Audrey and Fors advanced to Sequence 7 and 8 respectively! Good for them! They're so lovely, but they have less of a focus this arc, it seems. That's alright, each character brings something interesting to the table when it's time.

And of course! I can't go to sleep before I mention how much of an absolute BADASS Klein - or should I say, Gehrman Sparrow - has been in these chapters!! HE'S SO EPIC AND SMART AND RESOURCEFUL AND CAREFUL AND STRATEGIC AND RUTHLESS AND- kind. At his core, it's still Klein Moretti. And Klein Moretti is kind. Just had the thought. In the Incredibles AU do Legend and Twilight have delayed motor development from trying to learn how to control 2 bodies growing up?

Hmm, you know I didn’t consider that, but that makes a lot of sense! I did a real quick skim of motor development and stuff, and I think they probably would have some troubles.

Going between having four paws and then two feet and two hands (with fingers!) while trying to learn how to walk and crawl and pick things up would definitely be challenging, so I’m going to say that they did have delayed development in at least some areas.

Twilight I would think probably had trouble learning to walk, since being a wolf and just going around on four paws was so much easier. Legend seems to me like he’d be a faster learner, so I don’t know that he had as much trouble walking, but he probably did have some other issues, maybe something with hopping since the movement is so different from crawling and walking.

And then the both of them had trouble with fingers and just generally holding things, since going between paws and hands was tricky. But they both got the hand (ha) of things in the end, and didn’t suffer any long-term effects from the delay.

And since we’re on the subject, this also seems like a good time to bring up the fact that despite how wolves and rabbits develop significantly faster than kids, for Legend and Twilight their development matches that of their hylian ages!

Like for example, a wolf reaches adulthood by the time they’re about two years old, whereas hylians (humans) are still toddlers at that point. It’d be jarring (and not make much sense!) for Twilight to be a little toddler as a hylian and then be completely full-grown as a wolf XD

So Twilight’s wolf form reflects his actual hylian age, so when he’s two years old, he isn’t a two year old wolf. He’s the equivalent of a hylian two year old, so he’s only a couple weeks old wolf pup instead. The same goes for Legend, though I’ll admit I don’t know as much about how rabbits develop.
