Sidon reacting to the first time Link has a real bad nightmare at the Domain?

If it's Link's FIRST nightmare at Zora's Domain that Sidon WITNESSES, it would be during the BOTW years, before Link and Sidon were to get together romantically.

Link in BOTW years had nightly nightmares, many consisting of both the horrors of the present and the past. They're vivid and confusing, as he's being presented with terrors he doesn't quite understand, as his memory isn't quite together. He'll wake up crying and shaking, but he'll try to move past it almost immediately, by distracting himself with exploration.

After several visits to Zora's Domain, and Link using the inn, Sidon insisted Link to sleep in a guest bed he had made in his own quarters. At this point, Sidon believed Link leaving the inn during the night was due to discomfort, so he wanted to make his dearest friend's stay as comfortable and restful as possible! (Also, he totally wanted to have a sleepover with his best friend.) Link was hesitant at first, but with Sidon's overly enthusiastic insistence, Link accepted.

Sidon found it difficult to fall asleep that night. Even though Link was across his quarters all cuddled up in the comfiest bed a royal Zora could request, he kept asking if all was well, and Link kept insisting it was. So, after many of the same questions being met with the same answer, Sidon finally sunk into the water of his pool and drifted to sleep. Only to be awoken in the night by Link, as Link was mumbling in his sleep. But it wasn't just usual sleep mumbling, he sounded distressed.

Sidon, hearing these distressed noises, quickly jumped out of his pool, and went to his dearest friend, unsure of what to do. Before he could reach out, Link sat up in the bed, out of breath with tears running down his face. Though, being met with the sight of Sidon hovering over him gave Link an extra fright. For a moment, Link sat there in shock looking at Sidon, as he never wanted to be seen like this, seen being weak and frightened. Sidon, who had never seen the hero crying before, felt his own level of shock, but it immediately passed, as all that mattered was Link's comfort.

Within a moment of waking from the nightmare, Link was pulled into a hug. He became used to his friend's embraces, but this one felt different. It felt so comforting, and Link melted into it. He reached out and returned the tight embrace while letting the tears continue to fall. Sidon saw Link in such a weak state, but he didn't look at Link any lesser, he looked at him in worry, and he made him feel safe. Feel cared for. It was the first time since Link awoke that he felt able to decompress his fears. To open up about his nightmares. To be the one getting saved.

The embrace seemed to last for hours. Neither of the two let go until Link started to laugh again. But that only occurred after the two spoke at length of the nightmare. Sidon, comforting his friend, rambled about the years of nightmares he had following Mipha's passing, and that the only thing to help was his father's embrace. Link deserved someone to embrace him too, and to tell him everything is alright. That he is awake, that someone is there for him. Link appreciated it, and he felt lucky to have someone like Sidon care for him so deeply. That Link cared deeply for him too.

And once Link realized this care for Sidon was growing more the longer they held each other, Link found himself growing confused and worried about something... different. But Link was too tired to really put much thought into it.

Though, when Link awoke in the late morning with Sidon snoring beside him in the bed, Link revisited the thought of care from the night before. A blush ran across his face. Link had something new to worry about. Something he couldn't just run away from when he woke up.

the fact that their relationship is so painfully underrated when it's possibly one of the most important relationships in the entire movie series.

they were the first two to enter into Narnia, and from the moment they find themselves there, they become representations of the two sides, Lucy as Aslan's, and Edmund as Jadis'. they grow from being the furthest apart of the four to being the closest, Lucy bringing Edmund back to the light and him being able to rely on his sister. They're the most physically affectionate duo (after Peter and Lucy), and in "Voyage of the Dawn Treader", they're basically able to read each other's minds and trust in each other wholeheartedly.

and don't even get me started on the fact that Lucy is so connected to Edmund's domain, and Edmund is just as connected to Lucy's domain, so much so that during their time as rulers, unless someone knew their full titles, they probably got the domains mixed up.

they share everything with each other, and know each other's worst fear and their nightmares, and now I'm thinking about the fact that, when the train started to derail, Edmund and Lucy just looked at each other, and he immediately pulled her into his arms, hugging her as tightly as he possibly could, and Peter grabbed the two of them and held them close, because they knew what was about to happen, they knew things were going wrong, so all they can do is just hold each other and wait for the inevitable.
