alastor x wife! reader- theyve been together since they were alive, legit partners in crime they both encouraged eachother to kill and when they reunited in hell after around 8 years they were independent once again UNTIL They got in trouble with Lilith and she took reader to be like her slave until Alastor finished helping Charie with her dream (until he helped prove that demons can be redeemed) so they didnt see each other for another 7 years (his absence)

And all throughout the first season hes like “I miss my wife, Husk. I miss her a lot” (while drunk-) like that one sonic dub meme and starts shaping his shadow creature into reader and talking to it and everyone is like “m yep he’s officially lost it.”

BUT then Sir Pentious is redeemed and Lilith sees and shes like “damn :/“ and send reader to the new hotel via portal and reader just. falls on the ground in front of the big entrance and everyone hears it and they rush out and Alastor is quiet, wide eyed and reader goes smth like “i know- i shouldnt have accepted it in your name but-“ blah blah she rambles on about it and Alastor just goes “Youre as beautiful as the day I los you.” LIKE THAT HEARYBREAKING SCENE FROM HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2 ;-; and everyone reacts in their own way

A/N oh bestie,, i got you. I was actually planning on something similar where Alastor was getting drunk at a bar and talking about the love of his life (I'm still gonna write that one too but I really like this prompt!!) You guys really come up with the best requests, please keep sending them in.

Fuel and the Fire (Alastor x Wife!Partner-in-Crime!Reader)

Alastor and Y/n, partners in crime, the fuel and the fire. On a first glance, it would be assumed she was his fuel, the coal and dry leaves he fed himself by. Once anyone got to know them -- and god, what trouble a person was in if they got to know them -- they quickly realized it was the other way around.

Hand in hand from day one, from childhood. Running from the cops, washing the blood off one another's faces. In the living world and life after death, nothing could tear them apart. He was the soil she planted herself in, he was her rock and Y/n? Well she was Alastor's everything. He'd do anything at all for her, all she had to do was ask.

For a decade, they terrified the living world. They were the reason to double check the lock on the door before bed, they were the ominous shadow at the corner. When cold death wrapped them in his reckless grasp, they turned their terror on Hell.

The pair made a name for themselves quickly, filling up the airwaves and making waves in the underworld. For generations, they reigned supreme. For generations, they knew no fear. Then one day, they simply disappeared.

When Alastor reappeared on the streets seven years later without his shadow, the town was alight with gossip. No one knew where he had been, where she still was, or why he had returned but Alastor quickly rebuilt his operation, setting up shop at Lucifer's daughter's Hazbin Hotel along with several of the souls he owned.

The hotel's other residents and workers were distrustful of the man, to say the least. He was shifty, wore a constant smile, and rumors circled around him like birds of prey. That was until about three months into his stay, at least.

Angel hadn't meant to eavesdrop. He'd been coming down to the bar for a drink and a rant of his own when he'd heard the familiar, crackling voice of the Hotel's host.

"I just... I miss her so much, Husk."

He sounded sad, utterly dejected. Angel crouched down on the staircase, hiding his slim body behind one of the ornate posts supporting the railing.

"You keep saying that but do nothing to go find her. She disappeared the same time as you, you know." came Husk's gruff reply.

"I know she did."

"You keep saying that, acting like you know something. Admit it: you don't know shit, Alastor."

Alastor's radio waves faltered, squeaking slightly. Angel tensed in terror, wondering if he'd been found out. This was clearly a private conversation, and the Radio Demon was testy at the best of times. Right now he seemed positively furious.

"Don't test me, Husk." Alastor said after a moment, breaking the tense silence, "She... we both got roped into something. I am doing my part, she is doing hers."

Angel straightened himself up, deciding it was high time he entered the room. He still wanted that drink, after all. He let his feet fall heavily on the stairs, alerting the others to his presence. Husk turned toward the sound, meeting Angel's eyes as he entered the bar. Alastor, on the other hand, kept his back to the spider demon.

Taking a seat beside Alastor, Husk immediately poured Angel a drink and slid it across the counter towards him.

"So, tough night, Smiles?" Angel asked, turning to Alastor who downed the rest of his drink in a single gulp.

"I don't know what you're talking about, my good fellow." Alastor hummed in response.

There was a threat in his voice, but Angel could tell the demon's heart wasn't in it. Everything was just, odd.

"Yeah... sure..." Angel scoffed, taking a sip of his own drink.

"Radio man was crying to me about his wife five seconds ago." Husk grumbled and Angel's eyes went wide.

"You have a wife?" he asked, turning back to Alastor, "I mean, I get it. I'm in to the whole 'tall dark and creepy' thing too but, you care about someone? I don’t know if I can see it.”

Alastor's eyes narrowed as he turned on Husk. The cat demon rolled his eyes in a brazen display of disrespect. He knew his master well, knew this was the only thing he had any leverage with the man on. With a deep breath, Alastor placed his hands firmly on the bar top and pulled himself to his feet. Not saying another word, he disappeared into his shadows.

That had been the first odd occurrence. Of course Angel had told Charlie and Charlie had told everyone, had even approached Alastor about it. The Radio Demon brushed it all off with skill and for a while, things were quiet.

About a month later, the second strange thing began happening. Alastor had always had a certain sway over shadows, everyone knew that. However, he very rarely used them, brought them out if it wasn't to hide him or take him where he needed to be. Then, suddenly, one began to follow him.

"Uh, Alastor?" Charlie had timidly approached him the first time she saw this happening.

"Yes, Charlie my dear?" Alastor asked, turning to face her as he tossed his microphone in the air, catching it neatly in the center of the stand.

"Well, we were just wondering if everything was... okay?" she asked, her hands behind her back and a pointed gaze on the shadow.

"If everything..." Alastor trailed off, following the path of Charlie's gaze and realizing what was going on, "No, no my dear. Everything is quite all right, quite alright indeed."

"Well, okay... If you say so." Charlie had relented after a few moments, unsure of what else to do.

Eventually, the members of the Hazbin Hotel grew used to the shadows, they too slipped out of their minds. Overcome with impending doom of the extermination just a month away, Alastor's strange behavior was no longer a priority.

That had been until the third odd occurrence came into being. It was Sir Pentious who had noticed it first, drawing it to the group's attention as Alastor walked through the lobby and past the group doing trust exercises there on his way to some meeting or another with the other overlords.

"Sir Pentious?" Charlie had called, trying to bring him back to earth as he watched the place Alastor had occupied, "Sir Pentious?"

"Pentious!" Vaggie yelled and his head snapped to her, "You're not coming up with some new plan to attack Alastor, are you?"

"No!" he quickly exclaimed, waving his hands frantically in the air, "Not at all just..."

"What?" Vaggie asked through gritted teeth, advancing a step forward, her spear in hand.

"It's just... doesn't that shadow Alastor has had following him well.... doesn't it kind of look like a woman?"

Husk broke out into wild laughter while Angel widened his eyes.

"Oh, he's definitely lost it now." Husk exclaimed as he calmed himself, clutching his stomach, "If I knew Y/n was the secret to breaking him down, I woulda done something about it years ago."

"No you wouldn't have, ya big talker." Angel teased, elbowing the cat demon lightly.

"Y/n?" Sir Pentious asked.

"Alastor's wife. That was her name." Husk replied.

"Did you know her?" Charlie asked.

Alastor had left the hotel, the threat that had held their questions at bay for months was gone and the topic was right. Husk nodded.

"So, what's she like?" Angel asked suggestively, "Is she more of a dom? Does deer boy like to get dicked down by his lady?"

"Gross." Charlie shook her head, her hands to her temples, "I do not want to know that."

"She's a good kid." Husk said after a moment, "She's nice..."

He trailed off.

"But?" Vaggie prompted, sensing there was more that he wanted to say.

Husk sighed.

"If you think Alastor is trouble, she's a fucking house fire set for the insurance money."

"So probably not interested in being a guest." Charlie dejectedly stated.

Husk shrugged.

"You never know. It has been seven years since anyone has seen her. Alastor allegedly knows where she's at but, he hasn't gone after her. Just keeps whining to me about it so, I don't know. Maybe she's changed. I doubt it though. Sweet as a pea, sharp as a knife."

Charlie had never felt such relief as when she learned Alastor had not died in the chaos of the battle. The hotel was destroyed, heaven was pissed, Sir Pentious had died but, at least he was alright. They rebuilt the hotel, Alastor's same shadow of a woman trailing after him wherever he went. After about a week, thanks to all the angelic and demonic powers involved in the construction, the new Hotel was finished.

It was just as they put the finishing touches on the place, hung the portrait of Sir Pentious they'd commissioned above the fire place, that a portal opened in the lobby. Everyone tensed, banding together behind Charlie and Alastor. Angels were coming, they were sure of it.

A crash echoed from the other side, a sharp yell and then something tumbled through the portal. With a flash, the portal disappeared behind the shape of a person huddled on the floor. She coughed violently.

Alastor's eyes went wide. Everyone else was too distracted to notice, but if they'd have been paying attention, they would have seen his shadow disappear.

The girl was filthy, her clothes torn and her hair tangled. She let out another, sharp cough before slowly lifting her head. Alastor took a trembling step forward.

"Y/n?" he asked, his voice soft in disbeleif.

A smile, wide and sharp, split the woman's bruised face in two.

"Hey hun, I'm home."

In a flash, he was at her side, helping her to her feet, checking her for wounds.

"Jesus, Y/n." he sighed, "You're a mess."

"I know."

"Y/n-"

"I know. I shouldn't have done it, you don't need to lecture me. I didn't have a choice. It was you or me, Al. I couldn't... I can't... I had to. You've gotta understand."

"Sweetheart-"

Y/n cut him off again, her speech a single, constant, stressed-out stream.

"It was stupid, I know. I know. I really do but, she gave me the option and I couldn't say no cause then if I said no you'd really be the one in trouble a-"

Alastor raised a hand gently to her cheek and Y/n's words caught in her throat. She looked up at him, meeting his eyes at last.

"You're as beautiful as the day I lost you."

His voice was soft, so quiet the others could barely hear him. Y/n's cheeks flushed a bright pink. Her hands found the lapels of his jacket, holding them lightly.

"I.." she stuttered, her mind racing.

With a sigh and a slight shake of her head, she gave up in the search for words and buried herself in his chest. Alastor wrapped his arms around Y/n, pressing her tightly into his frame.

"God, I missed you." she said, her voice muffled by the fabric.

Alastor pressed a gentle kiss to the top of her head.

"I love you." she continued, "I'm so sorry."

Alastor pulled her off of him, leaning down the slightest bit so they were eye to eye. Y/n, wiped a stray tear away, letting out a slight, sad laugh. Alastor's eyes traversed her face, caressing every crevasse.

"I'm so glad your alright but, I don't understand." he said at last, "How are you back? The deal..."

Y/n nodded and Alastor's eyes went wider still. Leaning on Alastor's shoulder for support, she turned her eyes onto the rest of the group.

"You must be Charlie." she hummed softly, meeting the young demon's gaze.

Taking a deep breath, Charlie stepped forward and nodded.

"Yes, I am. I run the Hazbin Hotel, which is where you are, to help rehabilitate sinners."

"I know." Y/n nodded, her voice quavering slightly, "I've heard so much about you. You... my dear, it worked."

"I- what?" every other question died in Charlie's throat, shock shot through her body like a bullet.

"It worked." Y/n confirmed, "You did it. I had a deal, a deal which Alastor went to your side to get me out of. If you succeeded in redeeming a soul with his aid, I would be free. And here I am."

"Here you are." Alastor repeated, spinning Y/n to face him once again.

She wobbled unsteadily on her feet. Catching sight of this along with the numerous wounds all over her body, Alastor scooped Y/n up into his arms like he did when they had first been married, when they had crossed the first threshold together. Y/n looped her arms around his neck, exhaustion seeping in with the relief as she let her head fall on his chest.

"Vaggie..." Charlie began as she turned to her girlfriend, "you don't think..."

"Pentious?" Vaggie asked and Charlie nodded.

"It's gotta be." Angel confirmed.

"You did good, kid." Husk smiled, patting Charlie on the back.

Y/n raised her head at the sound of a familiar voice, her eyes opening.

"Husker?" she asked with a smile.

The cat demon stepped forward, bowing slightly.

"Husker! I-"

"Enough of that, my love." Alastor cut her off, tapping her nose gently, "You need a shower and some rest. You can meet everyone in the morning."

Y/n crossed her arms, narrowing her eyes as she looked up at her husband.

"Promise?"

"Yes, I promise." he sighed.

"Does that mean you're staying?" Charlie asked tentatively and the couple turned to her.

"Whatever the little lady desires." Alastor stated, looking back down at his wife in a lovestruck daze.

"Yes, Charlie. We're staying." Y/n laughed, "Things need to start changing around here and I don't see anyone else doing a god damn thing to make that happen except for you."

"I.." Charlie was speechless, the kindness this fear inspiring woman was directing towards her, having never met her before. What Husk had said made sense, she smiled, "Thank you. I don't know what you did, but that you both so much."

"Anything for my favorite girl." Alastor kissed Y/n softly.

"Oh, get a room." Angel scoffed, rolling his eyes.

Can I suggest Iida from My Hero Academia?

My first impression: I thought he was funny as hell. I didn't see the first season until after my watching of season 2 and midway of season 3. So I caught his more comedic moments like the battle between him and Mei.

My impression now: Tenya is great, I like him! He's a good kid and means well.

Favorite thing about that character: I'll say this later, but I like that Tenya isn't too serious of a character. Instead, as the story goes on, he does loosen up, even though he can still be a little too much at times. At best, he just doesn't want the class to get too out of hand, but still have fun.

Least favorite thing: Watching season 1's first couple of episodes I was like "he is so serious..." I didn't exactly hate it and honestly, I didn't think I would care much for Tenya. Of course, my mind has changed since.

Favorite line/scene: There's a couple, but to choose... in season 4, Tenya actually mocks Izuku saying something like "in just one day, I have been completely left behind" and then called him "house arrest". I wasn't expecting that at all!

Favorite interaction that character has with another: I love how he interacts with Izuku, but I especially love the moments he has with Ochako. Kinda hate how some of the fandom forgets that Izuku isn't the only boy Ochako hangs out with. My favorite interaction with Tenya and Ochako is back in season 1 during their first team battles. Their exchange during that was funny as hell.

A character that I wish that character would interact with more: I know we got some flashbacks, but I would love to have seen more Iida Brothers scenes. (For those who don't know, Tensei is my favorite big brother of BNHA... and honestly, the best one, tied with Rody.) Scratch that, not even just them, but more scenes with them and their parents, too. Probably a spin-off of the Iida Family and how they became one of the top hero families.

Another character from another fandom that reminds me of that character: It's been years since I actually watched Free, but Iida reminds me of Rei. Blue haired, glasses wearing tall teens with serious, but not so serious personalities and voiced by J. Michael Tatum? Twinsies.

A headcanon about that character: I headcanon that Iida does have a couple of glasses that are in funky colors and/or have designs on them. Some even being different lenses shapes.

A song that reminds of that character: Ever heard of the Sonic X's theme song?

An unpopular opinion about that character: I don't think Iida is that much of a "stick in the mud" as some of the fandom thinks. Especially since sometimes he's just as silly as the rest of the cast and sometimes he's the one breaking the rules.

Favorite picture: I really like this one sketch Horikoshi drew and of course, I get a chuckle out of Iida's funny poses.

My discombobulated thoughts now that I have finished Sonic Prime SPOLIERS!!!!!!!

Okay so I watched season 1 in parts and season 2 when it came out and just watched season 3 today. I binged everything, so if I don’t remember something 100% correctly, that’s why.

Sonic prime is good.

I know, shocker.

Okay, I haven’t watched any of the other shows so I can’t compare it to X or Boom or whatever. But this seemed to have a darker tone than most other sonic media and I enjoyed that a lot. (I know I need to watch SATAM, don’t yell at me.)I’ve dipped in and out of this fandom a lot. And my participation is all over the place (I won’t be posting about Ken spenders anymore, I took my Kenspiracies too far when I had that stupid twitter account yeah, that was me) but ANYWAY

This show was great. Not perfect, the main flaw I found was the pacing is very fact paced and action heavy which is good for a Sonic show and good for a person with ADHD like me. However I found the first season took awhile to get going and was more episodic. I know it was to introduce the characters but I got bored a bit. I’ll say again I liked the episode in Season 1 with Thorn Rose but the Boscage Maze and especially No Place never felt that fleshed out to me. I still wanted them to be saved because I cared about Sonic and his friends, but the worlds weren’t very interesting.

I. Love. New. Yoke. The aesthetic of this place is perfect and VERY Sonic CD bad future-seque which is PERFECT. I only wish we spent more time there. Especially in season 3 which takes place entirely in the Grim after the first two episodes, which I get, I do, but the pacing again, I felt was too fast and too much action and not enough character moments. The he ending felt rushed, because I really wanted to see the rebels rebuild New Yoke after the Egg Council was gone (assuming the other shatterspaces didn’t freeze in time like Green Hill did, but I got the implication that was a unique case.) and I wanted to see the others return home as well. I guess this leaves it open to a sequel or expansion of some kind, comics, some kind of spin off media, I’d even love an animated movie if they fixed the pacing issues, but yeah, that was my only gripe. I guess I wanted more time with Sonic and Nine reconciled too before everything happened but that’s the painful thing in life, sometimes you don’t get that. We know the prism still exists so then interacting again some way in the future might be possible, if they know how to control portals and such, hell with the chaos emerald they might be able to go to other worlds anyway. I wonder where Shadow is keeping the prism. I wonder if Nine stays on the Grim by himself or if he goes back to New Yoke. He deserves friends, and I’m sure some of the others would come around to him given time. renegade Knucks was up there fighting with Sonic after all. It could work. I just want him to be happy :((

I guess those are small nitpicks in the grand scheme of things because I want to say that the tone and storytelling was GREAT, the music was epic and cinematic and fit the tone of the show very well, the contrasting color palettes of different worlds really helped make it pop. The 3D animation was fantastic and felt perfect for a show like this. Characters were VERY expressive. (Hey Sega, can you update your in game models please thanks, you know it’s bad when the SA2 models have more dynamic facial expressions). Anyway, I thought the voice acting was great. Shadow’s voice felt a little wrong but I’m probably just used to Humphrey and Griffith, I don’t like his voice in forces either but I digress. It worked for this. Sonic’s VA was amazing and really able to convey a wide range of emotions and I thought the other characters had good VAs. Nine was great. I do wish maybe he’d had a redemption earlier against a greater threat a la Zuko style but one can dream. Nine is still easily the best version of Tails, ever. I was lukewarm on Tails as a character before and Nine made me appreciate everything about all versions of Tails. Incredible. What I love about Nine is he takes things too far because he has serious trust issues and him and Sonic fail to communicate which as a neurodivergent person is very relatable. I think Tails in general and especially Nine, is very autistic coded, and I love that. I just wish season 3 Nine had more development before the end because his arc was perfect until the end of season 2 but I’m at least glad he did realize and did the right thing. He’s really just a scared kid who wants a safe place, don’t we all? Again I REALLY want to see more material with him in the future and what becomes of him with Sonic gone.

My other favorite side characters were Thorn Rose, Rusty Rose, and Dread, but I thought they were all great. I loved that the roses had a great character moment, as did Dread when he finally realized that saving his friends was more important than treasure. The Egg council was awesome, taking different traits of Eggman and turning them into a squabbling family was PERFECT. The fact that they met their demise because they were arguing over the prism was so real. Great stuff.

I want to talk about Sonic himself because this is one of the best Sonics I’ve seen. I haven’t decided if this is better than Movie Sonic, but I love both a ton along with Adventure. This Sonic is one of the most expressive Sonics with the most emotional range. Yeah, he’s still overly cocky and hilarious, and mostly always optimistic, but I love that he actually learns from his mistakes and comes up with new ideas. The fact he even took inspiration from the Egg Council to never give up was great. I loved the robots of all the main characters as well. Sonic was well written, VERY in character but still serious when he needs to be (unlike Archie Sonic (sometimes) and 06, which is bad).

Speaking of 06, this is the best written Shadow we have gotten since 06. I mentioned very early on in this blog how I love his arc through Shadow 05 and Sonic 06. Sonic is way out of character and the Elise thing is stupid, BUT, Team Dark was perfect in 06. It’s sad we don’t have Team Dark anymore, but Rouge on team sonic was cool, I just like Rouge in general and if they’re gonna make her part of the main cast, good. Okay, back to Shadow. His development in game is that he goes from being angry at the world and wanting revenge, to being emotionally numb and trying to figure out the truth, to finally realizing his purpose and knowing not to give up and kicking the bad guys when it hurts. He’s hard to crack, but he DOES care about his friends, as you can see through subtle actions, rather it be Team Dark, Sonic, whatever. He’d never ADMIT to Sonic that they’re friends, but I do genuinely think he cares for Sonic.

Anyway, Shadow has been stagnant as a character since then, the best writing was in Forces with him vs. Infinite but it didn’t do much to further his character. He hasn’t been in a lot of media lately like Frontiers (although maybe they knew they couldn’t write him well for games and wanted to see how he went over in prime and the upcoming movie). Prime Shadow made me more excited for Movie Shadow, because if we got one of, if not THE best Sonics ever in Prime as well as the movie, I’m expecting good things from Shadow in the movie, considering they really nailed Tails and Knuckles in Sonic 2, imo, and now knowing that Shadow is allowed to have feelings again is so good. He’s very in character, overly serious, and cold, but he is incredibly dedicated to the cause and unquestionably a hero, like 06 Shadow. Prime Shadow reminds me a LOT of 06 Shadow and that’s GOOD. He’s also just great with his subtle nod to Sonic when Sonic talks about his friends, their excellent back and forthing with Sonic cracking jokes “I didn’t know you were a hugger” and Shadow responding with his straight man persona “do you want me to save you or not?” It was great stuff all the way through. I thought he was decent in Season 2, but Season 3 was AWESOME. I guess I had to trade Nine for Shadow, sigh. Nine did come back around in the end which GOOD, if they kept him as a villain the whole time I would’ve been pissed, but I digress. This might be the best Shadow since SA2, he’s SO GOOD YALL and I could keep raving about Prime Shadow all day. I loved when Dr. Deep called him an edge lord, it’s great meta humor, and in character for Deep who actually is an edge lord. Really hope SEGA takes the positive feedback from this and makes Shadow better in upcoming games/comics. LET FLYNN WRITE A GOOD SHADOW FOR GOD’S SAKE!

Anyway, I’m glad I watched Prime, it gave us the best Sonic Shadow and Tails maybe ever and it took the darker tone that Forces tried and really fleshed it out. Good job guys.

Would you like to share any personal thoughts towards the Sonic Human characters besides than Eggman? (Ex; Elise, Chris, and Maria)

uhhh... ok

elise should have been modeled a little more cartoony from the get-go but the fact she wasn't is in no way a knock against her as a character, and her design was adorable otherwise. she's a perfectly fine character and i'm not about to blame a character who is conceptually interesting and complex in ways that are contextually coherent and relevant for the other faults found in a work.

at several points i did feel like aspects of chris's character and place in the narrative felt at odds, in the sense that he is an extraordinarily normal boy despite how absurdly rich he is meant to be and i felt like he should either just be a totally normal middle class child or have an exaggerated well-intentioned-but-spoiled rich boy personality. but he was otherwise fine. got a lil weird in season 2 but in a way that made sense so it really didn't bother me especially since he grew out of it. i always liked how he was characterized in season 3, and found his arc in that season to be really interesting.

shadow the hedgehog should have met and directly interacted with helen at some point during sonic x. like any point. i like the relationship he formed with chris, i thought it made contextual and narrative sense, and actually prefer it to the original game's sequence of events ... but at the same time the similarities between helen and maria both in terms of appearance as well as their arcs - both being optimistic, kind-hearted, blue-eyed, blonde-haired white girls who live/d with chronic illnesses that disabled them in some way and are acutely aware of the ways this inconveniences their families who love them very much, that perhaps underestimate/d how much they are loved and treasured, who want to help others and do more than maybe they are capable of at the moment, ect ... i liked helen a lot. i also thought it was cute she and chris ended up together lol. shadow should get to go to the wedding

Everything I Managed to Watch in 2022

I might as well give you my thoughts on...exactly what it says on the tin. I'll try to keep things short and simple since I'm kinda tired and I wanna finish celebrating the year's end, lmao.

First up, the movies!

On the television side of things, Smiling Friends, Dead End, The Cuphead Show, and Super Robot Giant Brothers, were pretty good! The Cuphead Show got better after its rather mediocre first season and I grew to love it. Smiling Friends I was happy turned out good as I expected, and I'm excited for season 2. Dead End was a nice surprise, I grew to like the characters and I appreciated how it handled its LGBT and Autism representation. Super Giant Robot Brothers deserves more love, Reel FX did a good job with that one, had some dynamic action and fun character moments.

For decent stuff, the only one was Hamster and Gretel. Will get back to it, but I hope gets a better execution than Milo Murphy's Law, which I liked too but the second season wasn't so great, oof.

On the other hand, shows that didn't wowed me were Oddballs and sadly Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight. The former had some decent jokes and maybe a character that amused me like Max, but the other attempts at jokes fell flat and characters like Echo really annoyed me.

The Dragon Knight was like the biggest disappointment for me. As a huge fan of KFP, I was hoping it would turn out to be a good show, maybe a better outing than the last KFP TV show. But I stopped at I think episode 5 and lost interest all around. The animation was a bit unfinished, and the writing choices were kind of questionable. I am glad they brought back Jack Black as Po, but alas...

There's like other shows that aired this year along with new seasons of other shows I love, but I'll watch them for next year.

For the anime stuff, Demon Slayer Season 2 was great, same with Spy X Family and Attack on Titan. Really happy I managed to give it another shot. Chainsaw Man also aired and of course was incredible. I'm already caught up with the manga and I'm eager to see how they'll handle the rest of the story soon. Urusei Yatsura 2022 I also want to shout out. I need to get back into binging the original series, but so far, the reboot is neat!

And also, I made a list of Anime Openings I watched this year and fell in love with. Keep in mind, I haven't seen any of these anime yet based on this list, aside from the ones I just mentioned above and also My Hero Academia, but I lost interest for that series because of story problems lately, yeah...

I'll get the chance to watch the others soon, don’t worry!

Here's what I got for Christmas for 2022.

I got Diary of a Wimpy Kid Diper Overlode, a Sonic Unleashed Suitcase if I were to put something in. I got an Isabelle muchi muchi pillow. Which I was gonna get a Tails one, but didn't have it. Speaking of Tails, I got a Tails Plushie and even got a Knuckles one as well since I have like a 2003 version of the Knuckles Plush from like Sonic X or something. I got two Pikachu Plushies that are summer themed since Summer is my favorite season. Like I got the one with the hat and the one with the blue hibiscuit, since I remember seeing the Pikachu Plushies like that at GameStop since I didn't know GameStop can sell merchandise like plushies and clothes and other misc stuff since it usually sells Video games. Cause I have been to GameStop for many years every time I want to go and buy a video game. And for video games, I got 3 Switch games and a PlayStation 4 and a PlayStation 5 game. For PlayStation 5, I got Destruction All-stars and for PlayStation 4, I got Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered, since I do love Need for Speed a lot since it is my favorite Racing game I can play. But for Destruction All-stars however, I'll give the game a shot just depends if I have enough memory on my PlayStation 5 until I get a SSD Hard Drive that can get them all in. For Switch, I got Kirby Star Allies which I'll be playing until I get Kirby and the Forgotten Land, which would be bizarre if I had to get 2 Copies like one for me and one for my sister. Cause my sister does want to try that game out too. I got Pokemon Scarlet cause I know if some people have Pokemon Violet, I might play with others especially if I want to battle or trade. And avoid any of the glitchy parts until they decide to update the game. Next I got a Mario Party Superstars game which I have played Super Mario Party with other people including like my sisters played it and same for people online, which I should give it a shot with playing Mario Party Online since it isn't fun when playing multiplayer games by yourself. I got a Bluey cup like if I were getting a small drink like Hot Chocolate or something warm. And for Bluey in a Christmas special, what's confusing is that Bluey celebrates Christmas in the Summer. That's cause in the Summer Hemisphere like Brazil, Australia, New Zealand Etc. Bluey does come from the Country, Australia cause the seasons are a lot different compared to the Northern Hemisphere. I got a PlayStation 5 Controller in Red since I do enjoy some of the different colors of the controllers. And if my White Controller is low on Batteries, I can always charge it and use a different controller. And if they're both fully charged, I'm sure I can invite a friend over and play a 2 player game as well as for having either my brother or Sisters playing with me. I got some new Pure Bass Wireless Bluetooth Headphones like the JBL Brand, now I can still use some Noise Cancelling stuff so no sounds would ever bother me like if i were sleeping or wanting to listen to music while not being interrupted for anything not important. And finally, I got a Sonic Unleashed Suitcase like if I were going to put something in it like pencils or bookmarks and stuff. And I got some Sonic theme socks which are from the Sequel to the Live Action Sonic Movie even though I haven't seen it yet, which I should if I want to watch it on Hulu or Paramount+ I also got these Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards from Series 5, but they're so small that my mom said they still work. But I have to test them when I get the chance. And that's all the Presents I got for This year's Christmas. I hope everyone will have a Merry Christmas.

For the Ask Game: Your top 5 most hated characters.

Oof, this is a tough one, haha! I really can't think of any characters I truly hate... But there's certainly characters I dislike or don't think too fondly of, if I think of them at all. I really wrecked my brain as best I could, but there's only three (groups of) characters I can think of that I just don't particularly care about, namely these. Unpopular opinions incoming!

3. Cream the Rabbit: I don't do well with extremely high-pitched voices, and her whole shtick of Cute Polite Little Girl just doesn't do it for me either. I like her in Rush... because she has only a handful of voice clips, and got some sass to her, plus her friendship with Blaze is quite sweet. But otherwise, she doesn't engage me much.

2. Chris Thorndyke: I haven't watched Sonic X in years, but I do recall that the first episode of Sonic X was my favourite for a long time, because he only appeared there at the very end. The issue is that he seems to take away from game characters without contributing anything interesting in return for me. Plus, the way the narrative presents him does not check out to me: it states him to be a lonely child, but his parents do seem to be quite engaged in his life (such as him being allowed to go to the castle where his mom is shooting a movie, both of them coming home when he is ill and stuff), especially as time goes on in the anime and adjacent comics. Therefore, I dislike how he's willing to force Sonic to stay with him and throw two worlds in turmoil, and then in season 3 abandoning his friends and family to go meet Sonic again despite it being highly uncertain if he can ever return, if I remember correctly.

1. The Freedom Fighters (I'll just take them as a collective): I didn't grow up with them, and thus they never really endeared themselves to me. As it stands, they just don't interest me; also here, for me they seem to take away from the game characters, without contributing anything interesting in turn. I don't want them to return to any Sonic media: for me, their story is over, and I think it is place for both old and new characters to get a chance to shine. It doesn't help that their stories are highly specifically tailored to the world of SatAM and Archie, and thus introducing them in official media in a way that makes them even remotely keep their backstories is likely going to be more trouble than it is worth.

#so yeah: don't hate them but I also certainly don't like them haha #ask game #two other possible contenders are Big and the Rogues but they show up *so* little in games I played or know about-#-that it is honestly hard to really figure out *why* I dislike them

Sonic prime season 2 [Opinion]

So, I have seen all episodes of the second season and I must say I am very disappointed.

It was starting very good with the first episode, shadow showed so much emotion. How desperate Shadow was to follow sonic... it made me tear up so much. Poor boy

But the more episodes I watched the less interested I became.

There were good moments indeed, like when Black Rose and Rusty Rose were acting very kind to each other, or when Dread and Renegate Knux fought with each other.

Another one would be the fight sonic and shadow had against each other at the beginning or the last fight they had together in the end of the season, buuuut... yeah it was very sus.

Hehe I bet the Sonadow fans out there are screaming xD

Btw in the German version, sonic even said that he loves Shadow when shadow saved Sonic from the missiles... even it it was meant to be sarcastic... (Episode 8 minute 3:14... I guess) -w-"

I kinda think the character were kinda out of character.

Like Sonic in the first episode was really desperate and sad with his shaking hands, but since when he saved shadow from the darkness in void he was the same annoying and cocky hedgehog like before. It made me so angry. Of course he took it more seriously, but his bahaviour still made me angry.

And always this loosing shard because the writers just wanted a 3rd season. :/

Then we got the Rouge from this wood AU... I mean... why would she not fight for her friend Thorn Rose? I thought they wanted to protect the woods together? But yeah nevermind that, she did fight after some time... -_-"

The part with this copy thing of metal sonic was awesome. Chaos Sonic was it? Yeah. It was soo cool so why did they only kept him in only one episode???

My little brother is such a big fan of metal and was soooo happy when he saw that version, but then he was so sad and so was I.

Also awesome was how Dread turned every member of his crew against sonic. I knew since the start that Dread was evil but I never expected him to lie.

(I could imagine that our original echidna hates lying over everything.

I mean: In the sonic x anime Knuckles says everything that he thinks without being afraid of having someone to disagree. Also Eggman lied to knuckles a few times so I think knuckles is tired of lies.)

But I really was annoyed how many times dread lost the shard. It reminded me how fvcked up knuckles did at guarding the master emerald sometimes. I don't blame knuckles for that btw he is my fav character, I mean it is hard to grow up completely alone knowing that your entire kind is dead, knowing that you are destined to be alone and staying at one spot.

The character which were completely perfect and well written where shadow and Amy (Every amy in the universes was perfect :D)

But... now comes the most annoying thing from all:

the end with Nine really made me swear. Of course nine had his own emotions and ect buuuut Nine already knew what Sonic wanted sooo Nine just used Sonic?

I am not mad that Nine felt that way, buuuut it made me soo fvcking angry. Like whyyy? Our normal Tails is Nine in an certain way sooo whyy end the season in that episode? They could have just made another episode where sonic makes some deep talk with Nine and then they bring the shards back.

I am not going to talk about the giant eggman titan in the last episode. It kinda seemed like the writers had no other idea then of putting a giant eggman kinda hologram thingy as the biggest enemy.

All in all, some parts were good but in the end I am still dissapointed about how it ended. And that I need to wait for another season.

Respect to the animators, storywriters and voice actors that they did it so fast, but fast isn't always good.

I mean I would have prefered waiting a few more months but then with a better and more interesting storywriting. ^^

Outside of me gushing about cosmo though i think itd be fun to lay out all my sonic x opinions now. boom:

I think its quality verrrry much has like. a very steep rise and fall. I think season 1 is pretty consistently fun and alright-- the stakes are lower and silly but people can enjoy that kind of thing. and they also have a lot of fun with the POTENTIAL of the silliness to-- i.e. the baseball episode. also it helps that like. its a plot not based on any particular games, and its built WITH its human cast-- not around it. Like the humans are fun and enjoyable because theyre meant to be there. And i think that's why season 2 is just.... a mess.

Because while i enjoyed the sa2 arc (and i really think the new speech that chris gives hits a bit harder than the og. even if it should've been amy giving it), they rush the SHIT out of the sa1 arc (and kinda sa2), and they try to push their human characters into narratives that WEREN'T built for them. and while for some this works (mr.stewart, cause hes an agent and investigates g.u.n.), for most, it really, really doesn't.

they try to fit chris into unchanged sonic adventure plots and it just DOESNT work. because you want to include your main human character in the main plot, but you don't want to take away any characterization or fan favorite moments from the actual sonic characters. so the solution ends up being chris tagging alone for no discernable purpose, and often times being what causes things to go wrong. It definitely goes worse in the sa1 arc than 2, but the issue still stands and then there's after the adventure arcs. the sonic battle arc was GOOD but outside of that? the writing kind of.... it feels like im watching a fish dying out of water. they had to fit in sa1, sa2, and battle, but because there isn't a season-long overarching plot, when thats over, theyre at a loss on how to fill the space, and match the new tone and stakes they set with those other arcs.

and then there's the whole ending plot of season 2 that relies on chris completely redoing a revelation that he already HAD, and actually goes backwards as a character. and i think this is where chris gets the worst. because he is now just actively getting in the protagonists way of actually MOVING ON to an INTERESTING plotline and youre just watching like please man can you let sonic go.

ANYWAYS i think ive seen people make fun of or dislike season 3 for its edginess but to me it is. by far the best. They set the stakes well, get serious, and get you engaged right off the bat. chris is there still but he actually takes a backseat to whats going on. they add a new character but they give her ATTENTION and its GOOD attention and great writing and she is very deeply woven into the story. And they just keep it up throughout the whole season-- like yeah ofc some episodes are gonna be a bit of a bore but for the whole season, i was engaged.

like theres real stakes going on, villains who i find believably dangerous and a threat to sonic, with interesting goals and motives. None of the plot feels like its forcing itself to exist, like it does in season 2. It's clear the writers got the clear to write their own original plot again for the whole season and they had so much fun with it.

and the characterization... oughghggh it was good (well, with the exception of rouge. they made her so MEAN that season and shes the only one with scenes that i actually violently disagree with. Her character goes up towards the end but it never shouldve gone down that far to begin with). while unfortunately sonics character is still kinda stagnant throughout the whole anime, even HE gets a few shining character moments (moments of self-sacrifice, mostly.) and SHADOW. god it makes me miss old shadow writing so bad. he's not perfect either but he's GOOD. he's still the shadow i know and love and i miss him. okay thats enough sonic x thoughts this is so long
