About Severus's Friendship With The Malfoys...:
Would Snape still be friends with them had he lived after the Second Wizarding War? I'm trying to do a fic series where Snape is (magically) brought back to life and reunites with Constance Hardbroom (of the 1998 "Worst Witch") and their long-lost son, Nick Hobbes (of "Weirdsister College") in 2006. Snape and Hardbroom would remarry and have a daughter, Morrigan, in 2009.
With this in mind, how would Constance and Nick view the Malfoys. Constance does think highly of the rich, judging by the Hallows. Yet, it's doubtful that she wouldn't be very thrilled with Lucius or Narcissa (ESPECIALLY when hearing about Cedric Diggory and Charity Burbage). Though I'm not sure how she'd feel about Draco, Astoria and Scorpius. So it's uncertain on whether of not Constance would let Nick or Morrigan anywhere near such a family. No matter how much Severus would try to defend them. Not to mention, Constance would've probably put some blame on Lucius for Severus getting in with the Death-Eaters in the first place.
What also wouldn't help was that, (in my fics), the Rowling Wizards and the Murphy Wizards are of different magical "breeds". The Rowling Wizards are known as the eccentric, powerful and progressive "Imperiums" (or "Barmies") while the Murphy Wizards are the traditional, limited, Muggle-like "Ex-Codices" (or "Killjoys" or even "Faux-blood"). If anything Lucius (and maybe Narcissa) wouldn't think to highly of the "Faux-blood" Constance. The Malfoys would even look down on the wealthy Hallows for it too.
Then there's Nick; knowing him, I doubt he'd be so anamored (if that's the right word) with any of the Malfoys. He didn't even care much for the rich girl, Ethel Hallow. Not even asking her if she can use her wealth/connections to help with his endeavors. With Draco being Ethel's male counterpart, Nick would be annoyed with him, if not more. Then again, since this is post-"Deathly Hallows", Draco would've mellowed out a bit (especially with Astoria and their son). So, maybe Nick would, at least try to get along with Draco and maybe Narcissa. As for Lucius, I can't help but see Nick punch him after an insult too far about Constance, his Ex-Codice upbringing or his friends. Either way, Arthur Weasley would be proud.
Still, what are your thoughts? Would Severus still try to reconcile with the Malfoys? Would Constance and/or Nick stop him? Or would Severus only stay in touch with Draco and Astoria? Would there still be some emotional distance?

I got tagged by @rosie-love98 on this:
Tag 9 People you want to get to know better
Thank you and sorry, that it took me so long!
3 ships:
Okay, since I’m tagged on this tumblr account I’ll first go with WINX of course.
1. Driven (Darcy x Riven - Winx Club)
I’ll say it over and over again – they’re perfect. THE POTENTIAL: OMG: If Rainbow had be braver and didn’t focus SO much on Bloom, they could’ve added such an angsty storyline. They build the grounding but never made it to detail and that’s a shame. I may repeat myself, but Darcy was the first one to listen to Riven. To really listen and maybe even the first person after a long time to actually care for him. Of course, she is beautiful and she used that beauty to enchant him but what mattered in the end was that Riven finally found someone who was really interested in him. Someone who saw his ambition and talent. Someone who didn’t see the sparkly outside of perfect Sky and Brandon but who saw this man, who I bet went trough a lot to achieve the right to study at Red Fountain. Finally, someone interested in the one who trained hard to be where was and who wasn’t privileged like other people. Another thing I love about them is the trust and faith Riven had in Darcy who.. in the end destroyed that YES THANKS RAINBOW.  I mean, he never questioned her even though he knew that the Trix’ plans were evil. He did not care about that. Only for her. The betrayal must have been hard. But what about Darcy? How did she feel? Well, we never saw it but regarding her character she might be an overthinker who thinks everything through, who is afraid to show her true self. Darcy seems to be the one who is afraid of losing control and of being betrayed herself. So better destroy than get destroyed? I’m sure she opened up to Riven to some extend and got caught by her own fear of losing control and then overreacted. Maybe. Who know. But the thing is that their end came completely out of the nowhere and I wished the writers had focused a bit more on that instrad of making a cut so that another fairy had a love interest by the end of season 1. It also should have been more focus on their relationship in the following seasons. (I miss the longing stares omg. We could have so much angsty drama!) I think the end of the relationship was not easy for both of them. Darcy lost everything at the end of season 1 and I’m sure she questioned herself a lot after it. Like, what would have happened if etc. And Riven, even more broken than before. What did he think? It’s no secret, that most characters in this show need therapy but these two? Couple therapy maybe lol (now this was long, but that’s when I talk about ships haha)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. Brella (Brandon and Stella - Winx Club)
I don’t really talk about the fairies here, but I love Brella. They are such a healthy and dynamic couple. Even as a kid I noticed how harmonic and devoted. I loved, that they got so much attention in the show and that they were the harmonic couple and not Sky and Bloom. They had the storyline in s1 I which Brandon disguised as Prince Sky and lied to her. He was afraid, that Stella would only like him as a prince. And yes, Stella might look superficial at first glance but in fact she is not. And I think she showed a lot of strength in forgiving Brandon who lied to her for a long time. She made no big deal of it even though she is a princess who could have easily married or dated a prince. But she chose Brandon. Then there is the Downland arc at the beginning of season 2 and it wouldn’t have worked with another couple. As I said, they are devoted to each other. Stella fkn jumped after him into that abyss without a second thought? Luckily they survived but then Amentia shows up and Stella almost dies because there is no sunlight in Downland. So to save her life, Brandon agrees to marry Amentia who then agrees to let Stella go. I could fangirl over this arc a lot but I won’t because it already gets too long here. Then s3 in which Stella thinks that it might be just her beauty which Brandon loves (which doesn’t make sense after what they went through) but I think the problem Stella has, is that she was always judged by her looks. She was raised to be a perfect princess and let’s face it, before she met Bloom and the Winx, she had no real friends. However back to the show, Brandon knew that Stella was transformed into that Monster but he did not care. Of course not. He was trying to help her no matter what, just to see her happy again. I won’t focus on the later seasons, because they might still have their cute moments there but after all there was too much beef going on between all the couples and I don’t consider these superficial seasons as canon so I’ll stop here. But Brella is chef’s kiss. The best Winx couple followed by Tecna and Timmy and no one can convince me otherwise.

3. Ethel Hallow x Nick Hobbes - Weirdsister College (Do they have a shipping name?)
Since it was rosie, who tagged me I think I have to take a ship which has nothing to do with Winx but which goes more in the direction of Harry Potter and The Worst Witch. And that is an easy one: Ethel Hallow x Nick Hobbes. OMG the potential, the POTENTIAL! Same as driven, they have so much unused potential even though they were on the best way to build an angsty couple with trust issues and all the drama my fangirl heart needs. I love how Nick noticed right away, that Ethel resembled him. She always played the nice and hardworking students but we all know that she was a devious bitch who used every opportunity to make Mildred look bad. And from her perspective, she did nothing wrong. It was always Mildred who stole the show by breaking the rules and being at school but was in the end the good girl who was appreciated. She always played by the rules (yeah not always but she tried her best) and was ambitious and just wanted to be the number one student, yet who interfered? Always Mildred. It’s no wonder she tried everything to get rid of her. Ethel just wanted a happy school life without interruptions. So she wasn’t innocent at all and Nick knew that. In the first episode of Weirdsister College, he immediately checked that he AND Ethel would not have a chance of passing the all-seeing-eye. He tricked Mildred so that she helped him and used that for him and Ethel to pass the ceremony. He’s the typical bad boy who took advantage of Mildred’s talent and gosh, I wished they hadn’t followed this weird storyline he has with Mildred. Because everything was already there with Ehtel: Both students who tried their best to become the top of the class, both power-driven and both unsure in the end. They have so much in common. And Ethel is, after all, the good girl who fell for the bad boy and she KNOWS that he’s doubtful. She does not trust him but is still fascinated by him. And I just love that trope, okay? Ehtel also gives me hardcore rl Darcy vibes and not, it’s not just because they have the same voice actress I Germany. They’re the dark edgy couple I live for. There could have been done so much if they gave us a second season…..It looked like they were giving up on the Mildred/Nick storyline by episode 9 which was again one big flirt of Ethel and Nick. (The potential!) This is why I hate the way they went on the last episode where it’s like “It’s only you who can save him, Mildred” bullshit. I’m doomed for loving couples the writers seem to hate. I could write an essay about them and I probably will on @yaviae somewhen.

Magical New Beginnings
Fandom: Teen Wolf, Weirdsister College
Characters: Stiles Stilinski, Nick Hobbs
Summary: Stiles decides that the best academic track for him is one involving magic. So he goes to Weird Sister College, to get as far away from his werewolf-related trouble.
Rating: general audiences
Author’s note: I wrote this about ten years ago on my phone and found it again tonight, so I polished it a bit and posted it, bc why not?
AO3
To say Stiles was confused was a bit of an understatement.
His dorm room had a cauldron in the middle, with a fire underneath, and ominous bubbling and foul stench emanating form it. The room was decorated in black and textures and was rather cliché if you asked him. Otherwise, it looked depressingly normal - they had their own kitchen and bathroom, and the room was large enough that he shouldn't have trouble sharing with his new roommate. And there was the problem.
When he decided to go to a wizardry college, he'd expected the whole surreal experience - talking paintings, ghosts wandering around, stuffy uniforms... Snape... This felt like going to regular college, but with a mainstream Goth population.
So, maybe the only Goth he'd seen so far was his roommate, but the guy looked like someone regular Goth kids picked on for being too cliché!
Anyway, wizards and witches had to be easier to deal with than werewolves. He had to hold on to that thought for the sake of his already shaky sanity.
He was done with evil, creepy, undead werewolf uncles creeping on the girl of his dreams (who was going out with her undead, werewolf boyfriend!), and best-werewolf best-friends who only had eyes for their super hot, werewolf slaying girlfriends… And stupidly sexy alpha werewolves who only called when they were in deep shit and generally dragged you in just for kicks… and just with werewolves in general.
High school had been one long, horribly monotonous string of werewolf-related disasters.
"I'm guessing you're new at the whole magic thing..." his ostensibly Goth-y roommate commented.
"Huh?" Styles blinked.
"New to magic," the guy repeated.
For some reason, alarm bells went off in Stiles' brain. The way the guy smiled – predatory, expectant... There was too much Peter in that smile for Stiles' comfort.
Great! He'd have to keep an eye on him.
Eventually, Stiles realized he hadn’t answered.
"Well, I've had my share of the supernatural," he said and, because he was Stiles and couldn't help being a smartass, he added, "But there was an owl with a letter that told me to come to Hogwarts."
His roommate just stared at him.
"Whatever, man. It was just a joke,” Stiles waved it off.
"You should have probably done that, then," he eventually supplied.
Now it was Stiles' turn not to get it.
"Start with the basics," the guy supplied. "You wouldn't go straight to... Engineering without basic Physics knowledge, would you?"
Stiles blinked.
His roommate grinned.
"It might be better this way, though," he said, looking like a hungry lion faced with a newborn calf who hadn't met a predator yet.
He held out a hand for Stiles to shake in a way that made Stiles weary to take it. But Stiles had been threatened worse by people who could tear him limb from limb without breaking a sweat.
"Nick Hobbs," he finally introduced himself.
"Stiles Stilinsky.”
They shook hands and Stiles felt like he was still being assessed. There was something like electricity going through his skin and Nick's grin widened.
"Come on!" he said, dragging Stiles out of the room. "I want to show Ethel my new toy."

Weirdsister College (2001): Character Names, Spellings, and Performed By (to be reblogged/added to as needed)
The Staff
Professor Alicia Thunderblast (Charmian May) - The head of the College. Experienced witch, trombone player and almost as partial to cakes as Miss Cackle.
Dr. Jenny Wendle (Jaye Griffiths) - An experienced first year tutor, and Millie's mentor. Runs the Witches Practice in town and her knowledge is needed to help save the College.
Dr. Andy Starfinder (Eric Loren) - An American wizard who looks to broaden the boundaries of magic with science and his inventions. Got himself into trouble with Beetle on his 2nd day, by performing magic on a Friday which broke the Bus Spell.
Professor Johnathan Shakeshaft (John Rogan) - The oldest member of staff, teaches (and forgets) various types of magic but spends most of his time asleep. Rumours about him are that he is mad and that he is from medieval times.
Veronica Dewdrop (Jenny Galloway) - 'The Beetle', as the students know her. She takes care of the Foster's Effect and upholds the rules and regulations of the College. She also handles the College's finances, administration and emergency protocols.
Students
Mildred Hubble (Georgina Sherrington) - The main character of The Worst Witch. In this series, based on her artistic skills Millie gained a scholarship to the college.
Ethel Hallow (Felicity Jones) - Ethel is Millie's old nemesis from Cackle's. Ethel returns with a brand new look but the same attitude.
Deirdre Swoop (Stephanie Lane) - Old Hang from Pentangle's Academy, more chilled out in this series but loves a spot of jazz (even donning a trilby hat) and taking part in the annual games.
Cas Crowfeather (Abeille Gelinas, sister of Mitsou Gélinas) - Millie's new best friend, hailing all the way from Canada to attend Weirdsister. She "replaces" Maud Moonshine who does not appear in the series.
Nicholas "Nick" Hobbes (Bobby Barry) - Dark and secretive wizard, not liked by most of the students and has a meglomaniac side to him, it is also often suggested that he has feelings for Mildred.
Azmat Madari (Sacha Dhawan) - Wizard, best friend of Tim, comes from Clitheroe, Lancashire.
Tim Wraithewight (Kent Riley) - Wizard, comes from Bootle near Liverpool and best friend of Azmat.
Minor characters
Ben Stemson (Christian Coulson) - Non-magical worker of Misery's (ran by his mother) and very good friend of Mildred (boyfriend from episode 6).
Elaine Stemson (Heather Wright) - Owner of Misery's, is into New Age Magic and loves her son a lot. She was very troubled when the Beetle threatened to close Misery's.
Miss Hardbroom (Kate Duchêne) - Summoned by magic to test Mildred, to see if she was strong enough to enter Weirdsister as a student. Mildred passed and Miss Hardbroom wished her luck and smiled before returning to Cackles.
Enid Nightshade (Jessica Fox) - Spent two days at Weirdsister after running away from Primrose Hill (another magic university) to see Millie, but leaves after revealing that she had been expelled from Primrose Hill for "over-partying".

For Those Wondering Why I Made Nick Hobbes The Long-Lost-Son Of Snape And Hardbroom...
Along with the fact that I ship SnapexHardbroom, seeing these three as a family is pretty fun along with working on fics revolving around this, I also find that Hobbes is similar to his “parents”.
What Hobbes Got From Snape:
Being drawn to a love triangle (MildredxBen/Nick is pretty much like LilyxJames/Snape (except Ben’s less of a jerk and a Muggle). Mildred’s even called “Millie” a couple of times.)
Their INTJ personality.
Their disregard for rules and traditions in order to reach their interests/goals.
Antisocial.
Prone to selfishness and letting their goals get them into trouble.
Were both bullied when they were younger. This lead to their own hunger for power.
The Angst...
Having Byronic traits (Hobbes dresses himself as one in one “Weirdsister” episode).
What Hobbes Got From Hardbroom:
Being prone to being...tempremental and dramatic.
Having little tolerance for silly eccentrics (i.e. Miss. Bat and Shakeshaft).
Prone to arrogance.
The eye-roll.
Can show sheepishness when under pressure. Or, at least, not as good as lying as Snape is.
What Hobbes Share From Both Parents:
The affinity for black.
Tall, pale with long, dark hair.
Being drawn to magical experiments and potion-making.
Are good deep down in spite of their flaws.

Nick's Name:
I'm still pondering on Nick Hobbes' birth name. As the secret son of Severus Snape and Constance Hardbroom, Nick had to be born in hiding in November of 1986. Specifically at the Flamel House in Paris, France. To thank Nicolas and Perenelle Flamel for their help, Constance and Severus named their own son after Mr. Flamel (albeit with an "H").
Though, this is a slip-up as "Nicholas" is also the name of Nearly-Headless Nick...the ghost for GRYFFINDOR (One of Snape's many enemies). So, the more I think about it, the more I contemplate on Nick Hobbes's birth name being something else...
As for the middle name, a part of me thinks Snape would name his son after Horace Slughorn. Granted, Snape would originally go for "Salazar" but Constance would disprove as Salazar Slytherin was...controversial to say the least. Especially as Salazar's beliefs had indirectly caused the death of Lily Potter. So, Constance suggested "Merlin" but Severus thought it too common for a wizard. She also considered "Ambrosius" but Severus thought it "too flowery". So, something after Slughorn was chosen; "Eugene" to be exact. Could've been "Horace" but Severus and Constance thought that sounded like "Horse"/"Hoarse".
That being said, I still can't help but consider these canidates:
-Stephen/Stefan (I've seen "Penda's Fen" where the main protagonist was a posh know-it-all who had to find himself and be humble...reminds me of Hobbes a bit).
-Jareth ("Labyrinth" was out that year...).
-Tybalt (Alan Rickman had played the character).
-Erik (Snape would sooo be into "Phantom Of The Opera"...and "The Crow", even if the latter wasn't out at the time).
-Jericho (goes with the moon like with Constance's canonical nephew, Artemis).
-Heathcliff (Snape and Hobbes are similar to that character...though they're more likeable).
-Brian (After Dumbledore).
-Cyril.
-Aiden.
-Xander.
What say you though?

Headcanons For The Snape-Hardbroom-Hobbes Family (From 1984-1987):
Tumblr media
*CONTEXT: From August 1st, 1984 to April of 1987, Severus Snape and Constance Hardbroom were married. Yet, the union had to be secret (with a few in the know) due to various reasons; Severus had his Death-Eater past, was serving as Dumbledore's spy (factors Constance was aware of before the elopement) along with the pair being of different Wizarding "breeds". Constance (and the rest of the Murphy Wizards/Ex-Codices) were forbidden to marrying magical Imperiums (Rowling Wizards) with Squibs and Muggles being the exceptions. So, when signing the marriage documents, Severus went with the alias of "Basil Brennan" while Constance went with "Sophronia Maidenhair". Unfortunately "Basil' and "Sophronia" were forced to annull under the ruling of the Ex-Codice's High Magic Council when the then 5-month-old Nicholas was plagued with a ailment due to his mixed magical heritage. With Severus and Constance being forced to seperate, little Nicholas was placed in the Ex-Codice's orphanage, Orbana Hart's Home For Wizarding Children. Heartbroken and desperate to keep Constance and Nicholas safe from Voldemort or any Death-Eaters, Severus had Dumbledore remove his memories. Much to the upset of Constance.*
Ok...with all of that out the way, here are the headcanons:
-Severus had told Constance of his Death-Eater past and his indirect role in the deaths of James and Lily Potter. Needless to say, Constance was shock and furious. She wouldn't have seen Severus again had it not been for Cackle's Academy hosting a dinner during the Summer Holiday. Severus, as one of the teachers, was invited (at Dumbledore's behest).
-After a battling a group of wizard terrorist that had nearly killed them, Severus and Constance decided to elope the very next day (they blame it on adrenaline).
-Elphinestone Urquart (husband of Minerva McGonagall) was the officiator due to his former job in the Ministry Of Magic.
-When the two first started dating, Severus would write Constance poems with flowers. In turn, Constance would gift Severus with things he needed (updates potions books, journals, etc.). These exchanges would continue throughout their marriage.
-As they had their own jobs at Hogwarts and Cackle's, Severus and Constance would only communicate via writing. To do this, Severus would use various owls at Hogwarts to through any suspicious outsider off the scent.
-During the holidays, Severus and Constance would meet at the former's home at Spinner's End (as Constance lived at Cackle's Academy).
-When together, the two would study spells, concoct new potions, and engage in friendly duels. Other activities would include strolling along either the Cokeworth streets or at the nearby river. They preferably did these walks either at night, in the fog or when it would rain.
-Both Constance and Severus could speak Latin, and French to each other. Comes in handy when they're in public.
-Though Severus adored Constance, he was still secrective with her whenever the subject of his own fears were involved. Even when he'd had horrible dreams of being an abusive husband/father, he still be on gaurd about it.
-Nicholas wasn't born at Spinner's End thanks to Dumbledore. Albus was a close friend of Nicolas and Perenelle Flamel who gave Constance a safe haven from March all the way to thee middle of November. All while Amelia Cackle, Minerva McGonagall, Madame Pomfrey along with the Flamel's bodygaurd, Olu Kama and their healer, Shari Kowalski, helped out.
-As for Severus, he would stay at the Flamel's House with Constance during holidays. But when he had to return to Hogwarts he would continue writing her letters, helping Madame Pomfrey provide safe potions and try to seee Constance during the weekends thanks to portkeys.
-To prepare themselves for parenthood, Constance and Severus read and took notes from the books Cackle and McGonagall had given them. For further help, Severus would help (an unknowing) Pomona Sprout with the latest batch of mandrakes.
-On the 5th of November, Bonfire Night (a Wednesday), "Nicholas Stephen Hardbroom-Snape" would be born a healthy baby. He would even prove his strong magical abilities when sneezing sparks at only an hour old. As Ex-Codices were usually more "Muggle-Like" and never really show their magic until going to wizard school, Constance was concerned. Severus, on the other hand, was rather proud.
-Nicholas could hold up his head at a two days old and roll over at five weeks. He was a pretty adamant and smart baby. And a mischevious one at that...
-With Nicholas born in November of '86, this mens he was born during the Third Year of "Hogwarts Mystery".
-Nicholas was named after Mr. Flamel, himself. As for the "Stephen", it was the only other name Severus and Constance could agree on. Severus wanted "Salazar", "Tybalt" or "Jareth" while Constance wanted "Xander", "Mercutio" or "Heathcliff".
-When the new family returned to Spinner's End, Cackle, McGonagall and even Dumbledore would help out.
-Constance's cat, Morgana, would be rather fond of Severus and later of Nicholas when he came along.
-To put Nicholas to sleep, Severus enchanted a baby mobile to jingle "In Noctem". Little Nick would sleep within seconds.
-At about 4 months old, Nicholas may've set Severus on fire. Constance told Severus not to give his wand to the baby...
-McGonagall would gift little Nicholas the "Railway Series" by the Rev. W. Awdry along with "Tales Of Beetle The Bard". As for Miss. Cackle, she'd gift the boy with Grahame's "The Wind In The Willows" and Andersen's "The Snow Queen".
-To enable herself to go out with baby Nicholas, Constance got the idea to put the (temporary/reversible) "Witch-Over" spell on herself and on Severus when he's with her.
-By Ex-Codice law, Nicholas would be an Ex-Codice by his mother's side. As a result he would be given a staff instead of wands or brooms. He also wouldn't go to Imperium's Hogwarts or Durmstrange, but to Codice schools like Camelot College, or Moonridge High. That still didn't stop Severus, Minerva and Albus from dressing Nicholas in Slytherin baby clothes or giving him a toy broomstick...no matter how much the tradionalist Constance would protest...
-As Constance already had some experience due to having a younger brother, she was more than able to handle baby Nick with no problem. As for Severus...he struggled. It wasn't the feedings, nor the crying, not even the nappy-changes (he could handle all of that). Yet, he never thought any kid he would have could be so CUTE "endearing".

With my fanfic having the "Weirdsister College" character, Nick Hobbes, being Snape and Hardbroom's secret son, he would've been born during the "Hogwarts Mysterty" years. Specifically on November 5th, 1986.
With this, a part of me wants to feature a chapter where Snape wants to watch a 3-4 month old Nick while Constance had to go to some teacher's convention. Yet, with Hogwarts still having classes, Snape had to work up a plan with Dumbledore and McGonagall (they knew what was really going on).
While they had staff and students think McGonagall was babysitting little Nick for a friend, Snape would care for his son during his free time.
Yet, with the staff and students thinking McGonagall had gone mad and pawned an innocent infant off to the sadist known as Snape, they were understandably worried.
Enter Tonks, Penny Haywood, Bill, Charlie and Ben to spy on poor Snape. Merula may also be there too. Still, they were surprised (and still a bit suspicious) with how good Severus was with the mysterious child.
Next thing you know it, Snape was either called on due to some accident or a staff meeting; giving him no choice but to let the six watch baby Nick.
Long story short, either Tonks and/or a visiting Myron Wagtail would be performing a certain song from a certain Muggle movie that came about at the time of this story...:

Ok, so when I decided to make Nick Hobbs (of "Weirdsister College") the long-lost son of Severus Snape ("Harry Potter" films) and Constance Hardbroom (1998 "Weirdsister College"), I had Nick's original name be either:
-"Nicholas Salazar".
-"Nicholas Stephen".
-"Nicholas Xander".
-"Nicholas Tybalt".
-"Nicholas Jareth/David" (I mean "Labyrinth" did premeire just 5 months prior to Hobbes's birth. Besides, David Bowie had always seemed to make his way in "The Worst Witch" franchise...).
HOWEVER, I realized something. While Severus and Constance decided to name their son "Nicholas" after Flamel, I had completely forgotten that "Nicholas" was also the name of Nearly-Headless Nick...the ghost for Gryffindor....
So yeah, I'm conflicted...do I keep the name "Nicholas" for Hobbes's birth name and have it be a joke that Severus, a proud Slytherin, could accidentally let his own flesh-and-blood be a namesake to a Gryffindor? Or do should I just change Nicholas's birth name entirely?

Snape-Hardbroom-Hobbes Adventure: Trouble In Time-Traveling:
*For some reason or another, Mildred Hubble, Ethel Hallow and Nick Hobbes go back in time to 1977. There, they witness Nick’s (long-lost) parents, Constance Hardbroom and Severus Snape, being students at Cackle’s and Hogwarts respectively (Cackle’s students were visiting which is how Constance met Severus).*
Young Constance Hardbroom: *as she sees Snape writing in his copy of “Advanced Potion Making”* Aw, Severus...With all this studying and spell-testing we’ve been doing, perhaps we should take a break. Have some responsible fun; there’s the campfire party this weekend. It would be great for star-gazing-
Young Severus Snape: With all do respect, Constance, but things must be sacrificed if you want to be the best. You can waste vital time all you want but I’m continuing on my task on my own.
Young Constance Hardbroom: I don’t want to do go without you. Besides, you need me with these studies, don’t you?
Young Severus Snape: Absolutely not. I’ve been doing this alone and I can continue to do so. All with little to no mistakes!
Young Constance Hardbroom: You really think you’re that good...
Young Severus Snape: On the contrary, Constance; I know I’m that good.
Mildred Hubble: What an arrogant jerk!
Ethel Hallow: Yeah...sounds vaguely familiar...
*Mildred and Ethel look at a very guilty Nick.*
Nick Hobbes: ...Sorry...

Chloe Hardbroom: A Brown Or A Pouncer?:
Tumblr media
So...here's the General Story.
Back in the mid-to-late 1950's, an Ex-Codice wizard, Conrad Hardbroom (Christopher Lee/Gary Raymond) had met a classy young Midnight Folk witch named, Chloe (Rosemary Harris/Shirley Anne Field) when the ladder was wanting to erase her ties from the occult. With Conrad's help, Chloe would succeed in that goal through the Ex-Codice's Erasure Ritual. As a result, Chloe and Conrad's children would be Ex-Codice instead of Midnight Folk (by law, the "breed" of wizardry would fall on the mother unless she's a Muggle/Non-Magic).
Chloe and Conrad would marry and have two children. Their first, Constance Hardbroom (Kate Duchene) later (secretly) married the Imperium wizard, Severus Snape (Alan Rickman) and produced a son, Nick Hobbes (Bobby Barry) (and a daughter, Morrigan, much later but all that's a different story...).
Then there's the younger child, Clyde Hardbroom (Jason Carter) who'd go on to marry Claire Delune (Julia Sawalha) and have their own son, Artemis Hardbroom (Joe Prospero).
Now here's the dilemma;
While Chloe's family are from "The Box Of Delights" with her mother being Sylvia Daisy Pouncer (the abusive ex-governess of the protagonist played by Patricia Quinn), there's Chloe's father; Abner Brown (Robert Stephens who, oddly enough, was the ex-husband of Maggie Smith a.k.a Minerva "The Queen" McGonagall) or Foxy-Faced Charles (Geoffrey Larder, who's role the filmmakers wanted Alan Rickman for, but Rickman wanted to play Abner Brown...).
Abner Brown was the main villian of "The Box Of Delights" who would stop at nothing to get anything he desired be it power, treasure or the titular artifact. Even turning to Dark Magic to reach his goals. In between "The Midnight Folk" and "The Box Of Delights", he married his cohort, Pouncer whom he didn't seem to care for as he intended to leave her in the dust with his minions. In the end, Sylvia left Abner to his death when she left with Foxy-Faced Charles, Chubby Joe and a great deal of expensive jewlery. If Abner were to be Chloe's father, Chloe would be born in 1935. It would also explain where Constance (and Nick) got their dramatics from. Granted, Pouncer can be like that too but there's also Nick's megalomania...which Nick may've picked up from Snape (like a true Slytherin).
Then there's Foxy-Faced Charles, Abner's abused minion. As Chubby Joe's best friend, Charles is usually the one who keeps Joe on task. While Joe can turn into a wolf while Charles can turn into a fox at will. For some time, Charles and Sylvia have been having an affair before "The Box Of Delights". If Charles were to be Chloe's father, this would not only make Chloe a red-head but also a shape-shifter before the Erasure Ritual. She'd also be born a bit later in 1937-1938.
