There’s something so soft about the fact that Suguru and Satoru straight up refused to fight each other no matter the circumstances.

Sure, they probably had some nasty spars when they were friends, but they both knew that wasn’t serious.

When Suguru became a criminal, however, Satoru never once tried fighting him for real. The same can be said for the inverse—Suguru never fought Satoru. They could never truly hurt each other, no matter how at odds they were.

The strangest thing though, is that Suguru wasn’t even going to fight Satoru the day he left. He turned his back and began to walk away, defenseless, and told Satoru to kill him. He straight up was going to accept death by Satoru’s hand—he wasn’t going to fight it.

Satoru couldn’t do it, though, and throughout their separation leading up to the events in JuJuKai 0, he never sought Suguru out to end him even though he had an execution order to carry out.

I’m fully convinced he wouldn’t have even killed Suguru if he hadn’t been mortally wounded at the end of the movie. Why do it then when he had a million other chances? It wasn’t to finally do his “duty” as a sorcerer. It was to put Suguru out of his misery. His physical pain, yes, but all of his emotional and mental pain as well. Suguru was tired and Satoru recognized that. He couldn’t watch him suffer anymore. Execution orders be damned. Satoru really couldn’t care less about those. Suguru was always Suguru to him, even if his choices deeply disappointed, disturbed, and confused him.

Even after death he couldn’t bring himself to destroy Suguru, something that would come back to bite everyone later.

Another thing I find interesting is that despite having fought Maki (someone who is very similar to Toji in that she fights without any cursed energy, a reminder of the beginning of their downfall), he didn’t kill her. He could have made it so that she was beyond repair, but he didn’t. Because he knew it would hurt Satoru. He couldn’t kill a so-called ‘monkey’ despite his hatred, out of his love for Satoru.

The same goes for Satoru. He didn’t let any of Suguru’s found family get hurt, and assured him they were safe in his final moments.

(Spoilers ahead for those who haven’t read the manga, Shibyua Incident Arc)

And this culminates beautifully and tragically when the fight leaves Satoru’s body the second he hears Suguru’s voice call out to him, which ultimately leads to his sealing.

As per usual, this is reciprocated immediately. Satoru calls out to Suguru, who has been dead for a year at this point, and watches as Suguru tries to stop his own body from hurting Satoru from beyond the grave.

Listen, I am so serious, these two are very obviously in love with each other and I can’t wait for the day it’s revealed that this was a fact all along.

truly been having a breakdown over season one tarlos lately because...

you have this shell of a man with walls a mile high because all love has ever done is hurt him and he wants to be loved so badly but he's scared and when the stranger he's inexplicably drawn to shows him that he cares, TK lays out all his messy pieces and that stranger takes one look at him and thinks 'I'd love you anyway'

and then for Carlos it wasn’t a 'you fixed me', it was a 'I took one look at you and realized I was never broken in the first place' and if that’s not the most romantic thing I’ve ever heard

and it's just two people dealing with their own incredibly heavy pasts who get to cross paths because of those pasts and they're soulmates not in the 'destined to be together' way but the 'I choose to love you each and every day' way because it was as if something shifted into place when they found each other, a moment where everything felt right all of a sudden, and they never want to go a day without it anymore

People keep saying 'you ship twins' then they block my ass, so here I am doing a post putting it out there I like other shit. Someone did a Giratina X Volo doujin full of lots and lots of ghost tentacle action, but there's also a touching 'how I met your mother' story. The Pixiv link to the entire doujin is in the first Twitter link.

I translated almost the entire thing with Google lens. It starts out something like, "Once upon a time, there was a beautiful child with blonde hair, white skin and big silver eyes, but he was all alone. He was given as a scapegoat to a raging god who was once considered an equal to Arceus. His pendant was taken away, and he was thrown into Turnback cave. Giratina had no interest in the world of life, but they kept the child who grew up into a happy young man who enjoyed reading about myths and legends."

As Volo grows to adulthood, he starts getting urges. Giratina leaves him alone quite a lot. One day, Giratina catches him touching himself as he bathes. Giratina asks if Volo bathed himself for them? Volo replies that before he arrived, he learned various things from God so that he wouldn't have any troubles. He bathes every day; it makes him feel better.

They claim ownership and say that only they are allowed to touch Volo from now on. Giratina tells Volo that once long ago, humans and pokemon used to have congress with each other, and it was considered natural to have the same offspring. I thought....yeah right. Giratina is just saying that to get Volo into bed. Obviously, there was never a point in time when humans were getting it on with something that looks vaguely like a giant centipede with ghost tentacles coming out its back. Anyway, Volo is a himbo, and he falls for it. He does express hesitation saying that Giratina is a God and shouldn't go that far. Giratina replies that this is their spiritual world, and that they want to love this messy and beautiful young man. There are several ghost tentacle scenes and a part that sounded almost like implied m-preg. Volo gets branded below his belly button.

Then the drama comes. Volo expresses being curious about the world of life, but something is said about 'what belongs to God must stay in God's world'. His curiosity cannot be contained, and he goes to the natural world anyway. He is only able to see the temple devoted to Arceus and offspring before he starts disintegrating, starting with his left leg. It's really vague, and I wonder if something was lost in translation. There's no info given on why this happened, and Volo appeared to enter the world climbing down from a vine. Distraught, Giratina goes on a rampage destroying the temple. When their anger is spent, Volo is reduced to ash, and the people are destroying the Giratina statue showed in the Celestica ruins in PLA.

Giratina is forever pining and is shown haunting ruins and graveyards where young men sleep. Then one day, Volo is reborn into a petulant and free-spirited human form who is able to exist in the world of the living. They reconnect, and Giratina gives him back his pendant and also bestows the spooky plate upon him. Giratina tells him that the time may come when Volo may no longer need them, and that they might not always be by his side, but if he's happy it will all be fine. It ends with Giratina saying they will always love Volo.
