My OC but I can't draw - The Widow

Maitreyi Jokhar (she/her & South Indian), Earth-206202, Present day, Spider-man/Black Widow (kind of) variant

I doubt anyone's gonna see this, but if you do and you like my character, let me know, cuz idk whether I should try to write stuff about her like other creators on Tumblr or if I should just keep her within the confinement of my mind lol.

Summary: She's basically the Black Widow if she was Spider-man and Indian. She went through a very similar process as the MCU Black Widow when it comes to her backstory. As for her suit, I got inspiration from Cindy Moon/Silk Spider and she basically wears a black face mask with a silver and black suit with straight black pants/jeans over them. She has her black hair pulled back in a braid that falls to her mid-back with curtain bangs to frame her face. For her backstory, I tried to make it as accurate to the MCU universe as I could because shes a product of H.Y.D.R.A, and I also tried to follow the storyline of ATSV but if there are any mistakes, please correct me! I made her bisexual and it'll briefly mention that below too. I'm going to ship her with Hobie Brown, cuz I'm obsessed with him, so some of that will be down as well. If you have any feedback or anything, that would be greatly appreciated, because I'm still pretty new to Tumblr and this is my first Spider-sona/OC! Also, if anyone can think of a better name for her, please let me know, cuz "The Widow" feels kind of cliche, lol.

This is a MEDIUM-LENGTH POST (About 1.2k words)

Backstory, Personality, Looks, Relationship, Fighting Style and Canon Events are all under the cut! 💜

I think I gave her too much trauma but whatever, character development and all that great stuff :p

Backstory:

Kidnapped and sold into child trafficking at the age of 5

Eventually forced into the Red Room/Black Widow Program from the ages of 7-14(the same one that Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow was subject to)

In this universe, the Red Room Program is an extension of Hydra

Chosen to be part of one of Hydra's new super-soldier experiments at the age of 15 after hundreds of failed attempts at replicated the super-serum used on Captain America during WWII

Gave her the same powers as the normal Spider-man except she has a limited amount of webs and has fangs which inject extremely deadly venom

Continued to be trained by Hydra until the age of 16, when the Avengers of her universe were finally able to find the base and invade it

Captain America/Steve Rogers of her universe took her in and treated her like a daughter, because she reminded him of Bucky who he lost in the war

She became an Avenger until her universe's version of Avengers Infinity War happened, except they weren't able to bring everyone back, and they were only able to get rid of the infinity stones

Half of the universe disappeared, including most of her Avenger friends

The world blamed superheroes for this and superheroes were no longer revered in this universe and were instead hated

She gave up her mask until she was eventually recruited by Miguel at the age of 18, only a few months after she gave it up

Looks:

I can't draw her out but this is what I imagine her to look like in my head

Fairly short, about 5'5ish

Black hair that she pulls back into a loose braid that falls to her mid-back with curtain bangs framing her face

Medium brown skin cuz she's South Indian, so probably an almond brown color with big dark brown eyes and long lashes

Wears a black face mask instead of a normal Spider-man mask, kind of like Silk/Cindy Moon's

Her suit is a black and silver spider-man suit and she wears straight black pants, kind of like straight jeans over them.

Has a big silver spider emblem on her back

Fingerless gloves to make it easier to stick onto walls

Has a side pocket in her pants where she hides a knife given to her by her version of Aunt May (expanded on in the canon events section of the post below)

Personality:

Cold, and doesn't really like to open up to people because of her trauma

When she does open up it comes out very emotionally and she kind of bursts

She has anger issues, and can get pretty heated, especially if she's performed badly during a mission or missed a punch during a fight

She beats herself up over little things, and expects perfection from herself (trauma)

She has a punching bag for this reason and she's always in the conditioning/training area of the Spider Society, trying to be better, to be the best

Despite this, she's really gentle and quiet around people she cares about (Hobie, Margo, Pav, etc...)

Doesn't enjoy physical touch unless its from someone she really cares about or feels safe around

Her love language is physical touch and quality time and if she's around someone she cares about, she'll constantly be touching them, whether its holding their hand, holding their finger or having her arm around their waist

Doesn't crack jokes like the average spider-man, has a very dry sense of humor when she does make jokes

Once someone get really close to her, she'll never let them go, always being really clingy and hugging on to them, cuz shes afraid of losing them like she lost everyone else

She never got the chance to be a kid, so she can seem a little clingy and childish at times.

She tries hard not to be, but its so difficult when she's so afraid of being alone again

Fighting Style:

She's very acrobatic

She tends to fight differently than the average Spider-person because she was trained to be more of an assassin

Uses anything in the environment she can get her hands on, like sticks, knives, sharp rocks, even pencils

Shes very handy with guns

Stopped holding back her punches after her canon event (expanded on in the canon events section of this post below)

Relationships:

After joining the Spider-Society, she met Hobie Brown and fell head over heels for him, although she would never admit it

He reminded her of Captain America/Steve cuz of how vocal Hobie is about his values and beliefs

Steve was the same way and she always admired that so it fueled her crush on Hobie

They became friends shortly after she arrived

She told Hobie about how people in her universe don't like superheroes after what happened and he immediately asked her if she wanted to stay with him in his dimension instead

She got very flustered but eventually said yes and now she stays in his spare room

He's trying to teach her how to play the guitar, but she's not that good at it

But she has a really nice singing voice

Sometimes she'll sit down next to Hobie when he plays the guitar and softly sing along to the music with her head on her knees

Its comforting for her and she likes being around him

Maitreyi isn't ACAB like Hobie, but she supports him either way, going with him to protests and being in the audience when his band plays

Since she was brought up in present-day she doesn't have as many bad experiences with racism as he does, but she, as a brown-skinned individual, has dealt with it before

She found that after moving to Brooklyn, there was a lot of prejudice against dark-skinned people, especially since she lived in the upscale, predominantly white neighborhood with her version of Aunt May

Because of this, she can somewhat relate to him, but not on the same level

Maitreyi also became close with Margo Kess/Spider-byte

They clicked when they first met

Margo likes to show Maitreyi all the cool tech she makes because her universe is a lot more advanced than Maitreyi's

She loves silently sitting in the corner while Margo works because she feels safe with her

She and Pavitr immediately clicked when they first met

Hobie introduced her to him and she was absolutely in awe of this optimistic, colorful young man who was basically the exact opposite of her in personality terms

They're both South Indian so they quickly bonded over their shared culture

Despite Maitreyi being South Indian, she does speak some Hindi, along with German, English and Russian

She doesn't speak her mother-tongue or even know what it is because she was taken from her parents so young, but she tried to learn Hindi after moving to Brooklyn because she wanted to be closer to her culture

Pav and Maitreyi talk in Hindi to each other sometimes, which confused Hobie whenever he's with them

She looks up to Miguel O'Hara

She thinks he's a good leader and aspires to be like him, even though she hates his justification of canon events

They have similar powers (they both have fangs) and he taught her how to talk without showing her fangs so she can be less intimidating

She likes Mexican food and they often go to the cafeteria together to eat empanadas and etc...

Both of them enjoy silence and quality time, so when they do get food together, they don't talk, they just quietly enjoy the vibes

Its the same with Jess Drew

She thinks she's freaking awesome

Jess was Maitreyi's mentor, similarly to how she was Gwen's mentor in ATSV

Jess taught her how to drive a motorcycle and she fell in love with it

Sometimes when she needs to blow off steam, she'll ask Jess to take her motorcycle out for a drive (She'll always say yes)

She does NOT like Peter B. Parker

She doesn't find him funny and doesn't like his vibes

She doesn't appreciate the fact that he brings his baby on dangerous missions, because she has a major spot spot for children

She DOES however love Mayday

She especially loves babysitting her with Hobie and watching him play with her

She finds it very comforting and sometimes she'll find herself staring at Hobie, just admiring his features and his voice and has to snap herself back to reality before he notices

He 100% has no idea about her major crush on him because he's kind of dense about those things

Also she's not vocal about it and tries her best to be inconspicuous about how attracted she is to him

Canon Events:

Maitreyi's first canon event was the experiment in which she gained her powers

It functions as her version of the "Spider-bite"

Her second canon event was losing Gwen Stacy

After being saved from H.Y.D.R.A. by the Avengers, she tried to live her life out as a normal teenager, under the protection of the S.H.I.E.L.D.

S.H.I.E.L.D wanted her to assimilate with the public quickly in order to prevent the possibility of her falling under the influence of H.Y.D.R.A again, and believed that by engaging with people her age and creating emotional connections, it wouldn't happen

They allowed her to use her powers to protect Brooklyn as they wanted her to hone her abilities in a safe way, while also being able to ward off the possibility of Kingpin, Green Goblin or any of the other New York villains becoming Avengers-level threats

She was given a new name, Mary-Jane Watson, and sent to live in Brooklyn under the protection of May Parker, a retired S.H.I.E.L.D agent

She met Gwen Stacy at Brooklyn High and fell in love with her

They dated for a few months and Gwen quickly found out that she was Spider-woman

Maitreyi lost Gwen Stacy during a battle with her nemesis, Norman Osborne/Green Goblin

Maitreyi dropped out of school immediately after Gwen's death and turned her attention toward becoming a full-time Avenger

She also got rid of the alias, Mary-Jane Watson, because she wasn't fond of it in the first place and started using her original name instead

Her third canon event was losing her mentor, Steve Rogers/Captain America

In her universe's version of MCU Infinity War, where Thanos collected all the infinity stones, they were only able to stop him by killing him

Thanos destroyed the stones right before he died, and dusted away 50% of the population

Iron Man/Tony Stark was one of those 50% and therefore, they were never able to travel back in time to get the stones or do any of the things that happened in MCU Endgame

Steve Rogers was one of the people who was snapped away as well and Maitreyi held his hand as he died

Her fourth canon event was giving up her mask

Only a week after Thanos happened, she threw away her mask and went back to live with May, who was perfectly willing to house her

About two months after she gave up her mask, Miguel approached her and asked to recruit her to the Spider-Society

At first she was hesitant, but she accepted, taking back her mask and once again becoming, The Widow

This is all before the events of ATSV by the way, I have no idea how I'm gonna introduce her to ATSV-Gwen Stacy or Miles yet lol

Cecil:

Cecil is the fully human Narrator. (in the sense, the one who got his third swimming pool), he is a retired VA whos enjoying his life post tspud and is just overal chillin(tm)

The two new narrators are basically to cover the whole ground of narrater interpretations. (ie. some guy in his room recording, a guy in his room speaking but digital, and a fully digital entity)

so this is the one that is just a guy who voices in the game!

(this isnt meant to be kevan brighting, think of his source is the og game, but with the addition of the extra content(the ads, the raphael parable, the stuff on the dev logs, announcement videos, etc from crows crows crows as canon)

pronouns are he/him.

Virgil:

THE OG, MY OG GUY

Virgil is the half digital, half human Narrator. He used to be a regular office worker before being shoved into a computer and thus, becoming the voice for the Parable

His source follows TSPUD, my au La Vie En Jaune, (which you can read more of here!), all the art ive done with him on this blog, and the other things the narrator has been in (ie. dota 2, dungeons, audiobooks etc)

However, after Stanley and the Narrator find each other and break past the hard coded locks of the pARable, they end up in a more lighter version of the parable, more akin to a world the narrator, stanley, and lynne can pop in and out of. while also having more control and hold on themselves and the world.

the narrator is the first one to pop out of the parable, thanks to character!oz (my sona and the one that exists in this blog)

once the narrator gets a better handle at the real world, stanley and lynne follow.

here, hes a guy whos lived the parable and become a new person when coming back out.

He can hop between digital areas and the real world. which is how he is still able to do stuff as the narrator for dota, and work for other projects like dungeons and the multi media videos on yt.

his pronouns are he/they

he is a demiboy who is demisexual and omnisexual

Jarvis:

Jarvis is the fully digital Narrator. He is the one who was created in the Parable as a string of code turned AI.

His source and canon is just TSP, TSPUD, the demo, and the half life mod. He's experienced everything in the games a thousand times over and more.

Basically, hes the guy who pops between being just a voice or an ai with a model that follows stanley around the parable. he has control over the parable (to an extent ie. timekeeper and the developers) and is the one who wrote the story itself.

There is not much more to say about him really ajdjahf but despite the design and context, he isnt that much different from virgil

hes just more defensive, and more lost with living irl.

his pronouns are he/they/it

he is a non binary (smth smth "well, i dont associate with being either a male or female, i am still a binary entity. i am made of ones and zeros, stanley. so while my gender is non binary, my code is.") he is a pansexual demisexual

as of now, in an au idk what to call of atm (maybe just the three narry au) they are all living in the real world.

virgil popped into real life expecting to appear in character!oz's house but landed in cecils

meanwhile, jarvis got suddenly plopped into the real world. he doesnt know how to pop off but he doesnt miss it all too much

misses his stanley a bit.

assuming u mean my lil green idiot jojo boy, Mac ^^

iv talked about mac probably the most out of all my jojo ocs (considering he is much like a sona to me in ways)

but i love him, he's a big terrible silly man. He honestly is a good person but at time is a big selfish or cowardly.

In the events of my lil oc fan part, he is of the few who mostly stays a 'neutral' party in the fight. He's best friends with Janelle and Holly and will not stop them in their plans to take down Roxanne, but he also can't bring himself to support them. He is loyal to Roxanne. He know's shes a bad person and under her he has done bad things. Often justifying it for as long as Roxie keeps the promise of keeping their their 'family' safe and never bringing harm to them. Parts of him also fear that if Roxanne goes away, he might still be a bad person without someone to fall back on and make excuses for his behavior and actions. All the people he has hurt for her, all those he cared about that he's shown his crueler side to for her... what if all the times he said 'im not like that, im only doing it for her because she gave me so much i owe her' were just half ass excuses. What if he is just a bad person...

I dont have all of their story planned out, but i know Mac would eventually become a martyr. Picturing a scene where Roxanne has broken her promise to not hurt their 'family' and she's presumably killed Janelle and Mac can no longer defend Roxanne, fighting her and using what leniency he has been granted being one of Roxies closest and most trusted men. Getting himself killed while sending out a clue or a way for the rest of those trying to take down Roxanne could use to finally get rid of her. Janelle not only surviving but now finding a new reason to fight, for her friend who gave up his life and all for them.

Mac is a big big silly guy who is a good person who has been making bad choices for some time now and is winding up to a big karmatic pay.

so basically. i died. anyway days 10–14 of badsansuary :3 only more doodles and little blurbs of writing because, again, I Died :(

day 10: vibe check

this is like his love language or smth idk. bashing someone in the back of the head with a baseball bat <3333 (also whoa full body picture of my sona... yea their feet are paws mwahahha :3c)

day 11: rival

"stop!" jet screeches, kicking at dust defensively.

"stop—stop kickin' me!" he shouts back, leaning away from their kicking paws.

"not unless you stop beating my ass!"

dust growls, kicking back at jet while clutching his controller tighter, trying to focus on the tv screen despite the assault.

"not my fault you suck at smash," he spits, glaring over at them before his character hits jet's off the map once more.

jet cries out dramatically, wailing as the round ends and, once again, dust comes out the winner.

"i know you said you suck, but you really suck," killer quips from his seat across the living room, snacking on a chocolate bar. jet scowls, tossing the controller at his head. he easily catches it.

"let's see you do better." they roll their eyes, slumping in their seat.

as expected, dust wins once again. it seems to be his one skill, being good at this particular game. it's maddening.

day 12: haunted

ik papyrus is actually a hallucination but i think its funny if hes a ghost sometimes and its convenient for this little silly scenario so. anyway smth smth dogs can see ghosts whatever

"can you tell your brother to shut up?"

dust jolts, glancing up at jet where they sit, thrown over the armchair across the room.

"i... uh..." he stutters. the hallucination of his brother falls silent beside him.

"i mean, all he's been doing is, like, complain about you and complain about me and it's really annoying," they continue when dust doesn't say anything.

"you can... see him?" dust asks slowly.

jet scoffs, rolling their eyes and looking up at dust.

"and hear him. tell him to fuck off or something."

dust turns to the... ghost?? of his brother. ghost? he's not a hallucination?

"... could you always see him?" he asks quietly, if not a little annoyed. he thought this was a hallucination all this time, and it's actually a ghost of the brother he killed...

"i mean, he pops in and out, but generally," jet answers with a shrug. "he's really mean."

dust snorts humourlessly. yeah, like he didn't know that. he's the one papyrus has been cussing out for killing him.

as if to add salt i to the wound, papyrus decides to pipe up then, "I TOLD YOU, SANS."

"fuck off, paps."

day 13: shadow

i think its silly when hes like literally an eldrich abomination beneath his hood LMFAOOOOO

day 14: tears

just a coupla losers being goobers <33

"babe."

"hm?" dust grumbles as he rouses from his nap, glancing over at jet. they're surrounded by a pile of half-folded laundry. laundry day...

"look." they hold up one of his t-shirts. dust looks it over before looking at them again.

"what?" he asks with a yawn, stretching lazily.

"look!" they emphasize, sticking their finger through a tear in the fabric. dust sighs, sitting up.

"you woke me because there's a hole in my clothing."

"yes!" jet replies proudly.

"why?"

"cause, like, all of your clothing i've folded so far has been torn. to shreds!" they cry playfully.

"to shreds, you say?" he repeats.

"to! shreds!" they confirm, wiggling their finger through the hole for emphasis.

"so what'll we do?" dust asks, rolling onto his stomach and pillowing his skull on his folded arms.

"well, i guess you'll wear shredded clothing until you get more." jet shrugs.

dust shrugs as well, moving a little closer to burrow his face in their legs.

"'kay. can i go back to sleep now?" he rumbles.

jet huffs, patting dust's skull.

"sure."

I'm So excited to see where/how this goes literally on the edge of my seat some

So idk if you know of the character or show anon, but basically for a week (and a half??) I just been exploring themes of abandonment and running from your past sort of stuff with this character.

Like this is supposed to be a one-off, silly character in the show and yet I’m just going over and obsessing over what his possible backstory is and how he got exiled and everything. And how him and my sona have this weird Ellen Ripley and the Xenomorph from Alien type of dynamic if they were friends where he tried to make her a puppet so he won’t be lonely and she has to constantly spray him with water to correct him that controlling people is bad.

OKAY SO this will be a long post because I'm using this as an excuse to drop like. all of his lore. so we'll have a nice little summary at the top!! this is gonna have some timeline and half life lore fuckery for both retail and beta versions of hl2 so brace yourself for fan service to myself lol

Red was bitten by a poison headcrab which means that he doesn't have conventional spider powers (ooh big shocker). I haven't decided if I'm gonna give him sticky hands, spider sense, and webs or not but he definitely has the strength because super strength is handy and cool.

Red has:

non-retractable claws

venomous fangs, and venemous barbs that extend from his wrists. these both excrete a neurotoxin that is stronger on Combine soldiers than humans. it will severely injure humans and, generally, kill Combines.

barb-hairs on his arms, legs, and shoulders that act as whiskers to sense changes in his environment

sensitivity to heat and light, as well as heightened smell (possibly hearing? idk)

can screech, hiss, and rattle like a poison headcrab. used to keep other crabs from attacking him but if they see him it won't work lol

enhanced agility and strength

a natural resilience to Xen floral infections

Red is a pretty goofy guy!! He likes to make jokes and chat with anyone he can. He also picks up anything he finds interesting, from broken walkmans to bright pens to bits of jewelry. Anything he can bring to an older Resistance member and ask about the past, he will. Russell is always happy to talk about it, at least.

I think he'd like to hang out with Flynncore Miguel! Is that what we're calling him? 🤭 He enjoys tinkering with machinery, and he's always happy to talk with someone who knows more than him. The Spider Society would be pretty overwhelming though, I think it's more people in one place than he's ever seen in his life lol. he would try to destroy the go home machine also. it looks way too close to a Combine synth and/or a cremator head for his comfort, he would freak out.

okay now lore time!!

SO. we're gonna get fucky with the beta and canon timelines!! let's call them Beta and Lambda to avoid confusion, yeah? this isn't going to follow either of those canons entirely because I can do what I want, but it is going to heavily draw from them so if you aren't buried in half life lore like I am, I'm sorry, it's totally okay, I'm just cursed lol

Red was 3 when the Combine took over his Earth, Beta. He remembers small snippets of the time before the Seven Hour War but it's very fuzzy. At 6, he was sent to a cremator factory, just like the rest of the kids in his sector. He was there for 5 years, watching the Combine slowly sap Earth of its natural resources. The oceans were drained, the air was replaced with noxious gas, and humans were dying in droves, though no one dared to talk about it.

When Red was 11 there was an attempt at resistance. A small force of humans, led by Eli Maxwell and Alyx Vance, rose up and tried to overthrow the Combine's rule on Earth. They were tragically shut down and killed, but in the chaos of the revolution Red managed to escape the factory he was in and found a small group of Vortiguants preparing to leave. They had gathered enough antlion essence to open a portal to the borderworld of Xen, and took Red with them.

Xen was quite different from how these Vortiguants had left it. Luckily, there was another Earth connecting to it, an almost identical version, and they jumped through. This Earth (Lambda, remember?) was also being taken by the Combine. Red and the Vortiguants discovered that the Combine had discovered both versions, and decided to attempt different methods of subjugation in order to maximize their efforts. This had the added benefit of doubling the resources they could pull from the planets.

On their way to the nearest City, Red's group passed too close to a headcrab shell target outpost. Red was attacked by a poison headcrab, but the Vortiguants managed to kill it and remove it before it could tap into his brain stem. They still had some juice from the antlion essence and healed his wounds the best they could.

In City 17 they found and joined a Resistance branch. Red was far too young to actually fight of course, so instead he spent his time learning from the scientists about the technology that humanity had adapted, and hearing stories of Lambda Earth before the Combine invasion. Red became friends with some of the other re Resistance members his age, though strangely there were no children who had been born after the war.

At 15-16, his powers started to develop and mutate his body. This was terrifying, of course, but thankfully he knew of one Resistance member who might not be adverse to him: Dr Isaac Kleiner. Aware of the man's strange affinity for headcrabs, Red traveled to his safehouse and asked for help. When they were both quite sure that he was not a danger, Kleiner informed Dr Eli Vance of Red's situation. They decided to test his abilities in order to see if he could be a good asset to the Resistance. Lo and behold he was!

At 17 Red trained in order to actually fight, and started going out on scouting missions. He had a knack for predicting Combine attacks and for going into Xen-infested areas with little protection needed. So, after a couple years, he became an actual scout. He started salvaging Combine armor parts from dead soldiers in order to build up a suit for himself, and brought back any tech he found for the scientists in the Resistance to use.

Now, at 21, Red has become a capable fighter and scout, tracking Combine shipments and disrupting their activities in City 17. He hopes that this Earth will do what his couldn't to drive the Combine away for good.

toh sona! meet percy philibuster; he was an oracle track kid and got v interested in studying mindscape stuff after the one class w the memory pictures

he has peachy orange-pink magic and uses it differently than most witches—he draws the circle like anyone else but then weaves it on his hands to shape the spell (think like, cats cradle)

he’s half demon cuz ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ idk how else he’d get them wings

and he never wears shoes

I lowkey forgot what you showed were only the heads. Now i'm curious about the full body, hmmm what does FAQ and FoAQ look like? And what can you tell me about them (idk why but i was instantly drawn to them both)

I'm SO glad you were drawn to these two! :). Unfortunately due to what they are drawing them has always been something I've always avoided, so I don't really have full refs of their modern forms.

Cw: Gore! Body Horror! These two aren't nice in the slightest.

These two are members of a family of 8 whose family tree looks like a recycling logo (I will explain.)

So I created FAQ when I was in middle school, having recently learned of the magic of the internet and got interested in animation (Specifically, animation memes) around when everyone was obsessed with making them the most gorey, edgy things possible. I became inspired, captivated by the images of horror and terror. As well as a few bad tastes in video game letsplays (I'm looking at you, Watson-Scott test and your pig intestine question), I became hooked on horror, suffering, and ended up concocting a miserable pillar of pain that was partially a reflection of my own puberty-induced hell.

FAQ (First Amalgamate Queen) looks like a white obelisk, made out of an unknown, shiny material. Buried partially in the ground, it looks like a building, were it not for four fleshy, organic eyes on it's cap, but they're nearly invisible when it closes them.

It's full of gore. Mechanical, organic, limbs, its body pulses and throbs within it white shell. It's gore is black in color, due to its blood being an extremely volatile corrosive not even it is immune to, but its body heals and grows with a very powerful heart that produces unreasonable amounts of energy for the tower. The construction, operation, hell, even the space it's supposed to take up doesn't make sense at all, constantly changing, shifting, rotting, scabbing, and pulsing with agonized life.

It's shell is invulnerable. No weapon, no god, no being has pierced its armor. Hell, attacks are mostly futile anyways. It's been known for a habit of simply teleporting away from anything launched at it, and onto the attacker, peeling away it's invulnerble shell and consuming its target into its own body, like an amoeba, and dissolving them until they're lost within the mass. It has a taste for flesh and hunts wildly, indiscriminately, and without thought, consuming anything organic it can get its viscera on.

It can't be stopped, communicated with, bargained with, rationed with, slowed, harmed, imprisoned, restrained, poisoned, predicted, or helped. It ended with a violent death it itself had allowed to happen, corroding someone with it's own blood, it's own gore, letting it fester inside a host until that host was able to withstand FAQ's foaming insides, eat its energy-generating heart, and grow its own shell, becoming its own tower, draining FAQ of its life and letting it finally, truly, die.

When I'd first created it, that host, that second tower was my sona. I don't stick with it anymore, but what I'd been left after I grew and moved on with was undeniably insane for an eldritch monstrosity, and I integrated it into my story. SAQ (Second Amalgamate Queen) is FAQ's descendant, and it too would be killed and replaced by what would be TAQ, then FoAQ.

There's a bit of confusion regarding the power core of these towers and the fact there's more than one (specifically, a half), but TAQ was split up into two parts. FoAQ took one, the one with a whole heart, and a FoAQ and a half took the half heart.

SAQ, TAQ, FoAQ and any other descendant were all different from FAQ in that they seemed to be more conscious of themselves, what they were, they were more aware of the wider world and could actually be communicated with. SAQ actually managed to get a group of Ermista to offer sacrifices in exchange for whatever tech/offworld junk it stole, becoming a god in the process and persisting after death. (Killjoy and Toizon actually have to deal with the mouth end of that in their story).

FoAQ was notably a silent figure, keeping to itself and not caring about the wider scope of the world. Unlike its ancestors, who all perished when their hosts went awol and later decided they wanted the keys to the house, FoAQ took the time to create it's own replacements. In the image of its ancestors, FoAQ would create the False First through Third, all broken up versions of the original towers.

The False First would be the one to succeed FoAQ, as FiAQ. FiAQ was the last of the towers, it hunted down FoAQ and a half, stole its heart, and then proceeded to absolutely fuck shit up with its 1 1/2 cores.

FiAQ would eventually loose its half-heart when it got fused with four other beings of chaos, then later on, due to time-loop tomfuckery, its heart would get ripped out by a proto-version of FAQ called The Prism Star Monument, fused with an unfortunate void-corrupted looser called Cider, and would become FAQ. FAQ would be launched way back in time, long before any other tower existed, and start living in essentially it's own Bootstrap paradox where the heart has no point of origin. (im planning on leaving it like that too FAQ is defined by spite and unfairness and a lack of logic).

As for the name, I've decided that FAQ wouldn't name itself, I'm not even sure it's aware enough to do that, but instead it's a name given to it by researchers observing it and noting that sometimes its body would open up and it would toss out a piece of itself, and that piece would live on and do stuff. The researchers mistook that piece for FAQ's spawn, and would call it Amalgamate Queen. In reality, it's more like if you were filled with slugs that kept you alive, you decided you didn't like one of those slugs one day, and you reached inside yourself and pulled it out. That slug isn't your spawn but someone who had no clue how you worked might think you spawned slugs. (I do need an actual god-name for SAQ though).

I think that's it? There's more to talk about individual obelisks like TAQ, FiAQ, False Second, No.1 & No.2 and the two little rats they infected, but as for FAQ and FoAQ, that's kind of it.

yes bapy won the poll so i sketched a bapy for my sona and holly!!!!!

this is moggie!!!!! she’s a concept dragon/angel/vessel hybrid (boy thats a lot) and she’s mad all the time. takes after her uh. f. father? secondary guardian? dilf??? whatever the fuck parental term my sona would be idk. i have anger issues and so does mog

anyway!!! she’s named after one of my nan’s old cats from YEARS ago, like when i was a toddler — i could barely remember his name

when i was brainstorming names for her i remembered the cat moggie existed, and i was like “YES PERFECT”

apparently, though, as my mom just told me, HE was named after a character from a movie i think she referred to as space balls???? there was a guy who was half man half dog. he’s a mog. anyway, i thought the name was cute and i missed that damn cat (as well as my nan, rest in peace) so i named the new fankid after him. so her name is moggie :3

moggie herself isn’t canon to empty promises, she’s just a silly little character i made impulsively for my own comfort. she might appear in some fics or doodles though

OKAY Quick Rundown

Guy Heroic: Human Fighter, Battle Master i think (i lost his character sheet it's been a HOT minute). Guy Heroic is my silly attempt to make the most BASIC D&D Character of all time. Noble background, he's a prince. He likes cartography. His personal mission is to hunt down and kill a dragon that attacked his kingdom, but as far as I can tell not all is what it seems! His parents aren't as charitable as they present themselves! His new friend Ultyn is teaching him about communism :)

Mercury: Tiefling artificer, she's an alchemist :) Forgot her background, I have her sheet somewhere but I'm lazy. They make alchemical bombs :) Big fan of explosives and volatile substances. They were responsible for a workshop explosion that killed their younger sister, Cobalt, so they're working toward finding a more stable form of explosive that won't overload unaccompanied. But also she trades with a lot of shady individuals to get her hands on hard to obtain materials. i actually have an unfinished reference sheet for her

Zelmae: She's my everything. She was my everything long before Venali was incepted. Zelmaeeeee my girl. Half-elf cleric of Muflene, a made up goddess for my dear friend @pricemarshfield's campaign setting. Zelmae is a Pacifist, has (had?) a girlfriend named Daphne, and grew up really really secluded. She took a vow of silence at a young age, but was exiled from her home for Reasons (hello other players who don't know). She's not bound to that vow any more and doesn't really want to honor it anymore after everything, but having not spoken for so long, her voice is shot. She communicates almost exclusively with sign language. Also, she's having a generally Pretty Bad Time where she doesn't know how much faith she has anymore <3 Rough for a cleric. I don't have any current art for her, she needs to have a redesign.

Tozra Cardove: Half-elf bard, college of swords, entertainer background. He's my Wyll romance tav and I don't know too terribly much about him other than he's had a crush on Wyll and is a little starstruck in meeting him - the famed Blade of Frontiers ! I'm not very far in that save yet bc I'm still playing Venali for the third time ;-;. I'll get there.

Ninasi Mavaro: I've forgotten just about everything about her outside of vibes. Drow rogue thief. She has a casual relationship with murder as well, but she's not like. Into it. There's no satisfaction there. I gotta find out where I wrote all of this stuff down, her character sheet is Somewhere.

Lilfi Zinwyse Sona Heslin "Limbo" "Seeker" Lastreach: Gnome rogue, goes by Seeker, she's a treasure hunter! She's sort of a predecessor to Venali in those terms bc Ven's backstory borrowed a little bit from Seeker. Not much, but definitely some commonalities in terms of Shit Went Down in some old ruins, but man. idk. Seeker kinda stopped there in terms of development other than she wants to travel but her family are really deep in some woods and don't want her to. They want her to stay and help, but she wants to go out and explore (and steal objects to sell to bring money back to her clan.)

Micha "Bane" Folkor: Gnome cleric of Helm i believe. They grew up noble in a large city (i forgot which one i said bc i wrote it well before i learned more about forgotten realms lore). Their father was an inventor and merchant and that's where the family wealth came from. They weren't set with some of the practices being used to uphold that wealth, so they left to try to spread some good in the world.

I have PLANY more but my memory for them is way worse than it is for some of these guys :)
