jumpscares you with ishimondo blind date au doodles
Tumblr media
ok so a few days ago I was talking with @edgy-senju and like....big brain moments into actually developing the au more happened
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Mondo is texting Daiya)
rambling + more doodles down below
the context for these is that a few days prior to the blind date they had met already, but obviously really disliked each other in the end
so when the actual date happens they at first spend like an hour trying to look for their dates until they realize it's each other who they're looking for 💪
Ofc when they realize this, they r very surprised and stuff (shown in the first set of doodles)
They end up bantering back and forth until they end up turning the blind date into some sort of challenge where they have to endure with each other's presence for the rest of the date
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After their so called "date" they, coincidentally, bump into Aoi and makoto (who totally were not spying of em yup yup) and

man where the hell do u even find a sauna these days

"Could it be called a blind date if two people who have never met spend hours together heading the same direction?"
Lilith asks to arrange Beatrice's ticket. Beatrice's only excuse for not seeing this at the brilliant red flashing warning sign it is, is the headache she's been fighting since she woke up ten hours ago. Not coincidentally, at the same time she saw her mother's email message. The one that demanded her home for her brother's wedding next week. Beatrice agrees with a quick (unnecessary) reminder that she'd prefer a train to a plane. Lilith waves her off to her room and the blissful dark quiet with a snarky quip about how they've known each other long enough for Lilith to know what she needs. Beatrice is asleep before she can wonder why Lilith said 'needs'. Lilith, of course, knows the thing Beatrice needs most for that trip is a distraction. Thankfully her girlfriend has a devilishly wicked mind. Camila doesn't need to wait patiently for ten hours as her best friend works herself into a stress headache trying to love both herself and her family. "Hey Ava, remember that favour you promised me last week for bringing you ice cream home at 2 am?" Ava's head pops up over the back of the couch. "Yes! It was amazing Cam. You totally deserve a 'best roommate' award." "Good," Camila grins. "I'm cashing it in." Ava fist pumps. "Alright! What'll it be? Supper for a week? The best cupcakes you've ever had? Want me to beat up Todd for you?" Camila adopts a thoughtful look. Todd had seemed like a great guy. His wife thought so too. Fortunately in learning about Mrs. Todd Camila had the great fortune to meet someone she liked a whole lot more. "Can you even bake?" She finally asks. "Nope!" Ava cheers happily. "But oh my god, I found the most amazing cupcake stand at the farmer's market last week. I was going to bring you one but I ate them all." Ava's utterly unrepentant. Camila gasps. "Betrayal!" She clutches at her heart. "E tu, Pikachu?" Ava shrugs. "I'll grab extra next time I'm there. Seriously though, what's the favour?" "Oh, that, I'm sending you on a blind date. Pack an overnight bag." Ava tilts her head. "We're that confidant are we?" Camila laughs. "Trust me, you won't be able to stop." Two days later, trapped in a two-person train cabin for the next sixteen hours and thirty-six minutes Ava doesn't know if she should be impressed or scared of her best friend. She's hopeful that her blind date is at least how. She doesn't know she should be hoping someone (anyone) told Beatrice this is a blind date.

A Friend of a Friend... Maybe More
Closed Starter with @lunarlitmuses
Aurora wasn't really big on dating. She enjoyed flirting and messing around, meeting people with her adventures or even just being alone in her little store amongst her books, coffee, and plants.
But when her friend suggested she go on a date with one of their friends from work, she couldn't see the harm. After all, she was still meeting people, and even if she wasn't attracted to them she might make a new friend!
She walked into the small restaurant, the cool air welcome on a hot summer day as she looked around, trying to find someone who either looked just as lost or even a little bit nervous. Her friend mentioned that they were shy.... Hopefully she didn't scare them off!

Maxiel blind date?
Daniel actively has to sit on his hands not to run his fingers through his hair and fuck up all the work he put into making the curls look nice and not a wild mess. He doesn't know why he's nervous for this date. He's never been nervous for a date before, blind or not, but something feels different about this one, even though he's never spoken to the person he're here to meet.
"Daniel?" a guy says, walking up to the table and god he's so hot.
"Max?" Daniel asks, standing up from his seat. He immediately goes for the hug and the guy, Max, allows it. He's broad. Daniel can feel the muscles in his back.
"Well, enchante, Max," Daniel says with a wink.
Max flushes a beautiful shade of pink and yeah. This date is definitely going to be different.

modern dating for dummies, please and thank you!
Ah yes this one. So I totally blame @austennerdita2533 for this one as she and I talk alot about modern S&S.
Having already came up with several on my list this one is perhaps very much self indulgent on my part.
Its a BlindDate! AU in which the couple goes on a blind date and its going well, except in a blink of an eye it changes because of course it does. And a good date turns into angst.
But here is a little snippet for you dear:
She dressed in yellow.
She despised yellow, at least on her. She rather liked the color in general, but she felt like a tall daffodil, especially in the matching heels.
Her sister Marianne thought it would match her fair hair, and offset her dark eyes, except she thought her sister was delusional. But her sister refused to let her leave their flat until she dressed in the yellow sundress, that was at least moderately to her taste, she had bought it after—but it was not her color. Either of her sisters could have pulled off the color better than she.

derek felt nervous after talking to her o long online. he had never done something like it before and he was only trying it out because stiles and scott said he really needed to get out more. daniela was easy to talk to, mostly leading the conversation between them so he wasn’t shocked when she sent a location that they could meet up. however, when he got there and she was behind the bar he was confused. he figured it was going to be a date of some sort and maybe that was his mistake for assuming. she’s even more beautiful in person, his nerves skyrocketing through his body as he approaches the bar, smiling at her while he does so. “didn’t think you were going to be working behind the counter at this place. thought we were just getting drinks?” he speaks first, hoping to break any tension of this being the first time they ever spoke in person. “do you get off soon so we can have some privacy?” he was wondering if this was how these things usually went, maybe to make sure the person is real but he was expecting them to pick up where they let off.

can we get more drunk blind date au hcs 🥺 also some family hcs🥺🥺
Ugh the way I live for blind date au like they're fully my ogs and I'd love for them to have a Revival here 😎
Drunk HCs
Drunk Jasmine will get into literally anyone's lap. She's always teetering between h word and soft.
One night, pre-admitting feelings, Jasmine has her eyes set on Bosco. She's pulling them out to dance, grinding all over them. And of course Bosco doesn't mind, wanting to take Jasmine home just as much as she wants to come home with them.
However, when Bosco takes her home, she's too drunk and ends up falling asleep in Bosco's bed instead. Jasmine cuddles up so close against Bosco the minute they join her in bed (after they're done removing her make up)
Family HCs
The last person Bosco brought to family Thanksgiving was their ex, who was the literal worst and in no way wanted to be there. She didn't engage with their family, acted like Bosco putting their arm around her was a personal affront, and complained the whole time.
So Bosco's sister immediately likes Jasmine more, especially given how she's somehow positive after a cross country flight, and is bringing both nice wine and garbage wine to dinner (because Bosco insisted that their sister likes the garbage wine, but Jasmine doesn't believe Bosco because that sounds like something they'd lie about so their sister won't like her.)
Despite claiming not to be girlfriends and insisting that Bosco's sister has nothing to worry about with these two *being too loud* sleeping in the same room, the two do in fact have sex. They try everything to be quiet, moving off the rickety bed and onto the floor, fingers in Jasmine's mouth, like everything. And yet when they come downstairs the next day, Bosco's sister still calls them out for being too noisy.

Do you have a pearl design?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
sure do! as you all can probably tell, these are very old pftt, here's some doodles of her way back then :0]
copypasting from my old replies on twt LOL:
pearl's set up to be another prosecutor like her ma, she's still a very sweet girl but she is very antagonistic towards miles and franziska bc they're going against prosecutor maya, who she still loves very much and idolizes.
i thought it would interesting if she served as an angry little force to be reckoned with during investigations instead of being helpful in what would be considered jfa in the swap au
she does grow a lot more chiller once she grows up pftt
Tumblr media Tumblr media
also, kind of been thinking of pearls and simon friendshipisms bc when i was like doing an age table of all the swap au characters in excel, i realized that they'd be the same age which is WILD lol (i mean athena and pearl are the same age too so i should've seen it coming, but still!! wild!!!)
in my heart of hearts, pearl and simon are some flavor of aroace and whatever pearl wants to do with anybody's love life doing is going to be a disaster ASKSKS sorry queen </3

My Best Luck
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
MASTERLIST
Pairing: Lee Felix x Reader.
Genre: Blind date AU, fluff.
Warnings: Swearing, jealous Felix.
Word Count: 4,308
Summary: Changbin trying to play cupid between two of his friends. Both of them hating the idea, both of them ending up liking it.
Tumblr media
"Changbin, god dammit!" you yelped, feeling yourself tripping on something.
"You're fine, I swear! Don't you trust me?" he chuckled, his hand still clinging on your arm so he could guide you properly.
"Yes, but I'm starting to think that maybe I shouldn't." you said dramatically.
It was in the morning when Changbin demanded you show up at the usual park you two hang out. When you had arrived, he took you by surprise with a headband to cover your eyes before leading you somewhere. No matter how many questions you asked, he hushed you immediately. The blindfold was stressing the shit out of you and, frankly, you did not trust your friend with guiding you. Either you were going to fall in a pond or meet face with a tree.
"Ahh!" you screamed as you felt yourself slip.
"Changbin, the fuck?" you heard someone else speak.
On cue, Changbin removed your blindfold. You needed time to adjust to the light, but once you did, you easily spotted the man standing in front of you. You recognized him from your friends suggestions on Facebook, but you had never met him, well, until now.
"Uh, hi?" you waved awkwardly at the boy, who did the same before he sent a glare at your friend.
"I thought you wanted to hang out downtown." he deadpanned at him.
"And I thought we were going to walk around the park and feed the ducks." you snorted.
Changbin sighed loudly, pinching the bridge of his nose. "See? This is exactly why I believe you are perfect for each other."
You choked on your own saliva. What was he saying? Thinking back, you did remember the moment you mentioned to Changbin you wanted someone around to cuddle and kiss, but you were far from being serious. You were only a bit in need of physical attention, that's all. A bit... or a lot.
"What are you saying?" the boy spoke your thoughts.
"Surprise! I matched you two for a blind date!" he exclaimed proudly, though the reactions were poor.
"Thanks, but no thanks." you said, turning on your heels to leave.
However, Changbin wasn't going to let you go that easily. He grabbed you by the arm and brought you back in front of this stranger. You would admit he did pick a man looking close to your ideal type, but that didn't mean you were actually going to trust him with your love life.
"My dear Y/N, may I present you my good friend from work, Felix." he gestured the man, who simply forced a grin. "And Lix, this is my friend Y/N."
You rolled your eyes at how ridiculous this was. "You're acting as if we are elementary students who are learning how to make friends."
Felix let out a laugh, but quickly stopped when Changbin kicked him with his leg.
"I'm trying to avoid the awkward small talk." he said in defense, but Felix shook his head in disapproval.
"You're making this awkward."
With a huff, he raised his hands up in defeat. "Alright, then I shall leave the two of you alone. But no escaping! I'll be watching you." he glared at you especially.
As Changbin walked away further, you found yourself standing in the middle of the park with a pure stranger. Reassuring, really. Neither of you said a word for a while, uneasy at the turn of events. You were definitely going to kill Changbin for pulling one like this on you.
"Y/N, right?" Felix broke the weird ambiance.
"Yeah. Sorry about Changbin, by the way." you chuckled. "I didn't think he was going to actually set me up on a date when I asked."
He raised an eyebrow at you. "You're the one behind this?"
"Oh gosh, no!" you denied right away. "I just haven't been in a relationship for a long time."
He let out a little laugh before he came closer to you. You could see him even better, and it was no secret he was extremely good-looking. It was a miracle he was still single when looking like this, you almost didn't believe it.
"He's still stalking us." he pointed behind you for you to see, but you didn't turn around.
"Let's just give him the satisfaction, shall we? Plus, I think you can't be much of a bad company." you shrugged.
"You seem nice, too." he returned the compliment. "Alright, then. Did you have something in mind?"
You thought for a bit, when an idea suddenly popped. "Since I was expecting to be feeding ducks and you wanted to go downtown, we could mix both of these activities together."
"That's a good compromise. Okay, show me the duckies!" he chuckled.
He came next to you and linked your arms together. You didn't mind at all, and led him to the pond nearby. There, a small group of birds were already playing in the water, some of them fighting and others diving. You took notice of the baby ducklings waddling around and melted at the sight. One of your many weaknesses was your love for birds.
"Uh, I never noticed that birds can actually be cute." Felix said, observing attentively the ducks.
You were glad he was, at least, not mocking your weird obsession. Reassured on that aspect, you dragged him to a small stand where a man you grew to know as Jisung sold seeds. He was working part-time for the city, mostly at this particular park.
"Coming to see the babies?" he said as soon as you came up to him.
"You know me." you laughed. "Two bags, please?"
He pulled out two bags full of bird food, and watched you and your friend curiously. "Who's your friend?"
"Ah, Ji, this is Felix! He's Changbin's coworker."
"Nice to meet you." the boy in question bowed, and Jisung jumped in surprise.
"Damn, man! Your voice is something!"
Felix wasn't sure if this was a compliment, but he thanked Jisung nonetheless. The latter wished you to have fun as you paid for the treats. You ran close to the water and the birds seemed to recognize you instantly. You crouched down as you cooed at them, taking a small amount of seeds in your hand to give them. Felix hesitantly copied your actions. He was a bit jumpy at first since it was his first time feeding ducks, but he rapidly got used to it. The animals quacked from time to time, splashed water on you as they shook it off from their feathers, and even let you pet the back of their heads.
"Looks like you do this often." Felix spoke after you had been sitting for a while.
"My mother taught me about birds. They are extremely intelligent, unlike what people might think. I find it fascinating that they have the ability to fly. Well, most of them."
"I was always more a cat and dog person. I might start to look into birds more, now." he smiled as a duckling came to him, jumping around.
"Actually." you started, and then began to observe him closely. He backed away slightly, unsure about what you were doing.
"Actually, what?" he said in confusion.
"You kind of look like a baby chick. Or a cat. It depends on the angle."
Felix's brain stopped working for a moment before he exploded in laughter. "This might be the first time I am compared to a bird. I'll take it, thank you."
For an unexpected date you originally didn't want to take part in, it was oddly nice. Felix was easy to talk with. Most importantly, he didn't judge you for your weird antics.
After a while, you were starting to get hungry, so you left the ducks with the rest of the food before heading to the city. Since the both of you came using public transport, you hopped onto a bus. Felix had some restaurants in mind he wanted to show you, so you followed his lead. The ride was a bit long, so you looked around to pass time. You soon noticed a curly headed man, wearing a mask and a similar outfit to the one your friend wore earlier.
"Changbin's here." you mumbled into Felix's ear.
He glanced up and saw him too. "He's taking this a bit too seriously." he laughed. "Don't mind him. We're just two people getting along."
It did help you. Changbin's presence seemed to be bothering more than it should, but Felix made it seem as if he wasn't there watching your every move.
You finally reached a street full of shops and restaurants. Felix dragged you to a cute pizza place, and you decided to share one together. You got comfortable at a table close to the window so you could watch the city. People were walking, running, some of them had dogs with them, and others were laughing with friends. It felt nice to go out, in contrary of your usual lazy self who stayed inside playing games.
"What's your favourite food?" Felix said, drifting your attention back to him.
"I'm not picky, I can eat everything." you happily answered before taking a bite of your pizza piece. "How about you?"
"Hmm... that's a hard one. I'd say same, but I do like chicken a lot."
"I agree, it's so good."
"Right? And plus, chicken has meat in it!"
You paused for a second, trying to process what he had just said. Was he joking or was he being serious? From his expression, he did seem to be very serious. It took everything in you to not laugh at him, though you found it quite adorable.
"Yeah, chicken is good." you ended up saying, containing a smile.
When it was time to leave, Felix insisted on paying. The both of you fought over the bill, but you eventually gave up when he brought up the fact you paid for the duck food. You left the restaurant to go explore the other stores around. You shopped for some clothes, since spring was going to end soon and you wanted nice clothes for summer. While you picked some piece of clothing here and there, Felix was rummaging through the shirts and jackets. The items he picked were exactly the kind you would recommend to someone. He had good taste. And he looked good in it. The leather jacket he ended up choosing was looking too good on him, you had to stop yourself from fangirling.
"I like that top." he pointed out to the off-shoulder shirt you bought.
"Thanks, and I like your jacket."
"Really? I wasn't so sure if it'd be too much."
You smiled at him in reassurance. "It fits you perfectly, I swear."
He blushed a little bit at your comment, and looked away to prevent you from seeing it. But you saw perfectly the red tint that was spreading on his face. You were starting to be grateful towards Changbin for introducing you to such a charming man, but you were still trying to convince yourself he was being a pain in the ass by doing so.
"Y/N?" You hummed, still looking at your feet as you walked. "Can we stop at this game shop?" he asked shyly.
You eyes widened when you looked up to see a huge gaming store, filled with games, consoles and merch. "You game too?"
"What? You game? I literally build my own computer and play League of Legends on a daily basis." he informed you.
"Shut up, you're kidding."
"I'm not!" he laughed out. "I was scared you were going to judge me, and I certainly did not expect you to like this stuff as much as I do."
"Now you care about what I think about you?" you teased.
"Maybe." he smirked. "Shall we go?"
You had to gather all of your inner strength to not impulsively buy a new pokemon plush, especially since you were on the verge of being in debt. Felix, on the other hand, walked around in the Nintendo area and was looking through the games.
"Is Zelda a good one?" he asked for your opinion.
"I personally loved it, but I don't know if you like adventures."
"I like it a lot, actually." he mumbled, and did not hesitate another second to take it and bring it to the cash register.
When you left, he looked at his new game proudly, reading the back cover. You summarized how the game works and told him some of your cheat codes to help him out.
"And if you're stuck at some point, you can let me know. I know the game by heart, I could help." you offered.
"Yeah, that'd be great. I'll start to familiarize myself with it, but I'll definitely hit you up if I need anything."
You exchanged warm smiles, and it was your turn to go red. It didn't get better when Felix put his arm around you, pulling you closer to him. Since it was getting late, the weather did get colder. However, you felt extremely warm for some reason.
You slowly made your way back to the park where you initially started the date. A few minutes passed until Changbin appeared, a huge grin plastered on his face.
"Getting cozy?" he wiggled his eyebrows to Felix's arm around you.
The man rolled his eyes and huffed at your friend. "It's getting cold, that's all."
"Whatever you say, Lix." he smirked, and you turned to an embarrassingly redder tone. "How about you drive her home?"
"Bin..." you said in a warning tone.
"I brought my car, you can use it." he shrugged his shoulders before throwing his keys at Felix's direction. "Anyway, I was meeting up with Hyunjin, so you two have fun."
Not letting you say another word, he ran off which left you alone with Felix. Completely alone with him. No more Changbin stalking around.
"I hate him." you grunted.
"Hey, it's all good. It's not like we hate each other. Unless..." Felix trailed off, starting to panic a little bit.
You shook your head right away. "No, I don't mean it in that way! Just... You know what? Forget it. I'm actually glad we can spend a bit more time together." you smiled, which made Felix chuckle shyly.
You talked some more as you walked to Changbin's car. Though it wasn't so far, it was taking you an oddly long amount of time to get there. It was as if you didn't want the night to end just yet. Felix was nothing but courteous. He opened the door for you and, as cheesy as it sounds, buckled your seatbelt for you before taking place at the driver's seat. You told him your address so he could enter it on the GPS, and you were good to go.
"Do you mind if I play some music?" you asked, already opening your Spotify app.
"Not at all."
Other than the soft ballads you played, the ride home was silent. It wasn't awkward or anything. It was quite pleasant, actually. You arrived at your place much sooner than you anticipated, and you were weirded out on the disappointment you felt.
"I should call Changbin to ask him what to do with his car now." Felix let out a laugh as he pulled over in front of your building. "It was fun, I liked our day together."
"Me too. I'm happy to know I found myself a gaming partner."
Felix's smile dropped for a second, but it came back when he asked you for your contact information. You know, to keep in touch for his new game. Just for that. Only that. Your heart heavy, you sadly left the car as Felix waved you goodbye, promising to reach out to you in the next days.
Tumblr media
It was on days like these that Felix really wondered why he chose to be friends with Changbin. The man had spontaneously decided to go for a bowling night with his friends. What Felix didn't expect was to see you there, an information Changbin had left out. Not only were you there, but you had brought your friend Jisung with you. And if you asked him, he'd say the squirrel-like boy was too close to you for his liking. Was it his fault for not reaching out to you like he promised? Yes, it was entirely his fault. Could you blame him? He did not expect to have you in his mind 24/7 after your improvised date, even less chickening out just by the sight of your phone number on his own phone. Anyway, he did not like the idea of you ending together with Jisung. Because the man was fun, unlike him, he thought.
The moment he saw you, he wanted to run away and hide himself in shame. However, his good friend, Chan, noticed his attempt of running away and did not let the younger man slip away so easily. To his surprise, you greeted him normally, acting as if nothing happened. He was relieved, until he noticed Jisung coming behind you as he slouched his arm around your shoulder.
"I'm getting a snack at the canteen if you want me to buy you anything." Jisung said to you after his turn ended.
"Can you get me a drink, please? Anything will do, I'm just thirsty."
You had definitely pulled out your flirtiest tone in purpose, and your choice of clothing had definitely been thought out. You were wearing the top Felix had complimented weeks ago along with a pair of shorts, too short for Felix's liking. Either you were being like this to purposely piss him off, or you were actually starting to go out with Jisung, because there was no way you would be forcing yourself that much on a normal Tuesday evening.
When your friend had left you alone, Felix took the opportunity to take the now-free spot next to you. You avoided his gaze, as Changbin mocked Minho's lack of talent at bowling.
"Y/N." he spoke, but you didn't look at him yet.
"Wait a second, Felix. It's my turn." you said briefly getting up as Minho passed you a ball.
The freckled man sighed loudly, much to Changbin's notice. He scooted closer to the man, a smirk on his face. Felix only glared at him.
"Things have been rough with her?" he nudged at him. "I told you I found your perfect match."
"Shut up." Felix grumbled. "I'm not going to give you the satisfaction of being right."
"But I was right."
Slowly, Felix nodded. "I freaked out, and now my chance is gone."
"She asked me about you, you know?"
Felix's posture straightened at the words. "She did?"
"Yeah, she was worried she left a bad impression because you didn't text her afterwards."
"Then what is this show with Jisung boy?" he scoffed.
"That's nothing. Jisung is always flirty with everyone."
"Alright, but that doesn't explain her weird behaviour..." he trailed off.
"Bruh, are you kidding me? You ghosted her for weeks, of course she's weirded out you're here."
The conversation was cut short when you sat right back down at your previous spot, separating the two men. As Felix debated in his mind on what he should say something to you first, Jisung came back with a slushie and he stucked closely to your side for the rest of the night. As much as it annoyed him, he didn't want to talk with you while half of his coworkers were there, plus your friend. Patiently, he waited for the game to end.
Jisung guided you outside by the waist while the others followed behind. You thanked him for coming, embracing him in a tight hug, before he left. This relieved Felix more than it should have. The others slowly made their way to their cars, and soon enough, only you, Changbin and Felix were left.
"I thought you were going to leave with Jisung." Changbin said to you, confused.
"Right. I was hoping you could bring me home? He had some stuff to do and I didn't want him to drag me with him." you laughed apologetically.
"I can't. My sister needs me to go check something out on her computer. I think it shut down on its own, or something like that."
Felix knew too well that Changbin's sister would not ask him this kind of favour in the middle of the night. Nonetheless, he was actually glad he was helping him out to fix things with you.
And as for you, well, you were mad. You had avoided Felix because you were afraid he was going to tell you off right there and then. Ghosting you had hurt enough, you weren't in for a face to face rejection.
"I can give you a ride." Felix shrugged, much to your displeasure. "And I already know where you live, it's on the way to my place."
You forced a smile. "How convenient."
Changbin's glare didn't go unnoticed by you, as he slowly walked to his car, giving you and his friend a moment. Thankfully, Felix didn't act awkwardly like you had been for the entire evening. He casually made some jokes while you walked with him to his car. Again, he was a perfect gentleman as he opened and closed the door for you. He started the car and played some soft music, similar to the genre you had played last time you were in a car with him. He was still so sweet, although you had been quite unpleasant. You were definitely wondering how he was still single.
"I don't make the time for it, I guess." Felix laughed, making you realize you spoke your thoughts out loud.
You looked away in embarrassment. "I didn't mean to say this out loud." you mumbled, but Felix chuckled, finding you cute.
"It's fine, I was actually wondering the same thing about you, until I saw you with Jisung tonight. Congratulations, by the way."
You had not intented for your relationship with Jisung to come off as romantic. You felt bad since Felix must have thought you were dating him for the entire night.
"Oh, no! We're not together, he's not my type anyway."
He raised an eyebrow at your statement. "What is your type, then?"
"You." you wanted to answer so bad, but you determined it wasn't a good idea. "I like someone who's genuine, and with whom I can joke around easily and feel comfortable." He hummed at your response, looking satisfied. "What's yours?"
"I don't really have one in particular. I prefer focusing on how it is with the person, if I feel comfortable with them or not. Now thinking of it, my type might be just like yours."
There was a moment of silence afterwards. You weren't sure if you were supposed to bring up your nights you spent awaiting his message or not. But he beat you to it.
"I'm sorry for not calling you. I would usually blame it on work, but it was entirely my fault." Your eyes shot to his direction, taken aback from his sudden honesty. "The truth is, I kind of chickened out?"
"I thought you like chicken."
He sent you a look. "Ha. Ha. Real funny." You laughed, but encouraged him to go on. "Anyway, I thought you saw me only on a platonic level and I was scared I was going to put myself in a hole I wouldn't be able to get out of. And I also didn't want Changbin to make me admit he had actually managed to find the perfect person for me. So all of these reasons mixed together, I wasn't brave enough to text you, and I'm sorry."
You smiled at him brightly, which was not what he expected as a reaction. "But you wanted to call me."
"I really wanted to, yeah." he almost whispered.
He had reached your apartment building by then, but neither of you wanted this conversation to end. Thus, you invited him inside, saying you would rather talk in the comfort of your couch. Agreeing, he followed you inside. You invited him to sit down, not forgetting to pour him a glass of water out of hospitality.
"Did you try out the game?" you spoke first.
"Not yet. I wanted to start it with you." he admitted shyly.
"We can do that this weekend, if you are free."
He didn't hesitate to nod at your offer, smile plastered on his face. "I'd like that." He paused, searching for his words. "And I like you. I really liked how excited you were when you saw the ducks, and how you didn't laugh in my face for saying that chicken has meat in it. But really, I am technically right. Sure, it's an obvious fact, but it does contribute on why I love it and-"
"Lix." you laughed as you interrupted his trail of thoughts. "Stay on topic."
"Right..." he coughed, embarrassed. "Overall, I'm telling that I like you a lot, and the fact you game too just adds to your cuteness. And you actually look stunning tonight, I almost choked. And I'm rambling again, aren't I?"
"You're doing great." you giggled. "I like you too, and I'd take you on date again."
He pouted. "That's the guy's line."
"Well, the guy here takes an insane amount of time to get to the point."
He pouted again, but brought you into his arms this time. "Alright, but let me plan it, okay?"
"I'm okay with that." you replied contently.
The little peck he left on the top of your head was good enough for you to feel butterflies in your stomach. He was odd, sure, but you were even more. And it happened that, luckily, Changbin knew the both of you enough to know you would make one heck of a pair.

Sam, better known as Merlin, is the best worst matchmaker who ever lived and he loves to organise blind dates for his friends. And that's how he ends up sitting on a triple blind date for Carole, Goose and Slider with the people he thinks are the best for them. Maverick for Carole, Hollywood for Slider and Wolfman for Goose. But the moment they're sitting, all six of them, at the table it's pure chaos because nobody is talking with the person Merlin thought was the perfect match. Goose is shifting sits to be between Carole and Slider who are already halfway flirting with him, Hollywood and Wolfman are talking about something Merlin doesn't even try to understand and Maverick is eating his dinner like nothing of that is his problem. Only twenty minutes later, when Carole is sitting on both Slider and Goose, another man Merlin doesn't know comes in, sits in front of Maverick and asks the guy if he stopped by the supermarket to pick up the dessert or not, before kissing him. Right there. In front of Merlin and Carole who was supposed to be his date.
Merlin ends up ordering two shots of whisky and then four trying to understand how nothing has gone has it should. The other seven people seem way less concerned and more than happy.

Kanthony + 38?
38- “You fainted…straight into my arms. You know, if you wanted my attention you didn’t have to go to such extremes.”
Ok, Anon, you inspired me.
Let's see Anthony and Kate and their completely crazy first date.
PS: I am a teacher. I am most certainly NOT a doctor nor do I claim to be. Most of the medical advice in this story came from @mimix007 who was a queen and helped me with the basic of humans.
Also, I NEED to thank all my girlies who read this but specially @waterlilyrose who embarked on this journey with me when I got the little lightbulb moment and sprinted and cheered me on me as I went through this whole mess today. Thank u <3
Enjoy!
If 24 hours earlier, someone told Kate Sharma she'd be sitting in a hospital room in the early hours of the morning, still in her nice green dress, heels and fancy lacy lingerie, her hair and make-up done, she would have called the person crazy. Maybe laughed to their face.
And yet, there she was.
She’s been set up on a blind date by Ben, her coworker from the gallery. Apparently, she reminded him so much of his brother and he imagined they’d get along famously.
Kate did not have the best track record with men, especially posh guys with more money than they knew what to do with, which was Ben’s family’s case, but her friend had shown her a photo and, well… the man was hot. Not just handsome. It was almost unfair how one man could be so sinfully attractive.
Even if the date didn’t go anywhere, at least they could have a bit of fun. He looked like a guy who knew how to pleasure a woman in bed and Kate most certainly could use a guy like this in her life right now. Plus, Ben wouldn't set her up with someone who was a complete arse, would he? They were friends and he was a nice person, he wouldn't do something like that.
Or maybe he would. Because Anthony Bridgerton seemed like a huge jerk.
Anthony, that was Ben's brother's name, showed up to their date late, looking a bit worse to wear. Don't mistake her meaning, he was still one of the hottest men Kate'd ever lay her eyes on, but there were dark bags under his eyes and he looked pale and sweaty as if he was fighting off a nasty hangover. The first few buttons of his dress shirt were undone and his hair sticking up a bit as if he had run his hands through it a few times. She wouldn't judge him if he did though, his hair seemed perfect to run your hands through.
He didn't seem to be drunk. There was no telling alcohol smell and his speech was clear. But he wasn't really alright either. He pushed his food around on his plate without really eating and he barely touched a drop of the wine he had asked for. Hungover for sure. Kate tried interacting with him, asking questions and offering information about herself but Anthony looked distracted, taking a long time to answer her, if he listened to her at all.
By the time Anthony started excusing himself to go to the toilet,  Kate stood up as well. She was ready to tell him she was leaving and that if he hadn't wanted to have a date with her, he could have told her so and she wouldn't have wasted her time and energy trying to look her best. She really would have been less offended if he had just told her to her face he didn't want to meet her than whatever was going on that night.
But before she could get more than two words out, Anthony's face went ghostly pale, his eyes rolled to the back of his head and he collapsed against her. They both went down, his skin clammy and feverish under her fingertips, his breaths heavy and raggedy.
Kate was doing her best to remember the few first-aid lessons she'd taken in uni, but she wasn't sure how good that would be. The first step was always don't panic and she was already failing in that quite spectacularly.
Perhaps he wasn't just being a rude arse, after all.
Kate had yelled for someone to get an ambulance, they had patched him up in a gurney and Kate hadn't even thought twice before accepting the paramedic's help to climb in after him.
Anthony had been rolled straight to surgery as soon as they rolled into the A&E and Kate was shown to a waiting room, a kind nurse telling her someone would give her an update soon. She tried calling Ben, to let him know what was going on, but somewhere during the chaos, her battery had died. She had Anthony's phone in her purse, but he had a password and all Kate managed to do was to block his phone for a full hour trying to guess it.
It had been a couple of hours of waiting nervously when a doctor told her he had a problem with his appendix, but the surgery had been successful and her boyfriend would be up to a room soon and she could wait for him there.
Kate only thanked the man and followed the nurse towards the lift without another word. What was she supposed to say? That they were on a sort-of-blind date, meeting for the first time and she had been sure he was a huge jerk until he passed out in her arms?
No. That wouldn't do at all. Kate was just going to go along with it, wait for him to wake up and managed to call on a family member and when he was properly accompanied, she'd go home. That sounded like a reasonable plan.
And that's how Kate found herself half-dozing off on a not-very-comfortable hospital sofa on the sickbed of her sort-of-date as the first strakes of daylight started to colour the sky.
That would most certainly be the craziest date Kate had ever been to. She doubted anything could ever come close to that.
From the bed, Anthony groaned, squirming on the mattress before his eyes slowly started blinking awake.
"What..." His voice was husky as he looked around, completely confused. "What happened?"
"You fainted…straight into my arms." Kate was up in a flash, reaching for the cup of water the nurse had instructed to give to him slowly. "You know, if you wanted my attention you didn’t have to go to such extremes.”
He started to chuckle, which quickly turned into a pained whine, as he clutched his stomach. "Oh, ouch."
"Oh God, I'm so sorry." Kate looked around desperately for something she could do to help, but of course, there was none. Damn her and her smart mouth. "I was trying to lighten up the mood."
"S'alright." Anthony waved her apology away. "Water?"
"Oh, yes! Here." Kate reached the side of the bed, helping him gently plop up enough to be able to sip on the cup. "Just go slow, the nurse said drinking too fast might make you sick.
"Too late for that, I guess." Kate looked up at him desperately, ready to bolt out to the corridor and find a nurse if he was feeling unwell, but instead, Anthony was smiling humorously at her. "Since I fainted and all."
"That's not funny." She huffed, pushing the hair away from her face.
"It is a little bit."
"You had to have surgery!" She stared at him with narrow eyes. "Your appendix was inflamed. Or burst. Or something."
"Which one was it?" Anthony groaned in pain as he let himself fall back against the soft hospital bed. "I think one of those things is considerably more severe than the other."
"I don't know. I went to art school, not med school. " She rolled her eyes, crossing her arms in front of her chest defensively. "The doctor didn't tell me much and I was kinda nervous at the time to pay too close attention."
Kate thought he'd call her out on her stupid comment, or say anything about the situation he was in, but instead, he just turned his eyes on her and asked: "Can I have more water please?"
"Right. Sure." Kate took the plastic cup back to the jar in the corner of the room, clearing her throat nervously. "I"m sorry I didn't call your family, by the way. My battery died and I couldn't unblock your phone."
"Thank God," Anthony whispered with a sigh as she stared at him with a raised eyebrow. "Please don't call them."
"What do you mean?!" She squeaked. "You had surgery!"
“Do you have any idea how much I'd hear for this?" Anthony looked at her face and then at the cup clutched to her hand.
"Right, the water, sorry." Kate was back by the side of the bed. "What do you mean how much you'd hear?"
"I have a large family." He gulped the fresh water, sighing appreciatively. "My mother is... She's great but she's been telling me I need to slow down for a while now. If she learns I was sick and didn't get checked out, I wouldn't have a moment alone in the next two months."
"Trust me, I get the feeling. My stepmother is just the same." Mary Sharma was a force to be reckoned with when she wanted to be. She'd probably place Kate under house arrest and she didn't live in her family home anymore. "She'd probably force feed and not allow me out of the bed."
"I have seven siblings." He chuckled and groaned again at her surprised face.
"Seven!"
"Yup."
"I have one and she drives me insane."
"My mum could have someone on every hour of the day sitting with me. I'd never be alone again." He told her dramatically. "I'd not put past her grounding me and taking away all my electronics."
"I understand your suffering." Kate nodded sympathetically. "But I'm not letting you check out without anyone to watch over you. Is there a friend you can call?"
"This would be Simon." Anthony shifted in bed with a whimper, trying to find a more comfortable position. "But he's gone and got engaged to my oldest baby sister, so I can't really trust him with it." He sighed. "He'd tell on me the moment the phone was off and Daph's almost as bad as my mother."
"Well, that would be less than ideal, I guess."
"The only person I could trust to keep this quiet is Hyacinth, but somehow I don't see a 10-year-old being much help in this situation." He gave a half-shrug, clearly trying to keep his abdomen from jostling too much. "Well, her and Fran, but she's in Scotland and I won't have her miss classes to come watch over me."
"Can't you talk to Ben?" Kate rested her elbow on the mattress next to his arm and her chin on her palm as she watched him gingerly reach up to muss his hair.
"Ben's a tattletale and momma's boy. Mum can break him in less than a minute."
"What's the least worse option, then?"
"You really won't let me go on my own, will you?"
"Absolutely not." Anthony seemed to consider that for a moment before sighing defeatedly.
"I'll end up calling Ben." He sighed dejectedly. "He'll probably be able to hold Mum back the longest. At least he's got a flat I can hide on for a bit."
"Sounds like a plan." They sat in companionable silence for a moment, Anthony's face twitching with discomfort as Kate chewed on her bottom lip, unsure of what to say or if she even should say anything at all. "I'm sorry for the date thing." He told her, the tip of his ears turning pink. "I promise I usually behave much better."
"Well, it is a bit funny... After all the panic passes, anyway." Kate chuckled awkwardly.
"At least it's a story for the ages." His smile really was quite dashing, she had to admit.
"That it is."  The silence that settled on them for a moment was a bit more light-hearted than the one before as Kate tried to gather the courage to speak. "Sorry, I really have to ask..."
"Hum?"
"People say... Well, my sister had an inflamed appendix and that's a really painful thing." Anthony raised his eyebrow at her but did not speak. "And for you to faint, you were probably feeling pretty shity..." She trailed off, unsure of how to continue. "Why didn't... You could have just rescheduled the date, you know?"
"I mean... yeah, I guess." His shrug was a bit self-conscious. "But I'm kinda used to some pain in my daily life. Like migraines from lack of sleep or gastritis from spending way too much time without eating or whatever stupid thing doctors like to go on about." Kate had to press her hand to her mouth to keep from laughing at the dismissive roll of his eyes. "And... I don't know... I really wanted to meet you. Ben talked a lot about you and, I'm not trying to be disrespectful or crude in any way but you're really beautiful." Kate felt a blush rise to her cheeks, unable to keep the tiny smile from creeping into her lips. "I wouldn't let a bit of normal pain get in the way of that."
"I'd say you underestimated the levels of what's normal pain a bit there, didn't you?"
"I'll admit I didn't imagine it would get so much worse so fast." He admitted with a grim nod before his eyes softened as he turned them to her face, making heat pool even hotter in her cheeks. "Please tell me I didn't ruin things and I'll get another chance?"
"Well, that depends." Kate grinned, her eyes alight with mirth. "Will you faint on me again?"
"Nop, never again." He shook his head, wincing as the movement sent a flare of pain up his side.
"I suppose we can work something out then." His smile was so bright Kate desperately wished to feel it against her mouth. To feel if those lips were as soft and plump as they looked. And so, to hell with it, she did.
Kate blamed the lack of sleep and the adrenaline and nerves from the night before for her poor impulse control. She leaned forwards, careful not to jostle the mattress too much and risk hurting him, and she pressed their lips together in the gentlest of kisses, just a brush followed by a little pressure before she pulled away. Anthony tried to chase her mouth, leaning forwards before grunting in pain.
"Down boy." She laughed, something stirring at the pit of her stomach by the way his eyes darkened.
"Come back here." His words were half a command, half a desperate plea. "Please."
"You just had surgery." She reminded him with a gentle pat on his hand as she settled back on the seat, trying to ignore the spark of electricity that went through her arm at the touch.
"One more." He pleaded, lacing their fingers together. "To help me heal faster."
"Na-hum. You'll have to wait." She tutted at him. "I'm not having a doctor call me out for opening your stitches or something.”
Anthony let his body rest in the bed, sighing in defeat, but he did not let go of her hand. Outside the window, the sun was slowly starting to show its bright face, making the sky turn a hundred different hues of blues, oranges and pinks.
"Will you at least tell me how much the dinner was so I can refund you?" He asked and Kate froze in the spot, her eyes growing triple the size of her face.
"Oh God..." She choked between a laugh and a desperate sob. Anthony's head snapped to look at her.
"What?!"
"You fainted and the ambulance came and they were taking you to the restaurant and I..." She covered her mouth with her hand, her face flooding with colour. "I didn't pay the bill."
They stared at each other for a few silent moments before they burst out in laughter, Anthony clutching his side with a grimace.
"Oh God, I can't believe I dined and dashed." Kate wanted to shove her head under a pillow, her face flooding with colour and her chest heaving from giggles she couldn't quite control.
"Please stop making me laugh," Anthony begged, although it didn't seem he was having any success in stopping it either. "I just had surgery and laughing hurts."
"Hell! Sorry, oh my..." She snorted, burying her face in her palms, trying to control her breathing. "That's so embarrassing, oh lord..."
And although it had been most certainly the weirdest date Kate had ever been to, she was quite certain it was one of the best ones, in the end. Well, after the panic passed, of course.
Ben arrived a little more than two hours later and the moment he crossed through the room's large door, Kate was sure Anthony had made a mistake calling his brother and not his best friend because Ben looked livid.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" The tallest man cried in a harsh tone, sending the two other people in the room, who had been talking since Anthony had woken up jumping in surprise. "Hey, Kate." He looked at her, his entire posture shifting for a moment. "Thanks for sitting with him."
"S'all good, mate." She replied, blinking at the sudden change, and then Benedict's attention was back on his older brother, the sweet, funny man absolutely fuming.
"I cannot believe you, Anthony Bridgerton! I don't even...." The painter breathed in deeply, making a visible attempt to calm down. "You had surgery...."
"Emergency surgery." Anthony corrected, which did not help at all in his brother's attempt at remaining calm.
"You had SURGERY to remove your goddamn appendix and you didn't..."
"It was my fault, Ben. My phone was down and..." Her friend stopped her words with a raised finger.
"You did nothing wrong Kate, I'm actually really grateful for you sitting with him all night." His narrowed eyes didn't leave his brother's face. "You, on the other hand..."
"I am sick," Anthony warned.
"How long have you been sick, you stubborn idiot?!" The youngest of the brothers roared. "That's why you looked like shit in Greg's competition last night!"
"I..."
"And on Hyacinth's match!"  He looked accusingly at Anthony, who had the decency to look ashamed. "How much did you eat in the past two days?"
"I don’t really see how..." The words were so low and jumbled Kate couldn't understand any of them.
"Anthony!"
"Alright, you're annoying, Christ!" The eldest sibling finally spoke up. "I didn't eat anything, alright? I was feeling nauseous, couldn't keep anything down anyway."
"You were drinking black coffee!" Benedict threw his hands up in the air in exasperation. "Why didn't you go to the goddamn doctor?! Are you trying to die?"
"You're being dramatic."
"I'm so mad at you right now, I could punch you."
"I didn't go to the doctor because I had a lot of shit to do, Benedict," Anthony spoke slowly. Apparently, his patience had run out. "I had a pile of documents waiting for me at work. There was Hy's game and Greg's swimming and Daphne's wedding planning. I sometimes have a stomachache, because according to that doctor you forced me to go, I have gastritis."
"You have gastritis because you spend days without any proper food, running on coffee and self-sacrifice, you pompous arse!" Ben retorted with a huff. "Hy and Greg would have understood if you missed ONE game or swimming competition. Daphne's wedding is more planned and organized than my life has been in the past, I don't know, ten years! And you haven't had a day off in three years, Anthony. The last time you did was because Hyacinth got a broken arm when she was seven." Ben clapped his hands in front of his face as if praying for something, although Kate wasn't exactly sure what.
She couldn't judge Anthony too much. She worked two jobs and used to work three until she had a burnout crisis the year previous and Mary forced her to quit one, kept track of Edwina's grades, helped Mary with the house and the bills and still walked Newton every day. Her sleep schedule was erratic at best and she ate only because her stepmother called her periodically at meal times.
Maybe Ben did have a point when he said she reminded him of his older brother.
"I don't know why you're so mad at me." Anthony insisted.
"You don't... You know what Ant, I'll tell you." The tallest brother lowered his hand with a strange fire in his eyes. "I'm mad because you think you are indestructible and you don't give a shit about your own health although you can spend literal hours lecturing us about ours. I'm mad because it didn't occur to you, at any point in the past week, to turn to me and say 'Ben, I'm feeling overwhelmed.' and..."
"I wasn't overwhelmed," Anthony scoffed in annoyance. "I had appendicitis."
"It didn't occur to you, at any point, to turn to me, or to Simon, or to Daphne, or to anyone, to say 'I'm having a very strong pain in my abdomen and I can’t keep food down' and any of us would have gladly stepped up to help you with all the shit you needed to get done while you went to a goddamn doctor instead of having to get an emergency surgery in the middle of your date!"
"Alright Benedict," Anthony mumbled with a mocking roll of his eyes. "next time I sneeze, I'll let..."
Kate understood the reluctant feeling in Anthony's tone. It was hard to ask for help, especially when you had people depending on you for a long time. How did you turn to someone that came to you for absolutely everything for years and years and said 'I have too much on my shoulders, I need help.' without feeling like an absolute failure? And at the same time, without making them feel like failures because you never told them you were overwhelmed.
Kate was also very, very bad at asking for help.
"You know what, Anthony? I'm not going to try to reason with you. There is no point, you won't listen." Benedict sighed deeply, rubbing the bridge of his nose wearily. "I'm taking you to Mum's."
"You're absolutely not." Anthony scoffed, trying to cross his arms stubbornly in front of his chest, but failing miserably when his entire face convulsed in pain.
"I can't see how your sorry arse is going to stop me." Ben looked triumphantly at this older brother. "You are going to mum's and you are staying there until you are 100% recovered from your surgery and maybe  an extra week to be safe and you are going to eat three proper meals a day and work regular hours if mum allows you to work."
"You're going to have to kill me," Anthony told his brother completely determined.
"I am considering it."
"I'm not going."
"Oh, you are." Ben nodded his head and his grin was absolutely diabolical. If Edwina was looking at Kate like this, she'd probably have run for cover and it was clear in Anthony's face he would agree. "Please ask me how."
"I'm not giving you the pleasure." Benedict just waved his grumpy brother's words away completely at ease.
"It's not a problem, I'm telling you anyway." He rubbed his hands together and in Anthony's eyes, Kate could see he was considering just jumping out of the window not to suffer whatever fate his brother had planned for him. "Because I’ve already called mum," Ben lifted a finger, as if counting. "and Daph," One more finger up. "and I called your work and told them you're taking the next week as sick leave and are not to be disturbed." A third finger was lifted but he was clearly not done. "I have also already bribed Eloise with something she wants quite a whole lot so I think you'll be hard-pressed to get her to cooperate with you." With each finger that went up, Anthony's eyes went wider. "And to finish it off, I've spoken to Hyacinth and Greg." Benedict looked triumphant with his entire palm open in front of him.
"What did you say to them?!"
"I might or might not have implied that you are really sick and that if you don't rest, you might have a big health problem that will be a risk to your life." The taller man seemed to be feeling pleased to see Anthony so shocked in a way only a younger sibling could. "They're really scared, you know?"
"So, you lied!" Anthony accused.
"No, I didn't, you lout! If you don't fucking rest you're going to rip a stitch and bleed inside out or something!" Benedict stormed. He had also been to Art school and was certainly not a doctor. "And honestly the worst they'll do is spend a shitton of time around you and you'd never complain about that." Anthony did not seem to have an answer for that. "What you really should be worried about is Daphne. She was talking about taking a few days from work to look after you."
Honestly, if Anthony made an attempt to jump out of the window, Kate would probably help.
Anthony had been released from the hospital and into Benedict's clutches in the afternoon, with a list of medicine and doctors' orders to follow and several overprotective siblings to look after him at home. Kate did not envy him at all.
She had awkwardly stood there as Anthony signed a pile of forms under his younger brother's watchful eye and asked them if anyone could call her an Uber, since her phone was dead, which immediately prompted Ben to offer to just drop her home. And that was how she found herself sitting in the back of a car with Anthony Bridgerton as his brother drove.
He was sitting half-bent in what looked like an uncomfortable position, his mop of brown hair falling to his forehead, dark circles under his eyes. Kate just felt the desperate need to curl around him, have his arms around her, holding her tight. He had quite spectacular arms, really.
She managed to fight back that one impulse, too afraid to hurt him if she tried. It didn't keep her from reaching out to his hand, lacing their fingers together. Anthony looked from her face to their joint hands back to her face, a tired but bright smile blooming on his lips.
From the rear-view mirror, Kate could see Benedict's smirk, but she ignored it. She'd let him groat, at least for a little bit. He deserved it.
The car pulled at the curb in front of her small block of flats and before she could think twice about it, Kate leaned forwards, kissing Anthony with another of those ridiculously soft kisses, their lips brushing together gently for a moment before she pulled away.
"I thought you said I'd have to wait?" He asked, a satisfied smile gracing his lips as he looked at her.
"Yeah, but I'm pretty sure you'll need something to help you keep sane in the next week." Kate giggled as he groaned. "And something for you to think of, you know? Until our next date. Once you're better."
"I can't wait."
And really neither could she.
Anthony was a model patient. An annoying one, the biggest pain in his siblings arse he could manage to be, but a good patient none the less. He took his meds, ate his food and rested. He complained and bitched and moaned every second of it, but he was doing it. He and Kate texted everyday and seeing a message from him light up her phone make a silly smile take over her face like a stupid teen with a crush.
And finally, three weeks after their disastrous first day, Anthony got the all clear from the doctor and he was waiting for her at the door of a fancy restaurant, looking exactly like that hot, hot man Ben had shown her in a photo that had convinced her to accept the date.
"You're not going to faint on me, are you, Mr Bridgerton?" Kate asked, with mirth on her smile as she approached him, enjoying the way his eyes raked darkly over her purple dress.
"Not a chance, Miss Sharma." He barely got the words out before pulling her into his chest and finally, finally, kissing her properly.
It was a kiss worth waiting for.
And a year and a half later, Anthony's eyes were still raking over her, this time with tears pooling on them as her mother walked her down the isle, the flowy white dress contrasting quite beautifully with her raven dark hair and the henna tattoos on her skin.
"You're not gonna faint on me now, are you, Mr Bridgerton?" Kate asked for the thousenth time, smiling up at him as she let go of Mary's hand and took his. The smile he offered back was as bright as the sun.
"Not a change, Mrs Bridgerton."
Truly, that first date had been one of the best things in her life, after all.
