or just a fanfic exploring their dynamic. hot take their dynamic would be SO interesting because they definitely wouldn't. get along in canon, maybe in an alternate universe but in canon they'd be at each other's throats

....ok so slight spoilers I guess, but one of the reasons I've been thinking about their dynamic so much is because the Howl AU sequel I'm going to write will primarily focus on Nikolai and Chuuya, and a substantial portion of it is going to be just them having very tense conversations and debates about their clashing world views — so there's going to be at least one fic about them, once I get to it! :D It is an AU of course, but they will still be extremely at each other's throats (actually, because of one particular aspect of the Howl AU that people who have read it will probably realize, they're actually a bit more antagonistic than canon lol)

Symphony of Gods and Dreamers AU/DSMP Rewrite

🟢 DSMP (sorry for bad grammar, this was mostly just me vomiting my ideas onto the post)

My DSMP rewrite makes the world so much bigger and full of life than canon.

The arctic empire from SMP earth exists, hypixel is a whole kingdom, the bear SMP exists and that’s where Niki is from, the wreckage of tales from the SMP locations can be found in the woods, places from fanfics such as the blue valley are very important to the story. The story takes place over a much longer period of time, the L’Manberg revolution alone lasts several years! Dream is like 50! He was an adult before Wilson was even born. Tommy and Tubbo had families before being adopted by Philza, but they were killed by Dream’s armies in their quest to conquer the world. Dream stole the revival book from Kristin decades ago.

Dream is a tyrant and a cult leader with armies and followers dedicated to his mission to control as much of the world as possible. The DreamSMP is a continent that Dream has discovered and, at the beginning of the events of the server, it has small townships spread around the woods that are full of people gathering resources for colonies. The original L’Manberg members were followers of Dream who had begun to question his power.

Las Nevadas is not just one street with some restaurants and a casino! It’s a massive fucking city with hundreds of thousands of citizens, they have communities and schools and farmer’s markets, It’s the first city in the SMP with paved roads! Snowchester is a cosy little college town up north surrounded by mountains. Students from schools in Snowchester and Las Nevadas go on field trips to L’Manberg and Eret’s castle. The center of the SMP is this huge historic town kept in top condition by volunteers dedicated to preserving the history of the land.

Kinoko Kingdom was built by natives of the SMP and can be found deep within the forest. The people of the kingdom have myths and legends of a time when dragons and demons and gods roamed the earth. When Sapnap showed up, being half demon, they worshipped him and made him their ruler.

There is an entire cult that worships DreamXD! every few hundred years XD selects a member of his cult to give godhood to (Techno, Foolish, and Callahan are amongst those selected). DreamXD is older than the universe itself and has witnessed the rise and fall of countless worlds. Several SMP members were gods in their past lives and knew XD personally (some relationships were more positive than others). That’s why XD is so infatuated with George and so hateful of Bbh.

Characters like Puffy, Antfrost, and Sam are just single individuals who are members of entire original species. Ranboo was born a prince in the end but his people were driven out. The nether was accidentally discovered by cultists and legend says that’s where the demons came from.

My vision of the SMP has grown far beyond a Minecraft roleplay. I wish I could tell you everything but that would take way too long to write. For now I’m just focusing on Wilson and the other tropesonas. I can’t possibly talk about every single character and that makes me mad. Maybe in the future I will go into more detail on sbi and DreamXD.

But I will elaborate on the question "What happens when MC dies/isn't there anymore?"

This is also a lot to unpack for one ask so I'll only be skimming the surface of the lore for this au bc I doubt anyone cares (though I may mention characters like Ari, Dev, or Metzi in my stories)

Lucifer

Anyone who's on my page would know I'm an avid Dialuci shipper. In my Future AU, Diavolo and Lucifer are married and ruling as the Kings of Devildom.

Life doesn't change all that much for them. They're still always working. They don't go to the HoL family gatherings (hosted by the twins and Beel's wife Dahlia) unless they aren't swamped with work.

Mammon

Mammon is one of the brothers that keeps in contact with NB! MC who's become a demon by now (M!MC according to my universe becomes an angel with Simeon after the two fall in love and F!MC becomes a reaper with Thirteen after the two fall in love)

Mammon gets a wife named Aezorin Idreius, Zori for short. Mammon and Zori run a series of casinos called Lucky Coin.

Zori is a wrath demon. She's an axolotl demon. She's Scottish and much taller than Mammon. Zori is an intersex woman who's a siren. Zori is also the feared captain of the Black Mantis, a pirate ship.

Leviathan

One of the brothers that doesn't get married. He gets a (partner? Best friend?) roommate named Adramalech Dreik-Mukhin, Adra for short.

They're a friend Levi met in school. Adra is a coder for a company that makes video games and Levi is a game tester. Adra and Levi live together.

Adra is a transmasc envy demon. They're a dragon-fly demon. They're very anxious always and generally keep to themselves at the HoL family gatherings, which Levi and Adra regularly attend.

Satan

Satan lives at the castle as one of two Royal Archivists. The Archives are books and magical typewriters charmed to write the history of the entirety of Devildom. An Archivist's job is to sort these books and read the history.

Satan's girlfriend is named Metztli Rex, Diavolo's adopted younger sister. Satan and Metzi met when Diavolo hired Satan to be an Archivist.

Metzi is a greed demon with cotton candy pink hair. She's much smaller than anyone else and is often hovering slightly above the ground. She's an albino bat demon. She's also extremely traumatized (which I will not go into unless someone asked. Check out my AO3 for more info)

Asmodeus

Asmo lives as a fashion designer and p'rn star. He has three partners (bc Asmo is polyamorous bc of course he is)

Solomon is the first and most obvious. He's still the greatest sorcerer and still normal him. Ariadne Kamini is a fashion designer Asmo met at a modeling job. She's a succubus. Devereaux Eros is a str'pper with the nickname of Rose Quartz. He's an incubus. Asmo and him met at a str'pclub.

Asmo and his partners always go to the meetings at the HoL

Beelzebub and Belphegor

They get the same section because I headcanon Belphie as being on the Aroace spectrum.

Beel is married to Dahlia Toth, a gluttony demon who is a cook. Dahlia and Beel own a string of restaurants called Infernal Delights. Belphie lives with them at the HoL bc Beel is never without his twin.

Dahlia is a trans woman. Dahlia was a human before she became a demon (called a Sinner Soul by most demons) and she murdered her husband and then became a demon.

BITE BACK (REPLACED AU) chapter 1

"Good morning everyone!" Diavolo greeted to everyone. "I am happy to announce that there will be a new exchange student! Due to the fact that so far our program has been a huge success I have decided to add another member. She will arrive next week at 6:00am sharp, I expect everyone to treat her with care. That is all for today's meeting."

~couple hours later at the house of lamentation~

" ughh I can't belive a normie is gonna start living with us! I know that I'm a shut in otaku who's useless and have no worth, but still! Even I don't deserve this. " Leviathan complained as he continues to read a limited edition manga he bought titled "ruri-chan's adventure to the cake kingdom volume 9". "what a headache there's already so much people livin' here and now their addin' another one?! Their insane I tell ya INSANE! ." after a couple minutes the room is suddenly filled with complains from the demon brothers as you just quietly think about all the things you could do with the new exchange student.

" SILENCE! "You flinched as lucifer shouted.

" We will be allowing the new student to live here with us, wether you like it or not. Lord Diavolo's orders. Now stop complaing and start preparing for their arrival!". After saying that lucifer began his 10 hour long lecture about how they have to stop complaing so much as you sneakily escaped the scolding.

~after a week~

"hello everyone! My name is Belle, it is a pleasure to meet you guys!" The new student exclaimed as she brought in her belongings. "welcome." Lucifer welcomed her with if not the dullest greeting someone could possibly give.

As time went by Belle actually started getting along with everyone, including you, but one day, you not-so-accidently tripped because of Belle. You looked up to se Belle covering her.....smirk...? Gritting your teeth you furrowed your eyebrows while looking down the ground to avoid anyone seeing your face. calm down, calm down. You thought to yourself. I see how it is. You wanna play like this fine. Let's play this game.

As time went on Belle managed to completely get the brothers on her side and successfully made them cast you away like you're nothing more than a toy they got tired of but you remained calm in fact you haven't shown your face to the brothers for 2 weeks straight! Why? Because your hanging out and basically living in the purgatory with the angels and the demon king's Castle with diavolo and his butler.

"Has anyone seen Mc? I was supposed to hand them a document but their nowhere to be found." Lucifer asked his brothers "no idea- anyways, Belle, wanna go the casino with me?" mammon answered "ehhhhh~ no way! Come to the new salon that opened just last week with me instead! Besides there's no fun watching Mammon loose anyway, isn't that right dear?" Asmo said while pulling Belle closer to him "WHAT DID YA' JUST SAY?!?" Lucifer sighs knowing that he'll get no answer even if he squeezed their empty brains. I'll just have to ask the angels maybe they know something.

Salt Liquor is quite genuinely possibly the best fic I will never write. It had THEMES. It had POLYAMORY. It had POLICE BRUTALITY vs UNIONS vs PROFESSIONAL POLITICAL PLAYERS/TOURIST-SCAMMERS, and all of the above were affiliated with SPEAKEASIES and MOBS.

Salt Liquor is/was a Girl Genius au set in Prohibition Era Atlantic City, New Jersey. OT3 endgame, Gil-centric, ensemble cast, outline of...19 chapters + epilogue? But realistically would've ended up more.

Agatha is the new-in-town farmgirl who is (fully known to her) the lost heiress to the local Romanian Mob (not really historical), here to get the old gang back together and establish herself as the new local power, starting with refurbishing and reopening The Castle, the old Heterodyne club and bar-now-speakeasy.

Tarvek is the slightly-less-new-in-town scion of the Irish Catholic family so deeply enmeshed in Tammany Hall (very much historical) that they may as well be its royalty, here to (per Martellus's plans) fail or (per his plans) succeed beyond anybody's expectations in setting himself up as the new local power, starting with newly opened hotel-casino (speakeasy down below) Stormbreak Hotel.

Gil is the son of the Chief of Police - though his mother is some sort of crime boss in Mexico and these days his twin sister smuggles liquor (and does some light piracy) with their former babysitter. (Klaus would hire Bang to escort them on the train to visit Zanta, when he was too busy to make the trip himself. Gil and Zeetha were accomplices in a lot of crime, growing up.)

At the start, Gil knows Tarvek is a crook and Tarvek knows Gil used to do crime, but neither of them know who Agatha is yet...though Tarvek figures it out much faster. The jägers are present, of course. The Muses are present as Tarvek's core staff of extremely competent, socially underprivileged women whom Tarvek has been hiring as he finds them since the age of like 12. There is an organ trafficking case which turns into a human trafficking case, the mastermind of which is (spoilers) Lucrezia. The climax involves chasing her and kidnapped!Klaus on boats in a rare New Jersey hurricane.

The writing style would've been inspired by hardboiled detective novels - with two amores fatales, obviously.

We have a reasonably detailed outline, about 1.5 chapters of written fic, a (discord? tumblr? facebook?) chat saved into a 119-page document, and 23 pages of "Extra Bits because I Give Up" that are mostly stray scenes of OT3 set after the end of hte fic, including, god bless our nerdy asses, the reaction to the stock market crash of 1929.

It's never gonna get written because I'm pretty sure neither of us wants to do the historical research required to make it really good, and neither of us can tolerate it not being really good.

Your eyes widen as you read that, and a bit more as you read the news. You didn’t know they had done something like this before. But how come Peppino was able to buy a casino after all this? Had he and Gustavo done something like this again?

Either way, you’re more confused than before, and even a little nervous…

1. How many works do you have on AO3?      I have 25 fics right now.

2. What’s your total AO3 words count?     I hadn’t actually counted it until now lol. The total is 197,120, which means I’m like a few thousand short of 200k. Not bad.

3. What fandoms do you write for?     Right now, I’m writing for Supercorp, but I’ve also published fics for BBC Sherlock, Castle, and Final Fantasy VII and VIII. I’ve written unpublished for Casino Royale, LOTR, The Mummy, and (in my youth) HP.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? I try to, and I always want to. Like, I read every comment with a smile in my heart, and each one makes my day. Unfortunately, I have terrible anxiety about it, and by the time I get over it, I feel like it’s way too late to reply, and I’m just being rude. Just know that if you’ve ever left any comment or tag or even a like on any of my fics, I love and appreciate you!

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Hmm, I don’t think I’ve COMPLETED a fic with an angsty ending. I have loads of angst in my fics, but not all of them end up angsty. I do have an open-ended SC fic that’s pretty angsty (The Cruelty of Illusion), and I wrote a very angsty one-shot for another fandom that was me using a character death to sort of parse out my grief over my mother’s death a bit (Real).

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Oddly enough, for someone who’s a slut for angst, my endings mostly end up being happy, or at least resolved. The schmaltziest ending I ever wrote I think was for the FFVII fandom, the first fic I ever wrote. It was on FF Net, and I have no idea what happened to it lol.

8. Do you get hate on fics? I got a bit of hate for one of my fics where I put Lena and James together, and some person seemed to take offense that they were together (but oddly enough they weren’t offended that Kara and Lex were actually married in this fic, which I think is more puke-worthy). Nope, they just hated on James, and they took my defense of him as me not being able to take criticism of my work. Oh well, you can’t win everybody, and if that kind of reader is what you get, I’d rather not.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I have dabbled in smut in several fics, yes. It’s not my forte, and most of the stuff in my fics is pretty vanilla, so the boring kind, I guess lol.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? Yes, yes, YESSSSSS! Crossovers and AUs are my jam!!! I literally cannot count how many crossovers I’ve done, and I’ve had some random ones. I’ve literally mashed BBC Sherlock, Inception, Elementary and Supergirl into an AU, with a few characters from other fandoms sprinkled in (Red II, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Vampire Knight, etc).

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not fics, but I’ve had gifs from a previous fandom stolen.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated before? I’ve had at least one fic translated into Russian (I think it might be 2, but I can’t remember what the other one is). They gave me the link, but it’s in Russian and I guess I never checked.

13. Have you ever cowritten a fic before? Oh, yes! I’ve cowritten 2 fics with a couple of friends for previous fandoms. One was for FFVII, and it was a Word doc we passed back and forth over e-mail, if you can believe it. Like this was back when I had a yahoo account (but I got locked out, and all of our exchanges got lost. A tragedy). The other one was actually for a couple of OCs that my friend and I made up as an offshoot from our BBC Sherlock fandom. There were 3 of us in the chat, but 2 of us did most of the writing. Neither fics are posted or complete.

14. What’s your all time favorite ship? Oh, that’s a tough one. I think Supercorp might win the top spot by a small margin. My number 2 ship might get a lot of hate and it’s problematic AF, but I still hold it dear to my heart. It got me through a lot of tough times.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? Oh, God, there’s way too many. Of my posted fics, I think the one I want to finish most is my Supercorp Frozen AU. Of my unposted fics, I think the one I want to finish is a Supercorp one based on a Jim Carey movie. Ooh, also my unabridged SC Theme Park AU. And my Matrix AU. Too many damn AUs.

16. What are your writing strengths? Making AUs, lol. I know because any piece of media I watch or read gets turned into an AU. Now, whether it should be turned into an AU is a different story. And, I don’t know, an expanding vocabulary, I guess.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? Actual writing lol. Finishing anything, ugh. Also comedic writing, I guess. That’s hard, I’m not funny.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I always like writing in the language that the characters are speaking. I feel like it adds a sense of authenticity to the conversation and makes it feel more organic. However, if it’s a real language spoken by real people, I always try to make sure that what I’m writing is accurate, contextual and respectful. Also, if it’s entire paragraphs, I tend to stick to English, because it’s more likely to have more translation errors with blocks of text.

19. First fandom you wrote for? Really wrote for: Casino Royale (teenage me had a crush on Eva Green). Posted: Final Fantasy VII

20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written? Oof, another hard one. I love all my fics, they’re my children. But if I had to...For Supercorp, my favorites would be the Horny Witch fic, and the Corpse Bride fic (under the crimson skies would make it, because I loved thinking up that fic, but unfortunately, I really did not enjoy writing it). For Adlock, my favorites are Her Morning Elegance, Beautiful Children, Dinner and a Bath (still the single biggest plot twist I’ve ever written lol), and A Midnight Spell in New Orleans (this one’s close to my heart cos I love NOLA)

Hello 2023! Now I'm back with more bullshit.

(Old works from 2022) Brave/Demon King AU! a pretty classic one so I have to customize the details a lot for my liking.

Still an easy conclusion, they fight and fall each other for later. but Nick decided it's just too good for him then left Edgey behind in their castle and no one found him again,

Until 100 years later. In casino near of old demon castle. So later might be Gambler/Casino manager instead (i guess??????)

State Of the WIPs

I am finally feeling better and figuring out how to fit creative things back into my life. Also, I think my shortness of breath is better enough that I can now record. Will be trying today and tomorrow! In the meantime, I have made major progress on a few things...my new years resolution involves writing and it's already paying off!

Art/Post-Production

- Ineffable Design - Recorded, needs cover art. I've started the watercolors. I don't like it so far, but I am practicing accepting my imperfection and just having fun. Will I finish this weekend? Maybe. Probably not though...

(Ineffable Design is a 4k mature first time with Crowley and Aziraphale from Good Omens.)

Recording

- Of Aquariums and Humans - Recording is about 40% done. This will be what I test my health/skills/setup on this weekend, as it will be my first time attempting it since my illness.

(Of Aquariums and Humans is the 36k sequel to Of Barnacles and Mermen. The text was published on AO3 in May, but I was too sick to podfic it until now.)

- Quiet Rebellions - I FINISHED EDITING THIS. PLEASE BE IMPRESSED. It's taken me about a year and a half to edit. Podficcing this one will be a challenge as the size is daunting, so I plan to release it in a serialized fashion on a regular schedule, like a podcast. I will finish the above podfic first and build up a huge backlog before I start posting, so it will be some time. I'm excited, though!

(Quiet Rebellions is a 180k dark/slavery AU fighting its way into happiness and found family.)

Writing

- Return - I felt so stressed about all the projects I have going relative to the spoons I had for my life in general, so I let this one step aside and focused solely on finishing the editing for Quiet Rebellions instead. Now that this is done, Return is my only writing priority! I'm excited to roll back into it. It's around 80% done so hopefully I can get some good energy for the climax and ending!

(Return is the sequel to Go East, a Howl's Moving Castle/Wolfstar AU.)

Plotting

Be Gay, Do Crime (Do Me) - Once I finish Return, I will be writing this. It will likely be around 60k as it's a HEIST which involves a complex storyline. (Remus and a team of awesome HP characters plot to steal from Black Crystal hotel and casino in Las Vegas. Remus is the face, aka the pretty one that distracts the powers that be from what is going on. Sirius is the powers that be.)
