Just a small redraw that I forgot to post actually lmfaoo

This crappy drawing was supposed to be some sort of redraw of this one scene from one of the old videos that I have in my unlisted or private playlist. I always keep my disgusting and cringy animations in a playlist to collect or see how many "animations" I've made de through the years.

So a little context. Every time I make an "animation meme" every ending has to have a cutscene to show some hints or short context of the AU and some side story or aftermath featuring some extra characters. However, that garbage turned out to be almost 3 fucking minutes. Even tho it's only 2:24 but it doesn't matter. I was kinda proud of how it came out but at the same time I had to keep it unlisted or private to avoid drama if people wanna take things out of context instead of asking me for context or info. Soo-- I was scared to upload again if that happened.

Oh, also, the raccoon had a horrible anaphylactic reaction over the weekend and we didn't have an EpiPen so we had to rush him to the emergency room while his throat was actively closing up and then he had to spend the night at the hospital, but the bright side is that I got to use my one and only life skill of Being Really Good in a Crisis™

story time: yesterday I developed a huggeeeee rash all over my chest, my shoulders and my skull wich in the matter of an hour got 20 times worse and I started to have struggles breathing. Seemingly it was an allergic reaction to some medication (pain meds) I took the day before because of a huge migrane. As I went to the ER, they told me I'll have to stay 24h or at least until the next morning. The night was hell, I had a huge panic attack until they gave me Tavor because the panic made it worse.

Just about 20 minutes ago, 4 Nurses came in and 1 doctor who checked up on me and asked questions. Turns out she thinks this state has more to do with my mental health than the medication that I took and reacted to. Now she's going to get a staff from the psych ward :D

Istg if my doctors say “we’ve got no appointments” at 8:30AM. WHEN IT OPENS. I think i might just go missing, because this pain is 👹👹👹👹 and I almost ended up in hospital it’s that bad I sat in the bath in water that was so hot it peeled off my nail polish.

I literally was on the phone to 111 praying and basically just saying whilst it was ringing “please be a women” “please be a women” it was a women and I couldn’t have been happier but if this doctor tomorrow just tells me to take more pain medication or “it’s probably just irritation” I will flip my shit, because this pelvic pain is pain that I’ve never ever experienced in my life and it’s not fun, I never cry in pain when I’m on my period or towards the end but i literally had a breakdown because I was and still am in so much pain

someday my excesses of richjake angst will stop having an effect on the general bmc populace but for now, I think I should tell you that Brooke visited Jake the morning after the fire. She only intended to stay for a moment or two (they're not supposed to be friends, Chloe made sure of that) but he wakes up while she's there and he's high and disoriented because of the pain meds, so much so that all he can do is ask where Rich is in a small, pathetic whisper (his first though upon waking up in a hospital is 'where is Rich?'---this boy has it bad). She's got the kind of moral compass that tells her she has to tell him everything ---that Rich is in the ICU, that Jake's house burned down---and of course it's terrible and his reaction is heartwrenching, but it really could've been worse. He giggles and cries before falling right back asleep.

She's worried for him, though, and wonders what insensitive thing a nurse could end up saying to him when he wakes up. What if he cries? What if the doctors make it worse? So she decides to stay just until he wakes up and seems stable. Twenty minutes or thirty minutes or an hour and a half later (time passes strangely sitting in a hospital room), he's blinking awake and asking where Rich is and what happened again. And she's forced to tell him again. She has to watch the confusion on his face, the denial, the hurt, the tears he wouldn't shed if he weren't drugged up. Again. He drifts back off, and when he wakes up for the third time, she lies.

"He's okay," she says before he's even asked because she can see the formation of the question in his mouth.

"I wan' him."

Brooke hasn't even told him the truth and he still looks like he's going to cry---glassy eyes, pouting, searching the room for Rich even though he clearly isn't there.

"He's busy, he'll come by later."

The lie burns her tongue and throat and she almost feels guilty for the pain because she knows Jake must be going through so, so much worse.

"Why won' he come now? 'M need him now," Jake whispers, and he sounds so confused. So broken.

She doesn't know how to mollify him. He didn't have much and he has even less now---Rich is familiarity. Rich is safety, Rich is protection, Rich is being teased ruthlessly in public for being upset over a breakup with Chloe but being held in private as he cried, Rich is late nights and drunken confessions of fears and sorrows. Rich is someone she showed up too late to be. So she says, "He's on his way, I promise. He'll be here soon. Everything's gonna be okay."

And Jake nods but pouts, upset over the fact Rich can't just magically appear then and there. Before it's been long enough for him to even begin to realize she may have been lying, Jake falls asleep.

She practically flees the room the second he's out. She can't do that again. She cannot lie, she cannot break the bad news. She cannot see him there so helpless, so desperate for any reassurance. She does everything in her power to forget it ever happened.

(and it's ironic because the next time he wakes up, he asks for 'the pretty princess girl---where's she? why'd she gotta go?')
