And even though it's not a huge investment of time, it does take time to layout an Insta photo with writing, staged background, good lighting, text, hashtags, etc .. and I couldn't believe a CEO wife would do all that for a "friend".Then, I noticed how both her and Delfina used the exact same font, what a coincidence! And the writing sounded like it was the same person. And the lemons are so Meghan.But then I noticed in Delfina's post saying "I love your jam", it is a very pasty white man's hand holding the jam jar. A ginger's hand, not Nacho, with a male wedding band that looks exactly like Harry's. Then I thought, the hands on Tracy's photo look more like the hands of someone Doria's age. And the label was probably coming off because it wasn't glued on, it was double-sided tape so she could put two different labels on one jar of jam. Call me crazy, but I think these photos were taken by, styled by and written by Meghan using Harry+Doria as hand models, and then she just sent Delfina + Tracy the pics ready to post. That is why no other celeb is posting their gift. There is no jam. There are no 50 bottles or 50 friends. Not even two. There was one bottle with two labels. Invisijam. Invisikids, lol. The medium is the message

With a Droughtlander even more dry than we were used to, we still manage to get back to some inglorious basics. With even more drama and tattle - oh! - on the menu, I suppose this time it was my brain that refused somehow to process further details. And blissfully prompted me to a five-hour totally unplanned siesta: now my circadian rhythm is completely upside down - don't care.

In a nutshell: in these strange lands, no news is never good news, something I find extraordinary, to say the least. And if we have no news, we're making them, aren't we?

Digitalization and the omnipresence of Internet in our lives gave us a tremendous tool, readily available at the end of our fingertips. All it takes is a subscription and we're all turning, as by magic, into potential news outlets. As Spiderman once taught us, 'with great power comes great responsibility'. Something that should make us think twice. It doesn't always work. That is a shame.

That a very basic Internet basement troll suddenly proclaims and promotes herself as a celeb journo of sorts should be - and, thankfully, isn't - of no consequence to the world's balance. The fact that the crowd she attracts seems to live suspended to her every pronunciamiento is still as new and as mind-bogglingly pathetic to me as it was the very first time I saw it in print. With bias galore (I am being merciful, here) and no editorial policy whatsoever, other than me, me, me: look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair, she somehow managed to maintain, for a very long time, a relevant presence. Ozymandias she ain't, though. Her repertoire is very limited, yet perfectly calibrated to a thirsty, easily entertained and uneducated mob.

That a compact group of desperate housewives suddenly found a daily interest in bashing every breath and every move of a (let's be fair) lesser known male celeb is, yet again, a thing of wonder. This time, it's all about camaraderie and endless fun, without giving a hoot about consequences. 'We keep it to ourselves'. I am rolling my eyes very hard at you, here: no, you don't, while knowing perfectly well it is taken into account by someone, somewhere. All you want is to find power in numbers, and when you fail to do so, you double down on vulgarity and silliness.

That an arrogant dimwit walks down the pixelated avenidas of these lands, asking the same question over and over and over again, simply makes me laugh and ask her (over and over and over again) in return: and you're still as stupid today as yesterday, right? But compared to the above, this is light (and poor) entertainment.

By now, I took the whole grand tour and sometimes I wonder what the hell I am doing here and why I am still around. In my world, such people exist (pretending the contrary would be a pious lie), but they come in more sophisticated and articulate varieties. These? Pfff, seriously? Amateur league.

If this was only about mathematically determining, with infinitesimal accuracy, if Desi loves Lucy and more, this whole hullaballoo would have been over for a long while, once the people here made up their minds one way or another. I know that. You know that. TPTB know that. Desi knows that, bless his heart. Lucy knows that (yes, even remote, dignified Lucy). With the talk of the town over, our virtual drones would patrol a consensual landscape of fanfic and biblical exegesis of Herself's voluminous (some would add cumbersome, oh the blasphemy!) body of work, with the gifted, very gifted sketch and the docile distribution of press releases thrown in the mix for good measure.

It's more than that and you all know it. As for me, I am here to bring some sanity, a sprinkle of empathy and that different angle this place missed.

Count on that. I am not going anywhere. Let me be the fly in your ointment. But be assured: never without good reason.

★ Hello, I’m Gee and I’m currently looking for new roleplay partners. I’m 28 years old, I reside in Australia, and I’ve been roleplaying in various forms for over a decade now. I’m searching for new partners and plots at the moment so if you are interested in plotting, please feel free to either like this post or send me a direct message.

If you are interested in writing together and you don't already have a guidelines/rules post on your page (which is totally fine as I know that not everyone has a dedicated roleplay page), please send me some information about yourself as a roleplayer as well, so that we can see if we're compatible (e.g. your activity levels, any kinks/limits/triggers, average reply lengths, whether you use celeb fcs or a different type of fc etc.)

Before reaching out, please read the below to make sure that we’re compatible:

♥ 21 + please! Even if we aren’t writing smut, most plots will involve mature themes so please, no minors.

♥ I write exclusively on Discord these days, however use Tumblr for initially finding a partner and making sure we’re compatible before moving things across to Discord.

♥ I’m currently only doing original character roleplaying as opposed to writing within any specific fandoms. I’m flexible in terms of pairings (mxm, mxf, nonbinary pairings), although mxm ships will always have a special place in my heart! I am happy to play any gender but that said, I don’t enjoy being used just to play male characters in mxf ships so please keep that in mind before reaching out.

♥ I’m currently only looking for partners for the wanted plots on my page, however I’m super flexible in terms of plotting out the specific details and making sure that it’s something we’re both passionate about as this definitely isn’t a dictatorship. I particularly love slice of life, angst, and celebrity plots. I enjoy writing smut and mature themes but I love to make sure that each roleplay is also quite plot heavy and that we’re all getting the opportunity to develop our characters! I also love talking ooc, ploting, sharing headcanons and muse posts so that we can build an ooc friendship as well.

♥ I have a face claim directory on my blog so if there’s a particular face claim that really jumps out at you, please let me know! Each of the face claims on that directory have original characters that I've developed and pre-existing bios so some face claims are better suited to particular plots but that said, I am flexible in terms of changing the characteristics of my original characters to better suit plots if needed.

♥ Communication is key! I know that real life can get hectic sometimes. I personally work full-time and study part-time, however do consider myself a relatively active partner and I'm looking for active partners. Whilst I'm not expecting daily replies, I am definitely looking for partners that can manage a few replies per week (and although there is no pressure to match the length of my replies, I do please request a minimum of one paragraph with each reply; otherwise I can struggle to keep my muse). That said, it you aren't feeling a particular plot anymore or if things are happening in your real life that will delay replies, please just flick me a message - I promise that I'm not going to be upset! If I haven't received any in character or ooc for extended periods of time, that does impact my muse and it can come across as a lack of commitment/interest on the other person's part. I reserve the right to leave and/or delete servers if that is the case.

I am about to say something that will probably put a giant fucking target above my head, but against all good reason - I fucking hate this whole 'gaylor' trend.

let's get the facts out right now: 1. I am a non-binary dyke, in case anyone wants to play the queerphobia card 2. I've been a fan of taylor since fearless first came out when I was 11 (before some of you had probably even reached double digits) and 3. yes, this is inspired by the recent ny times article.

honestly I'm usually too much of an old man to be interested in a lot of celebrity news, even for artists I like, so I generally stay clear, but this came through my morning news feed via, bizarrely, ctv (fucking ctv thought this was NEWSWORTHY enough to put on their site which is bonkers, and if you're not canadian, ctv is a nationwide news broadcaster). and it made me livid - because this has now far beyond stretched the line of acceptable.

fucking ny times. this would be perfectly expected for rags like daily soap dish or enquirer or some other bullshit circus, where they spend all their damn days crafting celebrity stories of who's secretly pregnant and who's getting an underground divorce. ny times, in case they fucking forgot, do still have some sort of legitimacy to their name, but I guess they decided they'd run out of enough stories to now outsource to conspiracy theory level fans who's parasocial relationships with their favourite celebrity reaches deity levels. dear ny times, there is actual news still happening in the world in case you're out of ideas.

putting aside this bizarre so called attempt at 'journalism', onto the second point - which is that this. is. gross!! I've had issues with the whole 'gaylor' thing since the start. we, as a fanbase, have seen taylor ripped apart and broken down by this intrusive and harmful celeb culture that analyzes her every move for who she might be seeing, who's she interested in, which male friend could be a potential partner, etc etc, over and over, and how it's been both damaging to her and her love life as she's said. fans have even criticized the media for it and said to leave taylor alone! but now, all of a sudden, just bc you're a fan or bc you're queer or both, it's okay??? it fucking boggles my mind when so-called 'gaylor' fans gush about her and her work, always at her defense and say they care about her, and then do this 180 where they partake in a super invasive thing at her expense and don't even blink an eye??? making your own guesses by yourself is one thing, but creating a whole plot around the fact of taylor secretly being gay and pushing her to come out is a whole other ballroom of nuts.

let's get this out onto the table - she hates this. she doesn't like that you guys do this. she's already stated so and you all keep doing it. just because you're replacing the male character with a female one doesn't mean shit when you're doing the same harmful activity, just switching pronouns. you're not subverting anything, in case any of you need to be told. as a queer fan, this is embarrassing. it is such a gross over-stepping of someone's private life, and now that the goddamn ny times have posted it about it, makes the behavior even more legitimized!! while nothing excuses homophobia, if taylor eventually starts distancing herself from anything and all things queer and starts pushing back, I don't want to see any fucking one of you crying bc it'd be your own damn fault.

thirdly, even if, even if, taylor was gay - it's none of our fucking business!!! it's like all you up and completely blanked out what it was like to be closeted. if you're staying closeted, it's because you're not ready to come out!!! you don't want to or it's not a good time for you or whatever there doesn't need to be any reason for why someone doesn't want to say they're gay!!! it's hard enough trying to make that choice, and then you have the rest of the whole world posting ''''articles'''' about your sexuality, putting a million pairs of eyes on you - fuck, that'd send me back ten more layers into the closet if it happened to me! it's super rude not only to discuss someone's sexuality like it's the weather over brunch, but even worse to demand they say something about it! this is queer etiquette 101 people - you don't run around gossiping about someone's sexuality bc whatever that person decides they doesn't need your fucking input!!

basically if I could spray you all with a spray bottle I fucking would right now - nobody needs your input on their sexuality, celebrity or non! all this does is perpetrate harmful celebrity gossip that just hurts the artist you claim to love so much. taylor is a real person with a real life, she's not a storybook character to speculate over! please, I am begging you, stop this! go outside! touch grass!!

and at the risking of being meme-ified, leave taylor alone!

Fandoms respond to the negative tinhat/hater types like you because they don’t want your toxicity infecting everything. Do you really think Tom reads your blogs? Aren’t you embarrassed to think about him actually doing that? He was linked to so many different women after he broke up with Jenna yet had a lot of male 'close friends' and 'roomates.' He's out here massaging half naked men on the beach and the Daily Mail is pairing him up with Lily James and Gemma Chan.

I am not saying Paul is nor believe in speculations about anything, but we really need to get over the weird presumptions about people's sexuality and personal life. I have no idea where I am going with this, hope i made some points relevant to something.

right, this has nothing to do with paul's sexuality (or anyone else's for that matter), but that's heteronormativity for you -- everyone is assumed straight until they explicitly say otherwise. a man & a woman celeb could literally stand 6 feet away from one another not talking & tabloids would still write an 'exclusive' article on how they are getting serious & were seen making googly eyes at one another or some shit like that; while two men or two women could literally have no concept of personal space & talk about 'falling in love' on set, etc & people would call it a bromance or say they are 'gal pals'. & this is not me inviting the tabloids to start typing up articles about andrew & paul (or anyone else in a similar situation/dynamic) & how they possibly could be dating or anything along those lines. i just find the whole thing ridiculous, i think tabloids should just stop writing speculative/made up articles about celebs & their dating life, like who even cares (& that's a dumb question because i know some people do lmao)? but i know they will not stop, because then what would they have to write about lol, because tabloids run on gossip/made up stories & if those stories are about relationships even better.

Filled the hole in my head with prescriptive medication, and I forgot how to cry, who am I, who am I to complain.

FULL BIO HERE.

BACKGROUND SNIPPETS. (tw: emotional abuse, depression, substance abuse, death mentions)

Second child to Harold and Meredith Donovan; was always pushed to follow in his father's footsteps, with an idealization (on Harold's part) for him to inspire to gain a career within law enforcement.

If Nate could have chosen his own path in life, he would have succeeded the title of aerospace engineer, being that he always had a fascination of building/fixing things, combining that with his love for space his dream was to work for NASA. To be able to say I built that was always a teenage goal, one that was quickly stamped out by his emotionally abusive alcoholic father.

He dove into the educational path set out for him in fear of disappointing his father, becoming depressed during his late teens that carried on into his twenties, enrolling in the police academy and it was there he gained an injury that (fortunately on reflection) had him incapable of performing his daily tasks. Something that spiralled into an identity crisis, kick starting his drop out from the police force and awakening full vocal disapproval from Harold, he also became reliant on OxyContin at this time.

At 23 he joined the Sons of Silence as a prospect, with @colemonroe giving him the push he needed to do so, in turn he learned the true meaning of family. His loyalty to the Sons knew no bounds, even despite Nate constantly pushing through everyday on softer drugs.

Found himself diving deep into an intense toxic love with @gabyharrisonx when he was 24. They were equally as good for each other as they were bad. This relationship was pivotal to Nate in the sense of him choosing to remain on the single side of life once they broke up after years of dating.

A few years later he turned to harder drugs (with Gaby) and it wasn't until his sister, @logandonovan found him unresponsive that she called 911, kick starting Nate's journey to sobriety with Cole's forced help (a sobriety he became lenient with, in terms of limiting himself to 2 beers if he wanted so).

When he was 28 his mother died in a car accident, days before he had a disagreement with her and the last thing he ever said to his mom was "No", something he regrets and cannot move on from.

A year after his mom died he grew closer to @oliviaxsinclair and while their flirty situationship didn't lead to much, it ended with Olivia becoming pregnant, information of who the father was, had been kept from Nate, up until Mia (his daughter) recently turned 8 that he found out the truth.

Four years ago Nate was named Vice President of SoS by Cole Monroe, that same year also taking over ownership of The Raven from an overly handsy male by brute force (2020).

In 2023 his sister, Cassie Donovan, died and Nate began to struggle with the mental toll of her loss, blaming himself with the burden of not doing enough to help her with her own substance abuse issues. He relapsed and started leaning onto the pills he was taking and finding comfort in the form of alcohol.

2024, Nate broke off his relationship with Alara before he hit rock bottom, since trying to pick himself back up from the ground his aim is to keep to his sobriety and have no leniencies. Nate is trying to focus on himself, find himself, and remain clear headed for not just his daughter and sisters, but his MC family too.

HEADCANONS.

Has a one-eyed silver Maine Coon called Chip. Nate ensured the life of this cat was saved and has had and adored Chip for four years. He would literal die for this cat. His sister, Logan, got him an orange cat called Cheddar for Christmas '23.

Avid boxer, as well as gym-goer. These activities helps him not only to stay fit, but he finds they help him mentally.

His first celeb crush in his teens was Sharon Stone.

He was a massively into Pokémon when he was younger.

His mom used to called him Nathan, as well as her "little monkey", a nod to that is the cute monkey tattoo he has on his (right) inner wrist. Adding to this he has a full tattoo sleeve (right arm), as well as the Sons reaper on his back. Also has an Aquarius constellation tattoo on his (right) inner wrist as a nod to Gaby (his first personal tattoo).

I think some people here are so burnt out at this point from Timdayas and all the drama that comes with Timmy and Z that we don’t want to know about the man altogether. No hate or anything. I for one never really cared from him honestly. But for a year now it’s just shoved down our throats to either know about his life or his friendship with Z or the need to hype him. I think some people are just neutral. There are plenty Timmy blogs that people can go to why is it brought up here almost daily

Well, I don't think the man should be punished just because of his fans. I don't think ANY celeb should be hated or punished just because they have some crazy stans lol. 😅🤣 They can't help who they attract. And the more popular/famous you are, the more likelihood there will be some "weirdos" in your fandom. Just saying... 👀

Feel free to like (or dislike) whoever you wish lol, I'm just saying that if that's the only reason why you don't like him, then he can't really help that?

With that said, I know Timdaya fans and Antis were trying to shove "Timdaya" down our throats late last year, but I think that was mainly during Dune press. I think they got their hopes up for something major and got disappointed lol. 😅

Other than that, I don't really see anyone shoving him down our throats. But then again, I don't really go on various outlets or twitter like that.

Timmy is one of the most popular young male actors in his age bracket, so of course he's going to be talked about...even across fandoms. JMHO🤷

I was just watching strictly and I was wondering- how would you see kanthony in strictly? Both profs? One of them being the Prof and the other being paired up with them (and if that who's the prof). Intrigued by what you would think (if you're into that ofc)

❤️ What a lovely ask, thank you! I apologise for taking a second to reply to it - I was writing when I wasn't doing life admin and working. (I'm also jumping here and say I'm very very sorry for writing this massive response you probably weren't asking for - I had a lot of fun imagining this)

I have to admit that I'm not a massive Strictly person, so I haven't seen too much of it, but I'm familiar with the format. I've seen other countries' versions of Strictly a bit more than Strictly itself, weirdly.

If I wrote a Strictly AU for Kathony, to me, it would make sense to have Anthony as the celeb and Kate being the professional dancer. Kate would be both classically trained in ballet and contemporary dance but really found that she excelled (and loved) ballroom (I've only got a cursory knowledge of dance styles). Unfortunately, her previous partner Tom Dorset (you know I gotta include my man Dorset in a Kathony fic, why do I love this almost background character?) got an injury and Kate grew very disillusioned with the professional dancing scene, and especially the prospect of not dancing with Dorset.

However, because she has spent the past few years focusing on her dancing career and her studies at uni got interrupted by the death of her father years prior, Kate really starts to worry about how to make ends meet. She could maybe do some temp jobs and there's the supermarket around the corner that might be looking for staff, but with the daily expenses rising (Brexit and cost of living crisis and almost 20 years of austerity woohooo!), she's really not sure how she's going to make ends meet. Then Edwina points out that the BBC are looking for new professionals to join Strictly and Kate has been approached a few times about whether she would be interested, but Kate had long ago decided it's not her thing. The last thing she wants to do is be in the tabloids and be accused of falling the so-called Strictly Curse. It was never going to happen. Ever.

Then Kate starts panicking about the long-term viability of paying her bills, so she phones her contact just to make some casual enquiries, only to hear what the salary would be. Under other circumstances, Kate might have more pride about the whole situation but she agrees to join the new cast of professionals then and there. It's cutting it fine to the announcement but actually another of their professionals pulled out last minute (Siena) and so they had an opening, and actually, the contact thinks that they might have the perfect candidate to dance with Kate.

Kate at this point would be willing to dance with a potato if it meant that she got paid, so she doesn't really pay attention.

Anthony, on the other hand, first got his start in show biz doing some presenting gigs first at local news programmes, then children's programming while he was going to drama school part-time and then he pivoted to acting once he finished drama school. He had a few small guest spots on your Christmas costume dramas and he tries not to get his low-key type casting of ambitious man who ultimately does the wrong thing for selfish reasons get to him. As much as he tries to think that it isn't personal, the typecasting just seems a little bit too specific. Then he got his big break playing the supporting character to the main male lead in television show 'loosely' 'inspired' by Love Island. He doesn't have top billing, but he's a fan favourite. Then, after a disastrous stint attending the Baftas to present an award, a video goes viral of an uncharacteristically shitfaced Anthony embarrassing himself in front of the majority of his industry while making out with anyone who was nearby. His agent nearly quits in the aftermath of it all and in an attempt to change the narrative around his public persona, he agrees what many a disgraced public figure has done before - agree to go on Strictly.

For a hot second, it looks like an old ex-girlfriend of his, Siena, was gonna be his dancing partner, which would be a unique form of torture, but she pulls out at the last minute and gets replaced by he doesn't quite know who yet. He tries to get some clarity on the situation, until he finds out that they've finally found his dancing partner. Someone named Kate Sharma, who apparently was an up and coming star on the ballroom circuit.

Anthony had of course unearthed a few youtube videos of her dancing career, including a video or two from her uni days where she was dancing more contemporary stuff with friends, and he is actually really excited about being paired up with Kate. He doesn't know dancing per say, but he can tell that Kate has talent. She has that it factor that of course needed to accompany hard training, but she is able to convey so much with her movements and has enough charisma to spare, even by industry standards. Plus, it doesn't hurt that she's quite possibly one of the most beautiful women he has ever seen.

Unfortunately, however, their first meeting does not go according to plan. In fact, Anthony is willing to admit it actually goes disastrously wrong. Kate overhears him saying the wrong thing as the cameras are getting set up and while she is pleasant in front of the cameras, he can tell by the glint in her eye that she hates his guts. Which was fine. It was fine. They would only have to do this for a few weeks and Anthony can be cordial.

What neither of them know, is that the Strictly curse has other ideas...

That's basically how I would sort of do a Strictly AU. Don't know if it would be of interest etc but something like that would be my take on it. And I would probably find some way of inadvertently adding 5963 million layers of angst on top of this enemies-to-lovers set up.

People like to look at Kaia and not Austin? He was one of the most clickbait people during awards seasons, because he makes people click on articles. Stop making things up. I know you think you’re an expert, but you’re not. Kaia’s 10,000 matcha runs are not run by daily mail every time. Her doing a photoshoot was because obviously it’s more interesting. If Austin were papped doing a photoshoot, it would probably get picked up.

7-8/10 times the matcha runs and walks and leaving/going to the gym are run though LOL, even if not by daily mail and just somewhere like star style or celeb mafia (both websites that austin isn’t even categorized on if you rlly wanna go there) and yes, objectively a pretty young girl and model that people (cough: men. sometimes creepy men.) think is hot is going to garner a lot of clicks in a way that articles abt any person of the male gender oftentimes won’t. daily mail knows this and chooses to buy her photos. if you don’t like it take it up with them.

You must be joking, right?

First of all, that daily beast article is nothing but someone's personal opinion who seems to forget that thirst traps exist for a female audience as well and that people can't really queerbait because why the hell should the folks on the internet need for everyone to label themselves because otherwise there is no way to exist in 2022? I feel bad for those who are experimenting or figuring out their sexuality because they might be accused of queerbait. This is the world in which we are living. And I'm generally speaking here, not demonstrate or imply that Puth is doing exactly that. Can we just let people live? Also, it's funny how these demands are basically reinforcing gender stereotypes, particularly gender presentations cause only those who look ''gay'' or ‘’feminine’’ enough can be gay and so on. This mindset is the opposite of progressiveness.

As to the music video, there is no queerbaiting there, jesus fuck. And let me tell you, even if the song had been a really obvious love declaration or Puth clearly thirsting after Jungkook, licking his abs, do you think this might be a problem for Hybe or Jungkook himself? I think K-Pop says otherwise. Just yesterday I wrote about a queer performance that Jungkook participated in. Not to mention that how can Jungkook be considered as being part of a queerbaiting mv that could ''affect'' him if to this day, the man has not been publicly in a relationship with someone of any gender? He literally cannot be accused of queerbating if we don't even know if the man is queer or straight? And we're not even entitled to know that. And once again, this implies that even Asian men must be regarded through a Western queer identity standard in every discussion.

I don't know what your intentions were anon and if you agree with this, but it's just really dumb and it's so unfortunate that conversations like these are still taking place from this perspective.
