not a surprise but google is continuously getting worse. searches related to items that can be bought will return endless shopping options, then a few vaguely sourced blogs (made by or for businesses that link to even more shopping options). google scholar is fine for subjects that are broadly represented in western academia, but good luck getting past the abstract without an institution to sign in with, hundreds of loose dollars, or a 3rd party site that works roughly 20% of the time. an entire civilization that has compiled near endless amounts of information, but no unified way to quickly and accurately access it. shouldn’t be of any concern though. i’m sure

#im aware of some of the alternatives #and i tend to seek out physical media/books etc #i also use every available library app #but considering the scale of google’s infrastructure #it’s irritating #but entirely expected #that the service has been compromised by the profit motive #google #alphabet inc #ivie

Yeah, 'changeling' isn't a type of fae in One Knight Stand, it's a job title like 'spy'. So the Changeling MC is actually a different subspecies of fae.

If you think about it, there's a specific sort of fae (already mentioned in the game) that's most suitable for long term infiltration because most fae are really not going be able to pass as human for any extended amount of time. Not that their human glamours would fail, but their actions and attitudes are simply too strange. However, that still leaves the MC's actual heritage as a mystery.

Otherwise, no can do about any other potential info about the Changeling MC as that's a large plot point in the rather distant future... but really they can be descended of any of the types that have already been mentioned (and much more). Also, the narrative does tend to lean hard on the native folklore of the 'Logres' region.

You'll just have to trust Merlin (or not) regarding their descriptions of the fae and what MC can potentially be. Until the other fae start reappearing in the mortal realm that is. However, you can point blank ask Merlin their opinion in the upcoming Free Time section.

can i just say i have been buying and using refurbished phones for like 5 yrs or so and the fact that in that time, only one of them has died for no obvious reason, ie crack or water damage, is amazing. (for context i’ve prbly purchased around 4 phones in that time) all somewhere between $150-$500, ranging from apple to samsung.
