Tolkien had Thorin say this in The Hobbit and now Amazon is making the Rings of Power. Amazon is literally the modern day personification of Smaug considering how much wealth it hoards, and it’s doing the exact same opposite as this quote. That kind of makes me think that Tolkien would be rolling around in his grave if he saw this happening to his precious legendarium.

Amazon, the only place Hazbin Hotel streams legally, is owned by a zionist. Especially after Bisan's call for a boycott, you should be not watching amazon't videos on YouTube or paying for amazon prime. If you want to watch the show, it's currently available on wcostream (note that as of now, there are only 4 episodes but last release it took about two days for the episodes to get there so episodes 5 & 6 are probably gonna drive soon)

I know that Amazon is one of the pressure targets

Amazon is and has been investing in Israel since 2014. Specifically/mainly prevailing to surveillance (like the AI tech)

And many people (including one of the Duffers I think?) in Stranger Things verbally support Israel. (Though other stuff on Netflix is definitely Pro-Palestinian. So it’s just those guys to my knowledge.)

Unfortunately that’s all I know. Mainly, I get my info on what to boycott from the BDS website so I don’t usually know specific people/executives

friendly reminder that not buying from amazon does actually make a difference.

is it gonna make a difference to daddy bezos or cause amazon to shut down? no.

but if you decide to buy something from a small business, it will make a difference to them.

if you go to your local library instead, it will make a difference to them.

if you decide it’s something you can make yourself, congrats you’ve learnt a new skill and have something you can be proud of.

and even if you decide not to get something because you don’t need it, that’s also something to be proud of, and it’s less stuff for you to sort through/throw out in the future.

it will not make a huge difference. when we act as individuals we’re not able to make big changes. but little changes matter as well, and it’s important to fight the little battles as we can.

one of the first things you can do to be a better person is simple: boycott amazon. This way you won’t support a greedy, selfish, exploiting asshole and his tyrannical company. and you can start supporting local businesses instead. which is cool.
