Too Sweet
Ok, so here's my hot take (or maybe not, who knows) about the Hozier song Too Sweet being Nanami-coded. When the song first came out, everyone was screaming that it's Nanami-coded so obviously I gave it a listen and when it was done...I was a bit confused.
There is nothing about this song that makes me think of Nanami. Save for the chorus:
"I think I'll take my whiskey neat
My coffee black and my bed at three"
With the exception of those lines I fail to see how any of the rest of the song relates to Nanami. The song talks about a man who (apparently) is in a relationship with someone who lives a contrasting life to his own. His s/o seems to be someone who likes structure and a more stable life with a plan, whereas he prefers spontaneity and some of the darker aspects of life.
Now, I can't help but picture Nanami as someone who craves this kind of structured lifestyle as well. We know he's tired and I think he would love it if he could find someone that could bring a touch of domesticity into his life. The song narrator sounds like the person Nanami is right now, like making the best decisions he can with whatever he has but I just don't feel like he'd reject someone trying to provide him with comforts like making sure he gets enough sleep, or that he's living life to the fullest.
As for the "you're too sweet for me" I can imagine Nanami saying this when he finds his s/o doing things that he doesn't necessarily expect of them, like staying up waiting for him when he gets home late, or bringing him his lunch if he forgets it. The song though, almost makes it sound like the narrator is patronizing the s/o because they're "too sweet" for the rough and almost bitter lifestyle he prefers.
"sweet as a grape
If you can sit in a barrel, maybe I'll wait"
This almost makes it sound like the narrator is asking s/o to wait on him and see if they'll change their mind about the type of lifestyle they want vs the one he's leading. That almost feels like he's not making promises to the s/o but rather, he's waiting for them to accept his lifestyle and maybe ease up on their own expectations as to how they want to live ("You treat your mouth as if it's Heaven's gate, The rest of you like you're the TSA"). I can't imagine Nanami leading someone on like that, or asking them to change their mind on something that they clearly have worked hard to attain.
I guess what I'm trying to say here is Nanami isn't someone running away from wanting a structured life and stability. He very much wants it, but he's stuck with the current lifestyle of working long hours and sleeping whenever he can. He doesn't want it, but it's what he has and he's doing his best to make it work.
Anyway, I fail to find the connection between Nanami and this song. This is just my opinion and thoughts, of course, everyone is free to feel how they feel. No shade to Hozier though, it's a nice song on it's own, just not Nanami-coded.
Thanks for listening to me ramble.

How to fight writer's block (45 ways)
If you are indecisive like me, use a 1-45 number generator and do that one
Listen to music that's the vibe of the scene you need to write.
Set small goals, like one sentence a day. Majority of the time that will make you want to write more
Get an accountability partner
Use writing sprints, write for 5 or 10 minutes without stopping. Then take a break and repeat.
STOP BEING SCARED TO WRITE BADLY
write something random, maybe just a paragraph to get in the flow
write while doing something else, like eating lunch or watching TV if you can focus
read a book you wouldn't normally read
do some physical activity
do writing games/writing prompts
imagine people making fanfiction about your work
watch a movie/show to inspire you
write the scene you've been wanting to write
do something else creative (doodle, paint, cook, etc)
edit a scene
rewrite a scene in a different setting
take a shower/bath or just wash your face
pick up a random book/remember a book you've read and "pick a fight" with the author. What did they do that you didn't like and why don't you?
listen to your favorite song (with lyrics) but imagine it in a different context. imagine it a scene from a show/a show.
make a list of things you want to include in your work, eventually you will come across an idea you will want to write.
use pen and paper
create a check list of things you have to do (make them small like open computer, open google docs, write one paragraph, etc.)
identify your strengths
identify your weaknesses
write from a different pov
remember why you started writing this project
remember why you started writing in general
dress up and pretend you are in a movie about a writer
reread your writing and find your favorite part
create a writing ritual, do two thing to get you in the mood of writing
take a break
write for one imaginary reader, what does that one reader want to see?
write some bad poetry (helps you "feel" your emotions)
use this game, you have to write an amount of words that you choose before the opponent knocks you out: Fighter's Block! (cerey.github.io)
write with a friend
write badly on purpose. And when i mean bad or cringe i mean commit. Write a dicord mod x discord kitten Wattpad fic (maybe dont post it though 😭). Just make yourself laugh
If you are stuck because you dont know what to do come up with something stupid that can be changed later (for this one scene the hero a has fourth leg that allows them to dig through the wall)
Figure out why you can't write and address that first.
imagine someone reading your story for the first time and it inspires them to do something they wouldn't have done otherwise (confess to their crush, start writing too, come out, etc)
GIVE YOURSELF DEADLINES AND STICK TO THEM
OR HAVE SOMEONE GIVE YOU DEADLINES
write about having writers block
write something that isn't yours (dont steal peoples work and try to publish it/pass it off as yours). Like a scene from a show or incorporate song lyrics into your scene.
create Pinterest boards based off your characters/plot/scenes
STOP BELEIVING IN WRITERS BLOCK AND WORK THOUGH IT. WRITE IT BADLY. WRITE IT BADLY. WRITE IT BADLY. WRITE WHEN YOU DONT FEEL LIKE IT. WRITE WHEN YOU THINK YOUR TERRIBLE. WRITE WHEN YOU ARE UPSET. WRITE IT BADLY.

previous song | back to playlist
"Here."
A black cassette tape was tossed onto your desk. You looked at it with furrowed brows as you removed your headphones and picked it up, glancing up at the man who was clearly trying -- and failing -- to hide a stupid grin.
You flipped it over. You recognized the smudged sticker that was meant to read Mingyu's Tape. Even though the boy in question apparently had the tape, he didn't relabel it.
"Why'd you have this?" you ask him.
He nodded toward you, "Just listen to it."
You flashed him a suspicious look before you stood up from your desk and walked over to Mingyu's nightstand. You were borrowing Wonwoo's laptop to do some editing -- all of his tech was a lot better than yours -- so you decided to just stay the night at their dorm anyway.
Mingyu had invested in one of those radios like the one you had at home because he wanted to hear some of your tapes. You popped the one he tossed at you in the player and then made yourself comfortable in his bed. Mingyu flopped down right beside you, already giggling to himself.
All of the songs were familiar to you. Obviously. You were the one who made the tape.
There was a pause after I Wanna Be Yours. Normally, that was where the tape had stopped, so you expected the silence. But then, you suddenly heard the sound of a drum, followed by a familiar guitar melody.
Almost immediately, you huffed and rolled your eyes. That cued loud laughter from your boyfriend.
"Shrek? Really?" you asked him.
"Baby, you love Shrek!" he insisted, trying to justify why that one Counting Crows song was suddenly added to the playlist. "But that's not why. Just listen."
So she said, what's the problem, baby? What's the problem? I don't know; Well maybe I'm in love.
Right. You'd forgotten just how sappy this song was. You never really fully thought about the lyrics because the song was connected with a Shrek movie.
"So you added to my tape?" you asked him, turning your head to look at him with a small smile.
He shrugged, "I had to. It couldn't just end where it did."
"Why not?"
"Because I am yours now. Duh."
Come on, come on, move a little closer; Come on, come on, I want to hear you whisper; Come on, come on, settle down inside my love.
You couldn't help but giggle at the way he said it. It was no secret how excited and giddy Mingyu was ever since you said you accepted his confession -- even if over a year had gone by already.
"And why did you choose this song?" you wondered.
Come on, come on, we were once upon a time in love; We're accidentally in love.
He scoffed, "You don't think this song is perfect for us?"
Accidentally in love; Accidentally in love; Accidentally--
It kind of was. You never meant to fall for Mingyu. Actually, everything that lead up to you and Mingyu had started off as just you and Hansol. And yeah, you were good friends with him now, but if you had gone back in time and told yourself you'd end up with Mingyu, you'd probably laugh.
I'm in love, I'm in love; I'm in love, I'm in love; I'm in love, I'm in love.
"Alright, last question," you decided, rolling over onto Mingyu so you could look down at him with a sweet smile as you looked into his warm brown eyes. He never stopped looking at you like you were the best thing to grace the planet. "Why'd you add to the playlist now? I made this so long ago."
Come on, come on, spin a little tighter; Come on, come on, and the world's a little brighter; Come on, come on, just get yourself inside her love.
He just shrugged and said, "Better late than never, right?"
Then he rolled the two of you over so he was over you, planting kisses all over your face as he heard you laugh over the end of the song.
I'm in love.

my ranking of The Bridge by Billy Joel, just how i'm feeling right now
1) Getting Closer - this one just has such good vibes, i really love it, but there's not much specifics i can point out besides like there's a bunch in the main part of the song i love and definitely like the last 30 seconds are so nice
2) A Matter of Trust - yeah with this one too it's not like a super strong knowing it's one of my favorites, i just have fun with it, and i really like how it starts
3) Code of Silence ft. Cyndi Lauper - this one hits pretty close for me and it always makes me think a lot, i really like that, and yeah i really like this song
4) Temptation - i think this song is funny lol and i also really like how it sounds
5) Modern Woman - i also think this one is funny lol, and i always have fun with it
6) Big Man on Mulberry Street - i really like parts of it but overall it doesn't stick out to me too much, like i feel like i have a vague sense of what it sounds like yknow? cus it doesn't stick too much when i listen to it
7) This is the Time - has a lot of really nice moments, just overall not an absolute favorite
8) Running on Ice - yeah this is a good solid song, i do like it a lot, it just doesn't stick out in my mind very much
9) Baby Grand ft. Ray Charles - i still really like it, it's just not my favorite. it's funny when they're just talking to each other though (like that Michael Jackson song where he and Paul McCartney are just talking to each other at one point lmao) (right, The Girl Is Mine, that's what it's called)
