factors dominate, you are likely to be hardworking, conscientious and studious. You like to know your place in the wider scheme, and feel most comfortable with a plan in place.
Cleanliness and order are often very important, as is the need to be systematic. You are likely to be good at solving problems, and will do well in any situation that requires you to work through an issue or challenge in a linear, demonstrable way.
A Tendency Toward Criticism.
Despite your abilities, you are likely to be tough on yourself, with a tendency to worry. If you do not perform tasks to an imagined standard of perfection you can be very self-critical. Your tendency to worry may undermine your nervous system, and the uncertainty of too much change can take a heavy toll.
On the way to realising your potential you may need to overcome a crippling lack of self-confidence. Virgo rising is often associated with a tendency to self-censor and self-criticize that can be debilitating. You may inwardly question and criticize every move that you make, leading to extreme levels of anxiety, and even chronic illness, if the impact on your nervous system becomes too much.
A Sensitive Constitution.
You may a have delicate constitution, and need to take extra care of your physical body. Your health, and especially digestion, is easily affected by negative thoughts and emotions. When anxious you will second-guess yourself. You may find yourself easily overwhelmed so that stress gets confused with logical analysis.
This confusion amplifies your tendency to self-doubt, and you should perhaps get feedback from others when you are spiralling down a mental sinkhole. Learning to praise, rather than criticize, your own talents is a great step forward. Developing a sense of purpose through being of assistance can work wonders.
Instead of trying to be perfect, perhaps you should aim instead to simply be better?
You may be very particular about food, which reflects your delicate nervous system. Learn to listen to your body and take care of your health, but watch out for tendencies to worry about your wellbeing as a substitute for something better to do!
Taking care of your self is a smart choice, and you will benefit greatly by incorporating a healthy diet, workable routines and natural therapies that can assist wellness. Regular practices such as yoga and meditation that work to synthesise mind/body focus are especially useful for you.
Discernment and Discrimination.
Whilst you enjoy doing things for others, you may have a need to try and control outcomes. This will be based on an innate fear of chaos or potential lack of order. You should make an effort to relax and welcome the input of other people. Look for people and experiences that can teach you how to flow, trusting in the natural rhythms of life without trying to preempt every outcome.
Virgo is associated with the assimilation of experience. This occurs through trial and analysis, through discernment and discrimination. Use the processes of metabolism and digestion as metaphors for your own approach to life, and in this way can learn to see any imbalances within your own body as perhaps symptomatic of an imbalance in how you are assimilating your experiences. Once you connect your fine sense of discrimination with your practical sensibility you can be of service to yourself and others in an unlimited numbers of ways.
The Gift of Virgo Rising.
At your best, you can be supportive, nurturing and stable helping others achieve practical outcomes. In this way, your sense of discernment, practicality and willingness to serve rises to the fore, adding purpose and fulfilment to your life. You do best with partners and friends who uplift you, helping you see the bigger picture behind immediate appearances.

How Self-Esteem Develops
We are not born already being able to accurately assess the world and ourselves. Self-reflection is something a child starts developing as they become self-aware and develop a stronger sense of self.
In order for a child to develop a healthy and accurate self-esteem, they need mirroring, attunement, and validation from the caregiver. If the child doesn‘t get enough of it, their ability to self-assess is stunted or even damaged.
A big factor in the development of our self-esteem is the fact that as children we are dependent on our caregivers. By the nature of it, our early self-perception is mostly shaped by how we are seen by our primary caregivers and other authority figures. We internalize other people‘s perception of us and eventually it becomes our self-image.
All of this means that if our early environment provides a skewed perception of us, we develop a skewed self-esteem. This impacts our lives as the issues that stem from it follow us into our adulthoods and sometimes last a lifetime.
These issues manifest themselves on many levels: intellectual (false beliefs, magical thinking, unrealistic standards), emotional (depression, chronic shame and guilt), or behavioral (addiction, self-loathing or destructive behavior).
Below, we will explore five common self-esteem issues people have. Some of them you may notice in yourself while others may apply to people you know or have observed.
1. Never Feeling Good Enough
A lot of people grow up feeling that they are not good enough. If as children we are treated unfairly, like we are worthless or not good enough, then we may grow up believing that we are never enough.
Often such a belief stems from being held to unrealistic standards (perfectionism), being compared to others, and generally mistreated.
Growing up with such a mindset leads us to believe that whatever we are doing is not good enough, that we always have to do more, that we can never relax, and many other false thoughts.
2. Self-Erasure
Many people are raised to take care of others and undermine their own needs, wants, preferences, emotions, and goals. Many caregivers wittingly or unwittingly see their child as someone who supposed to meet many of their needs (role reversal).
As a result of such an environment, the child, and later the adult-child, learns to self-sacrifice and self-erase. This leads to strong people-pleasing tendencies, poor self-care, aimlessness, emotional confusion, the inability so say “no,” and detachment from self.
3. Lack of self-love and self-care
People who tend to underestimate themselves often suffer from poor self-care because they lacked love and care growing up. As I write in my book Human Development and Trauma: How Our Childhood Shapes Us Into Who We Are as Adults, “Children who were not properly cared for and didn’t have good examples of self-loving, self-responsible, healthy caregivers often grow up into adults who have difficulties taking care of themselves.“
So now such a person consciously or unconsciously believes that they are unworthy of love and of getting their needs met. Sometimes it comes down to poor self-care skills, but often it comes from a deeper psychological belief that you are not important enough, that you are not worthy of it, that you can’t have it, or that you don’t matter.
A person who believes all of that, then, acts in a self-neglectful or even self-destructive and self-sabotaging manner. Childhood neglect leads to self-neglect.
4. Strong Narcissistic Tendencies
People who strongly over-estimate themselves usually fall into a category that is referred to as narcissism, psychopathy, or sociopathy. While these tendencies are on a wide spectrum, they have certain things in common.
Most common characteristics of a highly narcissistic person are insecurity, poor emotional regulation, black and white thinking, seeing others as objects, self-absorption, manipulation, superficial charm, constant seeking for attention and social status, fakeness, confusion and inconsistency, pseudo-virtuousness, chronic lying and deception, projection, callousness, and a lack of self.
For the most part, narcissistic and otherwise toxic tendencies are defense mechanisms, or adaptations, that a person developed to adapt to their painful and otherwise unbearable environment.
They are extremely difficult to heal because, one, narcissists lack the very self-awareness that is necessary to change; and two, because many of these behaviors and character traits are often socially rewarded, hence there is little or even no incentive to change.
5. Social Anxiety and Psychological Dependency
Since we are highly influenced by others while growing up, many of us grow up being overly sensitive to other people’s perceptions of us. This manifests itself in numerous anxious thoughts and beliefs later in life: “What if they think I’m stupid?” “They think I’m ugly.” “What can I do for them to like me?” “What if they will think I’m a bad person?” “I don’t want to appear weak.” And so on.
A lot of people are dependent on other people’s validation and opinions. They either seek positive validation, or try to avoid disapproval and invalidation. This psychological dependency on others creates a lot of social anxiety and often results in dysfunctional behavior.
Summary and Closing Words
Self-esteem is a crucial element in our mental health and our overall well-being. How we see ourselves is significantly shaped by our early environment and our relationships with our primary caregivers. Later, it also involves other authority figures, peers, and similar influencers.
The more accurately we see ourselves, the more accurate our self-esteem is. As children, we start internalizing how others see us, and it becomes our self-perception. In many cases and in many aspects, this self-image is significantly skewed, which results in numerous psychological, emotional, and behavioral problems.
As adults, we can explore our self-perception and our ability to evaluate ourselves. Then we can correct the things that are untrue and problematic and develop a healthier self-esteem.

Pile Three: Red Healer Quartz
Tumblr media
1. Soul Gift: What you came here to express and share with the world.
*We  the Hathors: Deep love. Mother's milk. Birth is a portal.
*Break the Chain: Ancestral patterns. Healing. Rewriting the future.
*Get Wild
*Soul Song
Tumblr media
You came here to express your wild side and give life to different yet beautiful creations. You came to break the chains of your family patterns and do something so totally different and wonderous that it will change your family dynamics for future generations. Whatever your soul sings about, that is whatever it is that calls to you and makes you happy, is what you are meant to express and share. You could very well be a parent but raise your children much differently than your parents raised you. You could be a natural born singer or song writer, giving life to new music that you will share with the world. Whatever the case may be you are meant to breathe new life into this world whether that is in a literal or metaphorical sense. The things you create will be wild and amazing, and sharing these things with the world will help to open the mind of the collective, challenging outdated views and replacing them with new, more flexible ideals. So dive into that wild side of yours and bring your amazing ideas to life!
2. Karmic Wound: What you came here to heal.
*Whale and Orca Elders: Share your song. Frequency of sound. Diving deep.
*Starseed: What lights you up?
*Nature
*Variance
Tumblr media
In past lives you have followed the same kind of path as you are now, one where you are called to share your unique song with the world. The difference here is that within your past lives, you gave in to the pressures of society eventually, giving up on your soul dreams. In this life you are meant to heal that wound and push beyond, sharing your creations with the world without hesitation or fear of judgement. For you, being out in nature is the best way to ground and heal your energies. You could very well already have a favorite spot within nature that you like to retreat to when things get a little too hectic within your life. If you do not, you would be doing yourself a great justice by finding a happy, calm place within nature that resonates with you on a soul level. You could even have multiple places that bring you grounding energies, each one for different reasons. One place may bring you peace and calm, somewhere else may bring you a feeling of passion and inspiration, yet another place may bring you warm, friendly vibes connecting you with your soul family on a spiritual level. There are so many variants of how different locations within nature can heal you in different ways. The bottom line is that nature plays a major role in your healing process. Connect with the Earth and her elements as much as you can when you feel that your life is off-balance.
3. Life Lessons: What you came here to learn.
*The Void: Stop. Embrace winter. Great cosmic womb.
*Get Grounded: Empaths. Highly sensitives. Connect with Nature.
*Love
*Soul Name
Tumblr media
You came here to learn how to embrace the seemingly slower times within life, the times when things are in the process of creation, but not yet ready to be birthed. You are learning patience with all things, but especially within yourself. The things that you bring to life take love and nurturing. And those things need time in order to cultivate properly. You are learning that love is the highest vibration that you can attune to and the most powerful fertilizer for your mental garden. The more love you use, the more potent and authentic your creations will be, attracting more abundance to you. You are learning to ground yourself within nature in order to harness and direct this warm, loving energy to all aspects of your life. You are also learning what things truly feel right for you. You could discover that a name that you were not given at birth suits you better, you could possibly be building a name brand of your own with your creations, or the names that you give your creations could play a big role. Whatever the case may be, you are learning the importance of naming things from the soul and how their meanings touch your life in significant ways.
4. Current Obstacle: The thing that's challenging you the most.
*Baby Steps: Action. Follow your intuition before it makes sense.
*Take a Break: A life's work, not a season. Get off the treadmill.
*Transmute
*You Are the Universe
Tumblr media
A big obstacle for you is following that gut feeling without having any evidence that your actions will be fruitful. You sometimes feel like you need to see guaranteed results or you may not take the risk to go after something. But deep down you know that your inner voice is never wrong and always leads you the right way, even if the actions you take seem ridiculous or risky, things always work out for your best interest as long as you are following your true happiness. You are the Universe and the Universe is you, so as long as you support your dreams, the Universe will support you and help you to transmute your life into how you envision it to be. Another hurtle that is hard for you is learning when to take a break. You're naturally a very hard working person and perhaps you were taught that you need to work hard to achieve what you want in life. While focused passion is definitely helpful to success, "working hard" by running yourself ragged is not. Learn to listen to your body and take breaks when you need them. Recharge the batteries so that you can work at your full, attentive capacity rather than running on empty and chancing making mistakes or wearing yourself out to the point of burnout. This includes more than just physical work, it includes mental and spiritual as well. Do you get tired in the middle of the day for seemingly no reason? Do you have headaches that tend to hit you out of nowhere? Do you find yourself unable to focus on things that usually hold your interest quite well? These are all signs of mental fatigue and suggest that you need some serious relaxation and rest. Incorporate more self care routines into your week. Make the time to take care of you, you'll thank yourself later.
5. Soul Calling: What your soul is calling you toward.
*Cracked Open: Rock bottom. Surrender to the alchemy of life.
*The Great Gathering: It's all coming together. Intuitive hits. Soul tribe.
*Paradox
*Soul Family
Tumblr media
What your soul is calling you towards is a paradox of sorts: Hitting rock bottom will actually lead to you rising higher than you ever have been before. Cutting off toxic relationships within your life or changing the boundaries around them to be more healthy, especially with your close friends and family will attract your true family. Your soul family. You are being pulled towards making the right connections with people and fixing the unhealthy ones as best you can. Set your boundaries. Your true family and friends will respect your decision and adhere to your personal rules. People who are not meant to journey with you at this time are the ones who will poke, prod, test, try to destroy, or even just blatantly ignore your boundaries. Boundary setting is a sure-fire way to weed out the toxic environments from your life. Revealing who may not be there for you when you were hopeful that they would be could feel like hitting rock bottom. But remember that just because those people do not have the capacity to support you and your dreams right now doesn't mean that nobody supports you. Your soul family will always have love and support for you and your dreams, no matter who you decide to be or what you decide to do. So don't be afraid to stand up for yourself and show your true colors.
6. Guidance Message from your Spiritual Team
*Sovereign of Coins
*You Deserve to be Seen: We each have a desire to be seen, heard, and known. These are natural desires that are crucial to our wellbeing and the embodiment of our true self. It is nothing to be ashamed of. Give yourself the gift of being seen, heard, and known by yourself and by others who appreciate you, allowing yourself to take up the space you need.
*Reconciliation
*Stay strong, be a guiding light. Ground yourself, be love.

You are meant to live a more than comfortable life with the abundance to do so coming from the creations you put out into the world. You and your work are meant to be well-known, seen and loved by many. Throughout this journey you will come across those who may throw some negativity your way, such as those who say "that will never work" or that your dreams are "unrealistic". The underlying message here is that these types of people are actually jealous of those who go after what they want because they themselves feel like they cannot do the same, they feel trapped in a certain way of life, like they can't do anything differently. So they take it out on others who broke free from this mentality that they are stuck in. Most of the time these snide comments come from somewhere deep like this and are the manifestation of these people's subconscious thoughts. So no matter who you come across on your journey, no matter what possible negativity they try to say to you, remain strong and respond in the energy of love. Be a guiding light to others with how you respond to negativity with happiness and love, not with more negativity. What someone says about you is generally a reflection of themselves, so the best thing you can do is wish these people peace and happiness and move on. Stay confident in who you are and remember that you and your creations deserve to be seen, known, and loved.

Language Of Birthdays: January 7 - Capricorn
[You can find the rest of the series here; or check out my masterlist]
The Day Of Unusual Interests
January 7 people often show a decided interest in highly unusual subjects. Perhaps this is because they are rather unusual characters themselves. More than most people, those born on this day have an idiosyncratic approach to many aspects of daily life. Whether through a sense of irony, a piercing insight into human character or just a capacity to observe life around them without fixed preconceptions, January 7 people see much that escapes others.
January 7 people are not likely to be overly surprised by the foibles and peculiarities of those they meet, nor by the uniqueness of experience or natural phenomena. Not that they are jaded, because they usually continue to appreciate and learn from what life has to offer. Where people are concerned, they realize that even the most seemingly ordinary folks share in the richness and variety, the wonder of life, or the fantasies and strange dreams of the unconscious. Indeed, those born on this day often understand how such matters impact on human behavior and habits. In regard to natural phenomena, January 7 people tend to see the interconnected- ness of things, and therefore more easily accept the coincidences, accidents and "unexplainable" occurrences they encounter.
Those born on this day are often rather nervous types, highly sensitive to their environment. They can pick up on the energy around them very quickly, and in particular feel negativity keenly. Indeed January 7 people may be a bit too receptive. It is therefore important that those born on this day insulate themselves from volatile, extreme or disturbing elements around them. In this regard, they tend to do better when their work life is steady and their love life is stable.
Because January 7 people so often see the unusual in the ordinary, they may not feel that the "bizarre" or "abnormal" is a collection of isolated or strange entities but in fact an integral part of nature and man, the flip-side of the so-called "normal" world. At least, for practical reasons, however, those born on this day should remain attuned to the conventions of society and the general flow of ideas and trends.
Furthermore, they should remember that though every person is a part of the wonder of life, not everyone has such a unique appreciation of it, nor does everyone wish to live intensely. For this reason, those born on January 7 should try to reserve their more imaginative, unique side for those who truly appreciate it, and should actively seek out friends and associates who share their interests and heightened curiosity.

Advice
Because of their sensitivity to their environment. January 7 people, as mentioned, can be a bit nervous, and therefore may be prone to allergies or fatigue. Highly balanced diets are recommended to keep bodily systems on track, particularly grains, earthy vegetables, breads and moderate amounts of meat or substitute proteins such as tofu, nuts and legumes. Grounding physical energies is also important, and therefore vigorous daily exercise is recommended, but if this is not possible then yoga or stretching can be beneficial as well. Particularly with advancing age. those born on this day should keep active, as they may be vulnerable to rheumatic or arthritic conditions. Plenty of sleep is necessary for January 7 people to work out their fantasies in the world of the unconscious, but should not become a means of escape from responsibilities or emotional concerns.
