you cuddled up into ethan’s arms, the warmth from his embrace making you feel fuzzy inside. you peered down at your matching pastel pink pyjama pants, that were printed with little hello kitty designs all over. ethan had bought them for the both of you, which was a lovely surprise considering you were extremely fond of the endearing cartoon cat. 

the obsession started out when you were a young child. the moment you saw the adorable white kitten sewed on a blanket, you fell in love. ever since then, birthdays and christmases were filled with variations of the cat. stuffed animals, clothes, and even school supplies were somehow always decorated with the familiar animal. 

your infatuation of the cartoon character seemed to simmer down as you grew older, but it never fully dissipated. for example, when you were a kid you had sheets plastered in the hello kitty pattern, but now in college all that remains on your bed is a stuffed animal of her. however, the simple cat never failed to paint a smile on your face. it wasn’t just her cuteness that drew you toward her, but instead a feeling of nostalgia from your childhood.

ethan smiled, looking down at your face to read your expression. you were deep in thought, staring at your cozy pants. he was captivated by your beauty, and your ability to pull off the comfy look. he was the luckiest man in the entire world. he got to have you, and awesome powers.

your boyfriend, ethan, was your friendly neighborhood spiderman. it was amazing that he was capable of saving lives on the daily, but sometimes his special powers made you feel a little lonely. ethan spent most nights out on the crime-filled streets of new york city, so it was rare you had sleepovers like these. tonight however, he was all yours, and you were free-

the sudden ring of his phone snapped you and him out of your daydreams. he speedily plucked his phone off the coffee table, and answered it. if someone was calling this late at night, you knew it wouldn’t be good. he set off to the other room, with a confused look on his face. his dark brown brows were scrunched together, and his pale lip slightly curled upon hearing the words coming from the device. 

he waltzed into your room, trying to get away so he could hear, and you knew what was going to happen next. you filled with sorrow, realizing that he would have to abandon another night of spending time together. 

a few minutes later, he walked back out. this time, his eyes were stained with sadness and you sighed, waiting for him to declare his departure. 

“y/n, i am so, so sorry but i have-“ ethan starts, but you cut him off, easily able to predict his next words.

“let me guess, another major crime broke out and the city needs their superhero to come save them? it’s okay babe, we can try again another night.” you say, trying to hide your disappointment while kissing him on the cheek. 

“it’s not okay, seriously. i pinky promise you i’ll make it up to you soon. i wish i could stay here with you forever, but we both know i can’t.” he states, and you try your best to smile. he grabs his keys and kisses you farewell, promising to return later that night.

he exited out the front door, presumably to change in his car, so he could go resolve whatever issue was causing this ruckus tonight. 

you then turned the tv off, and trudged to your bedroom, eager to sleep away the dissatisfaction and pain from this evening.

your salty tears stained your pillow as you silently weeped. you loved ethan, but his constant 

abandonment left you feeling heartbroken. you felt selfish, knowing he was out fighting crime, and you still wanted him to be cuddled up with you in bed right now. you slowly fell asleep, now saddled with the heartache of being alone.

ethan was currently swinging as fast as possible through the dark and empty city, rushing so he could he could get back to you. eventually, the pain and exhaustion from the previous fight caught up to him, and he dropped from the buildings to cruise the street. he was out of breath, and every step he took just added to his desire to sleep. although, on his treacherous hike back, the sight of a plushie in a store window made him stop dead in his tracks. it was a large, fluffy hello kitty that stood tall on the shelf, displayed proudly.

he was instantly reminded of you, so he rushed in and grabbed it, slamming enough cash onto the counter before enthusiastically running out. the cashier just stood there, astonished as to what just happened.

ethans heart raced as he began swinging through the tall skyscrapers again. he desperately looked around for your apartment, and when he found it, he impatiently started climbing to reach your bedroom window.

the scattered knocks coming from outside your room woke you up, and you jumped out of your warm bed, cautiously opening your window to see who this strange person was. it was ethan, who breathed heavily through his spiderman costume, with an adorable stuffed animal in hand. 

you moved out of the way so he could escape the cold darkness of outside and enter your heated apartment. he ripped off his mask, the sweat adhering some of his curls to his forehead. the lighting allowed him to see your tear-stained cheeks, and guilt washed over him as he wiped them away. before you could get a word in, he handed you the hello kitty plush and began talking.

“i am so sorry for leaving you unexpectedly like that. i’ve spent so much time away from you, and i understand if you want to break up with me, but i really, really want this relationship to work out because i lov-“ he stopped himself. you had never exchanged those three simple words, and his nerves didn’t allow him to. he just continued on, now more careful of his word choice. 

“because i care about you. i will give up everything for you if you want me to, just say it and this whole spiderman thing will go away.” you look into his honest brown eyes, and glance back down at your new stuffed animal.

“eth, i don’t want to break up with you, nor do i want you to throw away your life. i just want you to spend time with me. you are the most caring boyfriend in the world, but sometimes i just want to cuddle with you, or do something that a normal couple would do.” he brought you into a warm embrace, and you talked it out. he would try to clear up his schedule so you could have a sleepover together at least once a week, plus all of the times you see each other in class.

you provided him with some of his clothes that he left from previous nights, since his pink pants were now lost in his car, and neither of you had the energy to venture out and get them. you lazily climbed into bed with him, moving so you could lay on his chest. before you drifted off into sleep, you made sure to share one last thing. 

“i love you too, by the way.”

Summary: The one where you’re a TikToker and he’s an actor, no one knows you’re dating until it is accidentally revealed by a show host.

  “And we have an amazing guest of Jack Champion!” Drew Barrymore welcomed Jack onto the show. Talking about his TikToks before Drew brought up his coffee order, a small Spider-Man on the cup. “Oooh, you like Spider-Man?” Before Jack could think up an excuse for liking Spider-Man he just spoke. “Oh yeah, but it’s on there because my girlfriend loves Spider-Man, like with a passion. Her favorite to date!” He had rambled on about his girlfriend before even noticing. “Awww cute! You seem lovestruck, who is this girl??” Jack flushed and dismissed the question so she went on to talking about favorite TikToks. “Oh, I really like this one, tell me if you’ve heard of her Jack, Y_n.luvs.dilfs.” Jack flushed, it was very visible on the camera. “She and her boyfriend post such cute videos, oooh she posted a new one!” 

     Drew pulled the TikTok up with the display behind them. Y/n dancing around with a boy, his face covered by a Spider-Man sweater, she had made Jack buy that. She then pulled up the newest one, being Y/n leaning over her camera, holding a coffee cup caption being, “When your bf gets your barista to draw Spider-Man and Hello Kitty on your cups :)” As she turned around walking toward the boy in the Spider-Man sweater, a Spider-Man backpack on her back and a Hello Kitty one on his. Drew turned to Jack, “Hmm, that’s funny.” Jack laughed awkwardly, looking down at his coffee cup. Drew did the same. 

“Well, we were talking about blind dates and Tinder before the show so I wanted to ask your opinion on dates of such. “Oh I feel they’re quite weird, like reading a resume out loud.” Drew nodded, “How did you meet your girlfriend? Was it a blind date?” Jack shook his head, “No we just met out in public, I accidentally spilled coffee on her.”

      “What’s so funny, Y/n?” You smiled, “Just saw a funny post.” You continued to talk to Mason when you picked up your coffee, grimacing at the bitter taste. “Gross.” you looked at the cup to realize it had Hello Kitty on it. “Aww man, he has my coffee!” Mason laughed, “He’s gonna complain about the sweetness for sure.” “Yeah he sure does like his shit bitter.

       “Jack, you haven’t touched your coffee at all.” He scrunched his nose at the thought of the coffee. “It’s too sweet for me.” Drew tilted her head, sipping her own coffee, “Then why get it?” Jack laughed, “It’s actually my girlfriend’s, she has mine.” He ended up drinking some of it anyway, not really the way he liked his coffe, but the sweetness reminded him of you. “Wait, when we met last night you had a Hello Kitty bag.” Drew re-called, laughing slightly. “Oh yeah, me and my girlfriend have that Spider-Man boyfriend, Hello Kitty girlfriend dynamic, but she’s the Spider-Man nerd.” Drew laughed, “Your mom told me about that. That’s cute!” 

    “Okay onto our next interview activity, you may know this from the Ellen show but today we are going to do a phone swap.” Jack raised his eyebrow, confusion gracing his features. “Okay so we swap phones and make one call on each other’s phones.” Jack, when handed Drew’s phone, called Matthew Lillard who didn’t pick up. Drew looked through his contacts for a moment, deciding who her victim would be, when she stumbled upon the perfect contact name. “Babygirl<3?” Drew asked aloud, looking at Jack, who’s face flushed. “My girlfriend.” Drew pressed ring and put the phone on speaker and rang her up, since she was on a live the phone went to voicemail, “This is Y/n! Sorry I couldn’t make it to the phone, I’ll call you back.” Jack flushed as Drew’s face lit up in excitement, “Y/n?!”

      Jack’s contact name lit up on your screen and then disappeared. “Oh, so i’m going to end my live now because my boyfriend called me and I need to call him back, byeeee Mason!” You smiled, and ended your live, calling Jack “What’s up baby boy?” You had no idea your voice was on speaker, “Hi, this is Drew Barrymore!!”  You let out a squeak, “Drew Barrymore??” You could hear Jack’s small chuckle from the other side of the phone. “So it’s been confirmed, Y_n.luvs.dilfs. is dating Jack Champion! So you bought him the Hello Kitty backpack?” “Yeah.” You turned on your television quietly. There Jack was, right on screen next to Drew who had his phone in her hand as he had his head down on her table. When he looked up, he stared straight at his phone. “How long are you gonna embarrass me?” You giggled quietly which Jack heard through the phone, “Hey, don’t make fun of me!” You both laughed as Drew cut into the conversation. “So, did you drive Jack here? If so, you should come pick him up early so I can talk to you.” You were silently fangirling about the idea of meeting Drew Barrymore as you got into your car. “That sounds good.”

        “Well guys, while Y/n drives over to get Jack and meet with us we’ll be talking to our next celebrity guest!” Jack sat behind set, watching some of your TikToks, his favorite on being you dancing around your room with your heart-shaped sunglasses on, lip-syncing Lana Del Ray as he layed on the bed behind you, smiling. He knew his smile wasn’t visible on the camera but he remembered watching you record. You then walked up to him, a visitor badge lanyarded around your neck. “Hey baby!” He smiled up at you, leaning in for a kiss. “Hello princess!” He kissed you softly before you were both called back up to Drew’s set.

THE sound of people talking filled the locker room. "okay, let me repeat the errands. everyone's cool with helping right?" they nodded in unison. "of course we are! it's (y/n)'s birthday after all, she always makes all of our birthdays a big deal, we need to do the same for her." bayley said. "right." cody took a second to open up his notes ap. "bianca with the cake, rhea and dom with decorations, brock with balloons-" "shit, now i gotta get balloons?" the big wrestler cut him off. "you wanna bail out?" brock shook his head. "anything for (y/n), i'll get those damn balloons." they laughed. "okay, let me continue."

your birthday was coming up and everyone made sure that it was going to be a big thing, especially for your boyfriend, cody. you were loved by everyone, even the crews. you made sure that everyone was enjoying their time with you, on and off stage. "have you talked to creatives about this?" roman asked. "yeah, they allowed it. we're gonna do it after our match." the black-haired wrestler nodded. "damn, i can't believe you're gonna fight her on her birthday." he added. "well i guess it's really her lucky day."

on the other side of the locker room, you were getting out of your gear. to your surprise, the locker room was empty. it was weird seeing your coworkers not messing around, but you brushed it off. as soon as you were out of your gear, you walked out of the room. "hi todd! you did a good job today!" you saw one of the crews carrying his camera. "thanks, (y/n). as soon as i developed these rolls, i'll email you. got some cool shots of you slamming cody on the table." you chuckled at his sentence.

speaking of your boyfriend, where is he? you thought. you pulled out your phone, calling him. "hey babe, where are you?" you asked. "hey, sweetheart. wait in the parking lot, okay? i'll be right there in a second." he replied. "okay baby, i love you." "and i love you too!" with that, the call ended. you passed several crews, trying your best to keep a positive attitude despite feeling tired after work. there was a sudden commotion near locker room b, you couldn't help but to take a quick peek.

"hello, why is it so crowded here?" your voice caught everyone off-guard. "oh, hi babe!" you said, as soon as you spotted your boyfriend in the middle of the other superstars. "hi babe." the worry from his face disappeared when he realized that you didn't hear the conversation. "we were just talking about how we could differentiate locker room a and b, since it gets kinda confusing." dominik made up an instant lie. cody took a note to buy him coffee for his smooth lie. "i know right! i once walked into montez trying to fix his pants!" "hey, that was embarrassing!" the entire locker room sighed in relief as you had no idea what was going on.

to say the least, cody was stressed out. everything was ready, everything except for your present. he wanted to give you the perfect present and he had no idea what to buy you. you were called by your manager to talk about your future bookings, leaving him alone in the house with your dogs. "you got any idea what we should buy her, p?" pharaoh only wiggled his tail in response. "you're no help." cody sighed.

he groaned in despair, pacing around the house, still looking for ideas. his thoughts were cut-off by his phone ringing. "fuck, thank god you called." cody heard rhea and dominik arguing in the call. "we got the decorations already. where do you want us to put it?" dominik asked. "you can keep it in your trunk, we can bring them inside on d-day." cody replied, still fiddling with his shirt. "alright, then everything's ready." rhea's voice came to the call-line. "wait," cody paused for a second. "i still don't know what to get her."

silence filled the call as cody waited for their answers. "you know, she took an interest in dominik's engagement ring, she almost cried seeing it. does that say anything about her?" then it clicked. it was the perfect timing after all. he was going to propose to you. "god, fuck! rhea, i'm buying you coffee tomorrow. thank you so much!" he immediately got dressed and drove off to the mall.

"i got the perfect ring for (y/n)." cody's eyes lit up with excitement since he had no idea what ring to buy you. "she came here with bianca for her engagement ring, we talked a bit about her dream ring... i also keep notes on my customers incase their partners ever come here to buy a jewelry for them." he pulled out a notepad filled with names. "(y/n) took an interest in this ring." the man excused himself to get the jewelry.

it was a diamond ring, pure and brilliant–cody could imagine you wearing the ring already. "god, that's perfect." he muttered, examining it. "i mean she will like it, she mentioned something about the thought behind it, so what made you decide that it's time?"

cody knew that you were the one when you first met him. you came back to the industry not long after him, due to your injuries. everyone seemed to talk highly of you, making him interested in meeting you, and they were right. everyone knew that the two of you were going to end up with each other. it didn't surprise them when you started dating him. maybe it was the way you were willing to drop everything for him, or the way you made space on the bed for him every time he came home late, or maybe, no one has ever loved him the way you do.

the man was in love and he couldn't wait to spend the rest of his life with you.

days went by and you were busy with work. you couldn't wait to go home. it was a tiring day and you just wanted to go home. it was your birthday tomorrow and you couldn't careless. it was just another day, you thought. sure, you were excited, but with work, nothing else mattered. "hi baby, how was your day?" your mood was lifted up as soon as you saw your boyfriend. "HI BABYYYYYYY!" you yelled, leaping into a hug. cody had no choice but to drop his bottled water to catch you. "missed you the entire day, you left me and p alone." cody fake pouted. "sorry, i was doing work stuff. but i'm here now!"

the night went on, you cooked dinner and cody helped with the dishes. you talked about your day and he talked about his day as well. it turned out that he was pretty bored without you, he said he spent the day just laying around, saving up his energy for tomorrow. you couldn’t help but to chuckle as his laziness sometimes. the domestic life of yours was one of the reasons why you loved your day offs. it was just you and him (and pharaoh, your dog), just laying around, not doing anything. today was actually your day off but you got called by your manager–leaving cody alone to his own business.

"i can't wait for tomorrow." you chuckled, petting pharaoh. the two of you were lying on the bed, saving up the energy for tomorrow. "excited for your birthday or excited to beat my ass?" you laughed at his sentence. "i'm excited to be with you, that's all." you replied, earning a smile from him. "i love you so much and i'm thankful that we're together." you mimicked his expression. "god, (y/n). you're such a blessing, i love you too."

the alarm caught you both with a surprise. "happy birthday baby."

"here comes the birthday girl, happy birthday!" your friends greeted you as soon as you stepped inside the arena. "thank you loves." you hugged them all. "how are you feeling today?" dominik asked. "feeling great, i'm beating my boyfriend's ass today!" cody groaned. "i'm letting you beat me because i love you." you couldn't help but to smile at his response. "i'll see you later babe, gotta change to my gear." you kissed his forehead and walked away from the scene.

"ready for tonight?" dominik nudged him. "course i am." cody replied, pulling out the ring box from his pocket. "shit, man. good luck." the wrestler wasn't nervous of his fight tonight, he was nervous with his proposal. of course he was nervous, it was going to be a special moment for the two of you.

you were already in your gear, ready to face your boyfriend. your makeup was also done and you were standing in the sidelines, waiting for your song to play. your boyfriend practically skipped his way to your side. “ready?” he asked. “as ready as i should be.” he couldn’t understand your positivity sometimes. "good luck out there, baby." he gave you a hug and you returned the gesture. "good luck getting your ass beat, baby!" your song started to play and it was time to go out.

the match started and it played off beautifully. you hit him with your signature moves and he did the same. it was quite an irony for you to finish the match with a cross rhodes, but it made the crowd go wild. he slightly nodded at you, wanting you to do the finisher move. "a cross rhodes by (y/n), what an irony!" the commentator yelled. you pinned cody in the middle of the ring, locking his legs with your forearm. the audience counted down and it was official, you were the winner. "here is your winner, (y/n) (l/n)." the crowd went wild as you took the belt and did your signature pose. the cameras went off, the show ended.

all the sudden, the lights went off–causing you to jump a bit. the next thing you knew, your boyfriend was gone. he wasn't in the middle of the ring. you looked around, trying to find him. "we heard it's someone's birthday today!" you heard your boyfriend's voice. you looked up and saw your friends on the other side of the stage. they were all wearing party hats, even the audience was wearing them as well. your heart skipped a beat as you smiled.

"happy birthday, (y/n)." everyone chanted. you couldn't help but to cry. the support you had was overwhelming and you were very thankful to have your friends and your boyfriend on your side. they got inside the ring, with cody carrying the cake. "happy birthday, baby." he smiled. "blow the candle now!" jey commented. "okay, okay." you chuckled. you blew the candles and everyone cheered on you.

your friends gave you a big group hug and brock passed balloons to you. it was quite comical to see such a big man carrying pink balloons, you thought. you had the mic now. "oh my god, everyone..." you stuttered. "thank you so much for this, god... i can't express how thankful i am to be here." you chuckled, still holding the balloons brock gave you. "i don't want to make this a big deal today because it's just another day for me. but hey, i just won the match and it's my birthday!" you smiled, intertwining cody's hands with you.

you made eye-contact with him, giving him the biggest smile that he had ever seen. "i love you." you mouthed. "and i love you too." he replied, like usual. "anddd i love my friends, i love you all too! thank your coming out today." it was true that one of the best wrestling moments happens when the cameras were already off. everyone was having the time of their lives.

"now, now. everyone calm down." cody had the mic. "we'd like to thank your parents for bringing a sunshine to our lives." the crowd cheered. "who here is always excited to see (y/n) wrestler?" cody asked the crowd, earning cheers from the crowd once again. "everyone loves her but i got some news for everyone..."

he breathed out, "today was the last day (y/n) will perform under her (l/n) family name." you furrowed your eyebrows in confusion. "because the next time she'll be in the ring, it'll be (y/n) rhodes." you were still trying to process what was happening. the next thing you knew, cody was kneeling down in front of you–a ring box in his hand. your eyes widened in surprise as you realized that he was proposing to you.

"(y/n), will you marry me?"

He beamed after a moment, knowing that you would not stop berating him until he let you treat him. “Thank you.” You thanked and smiled at him for a moment before going back to looking at the menu, the smile not leaving your complexion.

“Trust me. With the grace she has, there’s no one better”.

Gosh, he was still so dashing. “You haven't lost even a bit of the cuteness you've always had, Gojo.” You responded, smirking as a slight blush appeared on his face but the smirk he adorned never left it. “Trying to charm me, aren’t you?” “You started it. Guess, I'm just playing the game better than you?” “Better than me? I'm the greatest! I'll just have to show you how much of a damn great charmer I am.”
