Guilt

We know that the Galactic Horde clones were not culpable for Horde Prime’s conquests. They were enslaved to him in body, mind, and soul, and knew no other path. We cannot hold them responsible for their god-emperor’s tyranny.

And yet, I fear that some of the clones will be tormented by the horrors they perpetrated in Horde Prime’s name. Prime oppressed entire civilizations and slaughtered innocents through his clone army. Are the clones haunted by their unwilling, unwitting role in his tyranny?

Once they have an opportunity to learn new moral systems, and thus recognize that oppression and murder are wrong, many may struggle with guilt.

Do the clones have nightmares of war and death? Do they see their victims -- Prime’s victims -- in the faces of their Etherian neighbors? Do they fear that the galaxy will never forgive them for being tools of war? Do they struggle with self-loathing? Do they seek to atone for crimes that were not their fault?

How do their new friends, mentors, and lovers soothe a pain so deep?
