- [Nimona]:You should be questioning everything right now. The will of Gloreth, the Institute, the wall. What's it all really for? - [Ballister]: For protecting the realm. - [Nimona]: Oh, you mean from villains like you? Or monsters like me?

I totally get gendered petnames like dude, sis, bro, and whatever else, and I get why some people might be confused as to why some trans people might take issue with a petname you might think is neutral. However, I do want people to remember that trans people often have different relationships with those petnames because they're gendered, and they might be uncomfortable with those connotations. A trans woman who doesn't want you to call her "dude" is probably not doing it to anger or accuse you of anything, but she might just have a negative relationship with that word.
I get that it can be hard to change habits, but it is worth it to include trans people. If a trans person in your life asks you not to use certain words, I promise they aren't trying to fuck you over or make you feel like you're under attack. They are just expressing a boundary - one that cis people also express.

anyways it pisses me off when in house they present cameron as being this sweetheart angel pure of heart woman but she literally traps house into going on a date with her ????? like if it had been the other way around and house had been like i’m not giving you your job back unless you go out on a date with me ( which , yes , would never happen but just for the sake of argument ) we , the viewers would obviously be like oh idk about that but when she does the same thing and says “ oh i can do it because he’s my boss “ ?? like oh that’s not … and also we’re supposed to feel SORRY for her ? because house isn’t nice to her when he literally told her multiple times that he isn’t into her . anyways if it had been the other way around or if coleman was a man and house was a woman it would be blatantly obvious how super fucking creepy it is and they’re acting like it isn’t wtf

All those artists who had their art reposted on sjw cringe compilations and ridiculed on kiwifarms deserve compensation for that shit

i find it incredibly funny how both Sonic CD & The Murder Of Sonic The Hedgehog, two very important games regarding Amy lore (CD birthed this girl into existence + the whole presmise is “rescue Amy and stop Eggman from taking over Little Planet b4 it’s too late”, and TMOSTH is centered around Amy’s birthday party on a bullet train(?)) coincidentally land on LGBTQ+ visibility/appreciation days.
Like yeah, TMOSTH was birthed a day before April Fools cuz it’s a game for that occasion, but March 31st is ALSO Trans Visibility Day! And Sonic CD was birthed on September 23, which is Celebrate Bisexuality Day.
But what does all of this mean exactly? Uhhhh idk just something fun i wanted to point out. Also, i can totally see Amy liking Sonic but also liking girls too. They’re both pretty so she doesn’t really mind 💕

i rly do think there is a line between being critical of saudi, their involvement in football, where all the money is coming from, the millions of human rights violations that the government perpetuates and covers up via sportwashing … and then just straight up dunking on football cultures outside of europe (specifically england/germany/italy) and acting like the fans there are inferior in some way (even if they are smaller in number that does not mean that the football being played is worth any less) and implying consciously or subconsciously that the footballers who grew up in the system there don’t deserve to play football. i’ll be honest, way too many ppl cross the line.

is it not fucking bonkers to anyone else that for a while on this website asexuality was like a silly cringe punchline even to people who were ostensibly cool about aspec people as a whole. like even though i think we've abandoned it for the most part, i don't know that the dust has really ever settled. the idea of calling this tendency aphobia even in retrospect feels frivolous and childish to me because that's how talking about aphobia was seen for a very long time even though that is DEFINITIONALLY what that is.

If I could do one thing in life, it would be to be a streamer, real masc with the occasional bit of mild misogyny and homophobia, and maybe a slur or two, only to be called out, change my ways and slowly be educated on women and queer people, then slowly start embracing gender non conformity and over the next few years becoming more and more comfortable dressing femininly (all while amassing an evergrowing following), before dropping off the face of the planet for a few months, then once everyone has slowly started to think im not coming back I drop a tweet "Hey guys, I've been doing a bit of soul searching, and recently had a surgery, and I think I'm ready to tell my story now, streaming soon." I start the stream, baggy hoodie and androgynous haircut. Everyone is wondering what's going to happen. I recount my life, emphasising on the past few years and how I've grown and changed and come into my own, and now im ready to share, that I am trans. Cheers flood the chat, money exchanges hands presumably, love and support flow everywhere. Wait, I say, that's not the only surprise. I turn the camera off, rustling can be heard and when the camera turns back on there I am, shirtless, top surgery scars on display for all. Not only am I trans, I say, but I have been all along!

the stuff about feminism being dead is truly no exaggeration. the program im in through my college matches participants to an organization committed to social change in some capacity (racial justice, climate activism etc). they do a lengthy matching process and all throughout it ive been like "women's rights is what i care about. preventing ipv, restoring and expanding abortion access, economic mobility for women etc. this is what i care about and what i want to work on" . ive talked non-stop about feminism and feminism only. what email do i get today? "hey! based on your interests we have two options for you [lgbtq org] and [climate justice org]" what the fuck are you on about?? ive never mentioned either of those things?? i hate leftists. they think because of intersectionality™️ feminism is interchangeable with other issues (not how intersectionality works). women just arent allowed to care about women. should i kill everyone?

Arcsys having solky fanpages on their old guilty gear website doesn't surprise me imo. the artist that drew the most recent recap manga on their current website used to draw solky art back in the day.
GOD. I can't believe Sol/Ky was like a sneeze away from just being canon at one point. This is hilarious and explains so much about how they're often depicted in official art even here in 2023

Me in 2016: You know, saying things like "trans rights are human rights" doesn't necessarily mean that person is safe around trans people. In fact, sometimes people still have unchecked bias against trans people, and that can be clouded by them saying that trans rights are human rights. It can prevent them from fully looking into their own preconceptions about cissexism and trans people.
Me in 2023: Oh, thank gd this person said "trans rights are human rights," I was worried they also abhorred trans people
