You know what I never see explored?
"Not on MY watch!" Superfan Dash Baxter. The young, limnal, quarterback built like a tank and willing to hit like one.
Because let's be real here. Imagine that scenario: Dash, heading to practice with his Bros. His best friends. The team. When? Oh shit! It's PHANTOM! Best day EVER right?
Except it's NOT.
Somethings wrong. He's not as graceful as he usually is. There is no clever comebacks. He looks beat up, man. What HAPPENED? Everyone looks confused when Dash looks around. But before he can call up to him?
Phantom is Shot Out Of The SKY.
Hits the football field HARD. The entire team is already running. Full sprint. It's those fucking GIW. Already driving onto the field and tearing it up. Jumping out, weapons primed.
Phantom's not... oh god, he's not getting up.
He looks hurt. Really hurt. Those bastards are closing in.
Dash's team? Has his back. They're also fans. Friends of his. Not a single one hesitates. They put their BACKS into it and welcome these sick fucks to Tackle Practice. With a follow up of "Taste Your Own Teeth". Amity special, coach would be proud.
But Dash... fuck, he can't wail on these guys AND protect Phantom at the same time. Kwan tells him to go. Throws him his keys. His car is least shit. Dash owes him SO many pizzas for this. First pick on movies for LIFE, man.
It hurts to leave his team behind. His best friend. But Dash has to GO. He can already hear the Fentons closing in. He grabs Phantom, his HERO, and runs for his life.
Barely manages to peel out of there in time. Floors it. Calls Paulina, obviously. She and Star are doing a spa day thing. She picks up because she KNOWS he wouldn't bother her if it wasn't serious. And-!
Oh...
Oh fuck.
In the rear view mirror. The Fentons and GIW just screeched onto the road behind him. Closing distance FAST. What does he do? Paulina he can't... he WON'T hand Phantom over!
And of course she understands. For God's sake, she in LOVE with the guy. He's never heard her sound so scared and furious. They'll get phantom over her twice dead body. She and Star are making some sort of noises, chanting, and...?
Giant Amazons with swords? GHOST Amazons. Suddenly in the road, jumping over his car to attack the cars behind him. Paulina what the FUCK?? She been talking to her Abuela, APPARENTLY. Who's friends aunt's "roomate" was particularly good at communicating with the dead. So OBVIOUSLY Paulina got her to send notes and studied them in secret.
Gotta be able to speak to you future husband's family in their native language. You win brownie points. Gives her a step up. "Not the point"? It's kind of a point! Giant warrior women! Who-?
Paulina made friends while practicing.
Of course she did. Why is he even REMOTELY surprised she chose the giant terrifying Amazons to be beasties with? He's know her for years. He should know better by now.
.....he feels small asking. Hates that his voice shakes. But... but what do they DO, 'Lina?
What he hates even more is the little shake in his childhood friends voice, even though she's trying to sound certain and strong. What they Do? What they DO is Dash drives his ass the her house, gets in her BETTER car, which she is going to load up, and they leave Amity.
She has LOADS of money. All sorts of jewelry. They're very last season. Frankly, she.. she can't WAIT to pawn them if they have too. They just have to drive. Get Phantom as far away from those freaks as possible. Get help.
And? It could go so many ways from there? Paulina LOVES Phantom. How will she reconcile that with her views on Fenton? How will Dash? Seperated from their roles as "the popular ones" and "the crazy people's son". Knowing that... that Danny likes her TOO.
But she's been AWFUL to him. She said so much. DID so much.
Do the even? LIKE each other? Or just the IDEA of each other? The person they made up in their heads.
They're afraid, tired, on the run. But free from school, the expectations of others, the baked in histories of a small town. Who ARE they as people? Do they like each other? COULD they?
I want to believe that Paulina really means it. That no one is at their best in middle and high school. They say and do stupid, mean, shallow shit. Because the world presses and presses and tells them it's all they are worth. Because they don't know who they ARE yet. Because she is a child. Not yet eighteen.
And Danny isn't perfect either. He saw a pretty, pretty face and got distracted by it. Didn't see how HARD she works. How smart she is. How ambitious and brilliant at reading people.
Are they trying to get to an Embassy? To Paulina's extended Family to the south, who would most certainly take them in, and would gladly fight gods for them? Or is this a crossover? Are they going towards other Heros? Older ones?
Is Paulina planning to pull a Lois Lane and Cause Problems On Purpose? Is Dash HAUNTED by "oh fuck, Wes was right." And now knows he's gonna have just... just WALK UP TO THEM. Broad ass daylight. Like "hello, I clearly know your secret identity! Please don't kill me!"?
Whatever the plan? Danny is in the back row of Paulina's once nice, now beat to hell car, bleeding irresistibly damaging acidic ecto-blood all over the seats. Wrapped up like a mummy. Texting Tucker.
The live tweets from Amity are... An Event. A Spectacle for the ages. His parents KNOW now, have speed run their grief STRAIGHT to RAGE, directed that rage at the GIW, and gone to WAR. Once a Fenton, always a Fenton. Jazz was right. "Anti-ghost" sentience testing once a week DID pay off.
Was it a pain in the ass? Absolutely. But results don't lie. He clearly passed. Is clearly sentient, emotional, and their son. All in hard numbers they ran themselves. Will it stop them attack FULL ghosts? Jazz has no idea. But it sure did convince them to put the GIW in a hole and fill it with concrete.
Danny's getting reports of "you SHOT MY BABY!" Being shouted in public. Sam has decided to channel her frustration at being unable to help him into Full Goth Dramatic Shit Stirring. Non-waterproof mascara, disheveled hair. Clutching a picture of him. Dramatic howling and weeping in the arms of her parents.
Apparently now that he's presumed DEAD, the Mansons ALWAYS loved him. Like a SON to them. A sweet, innocent child. Their daughters friend! The GIW are monsters and child killers, they decry.
And the Red Huntress is... Oh, yikes. Yeah he should call her. Val is one more bad thing happening from her villian origin story. At least she... PROBABLY... has killed anyone yet. Note to self: when Danny can actually move torso again, buy Valerie soothing anti-stress...everything. All the things. She responds to stress by punching. Deliver from safe, non-punchable distance.
All in all? My Dash? Needs more Dash! Give the popular kids a chance to prove they aren't just cardboard cut outs! That they can grow beyond the roles high-school and society has pushed them into! Give them some trauma! Why only Danny? Spread the psychic damage!

Cass joins Team Phantom
So, we all know how Cass escaped her terrible dad at the age of 8 right? And how she is adopted by Batman at the age of 16-17 right? Well, what happened in between that time?
Cass has been on the run for Years now. She is 13, and at this point she has been on the run for nearly half of her entire life. So it's really no wonder that when she finally got to a relatively safe place after weeks of little food, little rest, and constant attacks by her pursuers, she accidentally fell asleep.
She woke up in a nice comfy bed, in a room that looked like an Astronomy Geek's dream. Once the people who found her noticed she was awake, they explained what had happened.
Their son, a boy named Danny, had found her passed out in their Shed the previous day while cleaning up. He had quickly brought her in and offered his Room so she could rest comfortably.
Cass doesn't really trust them, and tries to run more than once, but her weeks of constant exhaustion have finally caught up with her and she is stuck staying with them until she is fit to leave.
And unfortunately for her, the Fentons are very Endearing.
By the time she is healthy enough to leave, she genuinely wants to stay. So they unofficially adopt her, letting her stay in their house and sharing a room with Jazz (Danny did kind of need his room back, and Jazz was a good sister like that)
She ends up going to the same school as Danny and ends up befriending both of his friends, Tucker and Sam.
The day of the Accident, Cass is right there alongside Tucker and Sam as the Portal kills Danny.
After the Accident, she is a great help in teaching him some calming routines and meditation techniques so he can get a handle on his Powers much easier.
They also find out that standing in front of a Portal as it rips reality apart is just as bad as being inside of it. They all end up extremely liminal and get Powers. Tucker has Technomancy, Sam has Plant Powers, and Cass gets Shadow Manipulation (or whatever you think fits her)
She is having the best time of her life, but unfortunately it can't last forever.
About 2 years after the Accident, the GIW get a lucky shot on Danny. They were using one of the inventions the Fenton's had made before the Reveal (which was a good one) one that made Ghost Powers weaker for easier capture. While it didn't hurt Danny too much, it did weaken him enough that he flickered into his Human Form for just long enough for the GIW Agents to see him.
Now with Danny's identity exposed, the GIW could track down the Identities of the Humans who had been helping him all this time, aka, Tucker, Sam, and Cass.
During a Raid on Fenton Works, they all got seperated somehow.
Danny got injured protecting the Team, and had to be rushed to the Ghost Zone by Jazz, a stray shot from the GIW blowing up the Portal behind them. They ended up in the Far Frozen, to get Danny fixed up.
Tucker was arrested and sent to prison for a little while before a glitch in his cells Security System allowed him an opening to use his Powers to escape.
Sam was chased out of the Town by the GIW and ended up in the Forest nearby. She had to use her Powers to run away, disappearing too deep into the Woods for the GIW to follow.
Cass managed to sneak out, and ended up trying to save Tucker on his way to prison. She failed though, and the GIW chased her all the way to New Jersey before loosing her trail.
This is how she ended up in Gotham, and got adopted by Bruce Wayne. But she would never forget her first Family, and would try for years to see if she could find where they ended up.
Potential Part 2? Maybe, I have some ideas...
What do you think?

I'm like losing it over this idea, but!
(And I'm sorry to people in the John Constantine tag who just want Constantine. I feel you, and I'm sorry.)
So, in the John Constantine Hellblazer (2019) by Spurrier and Campbell, and in the current John Constantine Hellblazer: Dead in America (2024), there's a pretty huge, big, important plot point where Constantine has died. Like he for real died. His body's dead. His soul is still occupying his dead body. He's still moving around like he's alive, but his body's rotting. (Spoilers for Dead in America from here, btw)
Tumblr media
Not to get into the plot too much, but for the 2019 run, there's something Constantine promised his soul to when he dies, and to escape that, he astral projected by having someone stop his heart, with the plan to revive it later. And he does get his soul back in his body, but the body's dead.
As of right now (Dead in America #2) we don't know why exactly this happened.
At the end of 2019, we get this:
Tumblr media
Now, mind these panels comes before John realizes he's dead (by like a page or two), but I do straight up love the idea that he's pissed off so many people that no afterlife actually *wants* to take him anymore.
Now, from Dead in America #2, we get this:
Tumblr media
Implying that there's something keeping his soul and body going despite the whole being dead thing. I'm assuming that we'll be told eventually, but no idea yet.
All of that to say this: John Constantine is basically possessing his own dead body, atm. So that means he would fall under the Federal Anti-Ecto Control Acts, right???
All I'm saying is that I love the idea of an entire government organization hunting John Constantine. All I'm saying is that I really, really need to see John Constantine being captured and experimented on by the Drs Fenton.
All I'm saying is that Danny would try to get him out, especially if he was trapped in the Fentons' basement. All I'm saying is that this would be such a perfect set up for some interesting darker fic.
The current run is pretty seperated from all other DC stuff. It's basically just Vertigo comics, just Constantine, Sandman, and Swamp Thing. Which means that if we're fully running this idea, then it's not like there's the Justice League or Batman to come fix things. It's just Danny, John Constantine in his own dead body, his son Noah who is mute, doesn't seem to know american sign, and doesn't know he's John’s son, and Nat, John's "bodyguard" with a hair-trigger temper.
So, yes to a Constantine vivisection/disection, yes to Danny having to run from home bc he's just "stolen" a "government resource", and yes to Danny either having to run off without his friends or tell them and drag them on the run too. Also yes to not just having an easy way to solve the government situation (especially bc John and co are also wanted for murder).
I'm just saying that there's never been a better time to write a darker or angsty Constantine and Danny Phantom crossover.

I like to talk about my fics, so here's a list of my currently uploaded Danny Phantom fics from AO3:
Haunting of A Vivisection: a longer ongoing fic that is slowly expanding on the show and rewriting certain parts. Meant to be read as if episodic like the show. I am currently (at the posting of this) writing the final expansion chapter on Season 1. It has about 30(?) chapters planned, so I have so much to cover and it drifts away from canon and into more story as it goes. Currently has 13 chapters published. Also has a playlist!
Danny Was A Friend Of Mine: based off of The Killer's song, Jenny Was a Friend of Mine. A one off of Haunting of A Vivisection that can be read seperately. Val fully kills Danny by accident.
Note to self: always disinfect ghost bites: Danny gets ghost rabies. Is technically a one off of HOaV. Protective and feral Danny
Cops and Robbers: Ongoing since I haven't written the second chapter. Danny interacting with the APPD. Can fit into HOaV if you squint
Over and Over: Dash and Star accidentally kills Danny, to which he comes back. And they kill him. Over and over. Eldritch Danny vibes.
Necropsy: a vivisection/dissection fic that is biblically accurate. Danny gets captured and cut open. He also embalms himself. I had to pull out my mortuary science textbooks to write this. If you want semi-accurate dissection and medical talk, this is for you.
Whispering Willow: silly goofy Ectoberhaunt fic based off of botonamancy
I Miss You More: hurt/comfort fic for Ectoberhaunt prompt of Haunt. Danny is a supernatural style ghost haunting the house.
Danny Fenton and The Abomination: crack fic based off of a purposefully horrible looking stuffed Danny doll I made for a friend.
your face: Another hurt/comfort fic where Danny doesn't have any memories and is haunting the woods. Graphic descriptions and apparently this one made people cry!

hiii im back again with an old au that i never talked about yes i have an au problem no i will not do anything to solve said problem
This is all copy-pasted from discord, so it is slightly a mess in terms of order of events
this is a adjl/dp crossover au-
Its an idea based on the fic mirrored by Lynse(ITS SO FUCKIN GOOD HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)
HERE IS MIRRORED BY LYNSE, ONCE AGAIN HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ITS A GOOD READ
ALSO! This au is implied for goin/going dragon, although it can be seen as platonic /gen
If you dont like that this isn't the au/post for you
//spoilers for DP and ADJL, implied experimentation and torture( fuck the giw <//3), shock collar(/nsx, again gonna fight the giw), injuries mention
This whole au kinda focuses on Danny healing and Jake and Danny becoming friends and seeing them grow
So this takes place after both their shows and AGIT (a glitch in time), The short description is that Danny is captured by the GIW and goes through alot of shit (they fuckin suck i hate them), one thing including a collar that would shock phantom upon speaking (FUCK THEM WHOLEHEARTEDLY), His phone(for phantom, not fenton, he has seperate phones so people dont figure out his identity), is shattered, and the SIM card is broken(not unfixable, this is important i swear)
The GIW eventually attempt to move Danny from their base near Amity park to new york,
The dragon council catches wind of this(More specifically that they're transporting ghosts), and since ghosts are magical creatures, Jake's given a mission to intercept and free the ghosts being transferred
So he does his job the night of the move, He absolutely wrecks the GIW's vehicle and frees the other ghosts, he also finds the broken remains of phantom's phone(GIW are trying to fix it to access his info smh)
He notices phantom who doesn't seem able to move(injuries + shock), so he yoinks danny and takes em back to his grandpa's work shop
Phantom is fuckin terrified and relieved, hes been kept for weeks bh the GIW and kinda lost his fight(poor bean, he acted really submissive after a lil while being with them, This au genuinely hurts me why do I do this BABNDBS), He doesn't trust jake(which, fair, bro did kinda kidnap him in a way ABBS)
At the shop, They(Jake Fu and Grandpa) Check over injuries(that phantom allows em to see, again not vv trusting of em), and do the best of their ability to clean em up, They deduct that they need to bring Spud the following day to get off the collar
Phantom ends up staying with jake and his family, who were briefed about the situation and were very friendly, He stays with jake in his room because he doesn't want to be alone
The next day Jake has to unfortunately go to school bc that exists, and Phantom's left at their home with jake's parents
Phantom has a breakdown, and Jake's dad hears and comforts him(Literally Jake's dad is the fucking sweetest dad in the show abdbbw)
The break down was about everything that happened, and extreme home sickness
Jake's dad tells Jake about this immediately when he gets home, Jake remembers the phone(it has danny's logo on it, its vv clear whos phone it is BABDB), and asks Fu and his grandpa to repair the SIM card(their shop is an electronic's shop for those who hasn't seen the show)
After, he goes back and gets Phantom and Spud, who quickly disables the collar
The damage is already done though, despite being free of the collar Phantom stays quiet (im gonna cry why dO I DO THIS-)
A few other things planned-
The long family notices that Phantom despite eating a little bit(he cant eat much at a time cause starved n stuff), doesn't seem to be replenished at all, When asked, Phantom tries to avoid the question, but quietly mumbles about how he needs ectoplasm to consume
waaaay later(like a week and a half?), the SIM is fixed, and inserted into a new phone that Jake gifts to Danny, and hes over the moon about it, hes not vocal but hes very expressive
Before danny gets a new phone Spud and Trixie both do a little research into danny phantom and find amity park, alot of the information is blocked until they use a VPN to switch their location to amity park and learn alot, They share this to Jake
They learn about how he's supposedly is the town hero, the times he was public enemy #1 (including an interview danny did with lance thunder explaining every bad circumstance with him, literally none of them were in his control BANND)
They dont do much with the information but I thought it would be nice to include
The next day everyone's out of the house, leaving Phantom home alone, He goes on the couch and with a bated breath, calls Jazz(HO BOY THIS IS A WHOLE OTHER THING I NEED TO TALK ABOUT), Jazz is fuckin worried but Danny fills her in very vaguely on what happened(he mentions he was taken by the giw, no other detail on that part), He tells tucker to track the call so they all can know where the fuck hes at (also fun tid bit, his voice was hoarse and jazz comments on it)
Jake gets back from school and walks in, Hes shocked cause this is the first hes heard phantom actually speak, He overhears Phantom telling jazz that he was taken in and how he thinks their family is really kind and how hes confused on why they're so nice for him, Phantom's really appreciative
The call ends on Phantom promising to call again soon, and that they'd discuss a place to meet once they know exactly where in new york he is
I feel like smth worth mentioning is that Danny has been hiding his secret from the longs as much as possible
Phantom notices Jake after the call ends and very nervously greets em, they probably have a smol chat
So you may be wondering, whats going on in amity park?
Well, after Danny's disappearence, Team phantom are the first to notice and are very worried and concerned, They look around for him
The ghosts soon catch wind after showing up and being informed Danny Phantom has gone missing, His regulars like Skulker, Kitty, Johnny, Ember, etc are very worried, along with his allies, and try to find him through the ghost zone
Other ghosts use this to cause havoc, But Team Phantom and the Red huntress are holding ground and taking care of them in Danny's absence
SPEAKING OF THE RED HUNTRESS, Valarie is a little concerned upon hearing about Phantom's disappearance, Jazz tells her whats happening(shes worried for her brother, shes not really thinking about keeping team phantom's involvement a secret), she also lets it slip that she thinks the GIW has something to do with it
Eventually Team Phantom let her in on the whole secret identity bc they're fucking worried that their friend hasn't been seen in weeks
Eventually they do get that call and its a huge relief
I plan for Danny and them to meet at a park in new york(near where hes at), Jake probably tagging along bc he doesn't want Danny to get lost or anything, Also valarie tells him she wants to talk about everything after hes doing okay and everything is back to normal at the meet up
At some point I also want Danny's secret to be revealed to the long family, they'd 100% take it well
One night (post phone call woth jazz), Jake's dad comes into jake's room to wish Phantom and Jake a good night, But Phantom isnt there
Jake had noticed his window was open earlier but didn't think anything of it until they realize phantom's missing
He opens the window and climbs onto the roof, and finds phantom laying on the roof stargazing, He lays down with em
They're chillin, Jake asked if phantom likes stargazing and he nods
Out of no where Phantom talks about how he wanted to be an astronaut, and they have a soft moment on the roof
Thats everything i have for this au so far ~ Ender/Whisper

Danny Phantom Headcanons
Technically he's 114 because at some point he got blasted 100 years into the past and decided after a day of having no idea what's going on (and figuring out the date) he found a cave and fell asleep and his ghost half was like, I got this and then he woke up at at dark the night before the fight. He incorporeal-ed out of the (now buried) cave and spent the day fully waking himself up (y'know how ghosts are usually at least a hundred years old, well that's because they need sleep and time to adjust to the whole ghost aspect and fully change, the hundred years of sleep made him feel better than he had since about a week after getting his powers, they also gave him a few new powers)
He is paler than he is in human form because death and all
Also he is slightly eldritch and because he is so powerful sometimes he forgets what humans look like and accidentally changes how he looks, he keeps having to ask how many teeth people usually have, or where joints are supposed to be, most of the time he can remember where and how many eyes he's supposed to have.
Also a personal head cannon of mine is that he is truely really eldritch looking in ghost form and uses his powers to make it look more human. (Seperate post: So Tim just stares for a moment and Danny goes visible and reveals a really powerful and definitively not human creatures wrapped up in a blanket and NASA pyjamas. He looks really cute with his hair all messed up and only two out of his fours eyes are open because he's tired.)
His true ghost form is bigger than both his human and ghost forms. In his true ghost form: all of his teeth are sharp and sometimes they stick out form his mouth (his mouth is bigger than it should be on a human), he's limbs are longer, his hands and feet are closer to claws, he has four eyes with no irises and (sometimes) slit pupils, his hair is the same just floaty, he barely ever walks and chooses to float (although he has legs; when he goes into the more ghost like floating one it looks more like a tail of a snake but no scales, it is much longer than in his ghost form and he often finds himself invisible wrapping himself around things he likes.) Probably more I haven't mentioned, creepy and other vibes.
^^^I've changed this, it isn't his true ghost form, just one of his forms
He is much more protective of pretty much everything once he became a half ghost. He has to fight the urge to investigate new arrivals into amity park (HIS town, HIS haunt) and if his family gets hurt it's game over for the villain and he is far less forgiving than if they had simply hurt himself.
The other ghosts and non-humans seemt to realise that amity park is his haunt (esspecially once he becomes the ghost king) so yeah. Once a small fraid needed refugee and they brought him gifts and pormised not to cause trouble, he agreed because he knows it's the right thing to do and also he really loved the gifts.
He has a small haunt in the ghost zone, it is pretty much a small decaying room but he fixed most of it up and added beanbags. He has newspaper pages about himself and/or the fentons and powerful ghost items hes had to fight.
He also has a lot of space stuff because he does't get much time to fulfil that obsession, always busy with his human life or protecting someone
He likes it there and often goes there to deal with more ghostlike urges or to heal if he doesn't want to worry Sam and tucker and others.
^^this is a lair not a haunt, you only have one haunt
Ghosts purr like cats? Hell yeah they do. Danny did it without realising for almost a year before Sam and Tucker pointed it out. They have tid-bits from other animals too, Danny has to fight the urge to steal or buy any shiny and brightly coloured objects, he really loves jewls. He hisses sometimes. This shows especially with ghost speak, it can sound so many different ways, like the whispering around a cursed object in a horror game, or like birds chirping and clicking to one another, it changes.
To him violence is more of fun and game thing, he understands it isn't to regular humans so he avoids it but he find he doesn't harbour grudes where he perhaps should because the violence doesn't seem all that big to him (for example doesn't care too much about Dash, but he HATES Vlad because he is protective and Vlad messed with his family)
He has four ages. For example when he was 15:
As far as the humans around him know, he's 15
Biologically he's 115 because of the long nap
Because of time travel shenanigans with clockwork he has appeared all throughout time so history wise he is as old as time
He's only been a ghost for 1 year so you could say he's one year old
He died when he was 14 so he could be fourteen
The urge to bite to show affection, not like sexually or anything. But bite ankles, legs, arms, and sometimes neck or hands.
Very clingy when tired. (Totally not projecting)
Blushes green with star and planet and comet and ect freckles.
The way into his heart is gifts. He cannot handle grand gestures so this is mainly food and shiny things you'd find on the side of the road then clean. (Paulina and some other girls once found this out. It was shared lunch in school and they got thrown into the ghost zone, Danny found them but was hesitant on inviting them to his haunt because it's his, and so they offer him some of the food because not offering would be rude. Then one of the girls mentions she had some old jewellery where the jewels fell out and was she holds up this bag the sparkles and he says he'll take them and then decides that they can come to his haunt.)
Also psychical touch, head pats, arm holding. He is akin to a cat and cannot fight the instincts to curl up around you and purr.
Autistic. (Also trans)
You know how ghosts and ectoplasm are kinda non-solid and in some cases can be moulded? Well Danny is too. He finds this out because he was in the forests looking at this really pretty butterfly and suddenly the rings come, he freaks out because he wasn't trying to go back to human but then he sees his hand and realises he's still ghost? So he finds a pond and he has beautiful butterfly wings that are black and white and green (the green parts glow!) and antennae! And so he focuses and transforms back to ghost and so he does this a lot now (Danis favourite is this one spiky lizard she found, she had spikes that looked up through her hair, claws and a tail and thought it looked awesome! Dan however only did it once and secretly really like it, he saw a cool glowing mushroom and without realising parts of his human skin disappeared to reveal a soft green glow beneath them)
He loves scaring people but can only do it to assholes because moral compass (so asshole politicians coming home after partially cruel cases, people who are rude to staff at places Danny likes, ect.)
Dan doesn't have a new body. He worked on morals and slowly changed from evil ghost looking to just having really pale skin, white hair, fangs, and red eyes. He loves grey hoodies.
^^^Okay this has changed now that I've read AGIT so I'll update it soon. Pretty much his ghost forms and human forms mix quickly and he only has one form, but when he gets mad he looks like evil dan and if necessary he can manage to look human for a while.
Okay so he does have a human body, he has Dannys clone. But it feels wrong to him, eventually he mixes his two forms, he was white hair that doesn't fire which he keeps tied back in a pony tail but still has a puffy-over-his-face part like Dannys, you know what I mean. He was the build and body of a 30ish year old man who isn't strong, but still works out enough he's not weak. His skin is pale and slightly discoloured but enough to pass as human, this human illusion is absolutely destroyed when you look closer and realise his teeth are sharp (usually just fangs but sometimes all the teeth) and his eyes are red and glow slightly, not to mention the sense of other he radiates. If he gets mad or uses a lot of power he looks like how Dan did originally, buff, fire hair, red eyes, ect. If he absolutely has to look human he can, but it gives him headaches and it feels wrong.
VLAD. HAS. PINK. EYES. LIKE. HIS. POWERS.
Therefore Dans powers are red, not like Vlads pink ones or Dannys green ones, oh yeah and Danis powers are more of a nature green than a toxic green, this changes slowly over time as she begins to become her own person rather than just a clone.
Sams purple eyes (which GLOW sometimes) are the first sign of being ecto-contaminated she gets
Ghosts fight to show affection, Danny and Dani have scared so many people when they straight up stab eachother and arefighting like cats than laugh and hug and complement each other on their skills.
Danny Phantom is the Ancient of Space, Heros, and Protection (with protection and space also being his obsessions). He smells of Ozone and other space-like smells and no one quite understands how, he hums tunes that replicate stars exploding and/or dying, he is truely the embodiment of 'the longer you stare into the void the void stares back' because sometimes people see galaxies in his freckles, nebulas in his eyes, his body disintegrating and reforming in tiny portions, his skin shimmering like star dust, and the longer you stare the more you notice (his crown and regalia, more space stuff, ect).
Jazz is liminal and stronger than most of Amity Park (who are only Ecto-Contaminated in most cases), she can communicate feelings and things that words can't describe with Danny and other dead stronger than most of the other people in Amity as they are weak (compared to her at least) and she also figures out Ghost Speak. She also has constantly barely glowing eyes that go bright when she's really feeling strongly and she hovers a few inches above the ground sometimes on instinct but can't properly fly and while she can't go intangible she can do if it serious danger/full flight or flight response and adrenaline. Her life span will be about 50 years longer than normal and she will become a sentient ghost when she dies although only slightly above average on the power scale, her status as princess and under royal protection of the king himself (Danny) makes up for that.
Danny makes his own grave out of (I chnaged it from a star) ectoplasm which is near impossible to destory, also his rouges and many other ghosts defend it. It doesn't get broken ever because Clockwork also looks over it.
Danny can tell when people write about him and he can change it, nothing ghost writer level, but simple things like:
It's always white hair not grey
Sam and Tucker are always friends not minions or servents
No sacrifices
He doesn't even realise he's doing it, the cultists do though.
Danny just starts speaking in ghost speak. He's tired, it's exam season, there's a new ghost who's a real fruitloop, and it's getting harder to be human as he gets more tired.
He gives an entire speech in ghost speak, but it was on ghosts anyways so Mr Lancer was just impressed
On one of the nights he actually managed to get to sleep he got chased out of the house because he made a noise that no human should truely be able to when his parents tried to wake him up.
Being a ghost is in his nature now and it's getting harder to act normal, especially because he keeps forgetting about ghost empathy and that he really shouldn't know someone's feeling that way.
You know how todlers get teeth when they're two? Halfas do that with fangs (they can kinda of change what their fangs look like, mouth full of sharp teeth, vampire, normal human teeth, ect) but first they need to deal with all their teeth falling out and being replaced with sharp teeth and a jaw strong enough to cut almost every metal, it aches and aches and Danny is so sore.
Finds writing hard because those are solid words, ghost speak (which comes naturally and intuitively to him) is much closer to speaking with your emotions, if it could be called speaking. He had learnt engough english to be able to keep using it (even if he did start using older versions of english sometimes due to them being dead languages) but he had barely learnt to write before becoming a ghost, he can write he just can't really put what he's meaning to say in words.
Low spectrum autism
Has more than two forms but also can change in his seperate forms, for example he can function and look exactly like a normal human in a human form or he can also have fangs, or just a mouth of sharp teeth, and pointy ears.
Dan redemption arc becomes pyscopomp, souls meant to have died and in pain instead of dead he kills, takes a weeks break then uses clockwork to go to the start of the week and work for two weeks, then he has another break week and repeat.
When Danny gets strong emotions the floor freezes below his feet and he glows brighter (and some more stuff)
Green blush
Danny prefers the form of what you see in the cartoons because it's children friendly, and is basically his default form, but when exhausted he reverts to not his true form. The suit is a bit more chunky as there are layers made for radiation protection, it has a radioactive logo instead of his Danny Phantom logo (he chooses to change that normally) and one of the arms suit is blown off, his arm itself has lightning scars up it which to to his neck but thankfully not his face (they carry over to his human form sometimes, depends on his mood and a few other things) and the hand is blackened and charred with the bone showing around the wrist and on some of the fingers, he still feels pain in it and has to wear a compression glove sometimes, mostly in human form.
Danny, ice core, protectors core, space core, this mostly depends on your headcanons and/or the story you place him in.
Dani, water core (prefers fresh water and the life within it but can make and/or control water as saltly as her soul) she also has control of weather like Danny did for that one episode (loves making tropical rainstorms in the middle of the ocean). Dani gets droplets of water on her skin like condensation like how sometimes Dannys skin freezes over.
Dan, fire core, but cold fire, the type that burns because it's too cold, the type that makes you think your safe but is burning you, he also has a little control over lightning and storms, if he tries really hard he can make them go away but they also come naturally when he's mad or angry
Jazz not liminal enough to have a full core but her liminal-ness allows her to be able to understand ghost speak, hear and feel other people cores, ghost empathy (not to mention floating an inch of the ground sometimes, eyes flashing or glowing and reflecting light in ways humans shouldn't, too many teeth sometimes, just a little wrong)
Most strong emotions result in Dannys: eyes glowing brighter, body glowing brighter, starts speaking in ghost speak (either from emotions getting hold of him and him wanting to rant or English not being able to capture what he's saying right or being beside himself with rage or ect), floats off the ground a little, ground freezing around him and everything he touches,
Strong emotions like hopelessness and giving up result in: eyes going dim and being almost blue, the light he glows with flickering like a drowning torch, speaking in a mix of ghost speak and English but keeps tripping over his words (if he can talk at all, screaming, sobbing, speechless, ect), probably can't fly, frost and cold leaks out of him he can't control it his environment goes subzero and gives anyone who touches his ice gets echos of what he's feeling also the ice is dangerous instead of just cold dangerous
Ghost instincts
By the time Danny gets his apartment, he has labels all his foods, there are two major labels. If you look in his cupboards you will find half of his stuff is labeled norm which is written on white tape, and the other half have the word ecto on green tape, these are what 'species' the food is safe to eat for, norm meaning humans and ecto meaning ghosts (even though ghost can eat human food there's no need for the confusion of having ecto on all the human stuff, if ecto was a spice imagine this as levels of spice safe for different species, anyone can eat the bottom). There are a few smaller groups like Liminals need some ecto but can't have just straight ecto, so some containers have Liminal labels next to the ecto labels; there are also Contaminated labels people for ecto contaminated who can eat things a decently more contaminated than liminals can; those are all that really matter because halfas can eat just as much ecto as ghosts. There's also a white board in his room which he writes reminders on, there is a big sentence in the middle reminding everyone to eat both their daily needs of ecto and human food.
Ecto contaminated
People who've been around ecto, whether in a lab like Maddie and Jack or simply been around a lot of ghiost attacks like the entirety of Amity Park. There aren't really any side effects (none obvious ones anyways) apart from the fact that your used to ecto; eating some won't kill you even if it's not good, you don't get weirded out by ghosts, liminals, or death touched that aren't quite human anymore, and ghosts in general seem just a little more intuitive.
Liminal
Liminals are a step up from ecto contaminated, people who have contact with ecto often like Jazz, Maddie and Jack were wearing hazmat suits which were just enough to keep them from becoming liminal. Side effects of liminals are: eyes that relfect light like cats and sometimes glow, unconsciously floating a few inches above the ground, needing to have just a little ecto (one meal of ecto contaminated food every week works if they can't be in a place with enough ambient ecto), live longer and age slower, they have weak cores that can have their colours (Jazz is orange) but they can't have core types, pointy ears and sharp teeth occasionally. Ther are also personal side effects, you can have a lot or a little of these, Jazz gets ghost empathy for example as she wants to be a therapist.
Death touched (Sam and Tucker)
Death touched are like liminals, but closer to being a halfa than just a strange human. You can't be both a liminal and a death touched, it's one or the other. Death touched happen because they came close to death, this can happen in multiple ways, someone might kills thousands of people or be so surrounded by death (even if they didn't cause it) that they become a death touched. Death touched can also be created by coming close to death themselves, maybe they nearly die (or do die) but are miraculously saved or brought back, a stab victim somehow surviving, someone's heartbeat brought back at the last possible moment; they can also survive, an acrobat who hesitated and didn't grab the broken equipment, a rock climber who managed to grab another rock and stop themselves from falling to their death, things like that create a death touched. Sam and Tucker are Death Touched because of being so close to Danny and nearly getting killed so many times because of it, Sam decided Danny would go in the portal first, the events of Undergrowth and Freakshow and Dan. Death touched have powers, they can use basic ghost powers like intangibility, flight, invisibility, ectoblasts, but it takes a lot of effort and it's hard to train, they also have stronger personal powers which are normal ghost strength rather than weak (Sam can control plants, Tucker's a technopath and can summon sand because of the whole reincarnation thing), they have weak cores but their cores can have types and colours (Sams core is a dark purple plant core).
Halfa
We all know what halfas are, like any 'levels' of ghosts they can be more or less powerful, they also died in a ghost portal or somewhere else where they were blasted with ecto as they died (they can also just half die or be revived wrong, but portals are the main reason). The basic thing is: they have both human and ghost stuff equally, a liminal might need to have some ecto to be alright ad be able to mainly eat human food but a halfa would need a normal amount of both, or humans need to breath or have a pulse but they don't have too and can silence their cores (and therefore ecto signatures) to levels that would kill a ghost, they have both obsessions (a ghost need) and need to have social contact (a human thing), this can differ depending on your head canons/which au this is in and which halfa we're talking about but that's the basics.
Ghost (ember)
Write stuff here! Died and became a ghost, not much to it, more powerful ghost can leave the ghost zone, everyone becomes a ghost, a ghosts memory or their human life can range from none to every detail, etc.
Neverdeads (clockwork)
Write stuff here! Ghosts who never died and kinda just popped into existence or were born, never died but are ghosts.
While Danny died to electricity, he also had radiation and ectoplasm (all three of which killed him and then revived him (the electrify doing most of the killing the the ectoplasm most of the reviving)) and Danny did not in fact pass out, he was stuck in limbo for 5ish minutes then fell to the ground, arm charred and with Lichtenberg scars, while puking a mix of ectoplasm, blood, and the stuff he'd eaten and drank the last day.
True ghost form has black scalera (the white part of eye) and he changes it for kids to be lest scared
A haunt
A ghosts territory, theirs to protect/rule/dictate depending on the ghost. Like Danny and Amity Park.
A lair
A ghosts house, it might not necessarily be their haunt even though sometimes it is. Overall it's like a second haunt, but only for them, it's almost always in the ghost zone. Like Skulkers island or Clockworks tower, or Pariahs castle/keep (even if technically it's the high kings). Danny doesn't have one yet but I'd imagine he gets one shortly after accepting he's the ghost king.
A nest
Almost like a bed, either in a ghosts lair or their haunt. It's almost always just one room (often a bedroom), it's a place to be comfortable, to be theirs, where a ghost will feel the most safe. I can't think of an example for this.

Hi!
I (finally, don't know what took me so long) read Face to Face, and just, wow. I left a comment on the fic itself but I wanted to send something here too!
I was definitely surprised that they told Jack & Maddie so early in the fic, since that's usually part of the end of the fic, but I absolutely love the way you did it. Danny (both of him) having his family supporting him for most of the split is definitely better than him trying to figure it out himself.
Also very impressed by all the things you touched on! I know it would be easier to have them resolve a lot of the problems quickly, but them having setbacks (especially almost merging and failing) makes it so much more real.
I was a little worried you were just going to forget about them almost merging, to be completely honest. Should have known better. The way you brought it up when they finally told Jack & Maddie what happened was perfect. Poor all of them, really, working on/waiting for the ghost catcher without realizing they could merge on their own.
I love the way Danny has to accept himself- not just his ghost half, or his human half, but both of them together, to become whole again. Especially because it wasn't just something stated and accepted- they tried, twice, to merge but couldn't because they hadn't accepted themselves.
All the stuff with sharing memories and thoughts and occasionally using eachother's bodies is a fascinating concept. I wonder how Danny will deal with having two sets of memories from that week?
I read a comment on Ao3 that mentioned him learning to duplicate faster because of this, and I think it would be hilarious if he did it in the middle of a fight accidentally. Can see him panicking for a few seconds that they separated again before realizing he's still fine. Would duplicates be mindless? I know that's how most fics write them, though I think it would be more interesting if it was a situation they're both fully Danny, but other than that it's the same as when they were separate.
Imagine him working on homework the way they would when there were two of them and then just fusing back afterwards. I'd bet that it would be a little disorienting to not be in two places at once anymore, even if it's definitely a good thing. Maybe someone walks in on them doing homework or playing games or something idk and also freaks out a bit, that could be funny. There are so many things he could use it for.
There's more I could talk about, but this is pretty long already:). Can't wait to see more of Face to Face, and how our (now whole!) halfa reacts when he wakes up.
Link to the story at the end.
Thank you so much for reading! I saw your comment on the fic earlier. :)
Honestly, when I had the Dannys tell Jack and Maddie, I wasn't anticipating there to be so much story after. 😂 At that point, I knew that I wanted the boys' relationship with their parents to improve and for both halves to love and fully accept themselves. I guess I didn't realize how many chapters that would take.
But yeah, having Jack and Maddie in the know from early on definitely made things earlier on the Dannys. It also let me write a bunch of post-reveal content that was super nice.
And the sets backs! I loved making those emotional arcs more realistic. Healing takes a lot of time and is complicated. So it takes time for those conflicts to resolve and relationships to heal.
XD I think several people thought I was going to forget about the failed merge but bringing it up again was always in the plan. I couldn't have the Dannys remember until they were ready. I almost feel bad for all the stress and drama related to the Ghost Catcher.
Face to Face is a bit of an unconventional love story. Using split Danny to explore the idea of loving and forgiving yourself has been so exciting for me. I've talked about it a bit in other posts but before I started writing this story, I read pretty much all of the split Danny/ seperate Fenton and Phantom content that exists. A few stories touched on the themes I wanted (Here's a post I made listing a bunch of those fics.) but nothing dug as deep as I really wanted. So I wrote it myself.
Shenanigans with having two bodies was really fun to play with! I love love the mind-bending strangeness. And memories are so important to who someone is and how they experience the world. It ties into those identity questions I love to wrest with in fiction. As for how the whole Danny deals with two sets of memories, I'm planning on addressing that in the last few chapters. :)
And duplication shenanigans! I'm really tempted to write a tie-in one shot. And probably will eventually.... 😅
I'm also imagining it happening during a fight. Danny will definitely be confused and freaked out for a bit, before realizes he didn't actually split again. Danny has had so much experience existing in two bodies at once that his duplicates definitely wouldn't be mindless. He would probably have no idea which body is the original and which is the duplicate. Not that it actually maters, both are just him.
He'll definitely practice and use the skill to work on homework and talk about his problems. I can see that freaking people out. 😂 Granted, being in two bodies probably isn't the most comfortable for him and it does take some energy to maintain. So Danny can't do it all the time. But he's cool with it, since he can fuse back whenever he wants.
Thanks for the comment and ask again! I'm always happy to talk about Face to Face. If you have anymore thoughts or questions, I'd love to hear them!

Phantom’s A Menace - PhannieMay - Day 17 Seance
Summary: Don’t try to communicate with ghosts, kids. You don’t know who’s on the other line.
Warning: discussions of Dan’s actions, mild attempted murder
“Dude, how’d you even get this?”
“Snuck it from one of my parents' bags”
“Dude, you are in so much shit”
“Oh, who cares? How could any parent keep a freaking crystal ball that can actually communicate with the dead, and expect their kid not to fiddle with it”, both Tucker and Danny nod at her. She had a damn good point and Danny doesn’t really care that his parents claimed doing this was dangerous; especially for a Fenton.
Danny shrugs, “and you’d think, with the amount they go off about ghosts, they’d want me interested in this stuff”. Both his friends nod as they set up the weird green ball in the centre of the basement floor. Surrounded by old books and various charms, all things the Fenton family had been using for ghost communication, divination and psychic wonders for generations.
Of course, Danny’s going to play the part of the medium, with his family heritage and all. Plus, even though Sam loved all things spooky, she didn’t appear to have any gifts. Which were kind of needed here. Danny’s ghost sight was his, able to make green light glow around the edges of his blue irises, easily seeing any ghosts around.
Danny shakes his head as he lights the Sage, slightly annoyed that they’re out of lavender but there’s no way he’d get another chance to fuck around with the Zone Crystal. While Sam lights purple and green swirled candles, she did always get a kick out of her second favourite colour representing spirit, and green was her third favourite colour.
Sitting around the crystal ball, Danny goes to touch it, all three jerking a bit at green energy zapping out to meet his fingers, “damn dude! If you showed that at school literally, no one would think this was all hack job shit anymore”.
Danny just rolls his eyes, sure the heckling and jeering was annoying but he didn’t exactly care. Placing his hand on the crystal and rubbing them around slightly, because of his Fenton genes he didn’t really have to bother with words; any ghosts would simply be drawn by his spiritual essence. Apparently, the smell and feel of it was extremely alluring to ghosts.
Sam and Tucker had seen their friend form a link with ghosts before, heck, he did it somewhat often. Able to let them talk through him but still very much the one in control. The reason this was different, a full seance with his parents' most powerful creation, was the goal of flat-out possession; instead of just linking. The ghost would be in control and they’d actually be able to see what the ghost looked like, Its form layering transparent over their friend's body. Hence why they needed all the herbs on the ground and circle of candles, a ghost barrier, should this ghost attempt to take their friend for a joyride.
The two of them really don’t care about the lack of lavender, sure there are evil ghosts and powerful ones but from what they’ve seen, getting those ones was hard as hell; so getting one now would be one serious case of major bad luck.
—In the Ghost Zone—
A large black and white ghost creaks against his chains. White flaming hair lighting up the chamber far brighter than his glow alone could. The name “Phantom” could be read, scrawled in ghost speak, above the sealed closed door to his keep. Sealed and chained away here centuries ago for bringing Hell on Earth and the near obliteration of all life and death. Having earned him the nicknames, All Death, Ender, and The Consumption. Sure, there were probably more, but what did he care what mortals called him. Some revered him as a force of nature itself, a personification or god of death. Most just feared him as a ghost with too much power, banding together to contain him and his destruction. Seals rendering him unable to access his power and chains to bind him to his keep.
But today was a different day, he can tell. Smirking and laughing as he watches soft purple energy vapour, the kind that reeks of a human spirit, coils in under the massive black oak doors. He can tell, as he watches the succulent smelling vapour float through the air, whoever this is tied to, they are young but almost startlingly strong in spirit.
Laughing ominously, fangs fully bared as the vapour coils around the chains, his cuffs and eventually him. Phantom won’t deny feeling impressed, as the chains groan under the force this vapour carries. Strength is one of few things he actually respects and, as his bindings shatter, freedom is a gift he’ll respect some too.
Though firmly not impressed as the vapour does coil around him now, yanking at him to go with it. Someone having the audacity to call on him or pull him to them, was both impressively gutsy and infuriatingly stuck up. But without his power, he could not deny the pull, and he’s more than a little interested to see what human shattered his binds.
His form turning to cruel white and black smoke as the purple spirit vapour pulls him along, out into the human world; his favourite playground of death.
—In the Fenton basement—
Sam and Tucker officially think they might have fucked up, and that bad luck was definitely real, as they see red glowing eyes layer over their friends, rimmed with glowing green, blue ones. Red eyes almost always signifies that the ghost had killed someone or multiple someone’s.
Watching as the black and white swirling smoke starts to take a more solid form around their friend, who’s definitely frowning now; bad sign for sure.
Everyone just sits for a bit, as the two take in the hunched over, but clearly massive and muscular, caped ghosts. Blue-green skin, pointed ears, flaming hair and sharp claws; the two elect to scoot outside of the barrier as it smiles sharp fangs at them, reeking of malice. Danny himself, sees him standing in front of him inside his spirit realm. A place inside himself, only accessible through practice...or a stunt like this. Both him and the ghost nothing more than their spiritual or ghostly essences here. The ghost cackles, “well, I’ve always been inevitable. But this! Well, this is simply luck. I’d say thanks for freeing me and the vessel, but I don’t work like that”. Danny knows for sure he fucked up, as the ghost lunges at him; over taking control of his body. As his name rattles in Danny’s head as soon as their two essences make contact, Phantom.
Phantom stands himself and the boy’s body up, chuckling as his eyes catch the sight of the sage, “forgot the lavender, huh? Now that’s just dumb”. Cackling as the two humans grab at charms and flick their eyes to the barrier they’ve built. He knows full well that’s not going to work on him, having a vessel means he can simply channel his powers through the boy.
Smirking wide as he pulls back his head before releasing his ghostly wail; obliterating the barrier and shattering the charms. But collapsing to the ground as something is wrong, while white energy zaps across him and the boy’s body, before compacting and solidifying into a white ring causing a massive explosion of pure energy.
Sam and Tucker throw their hands over their eyes at the assault of insanely bright white light. Tucker muttering, “oh man, we are so fucked”.
Sam’s the first to notice their unconscious friend, running up him and realising they really really fucked up. Tucker walks up beside her and pokes Danny before talking, “what the hell?”. Both them kneel down at his sides as he groans in an echoy voice. Helping him sit up, “Danny, dude, I, uh, think you should look at yourself. Just what the hell man?”.
Danny doesn’t like the slight quivering in his friends' voice, but he gets why as he takes the guy’s advice. Taking in the black jumpsuit and white belt, yanking his hands in front of his face to see white gloves and more muscular arms. He looks like the ghost, like Phantom, but not quite right. Patting at his hair to find it’s still hair, not flames, “well, what the fuck?”.
Both his friends just nod at him, but flinch as he jerks, hearing a voice in his head, “fuck is right child. But I can work with this”.
Ignoring his friend's worried glances and closing his eyes, he pokes around his spiritual self. Promptly sensing and sort of seeing a strange white chain connected from his spiritual self to Phantoms, very pissed off looking, self; connected together from the centre of their chests. Focusing on his spiritual self to make things more in focus, as Phantom growls at him.
Glaring at the ghost, “what did you do to me?”. Phantom rolls his eyes, “it would seem my seal had something of a failsafe. So I’m not going anywhere and neither are you”. Danny doesn’t even have a chance to fight back as Phantom lunges at him for control again. But this time Danny can feel his eyes lighting up and doing something new, zapping the high hell out of Phantoms essence.
Snapping his eyes open as Tucker pokes at him, “dude, you ok? At all? And this is the strangest way to have a growth spurt”. Looking over his hands again, before looking back to his friend, “maybe? My essence is chained to Phantoms. I think we’re like fused or something”. Sam looks a bit impressed actually, “while that’s kind of cool, I think he’s evil or something. Pretty sure he was intending to kill us”. Tucker nods and points at the obliterated herbs, “scary strong. Is that even supposed to be possible?”.
Danny looks around and hell no it shouldn’t be. Jerking a bit as he hears growling in his head, before a very cocky sounding Phantom informs him, “won’t work on me, human. What're some flowers going to do in the face of All Death”. Frowning some, “yeah I don’t like the sounds of that”. Which just confuses the hell out of his friends.
Rubbing his neck, “pretty sure this guy’s more than just bad news. I think he just called himself “All Death”. Whatever that means”. Sam raises her eyebrow, “first, nice fangs. Second, can you hear him in your head or something? Makes sense but otherwise, that comment makes no sense”. Danny nods as he rubs his tongue over his teeth, not as long as Phantoms but still. All the while ignoring the slightly insulted growling in his head. And he also ignores the cruel laughing as he starts flailing his hands around and floating.
Sam and Tucker grab at his hands, both gaping. Tucker chuckles awkwardly, “dude, fused might be the right word. Fucking ghost powers or some shit”. Before both yelp and let go of him after getting zapped by green energy. “Shit sorry, I don’t think I’m the one who did that though”. Both them glare at him but feel a little worried at the flash of red glow in his eyes, officially worried this ghost can randomly control their friend.
But all of them yelp as a ring of light suddenly appears and Danny falls on his ass, human again.
Danny looks over his hands, utterly confused because he can tell Phantom is very much still here.
Meanwhile, Phantom grumbles and throws his hands up. Knowing damn well he’s trapped in this boy, bound to him. He wouldn’t care that much if he could easily control the boy. But it would seem that his seal, the core chain, and the boy’s natural ghost gift; were enough to trump Phantoms raw power. Not completely of course, but now he’d have to settle for coaxing the boy into becoming like him just so he could play. And of course, if this damn human got destroyed while they were bound, he’d be destroyed too.
Danny goes to grab at some of the older books his parents have. They’ve documented lots of ghosts and ghost lore, so maybe Phantom’s in one. His friends quickly catching on and joining him, muttering at them, “I’m still fucked up just so you know, and I’ve got a gut feeling I’m gonna be staying so”.
Both of them nod awkwardly, before Tucker starts aggressively jabbing at the notebook he’s holding, shoving it at Danny, “dude, more than fucked up. Way more”.
Taking the book and seeing the shadowy side profile drawing of a flaming haired face baring it’s fangs, sticking out a forked tongue and holding up a curled clawed hand. Muttering to himself, “that’s Phantom alright”, reading the page title as “The Consumption”. Shaking his head, “and that’s just ominous”.
Reading the page:
Picture above: The One Who Consumes
The Consumption was a great plague of death, suffering and destruction; happening in the Time Before. Known to be brought about by a creature assumed to be a ghost but whom possessed powers beyond anything else. Capable of destroying any and all anti-ghost devices, fail-safes, or shields; with Its voice alone. Considered something forged of Hell’s fire and ice, burning and freezing everything as It raged against both the living and dead. Most of both species were annihilated, largely destroyed directly by The One Who Consumes explicitly. Multiple accounts of It ripping people to shreds or parading around corpses attests to that.
The Consumption was brought to an end through mysterious means, all that is known is that It was sealed away by a Bound(1), who gave up their existences to do so.
For The One Who Consumes: see The Book Of Null.
Danny breathes out, “oh shit”, as Tucker nods and Sam takes the book. Danny winces as barely visible mental scenes get shoved at him alongside muffled cackling. He can barely make out what’s going on in scenes but it’s more than enough and clearly from Phantoms point of view. Gagging a bit and shaking himself off, before grabbing the books referenced for Bound and more on The One Who Consumes.
Sam shivers a bit after reading the passage, this thing was inside her friend and It apparently couldn’t get out. Sure, that’s probably better for the world or whatever, since Danny’s clearly the one in control here: but still. Hearing Danny groan as he walks back to them, one dark grey book under his arm and reading from a read one. “Alright so I am definitely fucked up”, they both look to the page as Danny tosses it down and taps on the page, reading Bounds. Danny groans again, “a ghost and human bound together through various means. Which means me. The light chain thing is listed as a Core Chain. Notice the whole impossible to break without mutual destruction tag? Yeah, fuck me”.
“Well, the powers are neat. And from the sounds of it they’re strong as hell. Learn to use that shit man”, Danny gapes at Tucker. Tapping on his own head, “Tuck, I have a mass murdering monster inside my head. And I’m pretty sure he can exert control over me if he really tries, at least with my body the way it was before”. Tucker waves him off, “then treat him like a poorly trained dog, a murdering psycho evil dog”. Danny can’t help but laugh at that, especially at the, definitely insulted sounding, muffled growling, “well, he does growl a lot, though he is harder to hear now that I’m normal again”.
“Insolent child”. Danny rolls his eyes muttering as he flips through The Book Of Null, “what are gonna do? Waste me? What happens to you then?”.
“You don’t get it, do ya. I’m still here, I still exist. That means the world still has to deal with me, and so do you”. Danny scrunches his eyebrows up, a bit worried at that. Clearly, this prick likes being an ominous bastard.
Tucker jabs him, “I’d say, you tell him, but I have half a conversation here”. Sam shakes her head, “pretty sure insulting a powerful monster is a dumb idea”. Danny knows she’s got a point, especially as he reads Phantoms entry. Even if it’s under a different, and more wordy, name, it’s clearly him. It’s also clear that Phantom enjoys hearing or reading about himself, and others reactions to him, as his muffled laughter bounces around the back of Danny’s head.
The One Who Consumes
Also know as Ender and The Consumption
A creature with the trappings of a ghost, may or may not actually be a ghost. Capable of destabilising any ghost and functionally immune to all things anti-ghost. Its abilities are largely unknown but, due to Its tendency to show off, many have been documented. It is known to possess all the regular ghost abilities with extreme skill, absolute form manipulation, fire, ice and ectoplasm manipulation, and Its highly destructive Wail. It is classified as an immortal due to Its overwhelming nature.
Its personality is known to be callous, sadistic and manipulative. Fully capable of pretending to be human or friendly, but It's not able to keep this farce up for long. Mostly out of getting annoyed or wanting to show off. It’s highly egotistical and often downright petty.
It is currently sealed away in an unknown location and it is unknown if It even still exists. Under no circumstances should anyone attempt to communicate with, locate, free, help, be in the same place as, or try to fight; this creature. Unless it should become free again.
Danny, coughing a bit, “well, um, we did all of that”. Sam and Tucker shake their heads, “this is one hell of an accidental fuck up”. Danny just nods as his eyes flicker green slightly, spotting the ghost that just randomly showed up. Groaning, “ugh”, and pointing his thumb at the ghost, “what now?”. Hearing chuckling in his head, “don’t you know? My aura’s quite enticing to ghosts of an...unpleasant persuasion”.
Noticing the red eyes and groaning, turning to his friends, “there’s an unfriendly and this asshole just told me he basically attracts them”. Tucker shakes his head, “wow, this keeps getting more fucked”. Danny can’t help but agree as he yanks his friends out of the ghost's path and can feel his ghost poking at him or something.
Clueing in pretty quickly as the ring thing appears again, yelping a little, while Tucker borderline shouts at him, “just roll with it and, I don’t know, kick ghost ass!”. Obviously, they can see his confusion as he starts floating again, Sam sticks her arms out at him, “ghost powers you idiot”.
Sam winces a bit at the red flash in Danny’s eyes, obviously, the monster guy has more influence or whatever when Danny’s like this. But Danny’s a determined bastard so she’s sure he’ll be fine. Watching as Danny pretty well gets decked by something invisible, though officially not invisible now. Then hearing Danny hiss a little before blasting It in the face with an ectoray, eyes more red than green.
While Danny appreciates not getting his ass kicked, he doesn’t appreciate practically be forced to stab someone, even a ghost someone. “Clawless, how weak. Still rather amusing, don’t worry, you learn to love it”.
Danny grits out, “not gonna happen”, as he kicks the ghost away from him. Not really sure how the heck to use these powers or whatever. Which he’s getting mocked for, “oh I’ll meddle again, plenty actually. While you go about stumbling through your pathetic human childhood”.
Jerking as Phantom moves his arm, yanking the ghost back over with green ectoplasm rope or something. Grabbing the ghosts face and dragging it across the ground, somehow blocking the other ghosts ability to become intangible. Danny yanks his hand off the ghost only for Phantom to blast It with his other hand, talking though Danny’s mouth, “I suppose I could let you live for amusing me, but I don’t work like that”.
Danny can feel Phantoms annoyance at the ghost disappearing inside one of his parents capture cubes, letting Phantom land his, their?, feet on the ground as he tries to figure out how to change back before Phantom does something fucked up.
Tucker is just flat out excited, “Danny dude! That was awesome!”. But promptly gets the crap scared out of him as Danny snaps his head, but not his body, around, “actually, that was me”. Before the light ring comes out of nowhere, changing Danny back.
Danny yells a little bit before spinning his head back around, “okay, that was fucked”. Sam and Tucker just nod as they help him stand back up, “okay, so obviously we’re all gonna have to watch for evil asshole randomly overtaking you. But uh, ghost fighting man”.
Danny glances at Tucker, “yeah, no shit. But since this piece of shit is just going to draw more like that here then yeah, I guess ghost fighting”. Snickering a bit hollowly, “god this is like the cliche superhero with a dark side, fucking hell”.
Tucker jabs him, “more like dark half, dude. But hey, it’s three against one so you’ll be good”.
“A pack of humans, yeah those two will sure be useful” Danny opts to just ignore him, but it seems like he’s not really going to shut up, “I'm quite the guy, you’ll find. They’ll be mine too. They’ll follow you and you, well, corruption always gets its way. It’s all a matter of time”.
Danny tries to mentally glare at him, but just gets cackling in return.
End.

What are your thoughts on Easton Weston, the supposedly psychic eldest Weston son, & Flynn Walker, the Phandom's rewrite of Hartmen's Flynn Fenton, Ghost Zone hermit, & the lost son of Danny's aunt, Alicia Walker?
For that matter, what do you think of the idea of the au where Warden Walker turns out to be Maddie Fenton's father?
i'm down with whatever. just in general though i find the fact that we're collectively making an extended universe for danny phantom beyond canon. that we just agree on these things enough to establish fandom characters, it's FASINATING. it's just so interesting that we as a collective, a group of people who don't personally know eachother, thousands of people, decided to just adopt wes weston as a character to the point where people coming into this fandom are confused when they see him, because they don't remember his characters.
and then we did it again. i was there for the formation of easton and kyle. it was purely a hey these background characters look like they could be related to wes. and a seperate post was like 'what if we had a charcter who just didn't believe in ghosts despite living in amity. and it was decided lets make him wes's brother. and everyone was like Yeah! and now it's a thing. easton came along after and i don't remember the specifics right now but i'm pretty sure the post is on our blog somewhere. and it was essentially, wouldn't it be funny if the third brother, misunderstood wes's ghost obsession and was actively hiding being part ghost/ psychic from his brother. especially when wes gets accused of being phantom. just a whole narrative sprang up and i love it so much. i love that we as a community are down to yes and each other
flynn was a similar collective thing. where butch initially introduced the character. and we all collectively went "i see your idea but seeing as that's stupid, we're going to do it ourselves and better. like the fenton's losing a son to the first portal and just continuing to build it and never mentioning said son again. jazz and danny never bringing their presumed dead bother up through all the various trauma and presented opportunities to talk about it. bad writing. bad character writing too because it makes everyone involved look like monsters. a cousin, the child of a character that's already established as existing and someone we aren't likely to know or hear about, getting sucked into a natural portal. better.
the drama and intrigue of flynn as a character is so much better if he isn't their brother. the family implications for alicia who got divorced from her husband, presumably partially because her kid went missing and that kind of thing is rough on a family. the implication that ghosts stole a family member being why the fenton parents have it out for ghosts, because they were their through that greif even though it wasn't their kid. the protectiveness we sometimes see when it comes to protecting their kids from ghosts. excellent. the fact that flynn is a human living in the ghost zone. the only human and the loneliness on top of survival skills he would need to develop to make it through that situation. fascinating. i want more of that. giving that human a way back to the real world through danny and just all the potential drama that would bring. yesssss. hell yes. danny and him having a philosophical parallel of not really belonging in either world. the talks of being to ghost to be human, but to human to be ghosts. flynn just having a breadth of knowledge on ghosts and the zone and survival but having no idea how to use money or a computer. the reuniting of him and his mother. the talks of ecto-contamination and the questions of how human flynn is after living in the zone for so long. the implications that might have for danny watching people react to flynn. flynn also being a possible mentor and older brother figure for danny, but his bad habits and hatred of ghosts leaking through and causing issues.
just ahhh i love stories and story telling and all these characters are great for that.
as for maddie and alecia being related to walker. weird coincidence but i'm down with that too because it's interesting to see where that goes. do they recognize their father? does he recognize them. is walker a more distant relative. i'm here for drama, y'all - Hestia

So since I'm very bad at remembering my ideas, I'm gonna throw this out there and hope one day I'm like "WAIT didn't I have an idea for a fic??? What was it???" And I will find it on my tumblr.
It's about Danny Phantom, obviously.
There are actually two of them in here so:
The easiest one: Jack and Maddie are not stupid. I mean they're scientists, the use the scientific method. One of the things about the scientific method is that if you do a bunch of tests, based on an hypothesis and only one of them comes out disproving it, then your hypothesis is incorrect.
Phantom has disproved basically all of their hypothesis.
So, next thing to do? Create a new one. Do new tests. They take Jazz's suggestion and try and see if the ghosts of Amity are actually conscious. Because obviously they're sentient, but are they like animals? Or are they like robots with artificial intelligence?
Or even better yet, are they like humans?
They grab Phantom's attention and ask him if he would cooperate for this test. A simple Turing test. Obviously they're still wary because of everything that happened with him, and do the test with witnesses to keep both Phantom's and their minds at ease.
He passed the test. With flying colors.
They're shocked and ask him if he knew peaceful ghosts that would be willing to take the test (because, y'know. Scientific method. Need to try over and over again). Phantom would have to explain that not all ghosts are as human-like as him (as, first of all, he's a halfa, but he doesn't say that. And second, lots of them are blobs or animal-like ghosts), but cue his parents meeting Jhonny and Kitty (cause I like the idea that they have a truce with Phantom and that going out of the zone helps them with their couple problems), as well as Shadow (example of a less human-like ghost). Then Sidney, Dora, the Fright Knight (cause king ghost Danny ftw) and Frostbite.
They all pass, more or less. Some, like Dora, the light and Sidney, where given away by their choice of word, but other than that all of them passed the test.
OK SO MORE COMPLEX ONE:
I love crossovers. I love finding ways of putting the two universes together, of making them work with each other, adapting the rules so that they apply to both. (With Danny Phantom it's also really cool to just... Make him travel the multiverse. He doesn't adhere to the rules of where he goes to, so it's always hilarious. But we're not here for that now).
One of the best ones to do this with is My Hero Academia. Whenever a show has someone with powers I end up asking myself "how should that work in the world of my hero?" And start trying to incorporate it in the lore.
So, first thing first, we're getting rid of the canon story of my hero. Completely unrelated to the show. This takes place decades in the past, when the first people where developing quirks (so if I wanted to write something with this and actually use my hero characters, I'd make it so that they where hit with a time traveling quirk or that Clockwork was somehow involved).
The Fenton's hatred for ghosts? Make it discrimination against the people who have quirks.
Danny being half-ghost? His quirk's fault. He calls it Ghost, for simplicity, it allows him to come back as a sort of ghost-like creature after he dies. Somehow, one day, he doesn't die completely so his body fixes it the only way it know how. Making him partially ghost.
Obviously that would mean that all the ghosts he fights aren't ghosts anymore. They're villains with quirks, and their powers would be based on what they can do on the show, minus the basic intangibility, invisibility and flight.
Obviously only Sam and Tucker would know he was Phantom and he had a quirk, he's also kinda the only one in town with one. People would be a little racist against quirk havers, but the kids, like in the show, come around to it. And actually start loving Phantom and thinking of him as a hero.
How do I fit Vlad in all of this? Ehm ahhhh this is the one thing I didn't think about. Very basic, but could give him a power similar to Danny, were instead of a ghost, he becomes a vampire. But his quirk is caused by an accident in college, so it's artificial.
Why does Skulker (who doesn't have a quirk. He's just a guy in a suit) hunt Danny? He has a very unique quirk.
Does Dani exist? I mean. Yeah. Cloning is not so farfetched, especially with the existence of quirks.
Clockwork can control time, he involuntary does that being a child, then an adult then an old man thing. The Observants are people without quirks that keep him in check, an organization that made a pact with him to stay young forever or something in change of idk what. No idea what Clockwork would get out of it I won't lie. Money maybe? Or somehow they found a way of keeping him there against his will?
Walker (and I'll make a seperate post about this) is an ex guy in white. Yes they still exist, but they hunt quirk havers instead of paranormal stuff. Walker was kicked out because he actually has a quirk but lied about it. He's after his own kind in the show as well. I mean, he's a stickler to the rules, but he only ever seems to care when it's ghosts that brake them. Correct me if I'm wrong, but never has he punished a human. His quirk is making semi-sentient minions. They're not copies of himself. They're like clay humans with basic forms. They all look alike and have no special characteristics.
Frostbite is just... A yeti. With cryokenisis. It's a mutation type quirk.
Same goes for Wulf, he's just a humanoid wolf that can create teleportation portals. I can't think of a reason why he would only speak Esperanto though. It could be something similar to Five from umbrella academy. He accidentally got stuck in the 1600 as a kid and managed to come back only relatively recently.
I feel like all the other ghosts have obvious powers.
Cujo can become ginormous,
Technus can control technology,
Dora and Aragon can become dragons,
Jhonny gives people bad luck and can control his shadow,
Kitty can make man disappear,
Ember can mind control using music,
Spectra can use people's negative emotions to stay young,
Bernard has shapeshifting,
Youngblood can't be seen by adults (side effect: can't grow old) and his sideckick has a variant of shapeshifting where he can only transform in animals. A definitive father figure),
Box ghost can control boxes,
Pandora can control the plagues of the world,
Desiré can make people's wishes come true,
Sidney can swap bodies with people,
Undergrowth can control plants,
Pariah Dark- I... Actually don't know...
Lunch Lady can control food,
Aaaanndddd no more come to mind.
I want to do something with this AU but I can't really think of an interesting story, other than "kids from 1A get misplaced in time and Danny has to help, discovering the existence of Clockwork and the Observants, whom he hates. So he tries to get Clockwork out of there with the other kid's help" but that's it, really.
I actually have a 3rd idea, but it basically works the same as the MHA one. Crossover with the X-Men.
Substitute quirk havers with mutants and quirks with mutations and you get the idea.
The plot would be more of a "Danny gets recruited by Xavier after the trauma of almost dying activated his mutation and goes to live at the mansion. This happens after the events of season 3, alla salted to make sense in the world of Marvel, but without Phantom planet. He makes friends there, since Sam and Tucker aren't with him and everything is fine and dandy and happy. Until it comes out that the Fentons actually contribute to the creation of the Sentinels, because they hate Phantom that much.
So Danny has to infiltrate his own family to get info on how the Sentinels work so they can destroy them, since his parents are still oblivious and they made it so that the Sentinels wouldn't attack Danny thinking that his accident just somehow make him register as a mutant on machinery" and that's it.

fic series rec. 218K and counting. Danny Phantom and a ton of Marvel peeps
Summary: In short - Danny gets adopted by Spiderpool
Comments: Normally I don’t rec a series until it’s done, but while not complete as a series and I have read all the stories AND OMG IT:S INCREDIBLE!  I have given up morning walks and grocery trips, put fake meetings on my work calendar, all to continue reading this amazing tale of found families.
It’s got a bunch of stuff in here. Light physical h/c. Triple scoops of the emotional kind. But it’s also all wrapped up in finding acceptance and belonging from so many people - even as poor Danny realizes his mother is never gonna support him. I love Danny’s interactions with Peter and Wade (and Peter and Wade are also so cute) and how connected ghosts are with the mystic arts is really cool too. The worldbuilding around ghost cores is cool, and I love Foggy and Murdock helping seperating Danny from the Fentons. The kid just has so many people willing to protect him here. (And honestly, tying in MCU laws so they include ectoentities? genius)
Poor Danny has the worst luck, but it’s so nice to actually see him getting support from adults, you know?

The Librarian’s Trick
Day one Ectoberhaunt: Trick or Treat
https://archiveofourown.org/works/34213519
 1:
Wes was certain this Cassius guy was a ghost. He had to be. Humans didn’t live on the outskirts of town in large decrepit clock towers that Wes was      pretty sure didn’t exist last week    .
Humans didn’t have red eyes and white hair (unless they had a condition called Albinoism, Wes had looked it up. But Albinoism      also     meant they had no melanin      anywhere    and Cassius Dark was decidedly tan in an admittedly attractive but decidedly not Albino kind of way)
Humans didn’t have fangs when they smiled but normal teeth whenever Wes tried to point out that      He had FANGS. They were right there!!!
Humans didn’t spend all their time either with Danny Fenton (who was Also very much a ghost!! Which should be in the list of proof but no one believes it so it’s seperate but still!) or mysteriously absent.
And humans didn’t seem to know everything all the time but talk like a bad astrology website.
So Wes was going to find a way to prove it.
His first try had him sneaking a “ghost translator” he didn’t remember the stupid name Fenton’s dad called it when he bought it with his allowance, into the library where Cassius Dark supposedly worked.
Supposedly, because while he could be found there, Wes had never actually seen him doing anything other than reading. And it was never a book Wes recognized, like, he wasn’t reading the Twilight series or anything. The last book Wes saw had been a large ancient looking tome written in a language Wes didn’t recognize. But Everytime he tried (subtly! He was super nonchalant about it!) to take a picture it ended up blurry!! And No Kyle, it wasn’t because he was      bad at taking photos    .
But that didn’t matter because Wes had a different plan now. He was going to use the Fentons’ new version of their “ghost translator” thing, and see what happened. It was supposed to be both a translator and a truth decoder at the same time. So no matter what a ghost said, the device should say what they actually mean. Or something.
With Danny, a bunch of innocuous stuff went off around him, but people always hand waved it as faulty tech. Wes wasn’t sure that was the case, in fact he was positive it wasn’t. But if he could get something useful to build up from, that would be a good start. And every good reporter needed a start.
He stepped up to the Library’s front desk, where Cassius was sitting reading what was      clearly     a spell tome if the different summoning pentagrams in the open page Wes could see were anything to go by.
“Welcome Young Weston,” Cassius said, the hint of a smile hidden behind his red eyes as he closed his book. Wes could swear they were glowing slightly. Geez did this guy get his ‘how to pretend to be human’ classes from      Fenton    ?
… that would certainly explain why no one ever believed Wes, since that was a long beaten dead horse in his closet.
He, very discreetly, had the device hooked up to one of his earphones, which he kept in one of his ears like any normal less than perfectly mannered teenager as he asked Cassius Dark his questions.
“Excuse me sir? Do you work here?” he started with, it was a more or less innocuous question and one he actually wanted the answer to.
 Cassius Dark smiled. “I do.”
My Job is all that was, is, and shall be. That which I set as my goal is beyond mortal comprehension and those I call master shall fall to my machinations. But yes, I get paid for sitting at this desk and answering questions sometimes. I am a ghost, fear me.
Wes tried not to sweat too obviously. What the fuck?
“Can you tell me where the journalism section is?” Wes decided to make a tactical retreat, at least his voice didn’t crack.
“Straight back for eight shelves and then turn right. It’s next to the Non-fiction books.”
I know what you’re looking for, I know why you are here. I know the exact time of your death and what will happen next. Your efforts amuse me though. I am a ghost, fear me.
What Wes did next was not      exactly     fleeing. But it wasn’t      not     fleeing either.
He’d have to try something else.
 2:
The next thing he wanted to try was a bit riskier. If you thought about it a certain way. But it also wasn’t if you thought about it the way Wes did.
He was going to use a phase-proof net.
Genius, because unlike the translator machine thing, it would actually stop the ghost from attacking Wes if it got angered. Which it would, probably, since Wes was throwing a net at it.
The plan was really simple though, he’d gotten a very large net, paid extra for the little aim thing, practiced half a billion times of his brothers before they went to the parents and got him grounded for a week, and then memorized the path Cassius Dark took in the mornings to go to his “job” at the library.
Right now he was hiding in one of the leafier trees, right above the path that Cassius always used, waiting.
 And waiting.
 And…      waiting.
Honestly he was about to go home and was fairly certain this guy was going to be like, super late to work, when he finally appeared.
Wes wasted no time aiming, making sure the trajectory was absolutely perfect, and firing the net off. He was just about to jump in celebration, watching the net as it curled slightly around its target, but before it could hit and wrap around him, Cassius was suddenly not there.
Or he was, but just a little bit to the left, so that the net sailed harmlessly past.
 Wes cursed.
 3:
The third one was fool proof. It had to be.
Which was why Wes was staring at a large conspiracy board, covered in paparazzi-esque shots of the librarian and random notes he’d taken, all connected with a dizzying amount of red string.
“Kyle, seriously. I need to figure out what kind of ghost he is or he’s always going to have the upper hand!!”
Kyle just rolled his eyes and continued playing his video game, as if he didn’t care that Wes had set up his very important planning and plotting in the middle of the living room so long as it didn’t interfere with his own plans.
“It has to be pretty powerful, he was able to dodge my net before it even touched him. And the translator thing clearly said ‘my goal is beyond comprehension’ or something,” Wes mused, “and he also said his job was like, everything?”
Wes checked his notes, “yeah, ‘all that is was and shall be’. What could he mean by that?”
His very annoying and clearly not taking this as seriously as he should brother just chuckled. “I don’t know Wes, maybe he can see the future?”
That… no. That’s way too OP. Just the thought of it sent a shiver down Wes’ spine. There was no way a ghost could see the future right?
 Right?
He had to test this theory.
But how do you even test something like that?
“Kyle, how would you test if someone could see the future?”
“Throw something at the back of their head and see if they dodge?” He answered way too quickly.
Wes thought about it for a moment. “No, what if they just have really good reflexes?”
“Oh huh, I guess that could be true. No idea then.” He shrugged and Wes had to fight the urge to throw something at the back of      his    head.
Whatever. He had to make plans.
He’d tried just throwing things. It was risky, and kind of terrifying, but Kyle was right it      was     the first that came to mind.
But Cassius never dodged. He was always just, not where Wes thought he was. Or Wes had      really bad aim,    which he didn’t!!! He was a basketball ace!! He had great aim! And great situational awareness!!
So why couldn’t he hit Cassius Dark?
Obviously it was because he could see the future. And the smug smile he always had when he knew Wes was looking reminded him an awful lot of a certain other Phantom.
 4:
 Ask him about his family.
Easy enough. Especially without the Fenton’s weird translator because that might have been a bit terrifying. And also this time he had back up.
He dragged Kyle by his sleeve into the library.
 “Mr. Cassius!”
Cassius looked up from his book, removing the delicate reading glasses balanced on his nose. “Can I help you Mr. Weston?”
“Yes!” He smiled broadly, taking out a small notebook that he had used to take notes on the suspicious and ghoulish things going on around town until it was mostly shreds of paper. “I’m writing an OP ED on the town library, and would like to know more about the librarian. Can you answer a few personal questions?”
Kyle snorted and Wes had to elbow him in the side to get him to shut up. He was here as back up, not to ruin his plan.
“So,” he began, “is Cassius a family name?”
 “No.”
Wes nodded. And then frowned. Did ghosts have families? Supposedly they were alive once right? At least that was the general idea, Wes thought.
“So what can you tell us about your parents? Like, what’s your father’s name?”
Cassius raised an eyebrow, and had a soft smile filled with good humor. Wes felt it hit him like a threat. What was this ghost hiding?
Well, other than the fact that he’s a ghost.
“I can’t tell you much I’m afraid. My mother is long gone and I never had a father.”
Kyle grimaced and elbowed Wes himself before saying, “I’m sorry for your loss.”
“It’s no matter,” Cassius replied, still smiling, “I may yet see her again.”
Ah, so either she wasn’t dead or he’s convinced she became a ghost too. That made sense. It could be his unfinished business as they say among the paranormal hunters. At least, the not fight-y and crazy ones.
“So Dark was your mother’s name?” Wes asked, wondering if he could maybe find any records on her where he had failed to find them on Cassius himself.
The smile slid right off his face. Wes and Kyle both felt the subtle chill in the air as Cassius leaned back and looked off to the side, as if to glare at something that wasn’t there. “No, I’m afraid Dark is my ex-husband’s name.”
“Why keep it?” Kyle asked, completely ignoring the danger of the situation.
The smile came back, except this time instead of soft and barely there as if he were indulging a child, it was sharp and twisted. He chuckled at an inside joke no one else in the room would ever understand and then he said, “Well, it’s not like      he     has any use for it now.”
Wes paled. Had he killed his husband?!
 5:
After a hasty retreat from the library Wes treated Kyle to a milkshake and fries at the nasty burger just as he had promised. Payment for going along with his ‘weird ghost theories’.
But Wes couldn’t eat, he was too busy thinking. This one actually helped! He found information about the ghost’s previous life! He had a mother, but not a father, and had a husband.
With the current politics it was one of two options. Either he was from a previous culture that allowed men to marry each other, or he was a more recent ghost than Wes had been expecting. He had already taken out his laptop and was scrolling through obituaries with the surname Dark, trying to think if he knew any off the top of his head that might have been in town when they died.
 Nothing particular came to mind.
Wes’ thinking was interrupted by a loud, obnoxious slurping noise from his brother. He shot him a glare, but Kyle didn’t react. Wasn’t even looking at him. Instead he was looking out the window and watching one of the daily ghost attacks with Phantom playing hero as always.
“You know, it’s kinda cool that they’re hiring actors to build the town’s lore like that,” he said, clearly ignoring the obvious evidence of ghosts right outside his window.
“What the      hell     are you talking about?” Wes groaned, rubbing at his eyes. He needed coffee or something, it was a shame the Nasty Burger only served sludge no sane person would drink.
Kyle finally looked away from the window, his eyes wide as if      he     was the one confused. “You know, how they got the librarian to say he was married to Pariah Dark? And then imply he’s the reason he’s a ghost?”
Wes felt like the seat underneath him had suddenly disappeared. “Where did you get      That    from?!”
“He said his ex-husband was named Dark! Pariah Dark’s Ghost Zone show is the first thing that comes to mind!” Kyle argued back. “Isn’t it?”
Holy shit this guy was married to the ghost king.
He thought back to the ominous answers he’d gotten that first day from the Fentons’ translator. Maybe he should leave this one alone.
 +1
Wes was at the library, studying quietly and absolutely avoiding the librarian. Not that he’d seen him today, but it didn’t hurt to keep his head down. With any luck the guy had a short memory and would forget Wes had been trying to find a way to out him to the town.
A portal ripped from the air in front of him, sending a static energy throughout the library and causing Wes’ hair to stand on end. It was a swirling purple, deeper and more… well      more     than most of the natural portals that Wes had seen appear around town.
He wanted to scream, but years of living in Amity Park had fully trained that out of him. Screaming was the number one way to get a ghost locked on you as their first target. Especially if you were there when the portal opened.
Before Wes could even think to duck under the table he was using a figure stepped out of the portal, poised and composed. He had a deep purple hood that seemed to swirl with the fabric of galaxies and a large ornate clock embedded into his chest. His skin was a rich blue and he had glowing red eyes.
 Wes recognized him immediately.
“Oh, hello Mr. Weston, is there something I can help you with?” Cassius Dark asked.

Danny Phantom writing prompt:
AU, diverging in the middle of 1x06 "What You Want", and forking off from the main timeline from there:
After accidentally flying through the Fenton Ghost Catcher for the first time, Danny Phantom flew down and instinctively possessed his human body, and thought no more of the strange incident that lasted not even two seconds.
He thought no more of it...
Until he started hearing a quiet voice in the back of his head, his own voice speaking behind and over his own internal thoughts.
Until the day that Danny realized that he was not alone in his own head, and that all these months...
He had been two seperate people in one body.
All these months, and he had been keeping his real human half captive for months in his own body.
When Danny realizes the magnitude of what happened that day, how does it go when he unpossesses himself?
How does the "real" Danny Fenton react when he is finally under his own control after months of being possesed by his own ghost?
How does Phantom cope with what he has inadvertently done, keeping himself prisoner for months?

This is way overdue!! Sorry for the delay!
Danny
Full name: Daniel A.Jax Fenton
-Yes his middle name is A.jax and it's entirely bc of this post and this post .
-Danny is Trans, (note the cute bracelet!) having officially transitioned over the summer between middle school and his freshman year.
-Danny is still fourteen, and is the youngest, as well as the shortest out of the trio.
-12 ounces of whoop ass, snark and anxiety. Also puns. Dear God, the puns....
-hobbies include: Astronomy, astrology, D.O.O.M and horror movies.
-Astronmy is more of a hyperfixation tbh.
-Proficient in gymnastics, having taken classes from ages 6-12, and participated in jr. cheer-leading throughout some of middle school as a flyer. Actually used to be friends with dash and paulina.
-Favorite classes involve Science and Mathematics, he’s good at understanding difficult concepts when he can pay attention. Absolutely awful at reading comprehension.
-His style hasn't changed all that much; he absolutely lives in graphic tees, jeans and sneakers. He usually wears the hoodie to cover up the litchenburg figure scars he received from the accident.
-The Accident occurred roughly a week or so before the start of his freshman year at Casper High.
-Much of how Danny got ghost powers remains in line with the established canon, with Sam urging him to investigate the ghost zone portal, and his getting caught and electrocuted within the frame after accidentally turning it on.
-Sam didn't have to do very much convincing though, Danny's definitely a lot more interested in his parents work that in cannon, even if they can be super embarrassing about it a lot of the time.
-And this is the point where I break off from that canon: but I'm going to make a seperate post for detailing Danny's ghost half / Phantom.
Sam
Full name: Samantha Nicole Manson
-Sam isn't an Amity park native, she moves into town over the summer after getting expelled from a fancy private school and finishing the year out online/ at home.
-At 15 years old, She's the oldest out of the three of them- having gotten held back a school year at some point for "behavioral issues"
-Sam's personality is still very much in line with her cannon counter part, although while she may still be stubborn to a fault, she knows when to admit she's wrong.
-Her revised style is really more punk, than goth.
-Sam's family is still pretty well off, as her father is the Owner of "Manson refrigerators" which has had a long-standing partnership with Dairy-King Co.
-She doesn't have a great relationship with either of her parents- they view her as out of control while she feels that they're too controling. Her grandmother is a constant mediator between the three of them.
-she's a vegetarian, she won't eat meat, but ethically sourced eggs and dairy is fair game.
-Pan-romantic Asexual.
-hobbies include: Cooking, Gardening, urban exploration, social activism, Anime, horror films and novels, and D.O.OM.
-She meets Danny over the summer at the movie theater during a horror flick marathon. After talking with him for a while, she's intrigued when Danny explains what it is his parents do. Being equally shocked that she doesn't immediately dismiss their work and call him a freak, he invites her over to see the portal...
Tucker
Full name: Tucker Foley
-Meet Danny in kindergarten, and the two of them have been pretty much inseparable ever since. He's only older than Danny by about a month.
-Was the first person that Danny came out to.
-Bisexual
-Dated Danny VERY briefly (like, a week) in middle school, which, unfortunately leads to a lot of people assuming they're still a "thing" (it's annoying but I has absolutely gotten them out of a few sticky situations *cough* fake out make out *cough*
-Not really a fan of sam at first. Tuck Actually feels somewhat threatened by her in the beginning beacuse for the longest time it's been JUST him and Danny, the dynamic duo. He gets worried that Danny'll stop hanging out with him because Sam is just SO much cooler. (These worries are completely unfounded, of course.)
-Still a tech wiz, same as in cannon. Even though I've decided I'm going to set the rewrite in the early 2000's, there's gonna be more "modern" technology. (bc I love the fact that Jack, Vlad and Maddie were in college in the 80's and also don't feel like doing math to adjust the timeline) Tucker probably still has at least one PDA somewhere cause hey, vintage shits kinda cool! But it's definitely not gonna be his go to device anymore.
-Tucker has an issue with iron deficiency...hence, an increase of red meat in his diet. The "meat vs veggies" debate is absolutely a heated issue between him and sam, although after a while it settles into friendly banter rather than lengthy arguments that have Danny pulling out his hair at the lunch table.
-Tucker hates the horror genre, cause he's a freaking wuss, lmao. But he lets Sam and Danny drag him out to see movies anyway.
-Tucker's hobbies include tinkering, computer games, (including but not limited to D.O.O.M) coding and yarn crafts.
-His grandmother taught him to crochet when he would visit her in the hospital, Tucker Actually made his beanie himself.
-Danny's the only one who knows about that though because he doesn't want to be teased for liking something "girly"
-He still has a phobia of hospitals. Watching has grandma slowly deteriorating in one is what caused it.
I think I've covered everything, but odds are I'll be adding onto this at some point.
Next post will probably cover Danny's ghost half in depth!
(on a final side note, if anyone is interested in drawing character refs for this project, dm me! I can compensate with a fic based on prompt of your choice, or if you have set commission rates, $$$)

Hi! For the wip game, can I ask about
-the ouran host club haunting
-you can only be betrayed by the ones you trust
-teenagers scare rhe living shit out of me (big mood)
-and the addam's family one!
:)
the ouran host club haunting- danny phantom and ouran crossover. after the death of his parents, danny and jazz are adopted by vlad and seperated from their home and friends. they're forced to attend ouran high school because they're rich kids now. but naturally danny's ghostly secret can't stay buried, espescially when the ouran host club are sniffing around.
---
And suddenly all Kyouya easy charm and tact was gone. He was still smiling but it was twisted and dark. Sharp like a tangible threat. In that moment Kyouya looked more evil and dangerous than any villain Danny had ever faced. Worse than Pariah Dark or Niorscape or even Dan.
Kyouya Ootori was the shadow king.
Danny Fenton was terrified.
“Are you saying I was wrong?” Kyouya said in a silky voice, drawing out each syllables.
Danny would have given anything to have a good lie right then, at the same time he knew that if he tried to lie, Kyouya would see through him and he’s be punished. So he stuttered out a “yes, I’m actually a human ghost hybrid. Danny Phantom is my alter ego. I’m a ghost.”
“you’re danny phantom?” shadows played across Kyouya’s face casting him in a dangerous light. Danny had at this point backed himself against a wall and knew he could turn intangible and escape but somehow doubted that would save him.
“yeah,” Danny said transforming right then and there. His ghost form glowed slightly in the uneasy air.
If possible Kyouya’s leer only stretched further, contorting his face into something ugly and malevolent. “so you’re telling me, that some crackpot theory, that some internet stalker posted, that I dismissed months ago, is true?”
“are you talking about Wes? Yeah, oh yeah. A lot of people dismissed the whole Phantom is Fenton thing because of him. that’s why I called him harmless before, his conspiracy theory spin actually made people less likely to believe it. he’s kinda the victim in this whole thing and I’d have explained things to him if he weren’t too paranoid to approach. But yeah he was right. I’m Phantom, I’m a halfa.”
Danny was looking sheepish thinking of his stalker, but Kyouya started to laugh. his laugh grew and grew until it filled the room with its unpleasant sound. “How elegant,” he gasped between breaths. “How clever!”
Danny had instinctively turned invisible and was really wishing he was somewhere else right then.
As Kyouya’s laugh died down his expression had relaxed into something softer. He looked almost amused? and fond? “You are just full of surprises aren’t you, Mr. Fenton.”
Danny returned to the visible plane, tense and unsure. Despite the fact that it meant he was making a deal with the devil, Danny was glad that Kyouya was on his side, rather than against him.
“I’m sure there are only more surprises to come,” Danny said in a shaky voice.
Kyoya folded his hands on the desk. “I’m more than glad to help.”
After all, he thought, with things like ghosts and hybrids running around, the world just kept getting bigger.
