OK headcanon time in regards to mr b & scudworth based on some retcons & new info from s2 ep9 (& like one based on a bit from ep10) that no one asked for but AHHH

ok so this is based on the comment i saw on an edit but!! its the idea that scudworth created the butlertron robot model, which entered mass production. — this would explain how scudworth made mr b, the butlertron robot we see in the into photograph (a 2nd to last butlertron model that worked for scudworth, but broke down after an accident related to obtaining the needed dna samples), & why scudworth knows so much about the bots + individual serial numbers

mr b still goes by lynn, but its a name he picked for himself after leaving home, adopting besley as his middle name because he still loves his brother/past family, but wanted to cut ties after leaving

mr b calls people wesley because its a part of his programing, in that when his past family assembled him, it also allowed them to program a name for the robots primary companion. the name wesley is hard wired into him — this comes out in that it is the primary name he used towards everyone, especially scudworth due to their closeness. however, its use towards others fades with time after wesley’s death (only picks up when hes emotional & then obviously w scudworth)

mr b will still occasionally pray & make trips out to spend a bit of time in church, especially on the anniversary of wesley’s death — sometimes scudworth accompanies him (hes very much an atheist, & generally dislikes religion as a whole, but seeks to support mr b how he can)

ok lastly & most obviously, scudworth & mr b take in joan as their foster daughter & help take care of her after the fallout of the finale, mr b comforting her & trying to give advice while scudworth makes even more schemes on how to kill candide

I know a lot of people find the JJ and Spence "in another life" thing unnecessary, but as someone who has difficulty separating platonic-friend love and romantic love, I think this acknowledgment is perfect. 🥹

I also don't think it complicates anything. They aren't endgame, and I don't think they should be. I just love that it was acknowledged because I relate so much. Two people can love and be in love without needing to be together as a couple. And, Spence and JJ not being full of lust or need (neither said in a negative connotation) is what makes it work so seamlessly with their lives pre-acknowledgment.

Relistening to Anatomy Class on this fine morning and I really do think that it's the funniest TMA episode. These creatures just wanted to learn about the insides and were nothing but polite and Dr. Lionel Elliot was over here pissing his pants in fear because they left him an apple. Man I can't imagine being mondo in the middle of case 2,

Because like the entire first half is unrelated red herrings to the murder HE committed, and no one has even fathomed that he's involved. Everyone is too busy accusing byakuya, then toko, then finding out toko is a serial killer, THEN finding out she wasn't involved at all and it was just byakuya's shitty copycat of serial killer toko in an attempt to make the case more "interesting."

And the only reason Mondo gets found out is because he made a slip of the tongue. If he hadn't said "blue tracksuit," he might not have gotten caught or at least postponed them finding out it was him. The guilt might've gotten to him if they kept going back and forth for a while, and he would have just confessed like he did at the end of the trial, but like...damn.
