Either he agrees and it earns him a chance to stay by the bard’s side, or he doesn’t and he eventually gets caught and brought back to the palace. Only one of those choices has significantly better odds not to end up with his head delivered to his brother in a box.

“This… magical interrogation,” he asks, imitating the gesture Jaskier did before in an attempt to pass off as casual “What would it entail?”
