#portwell #they deserve it #and also because this is one of my favourite songs from the whole hsm series #I stared at the flower print dress and thought about animating that and said uh no put her in pink #drawing her braids without animating is already a pain but her braids are so cute.... #tbh I've never drawn Real People there was a part of me that went YOU NEED TO PAINT THEM TO MAKE THEM LOOK MORE LIKE THE ACTORS #but then I wouldn't be able to animate them without spending a whole month painting #and the point of this was animation LOL #anyway this turned out slightly better than I expected #I had a couple of extra hair movement frames but ultimately realised they muddied the flow and added nothing #that's today's takeaway from animation practice! #if anyone told me 5 years ago that my first human gif animation in years would be of a disney teen show with melodrama and a broken ship #I wouldn't believe them lol #but here we are #hsmtmts #my scribbles

2) Speaking of Goromi, I never would have expected RGGO to make any other card of her besides the 3D one. They made that beach Majima card and have been feeling very daring. Sexy Mine beach thirst trap is not alone anymore

Nice to see this article about Barbie Fashion Designer on Kotaku, but also genuinely amazed that apparently "we" forgot all about Barbie Fashion Designer, probably the second best video game I have ever played.

#I hadn't been aware that this was sort of a breakthrough moment in 'games for girls' #I just thought it was a fun computer game #I also thought that the touch typing program my dad got for me was a fun computer game though #I can't remember if I had any success printing out the patterns on the special paper but I do remember the special paper? #I mostly just designed the clothes and did the bit where Barbie modelled them #she wouldn't go down the runway if you didn't pick shoes #she would say 'don't forget my shoes!' and you'd have to pick something before you could see the catwalk animation #however she would walk the runway wearing only shoes and her underwear #but I would never question the internal consistency of barbie's standards of dress #it is not for me to second guess barbara millicent roberts #also apparently digital domain was also working on the effects for titanic at the time #and the lead programmer on the barbie fashion designer project was pissed off with them for stealing all their server time #and called it 'that stupid boat movie'
