replying to this here @goldenbloodytears because I'm v sorry but this got uhh long because, while I am not an expert on vocals or anything like that, I do have some examples as to how I guess, I personally perceive the Papas' voices.

I just really love this man and his voice, in all iterations. And the rest is under a read more because I feel bad about putting this on people's dashes as one giant block of text asdlkfsjd

Also, Spillways got me into Ghost, so for the most part, I first had experience hearing Copia's voice, which is, yes, sort of nasally, I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing, though. Tobias talking about how the Copia character is less "experienced" maybe (I can't remember the exact wording atm) in the Loudwire interview he just did, makes the nasally thing sort of make sense even though I know it's logically bc the mask fit does it to him. Copia's voice being nasally and different from the other Papas who, when we got to know them, they were already elevated into their position, it'd make more sense we get a polished sound with them vs Copia who started out as a Cardinal and later became Papa, hence less "experience". But this is just me trying to find an in-universe reason for it other than idk man has a deviated septum or something.

ANYWAY, so, back to the topic of Secondo sounding more like Tobias than the others---

Tobias has a really nice voice, and there's this certain thing that it does that I am not musically talented enough to put into proper words, but okay, so, House of Affection is arguably the Tobias Forge song, it's him singing it, not as a character and it's in the chorus mostly, just the tone he uses. It's that airy sorta higher, not necessarily a light sort of sound but it sort of goes up. I'm doing a very bad job at describing this haha. I don't have the right words for it, but it's this all encompassing sound.

This Ritual performance that Secondo did also has that same sort of sound. You can hear it especially in the chorus bit, it's higher, he sings upwards, I guess? Much like in the chorus of House of Affection, it's a very, at least to me, similar sort of thing.

And there's a good video that sort of goes through Primo, Secondo and Terzo's singing through the years, which is here and I think that also gives a very good indication that like Secondo's voice is very close to Tobias' voice.

Primo's voice is sorta...deeper, I guess, is a good way to put it. When he begins the chorus of Ritual you can hear how much lower he's doing it, like he absolutely does not sound like Tobias to me.

Secondo's voice, for the purpose of me comparing it to Tobias' is like, an almost dead ringer, if I were to hear Secondo sing and then Tobias sing as himself then I would be able to tell they were the same person, just because of the way Secondo would like, project? His voice, it's pretty similar vocal wise to other projects that Tobias has worked on.

Terzo's voice in this video example, it's growly, like he really got that gravel sort of thing going on really good and if I didn't know any better, I'd think that Terzo was someone else entirely. He also puts on a like sorta of thicker accent? You can hear him roll his R's more in songs and such.

Like all of this is not to say that he doesn't sometimes slip up and sing sort of like himself, because he does. He did it during HellFest this year because he was losing his voice and I think overall that was just easier for him than to try and sing nasally.

Once again, here's a compilation I found of the first three Papas singing Ritual, but like together? It's really interesting to listen to because you can hear the differences better like this I think.

Just for the sake of me not using only one song, but Secular Haze is the same way to me. Like, obviously he's singing the song without a mask in the studio versions, so I'm using only live versions of the songs.

The first time I listened to Infesstisumam, I was sort of blown away by how much different it sounds from Opus Eponymous. And then once I got into some of Tobias' other projects, one day Secular Haze came on my playlist and I had to like, pause for a second because I was like "oh that's Tobias. That's him."

Like the man is very very good at changing his voice up each era and everything and I don't think it's extremely noticeable unless you're like focusing so much on voice differences, but the overlaps are there and he does sound really close to himself obviously with somewhat of an accent, but it's there.

As for Terzo's acoustic performances, he doesn't sound like Tobias, like to an extent, Terzo also has a sort of nasally sound, and you can hear it pretty well in Jigolo Har Megiddo, esp when he gets higher, and like honestly I think Terzo and Copia are the two who sound the least like Tobias when you compare them.

Also, like, there's this performance of He Is where his voice is deep which just, in my mind is so far from Tobias that I'm not sure who that man is other than Terzo.

It's not to say, again, that Terzo has never sounded like Tobias, because he has, and that's just a thing that happens sometimes, but like it's not as consistent as Secondo sldkfs.

Another example of y'know, Tobias, so we're not just going off of House of Affection is the Me and that Man song he featured in as Mary Goore, it, to me, gives me sort of like, Secondo vibes in terms of the voice? And like it's not live but studio so it has that more pronounced sound than a live vocal one I guess.

This clip of him performing live with Subvision his voice does that upward, sort of projection thing that when you listen to Secondo's performances, it's really really close to that.

The man is amazingly talented, and he knows how to change his voice and do little things to each Papa so they don't all sound the same, so when you know it's time for a new Papa, you're like "oh what's he going to sound like?" both music style wise and vocal wise.

This also got very out of hand, for a silly little post, I'm so sorry, once again, but your reply was just such a good question.

The punch he gave to Akane's chin, it reminded me of the one Hanako gave to Kou in the pilot. The twins share some moves. cool.

Later on he moved to give Akane a nice spin around, how fun! I hope Akane enjoyed the ride! twister no.4 seems to have given Tsu a fun idea during their chase lol Again, Akane's reaction. Same as the one Hanako made when Teru destroyed the ceiling of the far shore train. Hilarious. Hilarious.

Wooh, I think I need to stop on Akane's words to give Kou some kind of credit.

His unbothered side! Hmm. Even though that happened when Tsukasa was letting his guard down and all... it still counts in a way. The only one to 'graze' almighty Tsukasa so far.

Hmm, wonder if Tsukasa wanted to, he could use Kokujoudai regardless of what Akane did, the one not to be really affected by Mirai's seal, rules in boundaries don't seem to apply to him, hmm...

Who is distracted Akane? Tsukasa wasted no time to go with his signature move while you weren't paying attention to him. He just switches between going easy to serious that's all.

And once more, another Tsukasa signature move. Smashing heads into things. The ground, table, wall..... he is still more gentle than No.6 on the head smashing regard.

It's again, funny, the guys going to call Tsukasa guilty and voice to want to bring him to justice were brought to justice by him on their very court table. One with Tsukasa stepping on it and punching a hole through his chest, the other getting crushed into it. woooh. Tsukasa shows no mercy I see. What a fun court. ~

Seriously, he gave Akane no room to prove himself. It was a one-sided fight. Was it a fight? Half of it Tsukasa was playing.........

Again, he is so fascinated by the insides of other things. Why not tell us what's on the inside of you, Tsukasa? We're fascinated by that, too. Come on. you want to show us that once you're destroyed? while I'm a sobbing mess? How can i see with my sight blurry? ........

Anyway, the insides of Akane is flesh, Tsukasa. So, it's a relief he survived your attack. didn't you notice the blood when you hit his side?

Having Akane freeing Mirai and asking her to run (both for her safety and because she holds the yorishiro, I assume he knows it's there. Even if he didn't before, it's just a fact at that point with Kaku down and him knowing it's not within him), then for her to throw herself in front of him to get the hit instead and protect him with a selfless act. They do care for each other after all. How sweet, despite Akane going they tricked him and he hates supernaturals. He seemed taken aback by what happened to her... falling to his knees checking on her closely maybe?

Even though I don't really care for either Kaku or Mirai so far, I like her gesture with Akane. It was nice to see.

Love how Tsukasa still kept his logo of 'gentle with girls' so far. He got her not on purpose, and the time they fought before too. Still, I assume if he failed with Akane, he will be going for her. Uh......... if that happened I was going to say goodbye to gentle with girls Tsukasa. It was nice to know you. haha.

So, I was thinking for a whole month before the chapter will I go counting triple kill on Tsukasa's list when the chapter is out? It's fun to get it. Even if none of them is really 'over'. I was also hoping to see Tsukasa bloody like the time with No.3, he looked cool back then. Uh, for that to happen it had to be Akane's or Teru's? blood... since the others are just made of gears. But of course, I wouldn't want for Akane to reach that point of being badly wounded... I would be satisfied with a small amount... like if the cut to his side left a bit on Tsukasa's hand... uh... I would pay to be in Hanako's, Nene's, Teru's place or the owls and watch Tsukasa in action and going -far shore No.6 mode but X1000 COOLER like they were doing. Ahahaha, their reactions were so fun. even Teru's was funny.

Turned out the yorishiro is...

Within Mirai like I guessed. ~

And some people go saying Tsukasa killes for fun. Yeah, once his purpose is done, he didn't walk back to Akane, despite his comment on wanting to know what's on the inside of him.

Still, Tsukasa didn't go with the pattern I mentioned. If he did... we wouldn't have had all that fight so... makes sense. and I would have said goodbye to that thing

And, Tsukasa finally got his hands on the yorishiro. Mission accomplished. A yorishiro holding another. No.7's holding No.1's. Amusing. Tsukasa. ~

Though, from all the things, it turned out to be a "key"? I'm so sensitive to that. Come on.

I can't help but to go back to the time Tsukasa had Nene going back in time to get Amane's key. And, now we see him holding a key. Something feels fishy. What purpose might the 2? keys serve?

Why did he want Nene to get Amane's key? What purpose does it hold? At this stage with his plan on its final stogies shouldn't what he meant to do with making that happen come to play... with what he meant for Nene to do? What he meant for her to have? Does she still have the key with her at the moment? like... if she was brought back to normal, will it be there in her uniform pocket? Will we finally see it in use?

Hmm, I do wonder what all that Tea-party-Nene plan Tsukasa came with serves.

she seemed to help him together with her servant carry it. So? Did Tsukasa just come to them and told them "hey, we'll do this for a thing I want, nothing on your benefit." and the 2 just agreed? They were active parts of the plan. If it doesn't serve them, if it doesn't mean anything to them, if it even stands in her way if what Nene is supposed to do will turn out to be an obstacle in her way, would she have agreed to help and make her servant help? That feels so unlikely for a supposedly 'careful' evil person as her. What did they want out of that, too?

Did she just go with "it will be my chance to get the naive girl's trust so I can manipulate her easily all I want later on? Sending her servant with her to be her guide and lead her in the nowhere, and maybe to get something out of it... what did it hold?

Was she oblivious to Tsukasa's purpose out of that deal and just carried out with it for her to get the Nene trust thing and for nat to achieve something maybe? .........

Were the 3 working together or did they have goals of their own in there? Are they opposing to the point what Tsukasa wants might step in her and servant's way? Hmmmmmmmmmm..............

Everything in the tea party arc is questionable at this point. Everything in it is just tricky, full of lies, ACTING.

Ok, so he wouldn't do that to Mit 2.0 without a clear purpose. Is it to force him to create a yorishiro so they can destroy next by putting him in a life threatening situation?

Still gross, considering they only want to destroy it, regardless. Forcing Mit 2.0 to have a thing to care about more than anything, only to destroy it. Meaning they use him like some kind of toy from start to end. They will keep it around until its deal is done to them just to throw it away when it's over. Oh.... wait a sec... a toy...?

Yep, go at the right person at full force, Kou. Go ahead and show me what the whole of "my purpose" speech you gave while looking at Mit's photos mean. Show me where you stand now.

Mit 2.0, I really don't get him or Kou or their deal. At a moment he is all "I gave up, end me" then the other "ok, let's go to the festival"....... both forgot the main issue, the main problem, Mit 2.0's unstable existence. A part of what Mit 2.0/they reached now lies within his/ their ignorance of the situation they are in. So, despite nat's speech being trash, it have a bit of truth within it. Mit 2.0 and Kou could have done better if they just gave things what they are worth, instead of leaving them for who knows when.

So now, Mit 2.0 is in a real 'dying' situation. That will really show his real desire, and prove if his want to "be gone" is really that strong or not. A chance to be gone came to you, Mit 2.0.. will you accept it or resist it? Or will you go "if I'm gone, I want Kou to finish me" like you told him before? Will you end up creating a yorishiro at that point? What might it be? A thing to be your living line and at the same time so precious to you?

As Mit 2.0 peeked into all of his "old self" memories using his mirrors, a thing to be important to his old self, together with him, it's a picture of Kou, might end up becoming his yorishiro? It's in Kou's house though... if we needed a thing within the school, maybe even No.3's boundary... Hmm...

Again, it holds a meaning for both him and his "old self". Kou gave it to him and he held into it thinking of the hell of a time I went with reviewing the chapter, it keeps on showing in his arms then disappearing at a later shot repeatedly!. A moon rock, scissors, skitch book... it holds a potential of having this " 'first' precious gift" in it. The Penguin chain sadly got destroyed so... can it be repaired if he wanted? hmm...

Can it become Kou's lame traffic earing? For fun, both Mit kept commenting on it, it's from Kou, they called him referring to it, old Mit died in a car accident, we got an event of Kou gifting him a traffic earing... and were told in an early chapter it's something 'improtant' to Kou. Imagine that one will be the case. It'll be so funny.

I'm left with these options, I don't really think Mit 2.0 is capable of creating a human yorishiro (make Kou his yorishiro), that seems to be one specific task with specific circumstances I see Mit 2.0 to lack.

Now, thinking of old No.3's yorishiro that's still there. Do we need it or is it just worthless and forgettable like its owner? Seriously, the only character in this story to lack everything including an "existence" is that bird.

Hmm, looking back at Tsukasa's deal with making Mit 2.0 No.3... his speech all along was only directed to that, it's Hanako who went for the "old" yorsirho. .......

From what we heard from nat, it doesn't connect to Mit 2.0 at all.

Uhhh, thinking about Tsukasa making Mit 2.0 and making him stay by making him No.3 and then feeding him so he can keep regenerating, after that Tsukasa? What did you have in mind to do after that? You told him he can become human, he can have his wish, he's kept on living on that hope until his life became hell and jsut wanted to be gone, then kept going once more, you don't lie, right? How do you plan to grant his wish? Take responsibility, Tsukasa. He is not a toy you made to be played with by others. He is a being with feelings, wants and wishes. Either be as responsible to grant his wish, or I don't know.. try to do anything for him for him to reach a stable piece of mind and being. you can't leave him at the middle of the road. I'm sure you won't leave any of your work undone.

So, once Mit 2.0 is a full mystery will he take a new 'complete' form? not that I hold a thing against it but I feel his design in there is a symbolism of many things. some might be Tsukasa codded, even when his yorishiro is destroyed, he'll just lose authority over the boundary... would that mean he is a step toward becoming "human"? From what was said, it seems so. Uh, I see all that thing in lots of ways, one of Mit 2.0 might end up just accepting what he is, now having a stable existence, and give up on that wish. Why did he want to become human to begin with? If he can have that in his life already, is there a need for him to become "human" anymore?

On Tsukasa's side of the wish thing, having Mit crossing to become a full mystery, if we assumed he still wanted to be human, maybe once all Yorishiros are destroyed, if what she said is true..... looking at it in another way than all will be gone... if we reduced this all to the "lines" between life and death... if we assumed the world will be rewritten so the living, the dead (ghosts), supernaturals are equal and can live together... that means Mit 2.0's wish is granted along the way? He can have the life he wants without necessarily becoming human. Is that what he has in mind?

Also, if what she said is really going to happen, will Tsukasa be as pleased to go with it? I mean he goes about the rules, not the beings. It's like he is after rewriting the rules of the world to create and new one where all can be free to be whatever they want, not to blow away everything. How would that be possible with him wanting to grant Amane's wish? In saving Nene's life? And living a real life with her? what wish could he have while gone?

Uh, the whole Nene will die once the yorishiros are destroyed deal too... it feels like once he is gone, she is gone too. 2 in 1. brace yourself Amane. The DOUBLE PIAN you'll get if that were to happen! Boy............. we're similar huh

I mean from what we got so far, Tsukasa doesn't care for his own being, but Nene's life is a part of the deal. A part of Amane's wish. We need to change her fate, don't we? You going this way is clearly the wrong path, Tsukasa. Unless........ you have other things in mind. Regarding Nene's life and the world (maybe even your complicated situation). Things Amane, her and us are oblivious to. I trust you.

You're just playing with our minds and feelings, dear. But I can go with 'wait and see'. Amaze me. ♡

Even when you want to be gone, there are people? not to care and use your want as an easy to achieve step in their happiness plan, and there are people! who can't live without you, ready to pin you down, keep a strong hold around you so you won't leave, you precious boy!

Don't go I want to be gone based on fake illusions in your head. Please realize how much worthy you are. Please unleash this want to stay with Amane you have deep down within you. Please... Amane.... I'm begging you to prove to this boy how irreplicable and precious he is. How your world is just dull without him there. Please Tsukasa... this time get it. Understand him, please.

Nene, please help them both get over this miscommunication issue they have! Help them understand each other! Be the hand to bring them together!

Uhh, now I started to see Tsukasa this arc, no in the entire story as someone trying to live the moment to its fullest before he says his last goodbye. When little, before he got killed, and now... he wanted to do something special before he is gone for good, change Amane's life for the better, give him happiness. A thing to remember him 'foundly' with maybe? Having him wanting to end things with his own hands this arc...... with the last yorishiro.... Amane... Nene... all he did along the way from the very start till now.....

How could he be that good of an actor... or so collected let's say... shows nothing on him... in their birthday before he left... the time he spent after he came back waiting to be killed (not sure about his last year though) ... now... he plays and signs and... oh... how are you doing on the inside, Tsukasa?

If I went please don't leave Tsukasa, will you grant that wish for me?

Hmm... I don't get him. At the start of the story he kept on going on how much the 7 mysteries are evil and dangerous, then kept going after evil Hanako, and then... he tells Akane they are needed to 'support' the school and they will be needing No.1 to stand up for 'Tsukasa' turned out Amane took his leave at the end or...? , looking forward to see No.1 really in real action. Having him voicing if the Yorishiros are gone the land? I assume the one of the school will fall down... kinda reminds me of vol. 19's cover... would that be what happens?

The pillars he had at mind almost took the shape of those surrounding the hole in No.6's boundary under the school as I recall it, would it be like... the core of the destruction to come? The hole that links to the far shore as I recall it? Having that nat saying to Kou "This guy's been a real thorn in our side. He is been stopping just about every single supernatural that tries to make it to the mortal world... before they even get the chance to wreak havoc there."

Hmm, feels legit connecting it to his old rule, that he still takes on himself as No.6, taking care of the hole/cliff and its supernaturals crossing in.

Hmm, now maybe his disappearance makes sense? He did his last job, got over his duty... he is free to go wherever.

Since he is told the whole system is not needed anymore to protect the mortal world, his rule is over... he'll do just that.

So yes, the school seven mystries - yorishrio system, Sumire's village system... are 2 sides of the same coin, deal with the same thing. One just evolved from the other.

After all, that makes sense why the school is full of supernaturals and all, Mit, etc end up within it.

Talking about the keepers...

Could their uselessness come from the destruction of their clock as he put it before lol? Could it be that they don't care to defend their yorishiro or if it's destroyed? Could it be they can't use their time power for some reason? And that feels to not be it for the most part, since Mirai used her time power on Tsukasa and it didn't work, Kaku was taken by surprise and was down, Akane couldn't even turn his head around, the moment he did he was done. Tsukasa is not an opponent to be underestimated.

Their time power seems to take a little time for them to activate once they decide to used, even.

Could they hold up before his speed even for a few seconds just enough for them to activate it? Did they fight knowing it's a lost call? I mean he showed to be faster than the 3 of them to react.

Talking a little more about it,

Are the keepers just trying to go with the flow so they will "observe", see how things will play out before Kaku finally turns back time so then they can finally get serious? Knowing how things ordinally developed? That feels smart.

Thing is... turning time don't erase the memories of those powerful supernaturals so... Tsukasa will also remember how things went and time was brought back...

Hmm......

... what do the keepers have in mind? It would feel only legit they have something they are plotting.

Tsukasa had him hard with his act of "disappearing" to leave him all alone and broken, regardless of how hard he tries to prevent it from happening. ........

In connection to the 3-loop...

It's twisted how this "what about what a person wants" plays with Tsukasa.

The first time he left Amane without "asking him what he wants", he assumed hearing Amane's speech that's his want/wish and tried making it come true for him. Amane didn't include him in there, so if he is gone it's fine, Amane is happy. In a way, that felt like what Amane wants (unlike Nene who Amane was sure not to want him to 'save' her the way he went).

Then, when 12... I assume influenced by Kou's speech, he made sure to ask Amane to voice what he wants. To choose if he wanted him to stay or disappear. But, Amane stayed silent it seems, making Tsukasa take action. Who knows, maybe once again Amane's lack of answer had him assuming he is "whatever" just like he got when little. He doesn't need him there to be happy. Him coming back home brought Amane misfortune, so he is better off without him. His unworthy little brother. He can be happy having his dreams and future without any care for him, after all... isn't that the reason Tsukasa sacrificed himself in the first place? Until Amane gave up on all that, did what he did so they can be together. Was that what Tsukasa wanted at that point? Or did he want the opposite for Amane? He wanted him to live? Amane went and decided for them both how they will end either way. Uh. Regardless, now it feels Tsukasa at least appropriates Amane's efforts in there? At least he doesn't show to be offended by what happened, he shows to love it? Even when he doesn't understand the message? I don't really follow him there. Maybe it's the fact of he saw Amane not holding back in general and that had him pleased. It's a logo of his. And, he accepted whatever Amane decided with open arms.

And now, it's the same. Tsukasa went with "that's what you want".

He makes decisions based on a "part" of what Amane wants. But, what he really wants is there inside of him. He needs to voice it out for Tsukasa to finally understand it.

Amane tried explaining he doesn't want a wish if it meant he'll disappear... but was met with a "so?" his feelings not reaching his little brother. It seems Tsukasa is still stuck in here... and just had a lag, can't move past that.

So, Tsukasa needs him to say it clearly. "I love you. I don't want you to disappear. I want you to say by my side."

If Amane did... would he reconsider....?

Will Amane's feelings finally reach him? Will they get past their miscommunication issue? Will they finally start to understand each other a little?

Hmm... from what does Amane really want to save Tsukasa??? What does he have in mind??? If I were to tell him to take a first step in saving him, it would be to start with Tsukasa himself, save him from himself, save him from the illusions inside his head, save him from his self-doubt, worth issues that come from within him. Then, move on to the surroundings.

Why can't Tsukasa really see your love or understand any of your efforts? A part lies within your lack of putting your feelings into words and maybe also, it comes from deep within Tsukasa himself. He is so self-defeated, fast to give up on himself, he doesn't see how amazing or precious he his. He is fast to see himself in the wrong image. Which is so saaaaad. How is he supposed to believe someone really loves him? For what? You love worthless me? Can't be. Why? If anything, you must be in love with a false image you made of me. I'm not how you see me. You care for me because you're my older brother. It's a given. It's like a duty. You care for little brother. Do you care for 'Tsukasa'?

I see before Tsukasa gets to understand the love of anyone else, he needs to love himself first. How are you supposed to see the love of others when you lack self-love? When you're full of self-doubts?

Save him from that, Amane.

Before you ask even though he doesn't really, he is that selfless. if Amane hates him it's fine what matters is that he loves him and ready to do anything for him and his wishes and happiness for anyone's love, you need to start with loving yourself, accept yourself. Do you do, Tsukasa? If you don't, how is it possible for you to see, accept other's love or even understand it?

Before Hanako or even Nene try to help you, the change starts from within you. Start with changing the way you see yourself and feel about things, so you can move a step forward. Otherwise you'll keep stuck in the same place.

Both are suffering. The one who rejects and the one who is rejected.

Tsukasa is miserable, Amane is miserable. Both are miserable. How many tears will they have me shed until they are happy?

One insists on leaving, the other tries with all his might to keep him in place.

Uhhh... how does it feel trying with all your might to have your moon not to disappear beyond the clouds so you can see him always?

i have a bunch of popsicles with prompts on it and i pulled one that said "On the following Friday, we packed our bags and planned our escape"

(THIS GOT LONGER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD AHAHAHA TY I'M OBSESSED WITH THIS PROMPT and also want these popsicles)

Eddie closes the door softly behind him, stepping out soundlessly as he can in his favorite fuck-off boots, only to drop his guitar bag in surprise the second he turns around, then letting out a little involuntary yelp as he scrambles to grab it and check for dings and scrapes. 

Steve, who had been apparently taking a goddamn nap on the hood of Eddie’s van, sits up and blinks at him, looking a little grouchy. Like Eddie’s the one who’s being weird and annoying here. 

They look at each other for a second, Eddie fumbling the guitar strap back over his shoulder. 

“Henderson,” he says finally. 

“Uhh…” Steve’s eyebrows rise. 

“Henderson squealed,” Eddie supplies. “Had to have been. Because Little Sinclair lives by a strict no-snitching policy, and she’s the only other person I told.”

“Nope,” Steve says. Slides off the hood of the van, and picks up the duffel bag resting by the front wheel. 

“Did you…talk to Wayne?” Eddie asks, because, okay, that is the only other person he told. And it had been a far less dramatic goodbye than the other two, his own uncle just hugging him tight with a gruff “I understand” while those shrimps had carried on like Eddie had said he was going off to war. 

Which he wasn’t. That was exactly the point, in fact.

“Are we gonna leave any time soon?” Steve says, “Because I don’t know about you, but this side of four a.m. is a little chilly for me.”

Steve does know about Eddie, so he knows that Eddie could call bullshit on that: it is cold, Eddie knows that intellectually, knows that Wayne’s joints are giving him hell at night and the few Hawkinsites who don’t clam up when he comes near are full of small talk about how summer’s really, truly over. But Eddie doesn’t feel it. He’s got his jacket on more for the weight of it, and the security, not because he’s cold. And Steve doesn’t have a jacket at all– bare arms exposed without even a hint of a goosebump. They’re the same. Or, well, shit. They’ve got some weird shit in common now, anyway. 

“You’re not here to stop me?” Eddie asks slowly. 

Steve looks at him. Is kind of frowning, sort of his default hey-I’m-serious-about-this look as an attempt to grasp some kind of authority, often surrounded by a pack of teenagers. But there’s something soft in the way his hands drop to his sides. The way his eyes look big and round and dark in this dim dawn light. 

“No, dude,” he says. “I’m not here to stop you.”

He walks over to Eddie and takes the guitar from his shoulder, fingers slow and careful, gentle even, as they slide between Eddie’s shoulder and the strap. He takes his own duffle from Eddie’s hand. His fingertips are warm. 

“Unlock the car already,” Steve says. ��And let’s hit the road.”

Steve falls asleep again almost as soon as they’re out of Hawkins, like he just needed to get the town in his rear mirror and really be sure they were good and gone, before he could relax. And then he’s out like a light, and stays out, even when Eddie gets too caught up glancing at him in the seat next to him and almost swerves into the next lane. But even the (deserved) honks from the other drivers out there don’t rouse him. 

Eddie would love to shake him awake. Demand to know what the fuck is happening here, how Steve Harrington has ended up riding shotgun in Eddie’s van. But, uh. He’s here now, right? And maybe Eddie doesn’t actually want him to change his mind. Maybe he doesn’t actually want to do this on his own, after all. 

Steve doesn’t explain why he’s there when Eddie eventually does shake him awake, four hours later outside a promising-looking greasy spoon of a diner. Steve doesn’t explain why he’s there when Eddie gruffly rejects his offer to drive for a while. Steve doesn’t even ask where they’re going, will ask Eddie about his tape collection and about what he’d been reading lately and what the mural on the inside of the van was about and anything else that seems to come to his mind but not– nothing about what the hell is happening here. 

They stop at a motel that night, and while Eddie goes in to see about a room Steve steps out around the side to make a phone call. When Eddie has the room key in hand and is coming around to find him, he’s not like. Trying to be quiet or sneaky or anything. Maybe Steve is just too focused on what he’s saying, doesn’t hear Eddie come up behind him.

“--Not like that, Robin, I told you,” Steve is saying in a hushed, intent undertone. 

Eddie freezes. Okay. Maybe he is a little bit trying to be sneaky. He’d just love to know what all this is like. 

“Eddie’s not a baby,” Steve says, shoulders raised up around his ears defensively. “He doesn’t need me to– he doesn’t need me. I’m the one that–”

Eddie doesn’t make a sound, he knows he doesn’t, but Steve jerks around suddenly. He’s expecting a frown, at least a look of surprise. He’s not expecting the way Steve’s shoulders come down, his face smoothing over, eyes landing on Eddie with a sparkle, a brightening, almost a look of–

“I’ll call you tomorrow,” Steve says, blinking rapidly, now frowning a little bit, like he’s just remembered he’s supposed to. “Say hi to the brats for me, if you see them.” And he hangs up.

“Reporting back to your better half?” Eddie asks. 

“Ugh,” Steve steps away from the phone. “You get the room?”

“Sure did,” Eddie says. “Compliments of Uncle Sam.” He could ask. But he doesn’t. 

“Lead the way,” Steve says. 

Steve doesn’t say anything when they get to the room, not even when they realize simultaneously that there’s just one bed. It’s big enough for the both of them, and Eddie’s not worried about it because like—the whole crew of them, they’ve slept in weirder, less comfortable configurations than this. He and Steve even, though weirdly, there has tended to be at least another person in the room at least, every time. But he knows he sleeps like the dead once’s he’s out, doesn’t move much. Doesn’t gravitate towards a warm body, just because it’s there. He’s pretty sure Steve is the same.

So there’s nothing to worry about. There’s nothing to worry about. To prove it, Eddie maintains a dumbass monologue on his impressions of the motel desk clerk and her choices in hair color while he sheds his jeans and slides under the covers, not looking to see what Steve is going to wear to bed. Falls silent only when Steve turns out the light and gets in too, like the switch flipped on his ramblings too.

“Level with me,” Eddie says at last, turning over to face Steve. “How did you really know I was going to be leaving today. El give you a–” he wiggles his fingers in the dark, even if Steve can’t see them, “ –sneaky peek at my plans?”

“Eddie,” Steve laughs. “I didn’t find out from anyone. You told me.”

“The hell I did,” Eddie says immediately. 

“Last week?” Steve says. “After the uh–”

“The ambush,” Eddie says grimly, and then with a breath of realization. Because yeah, there had been the sit-down with those tombstone-gace military ghouls, the calm steady tones about skill sets and applicable knowledge and for the good of all, all of them lined up listening and nodding along in a neat row like pins in a bowling alley. Ready and happily waiting for the strike. 

And after, they’d–

“You dragged me to the Hideout, finally,” Steve laughed. “And we all got, uh. We all got a little drunk.”

Eddie puts his hands over his face. Shit. 

“I guess that’s what happens when you let the Russian suggest a drinking game,” Eddie mutters. “Though I really thought I had mostly remembered that night.”

“But not the part when it was just us? After Murray got everyone out on the dancefloor?”

“Hideout doesn’t have a dancefloor.”

“Well, Murray decided it did that night. And then it was just the two of us, at the table, because you hated the music and I, uh– I didn’t feel like being anywhere near the sight of Hopper cutting a rug.”

“Cutting a rug, huh?” Eddie says, somehow sure that wasn’t the reason.

“Sure,” Steve rolls onto his side now, facing Eddie. It’s too dark to make out his face in much detail, but he can see the sharp line of his nose, the shadow of his eyelashes as they brush across his cheeks. The upward twist of his lips. “You told me to. So I did.”

Eddie kisses Steve three weeks from now. They’ll be just fifteen miles south of the Canadian border, set up in a campsite under the stars. Far enough away for no one to think it strange, that they’re both in light jackets with winter in the wind around them. For no one to see, when Eddie takes Steve’s face in both hands, turning him towards him, to see those eyes glittering with starlight. Brings their lips together, a sweet and urgent heat, that Steve laughs into as he pulls Eddie closer. 

That’s when Eddie kisses Steve. Not now, in this hotel room, just a day away from Hawkins but feeling like it’s a whole lifetime behind them already. But now, now is when Eddie knows that he will.

and like-- god im just imagining this specific scenario where you recreate the amongus maps in ur teapot so you guys could play irl and albedo or tubby develops a teapot leisure device specifically for it so you guys could ACTUALLY FOR REAL PLAY AMONG US IRL IN THE TEAPOT

everyones wearing the suits and they got the tablets with the report button and emergency meeting buttons and everything, and albedo figures out how to stream it to the rest of Teyvat-- with everyones different povs and things and everyones just rooting for everyone and ISERHLgFSLERHJkG

okay wow-- i got sO OFF WHAT I ORIGINALLY WANTED TO SAY AHAHAH but hey at least i set some ground rules first AHAHA

but yeah. so, imagine this--

this game of among us is composed of the knights and also Venti. So thats Diluc, Kaeya, Jean, Amber, Lisa, Albedo, Sucrose, Eula, Noelle, and of course Venti. The map here in this scenario is irrelevant but, I do have to say that the "additional roles" of Scientist, Engineer, Shapeshifter, and Guardian Angel have also been added and are all implemented into this game.

the first round? rotation? whatever you call it is actually pretty eventful with Albedo, Noelle and Venti already dead. Its actually really alarming since even if its just a game, Albedo actually takes this game REALLY SERIOUSLY and shows off his skill as the captain of the investigation team. hes the actually legit detective player-- one of his greatest plays actually being how he immediately figured out who the imps are bEFORE the game even started and bEFORE ANYONE DIED. The imps that game were very annoyed (playful) to say the least.

Noelle getting got is also like-- really serious since, as everyone knows, shes very helpful. a little too helpful. when she fully trusts someone, she will do everything she can to keep them alive and safe. and if that someone is sus abt someone, she is determined to help them figure out whether or not that person is an impostor or not. ultimate crewmate basically. one of her more "scary" plays is when she unwittingly became third impostor and LITERALLY BROUGHT EVERYONE TO THEIR DEATHS. THATS HOW HELPFUL SHE IS. god she felt SO BAD afterwards but it was a good name nonetheless.

The imps killing Venti off early meant that they werent playing around anymore, because that man has the GREATEST SOUL READ OUT OF EVERYONE. helps that hes also god but we dont talk abt that and also he cant use his archon powers to cheat LOLLL. One of his most memorable moments is how before they even started the game, he cORRECTLY PREDICTED WHO THE IMPS WOULD BE THAT ROUND. when the imps received their roles, they were definitely a bit more than shocked. in that same game, he just voted the two imps to break the tie for shit and giggles. and thats how they won the game. crack energy was strong in that one LOL.

The fear and distrust is rampant the whole discussion time, with Amber and Sucrose lowkey and highkey respectively panicking, Eula making hasty assumptions, Lisa challenging those assumptions, Diluc and Kaeya at each others throats, and Jean trying and failing to get things under control. They did nOT get anywhere during that and all begrudgingly voted to skip despite being at everyones throats. everyones suspecting everyone and the only people there who are FOR SURE innocents are Amber or Sucrose.

this is because, while they both may be lousy at being imps, they still act mostly the same both as imps and crews-- aka trying their best to be helpful and win. they're both usually kinda bad at lying. not that theyre bad, its just that theyre not good and you can usually tell if theyre truthing or not by the amount of information they provide and how eager and confident they are abt it. using that knowledge, they all simultaneously agree to shadow those two everywhere since they can tell that yes, they are crewmates, yes amber did watch sucrose fumble the id card 15 times because she keeps dropping it or doing it too fast or slow, yes sucrose did the vials first before walking around the map a bit to find her next task.

so thats what happens-- they split up into group amber and sucrose and go on opposite sides of the map. and then the sabotage happens. the lights die. the amber group, consisting of, of course, amber, jean and diluc, is closer and they rush to lights where team sucrose hadnt reached yet. they all pile up into a group and pull up the lights interface. and as they set it down, theyre immediately greeted by eula reporting a dead body and amber screaming.

after jean manages to get everyone down to a respectable volume, she asks for everyone to give their testimony since she had the interface up. amber nervously says that since there were so many people at lights already, she decided to not fix it but instead watch out for any impostors that might make a move. but when she saw the blood splatter, she couldnt see who did it clearly since they were at the edge of her visibility which is when she immediately rushed forward and spammed the report button.

eula backs her up and them immediately accuses lisa of killing sucrose, off the bar that the second the lights went off she had lagged behind. lisa is greatly offended, talking about how shes targeting her since the first round with no solid basis and eula strikes back with her saying something that lisa did in the first round that made her look sus. and then diluc and kaeya start rilling it up by backing the side that they were with the most, diluc backing lisa and kaeya backing eula even if they only saw the other in passing. it gets real petty REAL fast. literally the only reason diluc is backing lisa is because while jean is trying her best to be fair, she obviously favors lisa a bit more while kaeya siding with eula is more reasonable because they actually spent time together.

it ends with amber tying the votes since despite trusting jeans judgement, all eula had done was back her up and let her voice be heard in the two times theyve had discussions and proven herself to be innocent-- lisa got voted out by kaeya and eula and amber, and eula got voted out by jean and diluc and lisa. the second their screens fade back to the table they all realize that theres gonna be no rounds left since they havent figured out who one of the imps are and theres only six of them left. all it takes is for them to kill two and its over.

they all decide to separate and spread themselves as far as they can throughout the ship to get their tasks done as fast as they can. and as amber and jean start to walk out of medbay and are greeted by kaeya and diluc suddenly appearing in the back of the room, they know that the brothers have won.

everyone is screaming when the impostor win screen pops up, featuring diluc and kaeyas beans. literally NOONE expected them to win, considering the fact that they have been at each others throats the whole time both ingame and irl. fucking NOONE expected them to just-- quietly team up to MASSACRE the entire ship. because really-- who WOULD expect it??

their entire among us game history is just them bickering with each other, it gets like-- really kind of emotional and concerning sometimes-- theyve gotten banned from playing multiple times since the whole "being an impostor" thing has very similar connotations with being a spy from another country and we aLL KNOW HOW THAT WENTTTT

the synergy between the two-- ugh--

eula is just mad she accidentally became the third impostor. AGAIN.

oh yeah, kaeya was the shapeshifter. the first kill in the first round was a double kill with venti and noelle. diluc vented out of the scene but popped up in a room where albedo was but his cooldown was still going so he just did his best to try and herd him away from the button and hope that he runs into kaeya. and fortunately kaeya does run into them, and a bit of hope blooms in albedos heart which was then promptly crushed by kaeya murdering his ass. he then watches as he turns into venti and they both leave the scene. from the second he knew they were working together, he knew they were screwed. but he does respect using the quiet expectation that they would never get along to their advantage.

the bickering did have some actual heat behind it though since diluc obviously almost fucked them in the ass when he vented infront of bedo AHAHA

ayato and itto are both pretty well adjusted and have both come to terms with their past so they see their struggles as something they’re proud of having overcome. i’m going to throw diluc in this category as well based on his recent event; when you finish his domain he takes it in an “it is what it is” kind of way

I really want ayato’s domain to mirror kazuha’s. personally I think it’s very poetic, two noble houses that fell from grace together; and while one further descends, the other rises to the top

I think thoma still has some unresolved trauma he tries to hide like his survivor’s guilt or how he never found his dad so he’d be hesitant

making xiao go through his most vulnerable moments right after perilous trail??? plssss give this man a break 😭

as previously mentioned bax has shit eyesight. hes also a bit mentally ill (lack of survival instincts), and while that can be beneficial when in dangerous situations where he needs to act effectively and expediently it can also be VERY DISADVANTAGEOUS. for obvious reasosn. what would the crew do without him? when hes constantly getting injured and incapacitated?

roy has her weird eyesight, and she has kind of the opposite of bax's problem. shes pretty anxious and has trouble acting and making quick decisions. she doesnt really like getting into *serious* trouble (she likes silly stuff and pranks and goofs though), anyways this makes it harder for her to step in when someone needs help.

clam *is* a runaway government android and so basically anything that isnt healing or surveillance is antithetical to what he was programmed for which is bad for everyone. he wants so badly to deviate and cultivate more of an identity but its gotta be just one step at a time, while roy and the others help him reprogram his body and brain bit by bit. which sucks. he wants physical agency Now.

tallys lack of horns and low-ppointing fin rays would land him very low in his home planets sort of caste system. not like. homestuck per se, its less ingrained and more socially enforced. on a dangerous planet where community contribution holds a lot of social weight, being physically weaker, lacking parental skills or instincts, and being kind of selfish on top of all of that made him very. not liked. this is part of the reason kip feels so responsible for him and overly protective.

anyways hes kinda internalized it. every single crumb of attention and validation sends his ego to the moon (metaphorically). he is torn between accepting a low place in life and society "everyone hates me, why should i change that" and desperately trying to prove his worth to anyone who will listen. yaaay mentla illness mwah (i kiss him on the forehead)

kip is the opposite of tally. he has horns. his fin rays point straight up. hes big and strong. he can hunt and protect. hes kind of tender and paternal. hes generally well respected. and he left all that. with his "nephew."

hes used to the expectation of taking care of everyone, protecting them, making sure nothing goes wrong. so he overcorrects. he comes off a bit controlling, though he normally channels this through his cooking. its like a healthy outlet, where he has control over everything as long as everyone stays OUT of his FUCKING kitchen.

hes also very slow to learn and a bit stubborn (though he tries very very hard to work on this)

hes honestly very stable and good at keeping himself together unless He were to be the one hurt and or in trouble ahahaha. he would not handle that. he would go crazy. the thought of being the one to need others makes him ill.

he is so fucking awkward around clam and its for two reasons. 1. dont wanna break him, unfamiliar object, not sure how the best way to proceed 2. stop trying to help me stop leave me alone you sick vermin

deep down he loves clam though cause he feels like theyre the same. "this weird animate object is just like me fr" he admires clams instinct to help others a lot eheheheh.

Wyatt - Given the fact that my Weenie Hut Jr DMPC has been adopted by The Horniest Party, it's bad news for him whenever the party Gets Weird and puts him in the spotlight over his relationship with Lisbet, the party's warlock. Wyatt's a very internal guy, and would rather his relationship stay between Lisbet and himself. Unfortunately for him, this is D&D, so of course the Warlock was previously engaged to someone who died but Turns Out They're Still Alive! My poor, precious bean needs a god damn break.

Zhartook - I've been leaning aroace for Zhartook for some time, so this situation probably doesn't happen unless the other party is VERY forward or more physical with their advances. Zhartook's a good noodle, and would make an attempt to respectfully decline. However, situations where he's being disregarded or ignored would get under his scales. Barring that, his own mother trying to *wink wink nudge nudge* towards the party's gnome wizard Melliwyk also sends him up a wall.

Destal - As much fun as "he does a silly lil' dance" would be, I don't think it suits him. Destal, being a three year old Aarakocra, doesn't exactly have much to go on here aside from watching a budding romance between two of his party members. Because of that, I imagine his plan to woo someone is just to express a desire to hang out with and be around them, and then either seeing what happens or hope someone kind enough throws him a lifeline.

Terkazeeus (Skyrim campaign) - Terky was actually in a long-term, serious romance before They Got Killed In The Backstory. Being the absolute bluntest of instruments, she'll just order drinks, complain about how Argonian Ale is far superior to anything found in Skyrim, and then just info-dump everything about herself and her mission on her previously unsuspecting victim. Luckily for her, her ex-fiance found her direct approach rather charming, joking that she "Must have been in Skyrim for so long she's starting to become a Nord".

Fenwick - Out of all of my OCs, Fenwick is a master of Getting the First Date and not The Second One. This doofus has all sorts of campy one-liners he's grabbed straight out of romance novels that have probably gotten him farther than he'd like to admit, but Fenwick over-excites and over-shares constantly. To some, raising a pet giant wolf spider and delving in ancient ruins to gather artifacts to convert his home into an actual museum is genuinely interesting! Those people tend to NOT be the tavern-goers Fenwick makes a move on.

Andurath - Those that aren't immediately offput by a 7 1/2 foot tall Goliath man would probably like what they find. That's good, because this boy is a TERRIBLE flirt. He's got a case of the Overly-Serious-Protagonist syndrome, but he's genuine, earnest, and calm. The kilt might raise an eyebrow, but the party's satyr warlock seems all for it!

Lok - Ahahaha no, not with his brain all scrambled and his crazy-grandpa-that-rolls-around-in-trash-with-animals aesthetic. Before The Incident is a different story. I mean, he's apparently got a kid running around, so maybe he's still got those moves!

(but I'm not afraid to change my mind, we're talking about tv shows on the freaking CW here, it's not that serious. when I see people saying shit like the prequel will ruin SPN's "legacy", I can't help but roll my eyes. as much as I love SPN, it's just a cult-y little TV show of often questionable (sometimes downright crappy, thanks to dabb, bucklemming et al) quality. once again, it's not that serious. I have never met anyone irl who was worried about something as ridiculous as a TV show's legacy and I can't see myself ever worrying about anything like that either, even though SPN is hands down my favorite show of all time. going out, touching grass etc.)

Honestly I am a sucker for retro settings, too, and I don't think the pics look bad. I just know at the end of the day it can look super cool and I won't care if I'm not into the characters and their story. So I'm sticking to personally withholding judgement, good or bad, until such time as there's a finished product to evaluate. Before that point, anything we see can easily be misconstrued, over-exaggerated in importance, or outright changed by the time there's a finished pilot.

I agree completely on the absurdity of all the bellyaching that it will somehow ruin SPN's legacy if the spin-off makes it to air and is crappy, though. SPN is a fifteen year show that can more than stand on its own - good, bad, and Dabbernatural. What happens with bad spinoffs is generally that they're mostly forgotten or mocked for their own sake. Like the Joey spinoff attempt didn't kill people's Friends nostalgia. Nobody goes, oh, X-files is ruined now, did you see The Lone Gunmen, what a joke. Nobody's writing off watching L&0: SVU marathons because Trial by Jury sank like a stone. Aside from me looking up bad spinoffs just now for examples, does anybody even remember there were spinoff attempts for The Golden Girls, Married With Children, That 70's Show? Hell, even shows that had successful spinoffs aren't usually entirely eclipsed by them - people didn't forget Cheers because of Frasier, Better Call Saul hasn't erased Breaking Bad, and people who loved original Star Trek don't care less about it because of TNG or any of the others.

And all that is only relevant if, as you point out, it's even worth worrying about a tv show's ~*legacy*~ anyway. Which yeah, is kinda weird. Pretty sure nobody thinks you're the epitome of cool for liking SPN to start with, guys.

I’m a survivor of abuse. You don’t need me to explain shit to you,

IF you hear immediately about my mental & personality conditions that I have.

I’m a partial dissociative identity person.

I’m with an ocd subtype.

I’m with alexithymia.

I’m with chronic depression.

I also live with anxiety too.

What is all this? How can I possibly be multiples?

I am a survivor of abuse, I survived 1 parent’s abuse.

They? I have no idea wtf they have. I never , even now with a lot of knowledge—

Ever have been labelling them with things.

Are they too a survivor? Yes actually…

Because I’m well aware of certain things that has happened to them,

Which has helped me piece in together shit.

My other parent? Abusive too. Are they too a survivor?

Thank you to a friend, who has explained shit to me, making me realise: I unknowingly took what I know, what I see, what I hear & experience.

You see I developed BPD, due to childhood traumas. That’s kind of my genetics but I know for sure it is my shitty assed environment.

I developed them. I developed coping mechanisms…

I ended up suppressing my feelings, I ended up hurting myself a million zillion times more than anyone else would ever know…

Label who? My parents? Oh I label them. I label them as abusive, bitchy, assholes…

Did you expect me to be… using real life serious medical terms? Hahaha, oh my god, I guess so you did.

No. I do not wish to label them like that. I can see them being anxious, I can see them have panic attacks—

But I never ever will be labelling them like I am some professional….

Yes, even if I did observe them, I don’t need to . My parents are assholes because they do not wish to accept that they may be living with things!!

They both are trauma filled, they are survivors— they just aren’t aware of things.

Some of us, such as my own very self, are aware of things that are “wrong”. Or rather feeling.. quite really wonky. Lol.

But refuse to label my parents, and I refuse to label my exes. My past lovers and my friends.

Why do I do that? Because what use is it to be using those medical labels, when I could be completely motherfucking wrong(?) but also I don’t need them to make sense of things!!

For you see, Lena here, I have grown an understanding. I have grown compassion towards peoples. I understand that you live with things, that you’ve survived or are surviving shits!!

But I do not still accept your “no accountabilities taken” either, I do not blame your.. bloody mental conditions.

Survivors of abuse, can be abusers too. Because my parents are the examples, and so am I too.

It’s no one’s fault for surviving horrors, but sadly & quite annoyingly 🙄🖕🏼🫠 We have to deal with it all.

I don’t need no labelling of medical conditions, to make sense of shit.

I already know the reasonings behind these things, that makes sense to me….

People who are survivors too, they wouldn’t know shit. But some of them be the assholey types of human peoples who act like they must label and group all of us aside and outcast us.

What an absolute joke, a bloody jestering clown if u will. I’m not sorry, it hurts.

But it’s 10 folds horrors, when you live with things you did not choose to live with, and hearing people become extremely aggressive and abusive towards YOU.

I’ll never be that kind of survivor. I will never be able to label even YOU all who behave like literal monsters with having abcd or xyz . It’s just not me. And I’m not gonna be an asshole and shield myself with being a survivor. 🖕🏼🖕🏼

I’m not sorry if you feel invalidated, I’m not so sorry if you feel like it was slap across them the motherfucking face. It’s a lot more worst to be on THIS side of things. But not everybody knows it, lives it and sees it and gets scared to near deaths of it.

Come back to me, when you are with what I have, come back to me when you are screamed at through texts or verbal encounters.

Come back to ME. When you have paranoia, when you so scared that you want to kill yourself and discard your life for being who you are.

But you were always so focused on your training that you never really noticed him

Until he really started putting himself out there for you 💀

Then he started catching your attention a bit

When you two actually started dating he tried his best to remind himself not to be overly protective

He knew that if you were able to get this far you didn’t constantly need him to protect you

This didn’t stop him from hovering around whatever area your in a bit though

And stepping in whenever things start to look bad, but that was a rare occasion

One time he straight up GRABBED you in his titan form when you were almost severely injured

You really chewed him out for that one...

He always comes out of battles way more roughed up than you

You like to tend to his wounds sometimes

He doesn’t need it obviously, but he thinks its really kind of you to do and it feels like an intimate moment between the two of you so he would never stop you

He sneaks extra food rations for you guys too sometimes

“Babe look what I found!” “Found or stole?” “...Yes.”

Most of the time you spend together is always under serious circumstances so the time you guys spend together out of that is COMPLETE tomfoolery (as Zeke calls it)

Nothing really stupid, little childish things.

Ways to relive the childhood you didn’t really have

Its not often that you get to spend time with each other without the heavy atmosphere of war

So he likes to take you to old empty kids playgrounds at night where you can play on the swingset and stargaze

Like its just you and him in the whole world ❤️

You and Pieck have been friends for as long as you can remember

But it wasn’t until you guys got older that there started to be sparks

Training wasn’t as difficult when you had each other

You guys got scolded a lot for talking during training

Shes pretty distracting lol

You guys never really formally declared that you were together

But one day someone asked and the two of you were just like “....yeah, we are”

Pieck is exact opposite to Porco

Shes not protective at all

Not in a bad way or anything!

She knows you, and she knows what you’re capable of

So she knows better than to worry herself too much over it

But of course she does a little bit cuz she loves you

After any kind of fight goes down she always goes to find you first

She always dresses your wounds and pokes fun at you a bit to ease the tension

“You’re so clumsy!! Its cute.” “Pieck I got shot??”

Her lighthearted approach to it always makes you feel better

She swears up and down thats why you have such speedy recoveries

In reality, she just takes care of you really well

She feels like since she doesn’t protect you on the battlefield she’ll definitely protect you off of it

Shes so sweet, I think shes like a lil fairy

She finds little things and brings them to you all excited

“Look what i found!” “What is it..?” “I don’t know! :D”

It always sets you off on little adventures to find out what strange things shes found are

She once found a ring and makes you wear it whenever you guys go out to fight

She always kisses it and calls it your good luck charm

For just a little piece of metal, it makes the two of you feel calmer when marching to your potential death

Even though shes very confident in her and her titans ability, the real reason why she gives you all the little trinkets is so you have something to remember her by if something suddenly goes south....

So shes really really happy that you keep them, but she didn’t realize you kept them for the same reason she gave them to you

Ahahaha you? The love of his life? On the BATTLEFIELD?

He knows you’re strong, he knows what you’re capable of and he knows you could hold your own out there

But hes also met Levi Ackerman

So he KNOWS whats out there

He trusts you, but not that much LMAO

And if you somehow are able to convince him to let you go out there you best believe you’ll have the safest job

Like being inside the carts artilery or a medic

He MUCH prefers when you don’t fight at all but do your part behind the scenes

Like organizing battle plans or preparing things for the mission itself rather than going on it yourself

He just doesn’t want to risk losing you

Would pull some serious strings to keep you off the battlefield

Dating or not dating this man loves you and thats that

He doesn’t have quite as much pull as Zeke does so hes unable to completely get you off the battlefield

But that doesn’t mean he won’t go to extreme lengths to protect you

If he hears you scream or cry out on thr battlefield...

Titan form, human form he doesn’t care

He will come RUNNING

He would carry you around on the armored titans shoulder if he could

His time with you off the battlefield is by far his favorite

He doesn’t even count the time you guys spend together in uniform

You guys are so used to the wages of war its almost robotic

But of course, its a different story when the two of you are alone

Typically at night

Its the one time the two of you can just pretend everything is okay

He likes to do peaceful things with you

Like read, or help you cook sometimes

He takes you out a lot too uwu

Sometimes a nice restaurant is just what you two need to unwind

Or maybe a visit to a play the two of you spent a lot of time as kids to bask in the nostalgia a bit

Hes still protective of you off the battlefield

After all hes been through hes scared you’ll slip through his fingers too

So he hides you away and protects you

Like a precious gem someone could try to steal away any moment

You really are the light of his life, he adores you

What if Bella got possessed by a demon in Twilight? Like pretty standard, The Exorcist type of stuff.

A lot of you anons should just head on to Ao3 instead of my inbox because whereever you went with this fic idea, I’m sure it’d be delightful. Lulzy, but an absolute delight.

Since you say Twilight, I’ll just set the timeline to the beginning of the series, when Bella has just arrived in Forks. She got possessed just before leaving, as Renée wanted to try an ouija board.

So, for the purposes of this ask, demons are real within the Twilight universe. They have to be very few and far in between, though, since humans don’t know about them and they presumably don’t care about following the Volturi law.

Bella is Reagan and the demon Pazuzu has taken up residence within her.

As happened in The Exorcist, this isn’t very noticeable at first. Bella starts saying some messed up things, yes, enough so that the other kids at school avoid her and the teachers give Charlie a call, but she’s not running down the stairs like a spider. Charlie is worried about her behavior and calls Renée about this, but he’s not dialing up any priests just yet.

Well, Bella gets worse.

Edward, for the record, was interested in this delicious smelling girl with the mystery box brain up until she started spouting profanities in the hallways at other students. Not being able to read her mind, he assumes Bella Swan is just like that. There’s no challenge, no reward, nothing to keeping her alive, his only real reason for not eating her at this point is Carlisle. Though his sheer distaste at that vulgar human who dares to tempt him so makes him resistent to drinking her blood, just out of spite. She’s not his perfect damsel with the delicious blood, and that ruins a lot of the appeal. Not all, mind, because that blood is still delicious.

Though it does help when she’s pulled out of school. Edward can pretend vulgar hamburger doesn’t exist, even as he ruffles through her wardrobe for sweaters to huff.

Back to Charlie, whose daughter is now running down the stairs like the spider.

He sends her to every shrink he can afford, has all the doctors in Forks look at her, and none of them give him an answer he can believe. He’s at his wit’s end.

And this affliction, whatever it is, that’s affecting Bella, it doesn’t seem natural, not human. She speaks in tongues, sexually assaults herself (yes, this happens in the movie), growls and hisses like an animal, in every way acts like- well, whatever it is, Charlie’s ability to deny that this his daughter’s affliction is supernatural in origin is growing thin.

But none of the shrinks can help him with that, and Charlie is a “lapsed Lutheran”, so I doubt priests is something he’ll consider all that seriously. He needs occult help, yes, but from someone who will actually help Bella.

His mind turns towards Carlisle Cullen and his children, and how Billy reacted when they moved into town.

Charlie laughed off his friends’ fears then, thought it was ridiculous to believe the Cullens could ever be anything but human. He dismissed their unusual looks as just that, unusual looks, their too-good-to-be-true cover story as them being that wonderful, and was quite happy about it.

That was then, now his daughter is fast becoming proof that the occult is indeed real.

And Dr. Cullen is so very kind, excellent in his work as a doctor and above all knowledgeable.

Say that Billy was right, that these guys aren’t as human as they appear. Well, that makes them the only people in the world, in Charlie’s world anyhow, who might be able to help.

Which is how Carlisle has the town chief walk into his office, tell him his daughter is possessed by a demon, and that Carlisle has to come over and have a look at her.

Now, as I think demons would be extremely rare, we’ll allow that Carlisle with all likelihood hasn’t seen any of these before. Quite the contrary, he was once a man who persecuted women suspected of witchcraft. He understands Charlie a little too well, but is also not touching this exorcism quest with a ten-foot pole.

Except, the chief seems convinced that Carlisle himself isn’t entirely human.

What would a human doctor do?

Carlisle really has no choice here but to come with Charlie. Besides, no matter how one looks at it what Charlie said about Bella is highly disturbing, the girl obviously needs medical attention.

So Carlisle has a look at Bella, and his “ahahaha we’re all human in here” smile quickly stiffens as he finds that whatever’s going on with Bella, it is indeed not human. She’s spitting green goo, talking Latin backwards, inhumanly strong, impersonating Carlisle’s father, and depending on how closely we follow Pazuzu’s actions in The Exorcist she may have killed a man. There’s scars on her body spelling out pleas for help.

It becomes clear to Carlisle that this girl really does need an exorcism. Or something, anyway, this is terrifying new territory for him.

But he has neither any clue nor the authority to perform an exorcism, and he lacks the network to get his hands on a human priest who’ll do this. More, even if humans could help (and considering how misinformed they are about vampires, the odds of that are extremely slim), involving more humans than have already been pulled into this would not make the Volturi happy.

There’s really only one place to go where someone will have the resources to help this suffering human, and that’s Volterra.

There’s a risk that demons are like immortal children and Aro will kill her on the spot, but Carlisle, still spooked from father Cullen’s voice coming out of this 17-year-old girl in the 21st century, has no other recourse.

So he tells Charlie he’s taking Bella somewhere Charlie can’t follow, and it’s likely they’ll never see each other again, even if Bella is saved. Charlie is devastated, but the promise that his daughter could get better means he can’t refuse. Just the fact that Carlisle isn’t entirely human yet benign makes him the best help Charlie is able to get her.

Carlisle takes Bella to Volterra, where Aro puts on his best Max von Sydow impression and says “Ah, demons... I’ve seen this once before, in the memories of a merchant from Ur...”

Knowing Aro while not knowing the lore of The Exorcist well enough to know what to do about a demon possession if you don’t have a Catholic priest on hand, I imagine Aro dresses up in whatever it is that Sumerian priests wore thousands of years ago (he always told Caius those bedazzled costumes would come in handy someday, and look who was right! VINDICATION) and tricks Pazuzu into possessing one of the humans Heidi brought in instead. This human is promptly killed. Ta-da, Aro smiles to Carlisle, he solved the problem!

Bella wakes up surrounded by insanely beautiful people in an underground palace in Italy and remembers nothing. Carlisle gets the honor of explaining to this human girl that she was possessed by a demon, Charlie asked Carlisle to fix it, and now the nice man who makes jingling noises whenever he moves because he’s dressed head to toe in gold wants her to be a different kind of demon because he can’t read her mind.

Bella caught maybe half of that.

Carlisle refuses to elaborate on the “possessed by a demon” part. No, Bella, you did nothing embarrassing, no one thought you were weird. We hardly noticed you were possessed at all!

But he was serious about that last part, Aro noticed she has a special ability so he’d like for her to become a vampire.

Bella, still, overwhelmed, makes a phone call to Charlie explaining nothing at all but assuring him that the demon is gone. She is then made a vampire.

Edward arrives too late to the party, so late that the party is in fact over, as he didn’t believe Carlisle when he said hamburger was possessed by a demon. Now it turns out that the disgusting, vulgar girl was in fact a delicate flower and a damsel in distress this whole time. Except, now she’s a vampire. Woe! Theirs is a love that never bloomed.

Bella has no idea who this guy is, and asks Renata to make him go away.

I did and I’m glad it was addressed whether it was in the script or not (apparently james wanted namjoon to bring it up which could be a rumor), however I was at least expecting james to say “I’m sorry”… armys have been portrayed as these little screaming girls for years, I still remember the time before james, when armys were literally proving they’re adults, some of them even older than the members themselves on twt to prove a point and I feel like it is touchy subject, just to make a “joke” about and also he said other things. I get that some fans aren’t simply offended by his “joke” but instead of him apologizing directly, he went on about how he was sent dead threats which of course, is very serious but obviously they brought it up to move on from it and bringing especially that was more like a jab to me, to put some kind of blame and bad light on armys (and surely, what happened isn’t a reason to send anyone dead threats, but mature and smart fans would never stoop so low but that’s another topic) and it’s more about the fact that he could’ve just said, okay I’m sorry if I offended you or any of your fans, I’ll learn from this and let’s move on, you know what I’m saying? and instead, he suddenly tries to throw “unnecessary” praise to army that seem forced and what he cares about is if he’s still papa mochi??? 💀 obviously, I’ll move on from this but I still have my opinion about him after this, and it’s coming from someone who was enjoying his show and him being a host
