I actually think you could have vastly improved the narrative if this guy was Eclipsa's monster husband instead of Globgor.

• So, they met in Eclipsa’s rose garden.🌹🥀

• The poofy, teal-haired girl was happily picking roses and placing them in her handmade wooden basket to make a beautiful bouquet later on. 💐

• She suddenly stops when she spots a monster with red skin covered in darker red tiger-like stripes, long white hair tied into a topknot, four eyes, pointy ears, short horns, and fanged teeth roaming around her garden with an angry expression on his face.

• Now, being the monster friendly princess she was, Eclipsa immediately rushed over to greet him.

• Globgor was initially cold (and sometimes even hostile at times), but became much warmer and friendlier over time due to Eclipsa.

• Their meeting was somewhat similar to Star’s and Marco’s in Episode 1 “Star Comes To Earth”.

• Eclipsa came off as a very friendly and energetic girl who was also a little childish. However, Globgor starts off with wanting nothing to do with her, finding her behavior annoying but also adorable without admitting it.

• When Globgor explains to Eclipsa that he’s eaten countless mewmens before in the past and won't hesitate to eat her if needed, Eclipsa simply gives a giggle at the monster's threat, not taking it seriously in the slightest. “Oh no, I’m soooo scared~." He was too adorable.

• Eclipsa really liked him! She liked him so much that she suggested that the two of them meet again, but this time in secret.

• Globgor was beyond flushed by Eclipsa’s offer to meet again. He tends to scare people off, so the fact that a mewman wanted to see him again really caught the size-shifter off guard.

• He decides to accept the offer not because he likes her (we all know he does), but because she asked so nicely. He meets up with Eclipsa more and more in the rose garden.

• They spend long hours talking about things they like and have joke contests to see who will laugh first.

• When wanting to hold hands with him, Eclipsa will say, "Will you be a dear and hold this for me?" and offers him her hand.

• Eclipsa’s light flirting made the red monster even redder.

• Eclipsa taught him how she made rose bouquets and was touched when Globgor made one for her! 🌹

• Globgor didn’t understand Eclipsa’s obsession over snooker bars, but boy did he find it adorable when the princess’s eyes lit up with excitement everytime she devoured the chocolate candy.🍫

•They have romantic rose garden dinner dates under the stars.🌹⭐

• Under the night sky, the two share a slow dance and kiss.

• They eventually fall in love and start secretly dating.

• Eclipsa fell in love with Globgor’s sweet side, and Globgor fell in love with Eclipsa’s kindness.

• Eclipsa decides to take her monster boo up to her room to show him her rockin’ new guitar that she made the other day out of nothing but skeletons!💀🎸

• One day, Eclipsa is playing a rock song on her guitar while Globgor watches in amazement and cheers her on. Solaria (with an extremely long neck) comes in and stares angrily at Eclipsa, who's quietly reading a book. Stretching her long neck, Solaria hovers over Eclipsa. Eclipsa, looking up from her book, happily waves at her mother. Solaria smiles and leaves. As soon as she’s gone, Eclipsa gives a signal to Globgor that the coast is clear and he comes out from hiding inside Eclipsa’s closet. The two then start laughing.

• In an emotional scene, when Globgor asks his girlfriend why she would date a dangerous mewman eating monster like him, Eclipsa is a bit taken aback by this question, but she relaxes with a smile. “You’re incredibly kind, Globgor, and you've changed. You're not dangerous. You wouldn't hurt a fly. You’ve just been hurt so many times by people who look like me.”

What do you think the relationship between Globgor and Toffee is/was/could be?

Was:

They never met when they were kids. Eclipsa tried so hard to get them to meet, but they never were able to. Something always happened or got in the way that prevented them from meeting

All Toffee and Globgor know of each other is what Eclipsa tells them of each other. She’s the connecting factor. She didn’t share any secrets, but Toffee has heard her gush about Globgor so many times and Globgor has heard Eclipsa ramble about her best friend in the whole world just as much. Because of that they have pretty positive opinions of each other.

Eclipsa just omitted that Toffee was a Septarian because she knows Globgor doesn’t like them💀.

Toffee was so young and in such despair during the later part of Eclipsa’s reign bc of their falling out and it was because of many factors that he never really was made aware of the ins and outs of the political situation between Globgor and Seth (and the Septarians as a whole). The only reason his opinion of Globgor was tainted has nothing to do with what Globgor himself did/feels about the Septarians and has everything to do with Eclipsa association. The topic of anything to do with Eclipsa is a sore subject so even if Seth wanted to tell him about the King of Monsters/The Plucker of Limbs Toffee would avoid it at all costs.

Is:

In its current day Toffee wouldn’t like Globgor because of Eclipsa association and Globgor would be neutral on Toffee. He doesn’t know Toffee is a Septarian and has only ever heard positive things about him but he knows his wife avoids the topic of her former best friend so he knows shit went down.

You know...

If ever you draw like, a loving family dynamic and you think ... Some people.... might interpret your depictions the wrong way....... There is absolutely no need nor is there ever an obligation to like...... Do a goddamn fucking death glare directly into the camera at your audience and just start screeching directly into your own blog post, not to dissimilar from a snake just eating it's own tail, about how you're gonna like break their kneecaps and kill them if they .... Put an unwanted tag your posts....... So to speak.

And if someone does do that, the absolute best thing you can do to preserve your own work from that sort of "interaction" is to just completely ignore it, pretend it's not there, block it without any acknowledgment, and move on.

Because if you don't, you know what you're doing? You are directly projecting both your insecurities and intrusive thoughts about the way you draw your own art, right into the lovely piece you just drew and thus ruining your own piece, ruining things for yourself, and ruining things for your audience, because now we're all bummed thinking about it, and now the only person we gotta block is you for directly sabotaging your own intentions by projecting your own bullshit moral panic onto your own art and your own audience, bruh.

That says way more about you than it does about your work. Maybe you should work on yourself, first.

Thoughts on Globgor?

I love him. I think he’s incredibly sweet, kind, genuine, and one of the best dads and husbands of all of Mewni. Eclipsa picked a good one. He’s certainly, no doubt intensely flawed and has some things to make up for in his past, and especially some biases he needs to overcome, but he’s willing to adapt and make changes. He’s so sweet and I adore him.

I’m glad the show didn’t make him a villain, would’ve added to the disgusting trend of Monsters continually being villainized. He’s such a genuine character who allowed love to bring out the best side of him, and I don’t blame him one bit for eating the fucker who gave away his daughter to a robot. A robot who proceeded to torment an innocent child for years by making her repress her individuality and both her monster and butterfly traits.

Good, solid character I wish we could’ve seen more of (and got more of his history explained throughly). You could call me a confident Globgor stan, despite his shortcomings and flaws. He feels like the type to eventually confront his biases and improve himself to be better, all he needs is a nudge.
