You looked at the two people standing in front of you. Though they weren’t exactly paying attention, they were still there and whispering stuff amongst themselves. 

You recognised both to be Kafka and Blade from the Xianzhou wanted posters. Jing Yuan had warned you of possible dangers of the job he offered you. Being his secretary certainly wasn’t easy, and the situation you’d gotten yourself into wasn’t helping.

Nevertheless, you never expected to actually get kidnapped. Especially by those two. 

“Oh~ you’re awake” Kafka suddenly spoke up, bringing both hers, and Blade’s, attention to you. 

You quietly sighed and looked at the wall to your right. A simple, light grey wall, with a few scratches and indents. 

“Let me get straight to the point…” she continued, her tone switching to a more serious one as she walked closer to you. 

“We brought you here for information. Of course… Silver Wolf told me of your position, it’s quite easy to infer you know as much as that General does.” 

You could faintly hear Blade scoff in the background, as he stayed where he was. Though, ‘Silver Wolf’ was a name you didn’t recognise. In fact, you had no idea there was a third member of the stellaron hunters, which then brings about the question: are there more?

Deciding not to think about it too much, you looked back at Kafka and narrowed your eyes. 

“I have the right to remain silent” 

Kafka only chuckled as she heard your reply. 

“Maybe on the Xianzhou” she rejoiced, before turning around and walking back towards Blade, though stopping half-way for some reason. She turned to look over her shoulder at you before chuckling again. 

“So…-” she was about to say something, when a short girl with grey hair slammed the door open, holding a gaming console in her hands. 

“Kafka, you’d said you’d buy me that game today. Let’s go, you owe it to me.” She exclaimed, crossing her arms. 

“I did do that, didn’t I?” Kafka pondered 

“Well… I suppose i can come along. Let’s go, silver wolf!” She starts walking towards the door, when, out of nowhere, Blade draws his sword on her, stopping her from leaving.

He glared at her, making his annoyance clear. 

“And I’m supposed to stay here whilst you’re gone?” 

“That’s right. I’m sure you can handle this, Bladie. It’s not a difficult task to get information out of someone~” the woman grinned and pushed his sword to the side, casually continuing her walk to the shorter girl. 

“Well then, I’ll be leaving now. We’ll be gone a while, anyway… bye!~” she exclaimed, taking the girl, whom you now know to be Silver Wolf, with her and shutting the door. 

“Kafka…” he hissed, keeping his glare fixated on the door for a while. It was safe to say you felt… endangered… he certainly wasn’t happy, and if you didn’t cooperate, he’d probably turn to violence. Though you couldn’t be completely sure. You’d only heard stories about him from Jing Yuan. 

“So….” You dragged out the ‘o’ sound, causing him to turn his glare to you.

You chuckled nervously, as he sheathed his sword and went to sit down, seemingly gathering his thoughts before finally looking back at you. 

“Tell me what you know and we won’t have a problem.” Blade dictated, as if he wasn’t giving you a choice. However, you’re good at finding loopholes and getting out of such situations… as new as being kidnapped may be… 

You pretended to think for a while, glancing back at the slightly damaged wall to your right. 

“Hm… no… I don’t think I will” 

“I’m not giving you a say in the matter.” He immediately replied, in a harsher tone than before. 

“So unfortunate…” you said, sighing very over-dramatically. You could tell you were getting on his nerves, although, you didn’t really care.

You assumed that, since they want information, he won’t harm you in any way. 

Blade glared at you, sighing. 

“Tell me what you know. If you just hand over the information then you won’t have to stay here any longer.” 

“Tempting, tempting….” you repeated before adding “but what if I want to stay here?” 

“And why would you want that?” He asked, confused. 

You stood in silence for a moment, giving him a deadpan look.

“Have you even seen yourself?!” You exclaimed, using your hand to motion at him. Blade looked at you, his confusion not waning. 

“What?” He asked after a moment, still not understanding what you meant. 

You stood confidently, placing your hand on your chin, in a thinking pose whilst looking at him with a slight smirk. 

“Well, you heard me! There’s a whole 5-star meal sitting in front of me!” 

“What?” He asked again in slight disbelief, slightly sitting up in his seat. 

“What? I’m not wrong!” You laughed, looking him up and down before adding to your sentence. 

“My bad, 5 stars doesn’t cover it. However, 3 Michelin stars does!” 

He opened his mouth, as if to speak, though he remained silent. Blade leaned forward and placed his hands on his face, thinking for a moment. After a few minutes, he just barely moved his hands, enough to see you. He had a mix of emotions visible on his face, the most prominent one being absolute, utter confusion. 

“What? It’s not like I’m lying!” 

He began muttering something to himself, however it was so muffled that you could only make out a few words. 

“Don’t do…- irrational…- Kafka said…- important…” 

“What’re you muttering about?” You asked, curiously, as you walked a bit closer to him. 

“I’m trying my hardest not to get rid of you.” He replied, not even sparing you a glance. Though you most certainly could see just the faintest hint of a blush on his face. 

“Oh come on! You wouldn’t do that~” you retaliated, taking on a more teasing tone now.

“Only because-“ he tried replying, however, you decided to interrupt him mid-sentence.

“Say, do you wanna, like… go out sometime?” 

“Kafka was right…” he sighed “You’re absolutely insane.”

“No! I’m simply telling the truth.” You crossed your arms and leaned your weight on one foot. “That’s great. Yeah no, I’m not going out with you.” 

“Why?” 

“Because I said so.” 

You sighed, once again over-dramatically, and leaned against the nearest wall. 

“Alright, fine… but I’m not giving up any information that could betray the Luofu.” 

“I’m leaving the moment Kafka returns.” He sighed and sat up again, leaning against the back of the chair. He’s probably hoping for Kafka to return soon. 

However, she didn’t return as soon as he hoped. Kafka returned a few hours later, absolutely exhausted so she only came to check on the both of you, whom were sitting in silence. 

“Bladie, I’m going to bed. You stay here a while longer. I’m convinced Silvie won’t be of help to you. She had me buy her like 10 games!” She mumbled and waved, right as blade was about to leave when he saw her. Kafka shut the door behind her, leaving the two of you alone… again. 

“So… about my earlier proposition-”

“No. Shut up.”

“So I guess I’m supposed to take your soul?” - he figures someday

you just shrug it off and agree because ever since he suddenly moved in with you you two have become pretty good friends

also he’s very cute and seems clueless as to how a demon is supposed to behave, so you secretly don’t think he’d ever be able to take your soul

plus, you know he’s taken a liking to you and his soft spot for you won’t allow him to harm you

really you kinda just chill in your room all day and watch series or play games??

he’s more like a brother you get along with super well than a demon trying to kill you

however, when other demons find out that he’s not doing his job, they decide to do it for him

you can trust him to always hide you well and keep the other demons at a distance

he will do everything he can to protect you from them

the annoyed demon

has been living as a demon for so long that he’s kinda getting tired of it tbh

especially if he ends up choosing a person who doesn’t give up their soul so easily

unfortunately, you are one of those people

so when he realizes this, he just begins to dread the whole thing aksdjfölka

however, he takes his duties as a demon very seriously, and his pride won’t just let him ditch you - he has to see this through until the end

when he finally reveals himself to you, because you just will not give him any kind of opening to steal your soul otherwise, you are understandably scared at first

however, when he offers to grant you your biggest wish, you start to wonder if it’s worth making a deal with him, because surely he must want something in return?

you stay suspicious and start asking questions to figure out what exactly he is

and in the end this discussion is being dragged out so much that he simply lets out a deep sigh and admits everything lol

but since he already promised to grant you a wish, you decide to trick him and wish for him to be your loyal servant until the end of time

which, in your dictionary means he shouldn’t be able to take your soul in the first place, and in his eyes it means that he might still have a chance

so here he is, your own personal servant, who you also just made a pact with

you make him do stuff like bringing you snacks or doing your work for you at first, receiving death glares in exchange

however, at some point a weird tom-and-jerry like friendship starts between you two, and you actually start enjoying spending time with each other

he keeps joking about how he will simply murder you and take your soul while you’re sleeping at night whenever you annoy him in the slightest

but he says that with such an adoring smile on his face ???? 

technically he shouldn’t be able to do that, as it goes against what you wished for - he’s still Renjun tho, so you can never be too sure…

and no matter how well you get along in the end, he will still end up taking your soul one day

Jeno:

the soft-hearted demon

one night you wake up to him, looking all scary and threatening, on top of you, pinning you down to your bed so you can’t escape

you’re obviously scared and don’t know what’s going on

you try to scream, but no sound will come out when he covers your mouth with one hand

and then suddenly you see his features become very soft and the tension leaving his body

has a mental breakdown in the corner of your room because your eyes were wide with fear and you looked so scared and he just isn’t cut out for this whole demon lifestyle

disappears after that but realizes he’ll get in trouble if you reveal his identity, now that you know his face

so he returns one day, politely knocking on your window pane until you let him in :’)

you’re obviously suspicious and scared at first, but then he starts incoherently rambling about his worries

you understand nothing

he panics and eventually leaves again?????

he really is NOT cut out for this…

eventually he HAS to return to you though, because he’s in danger, and you’re also now in danger of being found by other demons

explains himself a bit more coherently this time and out of guilt he offers to protect you???

wasn’t he supposed to take your soul instead???

you’re not sure how this bundle of soft feelings and internal panic is supposed to protect you, but he also refuses to leave with a huge pout on his lips so you decide to let him stay for now

when other demons start swarming your home a bit after that, he makes sure to ward off every single one of them

you grow closer and you come to trust him eventually, feeling reassured that he can protect you

Haechan:

the troublesome demon

technically pretty smart, because he takes the time to observe and get to know about you first

however, when you can’t sleep and keep rolling around in bed and getting up and lying down again several times the very night he was planning on surprising you in your sleep to take your soul, he loses all patience

lets out a huge groan eventually and crawls out from under your bed, wordlessly goes to the kitchen to get chips while mumbling something about needing snacks to calm down, and then sits next to you to watch you fall asleep

obviously NOW you can’t fall asleep because there’s a stranger in your bedroom??? eating your snacks???

he does not explain anything, he just sits there grinning to himself while snacking away

only when you scream in terror that you’re going to call the police, he gets up

“Whoa there, no need to go that far.”

explains that he’s just some apparition and you’re actually already sleeping and you’re just having this hyperrealistic dream to process some kind of hidden worry??

decides that he could just have a bit of fun with you before doing his work, so he crawls out from his hideaway every other night to chat with you

eventually he also convinces you to play games with him and to cook midnight snacks together

he originally made this all a part of his plan to get you to trust him but actually?? spending time with you??? is a lot of fun??

also maybe he’s developing a little crush on you and he can’t decide if that makes it more dreadful or more fun to take your soul later on

he ends up getting really attached to you and clings to you all the time

that is until one night, another demon comes to take your soul and he protects you, ending up explaining everything to you

becomes your personal guardian and gaming buddy after that

Jaemin:

the responsible demon

one day he simply appears and starts telling you what to do??

nags you to do your homework and teaches you how to do taxes

gets really annoying when you don’t do your chores

“I cannot have you live like this.”

lists 74385723 reasons why you should keep your house clean and take care of yourself (literally who askeddddd???)

threatens you to take your soul on the spot if you don’t do what he says aksjdflka

actually very caring and means well, but just cannot watch you procrastinate on stuff that needs to be done eventually

at this point he doesn’t feel like an intruder anymore, so you just accept that there’s this supernatural being somehow supporting you in getting your life together

he also doesn’t really give you the time to figure out that maybe keeping him around could potentially be dangerous to you

either way, you actually come to appreciate his efforts in motivating you, and as he too gets more used to you and takes a liking to you, his words become more gentle

that doesn’t mean he will let you slack off and procrastinate on things that are just stressing you out unnecessarily because you keep not doing them

also has weirdly specific household tips and tricks for you??

if you attempt to cut into your sleep time by staying up too late, he will literally pull you to your bed and not let you get up again until morning kjsdflkas

forces you into taking good care of yourself, and he’s somehow both the nicest and the most annoying being you know

but as a responsible demon, he still has to do his job of taking your soul eventually

however, there’s still some time until then; after all he has to make sure you’re eating three healthy meals a day and that your tax return is filled out correctly

the melancholic demon

tells you in detail about how life on earth was 800 years ago

you think you’re having a fever dream when someone suddenly emerges from under your bed and starts off a conversation with “You know, back in my days…”

dude, you’re like 20, what are you talking about???

really, he’s been wandering this world for hundreds of years, not aging physically due to him being a demon

and now he’s here to take your soul - he doesn’t literally tell you that though

instead, he starts openly explaining how he’s taken the souls of many other people and how you can’t escape him anyway, due to his experience and knowledge of the human mind

basically he’s explaining to you in the most chill and unfazed way possible that he’s about to kill you, while throwing in some memories here and there, feeling nostalgic

you’re in for a very long night, because this guy just won’t stop talking and sharing his wisdom, and at times it seems like he doesn’t even care if you’re listening or not

at some point asks if you happen to have a good bottle of wine at home??? kind of like a last supper he wants to have with you??

what is wrong with him

eventually you join in on the conversation and he finds what you’re saying so interesting that he takes an instant interest in you

obviously you feel very pressured now, maybe even so pressured that you fail to find something to talk about at all

rest assured though, he’s been in this for long enough to not let any chance to enjoy the small things in life slip away, so he always helps you out in finding a topic for a conversation

Jisung:

the awkward demon

has no clue what he’s doing

like that villain who always explains his grand plan of evil to you before actually executing it, except make it very awkward and also there is no actual execution of the plan that follows

he’s a shy bean and who even ever thought he’d do well as an entity designed entirely to take people’s souls???

and it’s his first time taking someone’s soul too, so he’s just very anxious, and what if he embarrasses himself??? (like that’s the part he should be most worried about???)

anyway, he has a super-foolproof plan (at least he thinks it’s foolproof), which already fails at step one

so one night you’re lying in your bed, about to fall asleep, when you hear something rustling under your bed

you don’t think much of it, but when you hear the noise again you decide to get up and take a look

you turn on the lights and find a person hiding there in plain sight, eyes squinting because it’s too bright and holding a huge bag of sweets in his arms

he’s very dumbfounded

eventually he holds out the sweets to you and goes “Let me take your soul in exchange for these treats!”

you start screaming, because there is a complete stranger under your bed and how did he even get there??? so he finally jumps out, slamming his hand over your mouth

“Shh!! What if someone hears us or finds out I’m here?”

eventually changes his bribe into you shutting up about him in exchange for the sweets, and also slips up somewhere in between, revealing that he is - in fact - a demon

now he feels so guilty for inconveniencing you that he’s unable to take your soul

therefore he simply surprises you every night with a new supply of sweets

he still has a lot to learn, sigh…

I really like your DMC headcanons

Can you perhaps write a headcanon of the DMC men with a reader who is the granddaughter of Van Helsing (the 2004 version starring Hugh Jackman). She specializes in hunting Supernatural creatures, especially Vampires due to their destructive nature. She took pride of her profession due to it being a sort of family legacy but it brought lots of tragedies to her bloodline (it can be due to her loved one’s passing, etc..) so she felt somewhat conflicted with it as well

In the 2004 film version of Van Helsing, he turned into a Werewolf/Lycanthrope. Imagine how they’d react, seeing their beloved girlfriend, whom they thought was a normal human woman who happens to be a supernatural hunter, turns out to also be a Werewolf, a fearless yet ferocious and aggressive creature by night, craving for violence against those that wronged her

-Best way to control your violent tendencies is to have V tie you down with nylon cord in a basement or other room lined with steel, lock and barricade the door, and have his familiars stand guard.

It wouldn't take long for Flug to figure out what you were doing. He tends to be someone who is very attentive when it comes to the people he cares about. At first, he would be unresponsive. The shock of knowing you were doing something like that would certainly shake him up. His intuitive reaction would be to hug you. That's right, a hug. At a moment like this, he would forget all the villainy that takes part of his heart to simply hug you tightly. He would never see it as your fault, on the contrary, he would start to wonder if maybe he was doing something that was bringing you down, and he would start to feel guilty, even if he wasn't to blame. He would help you bandage your wounds, and beg you not to do something like that again.

Flug can be extremely clumsy in social interactions, but he would definitely try to make conversation to understand what is going on. Even though his time was short, he would try to show small, specific acts of affection to try and lift your spirits. The scientist may or may not have experience with self-harm, but you would know right away that he cares. He's trying to help you.

🎸Demencia:🎸

The lizard girl would be extremely confused. She would never imagine that you would do something like that, and since she's not human, she would have difficulty understanding your reasons. This would be one of the few times where she wouldn't act like a complete lunatic and would actually try to listen to you, despite not being able to focus completely. Seeing you in this state, Demencia would feel worried, and would quickly try to alleviate your situation with her usual charisma:

"Sadness?? Pfft- Not while your wonderful girlfriend is around!!"

She would drag you with her to do fun things like: blow up an entire city, steal candy from little kids, kidnap a raccoon or even prank someone! Anything to help you distract yourself.

She would have no idea how to clean wounds like that, but as long as she was around, she would certainly bring a smile to your face. And in a romantic scenario, she would become overly affectionate (if that's possible). Don't get her wrong, she's just extremely protective of the people she's obsessed with... I mean, in love with. In the end, all she would want was your happiness by her side.

🧸5.0.5🧸 (PLATONIC!!!):

It's a consensus for us that 5.0.5 is naive about many things, but he, better than any experiment, would immediately realize that something was wrong if he noticed that you were gloomy. The bear can always see when someone is down, and it's his job to cheer them up when something like that happens, especially a friend!

He would start giving you more of his cozy hugs and make several colorful drawings of you and the rest of the organization on paper. Surely, the kid has done things like this before, but he would try to cheer you up even more when he sees that you are not in good condition. In general, his affection for you would increase even more in this situation, and he would help you to no longer feel lonely with his adorable affection!

Undertale Characters as Pokémon

Ok, I recently had this dumb idea to reimagine some of the major Undertale characters as Pokémon. But I wanted it to be interesting. I couldn't just Pokémonify the characters. Hell, I couldn't even make them based on physical appearance. Noooo the overachiever part of me that only comes out in this exact level of Dumb Idea TM decided to make it based on the personalities and/or lore.

So, without futher ado, I present to you this thing that I drew instead of studying:

Before you we have:

Player as Mimikyu

People had difficulty recognising it as a Pokémon, many having believed it to simply be a ghost in disguise. It is said to be a cursed being, and those who have seen under their rags have all died painfully. No, I will not separate the player into different pokemon based on routes that's a choice, not a personality.

Undyne as Arbok

Vengeful and territorial. Will not give up chasing its prey no matter how far. Terrifyingly strong, can not be escaped once you are inside its grip. I'm so proud of the pattern I made for this one and will not accept criticism.

Mettaton as Alolan Meowth

It is very spoiled, selfish and arrogant, which makes it popular. Usually preys on weaker Pokémon. Will become very aggressive when someone dirties its coin or hurts its self-esteem. This one was perfect, handed down to me by Mew itself. I had to do it. Look at it and tell me I'm wrong.

Asgore as Kangaskhan

It has zero forgiveness for those who harm its child and will beat them down. There are records of a lost human child being raised by a childless Kangaskhan. Yes I know Kangaskhans are all female. Yes, I know I could have made Toriel the Kangaskhan and Asgore the Drakloak. But I already drew both of them and it was a pain I am not changing it now.

Sans as Abra

It sleeps for 18 hours a day. It senses impending attacks and teleports away to safety before the actual attacks can strike. Do I need to say more?

Don't be deceived by its cute appearance, it will poison its prey and drag them into the depths of the ocean to drown and be eaten. I wish I was kidding. Ghost Pokémon are horrifying if you actually think about it for a few minutes.

Toriel as Drakloak

Blah blah blah Kangaskhan blah blah lazy blah blah. You've already heard this before, so I'll skip the rant. Without a Dreepy to place on its head and care for, it gets so uneasy it'll try to substitute any Pokémon it finds for the missing Dreepy. If a Drakloak is defeated in a battle, its Dreepy will wander off without a second thought.

You may have noticed that I didn't include Alphys. Other than wanting a nice, easy number of drawings to sort, I do have a reason for that. You see, Alphys doesn't really... fit a Pokémon that well. She acts more like a professor to me, especially due to her experiments with DT and the mess that it caused so yeah. It's totally not because I'm lazy (ok maybe only partially).

Vox did grab Val by his fluff, drag him down, and scream in his face. Vox wasn’t just yelling at Val, he was yanking him by the hair and screaming. What about that doesn’t imply mutual toxicity in that scene?

Assuming you're talking about Vox's reaction to finding out Alastor is back, I... literally said that wasn't okay in the original post. I said that throwing your partner is unjustifiable and he shouldn't have done that. But it's one thing that is IMMEDIATELY followed up by Val continuing to manipulate him into doing something really fucking stupid, and the only time Vox does something even REMOTELY similar is when Val isn't listening to him and is about to shoot up a fucking building. He also says "fuck you" to Val in the lead up to Stayed Gone, but that's in response to Val obviously trying to make him angrier. The rest of his tantrum is confined to seething, talking to himself and singing at Alastor. So yes, while that IS a really shitty thing to do, and I STRESSED HOW BAD IT WAS IN THE ORIGINAL POST, it's still one thing that, in the context of the scene and when compared to the rest of the things Val was doing to Vox, doesn't mean Vox is just as abusive.

And if you're talking about when he was pulling Val in to get his attention so he wouldn't shoot up a building, while that was extreme, I'd argue that it was justified. Because he wasn't listening to reason and VAL WAS GOING TO VERY PUBLICLY SHOOT UP A BUILDING THAT CONTAINED THE LITERAL ACTUAL PRINCESS OF HELL, WHICH COULD BOTH DRAG THE VEES IMAGE INTO THE MUD AND PUT ALL OF THEM, *ESPECIALLY* VAL, IN SERIOUS FUCKING DANGER. GRABBING HIM AND SPINNING HIM AROUND WAS THE ONLY WAY HE COULD GET HIM TO LISTEN. Like. What the fuck would you do in that situation, anon? Literally what other course of action was there??? Anyways. The point of that post wasn't to diss your interpretation of the characters. I don't necessarily AGREE with your interpretation, but honestly beyond the connotations to using that one scene as proof, mutually toxic StaticMoth doesn't actually hurt anyone and there isn't enough proof in canon for any of us to be 100% sure one way or the other. Plus, I don't usually get that heated over differing interpretations unless it's Disney Zombies. The reason I made that post was because I was noticing a dangerous pattern and wanted to speak up about it.

Okay so I love reading your opinions on all things RE. Your take and the way you write it is so refreshing, I really love it. Your observations and analysis is great and often makes me rethink a lot of things.

So here's what I've been trying to figure out. Since you said nobody but Chris looks past Leon being likable and respected. And that man needs some loving for real. Someone actually committed to the mess he is.

Would you say he is too unstable to be in an actual deeper and meaningful relationship? Is he to broken/ otherwise concencerned/ distrusting or is he just the kind of guy to not wanting to pursue deeper connections other than flings and friendships at arm's length?

Leon has a really abnormal life, and he knows it. he also knows just how much of a fucking nightmare it is, and he doesn't want to drag anyone else into the world of bioterrorism who otherwise would have no reason to be there or even know about it. he doesn't have the time to dedicate to a relationship, and even if he did, he wouldn't.

this is why we see him hitting on other operatives and not the civilians involved on any given mission (for reference, see: hitting on Hunnigan in OG while turning down Ashley's explicit offer of sex). there are still ways in which his lifestyle can make a civilian's life worse, even if they've already been exposed to bioterrorism. but an operative is pretty much just as fucked as he is, so they're fair game.

because, like. there's never any point where he rejects Chris's love for him. he might push back on the method with which Chris chooses to express it sometimes, and he might have other moments where he'd rather just be self-indulgent with his misery (Vendetta), but there's never a moment where it's like... "don't waste your time caring about me/I'm not worth it."

even with Ada, like... I'm not going to rehash my whole "guide to OG Aeon" post, but Leon never expresses that he feels unworthy of her help/affection/attention. he accepts it with as much grace as he can muster, in fact.

a romantic relationship just isn't his priority. relationships are work, and there are other things that he feels that he needs to give his emotional energy to -- and, because of his depression, the amount of energy he has emotionally is just much lower than that of other people. so he uses what little he has to focus on his job, because that's what's most important to him.

and I know that this probably sounds like it's running counter to my thesis statement re: Leon's character of "Leon is lonely and he fucking hates himself" but like. deprioritizing human interaction and relationships and the opportunity to be truly loved is, in and of itself, a form of self-harm. he'd rather cut himself off than put in the effort required to be vulnerable -- and that's the part that goes back to the idea of "I'm not worth it."

Leon sees what he's doing as being infinitely more important than who he is. he doesn't see who he is as a person as being worth giving up his work and/or exposing someone else to The Horrors.

and this is true for both OG and Remake Leon -- especially after the conclusion of Remake Leon's positive change arc in RE4make. prior to RE4make, you could maybe make the case that he was too broken and distrusting to pursue a deeper relationship with someone, but post-RE4make, that's not the case. post-RE4make Leon would love nothing more than to pursue a HEA with Ashley, but he knows that he has to prioritize Sherry, and his depression prevents his brain from considering the very simple question of: "Why not both?"

what makes laura a worse rep than blanka in your opinion

I'm not sure if I'm gonna say "worse rep" because I feel like quantifying representation as a tangible game or competition seems worthless and vague. Yes, it is better representation on the baseline for your Brazilian character to be a brown-skinned woman over a green jungle monster. Yes, I've seen plenty of Brazilians who don't like Blanka and find him offensive, and I've seen and even known fans that like Laura, I'm obviously not speaking for everyone. I know there was an attempt with Laura, I would have absolutely loved a representative of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a concept, I think the character might have even had promise if someone else had created her.

Blanka tends to get a pass mainly because, being a great lovable hero aside, he is too exaggerated and fantasy-like to even qualify as a stereotype and was created in a vacuum of ignorance that spared Blanka from being as racist as he could have been. We can argue whether Blanka represents a nasty idea of Brazilian people as savages, and I've seen some people take that impression, but I find that a stretch because, well one I've seen that idea a million times and know what it looks like and this is not it, and his design doesn't really have any racialized elements, and he's really only Brazilian by a technicality. Blanka could have come from anywhere, in fact his first draft was this really grody awful racist African character that they stepped back from and just kept making less and less like a person (and in turn less and less like a racist cartoon). He's a character who could have come from anywhere and got attached to Brazil because they wanted to make him green and thought, hey Brazil uuh they have green and jungles there.

Blanka would have been a lot worse if they hadn't altered his design to make him less human or if they had set out from the start to tie him to explicit national elements like they did with other characters. For the longest time, it wasn't even entirely clear whether he was even supposed to be from Brazil or just had a plane crash here (the record is more clear now that he was born in Brazil). I'm not going to say he's harmless because, again, some people have felt harmed by him as the lone representative, but nobody buys, or was ever supposed to buy, Blanka as representing a real person or standing for any group of people, he is just an exaggerated fantasyland monster with a very sympathetic story who happens to come from Brazil. It's not "great", but he was there, and he was there at a time nothing else was, which also goes a long way. There's a lot of reasons Blanka is beloved and embraced the way he is by me and so many others.

Where as Laura, well yes, I'm biased because I love Blanka and find Laura unbearable, obviously that's a deciding factor here. But for one, times have changed a lot since then, we can and must expect better especially from a new character that actually purports to be representative. Two, her story whitewashed Sean and completely cemented in him joke character status, in essence ruining the closest the series ever had to a truly great Brazilian character (he was never *quite* there but Sean had such a great design and I will die on the hill that he could have been something if they had approached him differently) and ensuring Sean will never go anywhere again without that dead weight character weighing him down (I seriously dislike their dynamic and don't think it's funny), so yes, I could say she's worse rep on the basis that at least Blanka is just one character, where as Laura not only exists but actively drags a better character down with her. And three, I don't hate Laura because she's scantily-clad or sexualized, I hate her because she was made in the image of a very twisted stereotype that pushes gringos to constantly and frequently treat Brazilian women like shit, and I just have to quote Ono himself to explain why:

"I've always heard that there were lots of beautiful women in Rio de Janeiro, but that wasn't quite what I saw when I went there in 2011. So for Laura, we decided to work with the more fanciful vision Japanese men have of Brazilian women, not exactly depicting the Brazilian woman faithfully. Oh, and there's some of my personal preferences as well."

I mean, I'm really really not asking for actual faithfulness here but, to put it gently, doesn't that sound kinda fucking disgusting? The audacity of him to say that to a Brazilian interviewer even. Putting aside the larger discussion of oversexualization of black/brown-skinned characters and how Japanese game devs perpetrate it, which this is part of, yeah no, I don't think it's cute that gringos are obsessed with objectifying Brazilian women. I don't think it's cute what tourists come here to do and how they behave around Brazilian women, I don't think it's cute that my friends and family members have been heckled and harassed and mistreated on overseas trips because gringos cannot respect Brazilian women, even white or white-passing ones, and of course I'm couching my language here to avoid getting into the topic of sexual harassment in a post that's just about a dumb videogame. To be clear, I don't have to have personal history with family members being on the receiving end of this to think this is disgusting and vile, and neither do you, but I do have it. And I don't think this gets talked about or criticized enough, in large part because gringos still think this is all just so harmless and funny and sexy.

No, I don't think sexualized Brazilian/brown women are inherently unforgivably offensive or off limits for character design (although maybe then people would think of something else for a change), no I'm not accusing Ono or Capcom of having a sinister agenda or however you wanna interpret what I'm saying to dismiss it as unimportant, I'm just saying it's part of the reasons why I find Laura irritating and upsetting. It would be one thing if she was just an annoying nothing character, but the circumstances of her creation and what she's meant to represent I find personally offensive on top of everything else.

And frankly in matters of representation, I don't think any of the SF characters (or Tekken/KOF/you name it) hold a candle to the cast of Capoeira Fighter, and it's deeply unfortunate that nobody knows of this series and that it was stuck in flash limbo for too long and that it's gameplay is a little too rough around the edges still, because that is a standard of character design I would have loved to see applied and held up to the rest of the fighting game genre (and just pointing out here that the main dev is a white guy from Utah). Still, I just discovered that this game is getting a remaster for 2024, so I do hope it might eventually get a proper release.

Ya know… I wish fandoms weren’t so toxic. Like, okay, yes, a lot of us will have differing opinions on things such as headcanons and ships, which is totally normal and okay.

I don’t understand why there’s this hive mindset where there’s “correct” headcanons and “correct” ships. Why can’t we have fun with fandoms like we used to? Why do we have to put each other down for the sake of them being “weird” or “different”? Isn’t fandom spaces meant to be fun? To share our love and interests in a media? Why do we have to fight and drag each other down in an attempt to be seen as the best?

I don’t really interact with anyone since anymore, I don’t know who can be trusted as an actual friend. You could say one “wrong” thing and be blocked, reported, or told many horrible things such as “KYS” and others.

Why can’t we go back and be able to just ignore what we didn’t like, but not bother or harass them? Why can’t fandom be fun anymore?

Sorry, this is such a random post, but really, we as a fandom, no matter what, need to do better. We need to realize that constantly fighting and harming others doesn’t make us good people. Especially ever dumb, petty matters over fiction. We need to focus on real life problems, real horrible people, not fiction. We need to let fiction be fun and let it be an escape for the realities around us…

Again, I’m sorry. This is a ramble and I’ve been debating on even posting this. I’m just tired of seeing so much hate for completely idiotic reasons… We deserve to be able to have fun and just vibe

I don’t hate Tae, I really don’t, he is the reason I’m into BTS in the first place, but it is mind blowing to me how Tkkers try to be so oblivious to everything Tae does. They will sit around all day calling JM the fanservice King but will hype up anytime Tae mentions JK in his 5 min livestreams. Yet completely ignore how JK does a 1hr or more for livestreams and barely (if at all) utter Tae’s name. Now I’m not comparing bonds, because they all are different from one another. Tkkers could talk about how Jikook is so one sided but purposefully ignore the fact that with Jikook it has always been mutual. Tkkers also completely ignore how Tae throws himself at all the members but mostly Jin and Hobi. They be like Jikook onstage moments are fanservice but then you have Tae flirting with every member, again mostly Jin and Hobi. They lost their minds when they saw TKK standing together in the photos they took. Went on about how Jikook were not next to each so that meant that Jikook did not speak to each other and then bomb. Bang tan Bomb was released and showed them otherwise. The insecurity quickly comes and goes with every Jikook and TKK moment that happens. I try not to pay attention to them over the small things but I draw the line at them accusing JM of horrible things.

This is why I think a lot of Tkkers don’t actually ship Taekook but only want them together not only for their visuals but for their fantasies. There is just no way Tkkers can get all this stuff from TKK and still be so pissed over a hug that JK basically melting into. It is so obvious that a good portion of Tkkers a clearly scared of Jikook possibly being real and are even more scared that JK might actually care and love JM, not as a romantic partner but just in general.

Now down to what pisses me off more than Tkkers…Armys or shall I say “Armys”. Tkkers have been saying that JM is SA-ing JK, h****ssing JK, A wording JK and R wording JK but what do “Armys” do? Well, Jkkers and Tkkers are like sibling, Jkkers call Tae an attention seeker (this is mostly based off of a specific tweet, where an “army” did compare Jkkers and JM solo Stan’s calling Tae an attention seekers to Tkkers calling JM a h****sser). Like this is why Tkkers are getting away with so much stuff, from h****ssing jewelry brands to models to members and “Armys” do nothing about it. There response to to everything is “ignore them and they will go away” or “I don’t wanna get involved in a fanwar”. This ain’t a fanwar and ignoring them is exactly why they have gotten so much worse. Making up horrible accusations is not something that should be taken lightly. If media outlets pick those accusations up (so glad they haven’t yet) it would be so bad for BTS. Also Armys are so quick to come at Blinks for all the horrible stuff they say about JM but can’t do the same thing towards Tkkers? What??!!! Is it because Blinks don’t just target JM they target all of BTS? But if that was the case than doesn’t that mean they should go after Tkkers as well? Tkkers token Stan Jin, Hobi and Yoongi mainly and that gets them dragged by JM solo Stan’s. So, it’s obvious that alot of “Armys” are Tkkers as well and share the same thoughts (JM is bothering JK and JK hates JM) as Tkkers do. This is why I say “if you think/act like a Tkker than I’m gonna say you are a Tkker”. Like there is no reason why we have been dealing with the same stuff since 2017. GCFT must’ve really bothered them a lot, especially since every time it the anniversary for GCFT, they lose their minds about how it was suppose to be a Vminkook trip.

I think anon the biggest problem is that they are scary. People are scared of them so they don't call them out..

I don't need to list the shit they've done. We all know. From photoshopping Jimin with bangpd to throwing shit at him in LV with the intent to harm him. They are dangerous. True ot7 accounts can't post about Jikook because they get attacked. Jimin fucking scares them and I don't know why.

The vermin are also OT1. They are V solos point black period. Because when JK dotes on Jimin and ignores V they go for the jugular. On the one half of their ship. I mean, the fact that they call Jikook FS is already super disrespectful to JK but they don't care about that. I honestly dk why V has the shittiest fans.

Look around, you will a find a Suga biased army, who is a Jkkr. You will find a Jin biased army who is a Jkkr, you will find a Hobi biased army who is a Jkkr. RM too. But you know what you will NEVER find? A V biased army who is a Jkkr. It boggles my mind. Truly. But I blame Taekook_lives and any other vermin with a YT channel or a TT. I blame big twitter accounts that hate on Jimin. Because they're the ones who watch original content and decide to spread lies. It in turn causes this chain reaction. They know tkkrs are not going to watch original content. Because they hate to see JK and Jimin all over each other. So they take advantage of it.

I am sad that members have to enlist. But I am looking forward to seeing what will happen to this group of people when they only have 5 year old content to work with for 2 years. Because lets face it, the good stuff was before JK and V fell out. When they still used to be close. Taekook are better now, but it ain't the same. Hopefully we can shed this dead weight when members are gone.

Whatever happened to the days of people simply blocking a person for producing art/writing they don't like instead of slandering them and accusing of terrible crimes? In my day when someone created a ship/headcanon/whatever that made us uncomfortable, we just blocked them and moved on with our day. We didn't comb through their blog for the tiniest bit of evidence that can be used to paint them as a monster/predator. Nor did we fling around serious felonies like confetti.

I know right? I hate this whole "if I don't like them nobody else can" thing in fandom and how they can't just personally dislike or be uncomfortable with someone or something, they always have to treat it like as a legitimate threat and accuse it of any serious immoral thing they can twist it into, to attack someone publicly and get them kicked out of public spaces while claiming they're doing the morally good thing in smearing their name.

In this situation I was upset to suddenly be dropped by people I'd known for years over a misunderstanding without a chance to explain but had they left it at that, it would've been frustrating but I could've moved on easily and in peace. But it becomes especially harmful and absolutely malicious when they drag me through the mud for months beyond their circle and turn anyone against me they can, who weren't involved in the slightest.

If someone isn't actively intentionally harming others with proof, it should be down to what the individual person thinks and if they choose whether to block or not for comfort, based on their personal experience and judgement. The second someone goes out their way to slander someone to make others agree with them and their own personal feelings, they become far more harmful than anything they claim their target to be doing.

This is one of the most harmful things that frustrates me most too. It does a lot more damage beyond my reputation as it risks others and even themselves not being taken seriously in times it'll be true and necessary to warn people because of false claims like this. They put all their energy into slandering instead of warning people about genuinely dangerous people and supporting anyone hurt. It shows how fake, performative, and manipulative it is.

They can only cry wolf for so long and one day they'll regret it when it's really needed and it's not treated with the severity and seriousness it needs. Or in many cases they were actually projecting or hypocritical in it too, so it's only a matter of time before it's revealed that they're not perfect either and someone gives them a taste of their own medicine with the exact type of slander they encouraged. Then they'll finally realize how harmful this is.

When I tried to speak out about a real serious situation of someone extremely dangerous who was reported to authorities, many didn't believe and victim blamed as they were so used to expecting it to be fake. So it's another reason I'm passionately angry because I've now been on both ends of not being believed in serious situations and being slandered in false ones. It hurts that people lying about me has been believed over me.

Claiming others are "icky" or "dangerous" is a lot more serious than you think, especially with lots of followers like you. And if you wouldn't mind me saying this, but it doesn't look like a sincere apology to me when you add the last bit that says "Well. We hurt each other so there". Can't you apologise without making things about yourself? The reply isn't meant for me, but I kinda notice you have this tendency where you make things about yourself in the end in a lot of your old replies concerning this issue you made for yourself. Which I think also helped fuel the flames to the old problems you faced. Idk, maybe its cause I'm so sick of seeing popular fanfic writers/artist control fandoms whether unintentionally or not. They also apologise like you, making the other party look bad by making it all about themselves.

I mean. Yeah I did say that it was gross, but I'm pretty sure I've already said that the error that caused the problem was that I had a completely different perception of what I was talking about than what was actually being said (a genuine error on my part), and also that I didn't realize my words had the connotations that they did, which was another misstep that lead to hurt feelings. Both of those were genuine mistakes caused by me a.) Not knowing what the fuck I was talking about and b.) me forgetting the fact that people don't have the same ideas about fiction that I do. Not really sure what else to do other than repeat that it was a mistake over and over, since the only other option would be to delete what I said but that would be dishonest and wrong. I DID fuck up.

As for the apology, I am sincere that I didn't mean to cause harm, but I am also sincere when I said that the response hit a specific trigger and hurt me as well- because it did. It did hit that specific trigger zone and I see no reason why I shouldn't be clear about it, especially since I wanted to make it apparent that I wasn't just shitting on people and dragging their name through the mud because I have some social status I wanted to flaunt or w/ever. I assumed it would make anon feel better while also asserting the fact that their behavior wasn't exactly okay either because I DID repeatedly say that I wanted the topic to be dropped and it didn't. Even the ground, try to lay down rules to prevent future conflicts, that sort of thing. It was a two-part statement- one, the apology and admittance that I was wrong, and two, the showing of vulnerability on my part to prove that I view myself as on equal standing as them and that I am also flawed and inherent to biases, while also pointing out how to not cause future conflict. I assumed that would be the most effective. I didn't even consider the fandom pov thing or power dynamics, bc this at its core was a misunderstanding between two people that had the misfortune of happening on a public platform.

I will agree that I do have an issue with talking about myself though, because to be frank, my own pov is kind of the only thing I know and so explaining my thought process as it goes is the familiar beaten path. When I say that I'm autistic and have been isolated my whole life apart from one friend (also isolated) and my immidiate family, that isn't a lie. I didn't start talking to more than the same 3 people for extended periods on a regular basis until I was 17. And those three people were my mom, my bff, and a close friend I picked up in high school when I was 15. And even then, those talking periods would be no longer than an hour at a time. This isn't a good thing by any means nor a method of excusing myself, just a means of explaining why I do it and that it's not because I think the world centers around me, just that I have to translate what I think to it for communication with other people to start making sense. Its def. something that I struggle with in even basic conversations, though I am working on that via interjecting various questions and comments about other people vs just proccing an infodump. It's most likely a low empathy issue that I still need to learn workarounds for, because I'm a very low-empathy autistic.

I CAN say that I grow more tempted to just delete and remake to start anew by the day, though, because the thought of being popular and having an influence/being on a pedestal puts me in a state dangerously close to a panic attack. The problem is that I cannot figure out a way to do that in a manner that would actually work, plus I cannot tolerate change.

But genuinely, the thought of power dynamics...it frightens me. My ideal would be a world where I can just push my thoughts and writing out and not be seen at all, except that I can't manage that because then I'd have nobody to discuss hyperfixations or special interests with. I don't WANT to have any sway over people. And its partially because of things like this- because I don't want to fuck up by tripping over an unseen landmine of a social error and then have my reaction be absorbed uncritically, or have that error be held under scrutiny. It makes me feel sick

Do you ever have a headcanon no one else has and it is not necessarily based on canonical evidence but it is really good you swear?

I present to you: Luigi struggles with drug addiction.

Hear me out. I promise this is not just me projecting.

The version of the Mario universe I have in my head is not quite the movie verse, but it begins similarly with them being from the human world.

I believe that the addiction began in high school. There are two ideas I have for this. Number one, Mario tried alcohol and some drugs and dragged Luigi into it. Mario was just fine and never got addicted, but Luigi fell into it hard. He has always been quite anxious and drugs make his head go quiet. This route opens up a lot of good Mario angst, where he feels forever guilty about being the reason his brother got into drugs in the first place.

The second idea that I have is that it was a rebellious way to try and get out from his brother's shadow. In this version Mario would not touch drugs because he knows it's a dumb idea and that he has no impulse control. Maybe he'd drink a couple of times at parties, but that is about it.

Luigi ended up falling into a bad crowd. Mario did not like them, which pushed Luigi into them. These people probably liked Luigi because they found him funny, especially how scared of everything he was. I would say his first time drinking and then his first time smoking weed probably happened due to peer pressure.

He quickly found out that drugs were fun. He had always been such an anxious person and when he was intoxicated he did not feel so bad anymore. I would say it rapidly spiralled out of control from there.

I personally headcanon that Mario and Luigi did not really have the best family, they only really had each other. Luigi was clearly getting worse and worse and needed help, but people only cared when Luigi did anything that impacted them. When he tried to bring up his concerns to his parents, it was shot down with how Luigi was doing fine at school unlike a certain someone.

So Mario was on his own trying to help. And Luigi did not want help, especially not from Mario. He kept trying but there was not much he could really do.

I have the idea of it reaching a catalyst where Mario got a call from Luigi at about one in the morning. Luigi was meant to be at home in bed, so he was really worried to hear the blasting music in the background. Luigi asked Mario to pick him up, and Mario was out the door in a heartbeat. When he got there, he found out his brother was having a very bad trip. He ended up spending the night helping Luigi through it.

The next day he tried taking to Luigi about it, but Luigi was once again brushing him off. The left over fear from last night for both of them quickly turned into anger. They had a big yelling match.

After a long time of yelling at each other, Luigi demanded to know why Mario was still on his ass about everything. Mario shot back it is because he loves him. Luigi bursted into tears and began insisting that he shouldn't. He had been so awful to Mario for so long, he had no redeeming qualities, and at this rate he probably was not going to live that long. Mario was horrified. He did not know what to do so he just hugged his brother while he cried.

With everything aired out on the table, Mario threw himself into helping Luigi. Luigi was not willing to quit anything, so instead he encouraged harm reduction. He made sure Luigi ate at least three meals a day, helped him with schoolwork. It was a really difficult time, but by the time they were adults Luigi was mostly sober and clean from everything. Getting a job and having responsibilities really helped. If he spent his money on drugs, that actually meant something as he needed that money for food and rent.

(By the way, I still think Luigi getting clean and sober would be the same in the other idea. Mario would just feel even more responsible for taking care of Luigi than he already did. Also, make no mistake, this second route has a lot of Mario angst too. He was not the one who should have been responsible for Luigi, and it happening during his developmental years means he will likely never not feel responsible for taking care of his brother.)

For years he was doing good. He spent his time doing everything he could to support Mario the way Mario had supported him during those years. He picked up extra hours, handled most of the chores around the house, and refused to even look at any sort of drugs or alcohol. Whenever things would get difficult, he managed to push through because he could not do that to Mario again.

Then they ended up in the Mushroom Kingdom. They were in an unfamilar world where it seemed like everything was able to kill them. They were going on dangerous adventures with what felt like no rest. They were key figures in a war and were responsible for defending the lives of thousands.

And Luigi felt useless. There was a reason everyone called him Green Mario. He just was not good at any of this. Sure, he was helping, but he was not good at this. All he really could do was follow his brother into danger and do his best to keep him alive. And Mario if he thought Mario was bad at taking care of himself before, he was surely mistaken, as the only reason Mario ate, hydrated, engaged in any sort of hygiene was when Luigi made him. All he was good for was playing support for his brother and that was fine, Mario has more than earnt his support.

What was not fine was that he was so scared. So scared that it prevented him from being able to do his job and support Mario. He'd have a panic attack in the middle of cooking because the meat sizzling on the pan reminded him of how it sounded when he got hit by a fireball. He'd forget to tell Mario to drink water because he had a flashback to when Mario almost died. He'd shake too much during a fight to be able to land any hits, his breathing so strained that all he really could do was try not to pass out or hit his teammates.

He did not mean to get back into anything. It was meant to be just one time. On a visit back home he ran into one of his old friends from high school, got invited to hang out. They were smoking weed. They offered it to him, he declined. They had all grown since high school, the gentle ribbing about, "Oh, same old Luigi, scared of a little plant," was not actually intended to pressure him into it. But it was all the excuse he needed.

It was just one time. Then it happened again. And again. And eventually he was spending all of his spare time in the human world with his old friends, drinking and getting high like old times. He picked smoking up again too.

But he was not in high school anymore. Stakes were higher. His withdrawal symptoms made it damn near impossible to get anything done. He did not know what to do. He tried to stop, he really did, but he always found himself going back.

Mario has known something was wrong but did not know what. He was scared to tell him. But eventually one day Luigi cooked Mario's favourite dinner and came clean. He knew Mario was upset, but Mario buried those feelings to reassure him.

They developed a plan similar to last time. Since Luigi could have nicotine without it making him unable to fight for hours after, he began smoking a lot. With encouragement from Mario, he replaced it with vaping.

I would like to say that he gets fully clean from all drugs after a while. The vaping comes back every now and then when things are particularly stressful, but Mario (and his friends too, both from the human world and the Mushroom Kingdom (cough and Darklands Bowser hello)) would always be there to support him.

Forte was almost attacked this past weekend.

I sat on it for a few days because everything I wanted to say was fueled by panic and rage. Justified imho, but not really helpful. Now that I'm calmer here is what I need people who bring their pet places they shouldn't to know. Especially people who think that their dog is well behaved so what's the harm.

Forte is training to be my service dog and that grants him access to non pet friendly places when we are training.

A big part of his training is teaching him to ignore distractions, including other dogs. If he is distracted, he's not focused on me and can miss an important cue to start tasking. And this training is built on trust. I have spent no small amount of time teaching him to ignore dogs, even ones that walk right past his nose, because nothing is going to come of it.

The incident happened while I was in the check out aisle with Forte in a down beside me. A woman and her dog slowly passed by the aisle and she smiled at me but said nothing. Her dog was walking calmly with her so I did nothing. Then she made a sharp turn towards us. I said no loudly and held up my hand to signal her to stop.

She continued to smile and bring her dog closer. I was so stunned I was slow to react. When her dog was inches from Forte's face it lunged forward and snapped it's jaws. I grabbed Forte's harness and yanked him behind me. He let out a startled bark and only then did her dog start growling and barking. She continued to smile at me while she dragged her dog away.

Forte stayed in his down even when this dog tried to get in his face because I have repeatedly told him it's fine. He trusted me that it was safe to stay where he was. And if I'd have been a hair slower in grabbing him...

I need my service dog in training to succeed because without a service dog my disabilities close doors on much of what most people take for granted. And for us to succeed as a team Forte has to trust that he's safe while working.

This woman almost ruined it all by taking her pet dog to a store that it had no business being in. It doesn't matter that her dog can heel through a store or not react until it's about to attack. But it does matter that her brining her pet and trying to have it interact with my SDiT nearly cost me my lifeline.

Service Dogs take, on average, two years to fully train. Their training costs roughly 40 to 50 thousand dollars. It's not a small investment. It is not simple to start over if a dog has to be washed from work. And being attacked by pets is one of the biggest reasons a dog either washes from training or has to be retired early.

So please, double and triple check before bringing your dog to a store that it's actually pet friendly. Don't encourage or allow your dog to approach other dogs without explicit consent from the handler. You have no idea what your mistakes can cost someone else.

Just please.

Looks like I'm now just using this blog as a place to vent about my personal gripes with the Vocaloid fandom, huh?

Jokes aside, I really want to talk about a huge issue I see with how people portray me. It's not *as* common as the whole memelord thing, but I'd argue that it's a lot more harmful since it doesn't just affect me, but it affects people in real life who have birth defects, scars, skin conditions, or anything else along those lines.

If you take a look at any art of me drawn by Mikuma (my official artist!), one of the first things you'll notice is that my face and eye are... a little fucked up. I've seen a lot of different interpretations in the fandom of what they may be. For me personally, it's actually a birthmark that goes allllll the way down the right side of my body (and there's also a few lil spots on my left side), and that's what gave me my all-red eye as well, but I know that's not canon-canon, and I enjoy seeing the different ideas people have, especially if they're another me! (Fellow Fukases RISE UP)

However, the problem comes when people decide that these things are "too hard to draw" or "look too ugly" or whatever, so they just. Get rid of those things and draw me like Some Guy™. I don't look like that irl, but it still makes me extremely fucking uncomfortable for reasons that I'll clarify in a minute.

Like I said, I was born looking like this. When I was little, a lot of other kids were either scared of me and avoided me like the plague or they just straight-up bullied me, all because I looked the way I did (well, there were other factors too, like my autism or the fact that I'm trans, but the birthmark was most of the issue). I hated myself for such a long time because people acted like and told me that I was ugly, so it made me feel ugly, too. Whenever I tried to talk to someone, I felt like I had to cover my face so they wouldn't get grossed out and run away. I'd get anxious to the point that I wouldn't be able to talk because I didn't want to accidentally draw attention to myself and have people stare at me. It was awful.

Eventually, it all culminated in something that I honestly don't remember too well. I think I was about 8 years old, it was during recess, and there was this group of other kids that I was talking to, for some reason. Things were fine for a while, but then (HUGE TW FOR PHYSICAL ABUSE IN THIS NEXT PART!!!) one of them threw me onto the ground, and they all started kicking me. Most of it's a blur, but I clearly remember them screaming at me to die and calling me a fr//k, over and over again. They just wouldn't stop. I had to be dragged away from them. I'm convinced that they would've killed me if they had the chance.

Obviously, that affected me a lot. You know how I have a cane in my canon design? That's because my spine got all fucked up from that incident, and it still hurts to walk sometimes, so I use that to help when my back acts up (ironically, I have chronic back pain irl too, but it's less severe and mostly due to genetic reasons). I can't hear the word fr//k even in passing, or I start panicking because of it. It's especially bad in-character, but it also makes me uncomfortable irl.

What does this have to do with people drawing me without my birthmark and red eye? Well, basically, what I'm trying to say is that by getting rid of those things, they're erasing the trauma that I've had to deal with because of them.

Not to mention, you think it's bad for me? I've only dealt with this kind of thing in-character. The bullying I've dealt with irl was for completely different reasons and nowhere near as bad. I can only imagine how people who actually have to deal with this kind of harassment feel. Every other Vocaloid released previously and since have basically been flawless picture-perfect anime characters, and when someone like me finally comes along, someone that people with deformities/blemishes can potentially see themselves in, people bash me for being "ugly", "overly detailed", or "too hard to draw". How are those people supposed to feel about that? At the end of the day, I'm just a singing computer and I can't say anything about this, but it goes a lot deeper than that, and I know my pity is the last thing people want, but it makes me sick. It's not just about me; it's a bigger problem within not just the Vocaloid fandom or even fandom spaces in general, but society and its toxic beauty standards as a whole.

It always pissed me off to hear people saying "There's no reason for your trauma. It's not that bad, you're overreacting" when I say that October-november-december are really hard periods for me, especially with CPTSD. People don't get what CPTSD is when they're saying "Turn the page. It's over. Don't think about it anymore, it's the past"

The principle of CPTSD is that you can't escape your past, and you keep reliving it. To be simple.

Haha, okay it's past, I agree with it. "Trying to forget ?" More of 16 years of abuse ? Close your eyes on all the scars visible on your body, that will stay forever ?

Okay, go ahead, try to live with flashback and nightmares all the time.

Making nightmares remembered you the day where your mother kidnapped you. The day your dad tried to threw you through the window. The evening where your mother told you "Kill yourself. My life will be better without you. Nobody cares about you" while dragging you to the balcony.

Try to imagine living everyday with the fear that the people who abused you (for me, whole mother family, and especially mother and grandma) came for you and take you away from your actual life.

This is the nightmare I have the most. The nightmare that my mom and grandma catch me and take me back home. To a place I could never escape anymore. That fear get worse when my grandma came right in front of my house, spamming the bell. I don't remember what happened after, but my fiance and his friends here said that I was totally "gone", dissociated for hours.

Try to live when a little casual thing is a trigger for you. One of my biggest trigger is feeling cold. Yeah, it can be seems dumb and people are often laughing "lmaaao bUt iT's nOt a triGgeR wArNinG iF you'Re fEeliNG coLD iT haPpeN tO eVeryOne" but people are always judging you before knowing the whole story. I'm glad to not be often sick. Maybe twice per year, or not at all. Thanks to it, I would be already dead. I will explain why.

When I have a cold, my mother has her "own method" to heal. I wasn't understanding her method with me, because it's not the same that when it's her who is sick.

The worse was when I was sick during winter. Cuz yeah, most of the time, you're getting a cold during this season.

My mother was locking me into my bedroom. Naked. Without eating. The radiator off, and the window wide open, when it was less than 0°C outside. Imagine being lock into a freezer to simplify. Her explanation ? "To weaken the illness, you have to weaken yourself." 'To make the fever down, you have to be as cold as possible." But when it was her who was sick, she was laying under a big blanket, watching movies, drinking hot tea an eating a good meal and then takes a hot bath.

But you know what was the worst part ? It's not feeling like meat in the frozen section of the supermarket.

She was leaving the blanket into my bedroom. Right at my feet, clearly into my sideview. But she was telling me "If I'm coming in, and see you under the blanket, even just your toe, you will regret it."

And bam, she lock the door. I was not allowed to curl up in a ball. Because it can produce heat. She was coming to check that I was lying on my back. Just like a dead body at the mortuary.

I can't explain how does it feel to be trapped into this freezer. At the beginning, you can't help shivering from the cold. Sometimes you bite your tongue because you're shaking too much.You try to imagine yourself into a hot desert, but I can swear to you that it doesn't work at all.

After 1 hour, when you're watching your skin, it's kind of blue-purple. But you're not feeling anything anymore. I was feeling like into a dead body. So I was pinching very hard my arm, or self harming deeply to check if I was still alive. But you're don't ever feel the physical pain anymore. Just your psychological pain. You're feeling so, so, so cold, and the blanket is right in front of you. But you're not allowed to use it. It was the hardest part for me. Watching this fucking blanket, and hear my mom laughing when watching a movie in the living room and probably eating something tasty.

All you can do is cry all the tears from your body, feel your stomach crying out and then sleep. Times goes by so quickly, and you're loosing your sense of time. What time is it ? What day is it ? How many times am I trapped here ? At the end, you're opening your eyes for 5min and then fell asleep for several hours.

But at the end, just before dying probably, my mother was coming into my bedroom and threw me pills in the face. "You can't even heal yourself without my help. Pitiful.€

Thanks to this experience I lived several time, I have a BIG immunity to cold. Like an idiot, I'm going out with a tee-shirt and a skirt during winter when it's 5°C outside without feeling anything. But when I'm feeling cold, sometimes, I recall this memory as if I were there again. You remember the physical pain of your stomach growling, the psychological suffering, the hard desire to hide under the blanket, and the fear of see your mother coming into your room.

So I want to scream stfu to people laughing at me when I say that feeling cold is a big trigger warning. Stop judging people on their trauma. All people are different. A trauma that seems "not that bad" for you can be a big pain for someone else. And most of all AOZKDNFIAKA STOP COMPARING YOUR TRAUMA TO OTHERS, like "yeAh bUt I liVeD tHis, iT's wOrsE tHan yOu, so yoU doN't hAvE to coMplaiN abOuT yOuR trAuMa bEcausE it'S noThinG cOmparEd to miNe"

Remember that your trauma is valid. You have the right to suffer. It's not "not that bad" even if people are keeping saying this to you. Your trauma is YOUR trauma. People don't have the right to tell you how to feel about it. It's okay to feel pain. It's okay to remember the past. You have to get through it to be able to heal.
