I want to see more portrayals of raw nonhumanity.

I want us to talk about ALL aspects of nonhumanity. we can talk about wanting to play fight, to chase prey, to long for missing extremities, but we should also be talking about wanting to roll in filth, wanting to mark your territory, urges to eat your young, and everything else that's "gross" even if it’s uncomfortable. Nonhumanity is weird and gross, it makes you want to do things that humans don't do. We don't exist to be palatable images of "human who identifies as an animal (but only in the cute ways).”

There is a unintentionally upheld standard that you have to make an image out of your identity, it HAS to be pretty and digestible for other people, your nonhumanity MUST to be organized and palatable. it can be "edgy" but it can't be too weird otherwise you're too weird. Why bind your existence to an idea of normalcy? Why stifle yourself in order to conform to the standards of a world that will never accept you? Why strive to be accepted by those that will never truly listen to you?

You are more than aesthetic photos and gear and silly posts!!! You are full of depth, you are a grotesque experience and you are made of blood and bones and guts and thoughts and instincts, and all of that should be treated with as much weight as it can be! You are allowed to be ��Off.”

Interrogate your own discomfort around your identity, let yourself be okay with the things that are uncomfortable!!! You should relish in your own nonhumanity, you should wholeheartedly project the nasty and weird and angry parts of existence as an animal, they are just as real and as tangible and beautiful as your collars or your masks or your tails or anything else you hold dear. yeesh!

the gorgug-porter conversation is interesting to me because like. yea for the overwhelming majority of the conversation porter’s being shitty & trying to fit gorgug into a box that gorgug just does not fit into by trying to make gorgug’s relationship with his rage more focused on the aggression aspect of it. but then there’s also this specific thing that brennan brought up again in the ap, which is that gorgug’s relationship with his rage is wholly “this is a tool i use to protect my friends.” which isn’t a bad thing! but that’s his Whole relationship with it, & gorgug seems to place next to no value on his rage in relationship to himself. which is problematic, because it’s first & foremost his rage.

being raised in a household with a sort of toxic positivity largely meant that, whether or not it was his parents’ intention, gorgug internalized the message that more traditionally “negative” emotions such as anger are the wrong response to something. part of the reason he prioritizes his artificing is probably because it’s “fixing” things. in comparison to being a barbarian, which gorgug associates with “breaking” things. good vs. bad behavior, in his eyes.

it’s a totally unacceptable bar to measure a 16 y/o by, but i do think part of porter’s reasoning for not letting gorgug multiclass is him recognizing that gorgug generally does not value anger as a valid emotional response to something, at the very least for himself. & that directly conflicts with what being a barbarian is, because whether you like it or not, that rage is what fuels you. but again, barring a kid from pursuing something they deeply care about in part (not entirely, porter has a lot of more bullshit reasons) because of their fundamental values & world outlook is crazy.

so yes, 98% of porter’s reasoning is pretty shitty, immature, rife with a toxic view that there’s only one proper way to access rage, & generally not a good thing to do as a teacher, but also within that reasoning is the 2% of ‘there is a fundamental part of yourself that you only value if you can use it to take care of other people & you need to accept that as something that can take care of you, too.’ but that’s something to discuss with a therapist or a guidance counselor, not something that should hugely impact gorgug’s academic future.

I just wanna say something about the new video /nm

I’ve seen a lot of people assuming various things about Jash’s gender identity just from how he dresses in the dance segment. Like some folk in the cjfs are saying things along the lines of “OH EM GEE HE’S SUCH A GENDERQUEER ICON”, and others are even going as far as calling him a femboy.

I get you all have good intentions and mean this in a positive light, but please, have respect for Mr. Jash. Note that he is an actual fucking guy. Don’t woobify or idolize him to an uncomfortable extent. Also, we need to avoid forcing labels upon him. As a cis guy, his fanbase shouldn’t be shoving him into a certain corner of identity that doesn’t resonate with him, merely because of the way he dresses in a video. Plus, the outfits he’s in aren’t necessarily ‘feminine’. They aren’t gendered! They’re pieces of clothing!! Just because he’s wearing fits that go against masc norms, it isn’t an instant sign that ‘holy shit chonnathan jash gener fluid real’.

Also, this is a huge personal gripe of mine, can we PLEASE NOT CALL HIM A FEMBOY????? I haven’t seen many people do this thankfully, but, do I even have to explain why this ain’t it????? Not only do some trans people consider it a slur, but this is a real, cis, grownass man we’re talking about. As a fanbase, we need to establish and acknowledge that this guy is an actual person with feelings and boundaries.

I’ve just noticed that with a lot of GNC artists/influencers, there’s a lot of pressure from their fans to be labeled as genderqueer just because of how they appear. Please remember that gender presentation is a spectrum, and presentation does NOT equal gender identity !!! Just because a cis man is more fem-presenting than societal standards, it doesn’t instantly make them not cis. The definition of being cis is that you identify with your AAB gender. That’s the only requirement.

Anyways, I honestly hella appreciate that Jash is doing this!! We don’t see GNC cis folk to often, and this guy is just!! So valid man!!!! I am immensely comforted.

Don’t get me wrong, it IS ok to gender envy him (i sure as hell do), and complement his appearance. If you wanna say he’s pretty, go ahead!!!!! Just remember that at the end of the day, no matter whatever you say, just have respect for the guy and don’t be a fuckin weirdo with it!!!!!!!!

IT HAPPENED!!!!! milo finished his ISWS championship today with a BOB win over 13 other silkens. i am so excited to be DONE SHOWING HIM FOREVER!!!!! 😂😂😂 i am also so proud of him and so glad i didn’t chicken out of showing on a hot day. shows are expensive, and going to pick milo up for every show has been…a lot. but i’m glad i kept trying.

and yet. there’s one massive HOWEVER. ruby appears in s15: millie’s been spotted on set filming it. which leads me to believe — the doctor isn’t one to take the time travel route and revisit companions that in his future are genuinely dead. that would hurt too much, it would cause unnecessary trauma and could break the timeline. that must mean ruby stays alive in some way. ish. she’s alive and a legend and a mystery. girl-ballad girl-song girl-paradox
