saw some speculation on FranklyDear in relation to the audios and i want to toss my two cents in

so all the thing's i've been seeing have been people talking about how they're a couple, but they're not acting like it, so that must be Playfellow's influence making them put distance between each other

but i immediately interpreted it as - they're not there yet. there might be feelings, but they aren't Together. cause in the 14 bug audios, i feel like it's pretty clear that these are snapshots of the neighborhood outside of the show. cameras aren't rolling, there are no influences, it's the neighbors just Existing on their own dime

'cause the conversations are more natural! the characters seem more nuanced! there aren't any sound effects! so if FranklyDear is already established, wouldn't we have "seen" that in their shared audio 8-14? wouldn't Eddie have just called Frank Frank, without the immediate (and somewhat flustered) correction to Mr. Frankly? and wouldn't Frank call him Eddie instead of Mr. Dear? plus, idk about y'all, but that scene was a lil romantically charged. a little flirty - especially from Frank's side. the kind of tension you get from budding emotions, not fully-realized ones

they just seem to be in a before state. the beginning stages. and anyway, i remember Clown saying that revealing FranklyDear as an endgame couple was sort of an Accident? i think we were meant to watch it evolve and figure it out along with the characters, the way we will with any other relationships (that we Definitely are not aware of / confident about yet).

we're still only in the prologue of the story, so it'd make so much sense if Frank and Eddie are not yet Involved. we're on this journey With them

We Could Get To Know Each Other. #twas a classic 'talking about one thing while saying another' phrase - again imo #oh and also its just occurring to me #if the bug audios are 'present day' like i suspect #its entirely possible that franklydear can only 'now' develop bc theyre - well theyre not exactly Free #but playfellow is no longer 'ruling' over them. the influence and pressure - no matter how subconcious it was - is no longer there #freeing them up just enough to maybe... just maybe... truly Feel and perhaps Express interest in each other #just a thought! #that would be another tally in the box explaining why their interaction in the 8-14 audio was Different #there isn't anything holding them back anymore beyond their (possible) own internalized biases & fears & expectations etc

Atsushi is the type who would cup his boyfriend's cheeks and caresses them with his thumbs as he gazes deeply into his eyes with such softness and gentleness that his sunset eyes can hold unlimited specifically for the brunette, and places soft, loving pecks either, on the cheek, lips, temple, between his brow (which is Atsushi's favourite since he can feel Dazai's creases on his forehead slowly untangles as he releases a shaky sigh and Atsushi smiles faintly at that), and sometimes, if Dazai was sitting or laying down, he buries his face against soft, unruly brown locks and presses a gentle kiss on his scalp as he inhales the faint warm scent of the sun and the fragrance of the shampoo he used this morning, some occasions, he would linger on the spot and deepens the kiss slightly but still has its softness.

Dazai, on the other hand... honestly, it depends on his mood. He either kisses just to annoy the hell out of Kunikida (PDA, duh...), or does it in genuine affection (most likely the former, but... okay), like, he would cup Atsushi's cheeks and looks deeply into his eyes in a serious expression for moment before squishing his cheeks together and places an obnoxious, loud kiss on the cheek and ends it with an "mwuah!" And a very proud smirk on his face (and if he's in a very goofy and playful mood, he would just... nom nom onto his cheek, cuz, honestly, I would do too, I mean... look at those mochi cheeks!!), not only does he places those disgustingly wet but surprisingly affectionate (and in Atsushi's opinion, endearing) kisses on his cheeks, but also his nape (mostly when Atsushi is not giving him attention but to someone else), and his forehead, but surprisingly, places a very loving and gentle kiss on it (like how you would do with your cat, y’know?)

I know Bill's the big bad demon everyone is afraid of and he will protect his husband at all costs (when no one's looking), but I think it's also worth mentioning that Dipper, even being the dorky, squishy human that he is, also cares about his dumb demon hubby and wants to keep him safe, even if it annoys Bill, and really, he doesn't need protecting the way Dipper does. He isn't going to puff out his chest and get in someone's face like some macho man, but I think Dipper knee-jerk reaction when Bill's in "danger" isn't to just shrug because he's an all-powerful demon who can handle it. If a blast that could level a whole town was aimed at Bill's head (for him, this just means a bad hair day and a new body), Dipper's immediate impulse is to push him out of the way or defend him against whatever wants to kill his familiar. Because he's not thinking "Bill could literally end this match in .3 seconds." He's thinking "if you touch even one hair on that asshole's head, I'm going to knock yours clean off your shoulders." I don't know what the point even is in this post, just that Dipper is this nerdy, unassuming guy who ends up being viciously protective under the right conditions. Like I think Dipper pulls off the bloody and vengeful look SO well that Bill immediately melts and just lets him handle the situation, even though it's not really Dipper's fight to begin with. He's beating the guy to a pulp with zero reserve, and Bill's off to the side swooning and twirling his hair over his man for getting his hands dirty for him.

It's true! While Bill's not the type to enjoy being underestimated, he has to admit! Seeing his adorable husband all riled up on his behalf is a hell of a sight.

The thing is, Dipper's a good guy! He can't help but put himself in danger over others. Even when all reason and logic say that Bill would be absolutely fine if he got his head exploded or a shiv in his kidney, Dipper's instinct is to fully and immediately get in the way of that. To, in fact, be protective.

Mostly this is only evident when Dipper has to stand up to Ford. Yes, yes, Bill's a vile horrible monstrosity, but he didn't do that particular thing you're accusing him of. Watching him stand up to his uncle is a particular treat!

For bigger threats, though - Well. Bill's gonna be absolutely fine, no matter what happens, thank you very much. But he's definitely not opposed to seeing some guy who was about to literally stab him in the back get a few of his teeth knocked out.

one of my favorite "out of the norm for fanon monoma" monoma headcannons is that he CANNOT flirt. at all.

a lot of people look at sly or cocky characters as absolute rizz gods which is fair most the time but we never actually see monoma flirt with anyone.

I think he knows how to be mean/annoying to an extraordinary level but just cannot flirt or give good compliments for the life of him.

my best canon example of this is that one time kendo was getting ready for that beauty pageant and monoma saw her and basically was like "lmao you actually look nice for someone who's so violent" (he had to verbally clarify that that was a compliment)
