I think this composition shows that although Astarion himself is a puppet for as long as his Master exists, this will not stop from pulling any strings necessary to ensure his survival. No matter how much they might strain on him because anything is better than returning to him.

Forgive me if you've already addressed this, but I'm very interested in learning how Greygold reacts to Raphael.

Greygold could never take Mr. Deal-or-no-deal seriously. Nonetheless, they thought perhaps this guy had as much friendship potential as everyone else if the situation ever presented itself.

Unfortunately, the situation presented Hope, so....Nope nope nope!

the bard is pining and it’s not a good look on him

On unsteady feet, and with an unsteadier heart yet, Eddie turns abruptly and all but stumbles his way back through the large doors and into the ballroom, which has filled with more guests and more servants and more people who will steal the air from right beneath his nose.

It leaves him frazzled and shaking, and his heart falls anew when he realises that he needs to cross the room to leave.

As if pulled in by string or higher power, Eddie finds Lord Harrington immediately, the man’s broad back turned toward him as he watches his friend — the bard with daggers in her eyes — approach the dais, lute in one hand and flute in the other. It’s a thin one, and made not of wood but of some kind of metal, and Eddie feels a flash of jealousy at her blatant display of talent and proficiency in more instruments than one. Even greater jealousy still when Lord Harrington keeps his attention on her — oh, and how well Eddie is acquainted with his attention, heavy and intense and leaving him hungry for more. Starving.

He yearns for it. Longs to approach the stage and join the other bard as she begins to play, if only to be in the vicinity of that attention. That affection. All that gentle intensity.

*Leans into mic* If Wyll never made a deal with Mizora and/or after he breaks his pact with her, I think he would make an excellent Bard and here’s why.

Wyll’s highest stat is Charisma, which Bards use to cast

Bards are full casters which means Wyll still gets to keep his spells AND get plenty of them!

Among the list of weapons a Bard is proficient with, a Rapier is among them

Bards are best known for their Bardic Inspiration and Wyll is the perfect companion to give this to because he’s already very encouraging and giving him a magical means of aiding people with said encouragement would be perfect

Wyll would get healing spells which means Shadowheart wouldn’t be the only Origin Companion with them on the team

Bards are a very supportive class and I just think Wyll would enjoy that, especially if this is after being a Fiend Warlock, a very self serving class. The change of pace would be something to get used to but probably welcomed

The Bard Subclasses Colleges of Valor and Swords would be extremely fitting for Wyll considering both deal with Bards being able to be more physical fighters so he could help out on the frontlines OR stay back and provide help from afar, making them very well rounded. (Personally I think he would make a great Valor Bard but Swords Bard is also great for him)

Wyll would get Vicious Mockery. He would be hilarious with it.

Bards don’t need to play instruments to be a Bard, they can both use their way with words to cast spells OR use other forms of art if they so wish. Not only is Wyll charismatic but he loves to dance. He could cast spells while he dances. It would look amazing

I just think Wyll would make for a good Bard. Look at him. He would enjoy the class immensely

Thank you for your time. All of this came to me after I was trying to figure out an AU in which Wyll never met/made a deal with Mizora and was trying to figure out his class. I know you could argue Paladin but they rely a lot on strength, which Wyll is not known for, and Bards are way better for Charisma and Dex! Plus Paladins are half casters and I think Wyll deserves MORE spells actually.

Academic Rivals to Lovers

To the faculty, he was a ball of boundless potential. To the entire student body, he was an annoying know-it-all whose mouth never shut up, lest he was seconds away from getting caught.

Mr. Dekarios has always been quite the prodigy, or so the talk of the academy says. Showing exceptional wit and charm through his words and spell casting, it was no wonder he quickly gained Mystra’s favor.

So after having been abducted by the nautiloid, and asking help from the stranger on the other side of his portal, what happens when one Gale of Waterdeep looks up to meet the eyes of an old classmate?

More specifically, a classmate that, for some reason, always had a bone pick with him, and only him.

But he supposed he shouldn’t be too surprised. For a wizard’s competition lies in whose ambitions dominate the other.

Through Complicated Backgrounds

Thieving about was not a way in which any wizard would’ve chosen to start their careers, and yet there you were.

Well, it wasn’t stealing, really, if you needed it more, is it?

No one would help you, so you helped yourself. Taught yourself everything there would be to learn about the arcane and more, yet it is still not enough.

And you’ve come to know that it will never be enough.

For he, who had everything, and was everything, you ever wanted incarnate, was leagues ahead of you.

“You have a type, don’t you?”

In which the amnesiac Bhaalspawn seems to have taken an interest in one Gale of Waterdeep.

However after setting foot into Wyrm’s Crossing and being personally invited by the Archduke Enver Gortash, it would seem that Gale isn’t the first brainiac to have ignited something in the fellow Wizard.

Of Logic and Love

The pragmatic in you had never truly understood any, if not all, the intricacies that came with feeling.

Choosing the company of books and scrolls in your youth, you’ve never cared much for anything.

Never had to think about anyone.

Never had to deal with the ugly and bitter mess that would rend in your heart if you mulled over someone from time to time.

And falling in love with the one and only Gale of Waterdeep has only made it more difficult.

You will never understand the relationship he once shared with the Mistress of Magic.

You will never understand how he sees you in the relationship you share now.

And you will never understand the depths of his “feelings” for you.

june is not a sillygirl and this is so important . she absolutely acts like one and i do not judge the fandom for giving her sillygirl status in some memes ( i do sometimes ! ) but she is not . i think this is very interesting in the early acts when she bounces off of rose because it plays into their straightman funnyman dynamic . because at a glance june is the funnyman and rose is the straightman but if you actually look at some of their convos its usually the other way around ! this one comes to mind as the most obvious :

like idk it definitely isnt Abundant but i think these early convos are absolutely critical to read for this reason . i better not see ur asses skipping act one . the early acts are the seeds the rest of the comic is planted in !! it isnt all nonsense until act 4 or so ! rose is silly !! june is just kind of a nerd !!!
