do you fucking KNOW how HARD it is to get an actual unlabeled character in media just for people to COMPLETELY IGNORE that and headcanon their sexuality however they want to?

"nicest way possible" my ass, this is a canon unlabeled character out there, and even if "he is a fictional character after all" you should just get over the fact that he doesn't use any labels ???? headcanon-ing him as bisexual is just bs at this point (in which he has explicitly rejected the label) and honestly i feel like its really disrespectful to unlabeled people lol .

autumn is returning home 🍁🍃🍂 [a drabble + some thoughts ❤]

It’s September, and the leaves will soon be the same colour as my tucked-away wings. I’m walking home with a cardboard cup of coffee in each hand, trying to decide what we’ll look for at the bookstore tomorrow.

It’s surprising: I’m making plans for the future.

I’m letting myself think again.

I think I’ll try out baking. I want to put my hands somewhere that they don’t need to be gentle. I want to make something. I’ll know I did well when it’s gone too soon.

Is my life that different? It’s September, again, and I’m going home to Baz.

It's so hard to say everything you're thinking in 100 words! So! There's some meta thoughts about Simon, September, and seasonal affective disorder under the cut ❤

I’ve been looking forward to fall, this year, since March. (It almost doesn’t feel like it could actually be here, now, and, already. To think we’ve made it through most of the year, now.) Which is to say, when I woke up on September 1, I had a very quick turnaround between having the joking thought that Simon Snow has SAD during the warmer half of the year, before fully subscribing to that headcanon. I’ll pull some lines that really resonated with me over these past couple of days.

Simon’s always having a rough time, but he struggles especially in the summer. And who could blame him? His childhood summers were spent lonely, hungry, and neglected.

Autumn brings Simon to Watford, his home, for the first time. And it brings him home again, year after year. It isn’t until autumn that he pulls his mental list of things he loves about Watford back out and finally experiences gratitude again.

And, in WS, Baz tells us that dating Simon hasn't been just sitting together, holding hands and staring into the middle distance like he described at the end of CO. In fact, there was a good amount of kissing. Specifically, in September, before Simon becomes less and less comfortable allowing Baz to touch him throughout the spring:

After that, it’s not until the summer arrives (as other people celebrate its arrival!) that Simon stops going to his classes and doesn’t get back up off the couch:

And here in the WS summer, Simon, thinking about his wings, longs to be himself again, even as he can't figure out how:

But he didn't always feel that way about himself or his wings. Back in September, while moving in with Penny, a happy ending was possible. Wings and tail and all.

I imagine this drabble being placed in time in the September following AWTWB. At a time once the haze is beginning to clear, where Simon can finally feel safe in feeling love and joy again. While he’s returning home to Baz and returning home to himself.

It's September again, and I hope everyone here in the northern hemisphere who finds the summer hard is starting to return home to themselves, too 🧡

Our goal is to not only encourage the creation of trans-centric content, but also to promote trans creators themselves!

Cis creators are more than welcome to participate, though :)

Any and all kinds of fan creations (art, fanfiction, moodboards, headcanons / drabbles, etc) are allowed! No restrictions. Create whatever you want, however you want!

You’re free to create works with heavy themes, but please be considerate and ALWAYS add trigger and content warnings on the post itself and its tags! We won’t be reblogging such sensitive content without the proper warnings.

ALWAYS tag violence, blood, mature/explicit content, any and all forms of transphobia, and any other general triggers. If you write anything sexual and post it on tumblr, keep it under the cut. This event is supposed to be a safe space for everyone, especially minors, and we won't share any content that jeopardizes that.

We also won’t be accepting any kind of content that shares the character’s deadname or has scenes where someone openly deadnames them mentioning their deadname explicitly. If you wish to include deadnaming in your work, please refrain from mentioning the deadname itself, and tag it with the proper trigger / content warnings.

At the moment, Genderbending (making canon female characters trans males and vice versa) isn't allowed in this event. If you want to depict a trans woman character, pick a character who's actually a woman in the canon universe! That being said, you can make canon female characters nonbinary transmasc (but not male aligned), and canon male characters nonbinary transfeminine (but not female aligned). We will also not accept any works that erase canon rep. Canon sapphic / wlw characters have to still be sapphic / wlw, and same goes for achillean / mlm characters.

Today I discovered that at the age of 19, I am still scared when reading Nancy Drew mysteries alone. And that got me thinking of how Simon would totally take down a goblin and then do some shit like this.

Simon: Baz, can you come in here?

Baz: *running in* Snow, what is it? Goblin? Fairy? SMITH SMITH-RICHARDS!?

Simon: Nothing like that. I’m just reading this mystery and got kind of spooked.

Baz: *visibly relaxing* Oh … well, what is it called?

Simon: ‘The Mystery of the Old Clock.’ It’s a page turner.

I'm in love with the idea of middle aged Snowbaz. Seeing them reach a point where they're comfotable, settled down, and have had even more time to figure each other out.

Simon can sense when Baz needs blood so he warms some up while Baz is buried in a book, too busy to notice his own hunger.

Baz sees the way Simon's fingers drum against his legs when he gets anxious in public and he knows that holding Simon's hand will help calm him, but going for a hug will just make him more anxious.

Baz buys things for Simon and then acts like it's nothing when Simon finds them laying on the kitchen counter or the bed. They both know it isn't nothing. But Simon also knows Baz (still) gets embarrassed when he shows Simon how deeply he loves him sometimes. And Baz knows making a big deal out of fancy gifts can bring up old feelings of being undeserving in Simon snometimes.

Simon's a naturally messy person but sometimes, after Baz has had an awful week, or he finds a new place to kiss that drives Simon absolutely mad, he'll polish the silverware. Or scrub the shower. or wash and iron all of Baz's laundry. and Baz knows what it means when he notices his car's been vacuumed even if Simon didn't get the words "I love you" out last night.

They aren't perfect, and they definitely still have to communicate. But they know enough about each other that they don't have to ask for certain things anymore. I'm in love with the way long-time couples know how to move with each other like it's muscle memory. It's comforting to think a person you love so deeply can become so familiar that they're part of your routine and I want that for Simon and Baz.

Kaldur'ahm, Young Justice: hc as aroace, honestly, totally wasted chance. Totally looked like it would have made sense for him to stay single and cool.

Joey Tribbiani, Friends: hc as demiromantic pansexual, cos he really is down for physical stuff but doesn't get romantically involved easily.

Artemis, greek pantheon: hc, and honestly a lot of people do, as aroace, though the long war with people who still think she's a lesbian is still on and probably forever will. Guys, she had a group of all-women reeeeeeeeeally close friends, but that doesn't make her a lesbian

Plo Koon, Star Wars universe: hc him as ace and, though alloromantic, disinterested in any other love except for the storge he feels for the wolfpack

Agatha Wellbelove, Carry On: hc her as aro and maybe ace? We all know about how she felt for Simon and Baz and everyone and honestly? I makes sense

Newt, The Maze Runner: hc him as homorom ace, I think, there's really no explanation to it, rather than that I tend to hc mom friends as a-spec

The claiming period for the TRANSMAGES PROMPT FEST has officially started!!

Anyone can claim any prompts they want (yes, this includes cisgender people), and you can fill the prompts by any kind of fan creation: writing, drawing/painting, animating, recordings/podfics (with transcripts), whatever you want!
