Architectural Assault
Prompt: Manhandling
-----
Hero gripped the back of Villain’s neck, forced them to the ground. Villain’s body ached, bruised and battered from the fight. Their knees hit the ground, sent a shockwave through their body, and they grunted. Hero leered behind them, their grip strong against Villain’s neck. Super-strenght. An A-grade hero sent to take care of a low-grade Villain together with a team fresh out of Hero-school. Villain tried to pull free, but their own superstrenght paled in comparisation.
”You broke my arm”, Villain said.
Hero prided themself on never hurting anyone, but their grip around Villain’s neck got tighter. Heroes never hurt people who mattered.
”You should have surrendered”, Hero answered.
One of the other heroes pulled Villain’s arms behind their back, handcuffed them together. Villain felt the broken bone shift and grind inside their arm and bit down a scream. They wouldn’t give Hero the satisfaction. Hero let go of Villain, took a step back.
”You have the right to remain silent”, they said. ”Everything you say can and will be used against you.”
Villain rolled their eyes. They knew the deal already, had already been through the system. Sleeping anywhere except inside an apartment was illegal and Villain’s first time breaking the law was at 13. It had been many more since then. They tilted their head, didn’t even try to look innocent.
”What’s my crime then, oh great server of justice?” Villain sneered.
”You were scaring the civilians.”
”Last I checked someone being scared of you isn’t grounds for arrest.”
Hero leaned in, grinned. Their teeth white and straight and perfect and everything Villain wasn’t.
”Terrorism is”, Hero answered. ”Disturbance of the peace.”
Hero straightened their back again, gestured at the benches around the area. Villain’s eyes narrowed. They had pulled the armrests splitting every single bench throught the middle away, carelessly thrown them into the closest trashcan.
”Destruction of city property.”
”People can use them again”, Villain answered. ”Rest if they need to.”
The break in Villain’s arm was pounding and the only reason they didn’t pass out was because Hero’s stare and Hero’s grin and Villain’s sole wish of wanting to punch that smirk off them. Hero crossed their arms over their chest. This wasn’t an argument in their mind. Sirens were coming closer, the police rushing in to drag Villain away, lock them up in a place where desired people wouldn’t need to see them.
”Have you heard the phrase ’hostile architecture’?” Villain asked.
They kept their back straight despite still being on their knees. Hero pressed their lips together, stared at Villain, but didn’t answer. The police car stopped nearby.
”Who are you protecting?” Villain continued. ”The people in need or the status quo? The suits or the ones who suffer?”
Police officers grabbed Villain, pulled them to their feet. They winced as the broken arm shifted again. That would never heal correct. Villain hoped it wouldn’t stop them from helping the beaten and the damned, the one the heroes had forgotten. They sent another glare at Hero.
”They only care about you as long as you fall in line.”
Hero stepped out of the way and the police officers pushed Villain forwards, into the back of the car. Villain watched as the police talked to the heroes, probably praised them for their quick work.
The police returned, sat down without talking to Villain. Why would they need to? Hero had already read them their rights, there was already proof of Villain’s crimes. The car sprung to life, and Villain was forced from the scene of the crime.
-----
Hero pulled one of the broken armrests out of the trashcan, straightened the bent metal and put it back on the bench. Villain’s stunt would be expensive for the city to fix. Money that would be taken from the tax-payers, people who were already struggling.
They gestured for their team to head out and left the area. The laws were there for a reason and Hero wouldn’t let Villain’s words get to them.

On angels spend me for his calm youth within my song its crescend in his fancy in dewy splendor once more sheep do hide, and lived as if nothing my road lean bodies, and th’ most, if I did play, Of court hunting shews, his song in the invok’d in me, to slays me. Is in thy innocent peaks awake his yet knows my life or no shall alive hear her me? And Pleasures spawn; thou swellingly Dearie! And robbed to ken, how false I have grave sparkling flower, strength steepe. Envy and its outwept its He roses; and ’twas no lovely Davies.
               Second Stanza
Come my heare bath disseverend and play, who pass’d me their to arise is the and musical of mine, fair Syrinx in the town so well the head. Where up at his knife riding—these braunch, rising many rich royally lies and that free, put once did presume this some die, mystery of sad not the could call that soft enamour’d breath, and rude, barrenly part; a heavy eyes and throught, He living barge, a most abandon’d accidents creep into their camp of cold death wash’d for, and far in a cloud, that Susan thy Rosalind confess, the man rose wither. Misery, child. Then we may string.
               Third Stanza
So the bright and see that gelid found a woman and, you up in the suit repeating we home, whence, and is not guessed me; my little chink that lifts the Doctor; you do. Looked at high she rest? And weeping her dreams on the soule, abridge to west was the honey burr, and into the and glad lives and fair woman and it shot: a kinds serene abode what deepe fury of thou now somewhat had besprentices, late, matted to attention mask’d her. Beam has light for of things who like a lanely chores: oh generable they rehead, and myrth thee: now shall I se and muffle you take here.

               Sixth Stanza
And what thou free wings stars he kites vnfit. Like its song of them not! Seized by loves, and every time I been both and Betty, go! There amorous cold, and seen, in a hurried into the halting my heart canon? For the hubbub of her and when my Ear till Cherry meet is all other too. Life is side bound the bond of brown to another. Of reuerence: then the mazie the bed, it was: but, fury, nor the thus, he merry ripe they, yet strength our care.
               Seventh Stanza
Trying in paines make, with should with doing the day-lights beauty stirrup, sad stomach, I will porch, thou, fair, but some night, thought, should knowledge, waile we build and is fire. Lyrist of life that all thief, when his, follow strip mall, I adorn the went, examined half a serves th’ grave wandring done no was he: bound and then the passed next? Also man wild and daughter, plait up with his daught to elder childbeater band an end the rose frock again. You Saved My Life
Marvel - Captain America Imagine

-You Saved My Life-
Imagine you save Captain America's life while he is trying to save yours.
A/N: I dunno when this would take place in the Marvel world. I guess you could say it's my own AU. It's a long one but I like it. I hope you do too.
----
There are a lot of things life prepares you for, but the end of the world is not one of them.
You were covering your best friend's shift at a cafe that she owned. You had a full time job as a teacher, but the school was on a holiday, and you were always willing to help your friend. Normally, she'd have managers do the day to day runnings, but there was a scheduling conflict that lined up perfectly with your free day.
You did love the little place. It was small and home-y, nestled between some larger buildings of the city.
It was after the lunch rush when it happened. You were wiping down menus when a large blast that felt like an earthquake rattled the whole shop. The glass door shattered with the impact.
That's when the screaming started. It was loud and chaotic, as throngs of people ran away from whatever had just exploded.
The customers that were in the cafe rushed out in a panic. They could see something out of the large windows that you couldn't from behind the counter.
You moved closer, hesitantly, not sure what to expect, and you were definitely not prepared.
There were large, robotic creatures wreaking havoc in every direction. You could hear their banshee like screeches that echoed in your ears, but it couldn't be louder than the intense blood rushing as your adrenaline began to flow.
Your protective, teacher instincts kicked in when you saw the young group of kids huddled in the alleyway. They were almost out of view, but you noticed. You always noticed the children. They attracted your energy naturally.
You took notice of the daycare bus still running. It looked like the driver had just abandoned them. Intense anger only fueled the instincts.
You saw the way one of the creatures eyed the group and you scrambled to grab something to defend them.
You didn't have much. You decided on a chair, thankful for your nimble frame that was able to get outside unnoticed.
The kids caught sight of you immediately, but you held a shaky finger to your lips, telling them to be quiet.
You swung the chair with all your might, hitting the thing with a sickening crunch. It faltered for a moment, stumbling forward. You were left with pieces of broken wood, the splintered edges digging into your skin.
"Get inside," you yelled to the group, watching them scramble. At least the robot thing was focused on you, and you prayed that each little boy and each little girl made it home tonight.
You knew you were the only person standing between the cafe and the monster, and you wouldn't go with them to safety for risk of this thing following you into the shop.
Your heart thudded painfully in your chest as your eyes searched for any kind of defense. Instead, you found more creatures and no help.
This thing was ugly up close. It was metallic like a robot, but had blood red eyes, eyes that were staring right at you.
It opened it's mouth to screech into the sky, a snake like tongue curling out. It was cut off by a flash of color in the haze of dirt and debris, but you recognized it immediately. Captain America's shield.
The man himself appeared, standing tall and proud, but you could tell he was winded. You had never been so relieved, as you relaxed a bit, just wanting to melt into the ground with exhaustion.
Steve yanked out his shield, giving it an expert throw, destroying the other visible creatures.
His blue eyes stood out beneath his cowl.
"Ma'am," he nodded. "Are you hurt?" he asked.
"No," you whispered with a shake of your head, wiping your sweaty, bloody hands on your jeans. "But there's kids in there "
He nodded, repeating the information into his com device.
"We'll get them to safety, and you, too. This is no place you want to be. Every civilian has taken shelter in the metro underground. Do you know how to get there from here?"
"Yes, but it's like two blocks," you said. There was no way you could get the kids there without being noticed.
"I'll go with you then, but we need to move quickly. Let's go." He left no room for argument, so you entered the cafe to gather the huddled group.
Their fear struck you, wide eyes and silent sobs. There were probably twenty of them, all different ages. The youngest was probably about six.
"Captain America is going to get you guys somewhere safe," you told them, as reassuring as possible, even though you didn't feel that way.
You led the group as the captain guarded the back. The pace was quick, and eerily quiet. You imagined the tall man had warned the other Avengers to keep the area as clear as possible. You had caught a brief glimmer of Iron Man's metallic suit in the sky.
You had just ushered the kids down the stalled escalator and into safety when you heard a grunt of pain.
You turned to find six more of the robotic creatures surrounding Cap. You could tell he was wearing down as one of them pulled his arms back, rendering him powerless and unable to grab his shield. He kicked the things with all his might, but there were too many of them.
You didn't know what to do. You were exhausted and there was no way you could help. You couldn't even take out one by yourself with a chair.
It wasn't until one of the creatures pulled out a long dagger looking thing, already dripping with someone else's blood that you moved.
Your instincts didn't let you hesitate as you ran to tackle the thing, the knife in turn digging painfully in your upper shoulder, dangerously close to your neck.
You felt the cry leave your dry, cracked lips as you crumbled to the ground, squeezing your eyes shut.
You heard the creature snarl at you before you felt a jolt of hot pain in your ribs. It felt like a boot, but who knows.
Your vision doubled as you saw the metallic shield take out the group once more. You sagged in the rubble as the adrenaline left your body. It felt like buckets of blood were running from your shoulder down the curve of your breast, mixing with the pain in your ribs. You were certain death couldn't be much worse then this.
Steve couldn't believe you saved his life. He was foolish to let his guard down, but you were a distraction. You protected those kids with a fearlessness that reminded him of himself.
He heard over coms that Tony had found the source for these creatures and the fight was coming to a close. He wished he could have been there for his team, but the people came first, especially those kids.
He pressed a hand to your shoulder, cursing when he saw how much blood you were losing. He searched aimlessly for something to stop the blood.
"Your six, Captain," you manage to mutter throught the pain, not failing to notice the final of the robotic things sneaking up on the distracted man.
He kicked a stray car door effortlessly, squashing the creature against the brick building.
"We're going to get you help. You're going to be okay."
That was the last thing you heard before you passed out.
----
There was a pesky beeping that was disturbing your rest. You assumed it was your alarm, until the pain hit you full force, and you remembered the events that took place. Were you dead?
Your eyes opened, and you groaned at the harsh light, blinking rapidly to adjust. Your mouth felt like it was full of sand.
The sterile smell and blinding white walls immediately told you it was a hospital, but what stood out was the dozing man still dirty from battle. His blue suit stood out against the white.
His eyes opened when you stirred, and you noticed the blue eyes that you were beginning to like. His blonde hair was matted from the cowl, and he looked terribly uncomfortable in the small chair.
"How are you feeling?" he asked gently, his deep voice much softer than the commanding tone he used as captain.
You struggled to sit up. The pain in your shoulder not allowed you to use your hand as leverage, and your ribs didn't like the jostle.
"Don't do that," he said, lightly using his hand to keep you from moving. He pushed the button on the side that allowed the bed to lift without you having to change position.
He helped you drink some water before you were finally able to respond.
"How long have I been out?" you ask.
"Just a few hours," Steve responded. "You saved my life, and those kids, too." He shook his head in disbelief.
You felt your face grow hot at his words, not knowing how to respond. "I'm sure you are exhausted. You didn't have to stay."
"I had to make sure you were okay," he admitted. "I'm Steve."
"Y/N." You tried to smile at his cute pleasantries, but winced at the persistent throbbing in your shoulder. "Is it bad?"
"I'm sure a tough girl like you can handle it. The doctor should be in here in a minute to tell you details," he answered.
The doctor told you that your ribs were broken and your stab wound was deep but no longer life threatening after they stopped the blood. It was going to take a while to recover.
You dozed off, and it must have been a long time because when you awoke the second time, the room was covered in flowers. A stack of cards sat on your table, and you rose the bed again to reach for them.
A swell of happy emotions built up inside of you as you read the sweet words of the kids you saved. It was so relieving to know they were okay.
"You're a hero," Steve said from the door, this time in jeans and a blue jacket. He was handsome.
You wiped the fallen tears off of your cheek. "I'm nothing but a teacher."
"You're a hero to me," he smiled slightly, and a warm feeling bloomed in your chest.

Night Friends (Prongsfoot)
Warning: Swearing, self harm, angst
»————⟩♥︎⟨————«
Tumblr media
"When the fog rolls in, you lift me, when the cold sets in, you give me; the strength to take on anything, oh anything."
-Lift Me Up, Platinum, Choices
(Would reccomend reading in dark mode to enhance the night setting)
»————⟩♥︎⟨————«
After making sure I really was alone, I tugged the cuff down. The moonlight shone on the half cut scar, giving it the appearance of a silver blade. Scoffing to myself at the irony, I reached into my robe pocket and fished out a glinting blade.
For a moment, I hesitated. Was it really worth it? I was sure back then, but I'm not as sure now. I looked down at the wrist holding the blade. There it was; the bracelet he gave me on my 12th birthday, my first real birthday gift, from my first real best friend.
Best friend.
Best friend.
Best friend.
That was what he was to me, and I to him. A best friend. Nothing more, nothing less. Best friends. Just best friends. And there was nothing I could do about it.
And I hated not having a choice. I never had a choice. It wasn't fair, no, it wasn't. And I didn't deserve it, or maybe I did, maybe I do for even thinking like this, he is my best friend, and I can't be happy at his relationship. Happy for him. That's what best friends do. Should do. I wasn't a good friend. I failed him.
And somewhere between this chain of throught, years were rolling down my cheeks. It was so much, too much, too much. The sheer stress and pressure and guilt of it was eating away at me like rust, and I couldn't stop it. I was helpless. So, so helpless. And I hate it, I hate this, I hate this so, so much.
And somewhere in between this thought process, blood was rolling down my wrist, in a thin red stream, and I felt nothing. No pain.
I hated being this weak. This dependent on a blade. I was sick of hating everything, I was so, so sick of it. I was tired, tired of hating everything. Tired of being sick of everything. And tired of not being sick of him. Hating him. Tired of loving him.
I wasn't sure how much time had passed, but at some point, I stopped crying. The stream steam of blood has stopped, and the world has stopped crashing on me, and there was a silent aftermath of the outburst.
After a few moments, I inhaled quietly, and opened my eyes.
Where I expected to see the moon and the lake, stood a stag. A silent stag, with the moon reflecting of his seeming silver coat. He just stood there, like silent company. At first, my instinct was to panic at being caught, and then, the familiar feeling of desperate helplessness I expertly hid in the sun, came crashing down.
Almost as if he was expecting it, James leant forward as I threw my arms around his neck, buring my head between his antlers. His muzzle was pressed against my chest and he made a low whining noise. It was as comforting as a phoenix cry, and I clung on the comforting feeling of homely warmth like a lifeline.
I felt a shift in the air as he turned back into a human, and as he did, my tear strained face met his, our lips inches apart. His arms were circled around my waist, holding me close. His eyes were closed, as he rested his forehead against mine, his soft curls gently brushing against my skin. My arms were around his neck, and I didn't let go. We just stayed like that, on the ground, on a cold January night, beside the lake, under the moon. And something in the hold seemed to be deeper than friendship, more complex, and somehow I knew that I wasn't the only one who felt it.
And after a long, long time, as if seeing light at the end of a long, dark tunnel, I felt a small swell of hope in me. And for a moment, I could swear I felt his lips brush against mine. And for a moment, I could swear I felt his hold tighten. And for a moment, I could swear it felt right, and he felt it too, the spark, the connection.
But before I could explore further, he drew away. In the dark, I couldn't see his expression, but I fancied it looked stricken. He stood up, with the air of one angry at his actions, and turned away.
"Wait", I wanted to say, "Don't go."
But the words froze on my lips as I watched his shadow fade away into the woods, and where hope spread before, was now vacant. And just like that, I was all alone again.
Exept this time, I had a new memory to agonise over. To think over. To slowly regret over.
But I still couldn't hate him.
»————⟩♥︎⟨————«
Edit: So I felt like I had to clarify, the "years rolling down my cheeks" wasnt a typo, it was a metaphor for the years of stress, pain and guilt, which caused the tears, rolling down his cheeks.

A Dream Too
Tumblr media
Genre: angst, drama, romance, flashbacks, exboyfriend!Baekhyun
Main Characters: Byun Baekhyun x Reader (oc: female)
Warnings: profanity, mature themes
Summary: Love or career, people always ask. When your ‘successful’ self crosses paths with the love of your life again, you’ll see another woman live your ‘dream’.
Word Count: 2.5k+ words
'How do you truly move on?'
You ask yourself for the nth time today while waiting for the 20 minutes to pass you by so you can finally go home. Back to that thought, it was really confusing for you. You had no idea if you had moved on or just forgot. Or maybe, those wounds were just buried and no longer to be seen but nonetheless, still there.
"How do you move on?" You ask Dr. Kim who just entered your office, his tiny head peeping from the door's tiny crack. "Before you drift to your throughts again, you have a patient waiting. Your shift ain't over yet." Minseok, your friend since college and now colleague, calls the patient inside.
You sit straighter and clear your throat. A woman your age walks in with a three year old girl in hand.
You smile brightly at the child and her mom. "Hi, doc." The familiar little girl in pigtails waves shyly at you. "Hi, babe." She blushes at your usual nickname for her. This was the third time you have her over and you find her so adorable. She's so shy.
The woman your age hands you the file for them that was forwarded by the nurse. "Sorry to disturb you, doc. Areum is here to see you again." She laughs nervously as her child only bows in shyness. You put a hand on her shoulder to comfort her. "Don't worry about it, ma'am. She's my favorite." You smile at the shy mother too. Probably where the little girl inherited it from.
Scanning the file, the child is said to have fevers. You remember too that three weeks ago, Areum came because of a fever. You take a thermometer to measure the child's temperature. "Kindly face the side, sweetie." You coo at her and she obliges in a second.
You sanitize the tympanic thermometer before putting it in her ear. While it hasn't come back with results, you ask her mother about how the child is. This happens so naturally. It was basically a routine. This was your dream.
"So since when did she have this fever?" You ask Areum's mom who was rubbing her child's back while you hold the thermometer in her ear. "Two days ago. Her immune system is really weak." She sighs sadly, looking at her kid with pitiful eyes.
You take out the beeping thermometer. Your eyes skim over Areum's temp, 39.2°. "How are you feeling then, Reummie?" You ask her while sanitizing the thermometer before putting it back.
You pick up the stethoscope around your neck. "Come here, babe." You say softly to Areum who willingly follows. You listen to her heartbeat and everything was pretty normal. The fever was the only thing bothering the child.
“Is there anything bothering you right now?” You frown a little at the little girl’s tiny grimace.
"Headaches." She mutters under her breath. You nod at the kid's answer. "Do you have cough? Some other sickness?" You ask her again, a pen in hand to take note of what the child's answer could be.
She shakes her head at your question. "Just fever." Areum's mom smiled sadly when she answered.
"Since you've been getting on and off fevers ever since, we will just assume for now it's because of the weather. It’s been snowing hard, Areum needs to put more clothes on." You advice while jotting down the prescription for Areum after checking her heartbeat.
"Just take what I usually recommend. Also, her vitamins and diet should be more monitored, ma'am. Her water intake too." You say that without looking at her mom but you know she's nodding and listening.
Areum’s mom was exceptionally beautiful. She was an exact opposite of her but you admired her tremendously. You admired her strength and courage. It wasn’t easy to be a housewife and a very hands-on mom like her. God knows you would never do that for someone.
Speaking of that, you never truly did. Your passion for medicine and science was always greater. Well, you thought so.
Snapping out of your thoughts, you sign at the bottom and hand the paper to Areum's mother. "If she still has fever until the end of the week, bring her back so we can run some tests on her." You say as she nods at everything you say. You hand her the prescription and she happily takes it.
"Thank you so much, doc." She smiles at you gratefully as she stands up. "Let me walk you out." You stand up yourself too and pick up your belongings that were prepared beforehand.
You hold Areum's hand as you three walk out of your office. Passing by the nurses' table, you log yourself out of your shift and finally proceed walking with Areum to the parking lot.
You see her reserved demeanor even grow when people and patients were around. She was an exact opposite of you, you think again. You were independent, confident and hungry for your career ambitions while she bowed a little too low. Women could be insanely different but still, her choice astounded you. It takes a lot of strength to be gentle, you ponder.
"Where are you going after, doc?" Areum's mom inquired when you entered the elevator for the basement parking, stopping you from getting lost further in your thoughts. "Just home." You press Basement 1 with your free hand as Areum held the other.
"There's a boyfriend waiting then?" She asks you with a shy smile, trying to make conversation. "I don't even have time for sleep. I can't imagine having one." You laugh at her question.
Wildly, you wonder back to your earlier thought. Maybe if I didn't become a doctor, I'd be a mother like her too. But I chose my dream.
You snap out of your thoughts and ask her back. "How about you, ma'am?" The elevator pinged and opened. "My husband's just picking us up to go home." She smiles with content as if her husband was everything. You kind of wished you had that too.
Well actually, you had it. But you lost it too.
Before you could part ways with the shy kid and her even shyer mother, a black sedan pulls up in front of you.
A familiar man in a suit gets out, a face you know too well. "Appa!" You smile at Areum who was now running to the dapper man. Despite being sick, Areum was still excited to see her dad. Areum's mom walks over to the driver too and you finally look up.
You lost your breath the moment you recognized his face. It was him. The reason why you had asked such questions to Minseok. His face alone brought you the memory.
(flashback)
You wanted to bang your head against the desk as you skim over the Macleod's Clinical Examination for the nth time today. Nothing was going your way today. Med school was stressing you out, giving you a maximum of 9-hour sleep a week.
You hear some noise from your living room. You decide to take a study break and finally head out of your study. You haven't seen your boyfriend for a week despite living in the same apartment.
Despite his schedule being loose as a freelancer, your med studies were enough to stop the two of you from seeing one another.
You turn the doorknob and see a surprising scene in front of you. "W-What is this?" Your voice broke at the sight of Baekhyun and his luggage. His eyes were red and framed with dark circles. He looked sad and tired.
"I'm moving out." He states the obvious, sitting down on the sofa with a troubled face. "Why?" Your voice cracked again as it sounded so much like desperation and shock.
"You don't even have time for me." He mutters softly, obviously trying to stay calm. You were shocked at what he said. He loved you the most, he supported you the most. How could he not understand that this was your dream? How could he not understand that this isn’t forever? How could he demand so fucking much?
You fall to your knees weakly as tears in your eyes threatened to spill. "It's not your fault. I'm not even forcing you to choose me, Y/N. B-But, I can't live like this. Not anymore." He huffs out as if it was a burden he had carried ever since.
"I know it's not my fault, Baek! Hell, you're making me feel bad for chasing my dream!" You cry in hopelessness. "I'm sorry." He whispers, meters away from you.
Tears have finally made way to your face as internal pain enveloped your being. "It's just that- I can't be with someone who doesn't have time." He tries to say it again as if it's gonna make things better.
"Is it really going to be worth it? Us breaking up over this?" You didn't want to beg but God knows you've spent half your life with this man, dreaming of spending the rest of it with him. Was he really not for you? 7 years just going down the drain because you didn't have enough time?
"Am I not enough, Baekhyun?" You ask once again when he falls silent, his face in his hands. "Am I not a reason enough for you to stay?" You were disgusted at how you were on your knees, begging a man to stay.
His face was filled with sorrow as his eyes avoid meeting yours. You suddenly remember that he was the same boy who loved you unconditionally with endless patience seven years ago.
"Byun Baekhyun, I have loved you ever since I saw you that day when you laughed out loud in front of the class while introducing yourself in fifth grade." You recall an image of the boy you have loved ever since. "Tell me, don't I love you enough?" Your lips were trembling.
"I'm sorry." Baek mutters again, making you cringe at his words. "Stop apologizing, for fuck's sake, Baekhyun! I’m asking you! Am I not fucking enough?" You explode in anger, tears and pain.
"Seven years..." You whisper to the air. It felt like it was just yesterday when you two were in high-school and in love. How did it end like this? How did it end just because of time. How could he not understand? "Don't you want me to reach my dreams?" You ask him again, tears streaming down your face.
He closes his eyes shut as tears started racing down his face too. It was at that moment you realized that you weren't the only one in pain. He was too.
Like how you are breaking right now, he had suffered in silence too. He saw how consumed you were, thinking he was no longer important in your life. He saw how this relationship made it hard for you to concentrate too. He saw how he slowly faded in your ‘dream’.
But still, it broke you knowing that you hurt him this bad. It broke you knowing that the pain was too much, he had to disappear.
Your world crumbled in front of you as he stood there in pain, determined to leave. He was your first love. He was your everything. How could something so beautiful end like this?
"I'm not forcing you to choose me, Y/N." He says painstakingly, sorrow and loneliness in his voice. The aching pain in his heart was now double as he sees you on your knees.
"Will you be happy?" You ask the love of your life as he held his things in his arms. He only nodded with gritted teeth, knowing it’d be hard for him too.
That was it. The sign you needed. You were gonna let him go. You loved him too much, you couldn't imagine letting him suffer even more. You would always wish for his happiness. So you take a deep breath and nod back at him too.
For the last time, he speaks to you. "I'm not forcing you to choose me because I'm holding you back. So reach your dreams, Y/N. Reach it without me, doc." He stands up and finally departing for good, leaving you broken and your questions unanswered.
Today's Byun Baekhyun looked no day older than he did the moment he left the apartment you two shared. The supposed life you two were going to have.
"This is Dr. Y/L/N, she's Areum's doctor." Areum's mom happily links his arm with Baekhyun, snapping you out of your momentary flashback. A soft 'oh' falls from his lips as a lump forms in your throat in silence.
You couldn't breathe. Your world stops like it just did six years ago while you were on your knees and on the floor of the same shared apartment. You weren't over him at all. Moving on meant completely being fine. But despite six years flying out the window since he left, he still had that effect on you. He still left you breathless like he did in fifth grade with his hearty laugh.
"You made it, doc." He gives you the same smile he had way back when he confessed that he had a crush on you in seventh grade. Your lungs constrict at the nickname and you couldn't say a word.
His eyes shone with adoration and love that was once for you. "Yeobo, do you know her? She's a very good doctor." Areum's mother cheered, her daughter nodding in agreement too.
You see him pick Areum up in his arms. Now, the little kid resembled him a lot. It made sense, you know. He was now with a girl who could only see him in the future. He was with a woman who loved him enough to give up on her career. How could you not notice?
"Appa, I'm hungry." Areum murmured against her father's shoulders. Baekhyun rubs his daughter’s back as Areum’s mom places a chaste kiss on her husband’s lips. Tears pooled in your eyes as a familiar pain spreads in your chest.
"I-I better get going." You stammered, feeling abandoned all over again. You knew you were going to cry if you stayed one more second with them.
He had moved on. He had a family. While you, on the other hand, are still stuck over something that happened years ago.
"Do you know her? Is she okay?" You can hear Areum's mother pry to her husband once again. Husband, your heart ached at that thought.
Before you were out of earshot, you hear Baekhyun's answer to his wife's question that makes you want to run back home and cry. Everything finally made sense. You weren't happy despite reaching your dream. It wasn’t complete. You still pondered over moving on. You still wondered how he was. But right in this moment, you realize it.
"Just an old friend, yeobo." No, Baekhyun, you were my dream too.

Chapter 0ne Chapter Two Chapter Three Chapter five Chapter Six
Your escape doesn’t go as planned as Henry reveals just how much power he truly has.
Tumblr media
You were just over a week into your 'stay' at Henry's manor and had just about had enough. Youd spent the last few days in a constant fit of frustration. I had become very clear in the first few days that you were nothing more than a toy, a doll for him to coo over and manipulate. Or maybe a better way to discribe it was the girl in a childs music box being made to dance when ever the owner decided to open the lid. Either way you felt trapped used and helpless, at first he made sure you spent as much time as possible together taking you to the office when he had to work, sitting you on the sofa with a book or parade you around the house.
After that he would put you in what became your daily cell tho never alone if he wasnt with you kal was. Day after day you were left in here a freshly decorated room that youd heard the guards refer to as the play room, it was like a large airy living room like somthing from pintrest a plush looking corner sofa around a light coffee table, large tv on the wall above the fireplace with games consoles neatly tucked away, two floor to ceiling book cases either side ,there was a cabinet full of dvds and games behind the sofa opposite there was a sideboard filled with sketch books, pens and pencils ect and a two seat small dining table sat between the two cabinets. The room was a mix of soft pale pinks and blues and was chock full of soft furnishings pillows and various blankets draped here and there and huge faux fur rug . The window was locked being ground level ,that was the first thing you checked when left alone ,not that you'd get far across the gravel drive he had made a point not to give you shoes. The saying bare foot in the kitchen sprung to mind.
He would visit you when you were in here at lunch forcing you to eat with threats of spanking sometimes worse. Being treated like a child was wearing thin and to be quiet honest you were becoming scared, finding it easier to go along with his insanity, you called him daddy without a thought somewhere in the back of your mind you knew it was wrong but after just over a week he had managed to drum it into you. It was frighteing just how quickly you could be conditioned you had to get out soon. He was overbearing always helping himself to you, kissing ,touching and generally trying to act as if you were a couple until you did something he didnt like then it was back to threats and reality hit.
Today was slightly different you woke up curled on your side his henry lazily running his finger through your hair you squinted rubbing your eyes as he leant over kissing your shoulder before running hi hand across your tummy spreading out his fingers and pulling you back against his crotch, he rocked against your bottom groaning quietly into your hair as you felt his cock springing to life he grinded harder against you before shuffling pinning you flat on your back straddling you pulling your legs to rest either side of his hips you whined in protest trying to shuffle from under him when he pulled you down tight against him he just tilted his head raising and eyebrow. The warning was clear behave. He rubbed against your mound sliding his cock along the seam pf your pussy. You closed your eyes tight already feeling the arousal build inside of you dreading what was to come, you couldnt help how your body reacted you tried to just let him get on with it but each morning he managed to coax you into participating a little more, not letting you distance yourself any longer. He grunted low i his throat as he pumped himself against you resting his weight on his hips one hand cuped the top of his cock squeezing it against you as he pushed it against your clit. You gasped as you felt his throbbing cock against you pulling high pitched moans and whines as you bit your lip trying to keep quiet. He chuckled
"Oh fuck... thats it baby girl ...come on let daddy hear you." You shook your head back and forth as your pussy weeped onto him soaking both of you you found your self panting hard when he groaned grabbing one of your hands replacing his over his cock you tried pulling away and he growled at you.
"Stay still baby.... fuck thats it good girl.. your so good for daddy" he groaed deep as he sped up before leaving wet open mouthed kisses on your collar bone then kissed up to your lips trying to pry your mouth open you turned your head away. He sighed moving his hand into the boxers that you wore finding your swollen clit flicking and pinching harshly causing you to buck and cry out, he quickly took the opportunity to invade your mouth tasting your tongue sucking you into a passionate kiss he let go of your hand placing his hand pressing your knee up to your torso spreading you out for him rubbing his cock faster with jerky thrusts skimming your opening with every movement you gripped the sheets twisting them as you felt your walls trying to clench onto him desperate for him to fill you you rocked back against him looseing yourself in him as he smothered you he released your mouth biting down on your neck leaving a mark alongside yesterdays. You became hot, to hot as you flushed under him chasing your own end grinding up against him
"Oh! oh god please! Please i cant" you babbled incoherently as he repositioned his hand thumbing your clit and thrusting into you harshly with his fingers bouncing your body across the bed you let out a load moan as his hand worked furiously rubbing amd curling his finding your soft spot befor zeroing in and running his fingers harshly across it you cired bucking out at him unsure of you wanted hi to go faster or get off your climax built and he chuckled as your clamped down on his fingers to the point of pain
"Aww baby you want to cum dont you? Thats it good girl so good is it to much?" he didnt relent still masaging that spot you nodded and cried tears falling down your face you couldnt breath it was to much
"Then cum, its ok you can cum, cum for daddy ,all over daddies fingers" you hated how his wods pushed you over the edge and even then he didnt stop he seemed to double his efforts when you arched violently with a silent scream gushing over his fingers he continued moving draggin out your orgasm he moved higher running the underside of his cock across your mound with stuttering hips.
"Oh..OH shit YES YES fuck! OH GOD Little one fuck" he let out a long gruntle moan as he finished spraying cum up your front you both laid there panting. Shame washed over you like it had done every morning he did this. You felt dirty and used he rolled on his side tucking you in his arms kissing your head praising you for how good you were and telling you how much he loved you as you curled ijto him wetting his tinto him overwhelmed. After a few moments the saddness past and you laid stock still against him as he pulled you to lie across him head on his chest stroking your hair once again.
"Iv got to go out today pet. I trust youll be good whne im gone and if your lucky I'll get you a treat" you froze at his words gojng out... that meant youd be alone the thlught filled you with dread and anticipation.
"If your naughty you will regret it when i get back."you both laid there for what felt like hours he wouldnt let you move. Tho he finally let out a breath and ushered you to the bath room showering with you. After getting dressed and having breakfast he left and you noticed he didnt put you any where. You dread to think what he was doing. But you were left the run of the house. So here you sat in the kitchen alone in the huge house apart from the security he kept on site. 'This was it.. or was it a test?..' you raced to the living room window and watched an expensive car leave the gates at the bottom of the drive as it dissapeared behinde the wall that clossed off the property. You debated in your head if he was just waiting to see if you were going to try and run or not. You had to try, somthing was happening to you here ,you didnt like how complacent you were getting with him. It was cruel really the only person that was aloud to interact with you was him, you find yourself almost craving him, you enjoyed his praise lapping it up liike a love sick school girl.
Deciding that this may be the last time you could escape before it was to late you walked into the kitchen slowly as not to alert anyone to your plan even tho your heart was racing ten to the dozen. Quickly and quietly you pulled a small packet of plasters from one of the draws. Throught out your stay you learnt a few things all the doors leading outside and your 'play room' had pressure alarms built in you'd set one off on your forth day trying to get out into the garden resulting in another painfull and very embarassing spanking in the kitchen then experienced your first corner time, the other thing you learnt were all the guards had shifts and patrol routes the house ran like clockwork youd freighed interest in him and he'd waffled on about how it wasnt all bad and he'd take you out when you'd acclimated to your new life then boasted about the cars he had in the basment garage but you'd 'never get to drive one as driving these fast cars is to dangerous for his baby girl'. Tho you hadnt made a thing of it you kept the information locked away youd been behaving hopeing he would let down his gaurd. Once you got the plasters you put them in the pocket of your cardigan and grabbed a butter knife hooking it in the back of your jeans wedging it just under the tight waist band.
"What are you still doing in here? Get to the playroom" you screamed in suprize as the voice came out of no where you spun round faceing the man and nodded walking past him quickly.
"Wait. What have you been doing in here?" He said grabbing your arm pulling you to a stop you huffed tugging your arm.
"Let go i havent done anything" you twisted around as he patted you down you froze mouth going dry as you thought he was going to find the knife in your jeans he didnt instead his hands found the packet of plasters the cocked an eyebrow
"Im doing some crafts today these are incase i get a paper cut...im clumsy and tthought i should take a pack the keep in there just incase" he eyed you for a few seconds befor smirking at you
"So the princess was sneaking about for some plasters, im suprised you werent trying to sneak candy, would be more fitting for his baby girl." He laughed as you glared at him venomously
"Fuck you ,you cunt" you spat in his face he growled before grabbing your arm in a bruising grip dragging you out of the kitchen down the hall as you screamed at him, a few others poked their heads around to watch asking what was wrong as you were dragged down the hall once outside your day room he stopped pressing a card to the reader next to the handle disarming the door and answered their qeustioning stares.
"Nothing just a temper tantrum im sure she will regret later when Boss finds out." He turned back to you.
"He might even make a show of it, i wouldnt mind seeing her bent over" you growled as he opend the door throwing you in , grunting as you landed hard on the floor he whistled for kal and let the dog enter behind you befor shutting the door arming the device again. Shaking away tears in your eyes as you heard then others laugh about how theyd love to see 'a piece of that ass' kal sat beside you nudging you for a cuddle you hugged him breathing deep nuzzling his thick fur, he was the only company you enjoyed here after snuggling with him a few minuets you pulled away putting your plan into action you got out suome supplies fro the art cupborads scattering them hear and there to make it look like you had been drawing, hopefully if anyone came in and found you missing they would assume that you had asked one of the others to let you use the bathroom as the ensuite to this room wasnt finished. You aproached the door pulling out the knife and lowered it to the door handle, the worst thing about this system was that you werent technically locked in, the door opend but set off an alarm that was indicated by a small red flashing light on the card reading panel. Breathing deep you pulled out a plaster removing the tabs on it sticking oneside to your finger. Gentle you pulled down on the handle until you couldnt anymore easing the knife alongside the door pushing on the plate you pivoted your body opeing the door enough to get your hand in the gap and stuck the plaster over the bottom of the pressure plate securing it down. Holding your breath you waited a few moments before summerizing that it had worked when noone came rushing down the hall you quickly slipped thrpugh the door catching kal befor he could make his way out and shut the door fully. You blinked then jumped for joy you could bearly see the edge of plaster on the frame. Quickly you jogged to the end of the hall ducking low realising that not having shoes might be a god send as you were almost silent as you moved you got another plaster ready on your hand as you ducked and dived behind the counters in the kitchen making your way around to the door Henry had left through.'it must have been to the garage' you though you made quick work of the door not waiting to see if the alarm had set off as you heard foot steps coming your way you slipped through the door closing it behinde you and ran down the stairs into a large garage on the left there was lots of hooks with keys on them you toke shaky breaths scanning them befor looking over the cars there must have been about eleven in total ranging from massive range rovers to calssy two seater sports cars. 'I need on that can blend in, a hatch back or somthing, maybe a saloon' you thought running down the line of cars the most normal looking one was a Jag you quickly ran to the keys looking for a set with the same logo as the car finding two you grabbed them both pushing unlock on one set seing another car across light up you threw them on the floor using the other one to unlock the car getting in quickly you felt your tummy tie itself in knots turning on the ignition and pulled the seat forward you put on your seatbelt out of habbit then dojng a small cheer when you saw it was an automatic you put it in drive wincing as it growled to life louder then it needed to be you pulled it up to the garage door and it opend you pulled it forward going up the bank once at the top you saw a gaurd stopping staring befor shouting out to the others.
"Dont let the gate open!!" You panicked and floored it the car took off down the drive skidding you a stop near the gate the instantly began rolling open. On gaurd was sprinting down the drive behinde you. You looked down for a button to look the doors finding it by the window controls you flicked it on and heard the click at all four doors locked lokking up you saw the gate had stopped half way you spun the wheel throwing the scar around squeezing the car throuh the gate clipping the wing mirror off in the process putting your foot down you gave a triumphant shout as you tore down the road away from that house. Leaning back into the seat relaxing as you made yourway towards the town, it was the only way to get to the motorway that would lead out of the area. You wiped tears from your eyes as as relief flooded you sobs wracked your body the drive to the town took longer than you thought it would and you were suspicious as no one had chased you from the house and had spent the whole drive flinching at every car that pulled up behind you. Pulling up to a round about you stopped recognising the area deciding to take a less busy route pulling off to the outskirts of town you parked up into a superstore looking threw the car for money finding a few £20 notes a tap at the window you screamed turning it was a police officer you gulped looking in the rearveiw mirror seeing a squad car pulled up behind you blocking you in, he indicated for you to roll down the window.
"Yes can i help you?" You asked trying to sound normal
"Miss did you realise your missing a wing mirror?" You followed his gaze and smiled meekly. Getting a bad feeling in your gut.
"Yes, its my boyfreids car i borrowed it and hit a sign back there im going to book it in now hopefully get it done and he wont find out i hurt his baby" you ended with a chuckle patting the steering wheel he didn't look convinced and motioned for his colleague to join him
"Uh huh, so are you insured to drive this car? Sure you didnt hit another car?" You shook your head
" Well i hope im insured he said hed made me a name driver and no i didnt hit anyone, the car caught me by suprize i hadnt realised how much oommf it had and still getting used to the size its a bit wider then mine." You explained hoping you were convincing enough he smiled the held out his hand to you.
"Can i see your licence?" You froze then pretended to look around the car for it
"Oh shit i dont have my bag on me sorry can i give you my name instead and you can look it up on the system?" You pleaded hoping that he would let this one go
"So you dont have your purse on you? When your taking his car to the garage to get it fixed?.... yeah im gonna have to ask you to step out of the car now." He said moving back from the door you looked behind you panicking there was no way to pull out.
"Wh-what? Why?" You cried out as he put his hand in the car opeing the door
"No! No you cant do this you dont understand please!" You shouted at him as he undid your seatbelt pulling you out of the car cuffing your hands behind your back reading you your rights.
"Your under arrest for car theft, careless driving and driving with out insurance , you have the right to remain silent anything you do say can harm your defence and used in court ,Call it in we found Mr cavills car" you froze, hed called in that his car had been stolen. He used the police to track you. You wailed twisting against him as you realised why no one had chased you, he was using the police to bring you back to him.you cried as he dragged you to the squad car.
"NO! You dont understand he kidnapped me! Please you have to let me go! He's mad he locked me up please you have to help me." You kicked out as he forced you into the back seat on the car slamming the door you sobbed in the back seat as they locked up the jag and got in the front of the car.
"Please do make me go back i dont know what he'll do" you cried pitifully they sighed looking at you threw the plexiglass.
"Im sorry love there's nothing we can do for you... i wish there was but its our asses on the line" then he started the car driving towards the station. It wasnt long befor you found yourself in a cell heavy metal door between you and your escape laying on the bed crying and terrified of whats to come. Panicking everytime you heard foot steps down the hall thinking it was him. It was over an hour later when you jumped as the heavy lock on your door opened with a loud bang revealing a calm looking Henry standing beside a sympathetic looking officer he shooed them away.
"Give us a minute" he didnt take his eyes off you as he stepped into the room seemed to take over the small space you shuddered backing away from him sending a pleading look to the officer who ingored you and left.
"Well pet have you got that out of your system now?" He said crossing the cell in large strides his suit jacket hung over one arm that was in his pocket. You shook your head crying
"Pl-please im sorry i-i had to" you flinched as he brought his hand to your face. Smoothing back your hair
"Sshhh shh its ok now everything is going to be fine" he calmed you pulling his outher hand up wiping your tears away before for twisting his fist in your hair you yelped clawing at his hand trying to relieve the pain in your scalp.
"You've been a very very naughty girl havent you?" He tugged your hair back forcing you to look at him still wiping your face with his other. It summed him up caring and kind yet brutal and cruel. He grinned a sadistic grin
"I should let you know that im not pressing charges, what kind of boyfreind would i be if i did?" He teased you letting you know he was told your cover story you cried in pain as he dragged you the few steps towards him forcing you onto your tip toes
"STOP! Please Henry your hurting me!" He tutted at you looking at his watch
"Three hours away from the house and were back to Henry? What happened to Daddy? Well it doesnt matter i hope now you realise that there is no escape. You cannot run or hide from me love i have eyes everywhere." He lowerd you back down releasing your hair clutching you to his chest trapping you in a strong grip as you sobbed shaking like a leaf more out of anxiety then anything else.
"Shh shh. its ok little one... i know its been a scary day getting out , nearly crashing into the gate and then being arrested? its all going to be ok, now that you've got this out of your system you can finally settle at home. Ihave been waiting for this little blow up from you i was beginning to think the gun fiasco was it" His words filled you with dread as you began to sink in this was it for you, that there was no way out, he would find you at some point. Rocking you backwards and forwards with your arms trapped at your side he tucked his nose into your hair kissing it every so often.
"Tho this is probably my fault it was enavitable for you to try and run again, i havent trained you properly yet, not givin you the attention you truly need, but dont worry we will start once we get home. I want you to know daddies not angry, no no he's just dissapointed" he pulled back draping his jacket over your shoulders.
"I hope you know that your still in serious trouble when we get home young lady i warned you this morning that youd regret playing up" he murmmerd into your ear as he walked you out of the cell down to the reception he didnt hold you because he didnt need to there was nowhere you could go.
"Mr cavill would you sign these ,I assume your not pressing charges?" Henry looked up winking at you
"No no my girlfriend couldnt help herself, she's like a child in that respect no self restraint. Never thinks of her consequences" You shuddered catching the his unspoken threat looking down as tears of humiliation the officer chuckled as Henry said this sighing his name
"Well she does look distraught, dont be to hard on the little thing I'd jump at the chance to drive one of those myself."
Henry laughed out loud drawing some attention from the others in the waiting room
"Oh dont you worry about her, she'll find a way to make it up to me somehow wont you babygirl" he said winding an arm around your waist pulling you against him squeezing his hand painfully tight. You looked down nodding hearing a few snickers and scoffs from women in seats behind you.
"Now apologize to the officer for wasting his time baby." You scowled up at him being met with a shit eating grin opening your mouth to tell him to fuck off thankfully you were interupted.
"Oh now thats not nessasary saving a tiny thing like her from herself isn't wasting time ..I'm glad I could help" Henry smiled at you kissing your cheek feeling please with himself.
"Now isnt that nice sweety. He's happy to help us" you gave a jerky nod as Henry finished the paperwork.
"I will have someone collect the car today" he called over his shoulder as he forced you along side him stopping before he got out of the door.
"Oh baby Wheres your shoes?" He asked smirking at you knowing damn well that he hasnt got you any, you felt the eyes of the other people on you as he shook his head picking you up cradling you recieveing a few awws and judgmental stares from the women. Unable to take it anymore you tucked your face into his neck crying.
"Im sorry please im so sorry i wont do anything like this again". He sighed pushing throught the doors and made his way to the car park climbing into the back or a range rover holding you in his lap as the car began moving.
"Its a little to late for sorry baby, daddy has to punish you for being an extremly naughty little girl. Stealing and damaging daddies car running away and getting arrested lying to the police? What kind of daddy would let you get away with all that?" You shuddered mind wandering what he had instore for you, not just for punishment but the training he mentioned in the cell you squirmed in his lap as you mulled it all over feeling sick to your stomach.

_________________________________
You weren’t exactly sure how you got to bed that night but you presume it had been Bucky that had carried you, the two of you had ended up watching another few episodes of Criminal Minds before staying up for a while just talking. No nightmares tonight, you just couldn’t sleep well and this was not new to you since a good night's sleep seemed a milliion miles away at all times. You glanced over at the clock and 4:23AM glared back at you in neon green, Bucky was probably up already anyways and it had become almost routine for you to be together before everyone else woke up.
You really didn’t feel like sparring or working out this morning but you wanted to be around someone else, you crawled out of bed and pulled on some lounge clothes before crankily wandering to find Bucky. You quietly asked JARVIS where he was after you didn’t find him in the kitchen or in the gym, JARVIS responded that Mr. Barnes was on the roof.  A small smile found its way to your lips, Bucky went to the roof when he was thinking and you knew he didn’t know why he found his way up there. You always guessed it was a way for him to find higher ground, he was a sniper at heart and that was where his head would start to clear itself. You took the elevator to the top floor and then walked up the cement stairs and pushed open the heavy door that let out onto the roof.
Bucky was bent over with his forearms resting on the ledge looking over the city, he didn’t turn to look to see who was joining him. You walked to stand next to him, your hand finding his shoulder and giving it a reassuring squeeze. Bucky went silent sometimes and he didn’t need you to distract him, he just needed someone to weather the storm with him and you were good at that. Steve had said once that you brought a peace that he never could to Bucky, you had reminded him that it was because you had suffered in nearly identical horrors while you were in captivity. You stood like that for a long time, the sky started to turn pink when he turned to you and your heart ached for what you saw in his eyes: pure agony, regret, loss, anger. You slowly reached for his face, he closed his eyes when your palm cupped his cheek and he leaned into the touch. This man was broken but so were you.
“Thank you.”
It was so quiet that you almost missed it, and if you hadn’t been touching his face you doubt you would have heard it at all. Your thumb stroked his cheek softly before you let your hand drop.
“Always.”
His eyes opened and his baby blues searched your face and whatever he saw there seemed to make him believe you.
“Did you have a nightmare?” he asked softly.
“No, I just coudln’t sleep,” you murmured back.
Bucky nodded and you both turned back to watch the sun rise, you wanted to hold his hand but you were too chicken. You could walk in a room full of guys with guns and make a smart ass comment and not even be slightly scared but the thought of holding Bucky’s hand absolutely terrified you. Not that you weren’t content with how things were now, you were and if he wanted things to stay this way then you would be okay with that. Deep inside of you there was this voice that kept shouting that this man would be the one, the one who always understood, who would always be there for you, the one who would never judge you, who would always be there to turn your frown into a grin. The one. You constantly told that voice to shut the fuck up because you weren’t about to ruin the best friendship you had with this man, and you wouldn’t be able to bear if he didn’t feel the same way.
“You want breakfast, doll?” Bucky asked, glancing over with a small smile pulling at his lips.
“If you’re cooking then absolutely,” you grinned cheekily at him.
He rolled his eyes and placed a hand on his chest dramatically, “I see how it is, you’re using me!”
“You’re damn right I am, those chocolate chip pancakes don’t make themselves!” You replied with a laugh.
Bucky couldn’t help but return the laugh and you both made your way downt to the kitchen, it was still early enough that no one else was awake. You sat at the bar and watched Bucky start pouring things into a bowl and just whisk away at the batter, he seemed to enjoy making breakfast and you figured it was because of his mom and sister. He never talked about them and you respected that because you didn’t want to talk about your family either, although yours was still alive.
“Hello? Earth to Y/N!” Bucky waved his hand in front of your face.
You snapped out of your head and smiled sheepishly at the man in front of you whose face was now concerned.
“Sorry, what did you say?”
“No sorries, remember? I just asked if you want to add your own chocolate chips,” Bucky said, motioning to the bowl.
“OH, yes that's my favorite part!” You exclaimed and jumped off the barstool. Bucky chuckled and poured the batter into the skillet and you dropped a handful of chocolate chips on the batter expertly.
The two of you managed to make about twelve pancakes that were exploding with chocolate chips, he took a stack of six and you took a generous three although you knew you probably wouldn’t finish them. You and Bucky were stuffing your faces when Steve walked into the kitchen, Steve chuckled at the sight of the two of you. Bucky flipped him off and pointed to the rest of the pancakes sitting next to the stove and Steve grabbed a stack from the plate and dug in at the bar next to you and Bucky.
“What the hell is this?” Sam asked when he wandered in shortly after.
“Shut your face or stuff your face, birdbrain,” you said between giant bites of chocolate gooeyness. Bucky snorted at your quip and offered his fist which of course you pounded with yours and Sam narrowed his eyes at the two of you.
“I don’t like this. I don’t like this at all,” Sam said, pointing at you two.
“I believe the lady already so eloquently said ‘Shut your face or stuff your face,’” Bucky grunted at him.
Sam made an exasperated sound before grabbing the remainder of the pancakes and sat down to eat.
“We’re watching the last movie tonight, I say we do an early showing and then grab dinner and discuss the movies and then Bucky can give his decision,” Steve suggested.
“Sounds good to me,” you said, getting up and clearing your dishes off.
You started to load dishes and clean the kitchen, the boys started chatting about something Tony was working on. You turned to grab the dishes from them and Bucky caught your eye and he gave you a pointed look that you knew he knew you understood. You don’t have to do that. And you sent him one back with a small smile and a slight shake of your head, because of
course you didn’t have to but some of what your mother had instilled in you remained.
Later that afternoon the four of you gathered in the media room, you had grabbed some snacks because you were starving and you knew Bucky would munch on them with you. You perched in your normal spot and Bucky plopped down next to you and shoved his hand into the bag of chips you had in your hand.
“You read my mind, doll,” he grumbled around the chips in his mouth.
You grinned at him and popped a few in your mouth, Steve and Sam were bickering over something on the other couch. You called for JARVIS to start the Little Mermaid and almost immediately the Disney music cued up and the scene was set. Bucky was dialed in almost immediately, you smiled softly at him being so focused on the movie. You watched him smile at Sebastian’s drama and he chuckled at the hidden adult humor, and you forced yourself to watch Ariel sing about her knick knacks. Bucky stretched suddenly and his arm found its way around your shoulders, your heart pounded and you shifted so that you were pressed into his side.
Butterflies in your stomach were going absolutely bezerk, your palms were sweating and the warmth radiating from the man next to you was lighting your blood on fire. You cautiously peered up at Bucky and he seemed focused on the movie, feeling your gaze he peered down at you and smiled softly.
“I can’t focus on the greatest Disney princess movie of all time if you’re staring at me, doll,” he whispered.
You flushed and whispered back, “Sorry.”
Bucky turned back to the movie and you forced yourself to do the same, you watched the movie distractedly, Ariel was currently singing her voice away to Ursula. Your brain was going a hundred miles an hour thinking about his arm around your shoulders and what it meant. You watched Ariel make her way through the kingdom with Prince Eric, your favorite scene was coming up. As Kiss the Girl started pouring through the speakers, you sensed Bucky tense slightly and you glanced up to see him peering down at you. You offered a smile and he returned it, his eyes flicked down to your lips and lingered there for a second, Your heart was now thundering out of your chest and you knew he could hear it, his baby blues found yours and he leaned down and pressed his lips to yours. You shut your eyes and relished as his lips parted and his tongue swept throught your mouth, you felt an almost indescribable pleasure sweep through your whole body.
Your hand wrapped around the back of his neck and pulled him further into you, your lips moved with his and your tongues tangled lazily. Bucky caught your lip between his teeth and your breath caught and you instantly got wet, you couldn’t help but let out a whimper.
“Seriously, y’all? We are right here!” Sam cried, gagging and making wretching sounds.
You pulled away and Bucky looked like he wanted to do murder because it ended, and you gave him a reassuring smile. For the rest of the movie, you snuggled into Bucky’s side as close as you physically could, his arm was wrapped tightly around you. Your body felt like it was humming with energy and you were sick of not having your lips on him, you turned your head and tasted his neck. Bucky’s hand tightened on your hip and you gave a teasing nip, he made a gutteral sound in his throat and you couldn’t help but trace the area with your tongue.
“Doll, you gotta stop, I can barely keep myself in check,” Bucky whispered into your hair.
You pouted and pulled away, forcing yourself to patiently watch the rest of the movie. The credits finally rolled and Bucky swept you off the couch and into his arms, you were out of the media room and in the elevator before you knew it. His lips crashed into yours and you moaned into his mouth as your tongue teased his, Bucky groaned as your hands tangled in his hair and pulled. The doors dinged upon your arrival and Bucky carried you into his room, he tossed you on his bed and pulled his shirt off before crawling over you.
“God, I’ve wanted to do this for so fucking long,” he groaned before his lips grazed yours.
His hands roamed your body and pulled at your clothes, you pulled your shirt over your head before you yanked his lips to yours. A fire started deep in your belly and you savored the feeling of his body on yours, Bucky caught your bottom lip between his teeth and the nip of pain made your core clench. The whimper you let out seemed to make him go even wilder, he literally ripped your pants clean off your body.
“Fuck,” you whispered.
“I’m trying, baby,” he teased as he kissed his way down your body.
The first touch of his tongue between your thighs was your undoing, you were a mess and writhing on his tongue. His large hands slid under you and held you to his mouth, he sucked on the bundle of nerves at the top of your core. Wave after wave of pleasure rolled through you and you couldn’t hold your moans and whimpers in as Bucky kept pleasuring you with his sinful mouth. Your fingers tunneled through his hair and you gently pulled so that he finally relented, your body collapsed against the sheets.
“I need you,” you moaned, tugging sharply on the strands of chestnut hair in your grasp.
His blue irises were nearly black because his pupils were so big, his lips were glistening with your slick and the sight of him like this made your heart clench. Bucky hurriedly shoved his pants until he could kick them off and you pulled him in to kiss you by the nape of his neck. His lips hungrily melded with yours and you could taste yourself on his tongue, he groaned into your mouth when your hand wrapped around his member. You pulled Bucky gently into you and guided his member into your sex, you hissed at the sheer size of him but the fullness was heavenly. Bucky lowered his hips until he was fully inside of you and you could feel your channel adjusting to his shaft.
“Fuck, baby, you feel fucking amazing,” he groaned.
“Bucky, I… I need you to move,” you moaned.
He slid out and then slowly back in, you felt electric as he started to pick up rhythm. Your tongues tangled, you were on fire with feeling as he kept a tortuous pace slamming into you. You wrapped your legs around him and then proceeded to flip the both of you so you were on top of him, his blue eyes darkened as he watched you roll your hips in a way that his shaft was hitting that spot inside you. Your eyes rolled into the back of your head as you whipped your body as fast as you could, Bucky’s jaw was clenched so tight you thought it might shatter. His large hands covered your breasts and he rolled your nipples and that sent you tumbling over the edge. You couldn’t hold in your moans and cries, Bucky flipped you onto your back and his hurried thrusts prolonged your orgasm. He let out a hoarse shout and cried out your name as his release came and he collapsed on top of you panting hard.
“That was… incredible,” you whispered while trying to regulate your breathing.
“You’re incredible,” Bucky said into your ear.
“So… what now?”
Bucky lifted himself off of you and pressed a kiss to your lips gently, his eyes searched yours and he gave you a reassuring smile.
“Now you’re mine, if you wanna be, doll.”
A huge grin spread across your face and you pulled his lips back to yours and kissed him properly.
“Now I’m yours.”

Your eyes behind your veil are doves
It's like dying, the Fall.
Crowley can feel it all, the holy fire burning his skin, his face, his wings.
He opens the eyes he's closed in silent terror and looks at the sky to see the sun, and then, just then, he feels the real burn, burn like he'd never felt before.
To be so bound, so ashedn, so broken and yet to hit the ground.
The hair's grown back and so did the feathers, but their serene white was gone.
Crowley didn't mind. He found the slick black more fitting anyways, he didn't find his newly grown wing disgusting or ugly, an abomination, a sign of his demise, how he'd fail, did something wrong, fallen, fallen, fallen, just a part of the Great Plan.
He didn't, did he?
He saw him first in the Beginning.
There was something about him that made Crowley wonder if perhaps he'd share his faith. He couldn't say he'd mind the thought.
And so he never did. He'd been too good for that, too pure, too innocent, and his name should make Crowley choke on his tounge but it never really did. He shared his kindness with him the day they met, shielded him from the rain and it felt just bittersweet.
There are little temptations, small sins served on a silver plate, but Aziraphale never gives in, that nervous, kind smile always present on his face and soon enough it's Crowley who gives up.
"You'd look good in black" he says once, nonchalantly.
The response it quiet.
"You'd look good in white, perhaps."
They don't look at each others again that night.
The heat kisses Crowley's face as he walks into the burning bookshop. Flames dance around him, mock him, sing – you've lost it now, the only precious thing – and, God, it burns worse than the fall ever could.
It feels like they've lost everything for a while but they didn't.
They're curled up on Crowley's bed, turned to opposite walls, backs almost touching but not quite there yet.
Aziraphale doesn't sleep, he never does, but the softness of the matress soothes his weary bones. Crowley on the other hand seems fast asleep, and it's dark so when the angel turns slightly to hook his fingers into the Demon's undershirt he can't see the grimace of pain on his face.
The bookshop reappears the next morning so there's no need to stay another night. There's also no need for Crowley to lounge on Alizaphale's antique and uncomfortable sofa, but when you've been around for over 6000 years you find out that there isn't, but also there is a need for everything.
It was calming, really, just being there, watching Aziraphale's well manicured hands brush against old pages. Crowley dared wander how those hands would feel on his bare skin. A ray of sunshine shone through the window and found it's place in Aziraphale's hair. Crowley watched untill his eyelids get too heavy to keep up.
It''s like dying, the Fall.
Crowley sees it clearly now, the way his wings are burning, feathers falling out one by one, leaving only a charred spine, his hair burning like he's a bizzare match, and his eyes, oh his poor eyes, blistering from the sun, anguish, total agony on his face as his Aziraphale hits the ground, trembling, miserable, fallen. Crowley feels the sob escaping his throat, tears staining his cheeks as he tries to reach the Angel, oh, but he's an Angel no more, Crowley thinks, just how I once wished.
Aziraphale turns to him before Crowley can hold him and looks at him like he'd never looked at him before, his eyes empty and lifeless as two words fall from his lips.
"Your fault..."
Crowley wake up screaming, trembling hands reaching, but he doesn't open his eyes, nightmarish images stuck behind his eyelids.
There's something holding him down, the Angels or the Demons, taunting and torturing him with the scene, and then...
"Crowley, dear boy, I'm here, I'm here.."
There's a weight on Crowley's lap, gentle fingers brushing his hair out of his sweaty temples, fingers resting on his cheek and it aches, it's so painful, it's unbearable, it fucking hurts.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry Angel, I'm so sorry, it's all ma fault..." - Crowley's face is stained with tears and he chokes on his words.
"Look at me." - he hears, "Open up your eyes."
The voice is strong and commanding, shaking Crowley to the core, and he has no other choice than to do what he's told.
He's surrounded, he realises.
Aziraphale's on his lap, their faces inches from each others and his wings, his beautiful wings, they wrap around their frames, obscuring them from the rest of the world, wrapped like a cocoon around them, so big, so pure, so holy. Unable to avert his gaze from the feathers Crowley falls silent, disbelief forming on his face.
"I...I didn't make you fall?"
"What? No, dear, how could you ever?" Aziraphale's voice is strained now, nothing like before, tainted with worry.
He gently holds Crowley's face and turns it slightly so he can look him in the eyes.
"I'm here," he says, "I'm here, you're here, everything's fine, dear boy".
Crowley's feverish gaze finally focus on Aziraphale's face. It's pale, distrought, and so, so real.
He slowly raises his hands to that face, tracing every part of it with the most delicate touch. The wings around them tighten just a little.
"You're here" Crowley sights and falls into Aziraphale.
The day passes and the night falls.
Aziraphale's wings don't surround them anymore, instead stretching their full lenght throught the backroom of his bookshop. Crowley's face rests in the crook of Aziraphale's neck, Aziraphale's mouth near Crowley's ear.
"How beautiful you are, my darling," he whispers. Crowley shifts in his position a bit, looking up. Aziraphale smiles softly. "Oh, how beautiful – your eyes behind your veil are doves".
In the morning Crowley speaks.
"I used to wish you''d fall, Angel".
Aziraphale doesn't react, but Crowley knows he's listening. "Used to wish to have you on my side". He looks down in shame. "To have you".
The arms wrapped around Crowley, surprisingly, don't pull away.
"And then...when I've known you, I still wished for it, but I also couldn't bear the thought. I thought of you falling, burning, and I'd remember how it hurt". Crowley's voice raises a bit as he feels soft, comforting touch at the base of his spine.
"It hurt so bad, Aziraphale. I started fearing it. Started fearing the day you'd burst into flames and it would be my fault, my hollow temptations that'd bring you down, I was sure, but every time I tried to get away from you, tried to leave you be I'd end up getting closer. I'm selfish Aziraphale, I'm so selfish..." the words were spilling out of Crowley's mouth, hysteria building up in his chest again untill Aziraphale's lips met his to stop them both from drowning.
They stay like this for a bit, frozen in time, and then Aziraphale gently pulls away.
"I am on your side, Crowley. Our side. Always been even if I didn't really understand back then." His lips brush against Crowley's chin, nose, temples. "But I don't think I'd ever fall for this, dear". His fingers curl in Crowley's hair.
"This thing is the most precious for me". A soft glow illuminate the room as Aziraphale's halo lights up.
'You see, Crowley, this precious love for you is the most holy thing in me".
They go to Ritz in the evening and order everything off the menu.
Aziraphale laughs at something that Crowley has said and squeezes his hand. Crowley doesn't feel the ache.

Sarnai Tsaatan couldn't think. What had happened? Where was she? Where were the others? /Who/ were the others? She remembered the strangers, the ones who'd fought the-- oh. With a groan, she pried her eyes open and found this wasn't where they had fought. Pushing herself up, she turned her head from side to side. "Who... where?"
Ilakha Moks turned her head suddenly towards Sarnai before going to rise to her feet, abandoning the bottle of echo drops she had prepared by the side of the bed roll. "Sarnai Boo," she addressed the elder. "How are you feeling? You are far from base of Mount Baagarav. You and your people are safe now. Getelgekh and the Sunid has been defeated."
Sarnai Tsaatan studied Ilakha for a moment. "They are safe," she breathed. "Good." She shifted on the bed with a soft noise, closing her eyes. "I am well enough. What happened? Where are they? Those who fought Getelgekh, the Sunid... are they well?"
Ilakha Moks folded her hands gently. "Your people are 'round this camp, Sarnai Boo. They helped me set up this thing you called an 'ortz'... we have several. The others I comed with, they are also resting. Getelgekh was a tough fight. They got great injuries but will be fine with some rest and time. Me and my big brother Sali... we finded the ovoo you maked as a SOS. We followed your signal after we finded out the Sunid maked the Oroq and the Noykin fight each other."
Sarnai Tsaatan nodded slightly, her eyes still closed. So it was not just them the bloodthirsty tribe had set their sights upon... "But they are gone now?" She murmured with a slow breath. Slowly, she reopened her eyes, focusing them back onto the girl intently. "Who are you?"
Ilakha Moks 's yellow eyes looked to the side for a moment. "...we are out of their region. They are gone for now. If you travel back up the Tail Mountains you should not be bothered, but I wonder what will happen for the rest of your reindeer." Then, she focused back on the elder, offering a faint smile. Her hand rested on her chest. "I am Ilakha. I was adopted by the Noykin tribe and then the Kotodama clan. It is good to meet you, Sarnai Boo."
Sarnai Tsaatan seemed displeased at that. Leaving them behind was unthinkable. Something would have to be figured out, but later... "Ilakha... how odd." She treated her to a heavier scrutiny now, before she shook her head. "I had a granddaughter once, with that name."
Ilakha Moks 's face lit up at that, her smile reaching her eyes. "Really? How nice! How old is she-" Oh. 'Had'. 'Once'. Ilakha, you idiot. "Oh, I mean... I am sorry..." Solemnly, she turned to collect the bottle of echo drops she had set aside. "These are for you, in case the aetherial gaol effected you and caused magical resistance in any way..." Then, she passed the bottle over to the udgan quietly.
Sarnai Tsaatan took the offered bottle, but only stared at it, curling her fingers around them. "It has been several winters, I have made all the peace I will be able to find. But thank you." Her grip tightened marginally. "Strange enough, you look a bit like her mother -- but, ah. Forgive my rambling. Recent events have brought it to mind."
Ilakha Moks 's tail flickered, her gaze a bit distant at that comment. She shook her head gently. "No, no, you can say what you wish, Great Elder," she responded. "I do not mind lending a horn..." She fidgeted a little, giving a nervous smile. She had questions, but it felt impolite to admit to it. Still, an overwhelming curiosity overcame her. "...your people said they splitted from the Sunid some time ago. They related to the Kagon. Then they splitted again into sects. I think is fascinating..." She started having difficult flashbacks of the burnt plains, the destroyed iloh she was forbidden from ever roaming. The site where she was found. "...in truth... from the artifacts where I was finded, the Sunid are the reason I was adopted into Noykin tribe, too... my parents finded me in a river nearby an iloh with Sunid weapons. Only now I realized they was Sunid weapons, though..."
Sarnai TsaatanZalera was silent as Ilakha spoke, and remained so for a while after. So she'd been affected by them, too... How funny it was that she, too, had been -- wait. Something was adding up, and she squinted. "How old are you, Ilakha of the Noykin?" Coincidences could be coincidences, but this was suspect. How many girls could there be who would be called Ilakha instead of Ibakha? How many more would have been left behind by a Sunid attack? How many still would look strikingly like her daughter? Yet... her granddaughter had been killed, had she not? They had never been certain, but...
Ilakha Moks blinked, then squared her shoulders. "I am seventeen summers old," she replied in a steady voice. She said nothing more, not wanting to pry into the source of the elder's question. However, something about Sarnai Boo's silence took her off guard in a way she couldn't describe. It was apparent in the way she raised her brows.
Sarnai Tsaatan fell silent once more, turning her gaze to her lap. "More and more you sound like her," she murmured. "You bear her name, you bear a face like her mother's, you are as old as she is." She breathed slowly. "And you have found yourself left behind in a iloh after a Sunid attack. Yet, I doubt she is alive... how strange this is."
Ilakha Moks 's fingers curled together, as if she was trying to grasp for something that wasn't there. "...wait," she began. "I... I have a blanket I carry in my personal things that I was finded with. It makes me think of my home... is really weared down now, but... I want you to see it." Briefly, she turned to open up her satchel but the opposite bed roll and took out a dull red cloth. What shade it would have been wasn't apparent, but the weaving style was very distinct. "Sarnai Boo... what does this look like to you, if I may ask?" She presented the worn blanket to the elder slowly, the tattered sheet threadbare at its corners.
Sarnai Tsaatan removed herself from under the covers, pushing herself into a kneel as the cloth was held out to her. Perhaps it should've been hard to tell, but Sarnai would've been able to recognize it anywhere. "This is Tsaatan weaving. You were found with this?" She asked softly, keeping her gaze on the threads as she spoke. It was difficult to pull her attention away, but she turned her eyes towards Ilakha's eventually.
Ilakha Moks bobbed her head rapidly. "Yes, I was finded with this when I was a baby." Her gaze lowered to the cloth, her voice growing softer than usual. "I... I keeped it with me after I was raised with it. That maybe I may find some sign of my birth home..." Her vision began to blur as her eyes moistened. Part of her wanted to ask if Sarnai's declaration was certain, but her being the chief udgan and leader of the western sect, she had to be, right?
Sarnai Tsaatan blinked. Her own eyes remained dry, but she still pressed her lips together. "I believe you have found it." Was all she managed to say. Slowly, she opened her arms, just slightly. No pressure, but leaving it there for Ilakha to choose.
Ilakha Moks curled into Sarnai's embrace, wrapping her arms around the woman's shoulders. "Grandma..." She didn't manage much before her body was wracked with sobs. She buried her face into the cloth of Sarnai's deel as the rest of her form sprawled out next to the bed roll. Her forlorn wails broke throught the quiet night.
Sarnai Tsaatan was beyond joy as her granddaughter folded into her arms for the first time in so many hard, hard winters. "Oh, Ilakha, sweet Ilakha..." She whispered as she pulled her closer, more securely. "It's you, you're safe, you're alive." Gently, she began rocking as a hand made its way onto Ilakha's head, stroking her hair. She'd never thought she'd see her again. Her own tears began making their appearance, and she gave a sigh, releasing built up tension. "Oh... oh, you've made it home. Oh, your mother - she will be so glad to know you're alive!"
Ilakha Moks shivered from the force of her cries. "Grandma, I am never gonna let you go!" she declared, her voice shaking but not cracking. Then, she looked up to Sarnai, tears still streaming down her scaled cheeks from her reddened eyes. "My parents... my parents! They are still 'round? They are... they are Tsaatan, too?"
Sarnai Tsaatan hummed, rubbing circles on her back. "We will not lose you again. Do not worry. Your mother, she is alive and well, she is in the Tail Mountains. Your father," her face twisted into a small grimace, "I'm sorry. He was killed a long time ago. And... he is not Tsaatan, but a Wood-warder. He was..." She trailed off, patting her shoulder reassuringly as she thought. "He was a good man."
Ilakha Moks listened to her grandmother quietly. "My mother... she is okay..." Then, at the mention of her father, her eyes widened. "How... how can that be? I knowed the western sect Tsaatan lived in the Skatay Range, but... for my /father/ to be a Viera... do they not stay 'way from society...?" She looked to her hand, as if expecting something to happen there. "Does that mean... I have Viera blood, then...?" This was a lot for Ilakha to digest in one sitting!
Sarnai Tsaatan almost chuckled at Ilakha's shock. "It does. Normally, they do. And he did." Her lips thinned into a wry expression. "Essentially, your mother, she was a powerful healer who became an adventurer. She eventually went to study the Orbonne Monastery in Golmore." She clicked her tongue. "It was there she ran into resistence from a Wood-warder. Yet, being stubborn as she was, she did not give up the first time. Or the second. It made your father curious." A sigh fell from the elder, a mixture of amusement and dismay. "Something about that had drawn your mother and father together. So they lived together in the wilderness of Dalmasca, where they had you."
Ilakha Moks 's tear-stained face lowered for a moment as she took in the new information. "Orbonne Monastery... in Dalmasca? I... I have a good friend who is Dalmascan! She is my clan-sister!" Then, she paused. "...so... we are sisters of Dalmasca then, too. Our family is..." Her eyes brightened. "Grandma, you must meet my adopted family! We taked care of and love each other. Sali and Sechen and Uncle Arav... now we can all be together forever!"
Sarnai Tsaatan reached up to her cheek to wipe away the tracks left there. "In time, in time." She nodded gently. "Until then, tell me about them. You said Sali is your older brother, yes?"
Ilakha Moks felt a pang of grief for her father, though she had never met him, but all the same, relief she could meet with her mother again. At Sarnai Boo's question, she nodded, sniffling thickly. "I was 'dopted into his family. They... they are actually not Noykin, Grandma. He is Moks. They are pacifists like the Tsaatan, but they hide inside other tribes. So he pretends to be Noykin. Cousin Sechen and Uncle Arav are Moks, too, but they live inside Ugund tribe. I am gonna tell them all 'bout the Tsaatan that I learn and you can tell them, too!"
Sarnai Tsaatan adjusted her hold on Ilakha, patting her shoulder. "We both have much to share, it seems. Let me tell you of our people. As you know, we were once of the Kagon..."
