WARNINGS: Minors and ageless blogs dni. Sexually explicit content under cut.
( A/n I haven't written SMUT in So long So I'm a bit rusty. But anyways I hope you enjoy)
Small summary: after getting injured during the battle with Hol-Horse and Hanged Man you and Avdol go into hiding in an island until you've both recoverd. But a few nights before at one of the hotels you were staying at things got a little heated between you two and it would be gone further if someone didn't interrupt.
Small mentions: Avdol x f!reader, Avdol being a bit shy, SMUT, 18+, body worship, reader is a stand user but it’s not used
Tumblr media
"So how long do we need to stay on this island?" I asked Avdol as he gathered some eggs from his chicken, "Just a few days until Mr. Joestar comes to pick us up. Until then, we both need to recover from our injuries." I got hurt along side Avdol while fighting Hol horse and Hanged Man. "How long was I passed out for?" He placed the basket down. "About a day or two. The Speed Wagon foundation should be dropping by with some more medication for us." He sighed, "In the meantime would you mind helping me make breakfast." I stood up from my spot, "Sure."
We headed back inside and started cooking the eggs. "Have you been able to explore the island yet?" I asked Avdol. he was cutting a banana into small pieces for us both, "I did yesterday with some members of the Speed Wagon. There nothing suspicious here as of yet." I grunted taking in the information he gave me. "So... What do we do now?" I took a bit from the fruit he did the same, "We wait until Mr. Joestar and the others come to get us." The rest of the day Avdol and I cleaned and watched how some of the chickens fought for their food.
Night had finally fallen. We both went inside, I didn't realize it until now but, "Why is there only one bed?"
"Y/n this is a small house, two beds wouldn't fit in here." Avdol sat down on the bed, I stared at the bed still thinking if its a good idea for us to be laying in the same bed. "I can assure you I won't bite... If you want I could sleep on the small couch." He points towards the couch behind me. "I-its fine, I just zoned out for moment." I walked over to the other side of the bed, "Plus, you're a big guy. I don't want you sleeping on that small thing." Laying down in bed I looked up at the ceiling, my eyes slowly shutting.
It was now dark out the only thing that was lighting up the room a dim candle light that was slowly fading and the moonlight entering the room. Looking beside me there was an empty spot, "Where's Avdol?" I asked myself. I slowly got out of bed feeling groggy and walked towards the living room, the front door was opened. I was now wide awake and draw out my stand. As I was about to walk out I saw Avdol sitting at the entrance. "Are you trying to give me a heat attack?"
"My Apologize Y/n." I placed my hand on his shoulder and sat down next to him looking up at the stars, "It's fine.... Couldn't sleep?" I asked him, "No I couldn't. Something was keeping me up."
"Was I snoring?! I'm so sorry I didn't mean to keep you u-" Avdol chuckled slightly at me panicking. "No I uh ... It's just been awhile since you and I were alone." I felt my cheeks burning at the thought of that night we spent together; the way Avdol kissed me gently, the soft whimpers escape my lips as he kissed my neck and things were getting heated until Polnareff walked in and almost caught us. Since that night We agreed not to talk about it again.
"Were you thinking about that night?" He looked at me, under the moonlight I can tell he was a bit flustered, "I was... I wanted to see more of you... Hear more from you... Please you." With each word he leaned in placing a kiss on my lips once, twice, and I then pulled him closer to me closing what little gap we had between us.
In a swift movement I was now on top of Avdol, we pulled away catching our breath. "Let's go inside it'll be more comfortable in the bed." I got off of him and lead him to the bed. he sat down and I got on top of him wrapping my arms around his neck he tensed up under my touch. "Are you sure you wanna do this Y/n your don't h-" I kissed his cheek and whispered in his ear. "I've been wanting to do this again since that night at the hotel."
A few candles relit around the room, I caught a quick glimpse of magicians red. He placed both hands on my hip pushing me down onto his bugle a muffled gasped escaped my lips, he was already hard... Avdol let out a pleasurable sigh as  I started teasing him by slightly bouncing on his clothed bugle. "Y-y/n~"
He pulled me closer to him kissing and nibbling at my neck, his hand now making their way inside my shirt. His hands trailed up and down my body, giving me shivers. Avdol lifted up my shirt now kissing my chest and  playing with my nipples one hand squeezing and burying his face between my breasts, leaving excited kisses, "Avdol~" He'd slowly lied me down upon bed gently stripping his and mine cloth off. His member slipping out, "You're so big" I took his member in my hand passing a teasing stroke on it. He started moving his hips a bit, "Please don't tease, my love." He moaned closing his eyes. He grabbed his member aligning himself at my entrance. "Are you ready?" He asked, "Yes." I nodded. I could feel his tip slowly entering me, "Ah~"
"Are you okay~" Avdols thrust were slow, "Y-yeah~" Even though he was starting at a slow pace I couldn't help whimper with each movment. After some time I was able to adjust to his size.
Wet squishing sounds fill the bedroom along with my soft gasps. "Avdol i-..." I couldn't speak. The amount of pleasure he was giving me had me choking on my words. "Y-you're getting tighter... A-are you close?" I nodded, words failing to come out. He started slowing down, "N-no don't s-stop." He looked at me a bit shocked, "But I'm gonna overstimulate you. It might hurt you." Through the flickering candle light I could see the concern in his eyes. I pulled him in and kissed him, "I-its fine Keep going until you cum." He nodded grabbing my legs and throwing them over his shoulder closing the gap between us the best he could and thrusting faster. "Fuck~" That was the first time I've ever heard him curse. I'd already reached my high, Abdul was now chasing his.
His thrust were getting sloppy, he removed my legs from his shoulder and kissed me muffling his moan as he came. He started slowing down and pulling out, "Fuck~" He was breathing heavily looking down at me. He leaned in kissing my forehead "Can you move?" I was too tired  to move. "I'll be right back." He grabbed a rag and cleaned me and himself off. After he was done he laid down in bed with me wrapping his arms around me and pulled me closer to him, "Avdol, I love you." He chuckled caressing my  head, "I love you too."
The next morning Avdol was on a call with Mr. Joestar while I was making breakfast. "I see... I'll tell Y/n about the plan then." He hung up, "What happened?" I asked him, he walked up behind me wrapping his arms around my waist and placing his head on top of mine. "Mr. Joestar will be coming soon to get us..." I could tell there was more to that "And?"
" And he wants us to play a prank on kakyoin and polnareff. He wants us to pretend to be my parents. " I stopped chopping the onions setting the knife aside and faced him his hands still on my waist, "I'm sorry but I refuse."
"It wouldn't hurt, would it y/n?" I sighed, "Avdol did you forget that polnareff is a literal walking stand magnet. Remember I can see two different possibilities in the furture. One is that he'll run, a stand gets him and two that he actually stays still for once. I have a feeling his gonna run away and some stand users gonna get him."
"We'll just have to see," he kissed my forehead, " if you'd like you could stay inside while we're playing the prank on them."
"You really want to play the prank on them don't you Avdol?" He nodded. I chuckled turning back around to continue cooking, "I'll stay inside then."
Avdol pulled me closer to him kissing my cheek. "Can you help me look older before they come... They'll be here later on today."

It is official, you are now a full fledged FBI agent. You walk up the steps to your new bosses office, final admission founder in hand. You knock on his already open door, waiting for him to verbally give permission to walk in.
“I have my updated personnel file for you, and my admission and clearance levels.” You walk to the front of his des, handing him both items.
“Thank you.” He takes them, nodding his head for you to sit down in one of the two chairs behind you. As you take a seat, he flips through the files, making sure all is in order, before laying them to the side. He looks back up to you then, “I’m sorry your start date got pushed back, but I thought it to be better if you officially started while I was here.”
You shake you head at his apology, understanding, “No apology necessary, Sir. Besides, it gave me time to actually unpack my apartment.” You don’t know exactly what happened, only that he was in the hospital and then out of work for a week recovering. “It’s Hotch, please. How long have you lived there?” He questions in a curious tone.
You wince, taking in a breath, “Too long to admit out loud without being embarrassed.”
You think there is a hint of a smile on his face, but you can’t tell. You’ll count it in the win column anyway, he doesn't seem to hate you. He looks down to his watch and then gathers some reports, standing up. You follow his lead, “I assume you have your go bag ready?”
“Yes sir- Hotch.” You fix yourself. Your nerves are showing, and your brains need to be as professional as possible is making it hard to abide by his request.
He doesn't comment on the slip, ignoring it completely as he leads you into a conference room, “Good. We have a case.”
You follow him into the room, watching as he sets up the tablets and folders around the table. He takes a seat once he's done, prompting you to do the same. You’re afraid the team might have certain seats they like to sit, and you don’t want to make any enemies the first day on the job, but staying standing until everyone arrives doesn't seem like the better option. You sit down, two seats away from your boss.
The team all seems to arrive at the same time, greeting their boss as they make their own way into the room and around the table, “It’s good to have you back, Hotch.”
“It’s good to be back. Thanks.” He then turns to you, reintroducing you to the everyone, “She will be joining the team.”
Everyone welcomes you, introducing themselves, though, you remember everyone already, you don't mention it. Penelope Garcia sends you a big smile and wave that has you smiling gratefully. Warm welcomes haven't always been the normal in your experience, so you'll gladly take them.
“And under the heading of no rest for the weary…” Aaron gets everyone on track, looking to Garcia to start the briefing.
“A woman was found dead yesterday near Provo, Utah, buried under a pile of rocks.” The time scene photos get pulled up onto the monitor.
“24 hours layer she’s still Jane Doe?” Reid questions as he looks over the M.E. report.
“No personal items were found at the scene, and the severity of her injuries made official recognition impossible.” Hotch informs.
Garcia takes over again, “So provo missing person has like zero intel on her.”
“It looks like she was tortured.” You finally comment, looking at the pictures of the victim.
“Lacerations on both arms and a burn in the neck area.” Derek agrees with you.
“It could be the killers way of silencing her, literally and figuratively.” JJ theorizes.
Rossi hums, “The robe she’s in almost looks ceremonial.”
“The unsub must have changed her clothing.” Reid supplies.
“Covering her with rocks might be a concealment or an expression of remorse.” Blake guesses.
“It looks like makeshift tomb,” Rossi squints at the monitor, “If you ask me.”
“Have there been similar killings in the area?” JJ turns to ask Hotch.
“None that we know.” He answers.
Rossi raises his eyebrows, “I’m impressed, Hotch. How’d you get the brass to let us investigate a single, isolated murder?”
“I told them that the ritualistic nature means that he’s forensically sophisticated and organized snd he’s likely killed before.” He answers.
“And likely will kill again.” Blake finishes.
Hotch stands, gathering his files, “Which means we can’t waste time. Wheels up in 20.”
You watch as everyone follows suit, doing their own little routines, before piling into the SUV’s and heading to the jet. You sit at one of the single chairs new the front of the plane, as everyone else takes a seat in the back. “Hey kid,” Rossi calls out to you, “We don’t bite.”
“Unless you ask nicely.” Morgan smirks from behind him.
You raises your eyebrow at him, “How many times have you been written up for sexual harassment?”
That causes laughter from both JJ and Reid, while Morgan looks at you wide eyed, not expecting you to say anything back.
“Ignore him.” Hotch mutters as he passes by, laying his bag on the single seat across the aisle from yours and moving to the couch with his case files. He looks over to you once he’s seated, “We usually meet around this table and the disperse after going over more theorize for the case.”
Picking up your case files, you follow his direction and make yourself comfy on the other end of the couch, Reid sitting in-between you and your boss. Everyone else was seated around the four chair table.
“Let’s start with the basics.” Morgan gets the conversation going, “Those rocks were heavy, so our killer’s most likely male, probably in goof physical shape.”
Blake tilts her head, thinking, “There could be more than one unsub.”
A beep on the monitors draws everyones attention to Garcia, “Newsflash. We just got lucky with dental records. Our Jane Doe is Gloria Carlyle, 24-year-old grammar school teacher. One red flag, and it’s pretty scarlet, carmine, crimson. She used to belong to a utopian sect in town. She joined it right out of high school.”
You're impressed by how fast she talks and how much she says without having to take any breaths or breaks, something you do not have the skill of.
“Used to belong?” Rossi questions.
“Mm-hmm.” Garcia hums, “She left the sect 3 months ago and she moved in with her boyfriend.”
“Do we know the boyfriends whereabouts?” JJ asks.
“He’s in Alaska, so his alibi’s as solid as a pre-globally warmed glacier.” She answers.
You laugh softly at her words, earning a side glance from Reid who sends you a friendly smile. You return in hesitantly before going back to the case files.
“Garcia,” You call, “Is the sect run by a man named Herbert Sykes?”
“Why, yes it is, our new crime fighting, badass, superhero. How did you know that?” She questions.
You get flustered at her nicknames, and the stares from your new teammates, but you power through, kind of. Well, your voice doesn't waver at least, “Um, 5 years ago a teenage girl was found dead on the grounds of his compound. It was determined to be an honor killing of sorts.”
“The girl was stoned to death.” Reid supplies, nodding at you.
“Red flag, just got redder.” Rossi comments.
“All right,” Hotch starts to give out orders to the team, “Dave and Blake find out what you can about Gloria Carlyle from the medical examiner. Morgan and Reid go to the crime scene.” He calls out your nam next, “You, JJ and I will talk to Gloria’s family as well as have a chat with Herbert Sykes.”
Tumblr media
Once at the station, Hotch sends JJ to talk to the family, while you go with him into the interrogation room to interview Herbert Sykes.
“I was uh, shocked, when I heard.” Sykes tells the both of you, sitting leisurely on the other side of the table. His words give off that he is trying to be sympathetic, but his body language shows the opposite to you, he doesn't care. “Even though Gloria chose to leave the community, her loss will be felt.”
“We heard that you had a fight with Gloria the day that she left the community.” Hotch tells him.
You fold your hands on top of the table, tilting your head at Sykes, “This had something to do with your claim of divine heritage?”
“I am the spiritual leader of my community. As such I often speak allegorically or in parables.” He defends himself.
You nod once, “But Gloria took the divine heritage business literally.”
“Yes. She dug around in my family history looking for, uh… Who knows what. God, Buddha…Zeus.” Sykes laughs.
Neither you, nor Hotch find his comment funny. Hotch continues,”We were also told that Gloria was threatened by members of the community when she announced her intention to leave.”
Sykes shakes his head, “I have no knowledge of that.” He looks down at the table before looking back up. He’s lying again.
“So the friends she made there weren’t told to shun her?” You question him, though, you already know the answer.
Sykes face falls to more of an impassive expression, knowing he’s been caught in a lie. Hotch carries on with the interrogation. “Let’s talk about the stoning death 5 years ago.”
Sykes looks back and forth between you and Hotch for a moment, “Since you seem to know the answers to the questions you've been asking, why don’t you tell me?” Then his voice gets a little harder, “Look, the guilty party was sent to prison, where he belongs. What else do you want to know.”
“Reviewing the original case file, you were less than forthcoming in the initial stages of the investigation.” Hotch studies him.
“You hired a public relations firm in the wake of the murder.” You comment.
Sykes sighs, shaking his head, “It took me years to build my community. My investment was— is substantial. I was not going to watch it go under because of one tragic incident. I think we’re done.” He stands up, reaching into his inside suit pocket.
“We might have some more questions so please keep yourself available for the next few days.” You tell him.
“The law firm of Gordon, Foxman, and Mendlovich.” He hands you a card, trying to intimidate you, “Not local yokels— wall street. Drag my name through the mud on this, like you did 5 years ago, and they’ll be in touch.”
Hotch stands as well, looking down at him due to being taller, “Mr.Sykes, we’re investigating a murder, and I don’t speak in parables so this should be very easy to understand.” Hotch is far more intimidating that Sykes if you had to choose, and watching him right now, you understand the rumors surrounding him. This is not the man that did your initial interview, this man is hard and unnerving. A force to be reckoned with. “If you interfere with us in any way, I will see to it that you are charged with and prosecuted for obstruction of justice.”
Sykes leaves the room shortly after having a little starring contest with your boss. You and Hotch follow him out, watching as he leaves.
Hotch looks over to you, studying you, “What do you think?”
It’s a test, you know it is. He want’s to see what you’ve profiled, what you took from the interrogation. “I think he’s telling the truth about not knowing. He thrives off of the power he gets from his community, but money means more to him than ideology. It’s why he’s worried about these murders.” “Because he took a big finical hit after the stoning death.” Hotch nods, agreeing with you. His face remains passive, but you think you can see a hint of a smile cross his lips, “Good work in there.”
You don’t admit it, and do you best not to let it show, but being complimented by Aaron Hotchner, even such a small one like you just got, makes you feel extremely capable. It’s like he just washed away any lingering anxiety you had left with those 4 words.
Tumblr media
“JJ, were you able to contact Abby Stafford’s family?” Hotch asks, putting up a picture onto the case board in the conference room.
JJ continues writing out one of the reports, “No. They're vacationing somewhere in Europe. We’re tracking them down. But I did talk to a friend of hers. She said Abby was a conservative, studious type. No drama. No enemies.” Morgan walks into the room, interrupting the conversation, “I just got off the phone with Rossi. The M.E. says the new victim died roughly a week ago. Had the same laceration marks and throat burning, but the wounds weren't anywhere near as severe as Gloria Carlyle’s.”
“We was still warming to the task.” You state. Looking down at the victims pictures, “He definitely has a type.”
“Young, Blonde, and pretty.” JJ agrees.
“The elements in common to both murders aren't giving us much. Let’s concentrate on the deviations.” Hotch requests.
“Ok, well, Abby was thrown off a cliff. Gloria was entombed.” JJ states.
“He left Abby in her own clothes but changed Gloria into a robe.” You supply. Getting a nod from Hotch.
“The M.E. found another difference.” Morgan adds, “Apparently Gloria’s fingernail polish had been removed by the unsub. Abby’s hadn't been tampered with at all.”
“Well, abby’s death was quick and impersonal— no muss, no fuss. But gloria was slowly crushed.” JJ tilts her head. “He took his time to make her suffer.”
“All the deviations in Gloria’s murder involve increased ritual. It’s got to be feeding a fantasy of some kind.” Hotch theorizes.
You hum, “And it’s evolving. He’s finding what he want’s and doesn't in the ritual.”
“It explains why the torture was more intense with Gloria. The ritual fed the fantasy, the fantasy fed the rage.” Morgan concludes.
Tumblr media
“Our unsub chose the right role model. Stoughton was the most ruthless of all of the salem prosecutors.” You supply to the team.
Reid agrees, going into a little tangent, “Our killer’s also emulating the methods of execution at the time of the trials. Witches were thrown off the cliffs, hung, slowly crushed by rocks.”
“So the family cost thing,” The local sherif asks, “Is that his way of honoring the guy?”
“It’s more than that. He may believe he’s a direct descendant of Stoughton.” Hotch answers him.
“Garcia, were you able to run a history yet of the Stoughton family tree?” You ask her over the speaker phone in the middle of the table.
“It isn't so much a tree as it is a giant sequoia—“ Her voice comes through, “Branches, twigs, roots, sticks, limbs, pine cones, woodpecker holes.”
You laugh softly at her rant, earning an amused look from your boss who is seated next to you. You quickly straighten up, continuing to listen to Garcia, “There are literally thousands of Stoughtoen’s descendants out there.” “Are there any in the Provo or Salt Lake City area?” Blake asks her.
“Yeah, a handful, but none of them fit the unsub’s profile.”
“Can you send me the Stoughtons’ ancestors chart?” Reid requests.
You hear typing over the speaker, “Did you hear the part I said about the giant Sequoia? I can send it to you, but unless your laptop screen is the size of a drive—in movie theater—”
“Send it any.” Reid interrupts her, “We’ll print out a hard copy here.”
You look across the table at him, “Think you’re going to need a bigger copy machine.” Making Blake smile at your joke, and gaining another amused glance from Hotch.
Tumblr media
You stand up from your desk, stretching your legs and back, before grabbing your finished action report. You send Morgan a friendly smile as you pass him, the two of you being the only ones left in the bullpen. His report is a little longer than the others, having fired the shot in the field, while you just wanted to make sure your first ever after action case report didn’t have any mistakes. You walk up the stairs, towards your bosses office, and knock on the door, waiting for the permission to enter.
“Here you go, Sir.” You hand him the report.
He sends you a look for the ‘Sir’, but thanks you as well. Before you can turn to walk out he stops working on the file in front of him, putting his pen down, “You did very well on this case.” “Thank you.” You tell him bashfully.
He studies you for a moment, “We jump from case to case at a fast rate than most units.”
“I’m aware, Sir.” You nod, a little confused about why he is bringing that up. Everyone is aware about how many cases this team takes on a regular basis.
“You don’t always have the time to reflect like you need, in a job like this.” He explains,“I’m only telling you because at some point, you are going to get overwhelmed, and when that happens, I want you to know that the teams here for you, and my door is always open.”
You send him a grateful smile, “Thank you, Hotch.” Getting one back. You turn to leave as he picks up his pen, starting on the mountains of files that have a permanent home on his desk. When you reach for the door, he calls out to you again, “Are you going to Garcia’s tomorrow?”
You look back to him, “I don't know.” You tell him truthfully. Garcia had invited you to the halloween, seance thing, she has planned for the team. But you aren't really sure if you want to go. You got a little closer to the team on this first case, but you still feel like an outsider sometimes. It’s going to take some time before it feels like a home.
“You should go. The team would really like it if you did.” Hotch nods.
You ponder for a second, before sending another small smile, wishing you boss a goodnight, and leaving his office.
Maybe I will go. I should give this 'team family' thing a chance.
Tumblr media
“Witches were never burned at the stake in Salem.” You tell Rossi, standing in Garcia’s living room, drinking a glass of wine.
“Really?”
You hum, “Death by fire was strictly a European thing.”
“Moral of the story,” Rossi jokes, “Be selective where you practice your witchcraft.”
You laugh, trying not to choke on the sip of wine you had just taken. A knock on the door has you and Rossi looking back, Garcia opening the door for the new comer.
“I thought you said you couldn't come.” Garcia greets your boss.
“Well, Jack got a last-minute sleep over invitation,” Hotch explains himself, “So I hope it’s ok.”
“Yes, of course, of course.” Garcia ushers him in.
Rossi raises his glass at him while you make eye contact. Out of everyone on the team, you feel Aaron Hotchner is going to take the longest to get a read on. The man is a magician at hiding his emotions, and you don’t think you will ever figure out his tells. But he is also the team member that intrigues you the most.
You chalk it up to his mysterious demeanor, and not the fact he is extremely handsome. Because he is you boss. Your much older, wiser, widowed, has a kid, boss. And that sort of thinking would be inappropriate.
It still lingers, however. Especially seeing him in civilian clothes for the first time.
A polo t shirt and jeans should not look that good.
You look away before you get caught checking him out. That would be embarrassing, and considering Rossi would probably be the one to catch it, that would just make it even more horrifyingly so.
“Ok, everybody, I guess it’s time to start.” Garcia grabs another glass of wine, handing it to Hotch, “Here you go, Sir.”
“Thank you.” He takes it, as everyone gathers around. Hotch makes his way between you and Rossi. His cologne fills your scenes, and you have to stop yourself from leaning closer and basking in it.
Highly inappropriate.
“I want to thank everybody for doing this with me,” Garcia starts, speaking softly, “And our altar’s burning, and I just feel so blessed to have you all here. I will start.” She says, pulling out a picture of her parents, playing it on the alter, “This is my mom and dad. I miss them. And this is my cat Simba wth his usual bowl of soda pop. He’s a weird cat.”
Making everyone laugh. You've come to understand Garcia is amazing at making everyone feel at hime and included. She’s even better at dissolving tension. You think your friendship with her is going to be one of your favorites.
“Ok. Who’s next?”
“Uh, ok. Well, uh, this is my sister Roslyn.” JJ puts up a picture of her sister. “She always dreamt that someday shed live in Paree, so um… It didn't happen, but I thought this would bring her some happiness.” She sets a small Eiffel Tower figure next to the picture.
Rossi steps up next, “Private first class Darryl Jenson.” Placing a picture on the alter, “We lost him during the TET offensive.”
“What are the tickets?” Derek asks him.
“Opening day net season, Wrigley, right behind the home dugout.” He explains, “Jenson was a diehard Cubs fan.”
Derek raises his glass, “Sweet.”
Blake steps forward, placing a picture and a crossword on the alter, “My mom. She was the one who got me into crossword puzzles— no erasing allowed— which got me into linguistics.”
“You said we could bring more than one, right?” Reid questions Garcia.
“Oh, yes. This is a come one, come all altar.” Garcia tells him.
Reid places a picture of a smiling brunette woman first, before placing another photo, “It’s Nikola Tesla. I figured he’s probably been inventing things on the other side, so hopefully he’ll bring something to us.”
“I guess that’s me, ok.” Derek goes next, “I brought, my pops.” He sets the picture on the alter, along with the cigar in his hand, “He was a cigar aficionado, big time. And, actually, Rossi, He was also a huge Cubbies fan, so I was thinking maybe he and private Jenson over there, maybe they could go to the game together.”
“They can sort that out when they get here.” Rossi tells him. Making everyone laugh.
You step forward, a little hesitantly, placing your picture on the alter, along with a small, race car keychain, before stepping back. “Thats, um.” You clear your throat, “That’s my older brother, Benjamin. He would always take me to the race track to watch the races with him.” You explain. You don't say anymore than that, and you appreciate when they don’t push you to.
Hotch steps forward, pulling out a picture from his wallet of a pretty blonde woman, who you assume must be his late wife, and placing it down. He doesn't say anything either, and again, the team doesn't push. Everyone knew his story, unlike yours, but you still feel a comfortableness in the fact they don’t pry into things.
“Well, I guess this is proof positive that ancestors ain’t all bad.” Rossi comments.
“How about a toast to the…” Garcia raises her cup, “30 or 40 of us?”
Everyone follows suit, clinking glasses together, “Cheers.”
You spend the rest of the night, joking and smiling with your new team, chastising yourself for being nervous that they wouldn't accept you, and looking forward to this new adventure.

It seemed like a joke how just the other day you had been sharing cotton candy and taking photos with plushies with Kwon Soonyoung literally just yesterday, and today, here you were crimson as ever, watching that same ball of energy perform in harnesses, leather, and simply radiating an aura you had never even ventured thus far to come across.
The boys relished your pure and wholesome wit, since their dark humor and rare suggestive jokes never failed to go over your head. These guys were your basically your brothers, in the most colloquial and intimate way, excluding the flaming anomaly that Soonyoung was.
As a close friend of everyone's, it had never once been your intention to be something more than friends with the boys, especially since you made way too many jokes about Chan being your baby (which goaded Jeonghan way too much).
But Soonyoung's natural charisma and energetic charm had inevitably tangled itself in your heart strings. The stars his eyes held suddenly became the only constellation you knew and could recognize. His scent, his thunderous laughter, his contagious humor, his voice, his sincerity, his love - you soon fell for everything about him. (All in the span of a year, to be exact.)
"Are you sure you want to keep watching...our performances, Y/N?" Wonwoo muttered from above you as he hovered over your cross legged form on the sofa in the mini dorm they shared. Mingyu neared you both, amused at your attacked expression as Soonyoung continued voguing and rolling his hips.
You swallowed hard, shakily pausing to meet the eyes of your best friends.
"Of course, I have to support my boys!" You laughed nervously, visibly sweating from the pressure.
"God, how many times has he practiced this? H-he's just so precise with his movements..." you were murmuring at this point.
"You're such a little kid!" Wonwoo laughed, ruffling your hair and obviously using his phone at the moment to message someone about it, especially with Mingyu's guffaws of "Yeah, they're turning red!"
Soonyoung wasn't one to forget things yet you had found yourself hoping he would have forgotten about your scheduled date for tomorrow. You needed time to recover.
'Cause you can touch me, touch me...
His ginger voice goaded you on in your head repeatedly. He was haunting you.
"Hey, don't you want to wait for Soonyoungie to return and then, he can walk you to the bus?" Seungcheol and Chan had stopped you on your way out. You had to have still been painted in shock as the youngest giggled under his breath.
"Y/N, I promise we're not having sex with anyone when we dance." He assured you, waving his hand dismissively until Cheol clapped him on the head.
"I should just whack you for speaking so crassly, you punk. Leave them alone!" He met your eyes and you realized he was wearing harnesses for an upcoming stage.
"Yeah, I gotta go. Bye!" You had practically ran out of there.
It wasn't that you were a baby. Your innocence still held authority over your way of life, mainly regarding all things sexual and the lack of vulgar that tainted one's vocabulary, though, in the back of your mind, you found curse words somewhat endearing.
There have been multiple times where the boys teased you about it and where they were a little too wild for your own good, like that one time you had nearly walked in on Mingyu naked, simply walking around the dorm. Seungkwan had shoved him over the couch, flipping him and his bareness. Your eyes had fallen only on his bare backside.
"There," he had said with a small, tense smile. "The evil is gone."
He was a bit of an exhibitionist, they had told you that day. You were escorted to the dance studio so you could complain to Soonyoung as he had been creating a choreography to a Portuguese song.
You weren't even safe from films as one particular movie was brimming with sex jokes and puns, even showing some random exaggerated sex scene. The film hadn't even finished and the boys were all laughing at the top of their lungs at your stiff, heated up face.
"I don't get what's so funny about the number 69! I'm telling you!" Your cheeks were red as ever.
You were too embarrassed to even ask your parents about the birds and the bees at this point so you were left to discover for yourself.
"What do you mean you're going to teach me about sex?" You asked aloud, the next day, while Jeonghan failed to cover your mouth on time to avoid the attention of the other 12 boys in the dorm but it was too late.
"Sex? Jeonghan, that is off limits!" Joshua scolded from the kitchen. Chan eavesdropped with way too much fervor and excitement until he had been yet again whacked by Seungcheol.
"I'm not going to have sex with them! I'm just...telling them about the birds and the bees," he confessed to a stern looking Seungcheol and blushing Joshua.
"Guys, this...isn't it." He muttered too quietly.
"They watched porn accidentally." Hannie admitted with a way too amused grin on his face. You sat beside him with your face pressed into your hands in pure humiliation.
"Oh, my God!" Wonwoo replied in exclamation from across the room. "No, the poor baby..."
After a while of coaxing to tell of your sights and thoughts, you sweatily sat in the middle of the room, shakily explaining what it was like.
"...and I saw...the guy...just moving...his hips all up on the lady...l-like—Christ—like the way you guys do on stage sometimes. Except they were naked. They were huge and oily..." Cheol rubbed your shoulder to comfort you as he stifled his laughter as best he could, knowing this gesture was something that made you feel safe.
"Hey, Y/N, don't worry about us. It's them who copy our moves," Soonyoung spoke from beside you on the opposite side, pushing your hair behind your ear. His smile was too greasy and big. "How dedicated must they be. I find it sweet. It is a form of flattery. They must be cara — "
Jihoon clucked his tongue in finality with crimson ears.
"Don't you dare even finish that sentence, you moron," Jihoon gaped at his younger counterpart before the latter succumbed to his lack of formalities. "I mean, Soonyoung hyung. If Jun hyung even heard you — "
Yet the screeching in the room upstairs told you all that he had.
"You're so red," Jeonghan noted from across you, snickering. "Haven't your parents talked about the birds and the bees?"
You snorted in response.
"You should be able to tell that they never did. It's so embarrassing," your face stung, especially from Soonyoung's hand on your ear. "A few guys have made fun of me. I mean, everyone does once they find out."
"And just how do they find out? I'm sure you don't go around screaming about it from the rooftops." Wonwoo chuckled, but the laughter of the room dimmed once your hand began shaking.
"Guys, it... Well, once, I was asked on a date and they tried having their way with me despite my..."
The atmosphere changed at your words. You were like their little sibling, with the exclusion of Soonyoung as he had asked you out multiple times and never failed to talk to you as if you were his significant other.
"What...did...they...do?" Soonyoung asked in a toneless voice. His hands had dropped from your face and they now remained at his sides in fists.
"Soon, don't," Wonwoo warned. "It's not a bad thing to be as innocent as you are, Y/N, but being naive can be dangerous."
"They’re not a child!" Soonyoung burst suddenly, rising.
The silence fell too hard. Seungcheol held your hand to steady your shaky self.
It took days before you could talk to Soonyoung again, especially back in his normal manner. He never wanted to tease you about it as much but instead grew a bit more protective, but he wasn't your boyfriend yet. Technically.
So, of course, naturally, the day of your planned date had you anxious beyond belief. What would happen after tonight?
"Hey guys, is Soonyoung ready?" You asked, walking into the dorms with a bit of a fancier outfit than usual and even going as far as to style your hair and features with extra jewelry.
The boys were all in their pjs or sweats but nonetheless, at the sight of you, they all started gassing you up with wow's and aww's.
"Hyung is still looking for something to wear." Minghao commented, a little loudly, just to burn his elder's ire, after taking a seat on the couch.
"I'm guessing you're going somewhere fancy?" Seungkwan asked, taking your handbag into his hands so that you could stretch (nervously, as you did).
"Some restaurant, he said, ooh! and then he said we're going to a fancy dog park so we can pretend we have dogs but actually just pet everyone else's pets." The boys followed your fluid excitement, throwing in some comments like "Just drop off Soonyoung for us. He needs a new owner" or "I'll pull up with the car. You take all the dogs and then we run".
Everyone was in such high spirits that Soonyoung's iconic, energetic roar actually managed to startle those in the room.
There he stood, posing as a super hero, of course he would, clad in some white button up blouse (folded down to his elbows because he hated you and wanted to see you blush the entire night it seemed), tucked messily into black slacks with his own fancy pair of shoes.
"Is that my pretty Y/N?" Soonyoung erupted, pretending you were someone he couldn't recognize. "My pretty young thing? My PYT?!" Chan whistled in the background of his yelling.
He reached outward, connecting your hands, before pulling you to his chest so he could give you that fluffy smile of his.
"You're so pretty. Have I told you how cute and sweet and fragrant you are? You're like a flower." You were blushing rose, too, at this point.
"S-Soonyoung," You looked away from his constellation-like eyes. For some reason, instead of the innocent sparkle, you saw the dull reflection from his leather outfit and harnesses against the darkness as he rolled his hips.
"Won't we be late for our reservation?" You asked, watching as his feet repetitively rocked back and forth.
"Right, sweetheart," he squeezed your cheeks lovingly before turning to everyone else to say goodbye's for the night. "You guys better not wait on me."
Everyone scoffed jokingly, in return. Soonyoung slipped his phone into his pocket, listening to their banter.
"Absolutely no one is going to wait for you to come back." Jihoon replied bluntly.
"Whatever, buddy," your date called out with that goofy grin of his, meeting your gaze. "Time to go!"
His hand never left yours, interlocking your fingers, throughout the drive and the walk. He even jokingly sucked on a digit of yours while entering the restaurant. Everything seemed to be perfect, compared to the past few weeks.
Yet you still couldn't get this image of him smirking and rolling his hips upon the ground while dancing out of your mind. It made a lump grow in your throat.
You were fine, pivoting the daydream of Soonyoung's fluid hip movements on stage until the waiter hit on you, claiming that you and him had history though you had never seen the man before.
"I said, two waters, waiter." Soonyoung growled, surely wishing that you hadn't had to be sat with a table stuck between you two. This was nearing the last straw since he wouldn't back down.
The man only rolled his eyes, hopping back and forcing his artificial smile at him before peering back at you.
"I'll get it right now then." He vanished, leaving you still frozen in complete shock.
"Hey, S-Soonie, you know what you want to eat?" Your hands were shaking as your hands flailed around the menus.
He simply continued appareling that stoically pissed look that appeared every two thousand years. You could tell that he was attempting to stifle it in his eyes because he went over to you hesitantly to hold your face. Soonyoung crouched beside you, rubbing your cheeks.
"Do you still want to eat here?" He moved his thumb past your temple to tuck some hair behind your ear sweetly. "We can leave. I can get him fired. Tell me what's behind those pretty twinkling eyes?"
You wished you could stop time to capture how beautiful the look in his own eyes was, how loving and cute his pout was, and just about everything about him.
"I don't know if I still want to eat here, but you already made a reserv — "
"Say no more, Y/N. I'd rather go somewhere else, too. Too crowded here anyways." With that, he rose to reach out a hand to you for you to take as you left. You bit back a laugh since there was barely anyone in the building.
As you left, Soonyoung stopped another employee to whisper something in their ear, a horrified scowl burning across the older man's face. Later, you realized it was the manager. He really did get him fired.
Your escort led you into a sweeter night with yours and his favorite food at the park for an evening picnic. The dog park was closed, so you decided to play on the playground like two idiots until a night guard chased you both out. You had ran just a little quicker than he had but it still took you a while for the two of you to reach the same proximity.
Soonyoung's arm brushed up against yours and before you knew it, his fingers latched onto yours one by one. Clearly, you had been unfocused for much of the night, not even sparing the few deep glances he'd do at you.
"Where have you been, Y/N?" He murmured, leaning down to place his forehead against your temple.
"Oh?" Soonyoung took you by surprise, earning a widening of your eyes.
The night greeted with a cool breeze that left even more goosebumps in the wake of its blaze; there were already some due to the thoughts that had your mind on fire.
Each of you came to a halt and he faced you, drawing some hair behind your ears just to cup your face. His eyes reflected the night with his nebulous gaze.
"What's been on your mind, my baby?" He cooed, which on another occasion would have caused you to gag, but you just blinked at him. Your skin felt feverish: everything molten underneath the surface.
"I don't know how to tell you two things at once and I don't what to say first, but — "
Before you could even blink, he had his lips on yours and the taste of him slowly made his way into your mouth. A minor gasp broke through your mess of kisses and he seemed to exhale harshly at that against you. His teeth jutted out to nibble at your bottom lip.
"I'm sorry. I just couldn't wait anymore. Was that okay?" He asked everso gently, his hands holding your face near his. You nodded like an idiot and unable to smile or do much as your lips were nearly swollen.
“You’re my baby,” he murmured before going in once more to kiss you, leaving you breathless even more.
"With that said, Y/N, would you like to officially go out with me?" He stroked your cheek with his thumb and finally, a small grin bloomed upon your features.
"I'd love that," you breathed out, murmuring against his mouth as you leaned forward.
"So eager!" He commented and if it were possible, you burned up even more.
"Actually," you gripped his shirt with a determined expression toughening your eyebrows. "This is your fault. I haven't been the same since I saw your Touch stage. I'm all hot and bothered..."
He snickered into the side of your face before pecking your temple to meet your eyes once more.
"If you're ever comfortable or ready, you can always experiment on me." His voice sank into your chest and you smiled at that.
"Thank you,” you leaned up to give him a quick kiss on his cheek. “I have some ideas already.”
Soonyoung wrapped an arm around you, holding you tighter and with even more affection as you were now officially dating.
“Great,” he squeezed you before lowering to whisper into your ear. “I’m always ready for you to touch me.”
And for that night, the touch was a slap on the head.

Love Is You - chapter 12
Tumblr media
A week has passed since the Christmas and Scarlett hasn't seen or talk to Severus again. The things Severus said about their breakup still didn't settle with Scarlett. She couldn't help herself but thought if they haven't broken up, perhaps things would be way different in her life right now. Scarlett was so sure that Severus would marry her and they would have their own little family with their cats but everything has gone downhill all of a sudden. The next 2 years after the breakup were the time when Sirius came back to Scarlett’s life once again. They recovered their friendship from the very start and after those 2 years their relationship turned into a romantic one. She didn't have any regrets about her relationship and later about her marriage with Sirius though actually they were pretty wonderful, but Severus always had a special place in her heart that she could not replace it with anyone.
<<<
Scarlett and the twins were having breakfast when a Jack Russel terrier patronus rushed in. Before they could react to it, the patronus delivered a message to Scarlett.
"At 11 o'clock, in our cabin. Be there, important."
Scarlett checked the wall clock immediately, it was 10:30. That message made her nervous because whenever they had to talk in the cabin, it was never a good sign. And also the patronus message added more stress to the situation, it meant there is a critic situation.
"Mum what was that? Whose patronus was it?"
"The minister's. But i don't know what's going on Leo."
"Why do you have a cabin together?"
"It is for the important stuff that we can't talk anywhere because unwanted people can hear."
"But you resigned, why do you still have to deal with ministry stuff?"
"Leo i know as much as you know right now. T last time i saw Dorian was weeks ago."
The twins didn't question her any further because she was visibly nervous about the situation. They continued to eat their breakfast in silence but Scarlett went upstairs to get dressed for the meeting since she didn’t have much time left. She wore a black dress and a black cloak to hide herself from possible stalkers. The minister's message made her thought that maybe he has been stalked since he didn't send a normal letter. She went downstairs to let her kids know that she was leaving. "I gotta go now. I don't know when i will be back, don't worry okay?"
"I can come with you to protect you?"
"No Leo, it is just a meeting. I will be fine. Bye!"
Then she apparated to a hidden spot of the Clemont Forest; Scarlett looked around and made sure there was no one here. Later she faced to west and took 300 steps then 86 steps to the north and now she was standing in front of the grand oak tree. She whispered "revelio" and the small cabin appeared next to the tree. She looked around one more time before casting complex unlocking charms on the door. When Scarlett walked in the cabin, the minister was already waiting for her.
"Hello Scarlett, thank you for coming." Dorian said with a forced smile, under of his eyes were dark and he was looking paler than ever.
"Hi Dorian. Is everything okay?"
He shook his head madly. "No, no Scarlett. I made a mistake and now everything will go downhill..." he started to pace around the small room. "He is dangerous, he should be stopped!" The minister was acting like crazy and that worried Scarlett even more.
"Please sit down and relax then tell me what's going on. I can't help you if i don't understand."
He sighed and sat on the closest chair while Scarlett was sitting in front of him. "Amos, Amos Langley. He is bad, Scarlett. First he wanted to abolish your law about the death eaters, i sent him to you in hope that maybe you could change his mind but apparently you couldn't. Many former death eaters were released now, even he hired 2 of them as his assistants. And i guess he is reading my letters and following me."
Scarlett wasn't so surprised about Amos Langley but she wasn't expecting that much. "I didn't like him from the very start to be honest, when he came to meet me he acted very off and made me uncomfortable. But that's just too much. Why didn't you stop him about the law? You could gather a meeting with the councilmen, i don't think they would accept it so he wouldn’t be able to abolish it."
"I did Scarlett and they accepted it. Amos took everyone under his control, he is like using imperio on them. Maybe he really does..."
"I understand... I don't want to sound rude but where did you find him?”
"A friend of mine from French Ministry of Magic told me about him. He was from there but wanted to come to London and my friend said he is really good and i will enjoy working with him. Since you resigned so suddenly, i hired him as the deputy minister. I didn't have any other options..."
Scarlett raised her eyebrow. "Ah... Now i found why he looked familiar to me. The last time i was in Paris, he talked to me after the seminar. I was quite annoyed by him since he didn’t stop talking for some time."
Dorian’s eyes got wider with fear. "Are you saying he targeted us way before he came here?"
“Why would he do that tho?"
"A new death eater campaign?" The minister suggested.
"Hopefully not but the things you said doesn't sound good at all. What do you want me to do?"
"If you can talk to Dumbledore, it will be great. I don't want to do it myself because i think someone follows me like i said before. I don't feel safe even in my home Scarlett, i don't trust anyone but you."
<<<
Scarlett visited Dumbledore immediately after the meeting and told Dumbledore about the minister's worries and the situations in the ministry. Dumbledore was concerned but yet he wasn't sure if he should do something without having a certain evidence. But Scarlett was persistent about it so he decided to gather a meeting with the Order of the Phoenix members at Grimmauld place the very next evening since it's Sunday and everyone would be free.
It was 9:30 o'clock and finally everyone has arrived at Grimmauld place. Nobody knew what's going on and they were all worried about the meeting which they've been called so suddenly without any information. Dumbledore clapped his hands to stop chattering then he cleared his throat before started to talk. "Welcome my friends. I know every one of you are wondering why we are here tonight. I will let Scarlett to explain it to you because she knows about it better than me."
The heads turned to Scarlett questioningly. She licked her lips to wet them before starting to speak. "First of all thank you for coming here tonight. I will directly dive into the topic, i don't wanna keep you waiting anymore. I had a secret meeting with the Minister yesterday because he has some concerns. He doesn't trust the new deputy minister even he suspects that the deputy has some kind of connections with Death Eaters. He abolished the law i have made about imprisoning the Death Eaters rest of their lives. And he didn't stop with that even he has hired some of them in the ministry. Also Dorian believes that Amos, the deputy minister, is stalking him or hired someone to do it for him. And i met Amos, he visited me couple of weeks ago, i don't trust him as well. Something is off with him. So briefly the Minister wants help before it is too late." Scarlett took a look at everyone’s faces, most of them had a shocked expression.
"So if i understood right, you gathered us here just because you and the Minister have bad feelings about the Amos guy." James Potter stated in an annoying tone.
Scarlett sighed, James and her were never in good terms and he would constantly start an argument with her. "I want to do something before Dorian gets hurt. Does it sound good to you that Amos abolished the law about Death Eaters and hired them as assistants?"
"You are just annoyed because he took your place and abolished the law you made."
"He is in my place because i did quit. I don't work for the ministry anymore so i have literally zero gain from this, James."
James rolled his eyes at her. "I think this is nonsense, there is no evidence that he is up to something."
"I saw the new deputy too and i must agree with Scarlett, he is weird. I think we can do some research about him at least." Said Minerva McGonagall and Dumbledore agreed with her.
"He took control over the Auror Department a week ago. I am the head of the department but i must tell him about the situation beforehand and he decides if we take an action or not. He stopped us about two attacks on muggleborns this week, saying they are not as important." Sirius looked at Scarlett.  "So i am in whatever you want to do about him."
They all discussed about it for a while. Some of them were agreeing with Scarlett but some wasn't sure like James because there were no real actions yet, beside abolishing the law. In the end they decided on getting some more information about Amos Langley.
"I will visit him tomorrow in his office and see how he is acting." Scarlett announced end of the discussion.
"You will draw his attention on yourself Scar, it is not necessary. We can do it secretly."
"You don't need to worry about me, Sirius. He visited me so i will pay him a visit back, it is not suspicious at all."
"Okay then you do that Scarlett and let us know in our next meeting which will be on next Sunday at the same hour. And the others if you can get some information, it will be appreciated. The meeting ends here tonight, thanks to everyone." Said Dumbledore smiling.
Everybody started to get up to leave as soon as possible the meeting ended, there was nothing certain about the situation, but it made them all nervous. They were hoping to have peaceful years in their 50s but apparently it wasn’t happening. Scarlett said goodnight to everybody avoiding both Sirius and Severus, then put her coat and hat on before heading towards the front door. Sirius was watching her and went after her when she was about to leave. They haven’t seen each other since the night Arabelle came and it was clear Scarlett was still upset with him.
"Won't you apparate? It is very cold."
"No. I will walk, my house is not far from here." She answered without looking at him.
"I will be your company then." Sirius reached out for his coat.
"I don't want you to be my company Sirius and don't make me say it twice. I cannot deal with you tonight." Scarlett talked coldly and shut the door on his face before he could do anything.
Sirius sighed and looked at the crowd in hope nobody saw what just happened but then he noticed that Severus was watching him from afar. He frowned at Severus and walked over him rather furiously. "If you do the thing on your mind, i will kill you and won't regret. Do not go after her, don’t even get close to her!"
Severus smirked at his over-angry statement and replied calmly. "The thing that is on my mind was killing you actually, i wonder how you will kill me when you are already dead."
Sirius gritted his teeth in annoyance. "Stay away from Scar, i will say that only once. I don’t mind hurting you, if you don’t comply. You know that very well, don’t you Snivellus?"
"Once is enough for me to understand things since i am not a dunderhead like you, Black. But I don’t take commends from you, you are nothing without your gang. Pathetic…" Then he apparated which caused Sirius to draw his wand into the now empty space.

"Colin this is Marinette, my sister, Marinette this is Colin." Damian introduced the redhead who seemed a bit bewildered but he recovered quickly.
"Pleased to meet you ma'am. I didn't know that Damian had another sibling."
"Well neither did he before yesterday." Marinette laughed good-naturedly. "So you're his best friend."
"Yep!" Damian didn't refute the statement.
"So Miss Marinette where are you from?"
"Just Marinette is fine Colin."
"Bu-"
"Miss makes me feel old, you don't want that now, do you?" The boy looked scandalised. "I'm only about two years older than Damian anyways so if you want to call me by a nickname, that's fine too."
The boy grinned shyly. "Okay Marinette."
Damian looked distinctly surprised. "Well done, he still calls the others Mr, they are going to be annoyed by this development."
"Oh Damian." Marinette turned on her heels and winked at them, eyes full of mischief. "This is nothing. I got Alfred to  call me by just my first name?"
Now, both boys looked very impressed but still disbelieving. "I'll believe it when I see it." The redhead claimed. Marinette laughed but said nothing more on the matter.
"So where are you bringing me?"
"The Gotham's Botanical Garden. I think you'll enjoy it. However, I must warn you to stay clear of anything that may anger Poison Ivy. "
She took it in stride. "Of course, I'll ask before I do anything."
"It'll be so fun. People don't talk about it because of Ivy but the gardens are so beautiful." Colin started ranting and Marinette hid a smile at the fond expression on her little brother's face. If one didn't know what to be looking for, they would miss it but Marinette had become very very attuned to emotions, especially after she gained the Miraculous and became Guardian.
"-attract so many different kinds of butterflies."
"Huh." Marinette mused. "It'll be nice seeing some actual butterflies and not akumas for once."
"You mentioned akumas before too." Damian interrupted. "What are they?"
She seemed a little surprised. "Do you - do you really have no idea of what's going on in Paris?"
Both of the boys shook their head. Even Colin looked curious now.
"It's pretty surreal but, when I was twelve, this guy surfaced. He calls himself Hawkmoth. He sends out these magic butterflies called akumas to anyone who's experiencing any negative emotion to possess them. He makes a deal with the victims to give them powers for them to be able to take revenge upon whatever wrong happened to them and return he asks for the Miraculous of Ladybug and Chat Noir."
"Who?" Colin interrupted and Marinette blinked. She had sounded so...old, so burdened as she spoke - so different from the bubbly macaroon making girl that Damian had learnt to know.
"Right, context. After his first akuma, two heroes surfaced in Paris too. They're powered by the Miraculous too. Hawkmoth wants Ladybug's earrings and Chat Noir's ring. No one knows why exactly and well we're not interested to find out. More power in that madman's hands can only cause harm."
"You mean to say." Damian's voice was flat. "That there has been a sociopathic terrorist in Paris for five years and no one knows of it. Why didn't the mayor call for the Justice League?"
Marinette's face darkened. It almost made both if the boys shudder and take a step back.
"Oh but we did. More than once, more than ten times in fact. We only stopped whenthe Leaguers asked us to stop wasting their time with pranks."
"What?" Damian exploded. "They just disregarded all the damage that must have been caused, all the phone calls. They didn't even look into it."
Marinette placed a hand in his shoulder, urging her aura to seek his and calm him down. "The thing is one of Ladybug's powers is the Miraculous Cure. It fixes all the damage caused in the midst of battle."
"All the damage?" Even Damian didn't seem to believe it at that point.
"I know it seems too good to be true." She fished out her phone and tried to look for a video. "And we understood that but everyone in Paris is pissed that they didn't even bother come verify our so called claims. I mean for God's sake, they have aliens, shapeshifters, magicians and even guys who are themselves powered by magical jewelry if I'm not wrong."
Marinette huffed as she found a video. It was one of the first ones from the Ladyblog, when Alya was still a reliable reporter. She played the video. It was of The Mime and it showed how he cut the Eiffel Tower in two as well as the Miraculous Cure taking effect.
The boys especially Damian seemed horrified and Marinette felt a little of guilt for subjecting them to that.
But then Damian looked up at her and his lazarus green eyes of reminded her that he probably had seen worse.
"That's…" He didn't seemed to know what to say.
"Terrifying." Colin said. "Are they all really that strong?" Marinette winced, debating whether to tell them the truth of not.
Damian seemed to sense that. "You can tell us." He prompted and she sighed, reaching out to ruffle his hair.
"That's actually one of the tamer villians." She admitted. "The Mime appeared during the first year of Hawkmoth's reign of terror. One of the worst akumas back then that come to mind is Syren. She flooded the entirety of Paris, about three quarter of the population died and were brought back by the cure." She took another look at them and decided that she wasn't going to be the cause of their further trauma.
"Hey, this is it, right?" She promptly changed the subject, knowing very well that she hadn't been subtle at all. "Gotham Botanical Gardens." She beamed down at them.
"Wow, it's beautiful." She took a moment to appreciate the sight. "Hey you're right, there's a lot of butterflies. Can we go there first?" She was basically bouncing as she turned to look at her brother and his best friend.
Colin looked gleeful while Damian seemed just amused. "You act like a child." Her brother informed her. She stuck out her tongue at him. "And you speak like an old man but you don't see me complaining."
"Fair enough." He chuckled. "What are you waiting for? Let's go then."
He couldn't help the full-blown smile appearing on his face as both his sister and his best friend literally ran to the butterflies and started gushing together.
He started to make his way to them when someone appeared in front of him blocking his view. His usual scowl and glare were back on his face when he looked up. The boy seemed to recoil slightly at his look but it didn't deter him more that that.
"I don't know who you are." His tone clearly gave away that he felt like he was the one in power here. Damian cursed the time when he used to act like that. He had learnt that lesson the hard way - had learnt not to underestimate an enemy. "But you're gonna stay away from my princess. She doesn't need children like you around."
Damian took a second to analyze him. Blond Hair. Green eyes. He remembered  reading those as Marinette's triggers during his research. He had to clench his fists to stop himself from reaching out to his weapons.
"She can decide that for himself." He said instead and went to walk around him but the boy grabbed his shoulder.
The next thing he knew he was standing behind his sister. "Adrien." She cut in smoothly. "I didn't expect to see you here, especially not without your bodyguard." Damian could see that she was tense, her back muscles were coiled as if she was ready for a fight.
"Princess." He was beaming. "I snuck out." He said almost proudly. "We need to talk."
"Gotham isn't Paris." Her words seemed more like a warning rather than the facts they were which the blond idiot obviously didn't catch on. "And I want nothing to do with you, haven't for  three years. I owe you nothing. Give up."
That was a clear dismissal if Damian knew one. "Princess you need to listen to me-" He reached out to grab her hand but was cut off.
The younger boy had seen her lurking but she hadn't seemed a threat so he didn't know whether he was thankful or not that she had jumped in.
Ivy spoke "The girl asked you to go away." Thankful, he finally decided.
The boy looked a little nervous - so he did have some braincells. "Ma'am, respectfully, this does not concern you." Well not enough it seemed.
"Oh well, respectfully." Her plants towered behind them. "I don't give a damn. Stay away from them."
The plants grabbed him and threw him just outside the park boundaries. It seemed a little tame for the likes of Ivy but then again she always did go softer for children even if they were brats.
Damian watched as the boy scrambled back to his feet and glared in their direction before he stomped off.
"Damian." His sister was clearly fretting over him, he would never admit it but it felt good, he felt loved. "Are you alright? He didn't hurt you, did he?"
"I'm alright, I'm alright. I told you, I can take care of myself."
She smiled, soft and relieved. "I don't doubt it but promise me if you see either him or Lila from yesterday, you need go the other way."
"Why?" He frowned. He had a doubt on blondie but what about that Lila girl?
"And by Lila, do you mean the sausage haired girl?"
His sister cracked a grin at that thought she was still serious. "Yeah her."
"Why?" He repeated and she became grim at once. "Because he's sick in the head and she's a psychopath so please, promise me." She met his eyes and really, faced to that did Damian have any other choice but to accept?
She beamed at him as Colin approached them. "That was so cool. Are you okay Dames?" He turned to talk to his best friend and gave him a once over before nodding.
"Thank you for stepping in." He heard his sister and turned around. Ivy may be one of the villains-turned-anti-hero but it didn't mean that people didn't need to be wary around her. What was Marinette thinking?
"Boys like him need to be taught a lesson before it's too late." Damian's mind immediately went to Harley's and Joker's relationship.
"I don't think a lesson would do him any kind of good at this point but thank you."
It was very apparent that her words made Ivy re-evaluate her.
The woman gave a nod. "Don't mention it." She said nothing else but didn't move away.
Marinette smiled. "By the way, I love that flower in your hair. That's a lily right?"
"Yes." She said slowly but the spark in her eye showed that she was now interested. "You know flowers?"
"I have a garden of my own." Marinette revealed. "I tried growing some lilies but they're no where as beautiful as this one." Marinette fished for her phone again and started showing her images. The older woman didn't say anything but Damian could see that she was interested and she seemed almost pleased.
Deeming it safe for now, he slowly turned to Colin who was staring at the scene with amazement.
"Colin." His friend turned to him wide-eyed, "Your sister is amazing."
He couldn't help but feel smug at the words. "Obviously." He said but then lowered his voice. "Tell me, how did she get to me so fast when she was watching butterflies with you."
Colin sobered up at that. "She was talking to me when suddenly she just snapped her head up to look at you. I think that's when the boy came. She told me to stay there and started walking towards you. The thing is when the guy touched you, she was about half-way there, I didn't register but the next thing I knew she was standing between you and the blond." He shook his head. "There's something about her…it's not necessarily bad but she's just...different…special."
"I know what you mean." Damian agreed.
~
"-and then she spoke with Poison Ivy for one hour straight about plants and gardening. Ivy even gave us a personal tour of the botanical gardens."
"Seriously? She usually takes forever to warm up to someone especially if the other sirens aren't with her."
"Marinette seems to be the exception." The youngest Wayne said as he but into another macaroon. Once again, he had been ambushed on his return home - this time however, it was only his brothers and that had demanded he tell them all about her.
His felt his phone vibrate and knew it was the message he was awaiting. "She's busy during the day." He informed his brothers. "But she invited us for dinner."
His brothers looked at each other and grinned. Tommorow looked promising.

Opinion: Louis C.K. and his supporters haven't seemed to learn anything
Tumblr media
Author Michael Arceneaux on why Louis C.K.'s attempt at a “comeback” and the male comics supporting him are emblematic of the rape culture that #MeToo is fighting.
In his heart of hearts, comedian Michael Ian Black believed he was asking an important, daring question when, on August 28th, he tweeted: “Will take heat for this, but people have to be allowed to serve their time and move on with their lives. I don't know if it's been long enough, or his career will recover, or if people will have him back, but I'm happy to see him try.”
Black asked this in response to comedian Louis C.K. returning to the stage on August 26th by way of a performance at the Comedy Cellar in New York. The performance has been described as a “surprise,” but it reeks of intentionality. Louis C.K.-like Matt Lauer, like Kevin Spacey, like Charlie Rose, like Mario Batali, and like other high profile men who have been marred with scandal over allegations of some level of sexual misconduct, assault, and/or harassment-is seeking a comeback. In November of 2017, the comedian admitted to exposing his penis and masturbating in front of women without their consent.
Louis C.K. had been avoiding public appearances ever since, and yet, not even a full year after the accusations were made and acknowledged, he's already back to the stage.
Speaking to Vulture, women described the atmosphere as “intimidating” for anyone not all ready to watch Louis C.K. perform. Making matters worse is word that he actually made jokes about rape whistles. “It felt like there were a lot of aggressive men in the audience and very quiet women,” one woman in attendance explained. “It's the kind of vibe that doesn't allow for a dissenting voice. You're just expected to be a good audience member. You're considered a bad sport if you speak out.” It's as if, once again, the comedian is forcing himself on women without their consent.
What message do you think it sends to women - not just in comedy, but broadly - when an audience gives an admitted abuser a standing ovation? Or when progressive men welcome his return?
- Jessica Valenti (@JessicaValenti) August 28, 2018
When Louis C.K. took the stage, he was greeted with a standing ovation. Some would be inclined to take that as evidence that the public is ready for Louis C.K.'s return and couple it with the suggestion that we simply move on. This is certainly the gist of Michael Ian Black's question-whether he realized that or not. Indeed, when another Twitter user informed Black that his question was “hurtful,” he wrote back: “My intention was never to place the needs of the abuser over the victims, but rather to begin asking a question: is there a way to bring people back? I asked the question in good-faith, but perhaps naively…”  Later, after numerous women confronted his stance, he seemed to better understand the problem. He retweeted a thread from Kathy Griffin about women comics' careers being stalled and then said, “I made a mistake the other day in trying to defend a position that was…ultimately indefensible. I was wrong…” When actress June Diane Raphael responded to Michael Ian Black's original question with her own: “How do we break it to men that the #metoo movement has barely even begun?,” Black tweeted, “I can tell you from personal experience, this point was brought home loud and clear to me yesterday.”
Another male comedian, Marlon Wayans, also took to Louis C.K.'s defense. When questioned about his return to the stage, Wayans said to TMZ: “Comics need the stage. That's where we express and that's where we take all our anxieties and life depressions…we put 'em on stage and we make people laugh…I think he wants to come back and talk about it. He's apologetic and sincere and funny, so I hope he finds the funny in it. Nobody may understand that journey, but comedians, we go in dark caves and we come out with these light things called jokes.”
All of these people-Michael Ian Black, Marlon Wayans, the folks who applauded Louis C.K.-are guilty of the same sin: placing far greater concern on the culprit rather than the victim.
It has not even been a year since Louis C.K. admitted that he forced himself upon women, and he is already staging a comeback-with support from his male colleagues, no less. Louis C.K. has faced no consequence from the actions for which he has admitted fault. There has been no criminal persecution, no civil litigation. We do not know if he has sought treatment in any real way. We don't know if he's offered any acts of contrition to the women he intimidated.
such an important/brave take from the desperately needed perspective of Fellow Male Comedian. for women, it's always useful to know who thinks louis ck chilling as a millionaire for a few months w/o ever fully and honestly reckoning w actions implications counts as "serving time"

Louis C.K. has not offered the world anything to right his wrongs, and yet Michael Ian Black and other like-minded people (noticeably men) are rallying on his behalf. As if he is the victim. As if he deserves our graciousness and understanding. As if he is the one we should all be focusing on.
The owner of the Comedy Cellar, Noam Dworman, revealed to the Hollywood Reporter that he wasn't at the club when Louis C.K. performed. Dworman says the move was done at the “spur of the moment,” and noted that C.K. told the emcee that night that he wanted to go onstage. Perhaps Louis C.K. feels he is ready for a comeback. Maybe he, as Marlon Wayans explained, felt he truly needed to be back on stage. Sure, that's understandable-but ultimately, it's telling.
His choice to return to the stage already, and to make jokes about how “rape whistles are not clean,” all demonstrate that Louis C.K. is as selfish as ever.
For once in his life, he ought to be thinking about women. Why didn't it dawn on C.K. that seeing him on stage only nine months after owning up to despicable predatory behavior might be triggering for women and perhaps even other men in the audience? And if it did dawn on him, then he decided to show up on stage anyway. Why? He doesn't care; it's about him, still.
The audience last night didn't choose to see him. It was a nonconsensual surprise, his specialty.
- Talia Lavin (@chick_in_kiev) August 28, 2018
Sadly, such a degree of self-centeredness and a lack of compassion is understandable for him to have. After all, we are only now seeing men be held accountable for their awful actions thanks to the #MeToo movement, but we have already been bombarded with so much chatter about their “comebacks.”
Thanks to the likes of Michael Ian Black and Marlon Wayans, those men stand to feel even more empowered to return to business as usual, wrongdoing be damned. And if you care more about these men than the people who they have hurt, you may not have exposed yourself in the gross manner that Louis C.K. is now known for, but you have certainly shown your ass to the world. I “may take heat for this,” but I stand by it.
