the bright lights of the dentist office burn into your eyes, your hands immediately moving up to cover them as you whined. "'s so bright."

you hear the distant sound of your boyfriend's laugh, feeling a hand reach up to rub your shoulder back and forth.

"how're you doing baby?" a voice calls out.

you look up, being met with the sight of the brunette haired boy. you feel the numbness in your mouth, hearing yourself slur out the question "am i done yet?"

"yes, sweetheart, you did so good." your boyfriend, matt, smiles, his hand moving up to stroke your cheek.

you blink, trying to regain your focus as you look at the boy. you know he's a triplet, but did they always look so similar? you could've sworn it was your boyfriend who had driven you to the dentists office alone, what was chris doing here now?

"don't call me sweetheart, chris," you said, your mouth full of gauze, "only matty can call me that."

he laughs at your confused expression, continuing to rub his thumb back and forth across your cheekbone.

"'s not funny, matt's gonna be soo mad at you," you say, turning your face to swat away his hand, "can you go get him?"

"i'm right here baby." matt giggles, moving his hand away and opting to bring it back down to your shoulder.

"i want matt, chris, not you." you exclaim as you sit up, the sound of a monitor beeping, notifying the dentist that the blood pressure monitor on your finger had been removed.

matt quickly moves to help you, putting the monitor back onto your finger once more. you two continue to chat (well, chat isn't the right term, it's mostly you denying the fact matt is infact there with you) until the dentist comes in with a wheelchair, letting you know you're clear to go.

your boyfriend brings his arm around your waist gently, helping get you situated into the chair.

"are we going to get matt?" you ask, looking up between the brunette boy and the dentist. the both of them laugh, the dentist shooting matt a look as if to say aren't you matt?

you safely make it down into the parking garage, matt helping you get into your seat while the dentist bids his goodbye and returned to his office building. you lounged in the seat, getting comfortable as you heard matt chris mumble something about getting a parking ticket and being back quickly. you close your eyes, leaning your head against the window of the car, trying to rest.

the sound of a car door opening snaps you out of your state of relaxation, matt climbing into the van with a white slip in his hands.

"matty!" you exclaim, leaning over to throw your arms around his neck to engulf him in a hug. "i missed you!"

"hi, my love," matt laughs, hugging you back, "how'd it go?"

"they took my teeth!" you tell him, opening your mouth wide. "see?"

matt laughs, shaking his head while starting the car.

"the craziest thing happened though," you say, "chris was there too! isn't that funny?"

"yes, sweetheart," matt giggles, watching you lean your head against the window once more as you doze off into sleep.

BNHA Boys and Pro Heros as Types of Light Pt. 2

A lot of people seemed to enjoy the first round of this series that I did so I have decided to do another one! This second round was inspired by an anon who specifically asked for Iida...but I also included a few pro heros to round it out.

So when I think of Iida I think of Lamp light:

Iida is like late night reading in the comfort of a large, worn, leather chair. He makes you feel warm to your toes when you're in his presence as if you could fall asleep, but knowing he is near you makes you want to be motivated to do better; to be better for him. He feels expensive and classy, but he feels timeless. To quote Taylor Swift, Iida truly never goes out of style--.

Now Present Mic is Neon Lights:

He is loud and in your face. He is charged and full of energy at all times that sends a zing down your spine. I know this man smells like citrus and mint--am I projecting? Probably. Anyway, he is excitement. He is what it feels like to stay up past your bedtime; he is the head rush you never want to end.

Fatgum is Carnival Lights:

Fatgum feels like having cotton candy. He is sweet to the senses--all of them. The blonde hair, the blue eyes, the round rosy cheeks...He brings a smile to your face that cannot be stopped no matter how hard you try. He brings a sense of nostalgia to your soul when you're near him that feels like you're at a festival in your hometown and he has just won you a teddy bear...your heart might just explode.

Shouta Aizawa is the glow of a television:

Late at night, long after the movie is forgotten but the tv glows...that is what shouta feels like. It's quiet, it fills the room just enough to show the shadows of your lover's face to see the planes of his peaceful face as you hold him. It shows the way he runs his fingers along your arm slowly...the glow of that tv has seen so many secrets; much like Shouta. He is trustworthy, steady, quiet.

Hawks is the faraway lights of the city:

Hawks feels like when you drive just far enough out of the city to get away, but not far enough to know its not there. He feels like he isn't fully yours, but you will enjoy him while you have him. You will lean into him and kiss him while the blurred lights of the city shines behind you before he flies off to the other people you share him with. You'll remember what these lights look like forever and always hope that they will just be beautiful one day and not remind you that you share your hero with the world.

Robin, Eddie, Nancy and Steve all go to a rocky horror showing. Naturally they all dress up, they all expect Steve to have absolutely no idea what he’s in for but surprisingly he’s right there with Eddie screaming in all the right places and looking like he was waiting his whole life to experience this.

They all stay at Eddie’s after, not wanting to wake up their parents. Wayne gets up in the morning to find Steve cooking breakfast with lipstick marks all over his mouth and neck. He doesn’t think much of it, putting it down to teenage kicks. But when Eddie wanders into the kitchen in full makeup and suspiciously the exact same shade of lipstick on? Well that’s none of Wayne’s business and as he’s grinning on his way out the door wishing the boys a good morning they finally catch sight of each other in the light, mussed up and marked up.

They wake Nancy and Robin up with their obnoxiously loud laughter but as breakfast is ready, the girls can’t say they are annoyed. Eddie and Steve? They haven’t stopped blushing but they haven’t stopped smiling at each other either.

hi! I have a fun lil anecdote I thought I'd share with you.

So I've been following you since the golden age of skam, but after skam ended I left tumblr and only reactivated recently. Since all the former skam blogs I was following had moved on to different fandoms, my "for you" page was filled with random stuff I'd never even heard of. Most prominently, some weird cdrama called The Untamed, thanks primarily to you.

Now I don't watch TV. I haven't watched a single series since skam ended. I don't have the attention span, and my autistic brain tends to struggle connecting with the characters. And if I was gonna watch TV, I had absolutely no interest in cdramas, and frankly tumblr's point-blank insistence that I look at The Untamed content was getting on my nerves, and I was basically working full time trying to get it out of my recommendations bc I Was Not Interested Goddammit!!

...anyway I'm on episode 17, have legally adopted Wei Wuxian and am planning my wedding with Jiang Yanli. Thank you for your time

I hit a milestone on tumblr recently and it feels a little more of a personal thing for me than usual because years and years ago, I was a kid that wanted to make funny webcomics on tumblr.

Obviously that path has kind of changed but I think little me would be in utter disbelief if I told her, hey, more people than you can fit in a house are actually going to like your art enough to click that follow button. Heck, older me can hardly believe it lol.

i’ve talked about tested quite a bit, and in the interest of not repeating myself, i wanted to talk a little bit about triggers and the manifestation of them, because i see that happening in both kurt and blaine during this ep. 

traumatic events can trigger all kinds of reactions, and unfortunately, both kurt and blaine now have this particular traumatic experience in common. i talked a little about last ep and kurt’s history with fighting homophobes, particularly, the significance of him deciding to do so physically. i....think it’s fascinating that right after that, we get a focus on exercise, his body, his strength, his competence in combat, and a new healthy diet that he’s following. now, exercising and eating healthy aren’t inherently bad, but what kurt says, the 80+ push-ups, the only taking a sip of the frozen hot chocolate and then saying he’ll run home, the salads, the walking, plus blaine pointing out his diet, all of it reads like he’s clinging a little too tight to these things, trying to use them as distractions from dealing with how he feels after everything (sex is another piece of that, but that’s a different post). to me, something about this attack triggered everything kurt survived in high school - being assaulted, being thrown into dumpsters, etc, and this way of strengthening himself feels connected to that. a refusal to let anything like it happen again, if you will.

as for blaine, what stuck out to me was, during his voiceover, his mentions of lifting, boxing, and being in dalton fight club. we saw in 3x08 and 3x15 that boxing seemed to be one of his outlets to release anger/stress, so it’s interesting to me that he does not do that this time. instead, he’s emotional eating. this brought me back to 2x06, and what blaine says about running. that’s what he did, after he was attacked. he ran, let bullies chase him away. after something similar happens to kurt, he’s getting stronger. and i think the combination of traumatic memories and kurt’s response to what happened to him triggers these insecurities for blaine. he puts his worth in how much use he can be to people, and now that he perceives kurt to be stronger than him, he doesn’t believe kurt will have any use for him, or as blaine sees it: he doesn’t believe he has any value. we’re missing a lot of pieces regarding that sadie hawkins attack, but one thing is clear: blaine was scared, he decided to run to dalton, and he regrets it. and what kurt’s doing, while entirely unrelated to blaine, is sending him into this tailspin because blaine hasn’t properly dealt with what happened to him.
