Someone on tik tok described having identical twins as a magic trick your body decides to play and it sent me down a spiral about Jude and Taryn.

It was actually so genius of Holly Black to make them identical twins. It just makes so much sense to have identical twins specifically in a elfhame. the fact that they are essentially clones of one another is an anomaly to the folk. They find it odd. Maybe even magical and uncomfortable. The same way Jude and Taryn find elfhame odd and magical. And the fact that they’re mirror images of one another but took different folk traits to survive in elfhame? Genius. Ah.

I just read The Queen of Attolia again. I can’t help think that perhaps Eugenides’ fathers tried to strangle him not only to save him from torture and a horrible death, but because Eugenides admitted to his father that he’s in love with Attolia and this is why he wants to become king. His father literally couldn’t control himself and the chains were conveniently on hand. 😌

I just finished reading mob psycho and I have a few points to make from my own perspective:

1) I adore the fact that the series focuses on the importance of human connection. That we all need somebody even if we do have supernatural abilities. No matter how powerful or old you are, one day you will need help from the people around you.

2) Everyone has the capacity to change and to improve. We can all do better in our own lives and to help each other, self-improvement is possible. Even so, that doesn't mean you have to go out of the way to save everyone but you can still try.

3) People will disappoint you, but you don't have to let them hold you back. If theyre willing to improve you can forgive them, but it's also perfectly acceptable to drop them.

4) At the end of the day, we only have a brief time together as people. We will all eventually grow apart and have our own lives so why not make memories that last a life time?

One of my things about Alice isnt Dead is how Keisha is so unmistakably as a hero. But also isnt. I think the whole 2nd and 3rd season frame really well is that Keisha is a women with two missions. And once she completes those missions she is done. She gets to go home. She finds Alice makes some kind of peace and then fights thistle. She bears witness to the world. The good and the bad and moves foward. I appreciate how afraid she is always. Always flinching and relentless. I like how she tells the story as both train of thought and as a memory.

one of these days i need to do a proper writing about this series. i think it deserves the love but also i need to do it cuz i want to do it. Anway
