This one is my fave of all time, not just mh. But the thought of Haru stroking the cat's head and then lifting his hand to stroke the back of his fingers on Makoto's cheeks? My brain short-circuits

Now which one of us survived these two arts? Certainly not me. The fact that these are set post-canon, showing not only how their bond is stronger than ever but that Haru is the one initiating the contact, and the fact that it's proof beyond doubt that Makoto is SO significant to Haru's journey as a swimmer (when we already know he's significant - see: most important - in every other aspect of life outside the pool), the idea that he only got this far bc of Makoto, "it's meaningless without you" and "i appreciate you being here for me" walked so these arts could run. Thank u kyoani for canon makoharu visual guide.

I remember when this spoiler dropped it was just so 😮‍💨 honestly what makes this scene so peak for me is Ikuya walking past, watching them being gay and is like... u know what not my circus not my monkey. He's so valid for that. But overall the fact that Makoto knows Haru well enough to help here even when he's not his coach, the fact that Haru trust him when his body needs to be in peak condition. Stop it. Their trust and respect for each other just gets me.

Any art where other things are going on but Haru just has eyes on Makoto is peak (and there are an abundance of them). But art where Haru's precious water is splashing so beautiful and Haru's STILL only got heart eyes for Makoto? Pure gay nonsense.

not a weird ask at all, i love ability breakdowns. i had to consult my buddy @tixdixl tho bc im not well-versed in things like this.

if we're talking jrpg then they'd fall into dps/damage per second. despite me throwing gia in scenarios where they're scrapping it out mano-a-mano with someone, when it comes to legitimate battle, gia excels at ranged combat due to their skill with a slingshot.

when they start dabbling in self-made magic however and create their first working version of the magestone slingshot gia uses in battle throughout freshman year, gia is able to small bits of damage constantly through casting "debuffs" so to speak.

early examples include an "insta-grow" potion that ensnares opponents in rapidly growing vines to slow movement (they use a kelp variation of this potion in book 3 against the leech brothers), itching powder, stink and tear seed bombs, and thorn shots.

if we're talking DnD though theyd fall into the ranger class.

at the end of their sophomore year tho they've successfully upgraded to the magestone slingSTAFF which packs a hell of a lot more wallop than their slingshot did. it casts actual spells instead of relying on little glass potion marbles.

(ive yet to fully land on a design for their ramshackle housewarden uniform, but its something along these lines.)

alot of people hc danny having fangs and ears even in human form, and alot of people say vlad does aswell but knows how to hide them

This idea is really cool and I respect it alot, but i like to hc that vlad doesnt because of the different circumstances of each of their accidents

With danny, he was younger, I imagine his cells and dna(along with other stuff) would be less developed because of this, making it easier for the ectoplasm to bond to him, He was also exposed to a higher dose of ectoplasm and electricity then Vlad

Vlad was older, meaning his cells n stuff were more developed, so the ectoplasm didn't bond as much to him as it did to danny, and while he got a pretty bad dose of ectoplasm(enough to make him a halfa), I imagine it was less since the portal didn't open on him(rather just blasted his face) and it was a smaller scale

Because Dannys cells were more bonded to the ectoplasm, his ghost half affects his human half more then it does with Vlad, and thats why ghostly attributes like fangs, reflective eyes, pointy ears, etc will show while hes still in human form ~ Ender/Whisper

You know sometime you just didn't realize how similar Vlad and Danny are. Until you tries to write them as friend. but they keep graviting toward each other evolving into something more. Like this is like my 17 re write now and it still resulted in Vlad sacifiescing himself so Danny could live caused Danny importance and impact on his life is way more importance to him then his own well being. And don't get me started with the Groundhog Day where Vlad leaving caused they have a bad fall out essentially caused the worst timeline.

Danny even copy Vlad pun as a coping mechanism and Vlad adopting Danny old stoic behavior.
