i just started watching outer banks and they kill a manta ray "to eat" and the bloody wound on the animals seemed so realistic idk :/. does Netflux harms animals?

I am not familiar with this media and can’t find any reference to this scene and the animal involved. Fish don’t have animal welfare laws that apply to them anywhere in the world, but if the animal actually was a manta ray then they can’t have been harmed on screen, as the conservation status of both species would make it illegal. There are plenty of other types of rays though and many lack such protections.

As a general answer though, animals are frequently harmed by Netflix and others. You won’t see mammals purposely hurt but insects and fish are another story, fishing is common in shows with live fish and real meat is served in many shows of course. Animals are frequently harmed in entertainment, even if it’s not as explicit as what you’re describing here.

anyway im tired of people treating Disney (corporate) and Disney (writing and directing staff) as a monolith. yes Disney (corporate) funds massive anti gay legislature. yes Disney (corporate) only recognizes demographics in terms of how much profit they can bring. but trans guy in Baymax isn't an evil trap put there by the shareholders to draw in queers and wring us of money. the trans guy in Baymax exists because in the writing room a bunch of storyboarders and storytellers were spitballing "hey, what people do we need here?" and one of the answers that came up was "trans guy" from a person who sincerely believed that representation was not only valuable but necessary. there are real people making every choice you see and hear. you can hate how corporate feigns blasé without assuming it's all some premeditated plan. you can be rightfully suspicious of corporate motivation without erasing the artists with their own motivations

#this doesnt just apply to baymax but its the most recent example #it can be forgiven that people dont know/think about how the indistry works #but if youre going to critique the actions of a company you need to be aware that not every party involved would do the same thing #and before anyone clowns: #disney has a monopoly on western entertainment and production and animators routinely bounce between jobs #nobody who disagrees w Disney policy can afford to *just leave* disney

stupid lil au/just thing ive been thinking about for the past couple days (^ᴗ^)

superstar daycare grand opening ..,,... fbheugsdj

so ,,,, basically,,, yn (who has 0 childcare training, mind you, only previous petcare background) gets hired for a daycare position, under the impression they will be receiving training on site. sun (and moon, by extension) have just been converted to a daycare bot with some childcare protocols messily slapped into their existing code. the code is, frankly, very shoddily put together. at least one human being was legally required to be present with the children so they weren't alone with a robot, so that's where yn comes in.

the daycare's grand opening is coming up. shenagans ensue.

The first card I ever painted for Hearthstone is finally going to be released in the latest patch. :) It was originally intended for the music festival theme, hence the singing, but things get yoinked for balance.
