New amateur actress omega reader joining the cast but when they are out and about paparazzi are always trying to get pictures of her bc everyone wants to know who she is and everything about her but she's actually shy and sensitive so the alphas of the cast always scent her, put their arms around her, and ward off the paparazzi and cameras bc all they want is to protect her. This ofc only spurs on rumors of "which of her new cast mates is Reader dating?"

Reader joining the cast is a pretty big thing. It's not just because she's a up and coming actresses, it's because she a omega. When she joins the cobra kai cast it's a big thing for everyone. Almost the whole cast is made up of alphas minus Mary and Hannah who are the only omegas on set. Reader being added makes them the only free omegas on the whole lot.

She is also the only omega on set that doesn't take supressents. Both Hannah and Mary take them for their own personal reasons. Reader doesn't like them, she's also very proud of being an omega even with all the side effects that come with it. That being said her scent is all over the place. Wherever Reader is, everyone knows it.

The whole cast takes to her very quickly as soon as they meet her. She is so sweet, soft-spoken, and just an all-around sweetheart. A few of the alphas get a little blushy with how cute she is. Her being shy also has them all on the “awe!” train. Of course shy omega isn't new but that doesn't stop it from being adorable. It's safe to say the whole cast has taken to being very protective of the shy omega the longer she's on set with them.

That's why she always has someone with her during events.

Reader isn't the biggest event fan, that's pretty clear. Red carpet even at along with just plain big events make her nervous for good reason. Reporters and phroghers are always all over the place. Ready to pounce at her from the moment she gets out of the car she's in.

That's why all of the alphas take turns accompanying her to said events.

“Jacob nooo!” Reader practically whined at the guy. Jacob was too busy trying to pump out his own scent to really care about the girls whining. Rubbing his scent all over her was more import in that moment.

“Come on I don't want you getting jumped as soon as we get out of the limo. You know how those paparazzi are. It's better that your covered in my scent, maybe it will help to throw them off and they won't try to attack you.”

After a good two or three minutes he felt comfortable enough to pull away from her. Now she was completely clocked in his nature scent. It would be hard to even get a whiff of her sweet scent. His own musky one did the trick with ease to cover her scent.

She huffs and slumps back into her seat, cheeks puffed out. Jacob just playfully rolled his eyes and chuckles.

When the limo stops in front of the walk away she is the first one out. The flashes of lights are almost blinding. Photographs line the walk way along with the wider carpet stage area. Among them are a group of interviewers. As soon as they caught sight of her they started to flock. Jacob was quick to exit the car as well. Side by side the two made their way up the main walk way and onto the carpet. Ever so slowly they walked along the carpet letting the cameras take their pictures. They stoped to do a pose or two, getting some together and some by themselves.

Everything was going well until one of the lone interviewers got away from the flock.

Some random guy stuck up under the ropes around the sides of the walkway, shoving his mic into Reader’s face. For a moment the omega was slightly stunned. Words caught in her throat as the alpha reporter popped her personal bubble. It was almost like she couldn’t speak. Her shyness taking over.

“Reader are you dating anyone from the cast?”

“It must be hard working on a set that has mostly alpha castmates, how does it feel being on of the only omegas on set?”

“You are covered in one of the alpha casts scent as we speak, is that your new alpha?”

On the outside Reader is only stunned but on the inside she’s freaking out. But it’s only a matter of seconds before her body is betraying her. Her scent is being pumped out like a leaking faucet. Having the random stranger all over her was messing with her. It didn’t help that the guy was an alpha. Pressing all over her making she want to run off. His scent was so off putting that it made her nose twitch in disgust. Trying to step back did nothing to get him away.

That’s when Jacob made his way between them. He pushed the guy away, physically snapping at him.

The two quickly walked away from the carpet and into the large venue. Jacob made sure to keep her close as they made their way inside. His nose was quick to pick up on their other castmates scents in the near by room. It was only a few minutes u til they found most of the other cobra kai cast sitting at a large table in the main event room. Most of them were already sitting down. Some stud up talking to other actors and actresses that littered the room.

It was as if the other had already smelled them coming because everyone started to look their way.

Maybe it was Jacob’s already irritated scent that had their heads turning, or maybe it was Readers panicked once that was seeping though Jacob’s cover up scent he had given her in the limo.

The rest of the night was spent with the alpha cast members surrounding the shy omega. Occasionally scenting the omega nonchalantly. Not caring if anyone saw them doing it though out the night.

ChaosBlue, my Bethy, host of @fanficmaverickpodcast...I wasn't sure I would do this one, as she's not all over Tumblr, but, well...I'd be remiss not to take a chance to talk about such a sweet friend!

I first met dear B after the episode she did with perverse_idyll. The encouragement to reach out about an episode sort of stuck with me. I was so impressed with the work on the Fanfic Maverick podcast, and it seemed super fun...What did I have to lose? So I drafted an email and then promptly hid from the internet for a while, because wow scary! My brain is quite mean and I was thinking such rudeness as "she's going to laugh at you. Like, who tf is this lady and why would anyone wanna talk to her??" I am very anxious and insecure, okay? And I live in fear of rejection.

Only...that didn't happen! She was perfectly sweet and excited and we got to planning! We had to schedule a ways out, which was fine. At least in the moment it was fine, but that much time gave me plenty of time to worry myself to death LOL. And when it came time to record, she was very patient and encouraging. We had all sortsa tech issues to sort out, and then my nerves to settle.

Thus was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Sometime before our interview, I believe...(maybe, my recollection of the timeline is a bit fuzzy)...okay, so at some point, I reached out after listening to another FFM episode to explode astrology nerdery all over her. To which she was very receptive! And if you know me, you know I love to talk! The first several times I reached out via email just to chat, I was so worried I was being a bother. We're well past that now! Now I text whatever randomness is on my mind, and if I'm very chatty I return to emails.

Astrology, crystals, numerology, tarot, philosophy, all manner of things! We talk about life, and history, and a shared enthusiasm of terribly human characters.

What you need to know about Bethy is...she is the GOAT, fr. (And not just because she's a Capricorn, though that certainly helps.) She is a KING. She is Daddy. She is badass and amazing. Super professional and personable on the podcast. So creative, and so much enthusiasm for life and for people. She has an endless well of curiosity and compassion.

We've talked a lot about my anxiety and how long and how hard I've fought through it. How much it took for me to reach out to her in the first place. And I'm glad I did. Not only was being on the podcast twice (so far!) a great experience, but more importantly it earned me an incredible friend who I am lucky to have. And it's comforting to know that...facing those fears and trying new things can bring you all sorts of blessings. The most important of which are friends.

Okay no time to cry, gotta leave RECS.

Daniel and his mother move to earth after the destruction of their planet. Love is an important part of their culture and his mother hopes that Daniel can find some earthling to fall in love with, dumping him out of the space ship to essentially hitchhike. He befriends a beetle, dog, earthling named Johnny and tries to understand what earth is like and untangle the mess of language that is English while occasionally something tries to talk to him through radio frequencies.

paranormal romance Lawrusso (comedy) (the karate kid era but prior to)

Daniel’s walking his bike home through a Newark January along the river when he spots a body on the shore. He runs down to go help whoever it is only to think it’s a dead body and then to see that from the waist down is a tail. He realizes the blonde mermaid is alive and goes through the tedious process of taking him home. He and his mother end up nursing the broken hearted merman back to health, who really just wants to cuddle him for warmth and sleep in the cold until he’s too numb to feel. (If you like the idea of Johnny being partial monster but want something somewhat darker (more horror-esq) I also wrote Snake Whisky where Johnny after TKK turns into a snake and finds out about Terry and Kreese’s plans to hurt Daniel and then slithers off to try and warn him but kind of forgets how to be human)

paranormal romance Lawrusso (the karate kid era but prior to)

Sid sends Johnny to Long Island for the summer to clean up an extended family members home after the owner passes, and while there the house seems to have a mind of it’s own and seems to be haunted by a rather curious and friendly seeming ghost who may not actually be fully a ghost. It’s actually really sweet.

romance fantasy (magic) Lawrusso (the karate kid era)

Based off a couple drabbles I did. After the first tournament Daniel can’t sleep and ends up at a shop during a storm where a man gives him a book of magic spells. He uses one to try and ensure Johnny leaves him alone by making a potion and spiking his drink with it. Instead he realizes he might’ve given Johnny a love potion because the guy is opening doors for him and being much nicer than before.

Johnny on the other hand, is a witch whose been ignoring his calling and after the tournament he goes home to the mansion that oozes evil because Sid is a literal demon and decides to use magic to determine what he should do with the rest of his life only to find out he’s a love witch.

I do have more paranormal meet-cutes Umibudo (Chozen/Johnny where Chozen is a merman who runs into Johnny and takes him home because mermaids fall in love easily) and Devil's Food (Cake) where Daniel is a crossroads demon that Johnny visits throughout his life. I also have alternative routes to RBF&GT. But outside of all that there’s two others and I can’t decide which one to go for because they’re both gifts that I adore. So apologies I might do both.

Johnny gets a new job as a handyman and much to his disappointment nanny for a rich house in the hills, only to learn that it’s Daniel’s home. After some hiccups he settles in, getting along with the kids and Daniel, but he’s hiding the fact he’s an omega. He’s taken a ton of medicine to ensure no one finds out because he’s deep deep in debt to Terry Silver and the only thing keeping him from being mistreated is the fact he doesn’t give off a scent or hasn’t “presented”. But who knows how long that will last.

A Feast for Fools

romantic drama (comedy?) with Johnny and Terry Silver (Cobra Kai era)

Terry Silver finds out about Johnny’s dojo almost immediately after it opens and his staff recommend he go under cover to figure out why and who brought Cobra Kai back from the dead. Terry poses as a yoga instructor and teaches classes at the dojo and gets to know Johnny and his students. The two end up being good influences on one another and helping each of them heal from the damage left by John Kreese.
