@bambi-disciple wrote a really good post on BS and if it really works (which ill link to at the bottom of this post), and while i have been on a sort BS hiatus for a little while, i wanted to write a little about some of what i have noticed for me?

At the time when id first run across it, the bimbo and hypno scene were still very cis, het, and essentialist. Most bimbofication material out there was heavily cishet. some the point of being actively transphobic. Hell, tbh a lot of it still feel pretty antitrans... but anyway...

I started listening to BS in April of 2021. I had heard of it before, and might have even listen to the initial release once or twice a few years before but had been a little reluctant to really dive into it. Id played with hypno before (ok, like lots), but BS seemed like it might want to be more extreme than i was ready for and very cis woman centric.

Skip forward a few years, and it wasnt until i started seeing some of the bimbofication and stepfordization creators making more gender inclusive content that instarted feeling a little more comfortable dipping my toe back in.

I am a trans woman. I went on hormones and socially transitioned almost two decades ago and in the kink scene for over three. I knew how to do my makeup and be cute and all those things, but like, i wasnt keeping up with them.

I was needing that internal drive and encouragement to be prettier. To push myself further. So for me it was less about self acceptance as a girl or submissive and more about wanting to be a better good girl. And i figured i might want to check out if BS could help.

Im one of those folks who would check all three of the boxes described by @bambi-disciple - wanting it to happen, beleiving it could happen, ans being aroused by the idea. Even with those they doesnt always mean automatic success. My mind often "stays awake" in trance, i am very reluctant to give up control (even when i think i want to and even to myself), and just a host of other issues which keep me from.being consistent or internal resistance to asepcts to the file. There have been some changes ive noticed tho:

* im much more open with my partners. Im still reclutant or shy to talk about my stuff, because i dont want them to be uncomfortable. But that might be more me projecting on them.

* wearing making up much more constantly again. Almost every day or at least when going out.

* pink. A lot more pink. And much more comfortable wearing pink. Previously it was all mostly black.

* eating healther. I now eat a lot more healthier. Salad are much more common for me. As well dried fruits and the like.

* much more casual in my writing. More willing to make typos and let them slide. More willing to just use txt speak and abbrevations and such.

* more comfort with posting myself on the interent, including a brief stint of doing porn sadly the latest stunt feom my stalker (hi stalker) wrecked the relationship with the studeo i was working with + i simply dont have the time with having to go into work and taking care of the family and home. Still it was super fun.

Those are the biggest changes ive noticed over the past couple years. I havent listen to BS for a few months rn. Im not really sure what my future plans are with it. I will prob stsrt up again at some point, but like i have a lot of upcoming things whjch require a lot of focus. It's like i have this desire to relapse but im holding back? Idk.

imagine hikaru doesnt calm him down in time and kaoru wakes up to hikaru holding him and stroking his hair trying to calm him all concerned looking. hes scared bc he just bolted awake from a super vivid nightmare so he really appreciates being held but then he realizes it must've been obvious he was having a nightmare which is exactly what he was afraid of happening

so obviously hes worried hikaru heard something and knows what the dream was about, so he asks if he said anything in his sleep

and hikaru doesnt want to tell him he Did hear something so hes like 'whaaaaat no lmaoo' and kaoru looks at him and just knows that he knows Something and hikaru sees hes suspicious so theyre like🧍‍♂️🧍‍♂️staring at each other

but atp kaorus too tired to push it so he just tries to (really adamantly) assure hikaru hes alright the best he can until he falls asleep. this only concerns hikaru more

BUT!!!! THIS IS SO GOOD!!!!!!! THE POTENTIAL... THE THOUGHTS IM GETTING.... OKOK HEAR ME OUT BASED ON YOUR IDEA:

Hikaru hears Kaoru having one of his nightmares - he's heard this before, maybe once or twice. Not often for sure, but it still worries him. The whimpering and begging not to be alone. So, of course, Hikaru does what he always does when Kaoru has a nightmare of any natures and hold him tight, maybe whispers some things to him in the off-chance he may hear it. Typically, Kaoru calms down once in his brother's arms and falls into a relatively peaceful sleep, but...

Kaoru wakes up. Well, more like he jolts up. It's that really violent jerk into consciousness you get with those weird dreams where it's like, you're falling and you wake up right before you hit the ground. Like that. It surprises Hikaru of course, having not expected it, but he recovers quickly to make sure Kaoru is okay. He waits a few seconds for Kaoru to orientate himself back with reality before asking "Are you okay?" or any variation of. Kaoru, of course, is surprised that Hikaru is still awake, and knowing that he has a small penchant for talking in his sleep, his first question is to ask Hikaru if he said anything in his sleep.

Hikaru, vividly remembering all the small, broken pleas to not be abandoned or forgotten: "What? Nooo... nothing at all :)"

Hikaru is a shit liar when it comes to his brother. And Kaoru 100% knows this. But he's afraid to push it, especially still sleepy like this, so he just assures Hikaru that it was a stupid nightmare and it means nothing and he's fine now. You know, he has an active imagination in his sleep, it's not worrisome at all, so just forget about it.

The adamant reassurance that it was nothing and that it means nothing makes Hikaru more suspicious and worried, but he keeps it to himself and focuses on getting Kaoru to fall back asleep. Once Kaoru is asleep, Hikaru gets to thinking...

The thing is, they're both p heavy sleepers, but Hikaru is more likely to fall asleep first and wake up last, meaning the amount of times he actually hears Kaoru in his sleep is very small, since he'd have to be awake for it. He wants to keep an eye on Kaoru, though. And out of both curiosity and worry, he devises a small plan to stay up later until Kaoru falls asleep first to make sure he's not having routinely night terrors. Because, like, that'd be alarming, right?

Hikaru's finds, disturbingly, that Kaoru is having these types of nightmares a lot. Like, 2-3 times a week. (I imagine this is taking place post episode 21, where Kaoru's anxiety is at the highest). He of course does everything he used to, holding him in his sleep and whatnot, but he feels guilty. Because this clearly isn't enough. Hikaru is no psychologist, but he knows there must be something wrong with Kaoru in his waking life to have the same type of nightmare multiple times a week. And the fact Hikaru hasn't realized this until now makes him feel really guilty. Like, how has he not realized there's something going on with his baby brother?

He's not sure how to fix it, short of asking Kaoru himself. And he's not too sure how to approach it, either. He begins sticking closer by Kaoru in the day time, both as a means to maybe figure out what's going on + give him company, which seems to be something Kaoru is afraid of losing. Kaoru seems... suspicious of Hikaru's behavior, if not downright displeased by it. He says, "You don't have to stick by me all the time" and whatnot, and when Hikaru just says he "wants to", well... Kaoru really has no response.

Ahhhh.... and the story could go so many ways from there... that's what's so amazing abt Hikakao. I mean, maybe Kaoru tries pushing his brother away intentionally bc it's what he thinks is best; to get it over with etc. Maybe he stubbornly clings on. If you wanted to go any sort of romantic route, I can easily see Kaoru pushing Hikaru away on purpose bc he doesn't his brother to get too attached like he has; he doesn't want to "corrupt" his brother and ruin his life. And of course, regardless of it being platonic/romantic/etc, Kaoru will probably be worrying about what's best for Hikaru the whole time, not himself. Because, isn't that so like Kaoru? To worry and care about his brother, but never extend that same level of empathy to himself? To always worry about what will let his brother live the happiest, most fulfilling life, and not ever stop to think about his own happiness?

It reminds me a lot of this tidbit:

politics dont work on dsmp like you think they do: a badly written analysis

ok ive been seeing posts about techno being ancap because he teamed with quackity and purpled so I thought Id write something out to get my thoughts out there. (not only those, those are just the ones that felt like a punch to the gut) nobodys gonna see this but none of my friends are into this fandom (understandably) that i can talk to so here we go!!!

warning, this is p long!! there are 3 sections:

Anarchy v. democracy (differences to real life)

tubbo v. schlatt: minecraft governments

specific types of posts that we hate to see/dont make sense

Anarchy v. democracy (differences to irl)

So the fact that there are differences from minecraft rp to irl is pretty obvious, but i still see people talking like its not so heres some points. I see a lot of people defend c!tubbo and lmanburg for making a government, but I dont think they see the imact of government (even democracy) on the dsmp because it works for countries irl. so here you go: theres like 20 active members on dsmp. only half are in lmanburg.

why does this matter? because (as techno has mentioned in a couple of streams) thats a very small amount of people. lmanburg as a country could operate as an equal nation, as they could all fit at one table to talk. literally. Imagine someone in your household or in your friendgroup declaring themselves president and then actually having the power to make laws and exile people. weird right? It doesnt matter if the friend is well-liked or elected, they still have the power to control everyone else with no repercussions. Technoblade and Philzas perspective is this: nobody here should be given the power, because it always changes them and turns sour fast. they advocate for anarchy, which sounds crazy and violent, but what they really want is the friend group to be back on equal terms.

compare this to united states politics and then you open up a completely different can of worms. Those who argue for a system to hold people accountable and to make a system for orderly mass change are still justified. principles of anarchy built for large nations are still valid, but MUCH easier to achieve on a small minecraft server

tubbo v. schlatt: minecraft governments

SO. lets talk about tubbos rule. he seems to have good intentions at first, and is definitely not as bad as schlatt, but things start to go badly as he realizes he can get away with more and more. say we give him a by for exiling tommy because he was manipulated. (even though a government allows those systems to happen IN THE FIRST PLACE).

Technos execution is the first glaring red flag of his presidency. you could say that he was doing it as revege for?? two withers?? but then quackitys speech and the existence of a hit list immediately counter that. IF the execution was for JUSTICE they would have let him have a TRIAL. thats why its called the JUSTICE system. They have a pre-built courthouse and everything!! Another example of tubbos presidency souring is the destruction of phils house. they kept a man who constantly moves around in house arrest for the crime of?? being friends with someone?? as well as break his windows and loot his chests, the very same thing he condemned tommy and ranboo for. (ranboo is not innocent either btw, i have a whole nother rant about why i lowkey cant stand ranboos character, but thats for later.)

Not to mention pressuring ranboo to hurt people he didnt have qualms with, continuing to force a no-armor rule despite residents having reason to be wary, and selectively choosing who to be in his "cabinet", pushing people like Niki, who have been there since the beginning, to the side for QUACKITY of all people who has a very scuffed moral compass.

What did schlatt do again? he raised taxes, especially for niki (one of the only things he is very much at fault for), broke trees and buildings, enforced borders, killed tubbo, and exiled two of his competitors. Personally, I'd say tubbo and schlatt are equally bad here, schlatt just seems worse because he made his intentions known.

specific types of posts that we hate to see

we as in me. i hate to see em. Political compasses??? ew. bad. dsmp has only 20 people and no economy. (quackity wants to make one to gain power, purpled made a unsucessful real estate buisness for laughs early on.) People associating the syndicate/anarhcy with violence and chaos?? NO. BAD. they just want the friend group to be equal again. they just want a system where they cant be betrayed, ignored, and stepped on for no reason.

-extra snowchester point because this gets on my nerves. the syndicate was not expecting tubbo to be there. they did not go in any buildings without permission. they were very upfront about their goals and suspicions. not once was violence threatened, even after learning about nukes. also do not try me with "but techno has withers!!" EVERYONE can get withers. withers are a nuisance but destroy land maybe 4-5 blocks deep.

TUBBO and MANY OTHER SERVER MEMBERS have stolen and walked on technos land and he did nothing. He SAW tubbo, knew about connor, etc. and he did nothing. If youre upset about techno stepping foot on tubbos land, be upset at tubbo for doing the same to techno first.

conclusion

anarchy in a server is just "hey can we not?? dictate the lives of out friends??" and governments of ANY KIND have hurt people on all occasions. this is not the same irl. please know the difference.

i'm also thinking about kat & subspace lmao. nothing super specific mostly just about how happy & safe she would have to feel to get to that point & the sheer volume of Trust that would need to be built up but god. thinking about how absolutely vulnerable & trusting & adoring the look in her eyes would be has me Fucked Up i tell u ! she's got herself in a little self-imposed castle of touch starvation rn she would be unbelievably physically affectionate in that headspace.

also she cries. like, frequently ghgjhk but the Good Cathartic sort (9/10 times anyway when the stimuli doesnt trip over an actual trigger whoops). she’s had quite a few partners who didn’t treat her well--weren’t concerned with her wellbeing or what she wanted, or even if she wanted it in the first place. there’s some ptsd there for sure, and it shows up especially earlier on. a lot of 'oh god yes' and then a cold jerk back to reality & consciousness with 'don't touch me' as one does. she's p good now tho gfhgjh just enjoys tapping out mentally and being blissfully unaware of everything for a bit. 

so she needs to hear nines say that she’s doing good, that she’s being taken care of, needs him to be safe & solid and Present. loses her mind a bit if physical contact is accidentally broken. it’s about feeling like she can rely on someone to help her feel grounded. (i feel like he's lowkey relieved she's not prickly all the time and can actually become pretty pliant once you know the right buttons to push lmao)

though that said she might not react that sweetly to being teased in public but it's certainly gonna get A Reaction eyes emoji. whispers in the ear, 'accidental' touches, god yeah. she's actually lowkey embarrassed by how easy it is to get her worked up lmao but she's pretty good at keeping composure around people (externally gfhgj) 

 if the idea is presented enticingly enough she might even be swayed to use some sort of discreet remote controlled devices iykwim. (i think for that one it would have to absolutely not around people either of them knew gfhgjh no one wants to have the awareness of that being an elephant in the room. like i can’t see nines being down for that if they’re gonna be around the coterie because someone will notice and it Will become awkward.)

another thing that driver her absolutely fucking crazy is being pulled into some corner, kissed & felt up in a frenzy and then Stopping abruptly & having to act like nothing happened. rinse and repeat throughout the night for hours of build up and sweet torture & she’s practically in tears, in pieces and begging for it when they’re finally alone.

Not gonna lie, this was actually p hard to answer. I’m honestly proud of any piece I get done, especially any full body, full color, full background pieces, and I refuse to let myself out-right hate anything that I draw in general now-a-days, unfinished or no. I draw for fun, always have, so I try not to put too much worry on how good something looks so long as it gets my idea across in a way that I like, or that I tried?? (And ik being proud of a piece doesnt have to tie into what the end result looks like, im just covering that base) I looked through all of my recent digital art on my ipad(that i’ve had what, 3-4 years at this point?) and found myself about just as happy with each finished piece-

-Except one. There is one piece that I forget about constantly but I’m honestly super proud of the amount of effort it had put in to reach the end result. It probably sees a number of glances infrequently(due to my sporatic activity on said blog) but isnt posted to this blog’s art tag.

It’s the blog banner I drew for my @thelostguardianau fic, of the(at the time) whole cast in the au. You can find the post to reblog it from here but i’m also adding it below for reference. (* and honestly I’ll mention every other art piece in this au posted to it’s blog stands at having this same proudness, as each individual characters complicated design fed into this big banner, each one having a giant set of uniquely drawn wings, complex body markings, and unique clothing and features. And I would not have been able to complete this banner without having those singular character chart pieces finished first, except for Thomas’s design, who has yet to be posted for ✨reasons✨)

This fricking Banner was and still is(for now, *wink*) the most ambitious piece I’ve managed to finish. It took me so long, my wrist hated me, my ipad hated me, my ipencil hated me, medibang hated me, this piece pushed the limits of the poor app. Every time I try and open this piece up on the app it takes a solid couple seconds to open, save, and close.

From sketching to lining every single character, to having to uniquely match up Their Wing Sizes and Heights, because Guardians are fucking Tall, so Wing size and Height size was hell to calculate and portray. Why, you might ask?

Because I was limited to the proportions that would actually fit into a tumblr mobile banner. Which, funfact, is much smaller than you’d think!

I had to make sure they’d all fit, wings and all. And they didnt fcking want to. But I made it fit, because I wanted a full body + wings cast banner and goddamn it that was going to happen. And I did. And I lost a fuck-off amount of detail-space for it.

Coloring it wasn’t exactly difficult, but I will once again point back to this app hating this piece and it draining my battery because of it. I work in layers. My lineart will have 5-6 different layers in color before I combine them and set the hue to black, but I still keep my lineart seperate in that each character has their own lineart, and the background lineart is seperate.

I had their lineart, and probably still do, seperated into Seven different layers, one per character, each one w/ an extra masking layer for their wing glow. Each character got their own folder for colors, and had multiple layers for each colored section: clothing, skin, skin blush + eye whites, hair, wings, body markings, marking glow. And then there was the background layers, and the glowing affects, ect. The whole piece stands at having about 80 total layers having been used over the course of making it.

So yeah, Medibang does not like this piece when I try to open it. xD

But really, setting aside fighting and babying technology thats being pushed close to its limit, the real pride comes from the fact that this piece has Seven fully colored, near-full body characters drawn, all touching and interacting and accurate to the scale that I made. It is the most amount of characters in one piece that I’ve ever drawn, colored, and finished, and I’m pretty fricken proud of it.

Which makes it all the more daunting that said banner is going to get an upgrade, because it’s a Character Cast Banner after all, and its going to have four more fully designed and full winged characters added into it.

And by upgrade, I mean I get to redraw the whole dang thing. Because I gotta rearrange ✨everyone’s✨ positions. And at this point, the only way thats possible is by starting over.

so in the mortal world...think BNHA? every god basically has a "hero" agency. mortals can see monsters but they dont know the extent of the gods+demigods thing

each god has its own agency that they head but like they fake their deaths every 20ish years so mortals dont get sus

so every demigod has their basic demigoddy - annabeth's like super smart tho but like she's athena's fave so she's expecting some kind of blessing before she joins her mom's agency

greek and roman camps have an exchange program where percy and annabeth finally meet but like because of reasons they dont really get along and proceed to spend a lot of their time just pissing each other off and being suuuuuuuuuper passive aggressive

annabeth's a lil bitter bc she doesnt have any special powers and she's kind of jealous that percy's got such incredible abilities that have been basically dropped into his lap

and it kind of all comes to a greek v roman capture the flag where annabeth's plan ends up winning it for the greeks, but then percy p much beats her in a fight - anyways S E X U A L T E N S I O N

ok so they hook up a few times over the months and they're kinda becoming friends??? and then it's time for the romans to leave

jason decides to stay bc he and piper get it on and percy's like hey should i stay bc he like actually likes annabeth

but annabeth's been thinking it's casual and pushing away her feelings bc she wants to join her moms agency and so she goes like why would u stay lol (YIKES)

SO YEAH SHE BREAKS HIS LIL HEART and percy goes back

TIMESKIP years later annabeth is ranked 1, percy's 2, and shes based in new york and percy in cali

kronos has been defeated but the gods are sensing some titan activity in NY

and then to show a UNITED FRONT the gods are like let's bring percy to NY SO THEY HAVE TO WORK TOGETHER AND SHIT AND THERES ALL THE GOOD STUFF - annabeth learns to accept herself even tho she doesnt have flashy powers and she learns that percy doesn't care anyway. also defying mean goldy moms and choosing love and happiness!!

😬 again a mixed bag. If he's been activated enough during the day he might sleep pretty ok. Be a bit twitchy, wake up a few times, ask for some affection and pass out again. But u gta give him activities fr.... go jogging together.... get him to go out shopping groceries.... just, you know.

If he has even slight extra energy, he WILL force himself to be up. So, nights may be a little difficult :( he'll be talkative, get up and walk around, mess around w a torch, get sandwiches, come back to sleep, gets up, gets drinks, goes on a rant,.... you know.

andi: just over 5 feet tall, very chubby / potato-shaped. this man has No muscle mass. hair is Ridiculously fluffy & is dyed orange (his natural colour is brown). his right eye is a bit fucked up so he’s always squinting with it and it makes his expressions look really weird gdzhkdjghdfj he probably needs glasses but keeps leaving them at his desk which is definitely not something i do he’s the shortest & youngest member of the science team. he’s just barely shorter than coomer. coomer can also definitely throw him straight up and he’d never be seen ever again has his labcoat sleeves pushed up / rolled up (its inconsistent) to the elbow, & wears plain colour t-shirts under it. his boots help him feel taller some of our self-insert ocs have scars on their arm bc of personal shit and im still undecided on if andi has them too. if he does, he gets them during the black mesa incident

Alright, a second major arc for both Helena and Tim! Let’s dive into it!

(no warnings that i can think of except genre-typical gang activity mentioned?)

For Helena:

Let’s start off with the fact that I SHOULD have read thru to #6, bc that one capped off the previous story arc v nicely. Helena Got Her Vengeance

now, technically she DIDN’T directly kill the man who like, Pulled The Trigger on her family (bc the guy who ordered the hit in the first place did that himself) BUT she did have a more active hand in THAT guy’s death. so im calling that a Win in the Vengeance Category. YOU GO HELENA

Did a brief detour with the JL adventures she participates in. nothing major to report on that front but im cautiously optimistic for what it’ll foreshadow for how well she plays with others lmao

as far as the second major arc of her solo goes: if the first arc was vengeance, this next was was Fallout. both in the sense of the legacy her father left behind, and in what almost became of NYC (and yes, she’s def operating out of NY for now, not gotham which!!! is interesting!)

the A-plot for most of it is taking down a serial killer who figured out the cypher to her dad’s ledgers and was a pretty satisfying read on its own? but then...

theres a b-plot abt a mostly drug-based gang trying to get their hands on nuclear technology and their means of doing it just... put a really shadow on the A plot to me.

like its cool to see the lines Helena’s drawing and her handling something so big!!!

but at the same time, there’s so much loss that occurs before Helena’s even aware of the situation and just... it really rubs me wrong in a way i cant fully articulate yet. but we’ll see. all early stories are flexible i suppose when her origins are going to be retconned away too.

And onward to Tim:

so the big things about the Robin mini-series and the story-arc that Dixon followed it up with... or at least what really drew my attention. was the inclusion of Shiva

bc Tim acknowledges that she’s like... actively killing people while she’s helping him and Rawlins.... but goes along with her training anyways??? and doesn’t??? yknow at least like? bargain with her to Maybe Not Kill While He’s Around???

idk!!! even Dinah at least had a throwaway line abt that from what i can remember of BoP but!!! maybe I’m overthinking it

oh, also looking back on the notes i made! “Ducard”! was a lot of fun seeing a name i could recognize! love when there’s generations interacting in comics & the layers/degrees of separation that it gives. One of these days we gotta build up a game of like. Six Degrees of Shazam or smthn where we try to find out how far apart different heroes/characters are separated from each other
