long story short, ballister gives ambrosius the christmas gift and acts oblivious, like a good friend he is.

having witnessed this, i love how their dynamic as adults seems like a very natural progression from what they had as kids. if you just ignore, well, the whole you're my archnemesis and we need to fight each other because of a terrible incident in our past we have never honestly adressed or explained. but yeah, they're just so very sweet and caring, truly a black cat and golden retriver energy at its finest.

based on this i would also guess ambrosius is younger than ballister, with the way he looks and with this childlike innocence and naivety. that, or he's just always been smaller than bal. either way, it makes me think how ambrosius is an easy target for bullies and how ballister feels responsible for him and his safety/happiness. i wonder if looking at the perfect, golden imagine adult ambrosius has created, ballister ever saw the scrawny little boy with a black eye who hid behind his back.

he probably did, huh.

the idea that they were raised together, grew up together, fallen in love at some point, spent their whole lives together, really, makes me go crazy. how both of them lost the only friend they ever had, a friend they were never allowed to fully love.

Has anyone ever dreamt about House? Of course people have. But have you had your entire night filled with dreams about House?

I dreamt that I was one of his fellows or whatever, and he was in a really weird ass good mood. Singing and stuff? Know what my brain did? Make him sing the songs of Hugh's albums. Then he began to serenade me. Did I mention that this took place in a supermarket? We had to take samples because of a case. Thirteen was my bestie ✌🏻 and she dragged me away from him. OK, cool, she atacc, she protecc, but most importantly, she has my bacc. 🫂

At some point I kissed House? And he was super into it 💀 But then I was grabbed by the patient's mother and got choked. 🥲

AND THEN I WENT TO HOUSE'S APARTMENT TO APOLOGISE FOR THAT!?!? BITCH WAT.

So we began to WALK BACK TO THE HOSPITAL? HOUSE WE'RE BOTH CRIPPLES, LETS GRAB YOUR CAR OR WILSON’S IDK? Anyway, he wanted me to touch his leeks, and I thought it was an euphemism for something, but no. They were real leeks. So I did the most logical thing and began to imitate Hatsune Miku. just by his name, i guess. not adding any titles or anything. he's really starting to hate being called the warrior of light, so he'll just say his name - not the name he was born with, nikita, but nika, which is his legal name in just about anywhere but ul'dah - and cringe very very hard at the fangirling that ensues when the other person realises who he is.

his yellow crystal earrings for sure, he wears them all the time and they're probably the most nostalgic object he owns. they're a gift from mina, back when he still lived with his moms.

another one is his dusty ass lute that he probably can and should get replaced, but he sticks to it and will atacc anyone who says it doesn't make good music. it's what made him money before he joined the immortal flames and became the warrior of light and he's so stupidly attached to it he can't will himself to part with it. one way to know he's having A Time TM is if he's carting it around even in places where he isn't about to perform lmao and if you ask about it you get a frown and a "fuck off"

88. When was your OC/WoL at their lowest?

torn between the end of heavensward and the start of the patches and the end of stb patches <3 the former is when he disappears for a few months, leaves his lute with tataru and becomes a drk because regular therapy scares him and sword therapy is right up his alley. he might've lost his mind for a while there, but it's okay.

the latter is when he gets humbled by zenos so badly he needs months to recover from the injuries. a lot of that is the result of being hurt so badly he almost died, and the recovery was downright humiliating because he couldn't do shit, and it's equally humiliating that the near death experience terrified him so badly he can't talk about it.

And I would like to begin this year by commemorating our friendship the same way it started, by simping unnecessarily hard for the best boi: Shiro. After mentally reviewing his story for the 100th time in my mind, thinking about how far he has grown since the first time we "met", and even more, since his birth as a character, I think there is one word that would totally suit him. A word that means to adapt to adversity, to keep fighting no matter what, to never give up. Before, he feared the storm. Now he is the storm. And though I would never stop enjoying depicting him as an edgy grumpy emo boi, the truth is the smol boi is now a big boi. And I'm proud of him.
