Planetary Significations |||
Heya folks! For this series we'll be diving into each planet and simplifying to one word.
From there, we'll expand and explore all the different expressions of the planet according to the keyword. I'll provide a list of other significations as well.
VENUS - Beauty
Tumblr media
Significations:
Beauty
Values/Self-Esteem
Money
Devotion
Relationships
Art/Creativity
Pleasure
Personal Attraction
Sexuality
Magnetism
Aesthetics
Love, Love Language
Now let's explore how beauty connects to all of these significations.
First, we beg the question. What is beauty? Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Therein implies the value aspect of Venus and how our experience of beauty is subjective**. We determine something’s value by measuring how much it pleases us.
Which connects to the pleasure aspect of Venus. Beauty is pleasing. It makes us feel good. So Venus represents what pleases us.
What we deem beautiful usually has an aesthetic value. So Venus is about aesthetics; how information is arranged in ways that please the eye. We see how Venus can connect to our personal style or how we clothe ourselves.
We also consider art beautiful, material things are beautiful, so Venus can concerns the realms of beauty in relation to creativity and art.
What we deem beautiful, we spend our money on. We devote our resources to it. There’s the financial aspect of Venus.
This theme of value can stretch in many different ways then. What is beautiful has value, so are we beautiful? Do we see our own value? Most importantly, how do we cultivate sustainable "beauty"? It's through our self-esteem and our values. These cultivate our intrinsic worth. One of the most important lessons of Venus is this.
Moving on, what we deem beautiful, we also tend to devote ourselves to and worship. Think of men raptured by the divine feminine or how our society treats beautiful people! The question Venus asks is how do we serve and please that which we find beautiful? What we find beautiful we often develop an attraction towards or love for. Another theme emerges there: how do we love? How do we show our love and our devotion? Here is the relationship/love language aspect of Venus.
Beauty also implies attraction. So Venus is about what and who we are attracted to, who we are attracted to, and who/what we attract towards us!
If we stop at the superficial aspects of Venus, we lose the lessons, of which I believe there are mainly two.
Pleasure is a pathway into the body, and the body is the soul. Sex, food, art, wine, all of these pleasurable items is a means of connection. This is not a sign to over-indulge or resist temptation but to be conscious. Our sense of material pleasure/satisfaction is what can ground us and connect us to others! Just do not abuse it!
Interrogate the true meaning of beauty. As a natal Venus rx, this has been a life theme for me. It sits on my 12th House, a place I believe strips native planets of their superficial qualities to reveal the gems underneath. This has been what I've gleaned from my experiences. Beauty is both the superficial and the intrinsic. It's the fancy cars and those integral values. They mirror each other. Build that inner worth and your outer reality will begin to reflect beauty and wealth back to you. Beauty allows us to love intentionally which then connects us to the world in an even deeper way. We are all love.
That's all folks! This is how I simplify astrology so that it is easier for me to understand. If you made it all the way here, I thank you for reading! Until the next one.

disclaimer for interpreting placements 🍊
Tumblr media
I’ve been making astrology observations on blogs for a while and it still amazes me when myself or another astrology lover makes an observation on a placement and people jump to say “tHaT’s NoT tRuE!” 🥴. Babe…it is well known in astrology that nothing and I repeat NOTHING will apply to every single placement. You’re not the exception or a unicorn. That’s life. That’s astrology. You have to take into account personal life experience, degrees, aspects, house placements- all that stuff. So no, just because you’re an Aquarius moon doesn’t mean your parents or even your mother abandoned you emotionally. Can that manifest? Hell yeah! But it’s not a prerequisite for being an Aquarius moon.
As a Capricorn moon, I see people talking out of their asses about us ALL the time! Proclaiming stuff that has never been true a day in my Capricorn moon life. You know how I deal? I SCROLL. I scroll past anything that I KNOW can’t be talking about me. Even if they mention a placement I have, I know it’s not true. The problem is when you attach your EGO to astrology and you feel the need to defend every thing that you perceive is coming against you. Babe, no one has a personal vendetta toward you. They’re simply projecting their own experiences. The end. If it doesn’t apply, mind your business and keep it to pushing. It amazes me this still needs to be said but alas…
And this is not coming from a “holier than thou” perspective. I’m saying this cause I used to do the EXACT SAME THING! I would get so offended simply scrolling and seeing a post that mentioned something “bad” about a placement I have. That will do nothing but ruin your astro experience and exhaust you. Plus, you don’t always have to be right or try to prove someone wrong! That alone is not worth your energy. In an attempt to salvage your own unique experience, you can’t take everything you hear or read to heart.
Something can not be true for YOU, and still be true for ANOTHER person! Crazy concept right? Please, if you want to truly enjoy astrology and learn something new, you have to remove your ego. 🧡
Lovingly,
astro enthusiast. 🦁

The signs in sequential order through the experience of childhood
Aries- Here I am, world! A spirit life hasn’t yet cultivated enough for me to question what I am, my innate being is pure and uncorrupted. 🔥
Taurus- Oh damn, I have a body, and it has material needs. How do I secure those? (Probably titties, or something that looks like them and also brings comfort and nourishment😂)
Gemini- Now that I can walk it’s time to familiarize myself with all these sources of information in my environment. I am learning so much!
Cancer- Being able to walk away from mom also means realizing for the first time that I am separate from her. How do I manage these emotions? 🥹
Leo- Yeah I’m separate, I’m my own person and it’s actually an amazing thing! Don’t try to tell me how to express MYSELF!
Virgo- Turns out the independence I want also involves learning myself how to do some task(s) grown ups have been doing for me. Taking care of myself makes me feel like a big kid.
Libra- Now that I see myself as an individual, I’m starting to become aware that others have individual experiences too. This opens up a whole world of new considerations for me.
Scorpio- This is my first experience with losing a part of who I am because of the growth in my awareness of others. This will be the same energy that helps me to reclaim what was buried, somewhere down the line.
Sagittarius- I’ve learned a lot about the world by now, and also become aware that each person is an individual. So how do I view topics that don’t come with universal answers? What are some things I believe?
Capricorn- Knowing how I view things makes me start to think about what I could build in my life. What might be my ideal job or purpose someday? The homework is also increasing so I’m coming face to face with how responsibility can feel like it restricts me.
Aquarius- I’ve learned enough about myself by now to have high awareness of how I bring my self expression to a group. I’m in a messy process of figuring out how I can be an individual, within a group. I may experience poignant alienation at this stage.
Pisces- The alienation I experienced made me start noticing others who experience it too. I went from never even considering I was separate from anything else, to embarking on a thorough journey with many mileposts discovering my individuality, to reaching this mature awareness of some realities of this human existence, that connect all individuals.

Pluto in first house - some observations about this interesting placement
What planets are responsible for dark academia vibes? Generally I've found pluto is a major player which is why I do quite a lot of pluto related posts on here. The other main ones are saturn, mars (oddly enough, but academia can be cutthroat), and uranus. Neptune can be to an extent but not as much and mostly points towards humanities and liberal arts.
I noticed that at least two people ( @augustinerose @auroraplume) who commented on one of my previous posts had pluto in the first house. Thanks to you both for the support and hope you don't mind me shouting you out here!Pluto is a scorpionic planet, but the first house is one of the less scorpionic houses. I personally have pluto in the fourth house which is interesting too as the fourth house is one you would think stereotypically is not very plutonic or scorpionic in any way. Like the first house it can indicate interesting hidden stuff that you might not expect.
So in honour of spotting these weird patterns and interesting aspects I've done another little pluto breakdown here:
Generally any time pluto or any other 'occult' outer planet is in a house that you wouldn't expect it to go with, expect interesting patterns to be revealed. For example:
Pluto in first house: can indicate something cryptic, occult, or hidden to do with image and identity
At it's most literal level it can indicate a job or social role related to the occult. For example someone who is a spy, criminologist, works in government, tarot reader, astrologer, works in data, or so on. Anything that involves dealing with large volumes of info where there may be hidden stuff. Yet can also indicate the job itself is hidden such as someone who has a day job and moonlights as something else, or someone who is hiding their line of work because their peers or family don't approve (such as someone who wants to become a musician, poet, actor or suchlike but faces social pressure)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tumblr media
If not your job it can also point to core aspects that may be hidden or occult. This CAN be a placement of clairsentience, paranormal, and psychic happenings but doesn't have to be. It can also indicate parapsychology or a family history of haunted places, secrets, or so on. It can ALSO indicate the closet. This can be the closet to do with gender or sexuality but also to do with other core aspects of ourselves such as potentially masking neurodivergencies or even simply hiding events or occurances that have had a formative impact on us.
Tumblr media
At a more metaphorical level here are some random things this placement can point to:
• unpublished work
• secret diaries
• drastic curveballs in life (e.g. discovery of long lost relatives)
• 'social chameleon' personality
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tumblr media
How does Pluto compare with other first house placements?
• tends to be deeper, more sinister, and more visceral than uranus and neptune in the first house. There is a genuine occult and slightly dangerous element to pluto in first house vs uranus, which can indicate lots of changes in life but ones that are within our control, pluto can indicate changes and wildcard events that are outside our control
• can be very go getting, socially shrewd, and a 'dark horse' but in a much less obvious way than mars. Mars in the first house can be assertive and successful but this tends to happen in a public or leadership role. if mars is the emperor, pluto in the first house is the power behind the throne. combine the two in the first house and you can end up with a personality that is revolutionary and controversial in leadership positions. this doesn't have to indicate world changing stuff it just could indicate a smart but controversial musician or leader of a band or director of a film - a head of department who makes polarising decisions for their subordinates etc - either way, these are people to look out for and keep on your side.
Tumblr media
• pluto vs venus - venus will have an obvious aesthetic that they demonstrate physically. pluto in first house may not or may have very different aspects of their identity, for example living a normal life and then travelling abroad on a shoestring but without telling anyone. you may enter the home of someone with pluto in the first house and be surprised at what you find, such as a strange collection, or huge investment like an eccentric hobby, but not as much visible luxury as venus
• mercury in the first house may find thenselves in a role with lots of data or communications but has less access to the hidden side of affairs. for example - mercury will find themselves as the presenter of a tv show, youtube channel, or podcast. pluto will be on the editing team and responsible for a sustained social media campaign to push the channel. lots of access to people's data.
• pluto and saturn in first house can have similar tastes depending on their environment. in universities, college, and so on they may both be heavily involved with faculty and alma mater history but for very different reasons. saturn will preserve the traditions for traditions sake. pluto will investigate the history of a secret society, controversial book or paper, or unusual theory. may both like old varnished wooden furnishings and dark heavy fabrics, but for pluto it's much more of an aesthetic. Pluto could be an indiana Jones extra. Saturn is more likely to be a member of Hogwarts faculty.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tumblr media
Another random pluto fact:
Pluto in the first house makes for one of the most intriguing and unpredictable charts. It is honestly very hard to tell much about the lives these people may lead from their chart, even when other placements are accounted for.
You may have to look at multiple different placements as well as the aspects and other interactions of the chart. Even then there can be many layers as to how events play out. Events like the solar, saturn, and lunar return are very important to make sense of these charts. It can help to do a tarot reading to clarify.
• chalcedony (pictured) can be a good crystal for these people or any pluto related energy
For more of this vibe please check out my post on dream symbolism here! I'm planning on doing a lot more astrology and dream symbolism posts, which should be pretty fun :P
I'm also doing a free reading giveaway on my etsy (or basically free - please click the 50p option as unfortunately I couldn't set it at £0) at the moment just as I'm looking for feedback and interested in interacting with more people, especially at the intersection of astro and mbti 🦋
Leo rising in depth
Was encouraged to be in the spotlight. They could have been the 1st born. When first meeting them you may feel like they’ve got it all together.. they could be loud and proud and put on a performance even though they may just be “faking it, until they make it”. If they have their sun in the 4H, 8H, or 12H these people will be more reserved and shy. However, they’ll still have an allure about them, you’ll want to know them. They are relatable. They haven’t had the easiest upbringing. There could have been physical or psychological abuse. There could have been an undercurrent of chaos below the surface that no one else was aware of but the people in their immediate house hold. They’re mother could have passed away, or they felt a disconnect early on making them feel insecure or unsafe with women or the thought of motherhood of their own. Tedious tasks may have overburdened them. If they had a highly developed mother, this could be their healer.. they could learn how to understand their innate wounding and heal throughout their life with their mothers help. Their family transforms them and future generations. They are attracted to people who dance to the beat of their own drum. They respect and admire leaders who care about humanity. They want someone who thinks open mind-idly, who voices their unique ideas and who is quick witted and objective. They could also find the people they attract into their lives abrasive, too opinionated, too aloof, too extreme or too freedom loving. They may enjoy gardening, real estate, holistic remedies, simple comforts. They’re drawn to be more self reliant, self made, self preserving. Making other peoples lives more comfortable through productivity, nutrition, living a more grounded, eco friendly life will help add to their achievements and feelings of success in the world.
Speaking from the heart and inspiring others through your creativity will help you feel whole.
*currently reading Venus & Jupiter - Erin Sullivan*
I wanna talk about these two sentences I just read bc I feel like they’re so true for me!
First: “Venus-Jupiter is deeply aware of the disappointments that happen between people whose fundamental beliefs, ethics or philosophy are not harmonious.”
The whole reason I’m reading this book is bc I have Venus sextile Jupiter and I wanted to understand it more. This sentence!!! I can’t even count how many times this conversation has come up for me! I am very quick to dismiss people, especially romantically, if they don’t believe the same as me for what I think is serious in society. And people will be like oh you have to be open to hearing and understanding different points of view! I don’t have to do shit 😂 I heard what I needed to hear and that’s it! As a Libra pretty much everything I believe that deeply has gotten to that point AFTER I’ve already seen the different POVs. I didn’t just wake up like ✨ I think I’ll believe in this today ✨ so if you’re not on the same page as me there’s no future beyond this moment!
I know many women in my life who are in relationships with people that have questionable views and they chose to “look past it” but from the outside you can tell that all the issues in the relationship boil down to the mindset that made that person have these questionable views that they looked past lol all these “solutions” are just painting the red flags green 🤷🏾‍♀️
Second: “Someone with a Jupiter-Venus sextile once said to me that the thing they most feared was a sordid life.”
Tumblr media
Bruh!! I get physically heated when people are immoral 😩😩 and sometimes I can just feel it from them and I have to stop being around that! One of the people I hate the most on this earth are scammers!!! They serve absolutely no purpose to society! My friend’s cousin started coming out with us more and I could not understand why I felt so weird about her bc she hadn’t done anything to me and I even was like omg am I being classist?? Nope! Come to find out she is a credit card scammer 😭😭 I could feel it!
I have 4 Yod aspects in my chart, would you be able to give more insight on Yods in general?
Hi! Absolutely, I'd love to.
A short introduction just in case someone else reading this isn't sure what we're talking about here: a Yod is an aspect pattern that consists of two inconjunct aspects (150 degrees) and one sextile aspect (60 degrees). It is formed when two planets are in a sextile aspect to each other and both form an inconjunct aspect to a third planet. I would advise heavily against using points and steroids when looking for a Yod. To take it a step further, I'd only allow personal (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars) and social (Jupiter and Saturn) planets and an orb of 2 degrees for the inconjunctions and 4 degrees for the sextile. However, I'll also make some examples with generational planets just so we can get a better feel of this energy.
The formation is a narrow, elongated triangle, with the third planet at the apex of the triangle - this is the "finger" of the Yod and also the focal planet.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Yod is a rare and powerful aspect pattern because it involves three planets that are in a complex and dynamic relationship with each other. It's a symbol of spiritual growth and evolution, as it represents a point of tension and challenge that can lead to profound growth and transformation.
Yods are seen as indicators of the soul's evolutionary journey. They are symbols of karmic patterns that need to be resolved in order for the soul to evolve and grow. The placement of the yod in the natal chart will provide further insight into a native's soul purpose and the challenges they need to overcome in order to achieve it.
Example 1: if a native has a Yod involving the Moon, Uranus, and Pluto, it may indicate a need to resolve past life patterns related to emotional (Moon) intensity, rebellion (Uranus), and transformation (Pluto). The challenge would be to find a way to integrate these energies and use them in a positive and constructive way, rather than being overwhelmed by them.
Yods are also symbols of spiritual potential and transformation. They are indicators of a native's spiritual gifts and talents, as well as the challenges they need to overcome in order to fully realize their potential.
Example 2: if a native has a Yod involving the Sun, Neptune, and Pluto, it may indicate a need to develop their spiritual gifts and talents in a way that is aligned with their soul purpose. The challenge would be to overcome any illusions or delusions that may be blocking their path and to use their spiritual gifts in a way that is aligned with their highest good and the good of others.
I talk about all the important configurations in my astrology book btw. It's very affordable and aims to give you all the needed basic skills to understand the foundations of natal astrology.
Interpreting Yods is actually pretty challenging because of the very complex dynamics they involve. Here are two things to consider:
First, it is important to consider the planets involved in the Yod and their placement by sign and house. This will provide valuable insight into the nature of the challenge and the area of life where it is likely to manifest.
Second, it is important to consider the sextile aspect that connects the two inconjunct planets. This can provide insight into the resources and talents that can be used to release the tension and achieve the desired growth and evolution.
North Node in Aries and South Node in Libra
So, what to expect?
This a very significant even in Astrology which occurs in every 18 months. On July 18, 2023 the Nodes of the Moon changed signs. The North Node (known also as Rahu) is currently in Aries whereas the South Node (known as Ketu) is in Libra (opposite sign). This energy is bringing a new dynamic and focus in our lives as a collective and individually.
On a collective level, tendences may be seen as more dramatic and drastic because North Node in Aries could be expressed as an anger, fights, conflicts, social unrest, rise of criminal activities. Military actions, policing or people in charge of safety, protection and security of countries; organisations, institutions or communities may get more active and involved in peoples lives, globally, for many reasons. Alliances and unions between many countries may end up for good; or existing ones need to renegotiate or adjust some terms, conditions and agreements to the current global situation.
On a positive note, this energy suggest that countries, institutions or organisations may develop new innovative strategies, especially, business/economic wise to function more independently and self-sufficiently. Actions towards making peace, fair agreements (political, economic or social) and fights for equalities (on many instances) are very likely to be a collective agenda too, for the next one and the half year. New trade unions or partnerships internationally may occur with much more innovative approach to business and diplomacy.
On a personal level, the North Node in Aries and the South Node in Libra could bring many positives in our lives, if the energy is used consciously and constructively. It is definitely an invitation to put ourselves first – ‘my desires and my goals’. It is a calling for self-expression, courage and actions towards our will and dreams; to go and get it, no matter what – a strong Aries expression and North Node – desire and obsession. The South Node in Libra, however, is asking us to let go of ‘people pleasing ’behaviour, attachments to partners, lovers or friendships which more or less are reasons for loosing our true identity by putting our personals desires somewhere at the back yard just because we ‘have to’ support others. Therefore, during this period some personal or business relationships may end up or they will exist only if each side interests and priorities are respected and even encouraged in aim both (or more) parties to grow in their evolutionary path. (North node is our future destiny and evolutionary path which we are heading to - as an individual and collective, and the South node is what we have to detach, leaving our comfort zone by taking our past knowledge and experiences which support our journey towards the North Node).
This astrological period could be very beneficial for new beginnings and ventures, especially, related to enterprise, sport, fitness; everything what requires competition and physical activities. Independent work, assertiveness, leadership, innovation and pioneering will be greatly support under this energy. If you are an activist, a lower who is fighting for injustice (of any type) this energy could bring you success and personal satisfaction. This is also a great time to set up new goals or to achieve a certain goal which was set up in the past. We may also be braver and more courageous to do things which we were afraid to do before and to take risks with the North Node in Aries. However, we may also be prone to impatience, conflicts and anger but physical/sport activities of any type could be a good way to calm this fiery , youthful energy of Aries. Be also aware of accidents and incidents, speed driving; headaches and head injuries, inflammations could be experienced too.
In general, this is a very ambitious, action taking astrological time where changes, initiatives and innovations are encouraged and supported. It’s time to express and act on your individual talent and power which could also inspire and impower others.
Keep in mind that these are GENERAL ASTROLOGICAL TENDENCIES and how exactly this energy will influence you it’s depending on your personal horoscope, but most definitely you will feel these astrological events in one way or another, especially, in some areas in your life. And remember, that singe astrological event does not represent the whole picture in a personal or on a collective level.
Best wishes
In Hellenistic astrology, Mercury is considered a significant planet that governs communication, intellect, reasoning, and the exchange of information. Here are some key points related to Mercury in a Hellenistic natal chart:
˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗Characteristics: Mercury represents the rational mind, intellect, curiosity, and communication skills. It influences how individuals process information, express themselves verbally and in writing, and engage in intellectual pursuits. Mercury also governs travel, technology, and commerce.
˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗House Placement: The house in which Mercury is located in the natal chart can indicate the areas of life where the individual excels in communication, learning, and intellectual activities. For example, Mercury in the 3rd house may suggest a strong focus on communication, learning, and local interactions, while Mercury in the 9th house could indicate an interest in higher education, philosophy, and long-distance travel.
˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗Aspects: Aspects to Mercury from other planets can provide insights into how the individual's communication style, thinking patterns, and intellectual abilities are influenced and expressed. A harmonious aspect (such as a trine or sextile) to Jupiter may indicate a love for learning, expansive thinking, and wisdom, while a challenging aspect (such as a square or opposition) to Neptune may suggest confusion, deception, or misunderstandings in communication.
˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗Rulership: In traditional astrology, Mercury rules the signs of Gemini and Virgo and is considered to be in its domicile in these signs. The qualities of Gemini, such as adaptability, curiosity, and versatility, and Virgo, such as analytical thinking, precision, and practicality, are associated with Mercury's influence. Understanding the sign in which Mercury is placed can provide additional insights into how the individual communicates and processes information.
˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗Analytical Abilities: Mercury represents analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to gather and process information. A strong and well-placed Mercury can indicate mental sharpness, quick wit, and effective communication, while a challenged or afflicted Mercury may suggest issues with communication, learning disabilities, or mental confusion that need to be addressed.
Overall, the placement of Mercury in a Hellenistic natal chart is essential for understanding an individual's communication style, intellectual abilities, reasoning skills, and how they engage with the world through information exchange and mental pursuits.
Lilith in Astrology Through the Signs and Houses
Lilith has gained significant attention in the field of astrology, captivating enthusiasts and practitioners alike. Often referred to as the “Dark Moon,” she represents a primal, untamed energy that resides within each individual. Not a physical celestial body like the Sun or Moon, Lilith is rather a hypothetical point in space. She symbolizes our deepest desires, hidden fears, and unexpressed…
⭐️ Lesser known significations of each of the planets ⭐️
Please note that with these planetary placements, the sign gives info about the style in which you conduct yourself, the house gives info about where in life you’re conducting yourself, and the aspects give info about other flavors brought up into the picture, and how your relationship with a placement affects you and fits into the rest of your consciousness/life.
Sun
Can show where/how you like to be creative or your creative gifts. The 5th house and Leo also can show this, but I don’t seem to read enough that the Sun🌞, as our creative life force, often correlates just as directly to the type of creativity or relationship with creativity someone has.
Moon
Can show your relationship with emotional empathy; how much of it you feel, where it feels strongest, how you express it, and how it affects you (this last point being seen through the aspects to your other planets). I wish to clarify that emotional empathy is feeling other people’s emotions, and it’s not the only kind of empathy. Anyone can learn to cultivate intellectual empathy, and act on empathy. But I’ve chosen to bring the subject of emotional empathy up with the Moon because so often people think how much one finds themselves feeling for others is shown by the amount of water placements in a chart. But it’s the Moon itself that actually somewhat singularly shows the most about emotional empathy. Having planets whose core functions don’t relate to our feelings and empathy in water signs, isn’t necessarily gonna make emotional empathy strong for someone. But the function of the Moon itself is to feel and to support our close interpersonal relations.
Mercury
Can give indications about your sense of humor! Mercury rules over language and conscious thought processes, so it can say a lot about what a person processes as being funny, and in what manner they deliver funny insights. Mercury is the original master of wit!
Venus
Can show where you overindulge or what you are most greedy with.
Yes, the benefics can spoil, and they too can corrupt! One corrupted side of Venus is taking too much for herself possibly at the expense of others, and preferring a lazy and pleasurable lifestyle while never putting in the work. In some charts, at some times in your life, Venus’s placement can show where this applies.
Mars
Can show the way you break up with someone. 💔 While Venus’s function is to draw connections and support to us, Mars has the important function of keeping the connections we don’t want out, and severing connections that are no longer working. Mars’ objective is to assert individual will and this can require setting boundaries. Understanding your Mars can help you learn how to set boundaries and understand your tendencies when it comes to breaking up.
Bonus because I think it’s a really good one: Mars can show what type of exercise would be best for you, being the planet of action and vitality.
Jupiter
Can show where you overestimate your abilities or have blind faith in something, in some charts at some times. I’m choosing to cite a more negative side for both of the benefics in this post, as those sides aren’t always talked about a lot. Jupiter allows us to establish our beliefs, and gaining confidence in the way we view things is what creates the space for us to expand. But sticking by beliefs blindly (when it comes to either general philosophies or your beliefs about yourself!), without proper consideration for why you actually believe them, will not create any authentic expansion.
Saturn
Can show realms that at some points in your life you flat out avoid and/or dislike to the point of disgust potentially. This depends on what else you have in that house and how Saturn is aspected, but this has seemed to hold true for both myself at points, and a decent number of others I have observed.
Let’s be real. Saturn is not easy. He/she wants to build something long and lasting, but to actually do so can just seem so daunting. Especially when the limitations in the short term view can look so severe. 🪐 “Get bitter or get better” is a Saturn original line. And most of us have experienced feeling only bitter about our Saturn placement at some point.
Uranus
Can show where you operate for the greater good. Something I appreciate about Uranus (and want to give this shout out during the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction). Uranus doesn’t tend to need the individual accolades (depending how he’s aspected and placed). He understands he’s working to liberate a society and I think that’s beautiful. *Jupiter gushing*
Neptune
Can show where you feel like a victim or have been victimized.
I see Neptune as an outcast and misunderstood, it’s an energy some people might be inclined to try to take advantage of. But it’s for this same reason that your Neptune placement can also show where you have a very keen ability to sense, and want to support, others who suffer a similar predicament as you.
Pluto
Can show where and how you may try to control others. I don’t feel I read enough about this one, for how very common this expression can be at some points in our lives. Pluto is the subject matter that has been hidden from the conscious parts of our minds, specifically because we were the ones to bury it when we felt shame or fear for our power. Yes, Pluto is our power, but at the times that we can’t recognize this, a common reaction is to subtly try to control others in those realms. It can be so subtle and unconscious that we’re likely to not even recognize the ways we are acting or speaking manipulatively. Often the only way to fully solve this issue is to face whatever you blocked from your conscious mind and to learn to see any fears or shame you have associated with your Pluto’s placement, as actually sources of your personal power. 🖤
When you build a relationship with the planets, you’re building your relationship with yourself.
Scorpio rising in depth
You were encouraged or felt like you had to be secretive, mysterious, intense, mellow dramatic to be seen or heard. You could have been left alone a lot, maybe you were the baby or you were the oldest.. but you were trusted by your parents/caretakers to be on your own. No one was breathing down your neck.. you could have felt neglected or even forgotten about. There could have been a loss early on that completely transformed the life you used to know. You could have felt like you had to use manipulation tactics to either get eyes on you or off of you. You probably grew up a little shy, introverted and a little self conscious. You could easily intimidate others without knowing or trying. You may have grown up liking to wear all black, maybe you were into emo music, punk rock or you were part of the alternative group at school. You may have suck out people who also felt alone and misunderstood. You grew up differently in some way. There was something eccentric about your home or your mother. There could have been lack of stability or security. Your mom could have been detached or sent away from the family, you could have been taken away from your mom, which could have been traumatizing. You grew up in a house hold that may have had a lack of rules or if there were rules they were outlandish or weird in some way. Maybe you moved around lot, you could have been uprooted and made to feel lack of security within yourself.. you could have been confused on what was going on. There could have been lack of communication within the home, conversations could have been surface level, you could have had a lot of people coming and going from your home. Some with this placement could have even been raised in a commune or by extended relatives.. maybe your family only felt like acquaintances.. deep connection may have been lacking in childhood. As an adult you may enjoy unique, quirky houses/aesthetic or the idea of living on a plot of land with other people could entice you. The people you attract into your life are usually stubborn, earthy, values are big in their personality, they may be a bit harsh but it comes from a good place, they can be prodding in a more overt way than you and they’re usually predictable. Your relationships will feel like investments, you crave stability in other, however you may not be very stable which can create tension and resentments within your relationships. Depending where Venus is and what aspects it’s making will determine if your relationships are easy or hard and the lessons you are intended to learn. You’ll feel most successful when you are in a leadership role, a father, a mother, an actor.. you want to shine and you want to feel acknowledged and seen in the world. Drama, fun, excitement, entertainment .. all eyes on you is a craving but at the same time you may not know how to receive being seen.. it could make you uncomfortable to be recognized at first but overtime you’ll appreciate the lime light.
You are meant to create, share your experiences, tell a story, entertain through leadership roles.
