The World of Interiors presents Visitors’ Book from Emery Walker’s House at 7 Hammersmith Terrace. Together with William Morris, Emery Walker was a trailblazer of the arts and crafts movement during the 19th and 20th century. Emery Walker’s Georgian terrace overlooks London’s River Thames, and is preserved as a snapshot in time with Walker’s furniture and objects. 

From the drawer containing some of William Morris’ personal items to the hand-embroidered coverlet by William’s daughter, May Morris, the densely-decorated, jewel-toned interiors preserve a vibrant slice of Walker’s milieu. “Emery Walker’s house is a really unique survival of a truly authentic arts and crafts interior,” says Helen Elletson, curator of the William Morris society. BLOODMOON ⇢ a gcu installment

Emery Walker never knew her parents. They were killed in an accident before she was old enough to remember them and was raised by her two older sisters, namely her eldest sister Lily. Together, the siblings worked hard to keep the family bakery, Walker’s Wonders, afloat throughout the years. Then, as Emery entered her freshman year of highschool, tragedy struck twice—Lily was killed on her way home from a corner store. A victim of opportunity.

Emery and her only remaining sister, Rachel, lived and worked together moving forward, spending all their time on the bakery to help equally ignore and process their grief. One evening as the sisters were closing up for the night, Emery was careless with a box cutter and accidentally sliced Rachel’s hand. It was in the frantic scramble for pressure on the bleeding wound that Emery felt a pinch. The wound disappeared. The Walker sisters agreed it was safest to keep Emery’s ability between them moving forward, so she kept it to herself into her senior year of high school.

It was then she met Peter Parker. And suddenly, she wasn’t the only one with a life changing secret.

WHICH OC IS THE MOST...

Ambitious?

(desius link cw: images relating to death, blood, carnivals) The most ambitious could go to quite a few, but I'll choose Walker Hitch this time; a siyal from my general lore. Though she's at the 'top of the food chain' nowadays, it wasn't always like this. She began as a gladiator in the siyal city and worked her way up to be the best. Desius provided some unfair help, but that's not too unusual for them. Walker is easily one of my favorite and most complicated characters that I've created; she's cruel, powerful, and arrogant. And her strength never wavers.

Attentive?

A guardian angel turned god, Emery Norcross is a gentle giant and a sweetheart. He's from Faefinder, a wip I've only begun to plan out, though I created him long before this. As a guardian angel, he is very understanding and gentle with the boy he's assigned to protect, and attentive to every need, whether verbalized or not.

Anxious?

(ellyse link cw: images relating to death, blood, horror game Alice: Madness Returns) Tallie Hightwist, from my twisted Alice retelling Ellyse of Wonderspire, is easily one of the most anxious. She's a chimeric human and my version of The Mad Hatter. Only able to die at the hands of another chimeric/person from her fairytale. She's known to ramble and will often interrupt herself, list multiple synonyms, or speak in ways that confuse the average person. She's also extremely anxious due to a traumatic past involving Ellyse, or Alice.

Bold?

This one would definitely go to Valiant, another from my general lore! She's a luminary; immortal, but with a good heart. She's extremely confident and does her best to free those who are enslaved; she has freed many genies over her lifetime,so much so that she's known as their protector!

Spontaneous?

As usual, I had a lot of good choices for this one, but I've settled on my version of the Cheshire cat, from Ellyse of Wonderspire, Shire Alastair Marcellus. Shire has a shattered mine. Literally; his energy, or lifeforce, is shattered into pieces, and this leads him to not always be super coherent. However, he is incredibly mischievous and loves to explore. He's known to pop up in random places all over the Worlds to confuse and play pranks on residents.

Lots of new characters introduced here, and I'm super excited to be talking about them more!

Its only been a month or two out since the Dollhouse finale, but fans are already speculating and debating on the ideal cast of season thirteen.

Here's our ideal lineup:

dallia park - Dallia has already proven that she can be outspoken, so we thought she'd be the perfect person to hop into Dollhouse next season. With her sister having been the winner of Season 12, she better try to honor the legacy.

natasha reynolds - Who better than Natasha Reynolds? Every season needs an alcoholic. Dax had us covered this season, but what about next? Renata had to punch someone to get a bottle of tequila.. I bet Natasha would set someone on fire to get one.

venus colby - C'mon. You guys had to know this one was coming. It is frequently debated why Venus Colby has never been on Dollhouse. Is she declining, is she failing the psych exam? Either way, we'd love to see her.

sophie selwyn - We'd love to see someone wide eyed and a little stupid to be confused as to why everyone isn't getting along. Someones gotta balance out the aggression.

noah chang - Will Cipher ever go on the show? Probably not, but alas we can hope. We'd love to see what secrets would get revealed during the lie detector challenge.

thomas doyle - Someones gotta be the stick in the mud! Every season needs a Sadie.

bonnie walker - A girl can dream, can't she? With Fletcher and Poppy having been on this season, we can only hope to have Bonnie on next season to force some tears out as they make her watch the Fletcher-Poppy scenes on repeat.

andrea jansen - We need to talk about Goosh, Andrea!

emery rappaport - We haven't really had too many old guys on the show. It'd be hysterical, in my humble opinion, to watch Emery try to keep the peace with Sophie while everyone rips each others arms off.

rai shio - While we don't know much about Rai, someone will have to fill the Logan-shaped hole in our heart. Someones gotta be the streamer that doesn't shower.

Wallpaper of the Week #51

Week 51 features the Emery Walker House collection from Morris. There are six designs with three or four colors and three with two colors. They all come with just a kickboard or a kick and crown. It's all sorted into folders, too.

His arms and legs were bound to the wooden chair he was sitting on. This wasn’t his first kidnapping, he was more bored than anything. It had to have been hours since he was brought here. The thirst was the most uncomfortable thing, but it still didn’t bother him that much. He’d been cocky, he guessed, to spy on the trainers from this very facility at the party without any kind of backup. But hey, they did him quite the favour. Once he got out, he’d have valuable intel of the layout of this building, as well as faces and names.

Really, this was a win.

Eric tilted his head up, looking at the lights. They were orange. Oh, it was really going to be disorienting when they stepped outside again. One inconvenience out of many. He looked up and up and back and back, stretching his head back as far as it could go and...

Thud.

Eric grunted when the chair met the floor. Ah, that’ll tell him not to be stupid as usual. Oh well, no regrets. He glimpsed the back wall from the ground, eyeing the restraints attached to it. Wow, lucky him! He’ll probably get a first-hand account!

The door slammed open.

“Ah, so you’re an even more of an idiot than I gave you credit for.”

The footsteps stopped beside him. Eric grinned up at the face looming above him. He caught a hint of anger there, masked by their efforts of looking unamused. “See, I understand why you think I’m one now, but what gave it away before?”

“Spying on us, planting a bug, and then getting caught.” The man—trainer—stepped out of his field of view, walking around the room. “That, is idiocy.”

“Who says this wasn’t part of the plan?”

“Because I hope we got bugged by someone who is at least smart enough to know how awful of a plan that is.” Their face came back into view. And so did their boot as it came hurtling at Eric’s face. Eric cursed when the boot connected with his nose, blood dripping from it over his face and onto the floor below. Well, that’s what the drain is for, he thought, and almost laughed.

“Is that...all you’ve got?”

The man smiled. “No, but I really wanted to do that.” He raised Eric’s chair so it was back to a sitting position. “And while I’d love to show you more, you really have to die now.” He took out a revolver, aiming it in between Eric’s eyes. The gun clicked.

“Any last words?”

Eric looked at the gun, looked at the man holding it, and grinned. He wouldn’t do it, he knew. He was far too valuable a source of information. “What’s your name?” Might as well get a little bit more insight of his apparent captor.

The trainer grinned back, a feral kind of look in his eyes. As if he enjoyed the challenge. “Rylan. Rylan Emery.”

“Pretty name.”

Rylan smirked, before rearing their hand back instead. “Pretty face.”

The butt of the gun collided with Eric’s temple, and all he knew was darkness.
