For the ‘Humans are *insert word* here/alien fans fanclub’, I have another small headcanon:
I feel like most aliens (from aliens that travel planets, to aliens that are the embodiment of a nightmare, to aliens that are small and fuzzy),
would absolutely love David Attenborough. I mean they probably found out about Earth’s animals and how they live and stuff from watching his documentaries, because one human on a crewship put it on to help them fall asleep.
David Attenborough would be adored by all the cosmos I think.

How did we end up shitting on redheads so hard can you BELIEVE how cool it is that some humans just HAVE red hair?? Like a group really saw the irl equivalent of a shiny pokemon and collectively went "I'm gonna bully that" and everyone went along with it for a hundred years. Like WHAT

Donna Noble really got in the TARDIS and on trip number ONE like ONLY the FIRST trip she was like we are going to change history to save a single family because that is how it should work so that is how it does and then on trip number TWO on the SECOND trip she was like we are going to destroy an entire culture of slavery because it is right I don't care if we're two people and then on the THIRD trip she was like I am going to be unbelievably brave to save my home and everyone I love and then on the FOURTH trip she was like no living breathing thinking creature is less than a person and how dare you try to dehumanise someone like that how dare you not give her a name and the list GOES ON this woman NEVER MISSED there goes one of the kindest bravest most constant women you might ever meet and she's a temp from Chiswick

Little things adults and older people can do to help younger people and children feel included, safe, and respected as an equal individual:
Ask before touching the young person - even for hugs. Ask before you take pictures of them, and let them see photographs of them before they are printed or sent to others (even family).
Apologize when you are wrong
Ask for a young persons thoughts on a subject, then engage with them after they have spoken
Demonstrate behaviour you want to see from them (see: apologizing). Say "excuse me," say "thank you," say "please" to them
Validate their feelings, even if they don't know how to express them just yet
Remember that this is the first time they've been alive, and that you've had way longer to "figure it out"
These are some things I wish other adults remembered when engaging with young folks. We so often forget what childhood felt like and how unfair it all was because we were often awarded freedoms as adults that we never had as children. These kids are equal to adults, and they deserve the same courtesy, respect, kindness, and understanding we give to other adults.

I grew up in citrus farming country, and had orange and lemon trees. And I saw a post today about how people in the US have gotten so used to everything being always availible that when they walk into a grocery store in January to buy a lemon, they expect the lemon to be there, and they never even consider how unnatural it is that we have lemons in January.
And this is so completely not the point of that post, which is why I'm making my own post, but this example really really bothers me, because as I said I grew up in citrus country, and citrus are winter fruits, and January is lemon season.
Which ultimately goes to prove the point of that post, that we are so used to this kind of constant availability, that most people don't even know what season is lemon season.

an idea for the ‘Humans are *insert word here*’/ALIEN fans fandom: MUSIC & FILMS & PLAYS/MUSCIALS:
I had this idea in the back of my head for a while now…
what if Aliens or certain species of aliens never heard of Music?… like imagine a human is playing some music as they work and an alien hears it, and because they’ve never experienced it before it all feels euphoric for them…
they’d probably feel and could vividly imagine the lyrics as they happen aswell, and that would put them through astral projection.
I think it’d be the same for films & plays/musicals…
They probably would have a transcendant experience watching them, seeing the creativity of it all, feeling the emotions they see on screen or on stage, and going through this sense of euphoria & astral projection as they see something so bewildering… as they’ve never ever seen something like this, or atleast at such a level it can make them feel sad or angry or happy… it confuses them
which is why they now sometimes start watching moreand more of these films & plays/muscials and more music… so they can try to understand what it is that makes them feel so distant yet so close to reality as they hear & see this.
(like do you get what im saying?)

I know everyone says Needles is the Michael of TMP but I'm gonna be totally honest, I think Needles is MUCH more like Nikola than Michael.
Someone should draw Michael being cool and mysterious and then there's his weird cousins Nikola and Needles just being. themselves in the background
Additional note: i do actually have a fear of needles which probably makes this post all the funnier

Periodic reminder that unless a person specifically and clearly tells you it is okay to tell others they are trans or queer, you should err on the side of caution and assume they do not want you to tell people (especially random people!) about their transness or queerness.
You have no idea, generally, why somebody doesn't talk openly about their trans or queer status, and you have no idea, truly, how somebody might react to that information. The most progressive person out there is still capable of harbouring incredibly negative thoughts about somebody's queer status.
