Steve wasn’t sure what he was expecting when Eddie said he’d gotten him a gift, but it sure as shit wasn’t this.
“Oh, my god,” Steve said, holding it up to see it in all its glory. A t-shirt with words printed over a rainbow across the chest: Steve & Robin - Not dating, just gay and codependent.
“Obviously, I have one for Robin too,” Eddie said, tossing Steve a second shirt.
“Oh, my God!” Steve repeated, laughing this time. It was perfect and so incredibly weird. He couldn’t wait to model them with his best friend and take the most ridiculous not-couple pictures of all time. “This is - I mean, Jesus! I love it, but would you let me be the impressive one for once?”
Eddie looked Steve up and down, then smirked.
“With those abs? Don’t worry, you’re still the impressive one here.” Steve blushed, then sat up in bed so he could put the shirt on, but Eddie stopped him. “Woaaaah there, what are you doing? You can’t cover up, I’m enjoying the view.” Steve rolled his eyes.
“You’re not going to let me use the gift you got me?”
“Not yet,” Eddie replied. “I’m actually kind of regretting the whole thing now. You should probably never wear a shirt ever again. Can I have it back actually?” Steve chuckled, then smacked Eddie playfully on the arm.
“No way.”
“Steve, you wound me," Eddie joked. "But fine, as you wish."
Eddie and Steve had been official for 2 months at this point, and everything was kind of perfect. They each continued to work their respective jobs, and with their added happiness came enhanced customer service.
Bob was happy - both for Eddie’s shift in demeanor as well as for the business. They were doing great! Plus, he got bonus points as a step-dad for introducing Will to Eddie and the shop. Will came to visit a few more times, and this time he got to talk to Steve, too. It was clear that seeing a happy gay couple was important for Will. He hadn’t seen much of that in his small town, so seeing Eddie and Steve be so grossly into each other was refreshing.
And gross.
But mostly refreshing!
One day, Will’s older brother dropped Will off at the shop, introducing yet another cool person into the friend group - Jonathan. By then, Eddie had succeeded in making Argyle his friend, and the two of them spent many nights smoking and watching those stupid stoner comedies together in Argyle’s weird, confusingly giant house that he somehow lived in.
Seriously, how did the guy have a house like that already? How did he have the money to travel so much with Chrissy? Her show was good and all, but it couldn’t possibly be getting her that much income.
In any case, Argyle and Eddie were buds, so Argyle also happened to be around when Jonathan walked into Ink About It.
The bromance between Jonathan and Argyle was pretty much immediate. Eddie would have felt mildly jealous about it if he hadn’t noticed some very familiar (aka queer) vibes between the two. Perhaps Will wasn’t the only Byers grappling with their identity, that's all Eddie was saying - but it was just speculation. Eddie kept his mouth shut (except to Steve, obviously, who fully agreed). In due time, as with anything else.
So then they all hung out - Chrissy, Jonathan, Argyle, Steve, Eddie, and Robin. They’d formed quite the friend group - all of them getting along with each other beautifully. Argyle even hosted a road trip with the squad in his giant pizza van (???) so that they could all surprise Gareth at a Corroded Coffin show.
That night was epic, and it finally cemented Robin and Chrissy as girlfriends.
After their date, they’d both been super into each other - undeniably so. Yet, because Chrissy was so often moving around, they’d decided it was best to just stay friends.
Yeah. Eddie and Steve knew that wouldn’t last very long.
It still lasted longer than it should have, and the pining was rampant. Every time they all hung out, the two women wouldn’t stop staring at each other, cracking jokes, and giving everyone else in the room ample opportunities to share knowing glances…
And then they went on the road trip, and they got super drunk, and Robin tended to speak a lot more freely when she was intoxicated.
She professed her love to Chrissy on the dance floor.
It was a bold move, but it paid off. Chrissy and Argyle extended their stay in Hawkins, and Robin and Chrissy became an official couple.
Coincidentally, that night was also pretty huge for Eddie and Steve. Firstly, because Chrissy and Robin had dropped the “I love you’s” before they had, which felt kind of ridiculous, considering Eddie and Steve obviously loved each other.
“The fucking lesbians stole my thunder!” Eddie yelled from the bar, watching Robin and Chrissy hug each other on the dance floor.
“What are you talking about?” Steve asked, amused at his boyfriend’s antics.
“Ladies and Gentleman!”
Gareth’s voice boomed from the stage. The band had taken a quick break, but were back on. Eddie grinned, then grabbed Steve’s hand.
“Come on,” he said. “Let’s get closer.” They wandered through the crowd (past Chrissy and Robin) as Gareth continued.
“We’ve got a surprise for you all. You see, my boy Eddie Munson requested we play a special song tonight. So, this one’s for you, Flower Boy. Lord knows we wouldn’t play this for anyone else.”
Before Steve could even process what was happening, the band began to play. It wasn’t metal, it was -
“I Melt With You,” Steve said once he recognized it. “I love this song.”
“Iiiiii know!” Eddie responded, laughing. He pulled Steve into him so they could swing along to the music. “This was my whole master plan. Was gonna have them play this and tell you I loved you and it was going to be this whole beautiful moment but then Robin-”
“Eddie,” Steve interrupted, laughing. Eddie’s jaw dropped, and then he facepalmed.
“Oh my god I totally just said it without meaning to,” he said. “I’ve been holding out for WEEKS and -”
“You’ve loved me for weeks?” Steve asked, touched.
“Well, yeah,” Eddie replied. “Duh.” His eyes bugged out on that last word, his voice taking on a goofy, boyish cadence. Steve smiled.
“You’re so ridiculous,” he said, shaking his head. “And I love you too.”
“Yeah?” Eddie asked, grinning.
“Duh,” Steve replied, attempting to mimic Eddie’s response from before. “Robin didn’t ruin your big plan, by the way. That was all you.” Eddie chuckled.
“You still love me though,” he said. Steve nodded, and then they were kissing.
I’ll stop the world and melt with you.

ellie, please share your tips on learning biology.
haha i’m so stoked by this ask bc i used to DREAM of having a studyblr account when i was in college 🤣 i’ll try to give sort of unconventional tips that helped me study
tbh practice practice practice was most helpful for any calculus, biochem (at least for rxn & pathway diagrams), physics or ochem that i had to take, but not so much for bio since it’s mostly memorization (but it depends on the professor/class i guess)
1. use anki/quizlet & incorporate it into your morning routine (ex 20 flashcards while eating breakfast)
2. have your friends quiz you. make it funn like if you don’t answer correctly within 30 secs they get to hit you with a pillow or you have to take a shot of something gross
3. repetition is key for memorization, most importantly spaced repetition! studying the night before for a bio test is academic suicide and WILL make you want to dropout lmfaooo
4. for bio, i think the kaplan mcat prep book is decent and summarizes most of the systems of the body pretty well. even if you’re not planning on taking the mcat, it’s handy to have
5. to prep for any frq type exams, just read a lecture, write down headers for topics onto a sheet of paper, then immediately after reading it just try to write down everything you can remember for that topic within like a minute.
6. draw diagrams!! this was so useful when learning ab diff systems like circulatory, respiratory etc. just draw a gigantic diagram, and annotate the actual diagram w your notes. that way your brain ties the visual to the words, and it all becomes easier to picture in your head when you’re taking your exam
7. with any study tip/strategy, i think its important to include a component of “stress” or “stakes” to mimic the exam environment, whether that be some sort of light punishment, time constraint, resource constraint etc so that on actual test day, you’ve sort of primed yourself into feeling comfortable with the material despite your anxiety, which can really help give you an advantage
8. if you don’t feel like studying, set a two min timer and start. most of the time, you’ll keep going even after those two mins are up
9. convince yourself you’re in love w someone in your lecture hall so you wanna go to class
sorry this was more generic tips rather than bio-specific but i think these tips work BEST for any type of memorization subject such as bio

theyre twins the boy is Xueshe and the girl is Puzui… they r Liyue characters :3 specifically illuminated beasts!
they r so tragic i think ive talked ab them a bit before but buddy ive written a like 4000+ word Ongoing masterdoc of their lore and design analysis. with several playlists. im not fucking around with these guys
basically they were. mitosis’d by Cloud Retainer and fought in the archon war and the cataclysm and ended up being Khaenri’ah sympathizers so Celestia astrally projected them into the Abyss for 500 years until they both nearly went insane and the Puzui DID go insane and lose all her memories and they break free during the upcomimg lantern rite so 😜 cant wait to see 4.4 play out and alter their lives
Xueshe’s design is waaay less thought out than Puzuis tbh i dont feel that he looks like a genshin character and i know i could do more to achieve that but. ykw xiao can have all the visual complexity in their relationship idc. um he kinda maybe has a hanfu shirt. his shirt could be tied up like hes doing archery but hes. a sword character. also hes supposed to have the same glove that Xiao does to hold their visions because i loove when matching/swapping/sharing items is used as a visual representation of a relationship idk. and he has a little fox friend named Nezha because hes a protection deity
Puzui’s has a lot of choices based on forget me nots (also called scorpion grass which influenced her hair) and me genuinely referencing hanfu and qipao.. altho ive come to the conclusion her qipao looks way more like an ao dai with the pants LOL um also her Huadian (forehead makeup) is supposed to be a forget me not and the dots on her brow and dimples are called Huadian or MianYe :3
the pibo (the silk behind Puzui) and the lingzhi (Xueshe’s headpiece) are used in folklore art and opera respectively but i thought that they would be a really interesting way to call back on how theyre like from a diff time period yk. even tho just their outfits do that but WTVRRR also the lingzhi is used for good looking generals in opera and ykw. he IS a good looking general.
theyre also classing pyro and cryo siblings yaaay overall theyre just designed to be opposites yet very similar you know how it is. when your sibling is your narrative foil when you and your sibling are doomed by the narrative
um their illuminated beast forms were also deisgned with chinese mythological creatures in mind… Puzui’s is loosely based on the Fuzhu and Xueshe’s is even more loosely based on the Tianma.. i just wanted a clydesdale ill be honest

Takashi is the youngest of five kids, his eldest siblings are twins, his sister Izumi and his brother Kaede who are 5 years older then him, then his sister Himiko who's 3 years older and his brother Asuka whos 1 year older!
His mom passed when he was about seven, so he doesn't remember her very well, but what little memory he does have of her are all happy! Both his parents were very attentive to him and his siblings and tried their best to make sure they were happy :)
His sister, Izumi, is the only one who knows that Ethan is a demigod as her husband is a son of Fortuna 🤗
A mutual friend referred Ren to Takashis law firm when he was dealing with his lawsuit, which is how they met
Takashi was in school when he met Nemesis, she appeared as one of his classmates (academic rivals type beat) so you can imagine his surprise when he tried to talk to his classmate their lil adventure and he just goes "lol what" 💀
Ren asked him out to coffee after his lawsuit was settled as a way to thank him and Takashi had to go back and forth with Asuka insisting it wasn't a date (it was a date)
He didn't end up introducing Ren to Ethan as his partner (They'd met briefly because the two of them would talk ab the lawsuit at their houses occasionally) until about two months after they started dating, and they both agreed on a set time period to allow their children to adjust to the other, and if they didn't then they wouldn't continue dating because their kids will always come first 🤷♂️

Obligatory "we see him gardening and wearing a gardeners outfit after the timeskip, so his new main hobby is gardening"
You guys have a garden, mostly flowers and some veggies! I feel like Bump would dip his toes into others kinda of magic after getting his seal removed! Plants magic, obviously
But I also feel like he'd be a potions man, idk, could be my bias for potions since it's like cooking and I LOVE cooking
So hes also growing potion a few ingredients
He has a lil .. thing .. set up in the backyard for frewin to free roam!! Not quite a play ground but more so a little area for the lil guy to stretch his legs and get that enrichment
While he's no longer Hexsides principal, he offers to upkeep some of the plants around school grounds to keep it presentable (see the finale)

Tbh whenever I think ab Myra's situation, it seems like some kind of cosmic horror experience. Cause you're god's special girl, you're being put in situations bcs they say so. You're in an alternative universe with their fav character and act as a guardian or some kind and in another the brunette girl who's father and uncle you date from the prev universe is going through hell. OML OKAY i like john green too <3 i love looking for alaska. i recently read turtles all the way down and oof it hit really hard. next on my tbr is papertowns and then i’ll be done with all of his books (hi i’m obsessed with his writing style hkjg) and ooh i haven’t read any from j.d. salinger. the catcher in the rye is the only book of his i’ve heard of </3 i’ll check him out soon. YUSSSUH i love dystopian books too. dkfjg this just made me realise that they made up almost 60% of my life as a bookworm. the maze runner is my favourite out of all i’ve read !! the adrenaline rush it gave was unparalleled. i’ve also read hunger games, divergent, ready player one and a few more from the dystopian genre but i don’t remember them rn. also unless my physics books count for smth, no i’m not reading anything 😭😭 i was reading war storm by victoria aveyard (the red queen series.) and it’s going good but i’m taking a break bc exams </3

oh these are exams administered not by the school itself but uh. by a company. who charges like 90 dollars per exam. that you statistically will probably not pass. and everyone buys into it because at least taking the course shows you try hard. which helps you get into a good university. better if you scored a 4 or 5, which then again you need to pay to report to Each School You Apply To

yeah im taking calc ab which is like. calc 1? and calc bc is calc 1 and 2 in the same amt of time? maybe its bcs all the smart kids go into calc bc is prob why the pass rate is good
oh yeah uh, the grading goes like ... this. they have very strict guidelines on how to grade. so for frq (free response question) if like any of x, x, or x are true, score whatever number it tells you to. if the response gets past those and if any of x x or x are true, score a 6 or smth. and whether the response reached that, depends on the ap graders, who are stuck into this huge place in like idk minnesota and they just grade all day. all day. like they have a quota of like 200 or 300 exams to go through and grade. for mcq its either right or wrong the computer can grade that they prob just scan it all in the scantron
for language yeah it depends on the teacher and how they prepare you for the test over the years you learn the language idk if you did the STAMP test or whatever but i got like one of the top scores in the class for speaking, a 5 5 6 7 (reading, writing, listening, speaking) so technically i have a good chance at ap japanese exam but am i going to sit through sensei's class for another year? hell the fuck no.
i have no idea where they got that, because i was like "tf is happening" this entire year. so like i don't know. but i passed.
ANYWAYS waaaaa ive been taking a break so its really hard for me to accept that i am hardworking even though a lot of people say so? maybe its because like every time i slack i get scolded by someone at home LOL but ive been resting the last 6 days so yeah (spring break)
